So @museqmeg made a twitter post and WATANABE LORE JUMPSCARE
This is wild, because
Opulent indeed. I love that we had this subtle bit of world-building all along, but I know it never completely registered. No wonder they have a military police that travels the desert, they control the water supply to folks with an ever-shrinking plant population--which are being stolen BY JULAI because Conrad and Knives run the fucking place!
Also Roberto 100% has a connection with Julai, we already saw the other symbol on (probably the other side of?) his flask, so everyone who's been telling those wonderful theories about Roberto being ex-military police are even more likely to be onto something
Y’know how far to the limit can we get insomniac!Peter to where he’s more of a threat then the villains?
Otto, whom he loved and looked up to, betrayed him. Throughout the game, Peter blames himself for not being able to help Otto.
Officer Davis is killed in a terrorist attack which he blames himself for because he didn’t prevent it.
Aunt May dies because of Devil’s Breath, and Peter could have saved her, but he had to make the right but hardest decision.
Yuri, one of his best friends, becomes a serial killer.
Harry, his childhood best friend, is dying.
Now the crazy ex-girlfriend Venom is around to feed off and heighten all those emotions Peter has bottled up inside. I really hope we have a moment where Miles has to take Peter on in a boss fight. I want Miles to be the one to bring his mentor back.
I have many, many thoughts about this game and am so excited for it.
If Marx at twenty-two had a problem, it was that he was attracted to too many things and people. Marx's favorite adjective was "interesting." The world seemed filled with interesting books to read, interesting plays and movies to see, interesting games to play, interesting food to taste, and interesting people to have sex with and sometimes even to fall in love with. To Marx, it seemed foolish not to love as many things as you could.
Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, by Gabrielle Zevin
About a full month has passed since I’ve started and it’s safe to say I’m thoroughly attached, have other sketches on the way as well as a proper commandant reference sheet. c:
Summertime Rendering is one of my favourite stories of all time.
It is just so solid front to back, the characters and pacing is fantastic, the tone is great, and it is my go to standard for how much gore and violence is the perfect amount to punctuate a given story.
It's so goddam clever down to the last detail, and on top of that the anime's production is off the fucking charts.
