Quick while I made some stuff for the Murase AU not too long ago, some overdue asks (with doodles) under the cut!

First, while Kunikida and Dazai are indeed referred to as partners, in practice the ADA doesn't seem to really care all that much about consistent pair-ups. They seem to mainly go with who's available for what job at the moment, but let's consider those pair-ups the "default". I am not original at all and think it should be Ranpo. For flavour. Kunikida isn't here yet, as far as we know, since he would be just a teen. Fukuzawa said he started the ADA to give Ranpo the opportunity to help, and to "arm" him. And what can Chuuya do if not be very efficient backup!! And also rhymes and stuff with Chuuya getting paired with another genius. (and if Yosano isn't busy with like, medicine studies and stuff, she can come too for maximum chaos)

To be honest I don't like the implication here that Dazai doesn't treat others like humans. Don't mix up his habit of not sharing his full plans with disdain for people! Even as a teenager Dazai saw value in being surrounded by others, and he defended Chuuya's humanity against all odds. He is rough and learning but he always operates with people's feelings and motivations in mind. Ranpo literally saw others as inferior to him for a long while, it's fine, it's not that deep. Both geniuses have qualities and shortcomings but they both care a lot.

The comic a made recently was about that: since Chuuya got used to Dazai being the genius who knows everything and predicts everything, Ranpo would have to do some pretty impressive things to get the kind of respect he wants from Chuuya. Like, this guy has a big mouth, is lazy, is whiny, can't get around on his own, can't fight on his own, and yet he's supposed to think of him as better than Dazai? And he's using some ability to cheat too?? Come on. (he will recognize his skill though. in due time. he will learn.)

Murase is not gonna steal Fukuzawa's job!! He can be like, an honorary uncle. The inside guy. The funny man who embarrasses Chuuya once in a while. Just a dude who has seen a lot and knows a lot and likes working with them. A gentle man, if you will.

I think Murase would re-categorize Dazai as "Chuuya's friend" (despite Chuuya's wishes) once he joins the ADA, because if Murase thought Chuuya could leave the underworld to live in the light, and he himself strives to do better than the crimes he committed during the war, why would he refuse Dazai's growth and wish to help?

Featherless Flight AU

aka dca avian au where these fucks r BIRDS

(disclaimer this is a sun x moon au. it also deals with heavy themes such as child abuse, death, violence, and. ya know. wutever tws come with the apocalypse (also these will not be talked about in detail in this post))

nothing robotic in them. just feathers, blood, and bones. a lot of that stuff may be lost or break throughout their story! but lemme at least tell u wut they look like (without having my own drawings OTL (i only have a ref for their faces (which im not confident of)))

a quick note for both of their designs, they r both Fully Covered in feathers, including their arms and faces (yes they have arms And wings). the only places that dont have feathers is their lower legs and hands. they have anthropomorphic legs. and their face shape is also similar to a barn owl, as shown here (ignore the lack of mouths, idk wut to give them)

suns design! he has the coloring and general design of a sun conure. hes full of bright reds and yellows, tho the green is replaced with a bit of blue. he has multiple crests around his head that fluff up similar to a cockatiel but theyre in a way that make it look like rays. in the drawing above is wut they look like without their crests raised; that is their default. suns feet r grasping feet which r 2 toes in the front and 2 in the back. sun has high speed wings so aes a lot faster. (if u dont know wut any of this means i recommend u look it up, im a bird nerd) sun is also specifically an omnivore (them having different diets is actually plot relevant)

moons design next. moon is the color of a hyacinth macaw tho his anatomy is closer to an owl. he has one large crest on his head like a cockatoo. its also colorblind! since its anatomy is based mainly off of owls, for moons ability to see at night means he can see less colors. and bc hes more sensitive at night his eyes r always half closed in light, making it look sleepy despite being fully awake. moon has raptor feet with 3 toes in the front and 1 in the back. xis claws r also much larger than suns. moon has passive soaring wings which is better for longer flights. and moon is a carnivore :)

theres also an eclipse but their design is an enigma to me even in my own mind

but back to sun and moon! if anyone is curious moon uses he/it/xe pronouns while sun uses he/it/ae pronouns. they r both aroace and love each other deeply (qpr babyyyyy). sun is genderfluid while moon doesnt give a shit (agender).

sun is more bubbly and energetic. very much high energy bouncing off the walls. hes the kind of optimist where u cant tell if their "bright side"s r trying to help or be condescending. its a master at back handed compliments. heavily a perfectionist and will reach the point of screaming fits if wut he doesnt isnt perfect. ae has a lot of self image issues. ae hides a lot of aers lack of self confidence and doubt behind a wall of "im the best", tho that wall can crash very easily. a bit of a flirt, but mainly bc he just enjoys seeing how ppl react. he takes compliments from everyone but moons compliments r always the best

moon is lower energy and calmer. at least, he acts like it. hes more reserved and if it wasnt for sun he wouldnt have any friends or talk to ppl at all. he fears abandonment and sun is the only person who has stayed with him this whole time and is the only person he truly trusts. is very aggressive towards anyone it doesnt know. despite being shorter than sun (hes 6ft while sun is 7ft) it definitely does a good job at intimidating ppl. over time when xe becomes comfortable with someone xe will eventually calm down and show a bit of a softer side to them. when xes actually calm and likes someone xe can be a bit... chaotic :)

im honestly not sure where ill start their story since ive already thought about their childhood but i also wanna write about their adulthood as well. the story of their childhood mainly deals with the abuse they went through, then with adulthood theyre shoved into an apocalypse bc... y not :) (btw the apocalypse is mainly just bc ive been enjoying apocalypse aus a Lot lately and wanna write one. the child abuse is for their development and to show y they act the way they do. while it will be fun to write their development, i am by no means saying abuse is okay and this topic will be treated carefully and seriously.)

Okay lets get the most obvious one to me out of the way, which is Link in the Yellow Lion. Like. First of all the fact that Yellow is A LEG and also Yellow representing kindness .... I think he really does support the team and grounds them in many aspects. Also Yellow is bulky like a dnd paladin LMAO it just makes the MOST sense to me? Yellow also being the color I associate with Link so maybe that gives me a slight bias lmaooo

The rest are. LESS clear to me. I HAVE already settled on an arrangement I'm more or less okay with but I could make a lot of arguments for alternative placements !! I will also admit maybe the places I settled on are a little color biased?

The Lions DO kind of have traits associated with each one except its. much less clear in some cases than others and I had to be a little flexible bc in my opinion NONE of the teens r like . smart enough for the Green Lion JWBECWUAGAHAA like they're all smart in their own ways and I do bend some rules a little to make their smarts work as an argument but I feel like Green is more book smart than anything which makes it difficult.

Uhmmm everyone else from here on out has at least two lions I could argue for and then I'll say which one I settled on? But like if you disagree thats totally fair LMAO like I said many assignments can be considered

Scary I mainly thought about the Black or Red Lion... There's the whole. Scary's the leader! Thing and also the idea of power corrupting... but also she can be pretty impulsive which is why I considered Red, also her tendency to have fire based magic mishaps LMAO I think Scary shows a lot of growth and inner reflection and also she has good insight on how the others seem to be feeling even if she doesn't always act on it or use it in the right way, so I could see that as the markings for the beginning of a Black Lion learning to be the leader type arc? Also to be honest shes the Main and practically Only contender for Black so she ends up getting it by default.

Hermie I think could be the Blue or Green Lion. I don't actually remember if they say IN THE SHOW what the Blue Lion stands for, but like. I've read so much Lance fanfic LMAO that to me it stands for Flexibility and what is Hermie if not flexible. Maybe too flexible? In the sense of. She will fill any role that is needed or given to her, like water will. I also thought Green bc to me Hermie is a character who is VERY in his head. Like they overthink to the point of looping back around to stupid again but also shes always playing mind games with other people. Hermie seems to always be one step ahead or at least is good at pretending they are. Also you can say the nature stuff is Hermie in his poison ivy era. Green is also pretty small and easy to damage which lines up with how fragile he is in a fight and maybe you could make an argument for the camouflage being like shapeshifting? idk. Anyways I decided on Green I think.

Normal I think I'm biased bc he's my fav and Lance was my old fav and I already made a post before about how I think they're similar and would get along and ANYWAYS LMAO I think its clear I gave him Blue. Something something, the legs being the support of the team something something water meaning flexibility but also ice can be stubbornness something something how I associate Normal (and lowkey the Doodler) with water (a whole nother thing to get into u can ask me to elaborate later) etc. I also played around with the idea of him in Red as Scary's right hand bc . shakes them . I think it could possibly fit but not as well? Fire isn't really Normals thing. I also briefly considered him for Black bc Normal is usually the one pushing the group towards a certain goal, but also his plans kind of never end up going through so I was like hmm not sure about that one. Blue I think is the best fit for him in the end which is why everyone else ended up where they did.

TAYLOR. Ok process of elimination you probably already figured out that I chose Red for him BUT I also considered Blue and Green. Green is fun bc you can play with his roughish abilities, like hiding and sneak attacks. His knowledge is more obscure facts and survival skills but I think it's enough to be a contender! I cannot explain the Blue stuff its all vibes in my head but trust me . I think also leaning into, Blue and Yellow are the legs that support and stabilize the team thing, Taylor is actually pretty good at keeping a cool head all things considered. Red, yes maybe slightly process of elimination but COME ON ITS BIG SWORD AND ALSO FIRE POWERS!!! Taylor would love that shit. Also going zoom zoom fast. Also the Red Lion is the second in command/right hand of the Black Lion and it just fits Taylor's protagonist vibes LMAO I think he usually is off doing is own thing which is also very Red Lion.

So to summarize: Scary Black, Taylor Red, Hermie Green, Link Yellow and Normal Blue.

Again I could totally see the justification for shuffling them around a bit but this is the assignments I settled on? The colors lining up is also nice I will not lie. I also could see an alternate universe where Normal is Red, Hermie Blue and Taylor Green, I think thats my second most favorable arrangement.

About me

When did you start writing? I've written silly little stories throughout middle school and high school, though technically I've only started writing fanfic two years ago, after I became obsessed with a certain chocolate-button-eyed British actor :)

Are there different genres or themes you enjoy reading other than the ones you write? Fantasy (I've written one fantasy AU; I want to write more though) and mysteries. Funnily enough, I write mainly romance but I don't enjoy reading romance at all (I guess that's why I started writing my own!)

Is there an author you want to emulate, or are compared to often? I wish I got compared to a famous author, lol! I write a lot of historical stuff, and other than the classical authors (Bronte and Tolstoy are the two main ones for me), I'm influenced a lot by A.S. Byatt. Her writing is so subtle and poetic at the same time, and her characters and their relationships are so complex but still feel real.

Can you tell me a bit about your writing space? There's not much to tell, haha. I don't really have a "writing space", it's just either at my horribly cluttered desk or in bed.

What’s your most effective way to muster up a muse? Music! Most of my stories are inspired by music (and are titled after songs/lyrics), and sometimes, when I'm stuck, a song can help a great deal in getting me inspired again.

Did the place(s) you grew up in influence the people and/or places you write about? Kind of? I've written one fic (well, a series - one long fic and a one-shot) set in my city.

Are there any recurring themes in your writing? If so, do they surprise you? Loneliness and family issues. Not surprising at all 🥲

Characters

Would you please tell me about your current favorite character? I'm currently writing for Emperor Geta (Gladiator II) so I guess he's my favorite by default. He's such an ass (probably the most asshole-ish character I've ever written, even more than Paul) but that's what makes him so fun to write!

Which of your characters would you be friends with in real life? Eddie for sure. Heck, I was basically Eddie myself in high school (minus the whole Satanic Panic thing.) And Leonard! We can discuss books and music and take long walks together. Maybe Billy too, who's such a sweetheart. Ralph would annoy me (sorry! I love him but he's too hyper for me), I don't think I have enough in common with either Tom or Michael to be friends with them, and I'd probably want to kick Arthur and Paul in the teeth :P

Which characters would you dislike the most if you met them? See above :))

Tell me about the process of coming up with your characters? Are we talking about OCs? For my female lead, mostly I try to go off from the canon character I'm pairing with her and see what traits/backstory would make them contrast and complement each other most effectively.

Do you notice any reoccurring themes/traits in your characters? Basically, all of my couples (except for Hellcheer) consist of a stoic, competent, no-nonsense woman and the pathetic man-child she takes under her wings. Also, most of my OFCs have dark hair and green eyes, I don't know why (they're not based on any real person, I just like that coloring I guess!)

How do you picture your characters? I usually don't, is that weird? Occasionally I would look for an actress or model whose appearance fits what I'm imagining for the character, but most of the time I don't bother.

What’s your reason for writing? I have stories in my head screaming to get out, I'm just obeying their voices :))

Is there any specific comment or type of comment from readers that you find particularly motivating? Any comment at all would be great at this point. But what I love the most are the comments that point out specific parts in my stories that I hope would make an impact, or pick up on Easter eggs (like the commenter who noticed that Edward and Christine's twins in the Hurstfield Hall series are named after Ozzy Osbourne and Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath!)

How do you want to be thought about by your readers? As long as they enjoy my stories, I'm happy.

What do you feel is your greatest strength as a writer? Angst, hurt/comfort, world-building.

Have you been told is your greatest strength as a writer is by others? Angst, I guess?

How do you feel about your own writing? I go back and forth between two extremes. Sometimes I'd reread my stuff and think, Damn, I wrote that? That's not half bad! And other times I cringe so hard at my own writing I almost fold in on myself.

If you were the last person on earth, would you still write? Sure, if there was still something to write with!

When you write, are you influenced by what others might enjoy reading, do you write purely for yourself, or is it a mix of both? I write for myself. If others happen to enjoy it, great! If not, I'm already happy with what I've written.

how do you analyze characters yourself and/or what resources (wikis or other stuff(?)) do u use to like,, figure out their inner workings and nail them down as like. this is this character in [canon universe], this is how they act, so then for you can go, okay. if they were in [au scenario] they would act like this.

also what guidelines do u set for yourself to keep the silly guys in character when ur writing them ,

u seem very knowledgeable about these things so i had to ask

I reread the source material, mainly, wikis tend to skim some details. I tend to treat characterization in a very ADHD conspiracy theorist way where I extrapolate and try to find links between small moments. WIkis are useful for gathering small moments I might have forgotten, which I need to do because ADHD conspiracy theories get out of hand VERY quickly and I need to control that impulse.

I've accidentally made the same tweet about it more than once so Minegishi & Shimazaki are probably good examples. A lot of people default to Shimazaki being a soulless child-beating asshole, but all of the people in Claw do that. What I find relevant:

He does this for fun, and hasn't really come across anyone who can stop him, making him complacent in how much powers are worth

He focuses very hard on Teru, the only psychic strong enough to fight him

He is the one who instigated Serizawa's hazing in the omake

He asks Minegishi to stop being mean to Serizawa when he commits to the bit too hard, it made him uncomfortable

When he sees Serizawa talk to Touchirou like he's the boss of a company, he's uncomfortable and weirded out

So what I get from this is that he has an inflated perspective of his status in the world due to his psychic powers, and enjoys flaunting that, but in social situations he's pretty mild and doesn't enjoy antagonism or misleading others.

AKA he probably would not beat the ass of a regular middle-schooler and maybe not even a psychic middle-schooler but if the middle-schooler has psychic powers AND wants to stop him he'd LOVE to beat their ass because it means winning in a duel using what he thinks makes him special, reinforcing his status, which ties in with the general theme of Claw. Somewhat of a foil to Teru and a reinforcement of Touchirou's perspective here.

When writing fics, my first instinct is to keep this web of factoids in mind and see if there's any other details that can slot in. For example, what if Shimazaki is uncomfortable with actively misleading others because he's blind and he's often had that done to him? Not like he has any trauma about it or anything, it just puts him off a little.

Blindness is a REALLY juicy factor to extrapolate from though. Like did he have the resources available for his disability? How much has he depended on his powers? He definitely seems like the kind of dude who gave up on schoolwork. I mean, why worry about work? Why worry about accommodations? He's hot and can fucking teleport. Stuff like that.

Meanwhile Minegishi

Has killed people. Has the only canon kill count in claw arc

is used as an example of a "bad person" for Mogami

Incredibly serious and grim among the group but joined in on Shimazaki hazing Serizawa and doubled down immediately

Minegishi turned over a new leaf just from being vouched for

Minegishi was angry with Touchirou for discarding Serizawa even though they knew Touchirou was ruthless

Afterward, they changed their mind about using plants as tools

According to the databook, Minegishi 19, so if they were in Claw when Serizawa joined they joined at 16

After re-integrating with normal life they express gratitude

The vibes I get from these details is that Minegishi is antisocial but likes feeling included, and Touchirou recruited them when they were very vulnerable. They could have benefited from a workplace with friendly coworkers but Suzuki wanted them to Kill. (Another strong reason for Mogami to single them out. first of all, helloOoOo!! so if you're here in my profile, you've probably read my fics about principal larissa weems, or even regina mills (and some other milfs/characters i forgot i wrote for), and y'know, i don't blame you for falling down in this rabbit hole.

my name is nina, short for aranina! it's not my real/legal name (of course) but i do like the name and i'm more comfortable going by it. my pronouns are she/they, but i use them interchangeably! i'm a filipino queer woman who likes to write about women for women (mostly).

now when i say i write about women, i definitely mean *about* women. most of my x-reader fics are written with y/n as a female at default or at least feminine in nature, hence why i use she/her pronouns, because i am more comfortable that way and that's just how i write. i'm not saying that i'm not open to writing using they/them since i've done it before, but until then, i'll need to get used to writing using the latter.

i also do tend to create original characters based on the fandoms i'm in (example: edith sinclair for wednesday, lilith morningstar for ahs, evonne irving for ouat and more that are on my ao3) so hehe.

the... idk what to call it. the non-phone guy steven au lives rent free in my head despite being pretty much unrelated to the timeloop au rn so have MANY fun facts for it + doodles + an actual map of the location below the cut

It's 1978 and Location 14 is in Ohio bc we all know how cursed Ohio can be.

Henry leaves after killing 3 kids and Steven. The whole first week is Steven being as annoying as possible to Henry and vice versa (and he gets employee of the month by default bc he succeeded in not killing a child).

Steven escapes becoming a phone because he wakes up mid-procedure and he has help from a certain shadow doggo (why? shrugs loudly. maybe it's a timeloop in some way after all lmfao ghdkjghjf).

Jack and Dave are there because again. loud shrugging. menaces to society ig. They suggest ways for Steven to sneak back into location 14 (including using blue paint and an illusion disk), though they think it's for revenge against Harry for almost turning him into a phone guy. Which it is, but also he wants to find Henry and stop him, too. Only Steven and Dave are on dayshift, Jack's the nightguard going by Jeremy Fitzgerald. Dave's mainly there to see the chaos unfold. Jack's there to help the kids have their happiest days.

Location 14 has been open for awhile at this point, and is one of the bigger locations. Harry is the phone guy here, and is VERY new, considering that he was springlocked here as well.

Steven doesn't use the springlock suits since he's a technician. The Fredbear one still needs to be repaired from Harry's springlock failure (sadly enough, Steven would be the one to repair it, unintentionally allowing Henry to use it to murder kids at the end of the week.)

Technically, Steven's scars aren't springlock scars. They look similar on the neck, arms, legs, and face, but the scars on his chest are so bad that it looks like there was a hole in his chest from Freddy's endoskeleton since the bear isn't a springlock suit. He literally couldn't move at all.

Matt works there. Again.

Dave does try to cause another MCI here, but is stopped when Jack suggests arson instead.

After Location 14 burns down, Harry is moved to location 47 (aka Colorado). He's there until Jake is brought in to replace him and then goes to Location 6, and then Location 32 after. Jake is the phone dealing with the bullshit of DSaF 1, in this case. (rip Jake, you're a real one, dealing with these 3 idiots all on dayshift)

Steven's phonification had been almost complete, just missing the head and a few systems. So he's missing all of his memories except for the most recent ones, namely the memories of his first week there (I know he works there longer in canon, but this isn't canon).

The animatronics at location 14 are the same as FNAF 1's main cast, with Fredbear and Spring Foxy as the springlock suits.

Henry kills Steven with Freddy instead of Spring Foxy because Freddy is front and center on the stage, and easier to stuff someone into.

During week 2, after he gets fired and then comes back anyways, Steven uses the name Fritz Smith.

Hello random blogger on Rotomblr! Welcome to the MPC’s unofficial account!

The MPC (Multiversal Pokemon Center) is a center located in Multispace (the space located in-between the universes in the multiverse) that specialises in rescuing pokemon (and sometimes other creatures!) that either get stuck in Multispace, or in universes that aren’t their own. We also perform research on the multiverse, to develop better ways to help our rescues.

If you have any questions about our center, feel free to type them in our ask box. We could get way more technical on the logistics of this, but would like to refrain on doing so in the introduction post.

Please note that this is by all means NOT an official MPC account. It is a personal account where we post about pretty much anything that happens in our lives.

Mysterious Camera: Hi there! Kalani here! I’m writing this part of the post for the camera because there’s no telling when they’re on or whether they would introduce themself. They don’t say much, and really just occasionally post recorded videos/photos of us up here. It’s honestly kind of creepy, but we can’t do anything about it right now. Despite his charismatic disposition, Dalmatian Jasper is a wimp and is scared of so much, particularly gem things, which he's very unfamiliar with.

Despite his literal position as a guardian of the Diamonds, Hematite is ALSO a wimp. At least towards human stuff.

Jas actually wandered off from his home in the Beta Kindergarten, which is why he knows hardly anything of the gems. For whatever reason, when he was formed he had no prior understanding of what he was meant to do or why, and with no one around anymore to ask, he - yes very much like amethyst - kinda just left

I didn't intend their story to be in or around the canon SU timeline (it's kinda just its own AU as it is) but if it had to connect, I guess both gems are Era 2, so this is all happening somewhere during the period of time before the Rose Quartz and Crystal Gems deal. (Let's not think about the fact that this means they might have been in the line of fire when earth gems were corrupted)

The only reason they met in the first place is because Hem got lost and his ship crashed in the middle of BFE, Earth, and Jasper was like heyyyyy-

In case you are wondering: both of them are...trans? I guess?? I mean all gems are female by default but Jas is like, kinda just vibing with being a he/him because the humans think he's that. As for Hem, well. The same applies, but only after meeting Jas and discovering the world around them, and himself.

Jaspilite is their most common form of...well, anything. It's a comfort to both of them, in a world so strange. Once they finally come to a point of figuring out they can fuse, they only very rarely find themselves apart.

Jaspilite doesn't go by Jas since that's Dalmatian Jasper's common nickname, and plus he doesn't have many people he knows well enough to give him nicknames. He's just, you know. Jaspilite. Ripped jeans and rock music.

Oh but make no mistake that he's very soft, too. That's kinda Hem's fault mainly. What can I say, they're softies. Jas is there to be their comforting hug.

The way that their gem locations are designed, the two are at either side of the same exact spot in the center of the torso, one in front and one in back. In a way, it's like Romeo and Juliet; you can't shatter one without shattering the other in the process.

Thinking abt ds swap au stuff again... Mostly abt kits but also some character stuff too. Anyways time to keep only talking abt the kit side of things, Charlie is Webber and generally functions similar at a glance, but is actually not quite as good at easily amassing spider armies at first. Mainly, there's a couple different tiers of loyalty a spider will offer, meaning that spiders lower down will follow her for shorter and those at the very bottom (aka moon and sea spiders) will need at least 2 pieces of meat to fully recruit. This is mostly because she's actually a cave spider, a spitter specifically. Spitter and shelled spiders will defend her if attacked by default though, even if she still needs to feed them for them to follow her. She also loses sanity during the day and gains sanity at night, and is generally more comfortable in the dark. She kind of has night vision too, but only after not being in contact with sunlight for a certain period of time, with it starting of weak but growing better overtime. During the long days of summer the sunlight will actually burn her eyes, adding extra time to that timer and causing extra damage and a lot of sanity loss. The bright side is that she's a pretty good character for cave basing given you're ready to commit to it, as even the briefest contact with the surface during daytime will reset her night vision. For the spit attack, I'm thinking itd still be a thing she can do but it costs a bit of hunger to do it, and the damage depends on what shes eaten last, for example doing more damage if she's eaten monster meat. Also, while she can't craft an equivalent to switcherdoodles, she does have other craftables like her own spider den to sleep in and protect her from the sun which can also be upgraded up to four tiers, with the last one upping the loyalty tier of all spiders except cave spiders by one. She can also craft smaller spider nests, and can accessories them to house different types of spiders, which dong house that many spiders but allows for them to respawn from there, lessening the need to go out and re collect different types of spiders. Basically, shes kind of like Webber and Wurt combined, and is built to do well in the caves but not require them.

Kasane Teto headcanon masterpost

Now that I have a tumblr I can finally unleash all the ridiculous amounts of info I have about my main teto interpretation!! I usually call her "trueform teto" but someone called her "beast teto" a few times and the nickname stuck.

Anyway: My teto's a shapeshifter. Her human form is identical to her default design, but her real form takes after the chimera from Greek myth but more humanoid. She's got lion paws with opposable thumbs and rounded lion ears, cloven goat hooves, horns, wings and a tail. She can partially transform to appear anywhere between these two forms, it's like a spectrum (often times she shifts to hide her wings because they're huge, 13 foot wingspan to be exact so they take up a lot of space) but she likes having her tail out as much as possible to express herself better.

Aside from taking on a human disguise, Teto's species is capable of flight and breathing fire. Fire breathing is moreso done as an intimidation display or to assert dominance, as their flames do not have a very far range and are moreso used as a way to signal for another to stand back.

Chimera are also obligate carnivores, but Teto likes to eat non-meat human food items anyway because it tastes good and then wonders why she gets stomach aches so often. 

Teto, as well as other chimera are capable of purring, as well as being able to growl, snarl and hiss like most big cats. Despite being able to take on a human disguise and blend in seamlessly in human society though, chimera are still instinct-driven and mimicking human behavior is a learned trait, they are very much monsters. Chimera can live for up to 100 years, but some particularly healthy ones can live up to 150. I originally had it that my teto was around 16 by human standards, but through the years I've kinda had her age with me. There are two types of chimera, venomous and nonvenomous, and they're physically identical except for their tails. Venomous chimera will have serpent tails, while nonvenomous ones will have harmless forked tails like Teto. Chimera venom is lethal to humans and small animals, but a human can survive a bite if they seek medical attention within 30-40 minutes of being bitten. All chimera are immune to their snake tail venom though, even the nonvenomous ones. If one parent is a venomous chimera and the other not, their child has a 50/50 chance of being either.

The snake tails on venomous chimera are not sentient, but are rather very intricate natural mimicry used to warn other animals to steer clear of the tail. It does shed similar to actual snakes though, but biologically it serves mainly more as a weapon than anything else.

Oh but there's more: Might as well introduce the other designs from this whole deal/au/whatever I want to call this thing

Kasane Ted- Teto's older brother. He was already a teenager when Teto was born, so he ended up raising her almost like a father than a brother. He's usually very aloof and grumpy, but fiercely protective of his little sister.

Sukone Tei- Teto's cousin. A little older than Teto, Tei was basically the rebellious older sister figure to Teto growing up. The two would often wrestle and playfight in the woods together as kids, and still enjoy wrestling each other from time to time.

Sidenote: Tei is not a yandere in this setting and doesn't know Len or any of the crypton folk. I specifically rewrote her so she’s not weird in this lmao she’s just teto’s slightly unhinged bad influence cousin

i just love the entire ray's sister concept, and i realy really really love how you didnt make her all naive and sheltered (esp during the smut) because i love the older brother's best friend au but people always make the reader so embarrassing HAHAHA so i really applaud how you made her confident and even snarky at times. no secondhand embarrassment in this fic!

also the reader's friendship with the other guys is YES 🙌

OKAY SEVERAL THINGS BECAUSE I COULD WRITE AN ENTIRE RANT ON THE MAKING OF THIS FIC

1. i adore these long messages. i appreciate you sm <3

2. she’s a fucking masterpiece. i consider myself to be relatively humble but kiss and tell is my magnum opus. i will never beat her and i don’t think i want to.

3. i love writing poetic shit. i love metaphors and imagery. i think my favorite lines are either the entirety of the religious guilt passage (mainly “the taste of unholy desire graced gerard’s tongue, wicked truths and sugar-coated lies having him believe that sin would swallow him whole.” for some reason my best writing is done at ~5:30pm. i love that part. i think about it a lot, actually.) or the five senses passage! (i cant pick favorites here honestly. taste and smell absolutely fuck though, i love those lines. smoke and earth?? tongue and teeth and hands where they’re not supposed to be?? shakespeare could never!)

4. i actually wrote that part with a single stream of consciousness at roughly 1am in my notes app! i also do my best writing in my notes app, and i can’t figure out why.

side note: hearing about people’s favorite parts and when they tell me that they laughed at my jokes is the best feeling ever. i love your asks and comments so so much.

5. yeah, it was a really great request! i forgot to mention in the author’s note and stuff that i changed it to step to be more inclusive, but it’s only mentioned in the beginning. i have a couple half siblings and i’ve always considered them full, so i didn’t make it too obvious throughout the rest of the fic.

going along with being ray’s sister, i wanted to give her a sense of edginess that wasn’t overbearing. i feel like ray gets babied in a lot of fics, and i genuinely hate it. rather than making him all innocent, i gave him the overprotective brother role, and even then, i tried not to make it suffocating. he’s worried about her mixing in with the wrong crowds because he’s an outcast himself. he doesn’t baby her either, and they have a similar dynamic to the ways’, except ray’s a little more protective.

6. i didn’t want her to be naive either! the last thing i wanted was to give myself second-hand embarrassment, much less my readers. just because she’s younger doesn’t mean she hasn’t done the same shit. i don’t really picture her as a virgin with a perfect liver and lungs. fics that make the younger sister all innocent make me uncomfortable tbh; it feels like infantilization, which is frankly, really gross.

7. making the reader witty is my favorite thing to do. i don’t know why readers are never written as confident and sarcastic, and instead defaulted to boring and naive. live a little, make your reader less insufferable!

(now that i’m thinking about it, my favorite part might actually be the banter towards the end—“honey, your brother is gonna kick my ass if i sleep with you.” “baby, you’ve already got one foot in the grave for kissing me, and i’d hate for you to die a virgin.” where did that come from??)

8. i really wanted to highlight the fact that she’s friends with all of them! she’s not the annoying little sister; she’s actually pretty cool. i used the mikey way effect, if you will. frank and the reader have this goofy relationship, similar to their relationship with gerard but very platonic. they’re the kind of friends that would fake an engagement for free dessert.

mikey and the reader are the same age, and both pretty quiet compared to the rest of the group. i didn’t touch too heavily on it, but they’re definitely the kind of friends that can read each other with one look. they lay on his bedroom floor in comfortable silence and listen to music just to escape loneliness. all in all, they’ll do pretty much anything together because they simply love being around the other.
