I feel like the problem with a lot of Disney's live action remakes (and arguably Wish) is they're trying to appeal to a crowd that no longer exists, namely the people who used to claim that the Disney Princesses were sexist.

All the interviews tend to include, "Well she's not chasing a MAN anymore" which...almost no one sees the princesses like that, anymore. Virtually NO ONE still believes the princesses are man-chasing sexist caricatures of women.

Cinderella is now hailed as an abuse victim who stayed strong long enough to get help to get out of her situation. Anyone who says she should have saved herself is basically regarded as a victim blamer. And it's very clear in the film she wasn't looking to marry the prince, she just wanted a night off. She was the only one who wasn't in line to meet him. She didn't find out she met the prince until he went looking for her!

Snow White is now hailed for her negotiation skills, ability to calm down after extreme stress (she had a moment of panic and had to cry for a bit, but who wouldn't after finding out The Queen hired someone to kill you?), and ability to take charge of a house of adult men. And again, she was an abuse victim, this time trying to escape ASSASSINATION ATTEMPTS. While she dreamed of her prince, it was secondary to her main goal of SURVIVAL. There are also entire video essays about how Snow White gave hope to people during The Great Depression.

Everyone acknowledges that Ariel wanted to be human BEFORE meeting Eric. We all know she was a nerd hyperfixating on humans, and also standing up to her prejudiced father.

We understand Sleeping Beauty wasn't the main character, the Three Good Fairies were, AND PHILLIP WOULD NEVER HAVE BEATEN MALEFICENT WITHOUT THEM! He literally depended on them! WOMEN SAVED THE DAY! But even then, is it really such a sin for a girl to fantasize about romance and fall for someone with corny pickup lines?

We all understand Jasmine just wanted someone to treat her LIKE A PERSON. She rejected every Prince before Aladdin because they treated her like a prize. So why did they need her to want to be Sultan? How did that make her more feminist when she already wanted to be treated like an equal and have a say in her future? Is it only empowering if you want a career in politics?

We admire that Belle, despite living in a judgemental village, was kind to everyone (even though she found the village life dull), and her story teaches girls that the guy everyone else loves isn't always a good guy. What's sexist about teaching girls about red flags? And she didn't start being nice to The Beast until he started treating her with respect and kindness.

Do I really NEED to defend Mulan or Tiana? I think they speak for themselves.

Rapunzel was yet another abuse victim who just needed a little help to get out of her bad situation. In this case, she also needed to learn that she was an abuse victim, and that what Mother Gothel did WASN'T normal, much like many victims of gaslighting.

And don't get me started on the non-princess animals.

Perdita had a healthy relationship with Pongo to the point she was open to express her pregnancy fears to him, and was ready to TEAR APART Cruella's goons for daring to touch her puppies as well as adopting the other puppies. Like, she was so ferocious the goons mistook her for a hyena! She's basically that "I AM THAT GIRL'S MOTHER!" scene from SpyXFamily if Yor were a dog. She and her husband were a TEAM.....but they made a Cruella live action to turn her into a girlboss?! The literal animal abuser!? THAT'S the woman you wanted to put on a pedestal when Perdita was RIGHT THERE!?

Duchess kept her kittens calm after they had been catnapped and was classy as heck. Nice to everyone regardless of social class during a time period where that was uncommon.

Lady stood up to Tramp when she believed he had abandoned her and didn't really care about her. She found out he was a heartbreaker and was like, "Nuh uh. No. You are not doing that to me! You put me through enough."

Miss Bianca from The Rescuers was IN CHARGE the whole movie, and was willing to risk life and limb to save an innocent child. THAT TINY MOUSE TOOK ON ALLIGATORS! And she picked Bernard to accompany her because he was the only one who wasn't ogling her. And then in the sequel SHE DID IT ALL AGAIN! I wish I were as brave as her.

Like, the public haven't accused these ladies of being sexist caricatures since 2014 (Actresses and actors don't count, they're out of touch like the rest of Hollywood) yet Disney is operating under the assumption that the public still thinks that way, hence all the "sHe'S nOt AfTeR a MaN iN ThIs VeRsIOn" talk.

The live action remakes are trying to attract an audience that doesn't really exist much, anymore, and back when it did exist, was comprised mainly of people who didn't actually watch the films. The Disney princesses are no longer seen as sexist, and feminine qualities are no longer seen as weak or undesirable.

You were proud to have earned the respect of Uliana and the VKs, you were one of the calmest and most collected, you thought before speaking, and you were quite different from Morgie, which made you a dynamic couple. You planned the pranks and he executed them, in short, that's how you fell in love.

It was a day like any other, you were sitting on Morgie's lap while he talked to his friends and planned his next group disaster, trying to include you and get your opinion. Maleficent, Hades, Hook and the two of you were taking a break from Uliana after she had turned into a flamingo, the whole scandal of her giving you a headache.

You played with your hands in his hair as you talked about how you could hide from getting caught when you heard two kids arguing as they approached you; a girl with long, straight hair wearing a sweater with drawings in the center next to a boy with short hair of the same color and style as her wearing a blue jacket over a white shirt.

"Speak you!"

“No, you speak!”

"Because I?"

“It was your idea, Red trusts you.” The girl frowned at him, who rolled his eyes in response and shyly approached you, being followed by the girl steps away.

“Um, Y/N?”

You looked away from your group of friends, looking at the kids (a year or two younger than you) with a raised eyebrow. Morgie placed his hands gently on your waist as he leaned in to see what was happening. 

“I'm Mason and this is my sister Harriet, we're new and we wanted to know if you could give us a tour of the school because we heard you're a prefect.”

You raised an eyebrow and looked the brothers up and down before giving a quick glance to Morgie for his opinion, who gave a casual shrug.

“Okay, but make it quick. Follow me.” You climbed off his lap, giving him a kiss on the forehead before beginning to lead the children.

It was much more awkward than they expected, Harriet was trying to ask you about your relationship quite directly while Mason tried to shut her up and ask about school to cover it up. At the end of the day the twins walked into Red and Chloe's room frustrated.

"How did it go?" The one with blue hair asked.

"A disaster."

“I'm sure he hates us.”

“Whoa, what happened?”

“It seems like he hates children.”

“No matter what we do, we don't know what happened to make them break up!”

“We cannot prevent an event that we do not know about.” Her brother concluded.

“What is your parents' relationship like now?” Chloe asked carefully.

The twins turned to look before Mason let out a sigh. “We grew up in Auradon, we don't know much about Morgie because Y/N…”

“He never tells us anything about him.” Harriet continued. "It's not…" “A good father, neither of them.”

“We also want to get along with our parents.”

Red suddenly jumped out of his bed, having an idea. "I just thought of something! Do you know the reason for your separation?”

“Father always mentions betrayal, but he has denied many times that it is infidelity.”

“Do you remember the story of the chains?”

“Do you think that's it?” He turned to see his sister.

“Wait, what chain story?”

“Father told us of a ‘legend’ of a man who was tied underwater with chains by his lover to ‘protect’ him from worse harm.”

“We never really gave it any importance, but what if that 'worst damage' that he told us so much about was the barrier?”

“Has Y/N misinterpreted Morgie's act?” The redhead asked.

“No, he must have pretended that he felt hatred! Their separation was not for lack of love!” The younger sister let out an excited squeal.

“That does not mean that it is still difficult to avoid their separation, it was not in adolescence.”

“Wait, Mason, I have an idea!” His sister screamed again, grabbing him by the shoulders.

Morgie laid his head on your lap like he was a dog seeking attention, watching you read your book of sorcery and trying to memorize as much as possible.

“Are you going to go to class?”

“No.”

“Then put the book down and pay attention to me. I’m definitely more interesting than an old book.”

You put the book down with a sigh, setting it aside on the grass where you were sitting. They were both under a tree skipping classes; Maleficent and Hades were somewhere together while Uliana and Hook are probably strutting around looking for a victim.

“Morgie, you know I need to perfect my spells…”

He took your now free hand and placed it in his hair as a sign of wanting affection. “You are already very good at magic.”

“I'll use you as a lab rat.”

He swallowed, even though he knew it was an exaggeration. A cheeky smile traced his lips. “If I can stay by your side longer, I would be delighted.”

You rolled your eyes, unable to hide your smile. "It's ok, you win. We should do something more fun.”

“How about bothering Maleficent and Hades?”

“You're like a little child.”

“I appreciate it.”

You ruffled his hair. “Accompany me to leave the book in my locker and you have me at your complete disposal.”

They both got up, linked their hands and walked through the school hallways.

“Do you really use your locker?”

“Only for books that really serve as jokes, you don't?”

“It's like a warehouse for the gifts you give me.” He gave your hand a squeeze, a gesture that made you look away with a blushing smile.

You opened your locker, which had several magic books as you had said, what stood out the most were the photographs of you and Morgie stuck on the walls, along with some roses or letters that he sent you between classes. On top of your usual pile of books you found a letter that didn't look like the ones Morgie gave you.

Hi little robins, this is pt.2 of "What do ikevil suitors smell like?". I've included the three new babies villains, the Vogel boys. Eventhough we don't know much about them, I couldn't resist including them here, because I already love those sillies. Soooo, enjoy, my dears!!! A melancholic, porcelain-doll-looking nobleman. Our Ethereal Prince. My Greedy Boy. As beautiful as a work of art. He has a little maniacal obsession with collecting the most beautiful things in the world, just for himself, that's why he has so many perfumes, he can't decide which one he likes the most, so he keeps buying new fragrances. "I want. I want. I want… If only I could find it, then surely..." Love, let me hold your hand while telling you this: you are the mot beautiful thing in the world. His ocean-blue eyes and long, fluttering lashes hold such a sorrowful gaze. If it weren't because of his curse, he could perfectly be part of ikemen prince, you can't change my mind. I love Elbie, and I can't wait to play his route over and over again. He reminds me of a rain-soaked garden with a gazebo full of roses in the middle. He reminds me of a nostalgic walk along a solitary beach at dusk. He reminds me of a magical forest bathed in silver moonlight. He definitely smells clean, soft, and ethereal, with perhaps some citrusy notes blended with salty-marine hints that reflect his love for beach walks.

You see? He has a heart, allegedly. Anyways, we're here to talk about scents, aren't we? I feel like he smells like tobacco and liqueur, I'm 100% sure. And, I don't know why, I can sense some kind of smell that reminds me of sylvester bushes and a really old library, full of dust. Of course, we can't forget that he has money *cough, cough, Silvio, cough*, so he also needs a really expensive scent. He probably doesn't have a favourite perfume, because he slays at layering them and creating new scents that combine with his radiant and bubbly personality.

The little sunshine oddball filled with happiness and joy. Crown's youngest member and Jude's assistant (I don't even know what to think anymore, poor Ellis or poor Jude?). Anyways, as the mentally ill person that I am, I'll patiently wait for his route release. Back to the scents, he loves crispy baguettes and raspberry jam. I feel like he smells like a twisted picnic in a forest at dusk, with pink roses, fresh bread and berries. Clean, but with earthy and woody hints. Since he is such a people pleaser, he doesn't have a favourite perfume, he's just going to wear whatever you like the most, even if it's nothing, even if it's gasoline.

The so called Untrustworthy Cruel Angel, or what I prefer, Chevalier and Gilbert's love child. He truly looks as beautiful and ethereal as an angel, but so did Lucifer, and he ended up ruling Hell, so... we'll have to wait to see him in action... According to Victor in his Vicpedia "Is he an angel or a devil? You’ll have to find out for yourself." “Hello cursed people and everyone else. Won’t you join me in building a wonderful world?” Vlad, is that you? The angelic head of the German empire’s direct organisation, “Vogel”. Referencing Victor on his Vicpedia, "Though he looks like an angel, there’s a strong scent of evil coming from him." So, translated to scents, what does that exactly smells like? Based on what we know, which is not much, if not nothing, I will say that his scent matches his appearance, so maybe a really light, soft, airy and beautiful opening, with white flowers and white musk, very angelic-like, with a "punch" of something much more obscure beneath the surface, maybe some spices, sweet liqueurs and dark woods. All that in a winter-like scenery, very cold, like a breath on top of a glacier.

Just like Jude is the villanous version of Silvio from ikeprince, I feel like Nica is Nokto's doppelganger in ikevillains. A frivolous and cunning person who plays with love. He gives me foxy vibes, but in a darker and colder way. He's referred to as "Vogel’s brain" and seems to have a knack for manipulation and has an eye for money and power. “Guten Tag, cute robin. I want you to be my toy", yep, we have yet another fox. He's a bookworm, but, apparently, is just so he can gain more and more knowledge so he can play with you all. In the official information given directly by Cybird, it says that Nica resents shows of affection, but he still plays with you like a toy. Doesn't that sounds like he's desperate for someone loving him? "He resents love because he has never been given some." Again, this are just assumptions based on what we know and the vibes that I get from him. In conclusion, beneath that foxy-like appearance, I feel like he may have a huge heart of gold that he is too afraid to share. If I had to translate that vibe into a scent, it would probably be something seductive but fresh and sweet at the same time, something more "wild" like a fox playing in a field, but with a cooler vibe, maybe between winter and spring.

The love of my life pt. I already lost the count. The cute Vogel's guard dog. Dariu's puppet and Licht's doppelganger.  "This younger twin suffers from blushing easily" Victor please stop, I can't take it anymore. “If you don’t want your life to be taken, don’t get in the way of us, Vogel.” Okay cute puppy, whatever you say. From what we know, Ring seems cold when you first approach him, but he will be on his knees at the minimum show of affection towards him. So, if you play with his heart, you'll not only have Nica going for you, I'll be there too. Based on the information that Cybird has given us, he seems to be shy and cold, since one of his hobbies is "being in the corner of a room", still, it's not like he is an antisocial, we can guess that because the thing that he resents the most is "eating alone". The other hobby that he has is "taking a nap while looking at the sky" this tells me that he prefers quiet places where he can feel at peace, and somehow it also gives me the vibes of a dreamer, since "looking at the sky" is kind of poetic and it can symbolise freedom, if you know what I mean. In his skills he mixes two aspects that seem quite radical, combat skills and martial arts, along with a really good relationship with animals and an understanding of plants and flowers. When I say radical, in this case, I mean it's that one thing is "agressive" and "tough" while the other is so much more "soft" and "light energy". That aspect of dichotomy or duality is the most important characteristic of Ring, and it needs to be reflected on his scent.

You've probably noticed that the ikevil version of these series is pretty much less humorous than the ikeprince version. I think it is mainly because, eventhough both games characters are so well written and have a lot of traumas and issues, I still think that Ikemen Villains is the darkest one, and so, the one with less humorous content. And also, I tried to understand each character, that's why the character's descriptions are so long, sorry for that hehe. Anyways, thanks for your attention and love!!! Hello all two of you who are fans of my Overblot fan-designs for Twisted Wonderland

I made a Silver

You know the drill, me talking about design inspo + lineart and alts under the cut

(Yes I hc Silver with Silver eyelashes so the eyelashes are colored on the lineart layer) ^Lineart

I had the random idea of making an alt where the blot on the face was white/silver (badumtish) because Silver’s one of the characters that use light magic instead of void magic, but that’s kinda hard to see with the skin color so Anyways I based my OB!Silver on a mixture of prince Philip’s sword, Riku from Kingdom Hearts, and the spindle that put Aurora/Sleeping Beauty to. Well. Sleep.

The sword inspiration is also why I color picked from Malleus’ Overblot for the skin color, to make Silver look more like a sword, sounds weird but yeah I did actually attempt that with the posing as well

As for the Riku from Kingdom Hearts inspiration, I meant I took inspiration from the Replica, Dark mode, and Dark coat versions Specifically

I mean. I could base it on Riku in general rather then a version but I honestly think it’d be hilarious to twist a TWST oc out of Riku so you could have them and Silver spiderman pointing at each other

(The tap-dancing rodent appears in Kingdom Hearts so yeah technically you should be allowed to make twists of Kingdom Hearts characters for your ocs or even making background NPCs detailed, I know I’m making a Twist oc that’s Twisted from Axel-)

However my initial plan was actually going to base OB!Silver off of knights (based on the sword), the spindle, and Aurora herself

I actually almost finished the lineart when Riku was knocking at my mind with a Rook style “Bonjour.” reminding me of his existence because when I was looking at the Twisted Wiki earlier to educate myself on Silver’s story

(…I’m only on book 4 okay I just know Silver was adopted by Lilia and is randomly going snork mimimi) and saw a comment mentioning Riku

I didn’t think to use Riku as inspiration until I had Silver’s hair on there-

So yeah this first idea right here

It was scrapped, the only thing that stayed as you can see is the thorns on his limbs

(If you wanna know what the colors where gonna be, it was gonna be have dull pink half dull blue)

And also the spindle wheel with thread like puppet strings, but I didn’t even draw that yet before the outfit overhaul

Speaking of that, it wasn’t really supposed to mean anything, I just thought it’d look neat, but I guess you could spin it to be a representation of Maleficents sleeping curse and the fact he just passes out a lot

Anyways all I have to say about his face blot is I kinda tried to make a mask design based on Riku’s mystery blindfolded man design because Eh the Overblot Silver is inspired by Riku anyways

Opinions on King Magnifico and headcanons if you've got any? You always have my favourite Disney Villain takes, so I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the newest addition to the roster!

I FUCKING LOVE KING MAGNIFICO And, no, this is isn't just, "Oh, I really like this guy, and it's fun to see Disney doing a bona fide villain again." No. I FUCKING LOVE THIS MAN And I am NOT gonna be normal about him either XD

And thank you! I do have a few headcanons to share about him:

His spellbook of dark magic used to belong to Maleficent. It is quite literally a book of Unseelie spells with her magic within its pages, reflected by the dragon on the cover and the shadowy shape in the pages and the green coloring and the staff. She didn't give it to him, but in collecting magical texts and artifacts from across the lands, he came across this tome that she sent out into the world to wreak chaos.

He 100% hunted down the bandits who killed his family and murdered them with his magic. I know that one's kind of implied, but I definitely think that's what happened and watching himself go so unrestrained with his wrath and darkness if why he locked away the dark magic spellbook to sort of temper his dark impulses.

I don't think he ever really loved his wife, Queen Amaya. I think he loved that she believed in him and looked good on his arm, but I don't think he had any genuine love for her. He's too much of a narcissist, and tbh I think he's got a bit too much of that classic Disney Villain cunty-ness to him to qualify as a hetero XD

The ending implies that Magnifico becomes the spirit in Grimhilde's mirror. I don't necessarily think that gels with Snow White or my headcanons for Grimhilde, but there's definitely a connection between him and the spirit of the mirror. The realm that he was trapped in was definitely "the farthest space" that Grimhilde summons the mirror from, and perhaps he's a soul who replaces the spirit in the mirror when it manages to escape its confines. I don't know yet what I think for this on, but every option is interesting!

Magnifico isn't his real name. He chose it for himself because it sounded more grand and dramatic, befitting of a king. His actual name is much more mundane and feels too tied to his family's deaths for him to continue using it. Plus, hey, as an added bonus, going by a different name protects him from any fairies taking control of him and wresting away control of the kingdom. THAT would put a damper on his desires to be the only source of magic in the kingdom, after all.

I'll keep thinking on more because this is just my day one ideas! There might be more as I go along! :D

Thoughts on The Rise of Red

Okay, these are just my thoughts that I wrote down in my note app as I watched the movie.

SPOILERS if you haven't watched "Descendants: The Rise of Red" yet:

Uma crying talking about Carlos is definitely China crying for real. It’s definitely a plot inconsistency because as far as we know Uma and Carlos didn’t have any type of relationship outside of Mal but for China and the audience, I thought it was a touching nod to Cam.

Maybe it’s just me but I feel like over the past three movies we had gotten better with the wig situations and this movie felt like a bit of a step back for some of these wigs

The special effects in Red’s first song were pretty neat for a DCOM-adjacent movie 

Maddox is kinda cute…This man is 44!?!?! 😍

Paolo Montalbano 😍 My first crush! Honestly he and Brandy and China are the only reason why I’m watching this.

Still not a total fan of Cinderella’s dress. It’s giving royal moo-moo 

Brandy and Paolo are still cute together. Like not even in a romantic way but they are definitely co-actors that have great chemistry on screen together. Like it feels like they slipped back into their characters effortless.

I’m sorry Brandy but those shoes are ugly

OMG! Chad is their son!!! They really was like, the Prince Charming had a White dad and a Black mom so of course he and Cindy can have a White son 🤣

Is it me or are there already more songs in this movie than the previous? 

Maybe it’s because it’s the only second song but I definitely expected that they would have given Rita and Brandy more to work with

I know Dylan and Thomas probably have grown out of working with Disney but I at least wish they gave a throw away line about where Harry and Gil are. Like we know at least where Mal and the others are and that Carlos apparently died. Idk, the lack of Harry’s line in Uma’s song made me miss them.

You know, for all of the fuss they made about the magic wand, the fact that the Queen of Hearts can easily cut it in half is funny to me

Is this Aladdin and Jasmin they keep cutting back to? I didn’t keep up with the movie production before it came out so maybe them being in this movie shouldn’t be surprising 

“Now make me proud, for once,” is such a hard comment to hear from a parent.

Okay so I think there’s three wigs that Chloe has had, a regular, a slightly more volumized one, and then what my friend calls the “chia pet” one 😅

I’m glad the Queen of Hearts is nice and all but there should definitely be a fanfic about how Red is trying to distinguish her old reality with her new. And no, it won’t be from me. I wipe my hands clean of this series. I mean it! I’m so serious! I totally don’t have any plot bunnies in my head now! Nope! None. At. All!

Wait! Uma! Are you implying there’s going to be some - GASPS- ramifications to the time traveling!?!?!?

Final thoughts:

Maybe it’s because I’m OFFICIALLY not part of the target demographic anymore but I kind of felt underwhelmed. Like the last three movies had things I wasn’t a fan of but there were at least songs, aspects, characters, that I was a fan of. Honestly, the only person I LOVED in this one was Maddox. If you liked this movie, that’s totally fine and I hope my thoughts don’t stop you from enjoying it. I hope you have all the head cannons and fanfic ideas and amazing energizing conversations with others in the fan. If they come up with more stuff with this series (which they probably will) I might tune in but I think this, plus that Pt.2 outline of WLTF that I still owe folks will probably be my last active contribution to this particular fandom. 

Anyway, my faves of Descendants: The Rise of Red:

Uma, even if she was just serving the purpose of narrator/handing the torch from one generation to the next

The nod to Cameron

Brandy and Paolo. I LOVE them on screen together.

I actually really liked Ella and hope to see the actress, Morgan Dudley in more things

Maddox was cute but I honestly always seem to have a thing for movie/TV mad hatters (points to OUAT and the SyFy mini series Alice) 

Things I’m “eh” about:

The WIGS!!!! And the costumes but the WIGS!!! Like, if this series continues they need to fix stat!

The songs were kinda forgettable. Uliana’s song at her hideout was kinda a bop and Red’s intro song is good too but everything else was kinda “bleh”

I also feel like we didn’t really get to know Red that well or maybe I was just too distracted by Chloe’s wig.

The plot and pacing. I mean, the OG Descendants movies weren’t perfect but I feel like they typically hit certain plot beats where, as much as you can with these type of movies, it feels like the stakes are high. I guess Merlin’s office being the scene of the last “battle” and then going back to their time just felt a little anti-climatic for me.

But anywho, those are my thoughts. If you don’t agree, that’s fine, just be polite, okay?

Since death knows all the great seven and more, she definitely had some distain for some. Like Hades and Frollo

Certainly. Death saw them during their time when their perspective on life and their purpose began to change. So not long after when Death befriended the Epel's many many great Grandmother/ancestor. During this time, Death actually slowed down and began looking at the mortals and their lives. they saw many goods, but also terrible mortals.

Let's start with Hades. And Let's get the hierarchy clear. At the tippy top are Time and Space, and under them are Life and Death, and under them are the lesser gods. The lesser gods are any higher beings that were created by Life and Not Time or Space.

Hades is one of the underworld Gods that did not betray Y/n Death. And their partnership ended on a bittersweet note.

The Evil Queen- She was the first Mortal she ever started observing and was not happy. Death indeed thought the queen was beautiful when she was faced with a potential rival. She sought to snuff out the life of the innocent who could care less about the queen's vanity compaction. Y/n thought her death was well deserved, dying as an ugly old hag.

The Queen of Hearts- She was crazy, Death simply saw a tyrant, who used her temper tantrum to scare the obedience of her citizens. So Y/n may or may not have used their pendant to pretend to be human and start an uprising. Witch leads to the queen being beheaded herself. After that Death Left the white queen in charge.

Jafar- Death simply thought he was a man, who wanted to be heard. But that's where their mercy ends, As he did bring harm to good people. And tried to force a girl to love him with magic. But he is now a genie, so they had to wait a really long time to collect his soul.

Scar- (In this Au, the whole lion king characters are human beastman) Death saw him as a spoiled second prince, who knew nothing about running a kingdom. But he had good leadership skills and was very clever. He could have been a great general, or caption of the Royal guard.

Instead, he killed his brother, attempted to kill his nephew, and almost drove his kingdom to starvation.

The Sea Witch- Death knew she was a deal maker who targets those who are at their lowest, or in a desperate mindset. And made unfair wages on her victims. So death was more than happy to collect her soul when she tried to murder the two lovers. And death used her magic to undo the curse of all the victims of Ursula when she perished.

Maleficent- She is the only one of the Seven, as a mortal, meets death. And even mock them to their face. For she believed that she was so powerful that she could live forever. Since she compared her life span to humans, she thought herself immortal. And after spitting in Death's face, this did many things for her ego.

So much so that she gets offended when she's not invited to a random baby's birthday. And curse death upon said baby. So Y/n was happy to watch the fear in maleficent eyes as they came to collect them.

"And that is my experience on the great seven," Death said, as the Dorm leaders sat around their meeting table.

All of them stare at death with wide eyes and disbelief.

"You started a rebellion?!" Riddle gasped.

Something I really like in the House of Mouse AU is that the OG sidekicks have really taken a shine to their twisted counterparts

Like the Queen of Hearts’ card soldiers treating the twst!card soldiers as little brothers

The Cheshire Cat treating Che’nya as though they’ve been best friends for life

Shenzi, Banzai and Ed adopting Ruggie into their cackle

Flotsam and Jetsam just absolutely loving Floyd and Jade

Aladdin’s carpet enjoys playing with Kalim’s carpet

Queen Grimhilde’s crow likes to hang around with Epel sometimes (I know Epel represents the apple but technically the crow was there when the poisoned apple was made so technically it counts)

Humbert the Huntsman is too terrified of Rook to say anything so he just sits there in traumatised silence

The OG seven dwarfs being grandpas to the twst!seven dwarfs

Maleficent’s goblin minions having a blast whenever they see Sebek (again I know that he’s Maleficent’s lightning but they get zapped with lightning so it works)

It’s nice and cute watching the villains grow soft for Yuu and their twisted selves but these henchmen have their own counterparts as well that their protective of

The villains are rooting for their boys, but the sidekicks are going "One of us! One of us!" :D

I like to think Lucius and Lucifer are just napping together somewhere. Like they found a nice to curl up in and are just chilling.

I feel like Humbert the Hunstman is just really awkward, ya know? He didn't want to kill Snow White, he let her go, he doesn't know why he's here counting as a henchman. He figured Rook was a nice enough guy, but also he says some off putting things and this man is scared. He just wants to home tbh.

Sebek is trying, key word there is trying, to bring some order to Maleficents goblin henchmen. But after learning that babies do grow after sixteen years, they still horribly misunderstood and are under the impression that Sebek is a big baby wanting to be a grown up. So his attempts to bring order are met with "Aww! Look at him! He's trying to be a big boy now!"

Also you know the episode where Pinocchio starts hanging out with Pain and Panic and they're being a bad influence on him? That. But with Ortho. They like him, don't get me wrong, but they also want him to loosen up and have, what they think, is a good time.

Watching Disney's "Wish"--No idea what to expect but mostly here for Chris Pine. Pray for me.

-Old school storybook opening sequence which is clearly meant to be evocative of Snow White, Pinocchio, etc. But it's very hard to play it straight in a Post-Shrek world.

-Jesus the world's most painfully expositional dialogue.

-Oh god the body language and the timing of the expressions... Disney has only had one (1) Heroine Concept since they popped out Moana and none of them have been as compelling as Moana.

-Rosas has Duloc vibes. Disney really did not consider the post-Shrek implications of this writing and worldbuilding.

-TANGLED REFERENCE.

-Oh god the Seven Dwarf Besties. Like... to what end??? Who is this for??? This is too many characters for one scene??? If they aren't in the title maybe don't dump 7 on your main character???

-Every time I hear that the Queen and King were originally written to be a villain power couple I'm soooo depressed at looking at this queen. I do like this character design.

-CHRIS PINE THIS IS WHAT I'M HERE FOR.

-ANIMATION REFERNCE.

-Aw hell yeah that's actually a damn good villain turnaround.

-Goddammit yeah again making the Queen ignorant of the whole evil king thing is sooooo disappointing and boring compared to the concept arts.

-Eyvind Earle inspired backgrounds are pretty good.

-This is a really creative concept with very interesting worldbuilding implications but goddamn Disney is just falling so hard back on what it thinks is fun and poppy and marketable and also the music is being pulled in like 5 different directions.

-Why is there a raccoon in the Mediterranean.

-Snow White Wishing Well reference.

-GOD the 'Well that just happened' dialogue.

-Is that a fucking Luma from Super Mario Galaxy.

-Bro the music in this is SO ALL OVER THE PLACE. IT'S PAINFUL. Chris Pine's villain song was just upbeat pop. Like practically Hanson. And then there's a song that's just.. literal straight up political revolution played completely straight.

-Saba's gonna fuckin die.

-You can tell Chris Pine is having so much fun being a campy charismatic villain he deserves such a better song than the one he got.

-Maleficent ass magic effects.

-Man the movie did *not* set up the tone shift sufficiently.

-I think this is the first Disney Princess to start, like, a full-on coup.

-This movie is like 80% visual references to previous Disney Films--JESUS ENDING WITH THE MICKEY MOUSE EARS FIREWORKS AND A WINK.

-like... I get that it's Disney's 100th anniversary but it's also like... you could have made a short celebrating that and let this like.. be an actual movie.
