Ok, people I have noticed this! There is a user/bot named stevensmith349 and they take posts from other people (memes, thoughts, news) from trending tags and have links at the bottom leading to dangerous sites.

It has only started in December and from looking at their archive they have hundreds of posts. You can go check it out on your own. Here is the real post versus the fake post.

It is the same exact post taken from the top post page for wwdits.

WARNING. Malware tried to sneak into my PC when I tried to download the old TS3 lot.

I don't want your PCs to be infected! 2) I don't blame original creator for this situation. Their tumblr blog has no new posts since 2016 and I don't know what happened to original links since that times. Their old site could expire and be taken by someone else.

So what happened:

I tried to download the Mermaids Den diving log from sanjanasims blog and clicked the link to their side-blog given in the post.

2. I was redirected to side-blog but link quickly changed and I was redirected to other site with short name starting with 'y'.

3. Very fucking interesting captcha appeared. And asked me to run command line with some inserted shit. Certainly, I didn't do that because what the fuck.

4. In the same time some unknown archive was automatically (no confirmation from my side) downloaded to my PC.

5. I have no idea what was in this damn archive because I deleted it and started scanning my PC immediately. But please be careful - links to old CC may lead to things you absolutely do not expect.

Hey everyone, something a little different from the usual stuff I post, but last week my project group at university finished our semester project, which also means that (aside our thesis and exam) we're almost finished with our bachelor's degree.

Over the last ~3 months we've been working on a small video game and it would mean the world to us if more people would check it out and maybe even give feedback. It's available for Windows and Mac, also it's free :)

I was mainly responsible for everything graphics-related and worked on concept art, 2D and 3D assets (models, textures etc.) and some VFX, but since we were a team of just 6 people everyone helped out where they could, so I also contributed to the coding and audio in parts. It was a lot of work, but it's also been a very fun experience and we're proud of our achievements. In the coming week we're going to present our project at an exhibition at our university, but we already wanted to make it available for playing before :3
