toji sighs at the vomit dripping down his shirt. of course, baby megumi felt the need to throw up as soon as he was handed to his father by you. you laugh, taking the also giggling megumi from toji. "Why does this always happen to me?" toji grumbles, walking to your room to clean himself up. your nine-month old wiggles in your hands, and you coo at him. "papa's so yucky isn't he?" megumi waves his chubby hands around—you take it as an agreement. "uh-huh, he's icky." "i can hear you!" toji barks from your room.

raising a baby is not easy, but with toji and megumi, it's fun. Not always fun—there's always hiccups and difficulties—but you're happy. like right now... as toji comes out in a new shirt, huffing and pouting. megumi always causes issues when it comes to him, but never you. megumi just adores his other parent. toji doesn't even know how a nine-month old baby could have a preference, considering he's trying his best to keep any burden off of you.

"i'm not gross," toji pouts, sitting back down on the carpet, a few feet in front of you. megumi squirms, and you set him down on the ground, facing his father. he manages to sit up, reaching out to toji with grabby hands. "oh, now you want to like me, huh? you little brat." toji leans forward to grab megumi's tiny little hands, waving them around and responding to his babbles.

your heart warms—it's just too cute. when you'd first met your husband, he was a homeless, gruff and closed-off man. it's hard to think the two are the same person. you really didn't do much—just gave him enough love for him to try. you're glad.

"why're ya looking at me like that?" toji asks. you leaned against the counter, watching as your husband did the dishes after dinner. he had always insisted to clean while living with you, even if that meant he spent hours doing so. megumi knocked right out after you fed him, putting him to bed. "you're a sexy dad," you snort. toji seems a bit taken off guard. your smile widens as his ears turn red. "are you saying i wasn't sexy before?" "pah. big baby." "your big baby." "and a sap." toji chuckles, looking back down at the half-washed dishes. you watch him the whole time—his strong, calloused hands lathered in soap and water, moving in circular motions. and his arms— "you think megumi would like a little sibling?" toji chokes.

Little Danny's Big Adventure

New idea.

Okay now hear me out.

-Pulls out AU idea cauldron and tosses stuff into it-

Let's put in some Ghost King/Prince Danny.... But also some deaged to toddlerhood Danny that gets yeeted into the DCverse!

Like imagine, tiny baby Danny with his tiny crown of ice floating above his head and his galaxy cape wrapped around him and uses it like a baby blanket. He didn't mean to fall into a different universe, a natural portal opened up and he was being a curious little thing! He didn't mean to trip and fall in during his nap time.

Nor was he expecting to fall into this realm during a rogue attack and knock out said rogue cause they were being a meanie and harming people and now Danny just wants his nap time cause he spent a lot of his tiny engery and he wants to find a nice spot.

Danny finds a place to crash, snuggling himself into his cape and the astronaut bear Danielle got him during her last visit that he takes everywhere since.

He's out like a light as the door to this safe house that belongs to one of the Bats opens up.

Meanwhile. In the Infinite Realms, Queen Regent Jazz is going into Mama Bear Jazz Mode trying to find her deaged brother, keeping the Realms in check, and is resisting the urge to put CW in time out Soup Time because he's being cyptided again about Danny whereabouts!!! UGH!

They butchered Alicent so bad

oh i LOVED her this episode. some of the execution was a little clunky in places but moving the blood and cheese “pick which of your kids are dying” moment to be a conversation between rhaenyra and alicent was sooo fucking choice in a way i really found compelling.

like aegon this episode, alicent has been realizing she doesn’t know what the fucking point of all of this has been. again like aegon because they were raised in a deeply ableist society she cannot conceive of aegon where he isn’t the king she cannot wrap her head around what he’s supposed to be now all of the suffering she bore to get him to this point was for nothing. aemond is acting scary and out of control to the extent that he is an active threat to her and her other children she does not know him anymore.

she gets out loud explicitly asked by rhaenyra to resolve the dilemma that has been her entire character: she either has to choose her children or her relationship with rhaenyra. otto has been drilling this into alicent’s head since she was a child, alicent has been drilling it into her children’s heads since THEY were children. rhaenyra was the only one who pretended that wouldn’t be a choice forced on alicent! so then rhaenyra is the one to demand this of her it’s CRAZY. and alicent, who has been trapped for almost her whole life who has done everything expected of her and has been left with what? so much blood on her hands, everyone hates her, no one listens to her,and the children that she had to bear the conception and raising of against her will are unrecognizable to her. this war is transactional and will not stop until everyone is dead.

and alicent does something fundamentally selfish and cut them loose in the name of all of this just being over. she wants to be a person again. she can’t tell the difference between being her own and being rhaenyra’s those are the same to her. and then she steps out to look at the wide open sky, out of her cage for the first time ever while rhaenyra settles deeper into hers. that’s so interesting. 

the consequence being that she never had control of the narrative! but she’s still punished for this in how this story is told. she’s largely written into the background of the historical record and when she’s there she’s a caricature of a cold ambitious stepmother-queen. they’re trying really hard to reckon with the historical record as history is happening.

overall, I think I can understand why people are upset about this, but I loved it. I thought it was really compelling and there could’ve been a bit more buildup to that moment for her but I don’t think it’s that far out from her previous characterization at all.
