Hello!! Thank you so so much for being my first matchup! For me, I decide characters based off who is most similar to you, then reversing the role and going for the exact opposite + making sure that it matches your personality based on the information I’ve been given. Also, thank you so much for basically matching the exact format I was looking for in a matchup <3

So, with that, I matched you with Rin Itoshi!

What did it for me, was the second part you sent in where you described yourself as ‘childish when you want to be, and that it’s terribly easy to make you smile or laugh’. I feel like Rin is easily misconstrued as a rude and unlikable person, but he wasn’t always like that; and I like to think that once he gets over this whole rivalry, he’ll most likely soften up again.

I think you and Rin would definitely bond over these types of things. The two of you would suggest things to each other and watch them in your spare time, or together. You’d tell him about a new film of sorts that is coming out, and he’ll tell you he somehow already has free  tickets to go see it. He comes off as the sort of person who doesn’t really care much for others, but still puts effort into the things he notices you enjoy.

Adding a colour that best represents you was super useful, as I think people can easily be matched to colours based off their personalities, and in this case, I think Rin would also be matched to the same kind of colour. This kind of colour can signify clarity, and open expression of your feelings. Although you and Rin may come off as guarded, I think he’d see parts of himself in someone like you, and it may help him strive for a change. Funnily enough it’s kind of poetic.

Your old-type interests and reserved nature (correct me if I’m wrong) would add to the maturity in a person that I personally think Rin likes to see. You two would really get along as your personalities don’t clash but are not the exact same in that regard. Rin would tell you about his worries and vent to you about things that he wouldn’t feel comfortable telling anyone else. In terms of a school setting, the two of you would walk to and home from school, stopping on the way to sit at a café and work on homework, or at a mini shop selling pricey stationery trinkets, books, pens, markers, journals and the like. Just as I think he would vent to you; he’d also be there for your little analyses sessions. He’d maybe even agree with some of the things you say and tell you not to worry about bothering him with your talks. He’d listen to you speak and nod or murmur in agreeance here or there, opting to stay silent and only listen to you speak over talking himself.

Rin would value you as a reliable person who’s feelings he could never bring himself to hurt. Even if he’s cold at times, and seemingly wouldn’t want to talk to anybody at all, he keeps it at bay when it comes to you as he wouldn’t even want to imagine hurting your feelings. You’ve been there for him when he really needed it, and he wants to do the same for you.

Fragrances I think Sailor Moon would wear….

Moonlight by Ariana Grande

This is Ariana’s least talked about perfume in my opinion, and it’s truly a shame because it’s the best smelling one in this particular line with the bottles that have the puff ball design. Not saying its her best fragrance over all, just my favourite in this line. The only drawback is the longevity isn’t the greatest, you will have to reapply or use some lotion or perfume oil to layer it with that will boost it’s lasting power. The smell of this though, is so worth it even if the lasting power isn’t great. Makes for a great scent to wear to bed, because if you wear it just before bed, how long it lasts doesn’t really matter. But i mean, i feel from the bottle, to the name of it, to the notes, this fragrance is USAGI in a bottle. It has usagi written all over it. The purple iridescence on the bottle gives that very 90s sailor moon pastel colour palette so frequently used as backdrops in the anime. The puff ball on it, is almost representative of a rabbit’s tail or her buns on her hair. It’s called moon light. It smells sweet and she is a huge sweet tooth. Could this be more fitting for her? Anyway, I’ve rambled unnecessarily about the bottle’s design but lets get into the thick of it. The notes. So this smells sweet definitely but not as young as it’s two other counterparts, Ari and Sweet like candy. This one has a more sultry edge. It opens with plum and black currant, which are juicy and delicious. The middle notes are soft marshmallow and peony and i think these notes especially have Usagi written all over them. Very soft and sweet. Marshmallow especially is a note I associate with her very much so there will be one more fragrance with marshmallow in this list as we move forward. The base notes are vanilla, sandalwood and amber which give this a maturity not many of the other fragrances in this line carry. This is delicious smelling but strikes me definitely as a night time fragrance. I think usagi would take a shower before bed, and use the moonlight shower gel and lotion before finally spraying the perfume. (If you’re thinking of getting this fragrance PLEASE get the shower gel, lotion, and body mist too, layering them all will help it last longer.) I can also see her wearing this to an evening date with Mamoru. This fragrance gives dreamy sleepy night time vibes. It’s romantic and elegant. She’s a romantic at heart so i can see her spraying this on any birthday or valentines cards she writes for Mamoru so that he remembers her, and she probably sprays this on her hair brush before passing it through her golden locks so he gets a whiff of it when he hugs her. Its a very pretty perfume that merits a hug for the wearer honestly. You want to hug whoever wears this because its just so lovely. I would wear this at night too. I mean it’s called moonlight. Yeah this is her romantic and cosy night fragrance for sure!

Live Irrésistible Délicieuse by Givenchy

This is her every day, day time scent. The one she wears to school or when she’s hanging out with her friends, when she’s just being Usagi and not Sailor moon. If she were a real person and you met her, I think you would smell this. We all know she’s a huge lover of food, especially anything sweet. This girl is a sweet tooth so it’s no surprise she’d want to smell as delicious as the desserts she eats. She’d want to smell irresistible and this is exactly what this perfume encapsulates. Also the juice in the bottle is pink, and this is her colour. Its a very youthful carefree fragrance and what better match for our teen protagonist. The main player note here is definitely the cherry, it stands out the most but this fragrance has an interesting french pastry note which makes it heavier than the typical fruity perfume. Most fruity perfumes are usually reserved for the summer, but i feel it is one that can be worn year round. The caramel, vanilla and almond at the base give it body. Its rich but not cloying and sure to satisfy a sweet tooth. Sad to report though, that this is discontinued. ( I hear Mukhalat by Montale is a decent dupe for this, but it contains strawberry instead of cherry) I’m pretty sure you can still get it some places online if you’re a lover of cherry and absolutely need this in your collection but I’d grab it quick. (If it’s any consolation, there are plenty of other cherry based perfumes, so missing out on this isn’t the end of the world. I can make a post for cherry perfumes if any of you guys are cherry lovers, just let me know.) Some lotions this would be very well paired with are fruity ones I suggest maybe the body shop butters and lotions? Something in their strawberry or mango ranges. I can see Usagi pairing this with these lotions or a simple vanilla lotion.

Moon carnival by Vilhelm Perfumerie

This is a brighter tropical floral, and the perfect summer time perfume. The white florals give it a delicate yet robust tone, and the citrusses at the top along with that tropical passion fruit note give it a brightness that’s classy yet very fit for hotter weather. This would be perfect for a summer day or a summer night. I have never been to Japan but I know and have heard that the summers can be intense and humid, and seeing as Usagi is from Japan, I think she would be drawn to a fragrance like this during the summer. It’s also appropriately named. I can see her wearing this to a summer festival to compliment her yukata or to the beach or to a picnic. I’ve heard many say this makes for a great wedding perfume. Especially if you are having a spring or summer wedding, something about it is so classy. It has a creamy soft quality thanks to the marshmallow and vanilla notes. Remember I said Usagi would be a sucker for the marshmallow notes? This is her expensive marshmallow perfume, and the Ariana Grande one is her affordable marshmallow perfume. Of course she is a high school student but she is also a princess, so i think it won’t be that far fetched for her to acquire this perfume. Or maybe it was a gift from Mamoru? Who can say? But I feel this is her choice for summer and a possible contender for a wedding fragrance in the future for her.

Luna by Penhaligon’s

Now, we’re at the final boss perfume. This is her princess mode perfume. It’s also on the expensive side but not a ludicrous price range for a fragrance. Plus she’s the princess of the moon, i think she can handle it. Penhaligons has a few fragrances themed around Greek and Roman mythology and since this anime sort of does too, I couldn’t find a more perfect fit. The bottle and scent totally give a dreamy, ethereal, princess serenity vibe and what a perfect fit to wear with that Dior inspired 1992 palladium dress. Can’t you picture her wearing this fragrance and that dress and looking over from her castle balcony? Are you getting the other worldly, dreamy vibes? I certainly am. Anyway, on to the notes: It like many fragrances, greets you with a light and refreshing burst of different citruses, lemon, bergamot and orange, so the opening is cheerful and bright, then we get to the middle notes the delicate rose, juniper berries and jasmine which give it a feminine softness, it’s definitely very refined, something you could see a princess wearing. The base notes are balsam, musk and ambergris which are refreshing, clean and woody. There is definitely something dreamy and magical about this fragrance. It's relaxing and gives a spa or altar vibe, you know? A truly romantic fragrance too, I can see this working as a wedding fragrance if you are going for the ethereal fairytale sort of theme. This is definitely her past life fragrance. Something she would be seen getting teary eyed over because of the memories it evokes for her.

I thought Gojo's goofball personality would be a great match! I felt like someone you could just have fun with would fit really well. I also considered Yuji since he's kind of similar, but ultimately, Gojo won

You two would compliment each other and almost be like partners in crime. I also feel like your eyes are compliments to one another. His clear blue ones and your stunning hazel ones full of color would just pair in a beautiful way.

In fact he adores your eyes and the way they glisten in the light. He loves when he can see flecks of amber and gold.

At first you two had playful banter full of sarcastic jokes and quick humor. But eventually it became a bit more flirtatious. Specifically more from Gojo.

You would get up to many shenanigans together. Especially at night. You would sneak onto the roof together with a pile of snacks and drinks, trying not to get caught by the teachers. You would play little games together and talk about whatever came to mind while gazing at the stars. You once told him about the brightest star, Sirius, but he would just argue that he's the brightest star lol.

When you are not in a playful mood, you actually bring some calm and steadiness to Gojo's life. He'd be quite clingy but content to just laze around with you. You would be reading a book and he'd wrap his arms around you, just happy to be with you. Although after a while he would totally snatch the book and run away because he was craving more attention.

Gojo is a very observant guy. He's constantly taking notice of what's around him. Since he cares about you, he takes a special notice of anything and everything. He'd take you to the new restaurant you mentioned or buy that dress you were eyeing at the mall. This man has a lot of money so expect to be spoiled.

One day, you were telling him all about the different meanings of flowers and the language they convey. You didn't think he was fully listening, but he heard every word. He then surprised you with a bouquet of forget-me-nots representing his true love and devotion for you. (When he's locked in the cube, seeing these flowers fills an ache in your chest everytime you see them. They helped you remember him, but it was so painful to be separated) You loved how they matched his eyes.

Aquarium dates!! This man would be running around like a little kid. Expect lots of photos together and random candids he would take of you. He'd pull faces at the fish and make you laugh. He'd also buy you the BIGGEST shark/dolphin plush from the gift shop.

He loves how blunt you are and never really minded it. He wears his heart on his sleeve for the most part and would prefer someone who is genuine.

You first met as first year students at Jujutsu High. You became quite close with your classmates, and the four of you seemed inseparable. Shoko and Geto were a lot like you, so your friendship came very naturally. Gojo was a bit unexpected, but his genuine nature won you over. (Even if he's a bit annoying at times)

On missions, he would make lots of challenges. Whoever could beat the curse first or destroy the most curses would win. Loser has to buy dinner or do something embarrassing. He would win a lot of the time, but you never backed down. These games added some fun and lightheartedness that you sometimes needed. Exorcising curses could be really mentally draining, so count on Gojo to really know how to boost your mood.

He has a massive sweet tooth, so he loves it when you bake for him. Sometimes, he tries to help in the kitchen, but it always ends up a mess with him around. Expect flour and chocolate everywhere. He would playfully get frosting on your nose and run away. After that, it just turned into an all-out battle of frosting. The cake almost burnt because of this.

-Despite the fact that Chiaki is relatively quiet and introverted for the most part, she enjoys getting to spend time with you to speak about her interests. Hello!

Reading your request, I actually had a somewhat hard time matching you to a person who suits the things you outlined.

However, after a ton of deciding, I ended up matching you to Eita Otoya!

Otoya comes off as a generally chill kind of person, usually making underhanded jokes or side comments from time to time. I know this probably sounds kind of silly, but the way you type sort of gave me that type of vibe in a way. I can definitely see you and Otoya playing some video games together. Probably something like Mario Kart where your insistence that “You’ll beat him” fires him up, but he still ends up losing somehow.

Calmer things like casual YouTube viewing would be suitable for you both, but I can’t really imagine Otoya watching ASMR. Instead, I have a feeling that he would agree to watch some things with you. You decide to watch ASMR to wind down, so you put it on the TV, slouching on the couch with a blanket over you. He comes and sits next to you, and scrolls on his phone for a bit, before putting it down when he notices you’ve fallen asleep. After about an hour, you wake up to him nonchalantly watching UFC compilations with phonk music playing behind the video.

Though, I think this sort of distanced way of not letting your connections travel deep is sort of similar with (this is completely my opinion) Otoya’s way of making friends and so, the two of you would feel better talking to each other instead of other people. I’d imagine him as the type to have friends, but also have that one person that’s closer to them than a friend is, with that person being you. In a school setting, I can’t help imagine that the two of you would be super close friends, and when one of your classmates asks if you have a crush on him, you brush it off – but it lingers at the back of your mind for the rest of the day. You end up telling him about it, and he just stares at you with his eyebrows slightly raised, saying:

“You mean to tell me you don’t have a crush on me?”  

Years later and he still picks on you for it.

This probably doesn’t sound like anything important to you, but I feel like a casual-esque dressing style matches nicely with the sort of street-ish style that Otoya wears. The two of you may even go shopping sometimes, and he’d pick out something for you to wear for fun. Despite it not being your style, much to his surprise, you end up wearing it a lot. 

I’m also not sure why, but I feel like he’d take aesthetically pleasing photos with you (or make you take them for him so he can post them Instagram with a corny caption).  But when you ask him to take a photo for you of yourself, he’ll point the back camera at you, flip the front camera to face him, and take photos of his face while you pose. He’d also definitely take photos of you during your least flattering moments, e.g., when you wake up, while you’re eating, catching you off guard at multiple instances just so he can take a photo that he claims is “super cute” (he’d set it as his lock screen). Despite this, he’ll like all your photos on Instagram and comment something under every single post. He also has some of your prettiest photos taken by himself, saved on his camera roll in a specific folder named ‘👌🏻’.
