#okay for once I am not ranting from rock bottom#but I did a lot of good coding in RStudio today#the bad part of that is I’m trying to tidy up the old Vulcan dictionary I used for my Semantics and Morphosyntax papers#this data is SO MESSY I cannot believe it#trying to get it to the point where R will even LOOK at it without being like ‘OH MY GOD THERE’S AN UNEXPECTED ITEM IN A PLACE’#NO I WON’T TELL YOU WHERE. I DON’T KNOW WHAT’S GOING ON’ is like. pulling teeth#RStudio is a toddler I swear#it’ll be like ‘No! I wanted mashpotato! this not MASHPOTATO!!!’ and throw a fit until you put a comma in the right place#and then suddenly it’s like ‘Oh! ok! I eat this instead of mashpotato!!’ and you’re like???????!:!#anyway I’ve finally gotten the data so that R finds it readable and started isolating single values per cell#but insodoing some of the new columns I made have values that need to be in their own columns#like I have a column that has part of speech data mixed in with semantic domain data & other stuff#so now I’m going to have to do an if { loop#guess what we never covered in class? .-.#And since my professor is useless I will have to learn how to do if { loops by myself#OH and there’s bits of this table I may end up having to separate out then pivot then re-integrate#guess what else we never covered in class? .-. .-.#yup. so now I have to learn how to do pivot tables by myself#it’s either learn how to do these things on my own or find a work around that’s so jury-rigged it’ll never be reproducible#*heavysigh* I will figure this out even if it kills me

#honestly i love them both#and yes ive got basically nothing on dreamdom lol#it was like an 'airplane thought' and i didnt realize how small the amt of d w movies im attached to is (or how many things d isney#technically owns)#i think its partly that the d w stuff im way more attached to but theres less of it (shrek my beloved. k f p is absolutely amazing and r ot#g is beautiful. cp un is also just my heckinc childhood even if im not attached as much- more the books lol) but theres just more d stuff t#flesh out teh au#i do think if i am ever assed to it wuld be baller to actually write dreamdom bc its hilarious and weird#and i love the thus spoke rohan/creepy pasta vibes of the tone that i have the idea for#i feel like this quartet does more hecked up stuff. like theyd go into a world doomed to disappear. like a lostbelt or something#they would watch as the universe unravels around them and only realize later they were in a lostbelt.#which would actually be hecking amazing of a crossover if the bois (tm) got to meet sal or pucca#sal bc hes my fave or pucca bc he has the shrek vibes that senpai also has#like imagine them meeting pucca and everyone- every one of them is charmed by this weirdo.#pucca is playing the fool and entertaining the dying faeries. little by little the squad realizes something is off.#then the world just up and starts dissolving but pucca is still trying to joke around and make people laugh#dm like. grabs him by the throat or something. why are you doing this#and then pucca just laughs again and smiles even tho hes crying and looks scared sh-less.#im a fool arent i? im the servant of the greatest fool of all time. if no one remembers me if no one remembers this it doesnt matter.#just that i made people laugh. just that i was able to keep a good. witty. honest fool in this world till the end.#the squad realize the true gravity of the situation and are forced to watch pucca and everyone else just get. yeeted. esp with the knowledg#that their events will get written over by canon and pucca probably wont even exist.#haha little do they know hes alive and well bc he had that strong bond with mashpotato#also <- this entire tag thread is gonna sound rediciouls in like 5 yrs time and cringe af#unless i remember the deets lol#au ramblings

Dawg i hate remembering my dads wife is like, so unreasonable. Especially when it comes to my dad.
I could ask my dad with her in the room if he thinks he has autism (we both have it) and shed beat him to the conclusion that he in fact does not despite all the signs.
Id also say i have something like multiple concussions, or speaking about how his last wife fucked me up or adhd, and shed burst in saying that my dad has had way more than i must have or much worse adhd/trauma/abuse (or like harder time managing it i suppose) and make a pissing contest of speaking on my dads behalf for every aspect of his wellbeing.
And i understand this might stem from her role in convincing him to seek help when he needed it years ago or whatnot but my dad’s an entire well acclimated 40yr old dude. Stop treating this whole ass adult like another one of your pet children pls, this guy’s literally my dad i should be able to talk about our shared experiences without you telling us what he does and dont have.
And this is only one part of my dads life she keeps latching on to. And the rest of my dads fam knows this and actively talks about it when shes not around bc theyre too tired to hear her croc tears.
#if it gives you a little more insight about her shes the only white lady in the house that supposedly is the bread winner of 5.5 children#and one man.#shes also a hair stylist/ dresser#shes the reason why my dad’s mashpotatoes recipe changed from greatest safe food ever to cream of potato soup#not to mention her colonist ass trys to keep as much rice from our diet as possible growing up#we’re third/second gen korean americans and it makes me sick that she fucks with the way we all ate growing up#she also tried to pressure me into converting my best friend (lgbt) to christianity as kids- that was gross#audhd#lgbt#autism#adhd#actually audhd#suck boiled chicken lindsey#vent#vent post#manipulation
