Im not a movie person at all, but I saw this the year it came out when I was 12 with my parents and I've been obsessed ever since. So much so that I bought it years ago and I only own 3 movies (this, Apocalypse Now and Jackass). My mom is a big fan, too! I can't praise this movie enough!!

The Fall is not quite over and there is still time to get out there to see that last bit of foliage. This piece is about the horniness that Covered Bridges can tend to trigger in people, especially old folks, and why we should appreciate these beautiful structures. You do know, your grandmama and them were getting fingerblasted in the moonlight in these Covered Bridges, right? Let's look into this.

DUDE I WAS SUPER OBSESSED WITH THIS EVENT FOR AGES I HAVE THE WHOLE THING ALMOST MEMORIZED ATP
So basically, in Boston, Massachusetts around 1915, Purity Distilling Company (later bought by the United States Industrial Alcohol Company) stored molasses in this huge 50-ft (15.24 meter) tall tank. It looked like a water tower, except it was filled with molasses. This company did not care at all about safety guidelines, so it was prone to leaking even from day one. Locals knew it leaked and kids would take buckets and fill them with the molasses that fell from the tank so they could take it home. It got so bad that the company, instead of just fixing the tank’s leaks, painted it brown so you couldn't see the molasses peeking through.
On the day of the molasses flood, January 15th, 1919, the tank was getting filled up with some more molasses. They heated the molasses so that it would flow more easily, so when it met with the cold molasses that was already in the tank, there was some kind of chemical reaction that caused the molasses to expand, and the tank ruptured.
Now remember, this tank was FIFTY FEET TALL, so it had 2.3 MILLION gallons of molasses in there. And it all went flooding into Boston at 35 miles per hour. It destroyed buildings, pushed an elevated train off of its tracks, and injured/killed a lot of people. They had to get rid of it using saltwater and sand, and that took a few days if I remember correctly.
This information might not be 100% accurate, I'm mostly going off of stuff I remember from when I did some research on it a couple years ago, but I think I got most of the broad stuff.

Shoutout to gay furry hackers. In this house we support our troops 🫡
[Video ID: The Patriot Place / Gillette Stadium sign. On the digital screen, three images of furry art cycle. The third image has the text "Gay Furry Pride Bitches" on it. The person taking the video snorts with laughter when the third image appears on the screen]

Do you live in Massachusetts? Are you looking for some direct action to take? Guess what our shitty state house just did!
Tumblr media
It’s passed in the house and going to the state senate as far as I can tell and it seems like they just snuck it in there because ???. So it’s time to harass your state senator and rep. You can find them here: https://malegislature.gov/Search/FindMyLegislator
Call them, email them, send them letters, protest outside their doors, whatever. Let them know this will not stand here
