Yandere Master Emerald?

A thought just game to me, what if the Master Emerald was a yandere in AU? What if it wanted to keep Knuckles on Angel Island forever and would take any means necessary to keep the echidna on the Island? Like it would try to convince Knuckles the outside world is an inherently evil, dangerous and dirty place. It would get very angry when Knuxs tries to leave.

Or what if the Emerald was simply overprotective and just wants to protect it's precious puggle from the outside world by any means necessary?

The fics where Knuckles has some cool powers from the master emerald or is like a very special guy who talks to the master emerald are so good but I've been thinking. What if he isn't. He's the guardian of the master emerald, not a user. Sonic is the one who can use the chaos emeralds and is basically the chosen one when it come to chaos energy, and Knuckles just guards it.

I just imagine Knuckles, who's been put on angel island and basically sacrificed his entire life to this thing and never received any form of acknowledgment, who then meets Sonic who's basically a chaos energy magnet. Chaos emeralds love him, master emerald responds to him. Sonic is there to use the energy, Knuckles is to only guard it

Random sonic headcanons

Sonic does have a house, but he only uses it to store his things and basically never spends time in it

Mighty and Ray haven't appear in modern sonic because mighty is somehow still missing and ray is searching for him

In the future, since there's no longer equidnas, silver is now the guardian of angel/onix island

Also, every time he goes back to the past is because the master emerald shows him a vision of it and he goes to check if everything if ok

The chaotix only have 2 rooms in the house and espio sleeps in the sofa

Mighty is the one who gave the cowboy/ treasure hunter hat to knuckles

Metal sonic actually died/was destroyed in back in rivals 2. The one that appears in team sonic racing is a prototype of eggman to try to rebuild him, but he's not complete and has no AI programed yet

Speaking of. Eggman nega died (left to die by espio-) in the ifrit dimension in the same game

The early concept of sonic in a band actually happened early in the timeline. So, vector and sonic know each other, but since they're really not longer friends they pretend like they don't recognize each other

The only ones who remember sonic 06 are sonic, Elise (partially) and blaze (partially/regained her memory in generations)

Mephiles/solaris didn't died when Elise blew up the flame, he just lost his corporeal form and now he's exclusively an omnipresent being

Classic sonic isn't mute, he simply refused to talk in generations-forces because he was annoyed and hated almost everyone (look at the rescue friends cutscenes from classic POV, he looks pissed)

Omega is still pretty much alive by silver's future, shadow not so much

Surprisingly, the only one good with handling Money on team chaotix is Charmy. Espio wastes it all in gambling and Vector gets scammed 24/7

Big fan of the idea that the cuffs that Silver wears are inhibitors/regulators similar to Shadow's. Amy too.

Theyre acting like devices that help tame the chaos energy/redirect it in a way that ensures that the wearer isn't going to tear themselves to shreds. Like little batteries/reserves that keep the wearer from using all that energy all at once!

knuckles' gullibility is such a fun trait ik it's kinda overdone and people are probably sick of it but honestly i wanna see more of it it's so endearing he's so silly

mm. but i feel like the it doesn't get utilised properly a lot of the time. theres a few instances where we're just told he gets tricked but not shown how and that makes it seem like he's just dumb when his gullibility's supposed to come from a belief in the good of others. and specifically in x a lot of the time he gets tricked bc his compassion is preyed upon. it makes a lot of sense for someone that grew up in isolation with no concept of deceit and i find that really interesting!!! i want that to be explored more!!

he's not the kind to try to redeem people but if anyone, even enemies, come to him in a time of need wants to help them out!! i love that about him. he tries to be an immovable mountain but he's veryyy easily swayed by others lol it's so fun

my headcanon for tikal existing in modern time explained

-years ago Tikal uses all her energy to seal herself and Chaos inside the master emerald, she's focusing all her power on keeping both of them sealed inside

-there is never a point where she is dead, she is just sealed in time and space inside the master emerald, time is not moving it stays still, she is aware

-current time, Eggman lets Chaos out, Tikal comes out as well

-after Sonic DX there is no reason to have Chaos sealed so they both can just exist outside the master emerald

Tikal living in modern times feels like there is never a ok place to complain so if she doesn't like something (like say the flavor of something or doesnt like an item she will say she likes it and not complain) this is because she doesn't think she deserves to complain ever there is no situation she considers ok to complain cause she could be dead but shes alive so that life has value

So, based purely off of this post, I had a thought.

Somewhere floating around Tumblr land is a post with the official Sega character descriptions, and for Silver it says that mysterious portals open when he's needed in the past. Which got me thinking.

What if the Master Emerald is the thing that's opening the portals for him? It's omnipresent, and maybe wherever it is in the future allows it to have greater access to various powers and connections to different people and places.

And maybe it adopted Silver as its own. It's unclear whether or not Knux is still around in Silver's time, but it doesn't seem like he is. What if the M.E looked at this spindly little hedgehog with the amazing powers and thought "this little guy needs some friends" and just chucks him in the past whenever he's feeling particularly lonely or sad? The gem doesn't have a connection with Silver like it did with Knux, so it can't really tell him why he's going back, but the fact that he appears when there's a problem and puts him in contact with Sonic and crew seems a little specific to me.

At any rate, it's a fun thing to think about. The ME just collects kids and exerts its will over them when it thinks they need some socializing.

I have thoughts... hear me out

-I'm assuming you guys know more about the Time Stones than I do on this one- but I've been thinking about the Magical McGuffins™ of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise for a while

Chaos Emeralds. Sol Emeralds. Master Emerald. Time Stones. Warp Topaz. Phantom Ruby? and of course, the Paradox Prism to name some off the top of my head.

We know the Sol Emeralds are an alternate-dimension equivalent to the Chaos Emeralds. There are seven of each, posses an enormous near limitless amount of power in just a single gem, grant a Super Form type power-up to their wielder. (And while yeah, the Master Emerald has a guardian not the Chaos Emeralds, the emeralds have a close connection to the M.E. and I believe that all eight gems were once under the protection of the Knuckles Clan. This is paralleled by the Sol Emeralds having Blaze as their guardian.)

Now how does this relate to the Time Stones? Parallels.

Chaos and Sol are cross-dimensional (Space & Reality) counterparts. Why not toss in a cross-temporal (Time & Reality) equivalent while we're at it?

This brings me to the Time Stones; I'm not 100% sure how many there are, but I'm guessing there's seven. The Sol Emeralds haven't really had an M.E. equivalent confirmed, so I don't know about that- but wouldn't it just be so neat if the Time Stones had one? Maybe instead of the Stones needing to be controlled by their M.E. equivalent THEy are the controllers, needed to keep reality and time stable somehow.

Ah, but what could this other gem be? Well I propose the Paradox Prism!

We've seen in Sonic Prime that when it's shattered it can create a kind of sub-space/mini-multiverse (the Shatter-Spaces and Void). Plus, the Prism doesn't seem to care who uses it's power just like the Chaos Emeralds; The Chaos Council, Nine, Sonic, and Thorn Rose have all been shown harnessing Prism Energy for their own personal gain in different ways for various reasons. Just like how many people and creatures have used the Chaos Emeralds for personal gain (Eggman, Sonic, Mephiles, Perfect Chaos, even Devil Doom).

...I've got the beginnings of a headache now and can't focus on this train of thought anymore, sorry. I'm going to end this here, but I just thought it'd be neat if the Chaos Emeralds and Paradox Prism were equivalents of each other while the M.E. and Time Stones act as their Controllers (think of Tikal's Prayer). Who knows, maybe that would make Silver the guardian of the Time Stones and Paradox Prism or smth, I dunno. My eyes hurt.

Sonic Headcanons 8

Mobians are more genetically closer to humans than their animal counterparts. This is because in early Mobian evolution, they could take on the traits of other animals, much like Chao do in Sonic Adventure 1. Eventually, Mobian ancestors that lived near certain geographic areas where these animals lived, took on their traits permanently, lost the ability to adopt traits from other animals and kept evolving those permanently adopted traits further. Each Mobian animal type is recognised as a subspecies.

Rouge was an orphan as a child and was very poor and homeless, often having to beg and pick pockets. Because of this, she's quite frivolous and deft handed. She revels in having luxuries as an adult.

Rouge has a secret hideout on Angel Island she renovated herself, complete with her own Chao Garden. She has the perfect vantage point to survey the Master Emerald and Knuckles. Because Angel Island is so high in the sky, it would be impractical to fly to it every attempt at stealing the Master Emerald. Though at this point, she’s just enjoying the cosiness and view outside of her little secret home.

Amy Rose wants to open a Bakery once she's an adult because she loves baking so much and eating sweets. If she succeeds in this, Shadow would be her first employee because he also has a sweet tooth and likes baking. Her style would be cutesier, whereas Shadow’s would be more eloquent. Amy’s bakery becomes extremely popular and all her friends hear about it and come to see.

Sonic was a little surprised at Shadow working in the bakery, but he still likes visiting and purchasing pastries to try and attempting banter with Shadow.

When Cream is old enough, Amy would take her on as an apprentice.

ME, Knuckles and fruits

The master emerald , unlike most human and Mobian parents, wouldn't have to nag their kid to eat veggies/fruits, since Knuckles naturally loves fruits and veggies (even broccoli). Knuckles loves fruits of all kinds. This was a good thing since he lived on an island filled with almost supernaturally nutritious fruits and vegetables with no junk food in sight (unless you count honey and the occasional sugar cane XD).

Thinking about sentient ME specifically in the movie verse specifically in a ‘Knuckles is fully aware the ME is a god and the others are slowly starting to figure it out and they don’t know how they feel about it’ kind of way.

Like Knuckles carries the ME around everywhere and will meditate with it and even pray to it.  He claims it gives him dreams (and this is met with such incredulity that he decides he won’t mention that sometimes it whispers to him). The Wachowskis try to take him seriously and be respectful but also a small part of them is bemused that he worships a big, shiny rock (a super powered rock, yes, but still, a rock).

But sometimes they get this feeling around the emerald.  It feels like its watching them, but when they turn to look at it the sensation vanishes.  If they stare at it they get the impression, not like the abyss is staring back, but more like the abyss is politely not making eye contact.  And if they’re sitting close to it and Knuckles approaches, they get the strangest feeling that it’s happy to see him??

They’ve all noticed these things but none have dared to bring it up to one another.  Because if the others have felt the same things then that means its probably real and this cultural artifact/super weapon is also alive somehow and that’s just a little terrifying.

Meanwhile Knuckles sleeps with it like a teddy bear.

Dying to hear your thoughts about knuckles being possessed by the chaos emerald

Okay cmere (pats my bed foryou to sit next to me) this will make no sense probably but I've had many specific thoughts about this idk if it's any good

umm i won't lie I have a whole ass au in the making rn skcnkdkdkd but im very unsure about many things so I'm not going to go into this stuff much. However I've been thinking about this for quite some time and what I think is that a scenario like that would require a new villain (or one that already exists but I'm not versed enough in sonic lore and idk them). LISTEN IDK anything about enerjack I WILL I prommy I will and I will scream about ittt But. A villain that is interested in Echidnas, Angel Island and stuff, someone knowledgeable and with big big ambitious. I don't see it being Eggman cause I feel like the most Eggman would do with the Master Emerald is powering some big ass robot or a giant laser or something. And this should be personal. This should be about Angel Island and the Echidnas and about Knuckles' life and his mission. Knuckles doesn't go super, he doesn't use the emeralds, he doesn't use the Master Emerald, he just guards it. So to get him to actually use it, get corrupted by it, it would have to be something powerful and something that plays on all bad parts of his life. I don't really see Knuckles as someone who angsts a lot about his situation, he's unsatisfied by it but I don't think he's going to cry about it. He's proud of being the guardian of the Master Emerald even though it has big big downsides. The things that would actually be painful would be failure as guardian (not just of the ME but his friends too)loss of Angel Island, loss of something big, very important to the echidna culture, stuff like that, idk I'd have to think it through haha. I don't think Knuckles being corrupted by the Master Emerald should be anyone's end goal. It could be something of a side effect, perhaps Knuckles trying to protect it from destruction or corruption or something would get corrupted himself and entangled with the Emerald's power. All very cool he needs a very cool form. Personally I think the tactic for his defeat could be more than one person using the chaos emeralds to become super, this way let's say Sonic takes all the punches (gets punched out of his super form like the master can do) and for example Tails and Amy (I need them to go super pls pls pls) could blast Knux to smithereens lmao. You know what I mean. I think? But basically, this is a very cool concept but I NEED it to be so good and big and dramatic. This is NOT a one shot idea for me okay, I need a 50k story at least.
