Hello!

Chapter 140 has been my Roman Empire. Do you have any theories that lead to that future. Rin is alone but powerful almost like carrying Yukio sadness. I have been reading your theories lately and I really like your takes especially about the twins having two fathers and the watermelon theories.

Chapter 140, is showing us a possible dystopian future.

One that might not happen.

Mephisto has been spending all of his time meddling in the timeline, trying to find ways to stop the end of the world. He's been attempting to create the perfect vessel for Satan or Lucifer. Once he is successful, the world will come back into balance.

Mephisto can't see the future past a certain point, he doesn't have all the answers yet, but he's stacking his deck with options.

The dystopian future is bleak. Rin is powerful, but sad and damaged. Like he's been alone a long time, or fighting against a new evil, which I think is The Knights of the True Cross. (Crazy, right?)

In the future Gehenna and Assiah merge.

True Cross is under the authority of Arthur August Angel, whom, as we know, hates demons. Under Arthur's leadership, humans and demons are segregated. Demons are kept away at all costs, and Arthur is no doubt, hunting demons.

This is a big mistake

We know, from various chapters, that demon suffering brings evil.

Demons simply want to feel all the pleasures humans feel without pain. It's the pain, and the mistreatment that's the problem. If demons could live alongside humanity pain-free, the anger and resentment would fade. Demons wouldn't be so dangerous.

And if humans chose to instead live and collaborate with demons, perhaps they could build bridges and share divine power. That's the direction Yuri and Lightning were going. They aren't heretics, but smart.

Demons with family, seem to be able to spread out their powers and have viable human vessels. That's a reason why Mephisto has the ability to live such a good life, being as strong as he is. It isn't just his Time powers that preserve him but he's got a human family out there. (Of course he keeps his kin and family in hiding, and it's a mystery that's yet to be unravelled.)

Back to the Future

The Future for Rin must have been traumatic. There is a complete separation of exorcist factions. But who separated?

Rin obviously must be on the side of demons, and I'm hoping he's with Lightning, Shura, and Mephisto. I hope he's not all alone.

On the True Cross side, we have Arthur August Angel. And I hate to say it, but I think Yukio would still choose to fight against demons and side with Angel. (We haven't seen it yet, but I predict it.)

Something bad might also happens to Shiemi which divides the brothers into hating each other. If Rin lost Shiemi, it would kill his soul.

Not the Real Future

I honestly don't think this is the future that will stick. If Mephisto finds the perfect vessel for Satan and one for Lucifer, and finds a way to bind their powers. It's possible to stop the dystopian future from ever happening.

He keeps rewinding the timeline looking for the answer that eludes him.

I still think Shiro is the somehow the key.

Now, Shiro is dead to us, but never dead to Mephisto. Mephisto sees Shiro over and over, when he revisits and tweaks the timeline.

If Shiro decided to become Satan's vessel during the blue night. Maybe Yuri wouldn't have to die, and maybe both Satan and Shiro could raise Rin and Yukio. It's a long-shot, I know. But when Satan possessed Shiro both times, the demon's powers didn't kill him. Shiro stabbed himself to rid his body of Satan. In some capacity, Shiro was able to control the possession and push Satan back. That's no small feat.

I also think that demons and certain humans are destined to pair up. Shiro and Satan were compatible physically, and very much alike personality wise. Shiro was just weak of spirit. He wasn't mature enough for the burden. As a matter of fact, Shiro's actions created death and suffering. Yuri tried to escape with Satan, but Shiro sold them out to the order. This started the chain-reaction that lead to the blue night and Yuri's death.

If Mephisto could somehow change the past, and convince Shiro. Rin and Yukio would have a very positive future. Yukio only had Shiro to raise him, and he desperately needed Yuri. The woman loved demons and would have passed that knowledge off to Yukio, creating empathy and understanding.

In the end, the terrible dystopian future isn't Rin or Yukio's fault. Neither of them are to blame.

Like Lightning said to Yukio a few chapters back; Children are not responsible for the mistakes of adults.

Shiro created this mess, and he should be the one to fix it.

He needs to step up sometime in the past and offer to be Satan's vessel.

We still have the trouble with Lucifer. There are various possible vessels for him kicking around.

We have Arthur, but I don't think he'd be able to share his body with a demon. He's weak of spirit and hates demons. If Lucifer possessed Angel, the exorcist would die. (might happen)

We have Shiemi, whom like Arthur was a clone or hybrid of Lucifer that was powered from Shemihaza's crystal.

3. The Uzai stole Lucifer's old ashes after Shemihaza destroyed him during the blue night. The fact that they were meant to be sealed away, means that they might still be viable source material for a new vessel.

4). We have Homare Todo, who is potentially a demon-eater like her father. She's hanging out with Lucifer all the time, and has caught his temptaint. She's a viable vessel and she might have the strength of soul to control and bind him. Maybe make him happy?

5). We also have Nemu Takara, a kid that seems to not have a soul, but speaks through a puppet. Who the heck is that kid? Is he an empty shell being controlled by Mephisto?

Anyway, this is one of my theories on the future.

It could go in any direction. ;)

ok it's actually 4 if you count movies. idk if you asked this for like, reccomendation reasons or not? but just in case i'll try to give a quick summary

IN MY HUMBLE BUT CORRECT OPINION yuri on ice was always good and gay some of you guys are just weak. i don't know what to say about yoi without spoiling most of the story BUT LIKE. it's got actual sports drama and insight from a professional competitive view. it's got a depressed, insecure mc whose mental health is deteriorating BECAUSE Sports Are Hell and it's presented in a very realistic way. the main duo are both in their mid-20s which is neat, and their dynamic is SO FASCINATING no matter how you interpret it. so far the only show i've watched i'd label as "gay subtext" but in yknow, a legitimate and satisfying way instead of a cheap way. the development of the main duo's relationship is just as relevant to the story as the competitive skating part

GIVEN!!!!! ough. given......there's even less i can say about this one without spoling literally everything. THIS ONE IS /A GAY ROMANTIC DRAMA/ that's just the genre. but what really makes it special to me is how seriously it takes itself. since it's also a story about a band rising to fame, the "drama" aspect comes from both the romance And from the typical friend-group infighting that every band story has lol. it also deals with some surprisingly heavy topics like suicide, trauma, child abuse AND HOMOPHOBIA, and it handles everything in SUCH a mature way. if you can swallow the heavier themes then it's a really sweet and empowering story. ALSO it gets bonus points for only having the first 2 protags out of 4 be teenagers, the other 2 are grown college students.

I'M JUST GONNA LIST BOTH MOVIES RQ: "doukyuusei/classmates" and "umibe no étranger/the stranger by the shore". they're both kind of an acquired taste and they're more fluffy and wholesome than the shows i listed above, but i enjoyed them :]

Full offensive thoughts after Stranger Things S4:

Spoilers, obviously.

Let me preface this by saying that season four was certainly my favourite season. How-evah,

I am never going to be okay with that. You know what. That.

I haven’t quite figured out the nature of Steve’s feelings for Robin. Of course they are the best platonic duo I have seen in ages but I was confused by Steve’s small confession that he would like to be in a relationship with Robin but it was impossible. To Nancy, of all people. How is this consistent with him pining for Nancy and daydreaming they have a family?

In any case, that conversation of Jonathan and Nancy in which the latter says that “Steve has become more mature”…. Excuse me, but I am realising Steve has always been the most mature. And even like this, he still knows better himself and what he wants. Just books and knowledge don’t make maturity, dear Nancy. If only Nancy knew once, once! what it is she’s feeling. Don’t let me start with Jonathan…

Jonathan Byers: *How am I gonna tell my little, timid, scared, closeted gay brother that I know and support him???*

Jonathan: *oh I know!*

Jonathan: Hey Will remember that time you stuck a lego man so deep inside you it took me hours to get him out? Just know I can do that again in case someone is stuck, OK?

The strangest thing in Stranger Things is that a boy like Will and a girl like El are so head over heels for Mike. There’s nothing wrong with Mike but… come on.

I really disliked that they didn’t show us the characters’ reactions when they learned about Hopper being actually alive. El is like oh I am so relieved you’re here and that’s it.

I also thought it was off that Joyce and El got undressed at some point and they were pristine clean after those odysseys of theirs - Joyce was also sexy on top of that.

I am a huge Jopper shipper but… that scene where Joyce and Hopper are just about to get it on and Hopper just… looms over her, wasn’t it a little creepy?! And I say this as a very petite girl who has been into tall guys before. I don’t think it was David’s fault, I think it was filmed / written in a weird way. At least I am pretty sure and hopeful David will never see this because he has this whole insecurity thing about his size…

And to prove my love for David and Jopper, I believe it is basically inhuman that at this point Hopper is still denied some fun. Let the man get laid you assholes! You just know it is gonna happen in the last episodes of the show, right?

Now I am going to become a little legitimately evil… Winona was a little weak with her acting. And YES I freaking LOVE Winona since way before Stranger Things.

Last but definitely not least, S4 proves Americans are stupid for not being able to deal with the Demogorgon. Russians have been carrying them in labs and even making surgeries on them with them being conscious. Has anyone thought how the Russians put all these Demogorgons in the vials with that dark matter being kept separately and also guarding and feeding the adult Demogorgons effectively all this time?! Russians have been Demogorgon scholars all along, meanwhile our protagonists just shoot fire and hope for a quick death.

Yuri should be dead by now, and yet

Let Me Speak to the Manager! Ch. 2- Karen x Manager

The second chapter of my new story, a Karen x Manager yuri romcom. Yes, you read that right.

Description: After being denied a discount at a supermarket, single mother Karen demands to see the manager. Much to her horror, the manager is hot enough to be her first woman crush. But Karen would rather join a pyramid scheme than deal with her feelings, much less admit them.

Chapter 2: Karen vs The Supermarket

Upon seeing the banana prices outside a local grocery store, Karen received a rude awakening. They were even higher than in the supermarket! Sure, they seemed to be a smidge better in quality, but if she bought a kilogram of these, she would have to only buy half a kilogram of grapes and that simply would not do. If Kyle punched one more hole in the wall, Karen was sure the wall would crumble and the ceiling would fall on top of him.

She weighed her options. Would it be worth it to drive to a cheaper grocery store? How much did petrol cost that day?

Eventually, she compromised and pulled a couple of bananas off the bunch to make it lighter. Keeping Kyle’s hunger for grapes satiated was much more important than some bananas.

She went inside the store to pay for groceries, grumbling about the prices to the poor woman at the register.

The sun was just beginning to set when Karen was done with all her shopping. Her back was sore from hunching over a desk all day, made worse by carrying the grocery bags to her car. Once she was home, she ordered her children to help her put away the groceries. Sharon and Carol didn’t bother but Kyle joined her.

‘About bloody time,’ Karen said.

Kyle opened one of the bags, picked a single grape and popped it in his mouth. ‘Just here for these,’ he claimed, though he continued helping.

Karen pulled out a pack of energy drink cans. ‘And these?’

Kyle snatched it from her. ‘And these.’

‘How was school?’

‘Alright. Boring. Keith said he’ll let me borrow his copy of Code of Revenge: Gears of The Soldier.’

‘Is that a g-’

‘Yep.’

Karen fell silent. Her knowledge of video games was limited to what she heard on the news, not nearly enough to carry a conversation about them.

All she managed to say was, ‘Uh, that’s nice. Just make sure you don’t stay up too late playing it.’

Ah, the classic line when you don’t know how to talk to your children about video games.

‘Oh, and Kyle, give me your pocket knife. I know you bought one.’

‘But mum-’

‘I don’t want that game influencing you!’

‘It’s for self-defence!’

‘Why would you need that?’

Kyle kicked one of the grocery bags on the floor. ‘You know what? Put this shit away yourself.’ He stormed back to his room and shook the frame as he slammed the door shut.

‘Hey, come back!’ Karen shouted. No response. The ache in Karen’s back got worse as she leaned down to pick up items from grocery bags herself. Her arms were too weak to lift an entire bag onto the kitchen bench, which would have lessened the strain of leaning down.

The following week, Karen tried another grocery store. The prices were better but the selection was downright embarrassing. There was none of the variety promised by living in the great capitalist landscape of Australia. Karen was sorely disappointed.

Of course, Karen had to make this disappointment known to the cashier. ‘I may as well live in Russia if I’m getting this little choice.’ The cashier had no choice but to laugh awkwardly and grit her bared teeth.

When Karen looked into the half-empty boot, devoid of many of the groceries she needed, she knew enough was enough. She winced at the thought but could no longer avoid a simple truth: she had to return to that supermarket.

As she drove home, she considered how to avoid that manager and decided to shop on a different day. For the first time in a while, she grinned.

That grin did not survive the following week’s shopping trip. Frema Nazarian, that beautiful witch, was at the supermarket, albeit as just another shopper. She wore a tight red shirt, scandalous high-waisted pale lemon shorts and a form-fitting blazer the colour of sand.

And, of course, the witch smirked upon seeing Karen. ‘I must have misheard you a few weeks ago. I thought you said something along the lines of ‘I’m never coming back here again!’ Did you actually say something else?’

Blood scorched rapidly through Karen’s veins. ‘I’m not here for you.’

Frema raised an eyebrow. ‘When did I suggest that?’

That boiling blood went straight to Karen’s cheeks. That dumb vixen must have cursed her with her luscious lips and spellbinding eyes!

‘Uh, that… you just seemed like the kind of person to think about something like that. And why are you being so rude to a customer?’

‘I’m not on the clock, am I?’ Frema asked as she pulled a jar of instant coffee from a shelf. A strong, agonisingly palpable desire nestled in Karen’s heart, eager to be quenched. This desire? To one-up Frema.

She reached up towards an even higher shelf on the opposite side of the aisle. Alas, she was too short to pick up the packet of biscuits. Frema saw Karen’s flailing arm and grabbed the item for her, gracefully placing it in Karen’s trolley.

Karen snatched the biscuit packet from the trolley and held it up to her chest like she was guarding it with her life. She stared at this audacious succubus with wide eyes that popped out of their sockets.

Upon realising how ridiculous she must have looked, she put the packet back in the trolley.

‘It’s not like your customer service was great even when you were working,’ she said.

‘I apologise.’

‘Thank y-’

‘I should have magically been transferred to both the marketing department and the accounting department so I could change the prices of bananas for you.’

‘Surely you’re allowed to give discounts!’

A few shoppers turned their heads to witness this loud argument.

Frema put her hands on her hips, swishing her blazer behind her. Karen noticed. ‘On what grounds would I give you a discount?’

‘Y-you… have a nice jacket!’

Karen scrunched her lips inside her mouth like she had just drunk unsweetened lemonade, her entire face now the colour of raspberries. Frema froze, as did the shoppers. Karen mulled over ways she could dig a hole in the ground to die in without breaking the pipes down below.

Frema’s laugh was perhaps the ugliest laugh possible, a nasal cackle with plenty of snorting. Yet, somehow, it was also the sweetest laugh Karen had ever heard. A few customers grew bored of the deflated conflict and resumed their shopping.

‘I’ll tell you what,’ Frema said in between laughs. ‘I’ll give you 1 per cent off per compliment. Do we have a deal?’

Karen crossed her arms and looked beside her at the seemingly mocking smiles of the various brand mascots. At least their stares didn’t embarrass her as much as Frema’s beautifully horrendous giggling.

‘I meant to say I should get a widow’s discount,’ she admitted.

Frema wiped a tear from her eye and held back the dregs of her laughter. ‘I’m sorry for your loss. I don’t know how you got from widow’s discount to how good my jacket looks, but hey, I’ll take it.’

Karen glared at Frema. ‘Well, enjoy your one compliment. It’s all you’re getting.’

‘Shame. I have a whole collection of these blazers at home. All different colours.’

Karen thought to ask if she had a collection of shorts no one her age should wear, but she held her tongue and returned her gaze to the mascots on the shelf.

‘I’m Frema, by the way.’

‘Karen.’

Frema went back to her task of putting items in her trolley. She looked for a symbol on an instant coffee jar and groaned when it wasn’t there.

‘Don’t tell the higher-ups that I’m complaining, but there really should be more kosher stuff here,’ she murmured.

Karen whipped her head towards Frema. She felt a twinge of disappointment that Frema wasn’t Christian, though she had a feeling when she first heard her foreign-sounding name.

Wait, why was she disappointed? It wasn't like, if Frema was a Christian like Karen, they could…

Karen blinked quickly and her cheeks somehow got even hotter. Why was she even entertaining this idea? Hell, what idea was she even entertaining?

‘Are you okay?’ Frema asked, getting just a little too close to Karen’s face.

‘I’m perfectly fine. I was just surprised. You don’t exactly-’

‘Look Jewish? Yeah, that’s probably because I’m a Mizrahi Jew.’ She pulled a necklace chain out from underneath her shirt, revealing a Star of David pendant. ‘Persian, to be exact, though my mum was born in Israel.’ Frema chuckled, though the sound took on a bitter tone. ‘Sorry I don’t look like Woody Allen.’

‘I’m sorry.’

‘All good. I’m used to it. Shouldn’t be, but I am. But hey, I managed to get an apology from you. That’s a start.’

Karen started pushing her trolley as Frema chatted about various topics, also pushing her trolley. Frema was surprisingly talkative and Karen was content to listen because, every so often, her laughter would come out. Karen found herself grinning ear to ear every time she heard it.

By the end of their shopping trip, the corners of Karen’s mouth had lowered completely. A realisation dropped two tonnes’ worth of bricks onto her heart.

She was deeply, intensely attracted to this woman.

Chapter 3

You took a deep breath, and with shaking knees, you slowly walked towards the open clubroom doors.

You froze at the sight of the male version of Yuri, and Natsuki.

Yuri still has his dark purple hair, and light purple eyes. His aura, just like the original girl version, expresses maturity and sophistication.

Natsuki still possess his straight pastel pink hair, and pink eyes. His bangs are swept to the right, having two prominent strands of hair beside them. Suprisingly enough, he still retained the accessory the girl version has, that consist of a red Japanese-style crossed hairclip, as well as a red ribbon tying one small ponytail on the upper half of his head at the back— the rest of his hair left down. And his height, he's actually taller than you but still the smallest one on the boys.

You continued to examine the two of them, your cheeks heating up.

They. Are. So. Hot.

"Welcome to the Literature Club. It's a pleasure meeting you," male Yuri suddenly spoke up, bringing you to reality. His voice was deep, and soothing. "Satori always says nice things about you," he added.

The pink-haired guy then said. "Seriously? You brought a girl?" he rolled his eyes. "Way to kill the atmosphere."

As much as you wanted to be offended by his statement, you were too distracted by his cute voice.

You opened your mouth to speak out but then frozed when your realized one thing. "Where's Monika?" You whispered, not realizing the your childhood friend next to you heard your statement.

"Who's Monika?" Satori's jovial voice next to you made you jump in surprise. Then his eyes lightened in realization. "Oh! Do you mean Moniko? I don't know where he went."

"O-oh," you muttered and looked down, your cheeks tinted red in embarrassment.

"Wait. How did you know that he's part of this club? I never mentioned it to you." His eyes widened, a teasing grin forming on his lips. "Do you by any chance like him? Is that why you quickly joined the club?"

You quickly looked up at him with a wide and panicked look. "N-no! I don't even know him!"

You felt a hot breath in your right ear and a unfamiliar smooth and confident voice. "Really? We're classmates last year, aren't we, Y/N?"

In surprise, you jumped to the side, accidentally knocking Satori to the ground.

Your eyes widened in panic. "Oh no! I'm so sorry, Satori!" You offered him a hand.

"All is good, Y/n!" He laughed and scratched the back of his head before taking your hand.

"I'm so sorry about that, Satori. I didn't know that she'll act that way. Ahahaha," he laughed and turned to you.

You can't help but froze at the sight of the male version of Monika in front of you. He's gorgeous. Just like the female version, he has coral brown hair, the white ribbon now missing, and his emerald green eyes made you feel that you can stare at it all day long... Ironically speaking, you actually did that at act 3 of the game, and at Monika After Story.

"I apologize for surprising you, Y/N. It really is nice to see you again." He gave you a warm smile.

"I- uh- um-" You panicked inside. Damn it! Why can't you form a coherent sentence?

"What are you looking at? If you want to say something, say it." Natsuki—or atleast what you thought is his name—spoke up.

"I-I'm sorry," you looked down, feeling dejected already. You promised yourself that you would help them, then why are you acting like some weak protagonist of an otome game? You need to keep in mind that the game's main genre was never romance, but horror.

"Naruki..." You heard the male Yuri stated.

"Hmph," Naruki—finally! You know his name—crossed his arms and turned his head to the side. You mentally rolled your eyes.

Typical tsundere.

But at least he's cute.

"You can just ignore him when he's–" you cut Satori off.

"He's the typical tsundere, isn't he?" You whispered back, not knowing how Moniko heard you, and now turned to you with wide eyes.

Satori held back his laugh. "Y-yeah." He then turned back to his club mates. "Anyway! This is Naruki, always full of energy. And this is Yuki, the smartest in the club!"

You smiled and waved at them, then you turned your head to Moniko who was already staring at you with a look in his eyes that you can't discern. It bothered you, knowing that Moniko has full control of the game.

Your confidence came back at the thought of breaking out of this game. With them. You can't act like a fool right now. You need to earn their trust.

"Hey, everyone! I'm Y/n, and it's a pleasure to meet all of you! Thank you for accepting me as a part of your club already," you smiled. Now here comes the part of your strategy that you'll surely manage to get one of the to be friends.

"When it comes to literature, I'm really a wide reader, by that I mean, I read Manhwa, and Mangas..." You saw Naruki's eyes light up—Bingo!—while Yuki frowned a bit. "When it comes to books, I'm a fan of any genres, such as fantasy, mystery, and even horror." This time, Yuki is the one who's eyes lightened up with an expectant look, the frown disappearing from his face.

Your smile grew wider at their reaction. "You really do love literature, don't you?" You turned to Moniko who just spoke up.

You nodded, not lying about what you said earlier. "I also write stories in my spare time, though I'm not good with poems, since I find it hard to understand them." You let out a nervous laugh.

Moniko patted your head and you looked up at him in surprise. "That's fine, you can learn here in the literature club."

"I'm excited for it."

You don't want to follow the script but you'll make an exception just this one for this line.

This club... is full of incredibly hot guys!!

Wait. Script...

Your mind flashed the conversation you had with them... Moniko's appearance...

LGBTQ Manga Review – Syrup: A Yuri Anthology Vol. 1

Shakaijin Yuri, stories featuring love between adult women who have left school, is a well-established corner in the Japanese Yuri market. Over the past few months, the scene started to pick up its full force in the West. English audiences are experiencing new Shakaijin series, both contemporary like Still Sick and older such as The Conditions of Paradise. For me, there are few works so prolific and intrinsic to the Shakaijin boom as Syrup. In Japanese, the subtitle reads Shakaijin Yuri Anthology. While the English release drops the subgenre's label, the content remains the same, an anthology dedicated to nothing but Yuri love stories featuring adult women from some of the Yuri industries best. However, Syrup's focus on mature and workplace stories more than piqued my interest. However, readers will likely be disappointed with this inconsistent and often forgettable anthology that is just as sour as sweet.

One of Syrup's main draws is its contributors. Some of the best in the Yuri world touched this manga, and even Western Yurijin will likely recognize a few of the names like Yukiko (Futaribeya), Itou Hachi (Kindred Spirits on the Roof), and of course Morinaga Milk (Girl Friends). It is always exciting to read a story from one of your favorites. Even I, who cares rather little for authorship, was happy to see Ohi Pikachi, who wrote the incredible Our Teachers are Dating, among the list. It also provides readers with a chance to familiarize themselves with unfamiliar creators like Amano Shuninta and Kurogane Ken, who grace the anthology with some of its best chapters.

Another benefit of having such a variety of contributors is the plethora of different art styles in the anthology. There is such a stark yet fun contrast between more mature or sensuous styles like Matsuzaki Natsumi and Ito Hachi's bubble moe characters. The manga spans almost every point between these two styles, and just flipping through the pages to look at the artwork can be a fun experience. Of course, some are more polished than others. Mochi_Au_Lait's simplistic and flat style stands as an unfortunate outlier among some other fabulous artists. However, their story, "The Cram School Teachers," is one of the funniest in the anthology. Not every story's aesthetics will suit all readers, but that is the point of a collection, to sample a wide array of talents. Fly's beautiful cover illustration wraps the fantastic art within, standing as a crown jewel of Yuri manga covers.

Unfortunately, the plot and characters are not nearly as enjoyable as the art. While a mixture of aesthetics can add to a work, different story styles often feel inconsistent. For this reason, I usually prefer collections of a single author's short stories, like Rouge Nagashiro's Eve and Eve and Morishima Akiko's The Conditions of Paradise. However, a unifying theme can often correct this issue. Sadly, a few too many of the stories seem to revel in the more "adult" allowances of adult characters and ironically created some of the most immature entries in the anthology.

Before diving too deep into the weeds of mediocrity, there are some chapters in Syrup worthy of highlight. Two of the best chapters, Shioya Teruko's "Promise" and Kurogane Kenn's "Rose Quartz" feature women in established relationships taking the next step in their relationship. Reading about these women celebrate their feelings for each other is wholesome, charming, and even sensual. The latter of the two stories is also one of the few to use adult content in a way that feels more mature. It clarifies the characters' love and attraction for each other, rather than just flashing a panel of exposed breasts for fanservice. It is great to see artists use their allowance to show a little more in profound ways while not letting it run away from them. It demonstrates admirable restraint and thoughtful writing that respects its characters.

Other interesting chapters include "Mama X Mom," which is less about the sexual relationship between two women and focuses on the character's emotional bonds in a unique situation. Ito Hachi's "First Grown-Up Love" perhaps lives up to the Syrup title the most, as it is an adorably sweet and fluffy tale of first love at adulthood. As one of the longer stories, it also has a bit more time for subtly and, thus, it includes some of the stronger and more interesting characters.

Sadly, most of the stories in Syrup are incredibly mediocre. Telling a compelling narrative with interesting characters in such a brief form, in some cases as short as six pages, is a daunting task that most chapters fail to overcome. They are utterly dull and forgetful, with characters designed with little more than maybe a job and the fact that they are interested in a woman in mind. They leave little impression, and even in the moment of reading, one finds themselves tired and wishing for the passage to end. A few tales show some modicum of potential, like Kodama Naoko's "Daily Smile," but they often end before they can get going.

A few dull chapters are acceptable, as tastes will vary, and many will enjoy some of the stories that left me utterly unenthused. However, where Syrup struggles are in its weak chapters. Some, like Yoshimura Kana's "Coward Queen," a confusing and offputting depiction of two women making a pornographic movie, and Matsuzaki Natsumi's "My Femme Fatale" revel far too much in displaying as much nudity as they can get away with before being labeled as porn. The former of these portray a lust for sadism that clashes with the rest of the primarily mundane anthology. It might even spoiler the next several chapters, as it is one of the first stories and leaves readers with immense displeasure.

There are some questionable attitudes towards boundaries and crossing lines, even outside the more salacious and exploitative stories. Depictions or descriptions of actions like staring at a woman's underwear or breasts, or awkwardly splurting out "I'm a virgin," are tossed out casually, often portrayed as romantic. Now, this manga is a work of fiction and can be enjoyed even with some more questionable aspects, as they usually are not deal breakers here. However, the dated attitudes feel like something out of an '80s comedy, not in a manga that, in all else, appears to at least attempt to hold an air of realism. This pervasive element at best makes an already struggling story worse, but it can add unpleasant notes to otherwise delightful offerings.

There is no better example of potentially compelling work squandered by its unsavory elements than Morinaga Milks "Working with an Angel." It starts pretty well, introducing readers to an entertainment agency manager with a forbidden otaku friendship with a model. However, instead of taking a more intelligent or realistic approach of the two trying to keep their growing relationship secret or a heroic, "consequences be damned," declaration of love, the story turns sleazy. The model wants to show her naked body off to the manager as the latter admits that she spies on the models while they change. Off-putting is the most generous review of this final chapter.

While Syrup: A Yuri Anthology has a few bright offerings of sweet and compelling relationship between adult women, it is incredibly bogged down by forgettable and mediocre stories. Few stories can present more than a weak premise and characters best described as "female" within their short page count. More objectionable, with a few notable exceptions, Syrup muddles its attempts to show how grown-up Yuri can by mistaking boobs and fanservice for maturity. Yes, Shakaijin stories, tales of adult women can be sexy. In fact, they should be more than willing to describe inelegance and lust; after all, for many people, that is what love is. Still, too often, Syrup forgets the heart, affection, and emotion, substituting them for cheap, uninspired story beats and characters. There are some chapters worth readers' time, but unless you are a hardcore fan of a contributor, this is an easy skip

It is challenging to award ratings for Syrup, as each story's merits vary. Some are a comfortable 8 or 9 and others a measly 2 or 3. However, the majority of the book was unobjectionable yet poorly constructed fluff, as respected in the scores below.

Dunno just though this would be fun I’m sure you guys have your own voices in mind but here how it is

This contains: talk of sex, lot of characters, yandere talk

Okay so you know yuki from fruits basket....

Make the tone louder and warmer and boom Theo

He has a very soothing voice like the type that you can hear talk for hours or fall asleep to

When annoyed or angry his voice lowers in pitch and is strained from him trying to keep from shouting

He always keeps the same tone of voice usually it’s always sweet and calm and nice

He talks very very proper like he makes sure to always sound like a gentleman

When he’s angry though he will absolutely say the word fuck or shit under his breath with a growl following it

Is the ceo of fake laughs

His fake laughs are always soft and short

His real laugh always has a shocked snort or him choking before bursting out laughing

He makes sure to cover his mouth and apologizes when he laughs cause he sees it as rude

Hikaru

Okay so as y’all know he has two sides

His stage persona voice is super sugary sweet

But don’t mistake that for hyper nope

Somehow no matter what he says it sounds like he’s smiling while talking

Never raises his voice but he does have his cracks of his real personality seeping through

With those he’ll clench his teeth

Like you know those people who speak with a fake laugh when they really wanna choke you

There are times where he has to pretend to be all cute and shy while on stage persona

His voice will get soft and sweet down to a shy little whisper

He hates doing this so there will be a slight annoyed tone in his voice that he tries to hide

When he’s pissed at you but he has to keep cool it always sounds kinda scary

“Hehe y/n my...sweet y/n, can we talk in private please sweetie?”

Normal hikaru’s voice is much deeper and cruder

Not quite bakugo tone but like just as crude and mean

Somehow always sounds like he’s one step from snarling out his words

Legit swears in every sentence

Kinda talks like a delinquent

Everything about him changes from posture to tone

He’s legit just a violent tsundere

Axis

Okay so..his voice is like ultimate sub energy

When he talks to anyone else besides you he is cheerful but also pretty normal

When it’s you..simp

You can hear the obsession in his voice. Its always sounds just absolutely happy and filled with joy

I always say that axis is like a happy puppy when he hears his darling is near

He bad mood instantly vanishes and he is just nearly squealing with joy

When he gets all bratty his cheeks puff all out and he lowers his tone making sure you know that he’s upset with you

As far as his whiny yandere side it sounds so desperate like he’s going to die if he doesn’t kiss you or hold you

I think I said this before but axis is the loudest so if you try to walk out the door or something he will scream and beg you not to go anywhere it sounds like it physically hurts to have you leave

He has a habit of hurting himself to get you to stay during these moments he would have a pathetic stutter

“I-I’m h-hurt! Y-you wouldn’t leave someone bleeding out all alone right? Right!?”

When he’s serious his tone shifts low

Not like mature low no it still has that youthful innocence but it sounds deadpan and soft like as if all feelings other than hate or anger vanished

During these moments he would say something like “stay away from my sweet perfect y/n...or I’ll kill you”

Yuri from yarichan bitch club

Okay though seriously something like him except more lower in pitch

He does slur his speech and I think I said this before but the more excited he gets the less English comes out of him

It goes from shaky toddler talking to barking and random garbled words and crazy laughing.

The only time he would talk “normal” is when he’s docile aka he’s high as hell or if he spends a large amount of time cuddles up to his darling

In that case his voice is soft though there is some stutters and crackling cause he’s not used to speaking normally

He also pauses a lot cause he’s not smart at all and words are hard

His manner of speaking is very toddler like

Words would be dumbed down and even nicknamed

Expect phrases such as “y-y/nnn, wuv wuv wuv! Ooowahhhh!” In a squealing happy tone

All in all his voice..is interesting

Prince

Prince is a fuck boy

So he sounds like a douche

Like to use the word babe and baby a lot

He honestly thinks he’s the shit so everything out his mouth comes off as cocky

His voice is kinda like those lead singers from boy bands that’s the best way I can describe it

Like those fake bad boys who are all like “yeah baby wanna smoke cigarettes in the parking lot of McDonald’s”

His voice squeaks A LOT though when nervous

Like he tries to keep his voice low and cool sounding but the moment darling flirts or gives him attention it’s just 📈📈📈

When flustered he talks in a high pitch flustered tone

It’s absolutely adorable

Takes him a while to bring it back down though

He likes to speak in Korean sometimes

It sounds so smooth when he does

He has such confidence it sounds like he’s in a kdrama or something

When things are getting steamy he likes to slow down his pacing of words and talk lower

He thinks it sounds sexy but it kinda sounds fake

It’s cause he doesn’t wanna admit that he’s a switch but whatever prince you do you boo

Prince laughing is amazing

You know Kuroo’s laugh?? Yeah take that and make it a tad bit higher and as a ton of hiccups and gasping for air and boom prince

This is why prince has a fake laugh

Like he’ll do a simple little heh. And that’s it

His voice is flat and cold

Very blunt

He mostly responds in grunts or sounds when in public with his darling

If he absolutely has to speak it’s a single word

Some would deem his voice boring and dull

He has very dry humor and this is the same with his tone of speaking

You will get simple responses from him

When he is with his darling just alone he is far more warm and sweet his voice is still barely above a whisper but it has a nice rumble to it

Even when he’s pissed it’s soft and calm sounding

He doesn’t like shouting cause loud sounds make him cry

That being said the only time he would get loud is when he cries

If something is hurting him he can’t take it for long

His voice cracks and he sounds whiny almost like he’s terrified

Just a shaky “s-stop!”

His breathing would get all intense and his words would come out as stutters as he tries to dial it back down to that soft calm tone probably adding his last response with a hush “please. Stop”

Not much to say about his voice though there is always amusement swinging within it whenever someone gets annoyed by his dry humor or antics

He can’t help but fight a smile as he tries to keep from laughing

Also! Yuki laugh is amazing

He has two different kinds he has his soft chuckles

And then his louder laughs which are still soft by normal standards but they are so filled with joy

So cute..

Rocket

Okay so even though rocket is a southern boy he will absolutely use his fake “bro” voice when meeting people you deem important cause he doesn’t wanna embarrass you

His worst fear is them seeing him as some southern loser

So his bro voice is very frat boy like

Typical college guy voice

Like stated before when flustered or angry his real voice seeps out

His real voice isn’t too deep or anything it’s very warm and happy

That southern accent though?! ✨Strong ✨

When he says darling you can feel that shit

Even him saying normal word it’s still strong as ever

It fits him so well though like his voice isn’t deep despite his height and build

When excited though he talks super fast

Another puppy boy

He is just so excited he can’t hold back his words so he’s talking a mile a minute

His tone of voice very much shows how he feels

When sad his voice is soft and hushed down to a pouty whimper as he looks down shoulders slumped and posture just spilling out sadness

When he loses that childish charm in his voice it’s usually when he’s having a breakdown

His voice sounds so weak and hurt and all his bottled up feeling explode

As far as fake laughs it’s very cookie cutter just a few ha ha’s and that’s it.

When having..steamy times his voice lowers and that childish tone is there but it’s sadistic like he’s enjoying toying with you and breaking you

The deepest voice out of all of them

Also a person with dry humor at times

His tone is much louder as he’s more comfortable and he tends to use more swears and slang

Some of his other phrases are things he’s said as a child when his family would violate him so lot of them have the word stop and no in it

He scoffs a lot and plays this very dominating role

The devil had been scratching his nose. “Now that you mention it, it sure is getting that taste of ‘same old’ after some time.”

“Right? Have you ever tried doing the same with guilty people?”

“Never really thought about it. Most of the time they either get killed immediately or we use them as life stock for Kyouhukou’s children.”

“Shame. You should try to torture them for once.” The elder succubus had flashed the devil a mischievous grin. “Nothing beats them first trying to reason with you. Some even think they can threaten a demon. But once they realize that the very thing happening to them is by some means what they were asking the fates to hand them when they behaved the way they did … “ She had tried and failed to suppress a full body shudder of excitement. “… now then they start really begging for their lives. HeartCatch.

I just finished HeartCatch and I can confirm, it’s amazing! Spoilers ahead.

It’s not perfect, obv. What does it do best? Develop individually each character, create original characters who feel incredibly fresh even nowadays, have charming side characters.

What does it do worst? Relationships between characters tend to be slightly underdeveloped. Tsubomi and Erika got it best cuz main characters. Yuri, however, has only been shown developing with Tsubomi. I wish we could see her spending more time with Momoka, Erika’s sister. She doesn’t have important interactions with Erika and Itsuki (besides telling her not to lose Potpourri and doing Fortissimo with her, which seems to be an important detail according to Marine, but). Itsuki in general feels slightly underdeveloped compared to the other three; she’s more of a background developer; you see her evolve, but not on the spotlight. Erika and Itsuki, to me, have great chemistry with Erika being so full of energy and Itsuki being so relaxed, but they don’t really have many many moments. Tsubomi, trust me, has a crush on Itsuki. Nobody can convince me otherwise. Even after she discovers Itsuki’s a girl, she still blushes around her. They have a cute relationship.

Also... before starting HeartCatch I was used to Healin Good’s interactions between Cure and fairy partner, so watching this I felt that was weak. Potpourri and Coffret got their chapters having problems with their partner, and Coffret had an amazing moment with Marine during her last fight with Kumojacky. Chypre and Tsubomi didn’t have any of this, besides being... sweet towards each other? I don’t really know what’s Chypre’s personality is. They were ok, but I wish they had more moments. Fairies’ designs are incredibly cute, tho. Potpourri is one of my favorite fairies. We saw Cologne just for a little, but I really liked him, too. He looked like a serious and snarky character, and seemed like a good partner to Yuri (even if he couldn’t convince her to get teammates). And Coupe. Coupe is amazing. His design, his human form, his relationship with Kaoruko, his dynamic with her. Everything. He scared me when he started fighting in his fairy form. I love him. And he only talks one time. Characters don’t need words to be amazing.

Villains were memorable. I loved purified Sasorina being happy as a teacher, because I really cared for her. Kumojacky was incredibly interesting with his weird strength speeches and Cobraja was funny using his Snackeys as fans. Dark Precure. That’s all I have to say. Her. I cried when she died. She just wanted to be loved by her father. She just wanted to be her true daughter. Just... her entire dynamic with Moonlight is sooo enjoyable and charming. Sometimes, I wish she’d be purified. She’d make a good tragic Cure. Sabaaku was ok, he wasn’t interesting that much until everything was revealed and it all made sense. Dune really was cruel, making a father work against his daughter while creating her a little sister and making them fight. Dune wasn’t really something. His desing was good, slightly weird. His backstory isn’t shown, but novel’s one is ok and explains many of his twisted mind things.

Fights were very good. I liked their variety of attacks, but I wish they had more to do with flowers or with their elements (Sunshine’s good, tho, she uses sunflowers). I know some people dislike Blossom’s weakness, but I actually love it. She’s the pink Cure, she should be the powerful incredible one but instead she’s weak. Even after she starts changing, she’s still weak compared to the others. But she’s not useless; her words give her teammates the strength to fight (see Yuri after she realised who Sabaaku was), she always knows what to say and it’s a natural ability. Her ideals are great. Oh, and I love how she’s so shy, I relate to her a lot. I also feel like I’m the weakest of my friends because I’m not physically strong nor fast, and I’m very introverted. I loved every single time Moonlight fighted, she’s so graceful. Desertrian’s designs were fine, they were fun but not too ridiculous. I loved the mechanic of Heart Flowers and their meanings. Things like this make every season unique. Oh, and Snackeys were incredibly fun, they had so much personality! I loved the one that got stronger and started training their teammates.

Side characters were very, very charming. I truly liked Kaoruko, Momoka, Kenji and Nanami. Kaoruko, particulary, is one of my favorite characters and I love her Cure form. She’s pretty, strong, wise and interesting. Trust me, she’s great. Overall, I liked HeartCatch’s sidestories and “filler” episodes.

Music was bestest.

Attacks were fine, not my cup of tea. I prefer something like GoPri, having each character have very different attacks. Fortissimo was really original and gimmicky, tho. And Shining Fortissimo is just... nice! They literally mix their attacks. Props to Sunshine for being the only sun cure that actually creates something similar to a sun. Orchestra was nice, too.

Movie was very interesting, too. I enjoyed it and I really liked Olivier. I wish we had more with Cure Ange, tho.

HeartCatch is a great season. All of the four main Cures are interesting. Blossom is shy and introverted, she wants to change but doesn’t fing the way to do so until she meets more people. Marine is so full of energy that she sometimes doesn’t think about others, she’s envious of her sister but overcomes it after finding out that Momoka’s jelaous of her too, and I really love how she slowly matures while not losing her charm. Itsuki is a very calm character, her main gimmick is her strange relationship with gender; she believed she had to be like a boy in order to be strong, and she didn’t want to show her love for cute things because toxic masculinity standarts...; but eventually, she realised she could be strong and like cute things. She’s so soothing and cool, but she’s not usually on the spotlight. And Yuri’s just... very well done. She’s strong, serious, centered and focused; but she has a deep trauma that she can’t overcome, until she talks with her deceased partner one last time and finally lets him go. Her tragedy doesn’t end there, tho; her father dies and her mortal enemy is revealed to be something like a blood sister, and dies too. Yet she has the strength to fight as a Precure, using love instead of hatred (she needed to heard Tsubomi’s words first, tho). And she overcame her loner problems, too; she finally accepted having teammates. I just wish she had more time to develop with Erika and Itsuki. I believe Sunshine and Moonlight could’ve been a duo.

I know some people don’t like the designs, but I personally enjoyed them. Btw, Erika with a ponytail is so pretty.

Next I’m gonna watch Maho, I think. I want to see if it’s as boring as people tend to say. I love magical things and elemental themes so... Yeah.

Oooh fun! Thank you so much for the tag @lydzisanerd This list is in no particular order. Also just want to add that this was very difficult to do because I can’t just pick one favorite from each (anime) fandom. 😢

1. Ukai Keishin - Haikyuu!!

Started off my HQ! journey crushing on Daichi (and I still do, he shares a first place with Ukai tbh), but my feelings for him randomly hits HARD when I see him rage drives back to school to get Kageyama in his little yellow car.

He’s so hardworking: running the store, farming, coaching the team, AND spends his free time coming up with strategies instead of passing out? Sure he may be grumpy at times (which I find hilarious), but I don’t blame him. Seeing all the little proud smiles, cheering and glances at his baby crows when they learn something new just gets my heart fluttering. Very husband material ✅

Like his protective dad reflex is on point ^

2. Touta Matsuda - Death Note

He’s a cinnamon roll who just wants to do something correctly for once! Honestly, everyone in Death Note has their own dark side, and having him on screen is such a treat.

I sympathize with him, I know how it feels to think that you are incompetent when you compare yourself to others, especially if you are the youngest person, and when you fear incompetence, some moves you do can end up poorly if it was done out of frustration instead of logic. But that doesn’t stop him, he keeps trying and I look up to him for that (though it gave L a big headache lol). He also just wants someone to love him 😭 Must protect.

3. Sokka - Avatar the Last Airbender

Another funny character that I love very much! It’s been a while since I’ve seen this show, so forgive me if I got somethings wrong.

He’s not a bender, but that does not stop him from continuing to grow stronger, as he later picks up sword fighting and so on. Like Matsuda, he teaches me that it is ok to feel not so great when you accidentally compare yourself to others (because his sister is freaking strong), but you should use that feeling to encourage yourself to grow in your own way; and that it is ok if your attempts are a fail sometimes.

He’s also hella cute and he actually makes me laugh.

4. Iruka Umino - Naruto

Another husband material character. Stable, kind and loving, he’s passionate about what he does and he cares about his students. Maybe I just have a thing for older responsible characters who takes care of children, who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️

And he’s a little adorably clumsy sometimes.

5. Levi Ackerman - Attack on Titans

He’s a popular character, so I’m not surprised that I ended up liking him a lot too, and I totally understand why. I’m not usually into stoic and violent characters, but after reading about his past and seeing the little gestures of protectiveness and care he does to his comrades and close friends, I respect him. Also a dad, but like, a tough love kind of dad lol.

His fights are always so badass, he moves like the wind!!

6. Hanataro Yamada - Bleach

Someone...please protect him. I love his character so much, and I know he’s usually there for comic relief, but I can’t help but smile every time he does. Another character who struggles with feeling weak and incompetent, but this boy is trying his best. He’s willing to step up to protect the ones he love even if he KNOWS he’s going to lose and is very scared. I respect that a lot, and I just want to give him the warmest hug.

Also, something about his relatively tired face and soft voice that juxtaposes his “high level” of energy and enthusiasm is hilarious to me. He’ll pull all nighters to heal his friends when they need him, he’s just someone you can rely on.

Look at him goo!! 😂

7. Seijuro Shin - Eyeshield 21

I honestly don’t know why he was my favorite from the series, I don’t really remember much about the manga tbh, since it’s been well over 10+ years since I’ve read it/seen the anime. But I remember gasping when I see him on the cover of the issue and I was staring at it for a while. One could say he was one of my earlier manga crushes?

But I recall him being a little awkward and his unawareness of his strength is hilarious.

8. F. F. - Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure, Stone Ocean

A hilarious simple minded character, or should I say Plankton, hahah! There’s so many characters in JJBA, but I just think F.F.'s (poor) attempt at being a human is funny, They also remind me to drink water every time they make an appearance, so that’s an added benefit.

9. Jean-Jacques Leroy - Yuri On Ice

Ok ok, this character gets a lot of dislikes, and the reason why I like him is deeper than the fact that he is a ridiculously attractive talented Canadian ice skater okaayy? Hear me out.

There are many times when I would cringe and get second hand embarrassment at some of the things he’s done, but he’s not really trying to hurt anyone. This man is trying to chase his dream, and prove his self-worthiness to his family and the people who supports him. And he’s also just trying to get people to eat lunch with him, dammit.

Instead of simply bathing in the love and cheer of his supporters, his people pleaser personality backfires, and the pressure of not letting people down becomes too immense. I believe he gets to where he is because he is an example of someone who feels incompetent (once again), but is never afraid to pick himself back up and keep trying.

Unlike Yuuri (Who I also really like), he doesn’t have someone like Victor to work with him on his fears technically (I know he’s engaged, but she’s not an ice skater, so all she can do is cheer from the sidelines, instead of being on ice with him). He’s devastated but it did not stop him from picking his head back up to smile and try again.

He’s just a harmless awkward people pleaser boy who does not understand how to fit in with the others, because he grew up around his big family, and that is the only world he knows how to be a part of. I think the others were a little unfair to him when they keep ignoring him. He just makes bad jokes that happens to upset Yuri, though I’m sure that if Yuri approaches him maturely and tells him how much it bothers him, he would stop and apologize.

10. Spike Spiegel - Cowboy Bebop

Tbh I never finished the show, the story telling style is just not for me, but I might try again sometime in the future. However, I kept watching it for a while because I really enjoy Spike’s characterization. He’s so relatable, especially in parts where he’s just trying to recover from his hangovers, and his fights are very entertaining to watch. I feel a sense of authenticity in him, because he acts exactly the way he wants to, and he has no shame. Also, his playful demeanor and crazy appetite is endearing.

Oh boy, are you ready for this??? I always have this need to explain my thoughts every time I receive these types of questions lol.

1. NARUTO. Honestly I am such a stupid fan girl/boy for Naruto. I shit you not, this anime saved my life. It’s stupid weird that whenever I’m feeling down or unmotivated I’d always think “what would Naruto do?” He wouldn’t be moping around having a pity party!!! Also whenever I am bringing up groceries (I live on the third floor) I always think I HAVE to make it one trip even if it means losing circulation BECAUSE NARUTO AINT WEAK. Sometimes when I think about what it’d be like if I wasn’t here anymore, I get sad because that means no more Naruto and worst of all no more SHINO.

2. Samurai Champloo. A friend at work recommended this and I was hesitant because low key seemed boring but it was and ADVENTURE. I think living in this era (although stricken with war which is bad) would be liberating. At least that’s how the anime shows it, just three pals on the road. Mugen is also BAE.

3. Banana Fish. I can’t tell you how much I cried over this anime. It’s painfully realistic, and takes place in America. I think about Shorter often...

4. Dr. Stone. Uhmmmm yes. I love. It was soooooo hard choosing a favorite character because they’re all great. I especially love Senku because although he is a genius he isn’t an arrogant asshole. He’s super supportive (I love his bromance with Chrome) and as long as someone is interested in science he’s actually encouraging. WE KNOW YOU LOVE YOUR FRIENDS SENKU YOU CANT HIDE IT.

5. Yuri on ice!!!!!!!!!!!! I don’t care how many people rag on it. I love it. This is my most watched anime of all time. It just soothes my soul. So pure and wholesome and the soundtrack is amazing. It’s calming. 10/10 recommend for managing the saddies.

6. Haikyu. I hate sports (sorry) but I love this sports anime. At first I was like eh why is everyone upset it’s just a game?!?! And now I’m crying at my screen like omg my babies, they deserve so much. They’ve grown so much as individuals and as a team and I love. I get this weird annoying urge to cry every time Daichi comes on screen and idk how to stop.

7. A silent voice. My favorite movie of all time. I cry every time. I relate to this movie quite a bit and I’m just so proud of Shoya. He was such a bratty kid but as he grew up and matured he was so respectful and kind and understanding and never blamed anyone for his problems. I CRY.

8. Assassination classroom. This was a WILD anime. It’s in my top 5 favorite animes. Every time I try to explain it’s like okay so a yellow octopus blows up the moon then comes to earth and becomes a middle school teacher and the government hires the students to assasinate their teacher. AND THE BEST PART IS THAT HE IS A GREAT TEACHER. And it sounds weird but I loved it. The character development, the art style was super different, the plot was original, the plot twists were great and Koro Sensei was just lovable. I wish they made a continuation of the show that shows Nagisa being a teacher.

9. My hero academia. How cliché right? first of I wanna say MOMO IS THE MOST UNDERRATED CHARACTER HOW ARE YOU GUYS NOT OBSESSED WITH HER. She’s beautifully drawn, she’s a genius and she has the best quirk. Bnha has the greatest movies. I saw the most recent “heroes rising” in theater last week and I’m totally gonna see again tomorrow and I’m not even sorry. Also the first bnha movie was so great I went home and immediately bought it. Just saying.

10. It’s a tie between two of my favorite comedies. Asobi Asobase because SAME GIRL SAME. I’m Hanako and I’m not sorry. I’m the super weird one and my fashion sense is wack and it’s great and I’m happy. It’s so entertaining and their facial expressions have me DYING. 10b. Shimoneta. This anime about risqué content and dirty jokes. Could you imagine living in a society were you couldn’t make a dirty joke?? How awful. This is a really interesting and hilarious anime that surprisingly has a romantic aspect. The opening is also one of my favorite because Tanukichi is adorable and I low key enjoy his crime fighting outfit of choice 👀
