given that i’ve just revamped my marvel ocs, i figured it was time to share the casting for my personal version of the mcu! please note that this is a combination of my own ideas for recasts and popular castings that i’ve seen on other platforms, and also that not every character has been included here because there are several that i like with the actors currently portraying them. you all can definitely feel free to use any and all of these for yourselves!

Lets recast the mcu as AoT characters!

Is Erwin automatically Captain America? Is Levi, Iron Man? Is Mikasa or Annie, Black Widow?

Based on abilities and looks some might seem obvious but there's more under the surface. Help me recast! Let's have some fun!

I might have a full set of clown makeup on but god damn I'm really hoping that Marvel execs scrapping Daredevil Born Again and starting from scratch, and the new creative team reporting that they've been watching the OG series for inspiration...I'm so really hoping that they bring back Deb and Elden as Karen and Foggy.

Charlie, Deborah, and Elden just worked SO SO well together. And if you bring back Jon as Frank Castle and Vincent as Fisk and Charlie as Matt, it's just so fucking unfair if Deb and Elden get left in the dust. Particularly, like, Karen Page was also made super important to the Punisher show, let alone Daredevil. Why the hell would you leave her out while bringing the boys she's connected to back?

And with the Defenders shows now all on Disney+, AND being added to its MCU timeline, it'd be a really dumbass decision to nuke the heart of what made the Daredevil show incredible. It wasn't all Matt being broody by himself. It was Nelson, Murdock, and Page, their connections, their sacrifices, their victories. Their love.

And god damn did they get fucked over with the cancellations. They ALL deserve to come back.

I'm hoping so hard that Foggy and Karen come back with Elden and Deborah. It won't be Daredevil without them, especially with everyone else. It'll be like leaving two gaping holes unfilled.

I think like he sold his soul to the devil, and he turns into this flaming skull dude. And I think he was like a stunt guy or something, right? I don’t really know what he does otherwise. Fight people I guess since he’s in Marvel.

Hhmmm let’s see here. I really don’t know who would be a good choice here. Especially trying to think of someone not already in the MCU 😂😂

I think my top three contenders for this role would be: Mark Wahlberg, Ryan Gosling, and Chris Pine.))

Naur but fr, a while ago I talked about buying one of the dw audio dramas & one of my friends was like "Would you pay money for supernatural audio dramas?" and I was like "Only if they include the devil having sex with sam" lmao

the cw could be making bank right now and they don’t even know it.

seriously, though, they could literally just go ‘eh these are as canon as the tie-in novels/comics (which is to say, only canon as long as you want them to be)’ and do whatever the hell they want with the universe. i would listen to a spn audio drama! i would! would they be any good? probably not lmao but id be fascinated by them!

(and a sidenote because i was thinking about it but also like. if the original actors didn’t want to come back to play their parts in audio dramas. well, first of all, half the characters are angels that have been played by multiple people already so it’s literally not a problem, give them a new vessel and go to town, but also also: like. just recast sam and dean. do it. give new people a chance to give their twist on the characters. i want to see what they come up with.

sorry lmao im just very, very pro-give these characters to new actors to get new takes on how they behave. i feel like that’s something you only get in shakespeare plays, star trek reboots, and the doctor being a new guy ever few years. it should be more common! less trapping actors in roles for decades and more giving new people turns at the wheel!)
