JUST ADMIT THAT YOU STOLE THE STORY FROM GURUGIRL'S ASK! because she got the ask-today, or yesterday, and you stole the idea from her
I DIDN'T!!! 😭😭😭 why would you think that?! I don't even know she got an ask for something like that.
plus, she got the ask 1 day ago, and there's no way I could've written 6.5k words in 1 day girlie 😭😭

#3 for the Pedro questions. I want to make you choose.
Right in with a hard one!
Max Lord or Max Phillips?
This was tough until I tried to be logical about it. Phillips would probably kill me, so Lord it is! I do love them both.
Marcus Pike or Marcus Moreno?
Both cute, good, reliable men, but Pike uttered the line "I think you're a hell of a good-looking woman." and I didn't think a Pedro character could ever turn me off, but that did it.

was talking with a friend about how some of dunmeshi fаndom misunderstands kabru's initial feelings towards laios.
to sum up kabru's situation via a self-contained modernized metaphor:
kabru is like a guy who lost his entire family in a highly traumatic car accident. years later he joins a discord server and takes note of laios, another server member who seems interesting, so they start chatting. then laios reveals his special interest and favorite movie of all time is David Cronenberg's Crash (1996), and invites kabru to go watch a demolition derby with him

I have some questions about karaoke night, Alex Hirsch. Very Important Questions. Which I will happily scream at a poor hapless baby triangle who can have no answers for me, and possibly also does not have object permanence yet.
Follow-up that is I guess suggestive, but let's be real here, Bill's a fucking triangle:
Dude slipped right into his birthday suit, lmao
this is so stupid :D
Anyway, I don't care what anyone says, this brilliant individual knows what's up - Bill is absolutely way more of a monsterfucker than Ford could or ever will be, full stop.

I don't know how strictly accurate this is, but one of the things I find shocking about watching historical dramas is how many people there are around all the time---according to Madame de... (1953) a well-off French household in the Belle Epoque maintains a workforce of at least 3, and the glittering opera has staff just to open doors. According to Shogun (2024) you can expect a deep bench just to mind your household, and again, people who exist to open doors.
Could people....not open doors in the past? Were doors tricky, before the standardization of hinges? Because otherwise, the wealthy used to pay a whole bunch of people to do it for them in multiple contexts, and I find myself baffled.

I just saw a Tik Tok that said writers on AO3 are not looking for constructive criticism in their reviews. I have no audience on this platform so I have to know if this is true? I've always left my pros and cons when reading a fic and now I'm concerned that the authors didn't like that.
Yeah writers are Not looking for criticism, constructive or otherwise. Unless they specifically ask for it, it’s considered rude and honestly a bit hurtful. In the least bitchy way possible, don’t do that. It’s unwanted.

Thoughts on getting amputated so you can be a better punching bag?
Silly anon, punching bags aren't as fun as someone who can fight back.
Something like that would leave me a shell (kind of mmm yeah okay), so I would have to fight tooth and nail to stop it from happening. Begging, pleading, prostrating myself if neccessary.
But if I'm going to fight tooth and nail, you'd best be prepared for the tables to turn on you.
I'm not going to just let myself end up an asanagi victim. That's part of the fun.
