Do you know why she is honored as goddess? Bedridden for a long time due to her incomplete celestial roots... a deity everyone thought could not be saved... Lord Xingzhi came to take to the Extranatural Heaven. And cured her. Therefore, the Divine Realm's Heavenly Lord gave her a title: Luotian Goddess – blessings from the sky. The girl blessed by the [ancient] gods.
I drew this between 12:40 and 2:30 last night and cried my eyes out the entire time
More "What Was Stolen" fanart, is anyone surprised? 😂😭
@beeextraordinary123 I listened to the playlist y'all crafted for the story and the song "Hold Me Closer" hit me HARD. As shown by the lyrics in the art, those lines are what inspired this.
It's the scene after they finally kiss and Amy calls him "love" and it startles him into realizing what's going on, and then he realizes he's in tears and AUGH THE PAAIINNN. 😭😭
I think there is something interesting about Yharnam seemingly being stuck as a pre-industrial city. It does have the typical neo-gothic 19th century architecture, but we don't really see anything that could point to factories or anything that implies mass manifacturing. Hell, we even get to the outskirts of the city where there is Hemwick, which is implied to be a centre of production but it's all also very rural? And all of the weapon manifacturing we see is in private workshops made by specialists, but never factories
Just an interesting tidbit of worldbuilding showing how much the isolationism and xenophobia affected the city
how dare you call yourself a noob when you have 1700 hours of playtime? hypocrite /j
Well how dare you assume I don't suck?? (╯`□′)╯
(Long rant below-)
Also, have you played on an Asian server before? Cuz we only have 2 types of regular players here. They are either someone who just installed the game, or someone who has like 4k hours on pick classes alone.
Hop on TF2 during the weekends, join an HK server, and find me one Sniper or Spy who doesn't immediatly eliminate you the milisecond your hitbox meets their crosshair- I'll pay you a dollar if you do. They literally choose to play against bots and cheaters for sport, and they can still win.
When I queue with my friends they're always like "Glycine is below 2k hours but at least we can trust her with basic medic stuff". Our TF2 community is basically rich art major kids who study from home and spend 6 hours on competitive shooters on a daily basis, or desperate postgraduates like me trying to squeeze in some playtime between dissertation and unpaid internship. BUT the amazing thing is that we still maintained this easygoing and wholesome vibe despite the noticable competitiveness, because TF2 players are just chads like that.
The fact that I have played 1700+ hours and is somehow still incapable of rollout jumping and performing airshots brought shame to my family. I'm confident to say I am a certified noob in a way and it's not hypocrisy. That's just me being your below-average Asian.
Fanwork creators self rec! When you get this, reply with your five favorite fics/art/podfics/etc. that you've made, then pass on to others. Let’s spread the self-love! 💖💖
Ooh, yay! :D
oh, how to pick, how to pick...
Ok, #1 is obvious. It's the Time Heals 'Verse (76k words, not completed yet)
It's a time travel fic where a warrior artist is yoinked back about 25ish years into the past and gets adopted by a mythical mysterious legendary shadow monster and the most stressed out man in the galaxy. Also, there's a clone named Shipper.
The rest, in no particular order...
#2. 2AM pancakes (and other kinda romantic moments) (9k words, completed)
This is a sabezra modern AU oneshot and it has possibly my favorite love confession I've ever written. Also, there's dancing in the rain. and pining. so much pining.
#3. the Teenage Rebellion AU! (22k words, not completed yet)
Wherein Ezra and Mara and several other characters are Inquisitors, Sabine is political guest (aka hostage) on Coruscant and has questionable taste in men, Tristan ran off with the Rebels, Luke is a Naberrie, and Leia Has Beef!
#4. Sabine Wren's Guide to the Mythical and Mysterious: On Merfolk Kisses, The Untimely Occurrences And Interruptions Thereof (16k words, completed)
A Mythical Creatures AU, where Sabine and Ezra cuddle, read each other's diaries, and make fun of their past selves. I'm most proud of the worldbuilding in this one cause there is a LOT of it!
#5. Hmmm... Oh, so hard to choose one last one! But, okay, I'm gonna cheat a little and say it's either my medieval royalty AU or the lifeswap AU, neither of which are posted but I have plenty of rambles and snippets shared on Tumblr!
[ dying breath ] sender talks to receiver before dying (You wanted angst. Here you go. Possible, far into the future (hopefully not))
The dragonborn leaned down on his knees on the damp ground, hard to tell if it was water or blood that had made it so, and moved his hands slowly on Eive's body, lifting her ever so slightly.
She was dying, and there was no saving her, her wounds were open and blood had run low in her veins.
"I am here, Eive...", he spoke softly as he gazed into her. There was pain in his expression, sorrow, but also hard, pragmatic understanding...they both knew this could happen. They both did. The war would be won, but she wouldn't be here to see it to the end.
She used her last strength to speak to him, to tell him of her appreciation, to apologize for leaving this world first....for feelings she kept inside. And a plea, to not hunt down her killer, to not exact revenge.
The dragonblood heard it all without interrupting, and finally leaned his forehead on hers.
"You silly girl....you're so lucky I got here on time...", he sighed heavily and reached for his pocket, pulling out a red vial, opening it and pouring it in her lips.
"As long as you still draw breath, I won't let you die, I think I told you so many times already...
Your advanced technology is wondrous, but magic is called so, because it rewrites the world." She would feel her most mortal of wounds close, and despite the intense pain, the breath would not leave her lungs for a final time.
"I'll scold you so much later...imagine if I was two minutes too late..." He stood on his feet, pulling her in his arms alongside him.
Idk if I've complained about this on here before, but it drives me up the fucking walls how male isekai stories mainly have the protagonist doing and accomplishing great things in the "outside world" while female isekai stories have the protagonist healing from past trauma and/or dealing with family matters (even political dealings)... like, even if the female protagonists are in the public sphere, it reeks of "public vs. domestic spheres" and "women belong in the kitchen/home. "
I think with Dracula I've reached the saturation point of loving it so much that I've ruined my ability to watch any adaptation like I simply have too many strong opinions about all aspects of the story no one who isn't me could come up with a version that hits all my adaptational preferences. I've flown too close to the sun.
About five years ago my friends and I went to medieval times and during the pre-show watched a grown man in very distressed jeans and a white studded belt join in the knighting ceremony alongside the other eight year old birthday boys, except in his case the king pulled a woman from the crowd and had her (reluctantly) participate. While this man was on his knees swearing fealty to the king of medieval times, witnessed by seventeen eight year olds and their families, he pulled out a ring box and proposed to what turned out to be his girlfriend.
