Becoming increasingly convinced that high-speed rail might be the only economically viable (megacorp and politicapitalism friendly…) thing that can drastically lower the cost of living for everyone while additionally massively increasing general economic gains and aide in scientific and knowledge seeking innovations.
Between high speed rail, nuclear energy, and hydrogen development, we would could seriously launch this planet into the future at breakneck speeds.
I mean, you got his dabbling in dark magic corrupting him from a ruler who makes selfish decisions behind his benevolence. One could liken him to how Walt Disney likely started out with decent intentions for art on top of money.
However, those calling out his unfair working conditions as has been historically documented show that he became a lot more about business than about letting artists flourish. A baton that has clearly been passed from each CEO to the next.
I mean, Asha's posse and their song would totally be what would've been sung during the Hollywood Strike. The big bad is even defeated not by one lone hero rising against the odds but the whole kingdom coming together in solidarity. In a union, you might say.
It's honestly a good take on acknowledging that Disney's founder wasn't exactly squeaky (wink, wink) clean the more he ran the show.
Furthermore, the Wishes here feel like IPs here. Some are granted and allowed to flourish. Many others are rejected and hoarded even. Why hoard when you could keep back? Well, the king though Saba's wish to inspire with music could spark a rebellion against him.
A real life analogue could be that of the Disney Vault where certain stories aren't sold anymore because of taxes they can totally afford to pay but don't want to because that's... beneath them.
Even more pointly are other companies creating their own vaults for shows that don't even get the dignity of going out and getting cancelled for their own shortcomings. Returning certain IPs, ones not born from studio heads first, back to the original creators would also increase competition that a megacorporation would fear.
I mean, we rave about The Amazing Digital Circus now but it's only one in a long line of small studios and small creators working not within a studio system that's liable to screw them over. Rather they take their Wishes and work their own magic.
Introducing the Fictional Megacorpotation Tournament!!
We've gathered ten of the greediest, most unethical, most vicious, and most Stupendium worthy companies in gaming!
I had a lot of intros written out but Tumblr decided it doesn't like fun and deleted all of them.
So... Make your own! You have until 12:00 PM EST on the upcoming Friday to submit arguments for the megacorp you think should win through asks.

Regent Designs International (name and logo not intended to mirror any real-world company) is a megacorporation specializing in "fauxury" goods. Which is to say, they make the most stylish looking bargain bin products on the market. Whether it be clothes, cars, personal weaponry, or even cyberware, their trademark is cheaply made products with low-cost components, but designed by experts to look like high-end goods. With slogans like, "Everyday Elegance", "Designer You Can Afford", and their famous automotive slogan of "Runs fine. Looks Great." they make no secret of what their business is, earning them the derision of high society, but a loyal customer base consisting mostly of low-ranking corpos looking to show off, and private mercenaries looking to blend in on a budget.
They are actually one of the most environmentally friendly megacorporations, with the majority of their products being made all or partially out of recycled materials. While Regent boasts this as a selling point of their company, the truth is that it has more to do with cutting deals with a number of waste disposal companies as a way to keep material costs down. It also means that, more often than not, it is both simpler and cheaper to simply replace items that wear out or get damaged than try to replace them. In spite of this, there is actually a thriving business in aftermarket modifications for Regent electronics and vehicles, even though this sometimes means simply replacing the internals altogether.
Added a uniform for the lion anthro. The idea came to me while I was playing Stellaris and playing as a megacorp.
The nation called the United Peacekeepers as it is a Fanatical military/materialistic nation that focuses on conflict prevention and expansion of its territory. Run by Chief Commanding Officer Justin Ruiz, this growing nation has been run by his family for generations.
Though a partially materialistic nation, they have been known to shift to spiritualistic from recent discoveries of their past and new discovery of physic abilities.
(Character bio) Ms. Katherine Lee, Eon Corp. CEO. Hundreds of years old, her youthful appearance is from being an elf and steady use of the best nanomeds money can buy. She started as a virtual world designer and slowly worked her way to the top of the megacorp through a gritty combination of luck, once-in-a-generation talent, ambition, and, if the whispered rumors were true, murder and blackmail. Eon Corp. has been doing well financially this year thanks to profits from its virtual pet division, with fantasy pets like Draco Jr. setting records. Recently launched virtual worlds include Michi, a retro anime world, and Calypso, a tropical science fiction planet. - #elfart #elvesofinstagram #virtualrealityart #aiartworks #megacorp #aiartfamily #aiartcommuinity #fantasyfashion #fantasyfashiondesign (at Nova City) https://www.instagram.com/p/CmvVJEUJi6r/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
