Longan dragon and black pearl fankid?İ made called longanpearl aka longan dragon x black pearl

Here we are, this is Melo Melo Cookie

So the name comes from this particular pearl, the melo melo pearl. I don’t recall how I stumbled upon it, other than I think I was looking up stuff for an Oyster request, but basically it’s this pearl that’s formed from a sea snail, the melo melo snail. They’re also apparently extremely rare and valuable. I picked that for the longanpearl kid since it’s a pearl like Black Pearl, but also because of the orange-yellowish color of the pearl for Longan. Also I’ve heard it has some association with dragons, but I’m not entirely sure. But more fuel for it being for Longan, instead of originally the Black Pearl/Timekeeper kid

Melo melo pearl:

So I’ll be honest, I think her colors look too much like Longan and not enough like Black Pearl, and in general they don’t look too much like Black Pearl. But the more orange color scheme of Longan just worked better for Melo Melo given her basis. Though I mean, I did try to give her a more saturated dough tone than Longan, since Black Pearl’s seems more saturated. This was the thing I mentioned earlier that held me back from finishing them, but I decided screw it, just finish it now

I gave her a tail without fins and those side bits because the melo melo pearl comes from a sea snail, so it was supposed to emulate that. I also debated giving them a giant shell backpack, but eventually I thought it made the design look too cluttered, so I got rid of it

Since her hair is covering most of her front, I wasn’t sure where her gem would be, but I ended up putting one at the back of their head, and it’s supposed to be like something holding her hair together. Whether that’s just a hairpiece or her actual gem, I’m not sure. And that’s also the reason her front looks so plain in the sketch, I kind of forgot that was the reason there wasn’t anything there when I first drew it, so I just didn’t give them anything

Also since the hair obscuring most of the front was drawn first, a lot of other design elements were done around that, hence the lack of detail in her clothes and why I don’t actually really know how her dress works. I was just trying to make it not look like Primordial Sea from way back when

Her dress probably should have also been semi-transparent, but I didn’t end up doing that. Ah well, I don’t know if it looks better one way or the other

I feel like I’m complaining a lot about her design, but in truth I actually really like it

(Also I’m not entirely sure I’m making it clear, but Melo Melo’s supposed to be she/they. Just wanted to clarify, since I’m not entirely sure how that sort of thing works)

Well in any case, let’s talk about her

So despite Longan and Black Pearl’s hatred of Cookies, Melo Melo finds herself fascinated by them, and all the things of theirs that she finds in the ocean. Sort of like Ariel in the Little Mermaid, only Melo Melo is a little kid. Whether their more optimistic views of Cookies are put to the test, I’m not sure. But for now, they’re just a little kid who thinks Cookies sound neat and doesn’t understand their hatred of them

Also, as shown in one of the sketches, Melo Melo has an alternate form, and can turn into a large sea serpent (I fully admit, I just threw something together, since I wasn’t really sure how to translate their design into a sea serpent. I’m not good at creature designs, though maybe one day I’ll draw a better one for them). She’s also the child of Black Pearl and Longan, so safe to say she’s incredibly powerful. If not yet, when she’s older. Perhaps when she’s older, they’ll be known as the Melo Melo Serpent, and fearsome beast that’s said to guard some of the most valuable pearls known to Cookie kind (melo melo pearls), yet no one has ever been able to come close to defeating it, and for some being revered as some sort of deity

Maybe they can create melo melo pearls of their own, given her extreme power. That’d be interesting

Little fires...everywhere

Papa is putting his Level 8 Parenting skills to the test after a long days work. After picking the girls up from school, He wanted to take them to the splash park and for ice cream, since it was nice out but the little misses had other plans.

Eden threw a tantrum as soon as they made it into the house and kicked her big sister in the shins after being called an alien...

[Like clockwork, Monet was sucking all over Melo's neck once he got in the house (its literally her FAVE thing to do...anyway). Meanwhile, I hear GeGe and Eden fussin'...as I pan the camera over, E is kicking her sister whilst throwing a tantrum. These girls wild out at their mom's house...but Melo does not play that. Sidenote: She somehow changed her outfit but we're gonna ignore that]

After calming little stinka mamas down with huggies (his hugs are her fave) and teaching her to not have meltdowns...

Little Miss Sunshine took it upon herself to make several messes on their kitchen floor, which got her grounded from watching TV for the rest of the day. They had a nice little talk & He influenced her to clean up her mess.

But of course He had to take a moment to brush his shoulders off...C'mon A1 parenting. 🤣

As soon as he turned around to grab a snack, there was a tiny little tap on his leg. Little Mama had finally calmed all the way down and wanted ALL his attention. She babbled about toys and tried to convince him to give her a cookie...but he decided to read her a story instead while they wait for dinner. Needless to say, she's wasn't here for it. That was not apart of her plan.

Dad: 1 // Eden: 0

After dinner, Papa checked in on babygirl as she woke up from her nap (ready to see him of course) and Monet brought Eden upstairs to play with her dollhouse.

As the house began to wind down for the night...

GeGe felt the need to air out her grievances..."Dad! The little alien broke my dollhouse"...

While Papa stepped right in to save the day, Monet dramatically got all the tea on why the little alien broke it in the first place.

I can't with him. W Dad!

I can't with her. Meanwhile, She's all like "my man, my man, my man"...until he received a phone call from Marguerite that she would be there in 25 minutes

I from what I read, Clara likes plants too and loves gardening! I think they’d have a good time gardening together and talking about plants and all that good stuff lol!

I also think they would definitely get together and have tea and cookies and little snacks in the underworld or in the owl house universe (sldhkdhd I’m so sorry I forgot what the place is called I literally only watched like the first 3 episodes of the show 😂😅)! Carmelo Hayes x Reader Warnings: None Word Count: 1,033 Summary: A little Christmas fluff for the last few hours of Christmas left! 

You made your rounds throughout the night, making sure everyone was taken care of, no empty cups, no empty plates, no frowns around you. 

It kept you busy and kept your mind off everything else around you. As long as you could help someone else smile for a minute you would forget that you were doing all of this alone. 

But it didn’t stop you from occasionally looking out the window, trying to see if his car had pulled up among the herd of vehicles, or if you could try and find his voice among the crowd. 

You couldn’t find either, so you kept moving. 

The kitchen was the only quiet spot in the entire house. You’d pulled the doors shut and leaned against the fridge, trying to stop yourself from falling asleep right there. 

You dropped your head into your hands, wishing everyone would just leave already so you could crawl into bed and sleep for the next three days. 

At least then he’d be back with you when you woke up. 

“Don’t tell me we’re out of gingerbread cookies.” 

Your head shot up, looking at him still in his puffy coat and beanie. 

“When did you…” 

“I’ve been driving for five hours and the only thing that’s been keeping me going is that I’d get a cookie from you at the end of it,” Carmelo said, walking towards you, holding a hand out for you. 

“You didn’t call me,” you said, taking his hand. 

He pulled you up gently, until you were pressed up against him. 

“I didn’t think I’d make it in time,” he said, softer this time, “I didn’t wanna let you down.” 

You sighed, resting your forehead against his, 

“You could never,” you said, quietly. “How did you know I was in here?” you asked. 

He shrugged, 

“I walked inside and I didn’t hear your voice and I figured you went to hide,” he said. 

You pulled back to look at him, 

“I’m so glad you made it,” you said, leaning up to kiss him. 

He pulled his head back, though, leaving you to pout. 

“Come on,” you whined. 

He shook his head, still smiling at you, while he fished something out of his pocket. 

“Can’t do that without this,” he said, pulling a flower out. 

“Is that supposed to be mistletoe?” you asked. 

He dropped his head slightly, laughing, 

“You know how hard it is to find mistletoe?” he asked. “I thought this might be better,” he said, holding a single rose above your heads. 

“I’ll take it,” you said, leaning in again, kissing him softly. 

It was a small kiss. 

There were still guests outside, and still work left to do before the night was over. 

You’d have him to yourself for a few more days, you both knew that. 

There was no need to rush it. 

“I have something for you,” he said, quickly, pulling back. 

“Nope, you gotta save it, put it under the tree or something but not-”

“Nah this is for tonight, I got tomorrow covered,” he said with a wink. 

“Carmelo…” you started, 

“Just,” he said, cutting you off, “open it.”  

From inside his jacket he pulled out a small box, loosely wrapped in newspaper and handed it to you. 

You stared at him, though, your hand resting in his, holding the little box. 

“This doesn’t look like a new car,” you teased. 

“Won’t know til you open it,” he said, quietly, leaning in closer. 

You shook your head and finally took the box from him and almost opened it. 

But your heart beat too fast for you and even in his arms you felt as though you were going to fall, and so you spoke without thinking, 

“If this is what I think it is then Melo I swear to god I didn’t mean that you had to go out and get me a damn ring I just-” 

“Hey!” he said, pulling your face up to look at him. 

He smiled softly as his eyes traveled over you, his thumb on your chin. 

“You just gotta open it, okay? Trust me.” 

And you did. 

Of course you trusted him. 

So you took another deep breath, still looking up at him, and nodded. 

He nodded right back at you, and you opened the box. 

And for a moment you smiled, just before you burst out laughing. 

“See?” he said, smirking. 

Inside was a small ceramic honey bee ornament looped onto a yellow ribbon. 

“A honeybee!” you exclaimed, pulling it out to examine it in the light. 

“I saw it in a store and I thought of you. You’re always talking about starting a honeybee farm and stuff…” he said. “And it’s why I wanted to get here tonight, so that you could still put it on the tree.” 

“I love it,” you said, quietly, holding it gently in your hands, scared that it might break with even the most gentle touch. 

You looked back up at him, holding the ornament tight and safe in your hands. 

“Thank you so much,” you said, kissing him again. 

“It’s for our first Christmas tree,” he said, looking down at it in your hands. “I wanted an ornament that was ours. Something that made it feel like ours.” 

A few tears escaped, but all you could do was kiss him again. 

“I love you so much,” you whispered against him. 

“Love you more,” he replied, just as softly. 

He pulled back, his thumb wiping the stray tears away. 

“We should get out there,” he said. 

“Wait!” you said, grabbing his arm before he could pull away. 

“Can we just…” you started, looking away from him. “Can we just stay here? Just for another minute?” 

He smiled, smoothing your hair back, 

“You got it,” he said, kissing your forehead, and hugging you tight. 

All the while, you kept the honeybee ornament tucked safely in your hands, the mere presence of it making you smile harder than you had all day. 

The guests outside didn’t matter, the ornaments you had hung up in the past few weeks weren’t nearly as important anymore. 

All that mattered was you, Caremlo, and your little honey bee. 

It was yours, together.
