I posted about this silly little experimental page a few days ago and was not expecting so many people to be interested in it. It's a very simple page and was basically already done, so I'm releasing it!

There is no JS used in this page (the popups are done with CSS), so you do not need to wait for permission to be able to use it.

Hi, everyone.

I'm Seera*, and I stumbled across the whump tumblr community a few weeks ago. I've basically been reading it nonstop since. It seems like the BBU and pet whump in general are the hot thing at the moment, and I am absolutely loving several of the on-going stories there.

AND, whump got me writing again! I haven't written, like, anything for the longest time, and over the past week I've written and [over]edited about 5,000 words in an original world. That's a small number, but it's huge to me!

I'm still trying to figure out exactly what tags mean what, and where the NSFW lines etc lines are drawn. I'm also trying to pin down some defintions in my head, because I'm not sure if what I'm writing is whump, exactly and I want to tag correctly.

About me: I'm an adult American ciswoman. I work in technology, so I can see I'm going to get very frustrated with tumblr's limitations pretty quickly. (But, at least l'm having a little fun messing with the themes here.)

I want to thank this post at @iwhumpyou 's blog. I'd figured out most of it on my own, but having it in a handy guide when I got over my cold feet and signed up for tumblr and then forgot it all was so useful.

Footnote 1: * I'm reclaiming an old internet name from over about two decades ago and trying it on to see if it still fits. We'll see.

i'm begging you guys to start pirating shit from streaming platforms. there are so many websites where you can stream that shit for free, here's a quick HOW TO:

1) Search for: watch TITLE OF WORK free online

2) Scroll to the bottom of results. Click any of the "Complaint" links

3) You will be taken to a long list of links that were removed for copyright infringement. Use the 'find' function to search for the name of the show/movie you were originally searching for. You will get something like this (specifics removed because if you love an illegal streaming site you don't post its url on social media)

4) each of these links is to a website where you can stream shit for free. go to the individual websites and search for your show/movie. you might have to copy-paste a few before you find exactly what you're looking, but the whole process only takes a minute. the speed/quality is usually the same as on netflix/whatever, and they even have subtitles! (make sure to use an adblocker though, these sites are funded by annoying popups)

In conclusion, if you do this often enough you will start recognizing the most dependable websites, and you can just bookmark those instead. (note: this is completely separate from torrenting, which is also a beautiful thing but requires different software and a vpn)

you can also download the media in question (look for a "download" button built into the video window, or use a browser extension such as Video DownloadHelper.)

Hi all! So uhhhhh I used Mermay to explore Sobek's more hybrid features in DEITIESProject >>

This form is something that Sobek -- and most deities -- can canonly take with transformation magic, it fall under the category of hybrid features. Though I'm not sure whether this makes him look more like a "merfolk" or a "centaur" (or both? both ✨).

That said, I feel like every time I draw a crocodilian I have to relearn it all over again, esp. their body markings and scales/scutes -- it's fun, just never very consistent. But I've learned a few new tricks to get Sobek's croc form closer to that "semi-realistic but still stylized/cartoony" look I'm aiming for.

Also! I traded his usual feathered headdress for the horned variant -- originally for the sake of reducing negative space and cropping, but I actually like this look on him too!

we watched the menu tonight. all around good movie. love the service worker solidarity. love the fact that the girl was a sex worker and when asked if she liked her work she said yes (she used to at least). loved the framing of the dishes served like it's a basic cooking show on food network and not a big screen thriller. I will never watch chopped the same ever again. I am now craving a cheeseburger.
