Thinking about how when I was in middle school I thought I was the most original person in the world for coming up with the idea of cave elves in some intense political fantasy story I was writing only to find out that I did not in fact come up with the concept of cave elves and the high political drama of elves bring displaced and crammed into cities and discriminated against was literally exactly the setup of dragon age origins
#i was soooooooo mad when i played dao the first time bc i was like FUCK MY IDEA ISNT ORIGINAL ANYMORE#my world was basically dragon age but closer to the industrial revolution and with cave elves instead of regular elves#they were displaced from the caves they lived in because the surrounding cities wanted to mine for raw materials bc of the new high need for#metals due to the changing technology#so after displacing the elves they then hired all the elves as extremely underpaid and exploited miners#my story took place one generation later so now theres a bunch of cave elves who were born in the city and their perceptions of home are#different from their parents bc theyve only ever known the caves as a source of money and also torment#but thats all just the backdrop for the actual story that would be taking place which was all about learning to trust and finding a personal#identity once you heal from your traumas

˖ . ݁𝜗𝜚. ݁₊𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐣𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐧
⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨: this OC is an OC I’ve written for my own amusement. He’s the son of Harley Quinn and joker. Full name, Jacklyn Oswald Quinn. Im only a writer so you can imagine who he looks more like but all I can is he is handsome canonically in my head and anything. Boy’s crazy but handsome. Although, these aren’t really headcannons I suppose as this is what happened to him as my OC.
Let’s state this off here, the reason why Jason and him don’t get along is of course due to joker. Joker killed Jason, and joker having a son that literally had sprayed green hair made Jason livid. But the only thing Jack and Jason have in common is hating joker after Jack starts to live with Harley more. They also hate each other because personally, they’ve both been traumatized by joker.
Jack has been choked out aggressively by joker, his own father who didn’t and doesn’t see him as a son but as a tool. Due to Jack being young and disrespecting joker, joker had choked Jack out, straining his voice as the young boy screamed. Harley had to get involve. That’s why Jack lives with Harley. And yes that’s why his voice is always raspy and hoarse.
Yes, Jack is a natural Yandere for batsib!reader. In all universes or multiverses. He is possessive and obsessive over the poor Wayne.
Jack never once cared for himself, leading to him looking emotionless at times with dull blue eyes. But once batsib!reader started to care for him, he’s been putting effort to not make them worried.
After joker was fully secured into Arkham Asylum, that’s when he fully changed as he took out the dye from his hair to be a blonde like his mother. He is a naturally blonde but it gets mistaken as time as dirty blonde.
He has a scar on his lip due to one of your batarang’s hitting his lip.
The reason for his real name being “Jacklyn” is because he was supposed to be a girl only for him to come out a boy. (Yes you can also headcannon him as transmasc. That’s fine)
He’s a creep at times, but that’s okay. It’s not like he knows all of batsib!reader passwords or anything to get into their phone and put his number in.
He’s smart, he isn’t dumb. He knows a lot about technology and explosives.
He mostly likes to be like his mother, wanting to have her color palette so he can forget that he’s ever joker’s son, and just harley’s son.
Jack is very flexible, him and dick has competed before. You can guess who won it.
Damian doesn’t like Jack, but he doesn’t despise him as much as Jason does. As long as he keeps his sibling happy, he’s fine with the boy.
Is homeschooled, would love to go to Gotham academy, but what’s the point when he’s the son of the worse criminal in the world that killed lives.
He loves rock and metal music, don’t even get him started.
It’s obvious he’s a momma’s boy, he said it himself once
But in the end, he’s a crazed boy that had a fucked up life and is trying to be redeemed.

what if!!! hear me out 🙏🙏 yuu was a robot/miku inspired…IT SUCKS but like…miku kinda..yuu mikyuu…😓😓
Sure no worries, no judgement from me, ask and you shall receive
𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐈𝐅 𝐘𝐔𝐔 𝐈𝐒 𝐀 𝐑𝐎𝐁𝐎𝐓 🤖👾🎤

A robot is a machine—especially one programmable by a computer—capable of carrying out a complex series of actions automatically. A robot can be guided by an external control device, or the control may be embedded within. But they can act independently if their creators allow it.
( English is not my first language )
Day 3 : robot!yuu
In a world full of technology and robots. Robot!yuu was the number one idol during that time and was in the number one group of the century ; vocaloid, imagine during the middle of a performance one of their solo concerts, a black carriage arrived and they suddenly shut down.
They turned on when it was an orientation ceremony. Since robot!yuu isn't technically an organic being, they would be put between the ignihyde dorm or ramshackle.
After Crowley gave them a cellphone or asked idia if he could do maintenance to connect them to social media of twisted wonderland, by doing this they started to upload their albums towards the internet and it blew up, people are loving it, it's getting headlines about a new genre of music, and the music getting about stream by millions around the world, Robot!yuu created a genre of music. A revaluation towards the music Industry.
This managed robot!yuu to get rich overnight and allowed them to buy more expensive and to fix the ramshackle dorm more to get more expensive technology for their maintenance, Robot!yuu was planning on giving half of the money to Crowley as a thanks but he only received 1/4 half of the money.
Even tho robot! yuu is an idol, their master builds them with an offensive and defensive system, they have extremely tough metal that is hard to find as well an offensive mode, they have a lot on their arsenal attacks, energy beams, rocket launchers, shield mode, and more.
They are also able to connect to any device and hack it without any issue, they manage to hack ignihyde technology without an issue. And they are waterproof
Robot!yuu also can digest and drink things without an issue, they have a special component on their stomach to make sure they can digest things normally.
During VDC they dominated the competition. Lasers, mist appears and light sticks wave around for their presence. They change outfits depending on the song, it was literally a Miku concert.
Congratulations neige Leblanc is now one of their fans, when going down the stage, he literally ran towards you and started asking a billion of questions with stars amongst their eyes
Vil was a little sour but also amazed about robot!yuu performance, he would ask them for choreography and music ideas from them as well as fashion opinions. He originally wanted robot!yuu to transfer into ignihyde but they refused due to ignihyde has the complete equipment for them or ramshackle.
Pomifiore dorm started to take notes and tried robot!yuu fashion styles. Idia is also a supporter of them and basically a super fan, robot!yuu would come to ignihyde to help him with games or help him maintain ortho, Robot!yuu is basically a sister towards Idia and Ortho.
sorry if it's short, this is by far I could come up anon

how old is tenna. like actually
okay so 4 hours ago at 2am i saw someone say tenna is from the 70s (likely because he's a game show host) and my gut reaction was There's absolutely no way that's true, he's for sure a late 80s or early 90s tv. but i realized if i were to believe that i should probably have a verifiable reason to, so i went and made sure i did my research to validate my opinion. my opinion has not changed, i still think he's probably supposed to be from the late 80s, but here's why i think that.
so. if i wanted to be anal retentive as fuck about it, i could say that if deltarune is meant to have a similar in-universe technological development timeline to ours irl, and if deltarune is indeed meant to take place in some analogous place to the united states, then tenna is likely no older than 18 (from 2007). because he's a crt receiving over the air signals, but past 2009 irl it would need to be a digital signal, and i assume deltarune takes place after 2009, and tenna crucially does not appear to have a converter box. which would mean he'd need to have that capability built in.
however, i like. really badly do not think that matters. not only am i positive he's meant to be much older than a tv from 2007, but i just don't think a detail that minuscule would be on anybody's list of priorities when designing an old tv in fiction.
so let's imagine none of that factors into how old he could be at all. what else can we go off of. primarily i want to first look at his design. you'll notice that although he verbally references one, tenna does not actually appear to have a dial in any visual we have of him. he doesn't even look like he has a button array of any kind.
this was extremely uncommon for the 1970s, especially for just everyday family households on an average budget. this wasn't, however, as uncommon after the 80s swung around. you'd still see a lot of tvs with dials on the side, but it wasn't so notably rare to see ones lacking in this control scheme.
part of this is likely due to the invention of the infrared remote, which would take television manufacturing by storm in the 80s. to be clear, wireless remotes for tvs did exist before this, but i specifically do think the zappers are infrared due to their attack patterns and sprite movements. if this is true (and especially if the zappers are universal remotes), then the existence of the zappers would support the assumption that tenna is from the 80s at the very earliest.
as an aside on the topic of tenna's appearance, while i do think the photorealistic images are more of a visual gag than anything meant to be like. concrete canon appearance of the guy. i do want to point out that the ridged edges he has were especially typical of 80s zennith tv sets. which makes sense to me, because zenniths were pretty state-of-the-art at the time.
another thing we could look at for clues to his age is the "programming" itsself. there are a few minor details to this i'd like to point out. none of these necessarily materially impact how old tenna could be, but seeing as he's already designed as a symbolic gesture towards nostalgia, understanding the references made with these small details can help us better construct what timeframe he's meant to evoke.
first of all, his reference to a "cooking channel". correct me if i'm wrong, but i'm pretty sure the first cooking channel broadcast in america was the food network, which is from the 90s. there is also literally a Cooking Channel (proper name) but i think it's from like 2002
secondly, the rhythm minigame. live music performances have been on the air forever and ever, but specifically the channel he's on is one dedicated to music videos. that wasn't hardly a thing at all until mtv. which is from the 80s. (Adding onto this point hours later hi. they're also specifically performing hair metal, which is. 80s.)
thirdly is the existence of lanino and elnina, who are (to me at least) a blatant reference to the weather channel. weather is a staple of television, of course, but i do mean the weather channel specifically. which is from the 80s. (also. this is going to seem like a stretch but the line "weather girls are the wave!" reminds me of the work done by 2nd wave feminists to make it so that more women could go into news network jobs. so that's cool)
i do also want to point out an even smaller tidbit. tenna interrupts (or claims to interrupt) his normal programming for breaking news. this was not impossible, per se, before the 80s, but it didn't become a regular occurrence until the 80s as well, after the inception of CNN. again, this doesn't mean tenna wasn't possibly at all manufactured sooner than this, but thinking about this from a fiction writing perspective, what matters here is what tenna is mean to make the player feel. these references are ones to a world post-cnn, post-food network, post-mtv. it's an expression of fondness for a very specific past.
this is also true in how older tech itsself is utilized. the tv time intro being played back with vhs effects is telling to me, because vhs wasn't the dominant household market video format until the 80s and 90s. this is even present in the format of the game show. it's a merging of the game show concept and the prevalent force of 90s video games. television programs based on video games weren't uncommon at the time, as they were essentially literally an attempt to teach an old dog new tricks. nick arcade came to mind right away for me the first time i saw the boards.
so that's why i think he's supposed to be 80s or 90s tech. honestly, this still makes him a ridiculously old crt. most crts on a regular use schedule will last a while, but only a little over a decade.
anyways so that's my stance. i;m so so tired
#shadow's posts#deltarune spoilers#i'm insane. Hi#long post#<removing the readmore because i have more to say that i'm going to space out in a reblog. Hi

I love your headcanons!!! Do you think that with Fawcett being a time bubble and magical influence and when new technology is introduced to the city that it changes? Like the engineers study magic as well due to the proximity to the Rock of Eternity? I'd imagine like perpetual motion machines do exist and parts of the plumbing system are fantastical magic animals. Like the old telephone wires are autonomous snake-like entities that Marvel has to untangle sometimes. (They do get tangled up). It's all very surreal and dream logic stuff.
I would love to see what's under the hoods of their cars. Do they run on pixie dust or dragon tears? Are there small sprites keeping it all together?
I’ve actually never really thought about this but here are some ideas! I think they would study magic when getting engineering degrees cause I’m pretty sure they’d just think of it as apart of engineering maybe. Like for example, when building houses they’d make fairy doors in certain places. I also think that instead of Lightbulbs for street lamps they hire fairies every night to make themselves light up. They get payed in pretty stones. Detectives can hire ghosts to help solve crimes. I think their cars run on either, but they’d be higher quality gas so most people would use normal gas. I also think there would be lawyers who work specifically with cases about fae. There’s gonna be lawyers to get that first born back. People might use magical herbs in everyday cooking too. Like someone might get a dried leaf called mystic petals because when ground up, they taste similar to sugar. (The plant makes hair, skin, and eye color more vibrant) One of the teachers at an elementary school is a Lich that has nothing better to do but teach. Or a Centaur works as a PE teacher. I also think that Fawcett could be so affected by magic that the buildings and sidewalks could be sentient. Like a little kid’s about to trip on a crack and the pavement moves the crack out of the way. Or someone who’s vandalizing a building gets hit in the face when the building pushes a brick out. Certain roads seal up their potholes, and maybe Billy is running down an alley being chased or something and the alley walls close up behind him cutting his pursuers off. The flowers grow all year around in a certain part of a city, it could be hot all the time in another, it could snow frequently in another, and trees could start turning orange and letting leaves fall in another because of the presence of spring, summer, fall, and winter fairies who split Fawcett up into small kingdoms. Billy oversees their diplomatic affairs. You find Santa at the grocery store buying cookie mix because “it’s cheaper here than at the North Pole”. The Spirit of Halloween would start pestering people in beginning of September to put up their Halloween decorations. The Easter Bunny would be a local attraction to go see, as it would be in a meadow every Easter making eggs and giving them to other bunnies to go hide. There’d be tones of restaurants in Fawcett with from from multiple creatures. You can go to a small place on 45th, where you can order from fairies who make sandwiches and soups using traditional fairy recipes and herbs. Or a small stand ran by orcs who sell Owlbear on a stick and roasted Blood Hawk legs. There could be a pair of yetis who sell snow cones using snow from the Himalayas. They have human flavors like grape, and yeti flavors using fruits grown from their tribes. When zombies crawl out of their grave, there’s insurance for both the damage to the coffins and the ruined grave and for people who get bitten. Doctors tweaked the polio vaccine for zombification. Wind elementals help people they favor when they fall. Water elementals help move snow from roads. Earth elementals help with construction. Fire elementals help melt down metals for jewelry stores and factories. Harpies sing for crowds. Gelatinous Cubes can be used as lubricants for machinery and extremely strong glues. I also think the rock messed with time. There are dinosaurs displayed at the zoo. Certain buildings look like they’re from different eras. Gothic architecture, favored by vampires. Victorian architecture. Neoclassical architecture. Also there are wyvern. Though they’re all the size of vultures. They’d have multiple different scale colors which have been made into jewelry or bags. Animal rights activists heavily protested that, and did the same thing they would do to mink coats in the 90’s to the dragon scale items. They threw paint on them. Mimics have exterminators to sniff them out. Shapeshifters wear certain tags while in magical form so they won’t get flagged for animal patrol. There’s also a bunch of other races such as lamia, gorgons, lizard people, homuncules, and goblins.

A Terrible Accident ~ Part 3
A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT MASTERLIST
< previous part
Summary: The Team works on a plan to help you and Bucky.
Word Count: 1,875ish
Warnings: talk of rape, abuse, trauma
Notes: Been awhile for this update... sorry about that... read with caution...
Bucky wouldn’t allow any of the Wakandans inside his cell, including Shuri. Luckily, Shuri had the technology to be able to still run the needed tests. It took her a few hours to finish running what she needed to before gathering the team into one of the conference rooms. Shuri didn’t put any of the information she gathered on the screens yet. Not wanting any of the team members to read ahead.
“What have you found, Shuri?” Steve asked, unable to wait any longer. He was worried for his best friend.
“As I feared, something has happened to the rewiring that we had done to Barnes and the Winter Soldier was able to return,” she admitted. Steve’s face dropped while the other team members tried to keep their composure. “My team and I are coming up with a plan. We think that we can do the same protocol—“
“The protocol that didn’t work?” Tony questioned with a scoff.
“There are tweaks that can be made. I was hoping to have your help, Stark, as well as Dr. Banner’s.”
“How will you do the protocol when Barnes won’t allow anyone in the cell with him?” Asked Sam.
“With the previous protocol, we put him in cryo until I could—“
“No. No,” Steve interrupted. “Bucky cannot go under again.”
“Let Shuri finish, Steve,” Nat said.
“As I was saying,” Shuri continued, “we put Barnes in cryo and then woke him up to do the protocol. With his resistance to even having people in the same room as him, I believe we need to have him under the whole time and wake him only to test it.”
“He won’t agree to this,” said Sam. “Not at all.”
“He’ll do it for Y/N,” Steve defended. “He’ll do anything for Y/N.”
“He believes that shutting himself away is for Y/N’s sake,” Wanda said. “I don’t know if he will believe that this will actually work after this.”
“Y/N can convince him.”
“Y/N’s not allowed to go anywhere near Barnes,” Tony said. “As per his orders and mine. It’s for the best.”
“She may be the only one able to help Bucky.”
“She’s also seriously injured in the med bay thanks to your friend.”
“He wasn’t—“
“It’s Barnes’ prints and sperm that were found all over her! It was him! I don’t care that you believe him to have two separate personalities, it was still him! He is not going near her and vice versa. End of discussion.”
~~~
You knew that the Team had been pulled into a meeting. This was your chance to sneak away and see Bucky. You knew that Tony would be incredibly pissed at you, but you needed to see Bucky. It was harder to get down to the detention cells than you had originally thought, all due to your injuries.
Walking as quickly as you could, which wasn’t very fast at all, you searched for the cell that Bucky was in. It broke your heart when you found him in the farthest cell away from the elevator and stairwell. Holding your breathe, you took the final step needed to stand in front of the one-way glass.
Bucky looked awful. He was in the corner on the floor. His hair was hanging over his face, but failing to hide the dark circles under his sad eyes. Clearly, he hadn’t changed and your blood was still splattered over him. The only thing missing was his metal arm. You ran your eyes over the room to see that his arm had been tossed across the room. It broke your heart to see him like this, yet… there was a tiny voice inside your head telling you to run away. You hate that the Winter Soldier had made you scared of the man you loved. You knew that they were different, but ran now your head was beginning to trick you into thinking otherwise.
With a shaky hand, you went to press the button that would allow you to speak to him. Before you could press the button, you were stopped.
“What do you think you’re doing?” Tony’s harsh voice made your head snap in his direction. He was bounding down the hall, with Steve, Natasha, and Sam behind him.
“I need to speak with him,” you responded, getting emotional. You backed up against the console, unknowingly pressing the button that would allow Bucky to hear what was going on. “He has to know that it’s not his fault. I have to tell him that it’s not his fault… I have to…” Tears were streaming down your face and you had begun trembling. “I have to make this right… I have to help him… I—“
“Shhh, it’s okay,” Natasha cooed, stepping past Tony to get to you.
“No! It’s not okay!” You tried to lean away from Natasha’s caring hands. “It’s never going to be okay! I—I have to tell him that it’s not his fault! I have to convince him of that to help me believe it!”
Stunned silence echoed through the hall. The realization of what you had said—what you had admitted—hit you like a freight train.
“Oh my…” You suddenly broke down in tears and collapsed on the floor. “I didn’t mean that!” You cried. “I didn’t mean that!” Natasha followed you and pulled you into her. “I love him! I do!”
“We know, sweetie,” Natasha said as she tried her best to calm you.
“I know it was the Soldier,” you sobbed. “I know it wasn’t Bucky… He would never hurt me like this. But… But…”
Natasha glanced up at the men who were staring at the scene with sad, desperate looks. She turned her focus back to you. “Let’s go back to bed, Y/N. You need more rest.”
You didn’t have the energy to argue with Natasha. You let her help you to your feet and guide you out of there. Tony, Steve, and Sam were frozen in their spots for a moment trying to process what you had said.
“Shit,” Sam muttered. He quickly went over and pressed the button that turned off the sound for Bucky.
Steve’s eyes widened and he rushed over to the window to check on his friend. Bucky was standing in the center of the room, head down. The men could see the tears trailing down his face and falling onto the floor.
“How do we fix this?” Steve whispered, eyes never leaving his friend.
“I don’t know if there’s a way, Cap,” Sam admitted.
~~~
Staring at the ceiling became your new thing to do. Members of the Team kept coming up to talk to you, but everything they were saying was fuzzy. You kept replaying the last few days in your head. Every action. Every word. The shift between Bucky and The Winter Soldier. The fact that you had admitted that you were scared.
“She needs help,” Sam whispered, watching you from outside your room. “Professional help.”
“They both do,” Natasha replied. “Hell, all of us do.”
“Shuri’s planning on forcing Bucky into cryo. I absolutely hate it, but there’s no other way.”
“We have to trust that she knows what she’s doing. She’s the only one who has a chance of ridding him of the Winter Soldier programing permanently.”
“Maybe we take them both to Wakanda. They have technology there that could help both of them in a way none of us are able. Shuri’s probably alright thinking about taking Bucky there anyway.”
“It’s not a terrible idea, though I don’t know how Tony would feel about taking Y/N away from here. You know she’s basically his sister.”
“He needs help, too. He hasn’t fully healed from the fact that The Winter Soldier killed his parents and then this happens… Tony may never let Bucky in the compound again, let alone near Y/N.”
“This is an impossible situation.”
~~~
The team had been called by Shuri into a meeting. Everyone was sitting around the room, the tension thick.
“I’ve placed Sargent Barnes in cryo,” Shuri informed. “I will be moving him to Wakanda for further treatment.”
Steve stood next to Shuri. “I’m going with them and will be supervising everything,” he explained. “I will still be on duty and will do what is necessary from Wakanda, but I need to be there for Bucky.”
“Natasha and I were talking,” Sam spoke up, “and we think that maybe Y/N should go to Wakanda as well.”
“Absolutely not!” Tony immediately argued. “She will never go near Barnes again. Understood? You heard her, she openly admitted to being scared of him.”
“They wouldn’t need to talk. Wakanda just has better resources—“
“That we can bring here if needs be! I’ve already contacted the best therapists that money can buy and are moving them to the compound for the time being. She needs to be home to heal and away from that monster.”
“It’s not a monster, Tony!” Steve shouted. “He’s my friend! He is all of ours friend!”
“Not anymore he’s not. Who ever wants to go with them can go, but Y/N will remain at the compound. End of discussion.”
~~~
Steve sighed as sat on your bed. You were still awake, but staring at the ceiling like you had been since you came back into this room. It was dark outside and the only light coming into the room was from the hallway.
“Bucky and I are leaving in the morning,” Steve whispered, unsure if you could even comprehend his words. “Sam’s going to join us in a few days. He wants to make sure you’re alright. Wanda and Vision said they’ll come, too. We might be able to use their powers to help Bucky finally be free of the programing, so that’s hopeful.” He stared at you for a silent moment. “I’m so sorry about everything, Y/N/N…” Tears collected in his eyes. “I wish that I could fix this more… I know that the two of you love each other. And I have to hope everything will work out. It will.” He stood up and leaned over you. He pressed a tender kiss to your forehead. “I’ll keep you in the loop, no matter what Tony does, I promise.”
Steve turned away and almost missed your quiet, “don’t.”
He spun back around and hurried back to your side. “What?”
“Don’t keep me updated… please,” you rasped, growing emotional. Steve thought his heart couldn’t break any further. “I… I need time… and I… I don’t want the pressure… I’m sorry, Steve.”
“No, no, no, no,” he shook his head. “Please don’t apologize to me. If that’s what you want, then I will respect that.”
“I’m so sorry.” Tears slipped down your cheeks.
“Don’t be. I will be calling to check on you though, okay? Can’t let you think I forgot about you.”
“Okay.”
“You’ll get through this, Y/N, no matter what. And don’t let Tony force you into doing anything you don’t agree with. Alright?”
“Okay.”
“Please let the know if you need anything.”
“Okay.”
Steve gave your forehead a kiss before he got up and left. You went back to staring at the ceiling, letting yourself drown in the weight of it all.

DP X DC X Subnautica
Where the Justice League (mostly focusing on the Superfam or Batfam or Flashfam) are large leviathan-esque creatures living on Planet 4546B. Maybe they can change forms due to Precursor experimentation, maybe not. Those with young hang out around the shallows more than the others, what with most of them being large super or specialized predators.
Enter Danny Fenton, interning on the Aurora when the ship is shot down by the Quarantine Enforcement Platform. Oh sure he probably would have tried to stop the destruction and help, but his ghost powers are a bit on the fritz and a well-meaning worker pushes him into one of the last life pods seeing as he's a child.
Now the leviathans may not know what a ship is exactly, but they can definitely understand that in most cases things technology = precursors. As far as they understand, a metal deathtrap not unlike the old labs or caches fell alongside several metallic eggs, with the emerging hatchlings misshapen and not living long.
But then there's the egg that landed in the shallows, which at first they thought was empty. But a hatchling- much smaller than the previous ones- emerges, a day later than the rest, but they're alive even if their swimming is all wobbly! It's so tiny, and obviously hatched too early with the strange split tail and how it keeps swimming to the surface for air, and they have to protect it! Now if only the little hatchling would answer their calls and not dart into hiding spots whenever they approach...
Honestly this is up to the writer lol, but I like to think that Danny's ghost form, when he finally manages to achieve it again, goes a little naga-esque. Almost like a sea snake instead of just a whispy ghost tail, which while better for swimming doesn't help his freak out over most ghost powers still not working.

Wymond Teklight (Neo)
Alternative version of Lord Neo, belonging to a "Branch World" (better called Alternative Line What If?) named Dark Fall Ending
Being an Alternative line What If? the history of Metal Organic as certain events of this universe happen in a VERY different way, where it leads him to experience the worst things alongside his only brother.
Brief Synopsis 💫
"Due to his appearance, he is mistaken for someone young. He lives in a remote, cold region near a small town called Cold City. Even though he is the owner of a multi-million dollar company, he does not present himself publicly. If he has to, he sends a representative or presents himself in another appearance. His true face is a mystery to many."
Additional information 🖨️
Being an alternate version it is very different from Prime Lord Neo it would have differences, the most noticeable is that it is a more mature and long-lived version than Lord Neo himself, hence why its appearance is different.
The reason that its appearance is very different to the point of almost not looking like a hedgehog is because in the past by transforming too much in its dragon form it eventually acquired characteristics of said form being now a mix of its dragon and hedgehog appearance.
By selling its creations, products and raw materials to other companies, over time it became a fairly recognized billionaire especially for its technology that almost no one has access to (only he keeps the best) it almost always has to be working and rarely has vacations ..... unless it receives extra help and can relax for a whole month or more.
Being the only one of his species, along with his brother, they have to keep a low profile so as not to attract attention. That is why he prefers not to show his face to the public, apart from also to avoid being hunted.
Due to the experiences he went through in the past, his personality became more analytical and distrustful, always on the defensive, making him a very lonely person, although he shows a more educated and understanding side.
Extra data ✴️
The reason he decided to change his name is to go more unnoticed, also for security reasons and so that no one easily recognizes him as the fearsome Lord Neo
His real name is still Neo, only his brother and trusted people who work for him call him by his real name
With the name change, his birthday was also changed to December 31st
The reason he put Teklight as his last name and not Robotnick is because he hates and despises his creator, he doesn't want to have anything that links him to him, in his words it disgusts him to even name him
He's only interested in being calm and that his brother is well so he almost doesn't consider even settling down (getting married) and if he does, in his words, looking for the woman of his dreams is complicated
He's just a businessman, being a conqueror is something he prefers to leave behind in his words "his old facet of a rebellious young man no longer goes with him"
He is semi-immortal due to a mutation that makes him quite long-lived, but he can die... there is only one person who knows how to kill him
Amy and Tails work for him, being one of the few who know his true identity
His sclerotids turn black when he is under extreme stress, anger/rage and feels that he is in danger

Human Informant (Frieza x gn!reader) - Part Two to Alien Invasion
Read Part One here
It was not often that Frieza found himself in the act of sparing life forms of insignificant power or explicit usefulness. Yet the human race found themselves outliving their expected annihilation. The courage of one singular human had spared the entirety of their race. Tapping his long tail against the cool metal of his throne Frieza gazed out over Earth 2.0 below.
Y/N was a refreshing change. While the human was (rightfully) weary of the alien Emperor, they refused to cower in fear as the rest of their species had. Instead, Y/N had offered directions and valuable information that he had asked for. While shaken up at the thought of being flown hundreds of feet up in the air by Zarbon, Y/N had still questioned the limiting of their sight.
Once at Capsule Corp the human had been of even greater assistance. After pointing out what each building on the estate was, or likely was if Y/N was unsure, the trio had made their way to the Provisional Government building. Unsurprisingly the Government was in session and anxiously awaiting their arrival. News spread quickly and there was no doubt that someone had notified them as soon as the alien duo and their pet human had taken off.
Frieza had taken little time in informing the room of his importance and status in the universe before setting out what he expected from his new pets. Technology. While some human technology and resources were relatively primitive, the race showed great potential to adapt and innovate. Given the right tools they would be a useful source of technological advancement and aid to his Empire. In turn for technology he would pardon their occupation of his planet. This offer had of course been paired with his characteristic wit and charm, insulting the weakness of human strength in one breath while praising their innovation and adaptability in the other.
The braver, or perhaps stupider, politicians broke out in hushed debate over his ‘proposal.’ Frieza was not to be denied, Y/N had seen first hand what his impatience and annoyance looked like. Evidence of it could be seen back at the explosion site. Before a committee member had the opportunity to speak up in denial, question Frieza, or say something that may be misconstrued, Y/N spoke up.
“With all due respect there is no room for debate. This is a one time offer with a looming expiration date if you don’t accept it soon. I’m sure you’ve already heard about the destruction at Base City Two…” Y/N tapered off not wanting to give Frieza any ideas. “The human is right, time is ticking. If you don’t accept my offer now I’m afraid I’ll have to forcibly remove you from my planet” Frieza taunted the room, eyes boring down at officials from his elevated throne. He was slightly impressed by Y/N’s initiate to wrap things up. The longer he was made to wait the more the human government pressed their luck.
“Very well” one official spoke up, head bowed in defeat, “we of course accept and will begin whatever preparations you deem necessary as soon as told.” A smug smirk painted the corners of Frieza’s mouth, “I’m glad we could come to an… agreement. Starting tomorrow my soldiers and scientists will be in touch to make the necessary preparations and teachings of higher technology. For now, I will retire to my ship. I look forward to working together.”
With that Frieza’s floating throne sharply turned to face Y/N and Zarbon. “Come we return to the ship. Bring Y/N with us, they will act as our informant on human culture, politics, and science” the Emperor ordered Zarbon. Together the three blasted into the sky leaving a wake of stunned humans.

Third rail or overhead?
Well, it depends! If you want a more detailed answer, here you go:
Overhead line electrification is typically better than third rail for a few reasons, ranging from physics related to safety conscerns. The higher voltage of overhead wires compared to third rail means there are smaller power losses due to ohmic heating, and fewer substations are required to power the lines. Overhead lines being AC rather than DC helps with this, since they can use transformers to change voltage, although some places do use DC overhead (no British mainlines do, however). The other area where overhead is better is safety, as it is rather difficult for passengers to touch the overhead wires and even harder to ground themselves while doing so (unless they're trying to electrocute themselves), whereas with third rail you can easily touch both the live rail and another piece of metal (such as the running rails). This is one reason why you shouldn't trespass on the railway, as you will die.
There are a few other areas where overhead is better, such as allowing for faster speeds (the contact shoe for third rail is much easier to damage than a pantograph, especially since the third rail has to stop briefly at switches & similar places) and how overhead lines can't really get covered in leaves that insulate the electrical current.
Looking at all of the advantages of overhead lines compared to third rail, you might wonder why third rail is used at all. However, there are still some advantages to using third rail. One big advantage is that third rail is much, much simpler than overhead wires, since it just needs a third rail; instead of stanchions, gantries, cables, weights, and pulleys for keeping the wires suspended, level, and under constant tension. The less complicated infrastructure does also mean third rail is easier and cheaper to build, which is one reason why a lot of older systems used it. In Britain, most of the trains south of London are third rail since the Southern Railway used it extensively, and changing it over would be rather pointless and expensive.
Another advantage is weather: strong winds don't affect third rail, and while you could have a strong storm blowing over caternary poles, you wouldn't have any problems with third rail. Also, neither system does well with ice.
A less important advantage of third rail is that some people don't like the look of overhead wires, and third rail can be a way of electrifying without having to deal with their complaints or resorting to battery electric trains (which are terrible and worse than either). This is a stupid reason for choosing third rail instead of overhead wires,
One final way in which third rail is better than overhead wires is that it is less restrictive in loading gauge – trains can't be taller than the overhead wires, and also need some clearance so they don't clip the wires or support structures. This is why most third rail systems around the world are metro systems, where it's very important to fit large trains into small tunnels, but high speeds are less important, so third rail works well (the same applies to fourth rail, used by the London Underground and almost no one else). However, this is less important for more recent metro systems, as advances in technology mean it is both possible to have larger tunnels and reduced clearance between overhead wires and trains; which can be seen in the use of overhead wires for modern metro systems such as the Delhi Metro.
Overall, both systems have advantages and disadvantages, but overhead wires are generally better than third rail. The reasons for third rail's use are largely historical, and it continues to exist because it would be too expensive to replace and for very little benefit – it is still electrification, and it's better to install new electrification than to swap one system for another.
#network rail#network rail answers#network rail essays#“well it depends” is a valid answer to basically any question#it's also not very helpful in most cases#“when is my train coming?” “well it depends” - true but useless

Regular Army and Division 6 Machines
The SV-000 is a gunmetal grey tankette, serving as a prototype version of the SV-001, which briefly saw action during the Arms Deal Barrage. It was the first Slug to be successfully constructed from salvaged Tuatha Dé Danann technology, a design approach that would later become a hallmark of other Slugs, including the Slug Gunner, Drill Slug, and Astro Slug. It also set the precedent for all Slugs that it can perform a highly damaging suicide attack called a Frontal Attack, which involves the driver jumping out of the vehicle, and it subsequently exploding upon impact with the enemy. However, it was quickly discontinued due to a critical design flaw: the hatch became extremely difficult to exit when the unit sustained sufficient damage to trigger self-destruction.
The remaining SV-000 units were either destroyed and repurposed for the development of the SV-001 or had their source code stolen by the Amadeus Syndicate, who stored it in their secure cyberspace vault. Only one SV-000 is confirmed to still exist and remain operational, and it's currently in the possession of Red Eye. Notably, unlike its successor, the SV-000 could rapidly change direction with minimal delay.
The SV-001 Metal Slug is a silver tankette and the first fully functional Super Vehicle developed by the Regular Army, following the discontinuation of the SV-000. They were swiftly mass produced after the sudden Rebel Army attack on President Marx's defence facility, stockpiling the advanced tanks in their caches with hopes to launch a massive assault against the mysterious Rebels once the time came. During the Great Morden War, the Rebel Army launched a massive global assault on the Regular Army. Despite prior warnings from the Intelligence Agency, corrupt higher-ups within the Regular Army's chain of command ignored the alerts, leaving their forces vulnerable to the Rebel Army's superior numbers and advanced technologies.
In response, the Regular Army planned a massive counterattack, deploying advanced tanks codenamed “Metal Slug”. These tanks were originally designed to support regular army soldiers and special forces operatives, particularly in high-intensity combat situations. However, Rebel spies discovered the project, and many SV-001s were captured during a crushing attack. With many government and military powers in disarray, the surviving members of the Regular Army high command and Lieutenant Marco Rossi assembled a team consisting of Tarma Roving, Tequila, Gimlet, Red Eye, and scattered Regular troops they could muster to launch a desperate counterattack. Their mission was to retrieve the stolen Metal Slugs, destroying them if necessary to prevent the Rebel Army from utilising them. Fortunately, enough tanks were recovered for use in the final assault, ultimately leading to the end of the Great Morden War.
The SV-001 continued to serve the Regular Army in various major conflicts, including the White Baby Crisis and the Martian Takeover. While the tank boasts impressive technical details, its design has two significant flaws: its height and top-heavy weight distribution, which can cause it to tip over, especially when firing the 127mm low-pressure rifled main cannon. Additionally, the tank's high radar cross-section makes it vulnerable to high-speed guided missiles. Rumours suggest that some individuals received SV-001s with a faulty hatch mechanism. This defect reportedly made it challenging for operators to exit the vehicle quickly after initiating its suicide attack mode, commonly referred to as a "Frontal Attack". It relies on gas to remain operational and is capable of firing two types of ammunition: high-velocity Armor Piercer (AP) shells that travel in a straight line, and standard Gnome Bullets, which are low-velocity, arcing shells.
The SV-001 Type-R is an upgraded version of the SV-001, boasting faster movement and higher jumping capabilities than its predecessor. It retains the unique capabilities of the SV-000 and draws design inspiration from the elusive SV-002 project, which was scrapped by the Regular Army engineers and higher-ups. The SV-001 Type-R is often mistaken for the SV-002 because it's considered the closest successor to the original SV-001 that the Regular Army is willing to invest time and resources into.
It features a pair of gun pods, replacing the original 12.6mm Vulcans. Each pod is equipped with a high-speed machine gun and a rocket launcher. The machine guns support various ammunition types, including standard rounds, Shotgun shells, and Flame Shot fuel. Additionally, the main cannon has a smaller bore, allowing for extended range and increased accuracy. The shells fired from the SV-001 Type-R's cannon travel farther and with greater precision than the 127mm high-explosive shells used in the original. However, these advanced features come at a higher production cost, making the SV-001 Type-R a rare sight compared to standard tanks.
The SVW-001 Slug Gunner represents the ultimate evolution of the SV-001. Developed by Regular Army engineers, its design was influenced by the Rebel Army's LV Armor blueprints, which were stolen during the White Baby Crisis, as well as firsthand observations of the Ptolemaic Army's Units during the Martian Takeover. It boasts a unique transformative capability, switching between mech and tank forms. Its arsenal includes a massive 180mm cannon, a 60mm 7-barrel minigun, and a jet booster that enables high jumps and double jumps. Additionally, The Slug Gunner features a pile bunker for close-quarters combat, utilising a revolver-like mechanism with six cartridges to amplify its blows.
While it excels in firepower, its mobility is hindered by a cumbersome design. In mech mode, it moves at an extremely slow pace, although crawling slightly improves its speed. The minigun's range of motion is also limited, restricting it to firing in the direction the Slug Gunner is facing or directly above. However, the minigun can spread its shots to partially compensate for its inability to fire diagonally.
The SVX-15D Slugnoid is a bipedal mechanized Super Vehicle designed for combat in challenging terrain, developed by Regular Army engineers. Equipped with rocket boosters, it can jump to exceptional heights. Its primary armament consists of two 12.6mm Vulcans attached to each side, capable of rotating 360° and firing in different directions simultaneously, although mastering this capability requires practice. The secondary weapon is an incendiary shell fired from its frontal 120mm cannon, located in the pelvic area, which excels at decimating enemy troops. However, the Slugnoid is slow, cumbersome, and loses control whenever one of its Vulcan cannons gets hit.
As secondary ammunition, most Slugnoids carry alternate versions of the iron lizard bombs, humorously nicknamed "fat lizards". These devices resemble bipedal, white cartoon bombs with legs and charge towards enemies, occasionally pausing to "catch their breath" before resuming their attack. They may also randomly trip and explode prematurely.
There are several Slugnoid variants: Slugnoid Type-CS, Slugnoid Type-R, and Slugnoid Type-B. The Slugnoid Type-CS is a bronze-painted version with weak armour, used exclusively for Combat School training to teach cadets and recruits how to operate the Slugnoid with minimal damage. The Slugnoid Type-R is a red-painted version with a reverse-functioning Vulcan, equipped only with fat lizard bombs. The Slugnoid Type-B is a blue-painted version with enhanced jumping capabilities compared to the standard model.
The Slug Trolley, also referred to as the Slug Truck, is a specialised vehicle developed by the Regular Army for rail-based operations. Essentially a customised mine cart, it is equipped with a Vulcan gun for defensive purposes. One of its notable features is the ability to attach additional wagons, which are capable of firing cannon rounds that travel in an arc. However, these wagons have weaker armour compared to the main cart, making them more vulnerable to enemy fire. The main cart has an open, windowless compartment that allows the operator to observe their surroundings. Operators must remain vigilant because the open design makes them susceptible to enemy attacks, particularly from snipers.
The Metal Claw, also known as the Metal Crow, is a light tank destroyer vehicle that resembles the T-2B Melty Honey but is painted a deep metallic blue. The pilot controls the vehicle from within but doesn't have the option to be exposed. It's designed to move alongside other tanks and provide supporting fire. It features the same spiked plate for protection and missile launcher as the Melty Honey, along with the Vulcan cannons from the Metal Slug. Additionally, the missile launcher has the capability to fire shotgun shells. It was created by the Amadeus Syndicate shortly after their newly formed alliance with the Regular Army, serving as a gift to symbolise their newfound allegiance. The Rebel Army later used the Metal Claw as design inspiration for the T-2B Melty Honey, enhancing its armour since the original had relatively weak protection.
The SV-Camel is an animal-based vehicle that offers its rider some protection in the form of a fruit-filled basket. It's also the first known vehicle in the “Animal Ride" series of Slugs. Developed by Regular Army engineers following the Great Modern War, its purpose was to reduce dependence on the SV-001. From their perspective, utilising animals provided a stealth advantage on the battlefield. The dromedary camel boasts impressive speed and is equipped with two 14mm Vulcan cannons. The SV-Camel is primarily deployed in desert environments.
The Elephant Slug is an animal-based vehicle and the second known animal used in the “Animal Ride" series of Slugs. Although it's very slow and can only jump to a very short height, it provides its rider with a high profile, offering some protection. It's equipped with a pair of 16mm Vulcans, but its genetic modification for combat enables it to access additional firepower. By consuming chili peppers or a car battery, the African elephant gains the ability to breathe fire or shoot lightning from its proboscis. The Elephant Slug is primarily deployed in cold and tropical environments.
The Ostrich Slug is an animal-based vehicle that lacks visible protection. It's the second known vehicle in the “Animal Ride" series of Slugs, closely tied to the Donkey Slug. It's a genetically modified common ostrich with enhanced speed and jumping capabilities, allowing it to effortlessly clear large chasms. It comes equipped with a pair of 12.6mm Vulcans, which have a limited firing arc of 180°.
The Donkey Slug is an animal-based vehicle with a lack of visible protection. Essentially a miniature donkey with 13mm Vulcan cannons attached to its sides, it's characterised by its slow movement and weak jump. A wooden carriage with a cannon mounted on top can be hitched to the Vulcan cannons. This cannon functions similarly to those on an SV-001. The Donkey Slug is primarily used in underdeveloped countries, particularly those relying on donkeys for transportation and agricultural purposes.
The SVX-22UG Drill Slug is a specialised drilling machine designed for tunnel excavation, developed shortly after the successful deployment of the Slug Digger during the Invader Conquest. For defence, the drill is equipped with 12.6mm Vulcans for long-range engagements. In close combat, an expendable 400mm heavy-duty bore drill on the chassis automatically activates when contacted. Although it's relatively slow and unable to jump, its ability to elevate the cockpit provides a higher profile and helps evade incoming fire from below. However, operators must remain cautious because the Drill Slug remains vulnerable to certain attacks, such as acid and explosives.
The Protogunner is a prototype of the Slug Gunner, developed for testing purposes and briefly deployed during the Invader Conquest before being swiftly discontinued. Regular Army engineers created the Protogunner using the Rebel Army's LV Armor schematics as a starting point for designing a new Super Vehicle. This prototype would eventually evolve into the Slug Gunner before the events of the Ptolemaic Emergence. Initially designated as the SVW-001 Slug Gunner Prototype, its lengthy name led many to adopt the simplified codename "Protogunner" for convenience.
Due to its prototype status, it offers limited protection to its operator, leaving them vulnerable to attacks from above and the sides. Additionally, it lacks a melee attack, relying solely on its ranged weaponry. However, the Protogunner boasts superior speed and maneuverability compared to the finalised Slug Gunner's mech mode. It's equipped with the Slug Gunner's 180mm multiple cannon on its front, supplemented by a pair of 10mm Vulcan cannons on its sides. Although its body has partial invincibility, it remains susceptible to destruction by anti-tank ammunition and explosions. A notable feature of this Super Vehicle is its ability to perform an automatic Vulcan Fix, locking its side-mounted Vulcans in place. This allows the operator to move the Protogunner while continuously firing without adjusting the Vulcans.
The Slug Digger is a versatile, multi-purpose vehicle that serves as both a subterranean digger and a helicopter. Rapidly developed by the Regular Army and Rebel Army, its primary objective was to infiltrate the Invaders' underground hive. The Slug Digger features retractable drills on its left, right, and bottom sides, enabling it to excavate the earth. Additionally, it's equipped with two 16mm Vulcan cannons that can fire bullets capable of tearing through dirt. Notably, its cannon shots deploy mines that remain in place until triggered by enemy contact or subsequent gunfire.
The Walking Machine is a crawling Slug designed for exploration purposes, originally derived from a haunted amusement park animatronic resembling a humanoid, quadruped zombie. It was redesigned to mimic the appearance of the Mutated Soldier, but with distinct features such as a rotating light on top of its head, a muscular build, and an exposed battery on its back. The operator rides astride the Walking Machine, holding onto reins connected to its cheeks. Its lower profile provides some degree of evasion, and it can jump higher than most Slugs.
There are two variants of the Walking Machine: the Special Walking Machine and Walk Machine Type-B. The Special Walking Machine is a sleeker variant with a different head design and horns serving as handles. Notably, its pair of 14mm Vulcans has been replaced by a Gatling gun inside its mouth. The Walk Machine Type-B is an unmanned, red version of the Special Walking Machine, designed for underground exploration. Although heavily armoured, it relies on a Mobile Satellite deployed from a hatch on its back and a flamethrower inside its mouth. Additionally, it boasts an impressive jumping ability, surpassing that of its predecessors.
The RA-TTT (Regular Army Troop Transport Truck), also referred to as the Regular Army Truck, is a transport vehicle utilised by the Regular Army for deploying troops to the battlefield. Initially, the vehicle featured a simple rifle green colour scheme, but it was later updated with a camouflage woodland pattern prior to the events of the Martian Takeover.
The TIAF600 Slug Mobile, also known as the Wagon Slug and Metal Express, is a modified version of the TIAF 660, a popular civilian vehicle renowned for its compact design. During the conflict in Gerhardt City, the Rebel Army utilised numerous TIAF 660s as road barriers due to their widespread availability. The Regular Army soon took notice and salvaged several TIAF 660s shortly after capturing General Morden to revamp the model for their own purposes. Initially, engineers aimed to transform the TIAF 600s into a heavily armoured transport vehicle with advanced weaponry. However, they were instructed to retain the original design and instead equip it with 14mm Vulcans on the sides and an RPG. Due to time constraints, the engineers had to work quickly, and the resulting vehicle was codenamed the "Slug Mobile".
It boasts impressive speed and jumping capabilities, performing well on roads but struggling with off-road handling. Its Vulcan cannons provide effective defence against aircraft, while the guided RPG under the front hood offers some anti-armour defence. However, the hastily implemented upgrades, particularly the Vulcan's ammo and boosting system, have increased the vehicle's risk of catching fire.
The SVF-07V Slug Flyer is a Super Vehicle designed for aerial combat, developed by Regular Army engineers. Its VTOL capabilities provide excellent maneuverability. However, its H-AV-5963 Revision Vulcans have limited range with restricted firing angles. The aircraft is also equipped with short-range air-to-air AIM-9A missiles, which, although powerful, require time to accelerate after deployment. When dismounting from an airborne Slug Flyer, operators can descend via parachute or utilise Regular Army Jetpack Gear.
Initially, prior to and during the Arms Deal Barrage, the aircraft lacked Vulcans, restricting its firepower to horizontal forward shooting. Its secondary weapons were limited to drop bombs and homing missiles. In response to pilot and technician feedback, the Slug Flyer underwent upgrades, incorporating Vulcans and enhanced secondary weaponry.
The SVH-03 Slug Copter, also known as the Slug Chopper, is an attack helicopter Super Vehicle developed by the Regular Army shortly after the Arms Deal Barrage. Key features of the Slug Copter include dual H-AV-5963 Revision Vulcan cannons with 360° rotation capability and high-damage bombs effective against ground targets, but ineffective against aerial targets. Notably, there have been reports of pilots accidentally colliding with the rotor blades when entering or exiting the vehicle, resulting in minor injuries. Fortunately, no fatal incidents have occurred to date.
The Astro Slug is a single-seat spaceship developed jointly by the Rebel Army and Amadeus Syndicate three months after the Invader Conquest. This sudden development was sparked by General Morden's growing paranoia about a potential alien invasion and the need to engage hostile extraterrestrial forces in outer space. The Pipovulaj's swift termination of their alliance with the Rebel Army after winning the war against the Invaders and returning to Mars further fueled this paranoia.
The Regular Army's acquisition of the Astro Slug remains unclear, but a popular theory suggests that they played a role in its development. This collaboration allegedly involved incorporating Martian and Invader technological debris. Interestingly, General Morden allowed the Regular Army to possess half of the produced Astro Slugs. Although this rumour seems unusual, it's considered plausible, especially given the relatively peaceful relations between the Regular Army, Rebel Army, Ptolemaic Army, and Amadeus Syndicate during that period.
The Astro Slug features a semi-automatic cannon on top, but its true potential lies in its ability to equip various weapons during flight. These weapons include Heavy Machine Guns, Laser Guns, Shotguns, and Rocket Launchers, which are mounted on two weapon pods on each side of the spacecraft. Additionally, it's equipped with limited, powerful, unguided missiles for firepower support. Some variants of the Astro Slug are also equipped with two 16mm Vulcan units that move in reverse of the spaceship's movement.
The Golden Slug, also known as the Golden Slug Phoenix, is a flight-based vehicle and the first known Slug to exist. Believed to be a creation of the Tuatha Dé Danann, it was discovered during a joint investigation by the Regular Army and Amadeus Syndicate at Ultima Thule. A team of soldiers and scientists stumbled upon a surprisingly half-functional phoenix war machine while searching for precious materials to utilise for weapons and machine manufacturing.
The origins of the Golden Slug are shrouded in mystery, but rumours suggest that it may have served as the guardian of Atlantis and Ultima Thule. It’s believed to have powered down and crashed into a crystal-filled, snowy cave after the destruction of Atlantis and the disappearance of the Tuatha Dé Danann. Due to its unpredictable behaviour, it has only been witnessed by a select few. Its last deployment was during the artillery bombardment of the Serapion Fellowship's fortress in Arms Deal Barrage, where it nearly went rogue, threatening to kill both friendly and enemy forces. Fortunately, Hyakutaro Ichimonji swiftly dismantled it, preventing a catastrophic outcome.
It's primarily an unmanned machine controlled by advanced AI, but it can also be operated by a single pilot. Unlike the Slug Flyer and Slug Copter, the Golden Slug mimics the flight pattern of a bird, flapping its wings to maintain flight and emitting loud squawks. It has a barrage of heat-seeking missiles located between its "feathers". Additionally, a laser beam is located inside its mouth, which can be switched between a Gatling gun, flamethrower, and poison gas dispenser during its 5-minute recharge period. Furthermore, it contains the Final Giga Blaster, a special weapon housed in its chest cavity. When activated, a camera shutter-like hatch opens, and a Denturion cannon-shaped launcher emerges, producing a large electrical, fiery nuclear energy sphere that causes a massive explosion upon impact.
The SVX-17M Slug Mariner is a Regular Army Super Vehicle designed as a single-crew minisub. Produced as an upgraded version of the Slug Sub before the events of the Extraterrestrial Alliance Clash, it boasts faster movement speed and a sleeker design. Similar to the Slug Flyer and Slug Copter, the Slug Mariner contains specialised gear, Scuba Gear, for operators. This gear is useful if the operator needs to exit the vehicle after it entered suicide attack mode or if the Slug Mariner is destroyed and enters self-destruct mode. The Slug Mariner is equipped with two 10mm Vulcan cannons, which fire incendiary ammunition that sinks after being shot, allowing it to effectively target enemies below. Additionally, it can launch powerful torpedoes that create a large shockwave upon impact, making it extremely useful against larger underwater enemies.
The Slug Sub is a small submarine that lacks a Vulcan, instead relying on torpedoes. When it resurfaces, it can fire homing rockets, which are replaced with depth charges when it submerges. The submarine is equipped with an Emergency Boat, a backup transport featuring a river paddle that's deployed whenever the submarine is destroyed. Due to the rising popularity of the Slug Mariner, the Slug Sub has become less prominent and is often utilised for reconnaissance missions, particularly by the Intelligence Agency.
The Borobune Slug serves as both a freighter and fishing boat for the Regular Army. Initially, it functioned as a construction unit, transporting materials and goods while secretly carrying a single metal container. This container could hold either a ground vehicle or submarine, depending on the mission requirements. The Borobune Slug was exclusively deployed on Pallas Island during the Regular Army's nuclear testing and experimental shipbuilding operations. However, after mutated crustaceans appeared, nuclear testing was halted, and the Regular Army unit fled the island with a single, heavily damaged Borobune Slug, which had barely survived an attack by an Enormous Moray. This surviving unit inspired the Regular Army to produce more Borobune Slugs, which were intentionally designed with a run-down appearance for stealth purposes.
The Middle-Son 1986 is an old U-Boat, originally designed as a submarine, still in use by the Regular Army. Although more advanced variants have been developed, it remains in frequent service despite its outdated design. The submarine has a substantial arsenal, carrying a range of weapons including missiles, torpedoes, and even transporting troops across the ocean. Each vessel is equipped with an anti-aerial machine-gun turret, known as the AA Machine Gun, mounted on its hull. Notably, the Middle-Son 1986 boasts remarkable durability, which surpasses that of the Slug Sub and Slug Mariner. It can withstand damage from repeated bombing runs and continues to operate with minimal damage.
The Middle-Son 1999 is a submarine developed by the Regular Army for reconnaissance and offensive operations in water areas. Originally, only one unit was produced, but it sank after a severe storm in Asian waters damaged the submarine, causing it to crash against a rocky shoreline. Unfortunately, all crew members on board lost their lives. Its wreckage was later discovered in a dried-up riverbed in the Villeneuve Mt. System during the Great Morden War. At that time, the Rebel Army was utilising the wreckage as a makeshift shelter and interceptor. Following the Great Morden War, the Regular Army salvaged the remains of the Middle-Son 1999. This enabled engineers to analyse the materials used in its construction, ultimately leading to the production of additional units. Although there are more Middle-Son 1999 submarines than its predecessor, they have slightly weaker durability and lack an AA Machine Gun.
The PA33-21 Boat is a transport vessel designed to carry Regular Army personnel to privately owned islands and seaside areas. It features strong armour for protection, but has a vulnerability to aircraft-deployed bombs. For defence, it's equipped with three AA Machine Guns, providing powerful force against airborne threats. The boat has a capacity to carry up to 25 passengers, along with additional storage for a handful of weapon crates and barrels of food.
The Augensterm is a Slug designed to operate on both floors and ceilings. Developed by the Regular Army in a secret underground laboratory, this four-legged Slug was created using harvested scraps from destroyed Rebel Army tanks and Regular Army Super Vehicles found on the old battlefield of the P.F. Squad training island. The laboratory itself was repurposed after being abandoned by the Amadeus Syndicate. Rumours suggest that the Augensterm was built shortly after the Invader Conquest, but its deployment has been delayed due to extensive testing phases. However, the reasons behind its lack of deployment remain classified, known only to high-ranking officials and engineers.
The pilot is positioned higher than in other Slugs, making it more challenging for enemies to score a hit. Its dual 12.6mm Vulcans operate similarly to the Slugnoid, firing at either the same target or in opposite directions. Additionally, the Augensterm is equipped with a harpoon capable of piercing enemy vehicles with ease. A special setting allows the harpoon to generate electricity when attacking. Furthermore, the harpoon can be replaced with an extendable drill designed for close-quarters combat rather than burrowing. However, its relatively slow movement makes it vulnerable to bullet and rocket attacks if the operator is not cautious.
The Slug Gigant is a monstrous walker emblazoned with the Regular Army insignia, currently holding the title of the largest Slug. Its design drew heavy inspiration from stolen Rebel Gigant blueprints, acquired by Intelligence Agency agents during the White Baby Crisis. Unlike the Rebel Gigant, which is primarily used for combat, the Slug Gigant serves a dual purpose as both a war machine and a giant snowplow. It is equipped with a 16mm Vulcan at the front, two movable arms, and a plasma beam attack capable of unleashing explosive force.
The Slug Gigant comes in two variants: a single-pilot model and a dual-pilot model. The primary difference between these variants lies in the cockpit design and the distribution of controls. In the single-pilot Slug Gigant, the lone pilot controls all aspects of the machine from a single cockpit. In contrast, the dual-pilot model features two separate cockpits. The pilot in the forward cockpit controls movement, the forward-facing Vulcan, and the claw-blaster cannon, while the pilot in the rear cockpit operates the shoulder-mounted Vulcan cannons.
The Black Hound was initially a part of the Ptolemaic Army's arsenal, but its software and design blueprints were stolen by Intelligence Agency agents and S.P.A.R.R.O.W.S. operatives during a raid on the Osaka compound in the midst of the Ptolemaic Emergence.
Originally, it was an experimental, unmanned war machine developed using stolen data disc information. However, the Regular Army, with the assistance of Trevor Spacey, modified the design to accommodate a single operator, replacing its remote-controlled AI technology. The initial version of the Regular Army's Black Hound lacked a functional laser cannon mounted on a mechanical arm. However, this oversight was eventually addressed by Tarma, who successfully integrated the laser cannon shortly after the revolt against the Regular Army.
The Iron Nokana is a repurposed Rebel Army large, multi-purpose armoured combat vehicle. It has been repainted blue and its size has been reduced by half compared to the original. Notably, the Girida-0 mounted on the back has been replaced with a bronze SV-001. The vehicle has undergone significant upgrades, including the addition of durable armour that provides immunity to electric shocks and freezing due to its resistance to electricity and icy cold temperatures. Many Regular Army personnel jokingly refer to it as the Steel Norcana.
The Type-2 Di-Cokka is a Rebel Army tank repurposed by Trevor, utilising stolen software he obtained during the White Baby Crisis. The tank's exterior has been painted blue with a golden iridescence, and the Regular Army insignia is emblazoned on its left side. It has been upgraded to include two short-barreled 155mm H-Cannons, which fire single shots that cover twice the range of the original. Notably, unlike its Rebel variants, which collapse when damaged, this Di-Cokka is rigged to explode into enemy positions when critically damaged.
The LV Slug Armor, also known as Heavy Armor, is an advanced variant of the Rebel Army's LV Armor. During the White Baby Crisis, the Intelligence Agency stole the data disc containing the LV Armor's design blueprints and computer software. The Intelligence Agency then handed this data over to the Regular Army for repurposing. Trevor was tasked with reworking the original LV Armor software for Regular Army use. He integrated an anti-virus program to prevent hacking and reduce the risk of system malfunction. Regular Army engineers subsequently developed a new version with enhanced armour, capable of withstanding heavier firepower.
The upgraded Slug Armor features a 60mm MTS-S/A chain gun integrated into its arm as well as a 100mm cannon mounted on its back. However, unlike its predecessor, it cannot swap weapons. Additionally, the weight of its new armaments prevents it from double-jumping. It boasts high, resilient armour and is equipped with a Vulcan gun and a rear-mounted cannon. It moves much faster on foot, and while crouching, it can use its hover pack to perform a sliding charge, running over enemies. Originally, it didn't have any insignia emblazoned on it, but when the Rebels stole crucial blueprints from the Regular Army a couple of weeks before the Garbage Heap Escapade, they built a version featuring their logo. This prompted the Regular Army to produce versions displaying their own insignia to avoid public confusion.
It excels in combat against large enemies, thanks to its ability to fire diagonally, similar to the Slug Gunner's minigun and heavy machine gun. This capability significantly enhances its line of fire. In terms of mobility, the Slug Armor moves faster on foot and can use its hover pack to perform a sliding charge while crouching, potentially running over enemies. Although it can move freely and fire its weapons while crouched, it cannot jump or attack upwards until it stands upright again.
The Landseek is a Rebel Army transport half-track vehicle repurposed by the Regular Army, who seized scraps and a partially damaged unit during their investigation of remaining Arabian Infantry troops in Riyadh during the Extraterrestrial Alliance Clash. The cyan-coloured vehicle is utilised to transport friendly forces over long distances across enemy lines. Compared to the original, the Landseek's most notable upgrade is its significantly strengthened armour, enabling it to withstand anti-tank weaponry. However, its glass and fabric components remain vulnerable to damage.
The M-15A Bradley is a Rebel Army missile tank repurposed by the Regular Army, who dispatched Intelligence Agency agents to steal data on this tank during the Extraterrestrial Alliance Clash. Regular Army personnel commonly refer to it as Brad. The tank has been modified to feature a lighter green color, and several upgrades have been implemented. These upgrades include the addition of a Vulcan cannon mounted on the side and modified missile launchers capable of firing at twice the range of its original counterpart. Furthermore, it has gained the ability to propel itself using rocket boosters.
The Hi-Do is a repurposed Rebel Army tandem rotor helicopter that the Regular Army obtained shortly after the capture of General Morden, acquiring the original aircraft and using it as a basis for their own modified version. Renamed to the Regular Army Helicopter, it's utilised for transporting personnel and Slugs. Similar to the Rebel Army's Hi-Do, it features a homing missile compartment within its nose. However, it lacks the Gatling gun mounted underneath, instead sporting a hatch that opens to deploy a hoist for lifting soldiers. This hatch is also equipped with a powerful magnet capable of carrying large metal crates. Notably, the helicopter has undergone a significant design overhaul, bearing a striking resemblance to the Regular Army Transport Helicopter in Metal Slug 3D.
The Type 95 Ha-Gō is a tankette bearing the Division 6 insignia, frequently utilised by Division 6 special forces operatives and soldiers. Despite being a Type 95 Ha-Gō, its design bears a striking resemblance to the Japonese Tank Soldier in Metal Slug 3. It's capable of firing five cannons simultaneously and launching anti-tank missiles at close range. Initially, only four of these tanks remained before Division 6 joined the Regular Army, after which they were mass-produced specifically for them to use. Many Regular Army and Division 6 personnel commonly refer to it as the Tank Soldier.
The Null Fighter is a single-seat fighter aircraft bearing the Division 6 insignia, featuring a unique design that combines elements of the Mitsubishi A5M carrier-based fighter (cockpit and fuselage) and the Aichi D3A dive bomber (tail). It's equipped with wing-mounted machine guns, capable of unleashing a continuous barrage of bullets. Similar to the Type 95 Ha-Go, there were a handful of Null Fighters available to Division 6, but after their alliance with the Regular Army, mass production began for their use only.
The Crusty Legs is a massive pilot-operated tank developed by the Regular Army and Division 6, designed to pulverize its enemies with its large legs. Only one unit has been produced, and it has been created from the use of Rebel Army tank scraps and salvaged Tuatha Dé Danann technology. When it spots an enemy, it fires two salvos of rolling cannonballs and 7.62mm ammunition rounds. It can power up its special attack, called the Flame Tornado Quadruped, by levitating in mid-air while the base of its feet ignite and generate flames, before charging towards the enemy to burn them. This attack lasts about 10 minutes or stops if the Crusty Legs has taken too much damage.
While the flamethrowers are active, the Crusty Legs replaces its special attack by firing a flaming shot from all three of its cannons. Despite its bulky appearance and slow movement, it’s quite mobile, possessing the ability to evade enemy attacks.

Key topics discussed in this episode:
What Is Geoengineering?
Dane walks us through the science and purpose behind programs like solar radiation management (SRM) and stratospheric aerosol injection (SAI), explaining how they are presented as solutions for climate change. However, these technologies involve dispersing toxic particulates, including aluminum, barium, and graphene, into the atmosphere, with dire environmental and health consequences.
The Role of Weather Control
We unpack the reality of weather warfare. Dane explains how engineered hurricanes, droughts, and floods are being used as tools of manipulation and geopolitical control. These weather events, far from natural, are destroying agriculture and displacing populations, with ripple effects across the globe.
Ozone Layer Depletion
Perhaps the most alarming revelation is the accelerating collapse of the ozone layer due to these programs. Dane provides evidence linking the chemicals used in geoengineering to the erosion of this protective barrier, which shields us from harmful UV radiation. Without immediate action, the damage could lead to irreversible environmental collapse.
The Human and Environmental Cost
Geoengineering is contributing to a rise in neurological diseases, respiratory issues, and immune system disorders in humans, as well as mass die-offs in animal and plant species. Dane shares compelling data on the presence of heavy metals in soil, water, and air samples, highlighting the connection between these toxic substances and declining biodiversity.

What do you think being in prison was actually like for All For One? We know he lies A LOT, so I don't think he's nearly as unaffected as he's shown or rather not shown I guess 😓
Thinking deeper on afo's imprisonment it's actually a lot more disturbing the more I think about it.
What afo is going through is basically solitary confinement 24/7. Guns constantly pointed at him ready to headshot him the second he tries tapping into his quirk or squirms too much. Unable to move at all from the neck down due to restraints. So many sensors it leaves him either completely vulnerable or overstimulated at worst. We never see him lying down either. He's always sitting which is painfull and extremely detrimental to a person's health and mobility if done for long hours without standing up.
I know he's an S rank criminal and super dangerous because the only person who could defeat him (All Might) retired, but you're telling me this futuristic society couldn't do anything more humane with all that tech other than shoving him into a death trap? (I wanted to call it a Saw death trap, but I never watched any of the Saw films ummm)
There's also the more creepy implication to questions like how does afo go to the bathroom in Tartarus. There's no way they just let him walk up to a toilet/urinal 😨
All For One is no stranger to dehumanization and he takes almost everything in stride even Tartarus from the looks of it, but that one panel where he almost begs All Might to not go always stuck out to me.
Sorry for the long essay. I just wanted to say something about this and chat with a fellow All For One fan.
you don't need to apologize, it's an interesting topic!
I think afo's time in prison affected him more deeply than he would ever admit. look how they had him ->

strapped to a metal slab, not being able to move his limbs at all, alone for hours constantly being watched and he doesn't have access to his quirks that allow him to navigate the world so he's completely blind here. oh let's not forget that if he thinks about activating a quirk or makes a sudden movement the guns pointed at his head will automatically shoot him. also like you said being in a sitting position for a long period of time will end up being detrimental to your health.
tartarus whole existence is a violation of human rights and that's without mentioning the disgusting way the guards treat the prisoners. yes they did evil things, but I think dehumanization of any group of people is a dangerous road to walk on and can lead to horrific things committed against said group because it's easier to justify doing horrid things to others if you think the other party isn't even human. with all the amazing quirks and technology that is available it's a surprise to see that they haven't come up with a better way to deal with imprisoned villains. maybe it's because they don't care to come up with a better solution because once again they don't see them as humans so why should they bother trying to make their living situation more bearable? awful stuff.
too bad we don't see anyone from our main cast really question this type of treatment, but oh well. I guess it's implied some things did change as we see spinner was allowed to write and publish a book while in prison (doubt they let him free to do it). so he's not strapped to a metal chair all day like the other prisoners we saw. unless he's getting some special treatment, I don't know the story doesn't really tell us about what happened with him after his confrontation with izuku. only shows us that he managed to publish his book.
BUT back to the main question, what was being in prison in like for afo? honestly, I think he had to fight to stay sane while down there. being in those conditions for a long period of time will wear down your sanity. you saw how desperate he was for all might to stay and talk with him despite him being someone he hates. probably the thought of getting yoichi back kept him going, after all when he's down there he gets excited when he's able to hear his voice for the first time in over a century. even the guards freaked out because his the monitor tracking his vitals went crazy when he heard it.
still I think the whole experience disturbs him more than he would ever admit and it was traumatic but he just shoves down in order to focus on the goal ahead of him. no time to process any of that he's got a brother to catch
#also in universe one of the guards has mentioned the prison has been accused of violating human rights so yeah#but uh they probably had a catheter on him so he could urinate#anyways I'm surprised no quirk suppression cuffs exist but whatever

Has any of the Arc's spared with Cardin since the explosion. Like I can see why Goodwitch wouldn't let Cardin fight any of them. Grimm Arc has a strong chance of "accidently" killing him. Commissar Arc has a strong chance of deliberately killing him and while Russian Arc is unlikely to kill him it would be so one sided that no one would learn anything, guy with a Tesla gun and being to old to deal with bullshit Vs a guy in metal armour
The reason why none of the Jaune's had spared with Cardin is do to him Still in the nurses office from his severe injuries. Cardin has 80% of his body burned to the crisp, as well having his entire bones shattered and broken from just being slammed to the ground. And it’s considered that Nikolai went very delicately easy on him, because to him Cardin is a fragile little cockroach that can be easily crashe underneath his boot.
but if we talking about how powerful each of Jaune’s are, it’s very simple.
Commissar Arc #3: he is very skilled Swordsman and gunslinger, his capable with every weapon that imperium has, he even knows how to use some of the Xenos weapons, which he prefer not to use at all due to him not wanting to touch the heretical technology of the Xenos. his semblance Which he considered and very believes that is the God Empress blessing, the Empress light that’s what he calls his semblance allows him to see the corruption of chaos within any men, such example a heretical inquisitor that was part of cult that was planning to destroy a industrial world, was identified by him later on executed by the Inquisition and the green Knight. The Emperor holy light grants him powers that should him from any whispers corruption of chaos making him immune to their powers, he’s only vulnerable when he’s aura is shattered. But despite everything, the commissar is still a simple mortal man, yes he very skilled in battle and in mind, but compared to the other Jaune’s he is the least powerful.
Grimm Arc #2: he is very powerful human Grimm hybrid, His powers given by the God of darkness, allows him to control and create any Grimm he can imagine. His primarily uses his dark magic that makes his enemies fall to fear and despair upon them. Grimm Arc prefers to use stealth and infiltration tactics, he likes to play with his enemies before union doom upon them. he is very sadistic towards his enemies using his semblance and magic to spread chaos to his enemies. He can make his body parts to change into anything he wants like lawn claws, shark tail, wings, or tentacles that he usually prefer to rip apart his enemies peace by peace. Grimm is indeed a very powerful one, but he still has his limits to his power, as well, he still learning how to use them.
Soviet Arc #1: He is the most skilled and Powerful out of all Jaune’s, as said earlier, his semblance and aura has mutated when he was living on earth. it changed his physical body, making him stronger, faster, smarter, and many other things that pass any talented people. His semblance aura amplification has mutated that he can generate his aura non-stop giving him endless reserve of aura, as well, he can amplify every part of his body non-stop to the point that he semblance works automatically with without him noticing at all. His embodiment of a living weapon, he cannot be injured as his body can regenerate any damage, including damage limbs or destroyed organs or anything else. Nikolai is considered the most powerful and dangerous man that exist on earth and remnant. Because of his powers and skills he gained many titles by he’s enemies during many wars he was a part of. The Butcher of London, The Pillager of Paris, Soviet Dracula, And most famously Warmaster. and he has many titles given by his allies and his people. Liberator of Africa, protector of the week, angel of salvation, Marshall of Justice. Nikolai is considered the most powerful and most dangerous out of all Jaune’s, even though he haven’t showed his full power and all of his abilities, so only God knows what this man truly capable of.
so basically his the least of how powerful each of the Jaune’s is. Do you know that I didn’t put everything that I wanted to write as I didn’t want to spoil everything just yet, there’s still many things about Jaune’s that I didn’t show yet. So stick around and you will see what the powers and ability each of them have.

A Nothing
Author’s note: More of Torglite in Husbandry
Summary: Gets access to one of the tech labs in the Chaos Base due to his close bond with Hura.

Torglite is shown to one of the tech marine specific areas of the Chaos Base that Hura has burrowed into and set up in. He listens to the rules he must follow in order to remain at this base and gain access to the technological labs on the base.
And Hura gives him a very firm look, "The base line humans of ancient Terra must be the ones to produce the marvels of technology, not gifted it, not in part, in whole, or by schematics. For if we help them move forward too fast, we could potentially smother humanity in it's cradle."
"Fair enough," Torglite says with some hesitance, "We wouldn't want that. Or to cause The Sorcerer Kings to rise early."
"No, we wouldn't want that either." Hura agreed.
"This, this Bond thing," Torglite says, "It's... sounds incomprehensible."
"Ah- that," Hura says with a fond smile," I have a Bonded."
"I had noticed you seem, much changed brother," Torglite had replied, "noticed the softening, and was wondering if you had come here from an earlier time or... what that manipulative tactic was for. Even though we both know I owe you far too much to try and betray you."
"Oh, my darling brother," Hura says with a laugh, "Me? Manipulative?"
"Yes. you." Torglite says bluntly. "I have known you for longer than I'd care to state out loud."
"That blade cuts both ways, brother," Hura says with a touch of warning in his voice.
Torglite watches him and bows his head a little, "So... this Bonded of yours... what are they like?"
Hura allows the unsubtle change of conversation as his whole body, and face lights up as he talks about his beloved mouse, and what she is like and how much he loves her.
"I could make a gift for one you love so much," Torglite offers.
"What kind of gift?" Hura asks tilting his helm.
"It would look like jewelry," Torglite says, some of his mechadendrites moving a little, "And it would be in part, jewelry, but it would also be a tracker, of where they are at all times, and monitor their health."
"... That would be something I'd like to gift my little mouse," Hura says, the sudden need for such a thing is intense.
"Are there colors they prefer for the 'gems' of the jewelry? Color of the metal?" Torglite asks.
Hura tilts his head and thinks about it and answers what he knows to be true on their preferences for metals and gems for colors in the jewelry that they wear.
