TF2 Mercs X Gender Neutral Mexican Reader Headcanons:
Haven’t seen any TF2 Mercs x Mexican Reader on here yet (if there is any, let me know) and felt that, as a Mexican, this is something we need- For both half and full Mexicans! We don’t discriminate here!!
Scout:
-He thinks you’re so cool!!
-Regardless if you’re full or half Mexican, he wants to learn about your culture!!
-If you make this man a whole Mexican buffet, he might ask you to marry him on the spot-
-He loves listening to you speak Spanish (if you know any) and will ask if you can teach him some (he fucks it up so much though, but he’s trying)!
-When the end of October (to early November) rolls around, you teach him about Dia De Los Muertos and he’s so amazed and appreciates the fact that we accept Death and mourn our loved ones in a healthy way-
-When he learns about your family, he asks to meet them (cue to him sweating like crazy ‘cause he’s so nervous about meeting them), and they all get along with him great!!
-He’ll try his hardest to learn dances and the music that goes along with it, he wants to make you proud, after all!!
Spy:
-Like his son, he thinks you’re amazing!
-He asks different questions about your culture, mainly about the music, language and dances.
-He loves hearing you speak Spanish, and compliments you in both French and English.
-He’ll go with you to Mexican-owned stores and purchase things for you (especially if you’re feeling homesick), and the owners love him for it (that, and because he’s kind to them)-
-He even tries to learn Spanish, but doesn’t struggle to speak it as bad as his son (and it sounds l o v e l y).
-When you tell him about different Mexican holidays, he makes sure to get all details so he can buy the correct supplies for the holidays.
Sniper:
-He finds your culture wonderful, especially about the family thing (you know why)-
-He can’t speak Spanish for shit, but he loves hearing you say it and will often just stare at you with love and adoration.
-While he can’t understand the Spanish being spoken in music, he enjoys it especially when you sing along and get excited about it.
-When you tell him about Dia De Los Muertos, he listens, taking notes and asking questions- After all, this is about loved ones and death, and your culture and love for it, it matters to him a lot-
-Also, make this man a whole Mexican buffet, he needs it-
Soldier:
-While he is proud of and passionate about America, he’s the same about your culture too!!
-Surprisingly, he can understand Spanish and even speaks some of it (but he doesn’t remember all of it) and loves to hear you speak it!
-He loves the food you make too! He’ll often ask for seconds (or least until he’s full)!
-If he ever meets your family, make sure to warn them that he yells (otherwise they might become afraid of him). He treats them with respect and will try to communicate with them as much as possible!
-He treats Dia De Los Muertos with the same respect as he would treat a good, fellow fallen soldier! He even participates by helping add the Marigolds around the ofrenda!
Heavy:
-He thinks you and your culture is amazing and how passionate you are about yours like how he is his, makes his heart m e l t-
-He loves your culture’s food and loves how filling and made with love it is!!
-He can’t speak Spanish, he’s tried- But he appreciates you trying to help him learn and speak it (but he’d rather listen to you speak it).
-He’s serious about Dia De Los Muertos and even introduces himself to your deceased loved ones, asking for their blessings-
-He’ll often bob his head or tap his foot to the music you listen to, despite the fact he can’t understand or sing along to it.
-Your family loves this gentle giant, and often asks when he’ll be back!
Engineer:
-He thinks you’re the sweetest and loves how passionate you are about your culture!!
-Since Texas is home to a lot of Mexicans and he’s been around them before, he knows how to speak Spanish and understands it (which surprises you when he could understand you)!
-He appreciates how we approach death and lost loved ones and treats Dia De Los Muertos seriously- Like Heavy, he’ll introduce himself to your loved ones, asking how they are and such!
-He would d i e for your food, and even suggests cooking together for your family!
-Speaking of family, they absolutely love him!! They’ll often joke about him being your husband (which never fails to make him blush)-
Demoman:
-Thinks you’re so fucking amazing, along with your culture!!
-He can’t speak Spanish when sober, but can speak it when drunk??
-He loves and needs your cooking, it especially helps him when he’s hungover (which is a lot).
-He loves to dance with you to the music you listen to, regardless if drunk or not-
-He loves Dia De Los Muertos since it reminds him to live life happily with you and accept death as a part of life- He even asks if he can add his parents to the ofrenda (which of course, you say “yes”)!
-When he meets your family and see how well he fits in, they’re quick to adopt him (which makes him s o b)-
Pyro:
-Loves your culture and you!!
-They live off of your cooking and would rather eat it whenever they can (no offense, Engi)!
-They love to dance and sing to the music you listen to, as they speak and understand Spanish (how? You don’t know!)!
-They love to look at the candles on the ofrenda when Dia De Los Muertos is happening and even say “HI” to your loved ones!!
-They’re always happy to be apart of your culture’s holidays, big or small!!
-Your family found them to be scary at first, but when seeing how they are and how they play with the younger ones of your family, they’re quick to accept them into the family with open arms!!
Medic:
-He thinks your culture is beautiful, like you!!
-He can’t speak Spanish either, but does understand it! He’ll just look at you with such love and adoration, you forget to continue speaking!
-He loves your cooking, and since he forgets to eat most of the time, your cooking is the best way to make sure he has a full stomach!
-He loves to dance with you to the music you listen to, especially with candles lit up around you!
-Your family is amazed that you’re with a doctor (shh, they don’t know if he’s still got his license or not), and ask a bunch of questions about his job (though, you have to remind him to keep it calm and not scare them)! They love him though and treat him as one of their own!

Ian Emmanuel González Santos from Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco isn’t your standard teenage boy.
At 13 years old, his profound interest in biology made him break some serious records. In fact, the Mexican child genius has now become the youngest molecular biologist in the world. He will get another degree from the University of Guadalajara this month.
He explained that although “it feels good knowing you can learn faster and understand complex subject matters,” his intelligence “made it harder to relate to kids his age.” Still, he has a Master’s degree and another diploma on the way — plus some big dreams to cure diseases.
As per Debate México, Ian learned to read and speak perfectly at three years old and quickly became interested in molecular biology.
By seven, the child genius worked on a study about melanocyte regeneration in patients with vitiligo.
As destiny would have it, Ian soon met a biomedical science professor at the University Center of Exact Sciences and Engineering, an entity of the University of Guadalajara.
The professor invited Ian to his class one day, which made the child realize his dream of becoming a pharmaceutical biochemist.
Ian told Debate that after the class, he realized, “Here is where I need to study, here is where they teach microbiology, chemistry, molecular biology, genetics, and all the subjects I like.”
Eventually, Ian’s mother knew it was time to transfer him to the university
As per Nación 321, Ian began his university career at nine years old. We know, it’s almost unheard of.
After receiving his certificates for primary, secondary and high school, the child prodigy transferred over to the University of Guadalajara. He told Informador, “I felt much better in university since there were more subjects.” Explaining, “They went deeper [into the subjects] just like I wanted.”
While he is already the world’s youngest molecular biologist, he will graduate with a pharmaceutical biochemistry degree on May 31. This means he will become the University of Guadalajara’s youngest graduate in history.
Ian’s dream is to continue his work in molecular biology, conducting studies and finding cures for diseases.
While he might go for his doctoral degree soon, he told Univision that studying at university is “extremely exciting, something [he] dreamed of and wanted.”
Saying, “The fact I’m achieving it is incredible.”

You know what. It sucks being so close to Q3 but he wasn’t that far off Lando so I say that’s pretty good in a car you dont trust.

Mercedes explain Hamiltons engine cut-outs during Mexican Grand Prix | 2022 Mexican Grand Prix
Mercedes’ motorsport strategy director James Vowles has explained the engine cut-outs Lewis Hamilton experienced during the Mexican Grand Prix weekend.
Hamilton qualified third despite his engine briefly cutting out at times. The problem recurred in the race, where Hamilton finished second, and team mate George Russell also experienced delays in power delivery.
Mercedes revealed the problems arose due to difficulties in optimising due to the unique conditions of the high-altitude Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City, which sits 2,285 metres above sea level.
“You generally map the engine for the conditions it is most used in which is sea level,” explained Vowles in a video released by the team. “That’s where most of the racing takes place.
“When you suddenly go to these levels of altitude you are in a very different condition and instead of having an engine that is really highly-tuned you are back into a condition where you have to do lots of work with the power unit in a very short space of time to try and map out these irregularities. I am confident all teams will suffer this, it won’t be unique to ourselves.”
The problem was particularly acute in qualifying, where it began to emerge on Hamilton’s car at the end of Q2. That, plus a mistake on his first lap in Q3 which led to his lap time being deleted for a track limits infringement, saw Hamilton slip to third on the grid having been quickest in the first two stages of qualifying.
“It’s typically accentuated in qualifying because you are very quickly and rapidly applying the throttle pedal which means that the turbo and fuelling systems need to keep up with that change very quickly,” Vowles explained.
“Normally it’s better in the race. We were hoping that the race would not be as bad and it comes from a factor when the drivers are requesting throttle and picking up throttle it was simply not delivering the power they request quick enough, so [not] enough fuel or enough air.
“It can be tuned out in time and where we got to in the race wasn’t a bad position, I think qualifying was worse. But still enough to cause a small amount of performance loss for both drivers.”
