The thing that gets me about Miguel and Jess being mad at Miles for breaking Pavitr’s canon is that it’s kinda not really canon... The canon is stuff that is destined to happen in each world on their own, right? Well, Captain Singh wouldn’t have been in peril saving that little girl on his own that particular day. It only happened because Spot was there wrecking Alchemax. Spot who was made by Miles. It’s a whole chain effect that pretty much boils down to Captain Singh wouldn’t have died if Miles wasn’t there because it wouldn’t happen in the first place. So if he saves Captain Singh from a scenario he (inadvertently) created, is he really breaking the canon?

On this day, the anniversary of Miles Morales’ first appearance, we should remember his beginnings, his original Ultimate comics that introduced this courageous little boy who overcame his fear of what being Spider-Man would mean for his future
Who proved himself ten times over to those who thought he didn’t belong
Who made the choice to throw himself to a world he knew killed good people like him every day
Who faced the horrors
Who learned the hard way that no matter how much he doesn’t understand it, there will always be people who’ll do anything for all the power and none of the responsibility
Who deep down only wanted the best for people
Who hit his breaking point and came back stronger than ever

Miles 🩷
Anyways it’s really cool that marvel had a character who was suddenly introduced into a new timeline where they didnt previously exist and has to deal with the ramifications of that alongside the loss of their previous mentor figure and friends.
And its really on brand that they barely explored any of that with miles and made up a new white boy with some extra fanfiction style sad ritz to have that storyline instead 🤡
