Today, I would like to introduce the merchandise for my “Wakana 5th Anniversary Live ~The “VOICE“Stories~” which will be held on May 12! ️🥳🎉 First up is the T-shirt!!👕 With the live title in mind, I designed a logo with a book📖 When you open it, you'll discover five years' worth of stories in it...I wanted the illustration to capture that feeling✨ The T-shirt is a refreshing light blue colour. The material is soft and very comfortable! 🤗 ↑Btw, I am wearing a size L here👍

Good news, the acrylic stand is now available for purchase in Wakana's Official Online Shop! For some reason, it wasn't featured in yesterday's line-up so I was afraid they wouldn't make it available for those who couldn't attend the live.

My October toy haul finally arrived! Yay! I was finally able to get a grail for me, that I've been after for a long, long time. It is by a Chinese company, that made figures for their Chinese market only. They were unlicensed, but they weren't making copied products, only their own original sculpts based on licenses they didn't hold. They are no longer around, and this figure is from 2014, and quite huge for such a figure. I wish Nendoroids were as big (Sasuke Nendo released in 2017, so no, not a copy of that), or at least Q Poskets were this big. But then they would be $100USD, instead of $20-30. I wasn't able to get it back when it was released, so it took a whole lot of waiting, but finally, one of my friends saw one and asked right away if I still wanted it, even if it was opened! I wish it was still sealed, but oh well, I can't pass this opportunity, since I don't know if I'll ever come across this figure again in my lifetime. If I do, and it's sealed, I'll get it again! Lol!

I also got my first ever U-Noa doll! It's the one produced by Sekiguchi, but I can't say I don't love the idea that it's not resin. I wish it was a head sculpt with inset eyes, so that it would have that OG U-Noa Azurite feeling, but beggars can't be choosers. I also wish it was one of the more roker-themed ones, with clothes that are closer to t-shirt and jeans, or even better straight rock/punk-ish, but I will settle for this one. Since, this is the only one I'll probably ever be able to get -- I don't believe I have ever seen them on my regular Japanese retailers before, I don't feel I'll get to see another for pre-order as easily ever again. He is a beautiful doll, and I love him, but I wish his clothes or at least his hair was darker, in theme. I love all the Sasuke stuff; I hope to be able to get a second of the Figuarts Zero to unbox one. I already have a second Vibration Stars III waiting in Japan to be shipped. My Eren Suit PUP has a right eye that's bigger than the left... I don't know how to feel about that...But I do love the clear file. I should really stop hoarding those. DX

Also added three Nanana Surprise Minis Series 2, I was able to find locally! I got one from series one from Amzn, back when those released, but I never saw them locally. I fear I completely missed out on getting CJ Cuddles, and so I just got the three from this series I really wanted, before I can't find them in stores anymore. I am also eyeing the kitty one... we'll see, if I get her as well.

March was productive in different ways. I've done more art this month than I have in like ten years and it feels so GOOD. I don't know that I could ever handle making any sort of living off of art, but the idea of making cute little keychains seems more attainable right now than it did last month when it felt like just a Silly Little Idea brought on by ADHD.

I haven't been cooking a whole lot because food hurts again but I'm going to ignore that for another month or two because I'm scared of the doctor lolololol

Audiobooks have changed my LIFE and it feels so weird to say that when for nearly 30 years they were just noise to me. For months and months I was happy to get through two books a month, and in March I got through FIVE! And started a sixth! And a bunch of them were on my list of books I wanted to read this year! Who even am I right now.

The Old Guard was very good 10/10 would watch again. SIF has been terminated and I'm sad about it but SIF2 should be available for the US sometime later this year so YAY

I have some more crafts I need to do this month that I still can't talk about or share, but I'm having a fun time so that's what counts! The only solid book plans I have are to reread Small Angry Planet for book club which is *checks notes* next week. I'd say send me book recommendations but lets be real, as soon as someone says "READ THIS" I lose interest.

My doctor had me split my dose to morning and lunch in order to minimize the negative side effects (which is working, yay!), which means I now need a keychain pill box

And from my era of fidget jewelry, I know that I like my symptom management tools to be:

Small so they're easy to carry and use out-of-sight if I want

Stylish/cool so it's more fun to use and I get to feel like I'm showing off my cool object when someone asks about it instead of like awkwardly explaining it's related to a medical diagnosis

A lot of them on Etsy are too textured or pretty or big or unsubtle or boring or just not on a keychain, but I found one person who gets soda+beer can designs on the normal capsule keychain shape, and they also have canned croissant dough and mini m&ms and a battery design which is the funniest for me because I need it for stimulant medication. And then there's a few people making really cute acorns which I think are the cutest while being the least obvious that it's a pill box.... i think I might get both and use one as my backup stash at work..... but then I still have to decide which one lives with my house keys

April Shopping 1

As I mentioned in my previous post, CDJapan has decided to ship out all the packages/orders that were held because of the suspension of the SAL shipping method - with airmail and without any extra cost, which I really appreciated. In my case it meant 7 (yes, you read right SEVEN) packages, which arrived in 2 weeks. Hence the variety of different fandoms: Promare, Mairimashita Iruma-kun, Given, HQ!!, JJK, Naruto, Tensura...

I finally received my copy of Twittering Birds vol 4 (limited first print) - the first one never made it, so had to reorder it. I got the latest Finder and Natsume volume as well. The GIVEN movie desktop calendar made it to me as well - too bad Mafuyu’s page is over (he was in the January/February page).

Let’s see the figures: I like the Pop Up Parade Series - for that price level you can get a quite decent figure. I did a comparison shot for Lio with the ARTFX J figure and there you can see why the later cost a lot more. However, this is my first non-chibi Galo figure and I’m happy with it. :) As for the Rimuru figure - it’s my first Figuarts Mini figures and I’m really surprised how nice it is. It is a bit like nendos, but cheaper (half the price or less) and much less extra parts. The details of the eyes are amazing - some 3D painting technique they used and it shows. They are a good alternative for nendos if you don’t mind the less extra parts and extra faces (plus the box takes up much less space XD).

Plushies! I am weak - when I see Megumi’s demon dogs, I have to have them. Especially if they come as a package, like with these plush keychains. They are bigger than I expected - as so soft! ♥

Talking about JJK - with this keychain set I did not have to face the nightmare of blind package - in the box you have all characters of the set. Yay! Love this set, especially because it has Nanamin in it!

Up next are the HQ!! ‘tree’ acrylic standees. I loved those images so much, had to have them - all of them, of course. They look stunning!

Haikyuu!! stamps are silly little gadgets but they are cheap and cute, and the set contained 18 characters! I love how almost all the Jackal boys got in the orange team. XD

I received another Nyaruto set! I never thought they would include Zabuza and Haku in any of these sets, so when they I saw them, I knew I needed this. I pre-ordered one last set which will come out in September, but I stop collecting and buying them after that.

Last but not least, a few other things I got: GaLio mug and rubber straps, AshEiji clearfile, Pash! Illustration File 2020 and a textile mask with the logo of Inarizaki.

My local Walmart had some new Barbie stuff! Only 177 and 180 weirdly, but new fashion/accessory packs. I got the shoes for the colors, and this mask pack over the other 2 options (for now) because of the boots. But yay girl face mask now!

Then at goodwill I found this mini sketchers backpack with all real working zippers with real pockets! It’s slightly large for Barbie ;so not a carry on for the air plane) but the correct scaled zippers that work for real pickets totally beats it out. It also lacks any type of keychain connector so idk what this was originally.

That's almost as bad as Chikage's Uso Peten [aka lie trickery] LMAO Tsuzuru why is this play straight up an ace attorney case) **So in the original, Citron says "バンジョー" (banjo), which I'm ASSUMING he actually meant "店長" (tenchou: manager of a shop) or maybe even "番長" (banchou: the boss of a delinquent gang) because that makes no sense otherwise? I also changed the English word to fit better with that... super wiser -> supervisor... I'm trying, guys... ***Taichi's mascot character you can see on his shirt/doodle/various places.

Fridaaay

It’s been a good fucking day.

Remember how I was so considered about that kid coming back? He was actually decent today. Fingers crossed this continues. I had a great class chilling with art club, and a lot of fun dance/rapping the ABCs with kinder.

We got out early for snow (probably shouldn’t have gone to school in the first place, but, eh.)  The roads are driveable....by PA standards, anyway.

Nunu and I had a lovely nap. We shoveled the sidewalk for Mike, with Nunu supervising. Dunc had a short romp in the snow the first time I shoveled. We reeeeally weren’t expecting 5 inches lmao. It’s a big deal down here. Just pulled some Nestle Tollhouse cookies out of the oven, and have a lot of toppings ready for the buffalo shrimp tacos I’m gonna make.

Mike is a sweet supervisor and bargained with the head guy to let the two ladies under him go early so they could get home safe. He’s on his way home and then he’ll log on remotely to cover their shift. He could tell this morning I was hardcore struggling to get out of bed (because yay depression), woke me with the gentlest hand touch, and took Dunc out for me. He is perfect hoosband. I hope we find a solution for the morning anxiety he’s been having. It was so bad he couldn’t swallow this morning :(

Gave Mini-Me the blue/purple “bi” dice I ordered for her yesterday, since smol child is playing D&D now and hell yes I’ll encourage the hell out of that. She was so excited. Plays a barbarian, just like moi. She’s making me a keychain of Rai, which is so cute and sweet.

Now I watch Buzzfeed unsolved and wait for Hoosband to get home.

YAY! YAY! YAY! Let me tell you all about the babies of our ship. I plan on writing a fic with different one shots showing all of them over the years.

Name: Alice Opal Charming (25)

Gender: Female

Generalappearance: Blonde curls for days and blue eyes. She dresses in leggings, skirts, tanks and red flannel. Her favorite pair of shoes are her boots and you’ll have to pry them off her bare feet. Another thing she is extremely protective of is her silver star fish necklace that Rogers gave her for her 10th birthday.

Personality: Two separate puzzles in one box. When she’s on a good high, she’s silly, charming and fun loving. At times, she can be a bit naive. When she forgets to take her pills or is a manic state, she talks even more and makes less sense. She gets very sad and self-destructs. She was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at 13.

Specialtalents: She could probably outrun anyone that came down her path. She won gold at a lot of track meets in high school, got a scholarship for college too.

Whothey like better: She’s extremely close with Rogers, they have this bond that no one could ever break. She’s close with all her parents though. Snow seems to understand her just as well as her papa.

Whothey resemble more: She has Rogers’ eyes and crooked grin. That’s about it.

Personalhead canon: She’s the only one of the kids who is actually not a biological child of Ruby or Snow. Shortly before Rogers formed his poly relationship with his bandmates, he had a one night stand. He didn’t hear from the woman after that. Personality: Sarcastic, sarcastic and did I mention sarcastic? She and Alice were always thick as thieves, getting into trouble growing up. She really does want to help people, but sometimes her attitude says otherwise. Once you get to know her, she really is kind and loving.

Specialtalents: She can pick a lock in under 60 seconds and is a talented break-in artist.

Whothey like better: She’s really close with David, they share the same personality and sense of humor. Really, she’s close with all her parents though. David, like Rogers with Alice, just tends to get her the best.

Whothey resemble more: She’s a good mix of David and Snow. Outside his tact, she has his hair and smile. She has Snow’s eyes, chin and general urge to put herself in danger.

Personalhead canon: Like Tilly, she often found it odd that there were no gay princesses in literature. She came out as bisexual when she was 12. Some people outside the family thought that was too young but Ruby said she was the same age.

She went to college after her boyfriend died to take her mind off things. She doesn’t use her degree, though, at least not in the same way that her parents would’ve expected. She’s a bail bondsperson and enjoys tracking people down. Recently, she began dating a pretty woman named Elsa. It’s the first time she’s felt ready to move on since Bae died.

Gender: Male

Generalappearance: Dark hair and blue eyes. He dresses nicely, a lot of polos and khakis. A suit is not complete without a tie in his opinion. The only one of his siblings to not mind the uniforms at their high school.

Personality: A studious and serious kid. He can crack a joke, but he’s pretty quiet and Ruby jokes he’s probably the kid they could lose for a couple of days and no one would notice. No one gets how a kid from a family of 10 can be this quiet, but he doesn’t even know.

Specialtalents: Gifted with school, which can be a curse. He puts a lot of pressure on himself to do well, even though his parents just want all their kids to try their best. 

Whothey like better: He doesn’t really have a favorite. Snow is studious, so they talk about books and stuff. But he also spends a lot of time on Rogers’ boat.

Whothey resemble more: He looks like a mini-Snow. Rogers says that he used to be a quiet kid, which shocks everyone because he’s not now…at all.

Personalhead canon: He got into Yale University and it’s the first time any of the kids has ever gone far for college. (Emma went to Colby, which was just 90 minutes away.) He misses his family but really enjoys it there. He plans on getting a degree in journalism, minoring in political science,

Name: Charlotte Eva “Charlie” Charming (17)

Gender: Female

Generalappearance: Dark curls and hazel eyes. Tends to dress “woodland”, lots of long sleeved shirts and camo. She’s constantly stealing Emma’s boots. Yet, if she has to dress up, unlike her sisters, she doesn’t mind. She has a wolf necklace that Ruby gave her when she was 13 and it’s her most prized possession.

Personality:She is queen of sarcasm, she can give Emma a run for her money. She is very charming, but can also play bad cop. You never know what to expect from her.

Specialtalents: Snow taught her archery at a young age, she was the only one of the kids with the patience to learn it. She also knows how to sail, like most of her siblings, since Rogers taught her.

Whothey like better:Like  her siblings, she doesn’t have a “favorite”.     However, Ruby always seems to be one step ahead of her, which annoys her to no end, so she ends up ranting to Snow a lot. They have lots of discussions over warm tea with honey. She goes to David and Rogers when she needs cheering up because they always know what to do to make her smile.

Whothey resemble more: She looks a lot like Ruby and Rogers, with Ruby and Snow’s personalities.

Personalhead canon: Like her older siblings, she’s a member of the LGBTQ community. Her parents always knew she was a lesbian like Alice, but she also ended up coming out as asexual this year. She was afraid her parents wouldn’t accept it or think it was real, but they backed her up and said of course it is. She has a girlfriend, who is also ace.

Name: Nora June and Virginia “Ginny” Lark Charming (14)

Gender: Females

Generalappearance: Light brown hair and hazel eyes. Both wear a lot of street clothes. When Alice moved in with Robin, she let them raid her closet for clothes she didn’t wear anymore and they’re good with that. Snow never really got her girly girl to shop with and she’s okay with that. She’s grateful for the dances Charlie lets her take her to.

Personality: Nora is more wise cracking one, always getting into some kind of trouble. Ginny normally goes along for the ride, but is the more sympathetic one. She’s the one you’d go to if you need something or if you wanted Nora to do something.

Specialtalents: Nora is a talented dancer and started taking lessons when she was little. Ginny is an artist, can paint for hours and be content with it. She always has her sketchbook with her.

Whothey like better: Nora is really close with Ruby. Ginny has a special bond with Snow.

Whothey resemble more: They look a lot like David, though they have some aspects of Ruby in there. Both definitely are a mix of David and Snow, despite her not being their biological mom.

Personalhead canon: Both are also gay. Someone once asks their family, “Is anyone in your house straight?” “The dog…probably…but we can’t even ask him that.”

the two of you would probably make breakfast together since its kinda your thing

like you would alternate days on who gets to pick the meal for breakfast

he ends up loving the waffles and wants to make them everyday and it starts to get old and you’re like wHY 

anyways

you two would always reserve weekends for dates

you two do all sorts of things

like go to art museums or gardens or parks

or the typical movie and dinner

but its always an adventure with jeonghan

like when you went to the garden for a date

it was his idea to take aesthetic pictures of each other

and boy did those photos look amazing

you two looked beautiful among all the flowers

and for your birthday

Jeonghan pretended to forget and you being your naive self really thought he did lol

but before you could get all sad and stuff jeonghan surprises you and hands you a collage of all the aesthetic pictures the two of you took that day.

you cried i mean i would too because its freaking jeonghan being a sweetheart

and as he hugged your crying form he did that classic jeonghan smile and it was so pure

sometimes you two would get into deep late night talks

and it was really comforting to know that you both could rely on each other to be shoulders to cry on

one night the deep talk somehow got to the topic of kids

jeonghan admitted he kind of felt scared about being a father

and you’re like don’t you have a bunch of kids already aka 17

he’s like “yeah but that’s different”

“what about Chan?”

“true but you know like a kid from me and you”

cue a blush from you

he blushes a lil omg so cute

and you’re like “i guess we’ll have some whenever we’re both ready”

and he’s like “are you ready?”

soon you figure out you’re in fact pregnant

now that you’re pregnant jeonghan is more protective of you

he tries to look out for you as much as possible making sure you’re safe and well

sometimes he’d make the members look out for you

one time you went to victoria’s secret cause you thought you grew a little bigger

and you saw the best sight ever

chan awkwardly standing and being surrounded by all these bras and panties and a blush spreading across his face

you burst out laughing in the store and everyone stared and once they saw who you were laughing at they stared at chan

chan: i uh um *runs out store*

you tell jeonghan what happened and he dies laughing too but remembers to remind chan not to be awkward and that he is always his first baby

a few months later you find out the baby’s gender

its a girl!!!

both of you freaked out in happiness

jeonghan wanted to go baby shopping after that appointment

you guys ended up buying a bunch of cute smol baby clothes

and a crib

you two basically bought an entire nursery

jeonghan suggested the nursery be painted rose quartz and serenity

and you’re like hell yeah

and that nursery is the most aesthetically pleasing nursery ever omg

then the baby shower came

all the seventeen members were invited of course

they made the event fun and there was even a karaoke machine with all of their songs

 you’re like i love this song

ahem

so they brought gifts

Seungcheol bought a car seat. what a responsible dad

josh got a smol seventeen onesie aww

jun got a mini version of that carrot costume he wore on ofd omg

soonyoung got a cute lil hamster plushie with 10:10 eyes and said its supposed to remind the baby about her fav uncle

wonwoo got a smol version of that plushie with glasses that was supposed to be him in aju nice era and said that the baby will end up liking this gift over soonyoung’s

jihoon got a soft blanket with seventeen’s logo on it with a matching bib along with a seventeen poster to hang up in the nursery

seokmin got a bunch of baby toys so the baby would never be bored and stay happy like him :)

mingyu brought a bongbong plushie that was probably about the same size as the baby once she was born! 

minghao bought a mini kermit like that keychain he has along with a smol baby sized sunglasses. he told jeonghan to make sure she dabs in them

Seungkwan got a baby t shirt that said “seungkwan stan”

hansol got a stitch stuffed toy

chan got a onesie that said “jeonghan’s baby” to clarify that he is not his baby when in fact his own daughter is

you gushed at all the gifts so much that your hormonal ass started crying

“aww dont cry (y/n)!” said jeonghan as he hugged you

the members copied jeonghan and you all ended up in a giant group hug

you were so thankful though 

then the day finally came

your water breaks!!

you’re like uhhh whAT DO I DO

so you scream for your husband

“y/n what happened?”

“uhhh my water just broke???”

“oh. OH!”

you two make it to the hospital and you felt like you were dying

so you decided to take it out on jeonghan

you squeezed his hand so hard you were surprised when it was still attached to his arm afterwards

anyways your daughter finally arrives!!!

yay!!!

and jeonghan is smiling but tears are flowing down his face

it was a beautiful sight

a tiredly attractive crying smiling jeonghan holding his tiny newborn daughter for the first time

you cried too

then the baby cried

but omg you both fell in love with your daughter

you two agreed on naming her (d/n)

and seventeen fanboyed when they saw her for the first time

jeonghan was so protective omg he would make sure they were holding her right 

the nurse took a family photo and even one including seventeen

those two pictures are framed in (d/n)’s room!

when you both came home jeonghan didn’t expect to lose so much sleep

he’s normally sleepy af and he’s even tireder with his beautiful daughter screaming at 3 am

he’s a secret gentleman so he tells you to go back to sleep when she starts crying

just because you two are parents doesn’t mean everything you used to do is on hold.

you started continuing date nights after (d/n) was a few months old and trusted seventeen to babysit her

you and jeonghan always took family photos

and the both of you were obsessed with your daughter

matching family outfits happened often

one date you two decided to go to the aesthetic garden and recreate the aesthetic pictures except this time you each held (d/n)

and for jeonghan’s birthday you gave him a collage similar to the one he made you except it included the updated pictures with (d/n)

he was so happy omg

overall a happy marriage

you two ended up having another kid and it was a girl this time too!

the both of you watched them grow up 

aww

and as time passed, you and jeonghan loved each other more and more each day

honestly jeonghan is the cutest husband

and funnest

I get really anxious, and I recently bought a fidget cube and it strangely works wonders! But when school starts up again, I won't be able to use it (the small switch which I use almost constantly makes too much noise and I wouldn't want to be the one to get cubes banned from school) I was wondering if you had any alternative (quiet) ideas? something small I could hide under my desk or in my sweat shirt pocket that wouldn't distract those around me?

Not that I have any concern about your being the one to cause a ban (the fault with that lies with teachers, the school and the education system, not the individual user) but I really appreciate the thought you’re putting in to be able to look after your needs with minimum impact on others.

I’m so glad you’ve got a cube and it’s working for you! Yay for stimming!

You might like to check out our Household Stim Toys ask, as almost everything there is small and pocket-sized, and things like marbles, screws and cotton balls are going to be quiet when held in a palm. You also might like to look at our Subtle/Classroom Fidgets ask, as most of these things are small, subtle or quiet.

Now, stim toys that are small and absolutely or very nearly quiet:

Hedge balls / porcupine balls / hedge creatures: small balls or animals shaped like a ball with protruding spikes, some stretchable (I mean you can pull on the spikes), some not. These are hand-sized and make no noise. My hedge monkeys are stretchable and don’t even make noise when stretched.

Edamame poppers: a pea-shaped popper with three peas you can push up from the pod. Makes a negligible creaking sound. Not all that durable under heavy stimming, but extremely cool.

Wooden bolts and screws: makes the slightest of scratching sounds when the bolt is twisted up and down the thread of the screw. Durable, great for constant repetitive movement, has great texture.

Bottle corks: great if you want something to pick at, only a slight scraping noise made by a section of the cork peeling away, a little bit messy.

Stretchy squish balls: quiet, so mouldable and stretchable, stress ball perfection. I need to see if I can find an online source for these things, because Stimtastic can’t keep them in stock and my local Lincraft is now sold out. These are a little bigger than most things on this list, but they are so nice, I can’t not include them.

Marble mazes and marble loops: absolutely silent, great for keeping your hands moving. Marble loops are like to be more portable and easier to use in the classroom, although if you DIY your maze, you can make it in whatever size you need.

Squishies: some are way too big for subtle stimming, but mochi squishies are tiny and readily portable (although they do collect dust and lint like nothing else). Silent and squishy. Note that some might have a strong smell, which might be an issue for people around you. The mochi squishes, at least the few I’ve handled, don’t have a strong smell, so I think these should be okay for classroom use.

Stress balls: particularly foam stress balls and DIY balloon stress balls. The DIY balloon ones can be made as small as you like; foam stress balls come in mini sizes, often in the party favours section of a department store or dollar shop.

Puzzle, kneadable and capsule erasers: all silent. Puzzle erasers (Iwako-style) can be pulled apart and put back together; kneadable erasers are like a portable putty that’s easy to justify; capsule erasers have textures to touch and make a great worry stone.

Chenille knobbly pencil cases: quiet, stimmy, as stealth as anything. If you don’t find stroking does a lot for you, you might not want this as your main stim, but it’s a great back-up stim, especially as most of us need a pencil case anyway.

Mini Koosh balls and smaller puffer balls: silent, small enough to roll in your palms, has fronds that you can pick and pull at.

Makeup blending sponges: palm size, silent, squishable. Good for rolling, rubbing and squeezing.

Tassel and pompom/fluffy keychains: can be attached to your pencil case, quiet. Depending on design, good for braiding, twisting, stroking, tugging, rolling through hands.

Chain fidgets: all the DIY ones I made myself click, but I’ve handled professionally-made chain fidgets and they were absolutely silent. This might vary from fidget to fidget, though, so this one might be a little risky.

Telephone cord bracelets: inexpensive, can be worn on wrists as jewellery or in hair as hair ties, subtle, can be twisted between fingers like a Tangle. Sometimes make a slight noise when twisted.

Lastly, if you want to try a Tangle, they all click some, but the Tangle Jr Fuzzy is generally quietest - the coating of flocking cushions the plastic pieces from clicking as they touch together. It will still make some noise (Tangles aren’t very loud anyway) but not as much as a regular Tangle Jr. In this case, I wouldn’t get the cheap ebay Tangles, as they’re generally louder than my branded Tangles.

A last note on safety:

Toys like mochi squishies, puffer creatures, stretchy squish balls, DIY stress balls and Koosh balls might present a problem for folks with latex allergies. Anything made from that kind of rubbery plastic, I believe. Some people just can’t touch them and some people can’t even be in the same room as a balloon skin. I bring this up not to stop people from using these stim toys, but just to note that it can be a concern. If you need to quietly approach your teacher and ask if anyone in the classroom has those allergies, do so. Same applies for scented items and noisy items. We can stim with these, but we need to be mindful about the people around us and open to feedback from those who sit beside/behind/around us. There’s a difference between that creaking sound is getting on my last nerve and that stimming is weird, stop it. The last we can and should ignore; the first asks us to do the adult thing of trying to negotiate a compromise. This is another of the many reasons having a wide and varied stim kit is a good idea, so we have options if a favourite toy is dangerous, distracting or difficult in any given environment.
