I feel you. Bullying made me fed up with this fandom too and I nearly quit it because of the hate group that created a "Pound the Mochi" discord to obsessively hate on and plan attacks on me and anyone else they didn't like. Some of them who used to be my friends all blocked me and largely gave me the silent treatment, only to "teasingly" dogpile me in the SenShi Bang discord. And because they blocked me they made burner accounts to stalk my socials and infiltrate my own art discord so they could keep tabs on me. They were looking for my personal information as well and it always crosses my mind that they could show up on my doorstep because I have been told by multiple sources that their behavior in these private chats are unhinged and yeah maybe I should be worried about that.

I noticed that a lot of the people in my hate group are also in the notes of this post liking, reblogging, or saying they can attest to what is posted-- which is hilarious because not only have they been terrorizing me for a year for reasons they refuse to explain, they've also used their experience from this zine as justification to bully and harass other creators, some of them off of this platform and out of fandom all together.

No one deserved to be harassed or shit on or run out of fandom, but it doesn't mean we make another mean girl cult in response.

Want to be very clear I'm not saying you or replicarters are part of this or anything, so I'm sorry for responding to your post and on replicarters' post to begin with, but it is just ironic that it outlines and condemns so much of what the current hate group that is liking and sharing this post is doing behind closed doors.

I’ll use Katakuri as an example, so for Paramecia and Logia types they’re made of their respective elements/food ext. So, while I was reading something for Katakuri that had smut in it (sorry to whoever wrote it I skipped over the smut) I had thought, would it taste like Mochi?

Then I thought as I was watching Luffy vs Katakuri, Kata can ‘duplicate’ seemingly any of his limbs, so wouldn’t that mean he duplicate his wang (I know, har har I’m not calling it by is name, I honestly find it kinda funny in this context lol)

And by that logic other Paramecia and Logia types could do the same, so that brings me to my original point characters like Katakuri, Ace, Sabo, Smoker could all create a second ‘member’ or create a knot which opens many ideas for our NSFW writers; not only in the One Piece fandom but others with similar power sets

I'm sure you've been asked this so forgive me but I was wondering! Who would you say the most underrated characters are? One of my top pics is Mochi! I never see people talk about him!

Oh that's a good one, I'd definitely agree with Mochi being underrated, I've seen him get left out of a lot of bonten and tenjiku stuff. Also he's not even in the tr game yet despite Izana being there who he was introduced in the same episode as and had more screentime then Izana. (Not complaining Izana is in the game but it would be nice if we could get Mochi too).

As for other underrated character's I'd say Pah is still underrated though i think it's gotten a bit better and he's more included now then compared to when I first joined the fandom, so there's that at least. I feel like Mucho is also pretty underrated, he doesn't seem to get spoken about a lot. I think I'd add Hina and Emma to this list too, for how important they both are at certain plot points they seem to not be brought up a lot (I'm still surprised Hina never got a tr cover to herself).

But the biggest one I'd say, the one who had the biggest impact on the plot but still gets barely any mention is Naoto. When you look at everything he did vs how much he gets talked about it's a bit surprising (though I can kinda see why when you look at the type of characters who tend to be more popular).

Common Criticisms vs Solid Counters for Luffy x Katakuri (If you don't like this ship them you are free to scroll away but don't comment negative things in the comments just because you don't like it)

Luffy is 19 post-timeskip. Katakuri is 48. That’s a big gap, sure, but they’re grown adults, not a minor and an adult.

There’s zero grooming or power imbalance. If anything, Luffy has the power of chaos and plot armor, and Katakuri’s just out here trying to keep up.

Fiction =/= reality. This isn’t a real-life relationship. It’s a storytelling sandbox, not a dating sim.

“This ain’t grooming, it’s mutual respect and fists to the face.”

Luffy literally fought Katakuri on equal footing. There’s no manipulation. No coercion. Just sweaty, mutual admiration built through battle, donuts, and trauma bonding.

My most controversial TR take is that most of the fandom's characterization of the S62 is terrible, especially the Haitanis, Mochi and Madarame. Why does Mochi keep getting depicted as a violent brute when he's the most moral in Tenjiku beside Kakucho? Why does Rindou turn socially awkward when he's a cocky little shit? Why is Madarame a pushover when he's canonly super aggressive and willing to hurt + kill people?? I could go on about Madarame, he's freaking off his rocker, but I'm out of space

Fanon vs. canon is just a very controversial thing on tumblr, for me. There are Characters I don´t even know why people start characterizing them like they are, as an example Gojo satoru or Ran.

The thing is that they look good, attractive, hot even -but they lack personality because they simply aren´t important enough for the story to develop.

A thing I openly criticize is the waste of good, potentially ineresting characters in this story. Wakui does an incredible job at writing the main characters, he really does. I adore Takemichi and Mikey because they are insanely written, their personality, fears and goals just feel real and hauntingly tragic. You really feel Wakui put his heart in their story.

But there are characters who really have such a good design and funny lines and they even come up often enough to give them a little more depth but he just didn´t do it.

My favorite examples here are Hanma, the Haitanis and Izana as well as Wakasa and Benkei.

We could have gotten a very good mitsuya vs. Haitanis fight two times but he just decided to not do that.

Hanma as a person deserves so much more screentime. From his absolute banger of one liners to his goofy ass height.

I don´t know if it´s the pacing that bothers me and makes it hard to start feeling with a few side characters but a few anons already said that they didn´t really feel with Baji and Emma because they didn´t get the time to grow at us. And that´s exactly my point here.

anyway, tell me more about Shion and your thoughts on him? I don´t like him, for enough reasons but he is still an underrated charcters and you´re right with his weak presentation. I don´t think he would be someone who let other people talk over him. He rather takes punches than humiliation first.

I saw a lot of those too and I admit the whole "mochi vs emoji" thing could go either way. I’ve always found it interesting how Jk has been perceived as many in the fandom as manly, athletic, “too full of testosterone to be gay” seemingly. Honestly I think that’s how those who refuse shipping him with anyone romantically likely see him.

Jimin (my/our sweet little mochi) ☺️ is viewed as smol, feminine (because of voice or size or dress or his sensitivity for others), “definitely the gayest of gays” 😒. He’s is loved, clearly, by the entire group so he in fact, has strong ships (romantic or otherwise) with the other 6. He MUST be gay, right??

I have to point out to those fools out there who can’t or won’t See JiKook for who they are, that :

1. there are “manly” athletic men who are very much gay. How freaking sexy is Carl Nassib? He’s never gonna be mine cause he’s GAY- and in the NFL. His abs, I’m sure, look as good or better than JK’s. Look at him. What differences do you see between him and Jk as far as “manliness”, athleticism, or sex appeal? They’re both beautiful, sexy men. One is openly gay, the other is closeted but doesn’t do a very good job of hiding his feelings toward another man (whether he gay, bi, pan, or just gay for Jimin) 🤷🏻‍♀️ Maybe Carl likes Jimin too 😏

2. Jimin is also manly and athletic and sexy as all hell. I mean, do people have EYES??? Have you seen his body control? His running? His dancing? He is fit. F. I. T. Every bit as much as JK - he just has a smaller body build so he’s going to remain smaller.

His clothing on stage is generally stylist-chosen but what do you typically see him in off the stage? He often wears jeans, hoodies, track pants, ball caps, and when he turns his fancy stylish side on, he looks like a male model for GQ. My point being, he wears stereotypical “male clothing”. Same stuff JK wears…same stuff Carl Nassib probably wears. How the hell does clothing determine your sexuality anyway?

I digress… moving on. I don’t see how anyone differentiates between the possibility JK is gay vs Jimin.

Hello? Are y’all blind? Anyone? Jimin is EVERYONE’s type cause he’s sexy in so many ways. I’m well beyond 25 and I’ve never seen a MAN with as much sex appeal and just magnetism (charm as JK calls it), as Park Jimin. He’s the most beautiful creature in any of the world I’ve ever seen. 😇

Jimin is a man. Sometimes he may look more feminine because of make up or clothing or hair style or camera angle. Sometimes he looks very manly. Regardless, his genitalia (I am assuming to know what I haven’t seen) and his Adam’s apple, say he is biologically male.

Gay men are GAY because they like other men. They may like a more feminine man or a super “manly” man (whatever that is) but they like men. They’re attracted to other men.

I hate to tell some of y’all, but Jk likes men. Well, at least one man. He may only be gay for Jimin - I can’t pretend to know him, but I refuse to sit back and say “maybe” because I don’t want to label him. I don’t typically label anyone but y’all…they’ve been telling us this for years now. They’re not hiding it that well. They may avoid making it public officially or unquestionably obvious but c’mon. Hickey gate? That was the final straw for me in dealing with people who just choose to be blind. The touches and glances weren’t enough? The little smirks and big grins? The giggles, Joon’s babysitting, and the numerous other questionable incidents?

Yeah, I was convinced long before but after Hickey gate and the freeness they’ve displayed since, I don’t have any tolerance for those who won’t see it and the TKK who refuse to see it and try to gaslight JK into thinking he can’t or doesn’t want to put his lips on every part of JM’s body every chance he gets. (Trust me y’all, he has. And Jimin loves it.). Be jealous cause it’s never gonna be you, but be thrilled that one sexy man has got himself another sexy man and they are so HAPPY and madly in love. I can only dream of that kind of love and as a divorced woman, it’s sad to say I don’t think I’ve had even close to what they have.

Just the way they look at each other. JK is whipped y’all. JM isn’t the “gay one” over here “turning” JK gay or trying to manipulate him or seduce him into being gay just for JM. I believe JK found RM sexy and intriguing originally (respect now) and then came Jimin. Jimin woke JK up romantically and sexually. JK initiated their relationship officially, I hold true to that belief. JM didn’t cross that line because he is the hyung. JK wanted him, it was his choice. His attraction. His desire. JM wanted him back (and maybe took things a little slower to be sure it’s what they both wanted).

I guess my points of this entire rant are 1. JiKook gay. They gay, gay, gay and that is A-okay. I’m so happy they found each other.

2. Quit making Jimin out to be some obviously gay manipulator intent on converting others to gayness. 🙄 Jimin isn’t any gayer than any other gay man, including JK and JK was likely the initiator to their romantic and yes, sexual relationship. They’re in their 20s people. They done did the deed, or whatever the kids call it these days. 👵🏼

3. Stop gaslighting them when you contradict what they are trying to tell you without actually telling you. Read between the lines (and between the glances and ear sucks, and touches, and hickeys). For the LOVE…just open your eyes and let them LOVE each other.

I agree for the most part, except for the he is only gay for jimin thing. That's not really how sexuality works. He only LIKES Jimin. But he is just plain queer, gay, pan, bi, whatever label he identifies as. That's all him, it's not just for Jimin. He is now monogamous and all for Jimin though. Saying gay for Jimin would be saying the same thing as saying my husband is only straight for me. When even if something ever happened to us, he would still only like women. He has a man crush a mile wide on Hobi though, can't blame him.

HiI'm just going to point out that just because it looks 2d doesn't mean it isn't rendered on a computer, and I'd bet good money there is completely computer generated animation in some of these gifs based on how they look. There is a smoothness and movement that can't be done by hand. Also 2d doesn't automatically mean best story and artistry; for every Ghibli there are 40 animations about moe boobs in Japan. Also Japan is a VERY capitalist country, if they felt 3d visuals sold better in their country they would do it. They're already playing with the idea, they have 3d cell shaded cartoons being produced.

Seriously, guys, animation is such a wonderful genre, please watch and read up on it, don't feed into tumblr's pro weeb anti West rhetoric.
