yes yes yes to XD using the cloak to give george or dream or sap comforting tks, just wrapping them up in the nicest, most cuddly blanket burrito and gently vibrating to make the lee all giggly. they’d be so warm and the tks would feel so nice that they couldn’t help but shut their eyes and just allow themselves to feel all comfy and loved ):

and XD would just run their fingers through the lees hair, telling them how good they’re doing and asking silly little flustering questions like “that feels good, huh?” “does that tk? you seem to really be enjoying this”

and if they’re supposed to be sleepy but they’re still a little restless, the cloak would just take one of their corners and use it to run the fabric gently up and down the lees feet (they’re stuck anyway, not like they’re gonna go anywhere) until they’re laughing and cackling and squirming within the cloaks grasp. after a few minutes, the cloak would settle back down and go back to vibrating lowly. XD would make little comments like “you’re really red now, that must’ve tkled a lot, hm?” or “you should’ve just been calm and trying to sleep! this wouldn’t have had to happen if you just closed your eyes~”

How'd dogday & y/n meet in the slasher au? And what'd y/n do to have him so smitten in such a short time?

monsters, particularly monsters that possess claws and sharp teeth, are taught from a young age that humans find these qualities...unsettling. monster kids are taught to never bare their fangs at or around humans, and to never unsheathe their claws, unless it's for a good reason.

there are federal laws against "threatening displays of power" from monsters against humans. many monsters are considerably larger and much, much stronger than humans. these laws were and still are considered necessary by human (and some monster) authorities.

some humans take advantage of the laws against threat displays and knowingly antagonize or intimidate monsters. emboldened by the knowledge that a monster won't be able to retaliate (without serious repercussions if there's no evidence of human influence), some particularly scummy humans will tease, taunt, and physically harass monsters to try and get them to snarl or swipe.

dogday found himself the target of one such group on a trip back from a mixed race grocery store. he couldn't even raise his voice without fear of one of the humans accusing him of "threatening body language," so he could only quietly seethe and try to walk away when they threw insults (and some rocks) at him. even the bit of blood trickling down his arm from a hard throw didn't break his composure...but it got pretty close.

and then, y/n stepped in.

a bystander, with no reason to get involved. dogday had been sure that they, sitting on a bench and seemingly waiting for someone, would do as many humans would and simply watch. he was glad to be wrong.

while they aren't physically capable of standing up to the bullies, y/n did scare them off by threatening to call the cops. it really wouldn't look good if the aggressors were caught; a group of rough-looking humans against one obviously nervous, noncombatant monster? with y/n's testimony, they'd receive some jailtime and/or hefty fines. the group begrudgingly left, but not without a few last curses spit at the large dog monster.

dogday stood in surprised awe at his rescuer. they were mesmerizing; brave and confident, stepping up to help him, a stranger. there was something about the determined expression on their face, the look in their eyes, something about how the early morning sunlight hit them, giving them a gentle glow...

the thought sprung unbidden from the back of his mind.

"angel."

blinking, he was brought out of his stupor by their gentle voice.

y/n apologized on behalf of their fellow humans, lamenting that the gang sometimes hung around this part of town to take cheap shots at any monsters passing through. they introduced themselves then, reaching a hand out to shake (dogday noted how little hesitation there was in the action; most humans seemed reluctant to even speak to monsters, let alone touch them). their hand was so small in his own...he liked how it felt in his palm.

y/n offered to walk with dogday to his destination, or at least give him their number so they can buy him a coffee or lunch. he accepts the number (given the cold items in his grocery bags), and they part ways that day. they meet up at a mixed race-friendly cafe the very next morning.

the two find themselves in an easily flowing conversation. y/n had just transferred to the same college as dogday. they were in the education department as well, in many of the same classes. a junior, just like him. they were there on a scholarship; something about integrating more humans into a primarily monster-centric institution.

the canid monster felt excitement buzz in his core, and his tail wagged a bit behind him. he'd get to see them every day? he could show them around! he could introduce them to his friends, his brother, help them get to know the school and— he'd get to spend lots of time with such a kind, wonderful human! they have to be, to be accepted to his school, to stand up for him...they must be an angel.

he starts to call them as such the very next time he sees them, on campus. he likes the way they blush and stutter in response. his tail wags at the sight every time their face warms. he loves their smile, their laugh, how quickly they become friends with his friends...they even get his aloof feline brother to open up to them.

he soon finds himself in love with this wonderful human, devoted beyond reason.

Haechan’s rings always look so pretty on his fingers. The different intricately designed silver bands on both his left and right hands just look so good against his skin. You’d been daydreaming about holding hands with him (or his fingers trailing down your bare stomach-).

It was becoming a problem, since you were getting incredibly distracted by his hands holding the red solo cup.

He caught your eye from across the crowd, raising his eyebrows to greet you from afar. You wave back at Haechan, watching him start squeezing past people to get to where you were standing.

“Hey.” His voice puts you at ease every time and you reply back with a “hey” as well.

“Wanna get out of here?” Haechan asks you. “We can take a walk together, if you want.”

You nod, smiling at him as he gestures with two fingers for you to follow him out.

The two of you walked around the block until you reached a local food chain, opting to sit on the side of the empty parking lot.

The cool wind felt nice against your skin, and you turn your head to face Haechan, who was already looking at you.

You flushed at seeing his gaze on you, his soft smile growing bigger before he started talking.

“Anyway I started watching this new show..”

Haechan’s hands rested on his lap, palms facing upwards towards the night sky. Again, your attention was drawn to the rings adorning his hands. The simple silver band on his left index finger, the delicate ring shaped to look like a rounded nail on his ring finger, and your favorite: the pretty braided metal on his right index finger.

“Everything ok?” He asks you, noticing you hadn’t responded to his question about the show.

Feeling bold for once, you muster the courage to drag your index finger over one of the pretty silver rings adorning his knuckle.

“Sorry, I got distracted by your rings.” You mutter. You let the pad of your fingertips brush against his palm as well, feeling how soft his hands were.

“It’s o-ok. My little cousins are always asking if I’m m-married. So annoying.”

You look up at him, taking in the sight of Haechan’s attempt at being nonchalant, his reddening ears giving him away. You smile softly, bringing your attention back to his hands.

“They’re so pretty.”

Haechan lets out a soft breath when you pull your hand away, hoping you didn’t pick it up.

“Y-you know, my chain is also really nice..” He trails off, never taking his eyes off of you.

You beam at him, secretly enjoying seeing this flustered version of Haechan.

Anyway, go check out this neato retell of the og Quest story by @thequestfortheinkmachinecomics. The characters’ designs are nicely touched up, their personalities seems more natural now, the art is really cool and oh no, I’ve run out of juice for words… I just know that this retell will be good so I’ll be on along for this ride.

first of all I LOVE this. second, I already messaged you about this earlier but this ask is a perfect place for me to dump another tiny part of the AU I'm creating so 😇

okay so Im gonna just kinda explain my AU version of HD (that actually was the reason I wanted to create my own little thing)

so my version of HD is the God of the stars - this includes this like being able to grant wishes, visiting dreams, and a few other things I'm gonna save for when I post more about this. BUT, the main part of this that made me want to share is because of the fact that he can visit dreams. I currently have a wip going between HD and a certain firey human in a dream.......

SO. That being said, I absolutely LOVE this idea so so much ): I can see them making it a competition, and each time they pick someone new. It had started out with dream, when XD was just showing HD how sensitive he was, but then it turned into HD wanting a go at dream with his helper hands, and then came the task of seeing who could make the dream version of dream scream the most

It became something they did to pass the time, XD showing HD different people in their dreams, then creating a competition of who could make the dream version of who they were visiting howl and scream and laugh themselves silly

One day HD senses that 4K is asleep, and they both decide they can't pass up this opportunity - the two were all too familiar with how 4K could take someone apart with their tkly claws. So they pay the nether God a dream visit, both finding specific spots to make the bigger deity howl, taking note on how the dream version of 4K surprisingly is doing nothing to fight them off, just allowing himself to giggle and squeal and squirm......

Short answering this right now so I can Elaborate in the morning:

Ichigo: Bankai Now 300% Stupider (this is good)

(While not strictly Zanpakutou abilities, most of the Karakura Gang has new or more thoroughly explained abilities, Like What's Going On With Chad's Arms and Mizuiro's "Gun" ability)

Gin: The effect does not change, but WHY does.

Unohana: Effects do not change but it's important that she does not have individual Bankai and Shikai- they're two sides of the same thing.

Hanataro: Just because it's funny

Aizen: Technique and Reasoning do not actually change, but Suigetsu does get elaborated on more clearly

Byakuya: Shikai is the same, Bankai is MUCH WORSE

Komamura: Tenken is Komamura's Zanpakutou in the sense that Tenken is a spirit bonded to a spiritually attuned tool that fights with him. In another sense, it's not a Zanpakutou at all. It is also about seven.

Tousen: Watch How Much Tragic Backstory I Can Fit Into One Sword. Now Watch How Much Character Development I Can Fit Into a Second Theing That Is Not A Sword! Matsumoto: Now a Captain, Now with Bankai! Haineko Asama!

Zaraki: The Bankai, shikai and the entire premise by which "His" "Sword" operates is new. the Shikai reveal is one of my favorite scenes so far, but an excerpt won't do without the build.

Ikkaku: it needed help :/

Mayuri: It doesn't *actually* change but gets *elaborated on* and then backfires on him

Ukitake: Also doesn't technically change in terms of effects, but WHY the twins are Like That gets elaborated on :) (

Also, the Entire Royal Guard is getting revamped:

Oetsu: Abilities do not change but WHY his sword is Like That does, and he learns an important lesson about self-respect (TM).

Ichibei: It's changing because I legit could not make sense of half that shit so I'm just starting over.

Still, everyone wonders how he managed to get into the TND in first place since no one wants him around... welp. Older brother of Numbuh 362. The two can't stand each other and Rachel avoids him like the plague. He always screams at her.

#T: 2x4 technology expert, pilot and hacker. He knows any technology around. Sometimes you can catch him play some games when they have nothing to do. Never leaves without his C.E.L.L.P.H.O.N.E. (Compact Electronic Line Linking Pathway Holds Outer Network Expansion). Mostly silent, very chill, keeps to himself. Can't stand Mushi more than Harvey, if you can believe that.

Older brother of Hoagie Gilligan, aka Numbuh 2. The kid loves him and wants to hang out with him more but, as any teenager would, Tommy keeps him away from himself and his stuff and his room. But Hoagie knows he will know ALL his secrets, one day! Let's hope he doesn't find out he's also a TND spy in the Teen Ninja lines (he gets info from Father and passes it to KND, not a real bad guy!)...

#001: Second in command, everyone would prefer her to be the leader but... well. Very active teen, a bit of a tomboy, she's in charge to come up with plans and put them into action. Kids sometimes mistake her for a kid in a teen body.

Loves to skate, play videogames and dance. Works as a mermaid actor at the aquarium in the weekends. Dating Joey Beetles. Sometimes babysits Nigel Uno, who trusts her enough to ask his parents to adopt her so they can be siblings. She... actually loves the idea... but it's impossible.

#40: Weapon and combat expert, especially for sport related actions. Can't talk at all and speaks using his V.O.I.S. (Vocal Operator Imitating Sounds) to speak. Thanks to that, he can use any voice he manages to sample, kind of like an AI.

Very active, plays many sports and he's good at all of them, especially dodge ball. Dating Penelope Doe.

Older brother of Wallabee Beetles, aka Numbuh 4. The two used to be inseparable, but since Wally joined the KND, he kind of drifted away because "teens are the enemy". It broke Joey's heart but... what can you do.

#30: Spy extraordinaire and camouflage master. She can turn anyone into a different person in a make-up session. Someone might say she's too good at that... like she's hiding something.

She's the school queen, a cheerleader, everyone wants to be associated with her. She's also very intelligent and good at art. She's perfect! But somehow, Tommy doesn't like her. Nerds...

Older sister of Kuki Sanban, aka Numbuh 3. The two seem to be very close, playing together and sharing everything, from make-up to clothes (well, those that fit...).

Sometimes Kuki accidentally reveals her KND plans to her, eheh, so silly! Mushi always has a good laugh telling them to her team!

No, I'm not talking about the TND...

No one suspects anything. Not even Tommy, since she never revealed her face while working for Father.
