The Worshiper Series Fun Facts

If you have not yet read the Worshiper series, then head on over here. Or else this post will make little sense. Also, this is very spoiler-heavy, so reader discretion is advised.

A lot of lore was created in brainstorming this series, some of which I never got to share:

⟿ TIMELINE

The average lifetime of a god is 60-70 years before they choose to refresh themselves and get reborn.

From WotStars to WotSun is 670 years. Which is about 10 lifetimes.

From WotStars to BHAH is 560 years.

During this time, many of the gods were born and established.

This means that the end of the Great War (BHAH) to Seokjin’s story (WotSun) is 110 years

As a result, many of the stories overlap. Such as WotSea, WotSpring, and WotSky.

Prior to the Great War....

Seokjin lived 8 lifetimes. (As he was one of the first gods)

The Goddess of the Sky lived 7 lifetimes.

Jungkook, Namjoon, the Goddess of the Sky lived 6 lifetimes.

Everyone else falls somewhere in between.

⟿ THE LOGISTICS OF HEAVEN

The prosperity and power of every god can be seen through the number of servants they have. Seokjin has the most servants at a hundred. Jungkook has fifty. The Goddess of Sky has two. The Underworld realm originally had around fifty, but after Namjoon’s betrayal/part in the war, they only have one.

Gods like Jimin and the Goddess of the Spring don’t have any servants.

Yoongi has none because he’s forced himself to live in isolation on his Moon Palace. Otherwise, he would have about two servants.

Seokjin is the most powerful god. The Goddess of the Sky comes at #2 (bc of her power to influence the other gods’ powers). At #3 was tied at Jungkook and Namjoon — until the latter’s betrayal.

When the Seokjin and his wife are reborn, Yoongi is the one watching over Heaven temporarily. Yoongi is reborn when Seokjin and his wife are in a moral stable position.

In a way Yoongi and Seokjin are each other’s checks, balances, and safeguards.

If Seokjin ever goes down for whatever reason, Yoongi will most likely take his place. Yoongi is the most appropriate choice, as he’s composed and naturally inclined to act peacefully. But he wouldn’t be as good as Jin who is able to persuade the gods and knows how to play the politics. Yoongi is rather apathetic to politics.

⟿ AFTERMATH OF THE GREAT WAR

After the war in BHAH, there was a number of reforms that Seokjin did.

Punished those who were against him (ie. Namjoon, the God of Underworld, and the Goddess of Spring)

He betrayed the Goddess of the Sky

The other gods saw the opportunity to get rid of her because she influenced their powers so much. Fearing there would be a violent confrontation if Seokjin refused, he decided the more peaceful route would be to simply take her off the council and put her in the lower part of Heaven where she won’t be scrutinized.

Promote a kinder culture for the gods

Jin recognized how prideful everyone had become

Think Old Testament to New Testament of the bible.

The gods became less punishing and cruel and more mischievous and fickle (rather than smiting a mortal, they might challenge them instead)

He married the Goddess of Love

A symbolic marriage to demonstrate the new era he was bringing Heaven into. Really hitting home the notion of ‘make love, not war’.

⟿ CHARACTERS

The three most beautiful goddesses in Heaven (not in order):

Miyin — Goddess of the Underworld.

Goddess of Spring

Goddess of Love

Miyin technically has the title of Goddess of Beauty, but the other two could contend with her. Miyin’s beauty is glamorous. She’s curvaceous and sensual and has a very seductive aura. On the other hand, the Goddess of Spring is much softer. She has a gentle kind of beauty, very tender features and is very cute. The Goddess of Love is somewhere in between. She’s matronly and has a stronger kind of beauty than the Goddess of Spring.

→ The runner up to the three is Yena, the Goddess of Wisdom.

The inspiration behind Miyin was someone like Hyuna, CL or Hyorin. But while looking for pictures, I couldn’t find any good ones. But Seohyun’s pic embodies my imagination pretty well. For the Goddess of Spring, I drew inspiration from Jinmi in Ashes of Love. Which looks like this, this, or this. And for the Goddess of Love, while I didn’t have any direct inspiration, Yang Mi exemplifies it well. Which you can see here and here.

⟿ MISCELLANEOUS

If you notice, the entire series has the same acronym except for Hoseok’s. The last word always ends with an S (Stars/Sky/Spring/Souls/Sea/Sun). Originally Hoseok’s was supposed to be named Worshipers of the Sword, but I felt like it was too different and spectacular — so I wanted to try a different title. It’s a story that also bridges the mortal realm and Heaven in the best way, I think.

If one were to ask the Goddess of Love whose love is the most powerful (of everyone who has existed in the universe), to Seokjin’s dismay, she would answer that it was between the Immortal Being and his wife. They found each other in the afterlife and he recognized herself enough to talk to her. This never happens considering all memories are lost. But now, they’re wandering the Underworld together.

The return of the Goddess of Love to Heaven marks the beginning of a new era of peace and prosperity.

Mino was anxious, anyone who saw him at this time could say it, it is not known if by the way in which his eyes moved at a fast speed for every damn corner of the room, the fingers in his mouth already lacking a perfect manicure or leg that moved from top to bottom without stopping.

A hand was pressed on said leg causing him to stop when he felt her nails digging into his skin through the pants. He looked up, meeting the face of a seemingly annoying Lee Chaerin.

"Stop" She said without taking her eyes off the screen of her phone, she was answering messages from the couple's close friends since given the situation, none were able to answer "You are making me nervous."

"How do you think I am, noona?" The youngest snorted but still listened to his sunbae and took another position in the chair. He looked at the door with a frown "Is everything okay?".

"Of course everything is fine, but moving your leg like a kangaroo is not going to help at all" She made a gesture with her hand pointing the obvious and returned to her work causing the silent VIP waiting room of the hospital to be filled with noise of long nails crashing into the glass of her phone's screen.

Mino looked over his shoulder at the conversation she was having with Jay, who was on his way with Dara's parents and Donghyuk. A message from her sister appeared at the top of the screen warning that she and his parents were on their way, was followed by one of Dai who informed him that the Rae siblings were on their way except Dahye who was in a plane. He smiled slightly although he felt a bit sad not having his groupmates with him that special day since they had to continue with the planned agenda.

The door of the room rang calling the attention of both. Dr. Fujioka appeared with a facial expression that the boy failed to decipher causing his nerves to get even worse. He got up from the seat as if it was burning.

"Is everything okay?" Although he struggled to say those words, that he was dying to be able to speak, his throat failed him and Chaerin had to take command of the situation, just as she had done throughout the entire night like when Dara broke waters and drove to the hospital while calming them both when he had to have been the one who would drive while calming his wife but he couldn't because he screwed up, he was going to be a father and he was excited and scared about it.

"There have been some complications as we speak, due to the interruption of the first pregnancy but we have been able to overcome it and everything is fine. She is fine and they are too. "He smiled, taking a weight off him.

Minho let out a gasp of emotion and ran to the doctor, planting a kiss on her cheek as he laughed uncontrollably making Chaerin growl.

"I don't know what Dara saw in you," She muttered, separating him from the poor woman, who had remained static instead. She smiled politely. "I'm very sorry, you know, first time parents. Can we come in?".

"Oh! Of course" Despite the strange, comical and uncomfortable scene that just starred, the woman managed to continue with her smile drawn on her face. She pushed the door lightly with her right hand "Babies are in another room, they are cleaning and making them pretty. In a while they will bring them."

"Have you heard, noona? My babies" He looked like he was going to explode in tears as he entered the room, absorbed in the excitement of knowing his children but his feet stopped when he saw that his sunbae was not following him "Aren't you coming?".

"You go, I'll go find Jay and your families" She gave him a complicit smile before hugging him, surprising "Congratulations, now you're dad."

"I'm a dad" He repeated in a whisper that was hidden in the gray tufts of the girl "I can't believe I'm a father."

Chaerin wiped the little tear that danced down her cheek as she separated from him "Believe it, because you are."

He waited for her figure to disappear from his sight to enter the room. He took a breath and pushed the door being greeted by the image of his exhausted wife lying on the bed. He smiled biting his lower lip, the sound of the metal ring crashing into his teeth caught her attention.

"Hey" Dara smiled and, just as it always happened that she was smiling at him, he ran out of breath. Although the little makeup she wore had run down her face, that her skin was slightly soaked with the sweat of the effort to bring his children into the world and that her dark circles were so dark, for him she was still an angel.

He approached her gently and kissed her lips, bringing a hand to her hair to caress her. He parted their lips but their foreheads were still against each other "Hello" He whispered feeling like he was drowning in that green sea that were her eyes "How are you?".

"Tired, I just want to sleep" She pouted out a laugh from her side. She patted the bed inviting him to lie beside her, which he did immediately letting her lean on him "I've seen them before they were taken away."

"How are they?" He asked, playing with the ring he had put there. She laughed vaguely enjoying his warm and familiar caresses.

"Honey, all newborns are ugly. Pinky, a little bald and old-faced" This time it was he who laughed but in a strident way. He patted her hand lightly.

"Don't call our children ugly!".

"True, I'm sorry." A few seconds in silence were enough for both of them to start laughing.

"You're right, they are ugly, but our children aren't, okay? They are beautiful, that is, have you seen their parents?".

"God, you're an idiot".

A gasp escaped from his lips "Really? Okay, I want divorce".

"I just gave birth to your children, twins, after fifteen hours so don't even think that you will get rid of me after this" She pointed with the index finger "threatening" making him smile, she looked so adorable trying to look intimidating —something that usually came naturally— although at the same time all she was was fucking adorable.

He kissed her forehead "I had no plans to get rid of you, ever."

The green eyed opened her mouth to respond but the sound of the door opening followed by a few steps interrupted her. They both turned their heads toward the hallway that led to the room meeting their family and finally....Chaerin and Jay with the babies in their arms.

"Here are the super stars of the night" Chaerin smiled with King in her arms. Mino approached her to look at his son.

"Aw honey, you've done so well." Mrs. Song sent her a smile as she leaned on her son's arm to see her grandson.

"How are you?" The oldest of the Rae siblings asked kissing his sister's forehead.

"Tired, but it was worth it," she replied, watching her husband smile from ear to ear looking at their son. She smiled and let her head fall against the pillow.

She felt someone's lips on her cheek and from the perfume that filled her nostrils she knew it was her mother, she smiled, accepting her hand against hers "You have done very well, xiâolóng."

"Where are the others?" She asked once everyone had approached her to greet her and congratulate her on the splendid work she had done in making such an effort. She looked at her mother with King in her arms, Violet was still in Jaebum's arms since he refused to give her to her father.

"Oh, Dai and Daniel have gone to buy something to eat since Dani was hungry and Dahye sent a message an hour ago that she had already left the airport so she will be on her way" Her father replied looking at his phone to check if any of his three youngest children had sent him a message again.

"And Hyuna?" Her eyes turned to her older brother, who scratched his nervous neck and opened his mouth to respond but was interrupted.

Chaerin smiled at both families "Well, why don't we go to the cafeteria and wait for them there? In the meantime we can let the new family enjoy some time alone” She removed her hands from Dara's shoulders and rose from the bed, but not before giving her a smile.

"Yes, I think it's good idea" The grandparents accepted and left the room, being led by Mino's sister. Donghyuk sighed getting up from the chair he had sat on and left the room in silence.

"Jay" The grey haired woman approached the tattooed, who had not said a word at the time they had been there, had not even moved only had stayed in a part of the room with Violet in his arms and a facial expression that nobody knew how to describe.

"Hmm?" He replied but still did not take his eyes off the baby. Lee frowned and looked at their friends, Mino shrugged while Dara laughed.

"We have to go, give her to her parents" She pointed to the couple sitting on the bed with her arm making him finally look up from the pale face of the baby girl, he pouted.

"But she's so small and so cute, can't I keep her?" He pulled her closer to his chest in a protective act.

"Give it to her father if you don't want me to get you out of here by pulling your ear” She raised an eyebrow and put her hands on her hips to prove her point.

"I would listen to her, she is capable" The newly converted father responded by running a hand down his leg, remembering fake nails digging into his skin a few hours ago.

The man snorted before placing the baby in her father's arms, looking at all the adults with a bad face before his lips became a big smile when Violet took his index finger between her small fist.

"Aw" He sucked his nose feeling like crying "I'm going to buy you a lot of things, little Violet. You're going to be my little princess, yes. Uncle Jay is going to spoil you a lot".

"Ok, let's go" Chaerin approached him and took his arm and then began pulling him out of the room.

"Hell, woman. How strong you are” The door closed, leaving the small family silent.

Dara bit her lower lip while they both looked at the door, Mino sighed "Our life is not normal."

"No, it isn't." His wife nodded in agreement with him. A small whine came out of little King, who was stirring in his mother's arms. Dara smiled stroking her son's cheek, she couldn't believe she was a mother.

She felt a small prick in her heart when the name of her firstborn and perhaps the older brother of the twins had passed through her head.

Mino, who had been watching the interaction between mother and son with a smile on his face, frowned to see how his beloved's smile erased from her lips. He stroked her arm comfortingly with his free hand “Hey, what's wrong, my love?".

"I was thinking of Ryu" She didn't look at him, her eyes were fixed on their son's face but they didn't look at their son but were lost in thoughts "On how life would have been if I hadn't lost him. Maybe now I would have my three babies together, he would be here asking to see his sibling”.

"You may not see him, but he is always with you and now he will be with the twins. Caring for his little siblings from heaven” He pressed his lips in a thin line before circling her shoulders with his free arm and bringing her closer to his body. He kissed her hair affectionately "Someday we will go and introduce him to his siblings, and when they are older enough we will talk about him, there is not much we can tell but we will tell them that they have a brother, okay?".

He felt as she nodded on his chest and sighed kissing her hair again, his gaze fell on their children and he smiled slightly against their mother's hair.

The Ultimate List of LGBT Kpop Songs/MVs

This has come about because whenever I come across queer kpop lists I am disappointed by how short and repetitive they are. My goal is to have THE MOST comphensive list of songs and music videos with any sort of lgbt themes.

Each song or mv listed will have a little (or not so little) description explaining how gay it is or why it is gay. This does mean I’ve let some more questionable songs and mvs on the list but from the description I shouldn’t be leading people astray or getting their hopes up. (I decided against including covers of songs eg. where the artist hasn’t changed the gender in the songs. bc I feel that would become too messy and complicated. Also there are artists and songs I dislike on this list, and some artists can be considered problematic however I felt that if I excluded anything based on personal opinions it would make the purpose of this list invalid).

Hopefully kpop fans can diversify their playlists and discover new bops, as well as giving comfort to lgbt+ kpop fans. I plan to update this list as new gay content is released :)

4L – Move in the aftermath of a massive breakup, the female character ends up having a lesbian one night stand which further confuses her while she deals with her heartbreak. This mv is more in the fanservice and objectifying females/lesbians category.

Loona – Chuu: Heart Attack, Yves: New light lesbian themes, up for interpretation

10cm – Help The male characters struggle with their relationship as they worry how society view them

DIA – Seoraksan In October light lesbian themes, up for interpretation

VIXX LR – Whisper light gay themes and touching, symbolic based and possibly just fanservice. Some consider their other hit ‘Beautiful Liar’ as gay, however, despite the homoeroticism in that mv, the plot is about struggling with your two inner selves rather than a male & male relationship.

Day6 – What Can I Do in a very messy love triangle (or octogon, who knows??) Wonpil has a one sided love for Sungjin, the plot is somewhat continued in their mvs ‘I Loved You’ and ‘When You Love Someone’.

Sweet Revenge – Cry to Your Heart's Content lesbians, lesbians, lesbians

INFINITE – The Eye some scenes of this could fall into the category of fanservice and skinship, even though it is very emotionally charged

Gugudan – Chococo Sejeong experiences a gay and chocolatey epiphany (a minor scene)

San.E – Story of someone I know Depicts an ex-girlfriend dumping him for a girl

Brown Eyed Girls – Abracadabra Queens of sexual freedom, there is an almost kiss at the end.

Girl's Day – Female President an almost kiss scene, in a feminist bop (a song made not too long after s.korea elected their very first female president, Park Geun Hye. Note: this was made well before she was exposed for being the worst™ and consequently impeached, which is a shame for the first and so far only female leader in s.korea to leave such a ignominious history.)

BTS – Blood Sweat and Tears, I need you, Run In Blood Sweat and Tears Jin kisses the male demon statue that seems to represent Taehyung. The other 2 mvs have light gay themes with skinship type moments

Imfact – Lollipop kissing on the cheeks and other skinship for fanservice

Wonder Girls – Why So Lonely a sort of but not really kiss scene

Crispi Crunch - Thumbs up a very questionable mv but does include a trans woman, or crossdresser, near the end. Also the teasers for this mv included the two dudes kissing, nowhere to be found in the actual mv though (or on the internet now.... ???)

Lim Chang Jung – Open the Door Includes a gay kiss

Glam – Party XXO a bi anthem, lyrics specify about not caring about gender when searching for love

N.O.M – A Guys, Nature of Man the group were less of a kpop group and more of a gay club act who then released 2 singles

Orange Caramel – Catallena more so in the lyrics than mv but not completely ignored in the mv, Catallena explores how women are supposed to compete with each other in society and how that becomes confusing when females look up and idolise other females, and even further complicates when you fall for a female. Additionally, the meaning can also be about how girl groups are pitted against each other but they also admire and love each other

Nell – The Day Before Deals with homosexuality and suicide

Harisu – History (with Turbo), Liar, Shopping Girl, Reaction, Foxy Lady, etc. A transgender model and actress who also had a pop career for a period of time

Mercury – Don’t Stop, Let’s Party a girl group which has one member, Hanbit, who is trans

SNSD – Dancing Queen, Divine (Story Version), All Night, Love & Girls, etc. Dancing queen has lowkey gay lyrics. Divine is one big lesbian drama. In All Night Sooyoung and Yuri have major gay vibes towards each other. Both All Night and Love & Girls include drag queens. GG’s discography is so large so there’s plenty more lowkey gay songs.

Lee Hyori – Miss Korea, Going Crazy Miss Korea critics beauty standards for women in korea, and includes drag queens. In Going Crazy Hyori crossdresses as a man and then sleazily flirts with tons of women

Mamamoo – Um Oh Ah Yeh plays with crossdressing and gender identity, and kinda gay. And they have a song called “Girl Crush” which is supposedly platonic by Korean pov but worth a mention

Monsta X – All In Hyungwon and Minhyuk are shown to be together, this is possibly why Hyungwon’s dad beats him

GFriend – Navillera Eunha and Yerin are confirmed to be depicting a couple throughout this mv. There are hints that the rest of the group are also coupled up but aren’t as far into their relationships yet.

Suran – Sad Pain two differently disabled women find comfort with each other

Triple H – 365 So Fresh heavily implied polyamorous relationship and threesome between 2 guys (Hui & e.dawn) and 1 girl (Hyuna)

Mad Clown – Love is a Dog from Hell Feat. Suran the story of a trans woman and her wife. Side note: interestingly enough Mad Clown asked his brother to play the trans woman, which brings up some questions about their personal lives – how close to this story are they?

Bestie – Excuse Me in this mv the girls have a magical pair of glasses that reveal the true intentions of men, the final group of men they come across are revealed to be gay

Maman – Obvious Story a lesbian song by a lesbian singer in a lesbian mv

Kriesha Chu – Like Paradise a lovely and trendy lesbian date

Song Jieun – Don’t Look at Me Like That depicts how gay people feel in conservative korea, feeling judged for their love

XIA – Tarantallegra, Even though I already know crossdressing and gender identity, plus gay vibes especially with the dancers

Heechul & Min Kyung Hoon – Sweet Dream a love triangle including Kyunghoon’s one-sided love for Heechul

Move where he finally threw off the shackles of gender based choreography and fully embraced his androgyny. he has plenty of songs and performances that all exist in this realm of androgyny, and a lot of his discography, both Korean and Japanese, could be gay but it could also be straight, it’s very easy to interpret whichever way, which I do think is intentional. (please refer to Ten’s section further down where I share my conflicting feelings about referring to people like Taemin as a gay icon if you are interested)

Seeya – Shoes, Crazy Love Song heavy drama plot with lesbian themes, the mvs are connected

Park Jungmin (SS501) – Not Alone an anti-discrimination bop and includes a drag queen

Pentagon – Critical Beauty All the members are coupled up, and there’s a very questionable scene with e.dawn and a banana. A small mention of their mvs ‘Like This’ and ‘Runaway’ which has some very minor scenes of guys together but it’s very ambiguous and a major stretch to even label it as fanservice.

Red Queen’s lyrics also romanticise a girl and it is said to yet again be about Sulli. The lyrics of Everyone has secrets can be very relatable to the lgbt community.

Nam Tae Hyun (Winner) – I’m Young a love song where the lyrics only mention a masculine pronoun

2YOON – Why Not these lyrics can be interpreted as gay

EXO – Playboy, They Never Know The lyrics of Playboy make more sense when you interpret as a secret gay relationship. The live performances of this is the opposite of heterosexuality. (note: Jonghyun wrote Playboy). In They Never Know the lyrics have moments like “Love is Blind” and discussion an unconventional love, it is widely accepted to have a strong gay theme. Also special mention to their 2017 winter album “Universe” for being completely 100% gender neutral

Oh My Girl – Knock Knock Girls singing about girls

Black Nut – Beenzino Black Nut takes his fanboying for Beenzino to the next level

Jonghyun – 02:34, Monodrama, Cocktail, most of these songs have light gay themes, and make more sense when interpreted as gay. You delve even deeper into his discography and interpret them in a gay light.

Gain & Minseo - Imi Oneun Sori (The Footsteps of My Dear Love) From the OST of the Korean film The Handmaiden, which itself has lesbian themes.

NCT’s Ten - Dream in a Dream This is a bit of a reach but the inclusion of Lucas in some of the scenes of this MV is an interesting choice. Also I would like to give a shout out to NCT U (Ten & Taeyong) - Baby Don’t Stop, for being a lowkey gay tune even if nothing about it can be pointed out as explicitly gay. He has released a song called New Heroes, which lyrically talks about standing up for what you believe in and working hard to get successful whilst facing adversary, which is a great message, but with Ten’s almost meme-like status of being a “confident gay” (despite not actually being out) this song has definitely made a lot of people claim it as gay anthem, make of it as you will (I feel conflicted about this; 1. he’s not standing up for the gays as a gay person if he isn’t out and people shouldn’t pressure him to do so, especially when he is a foreigner in s.korea; 2. it’s all well and good to quietly within the fanbase to joke about confident/panicked gays, or gay icons, but it can go too far, especially when it becomes their branding and only personality trait to both fans and the broader (western) kpop fanbase. these issues also apply to many like Sunmi and Taemin.)

Twice - What is Love? The girls take turns in depicting and parodying famous cinematic couples, so fanservice based crossdressing and gayness.

A/N: heyyyy so this is my first ever EXO writing and my first writing in like 500 years. Also english is not my first language so sorry if there are any spelling mistakes. Enjoy!

BYUN BAEKHYUN AND JOHANNA PARK OWN THE RED CARPET AT THE 32ND SEOUL FASHION AWARDS

“Eh” she sighed, throwing the magazine back on the table and picking her mug of coffee, bring it slowly to her lips. She wasn’t sure if it was the magazine or the red wine she had had last night, but her head was killing her, hence why she was on her second round of burning coffee. She sat on her chair and watched the view before her: Seoul was indeed a beautiful city, with the five rising buildings at its centre. Privé, Juno Cars, BigHit Entertainment, KimCommunications and her own company’s building, InTec; together, these 5 buildings formed a star right in the heart of the city, being one of its symbols. The people running these companies were also some of the most powerful and influential on the country, and the interesting part? They were all under 30.

A knock on the door brought her back from her thoughts, her secretary Sheila on the other side of it. “Uhm, Mrs Park? Someone’s here to see you”. Without even turning, she replied “I’m not exactly in the mood for visits this early but let them in I guess”. Sheila nodded and made space for the person to come inside. “Was last night really that rough?” his voice echoed in her room, instantly making her turn her chair around. “Mr Kim, what a pleasure it is to see you in this fine morning”, “Don’t get sarcastic on me Jo, I know you better than that” he replied, walking towards her as she got up to give him a hug. The one and only Kim Seokjin was in her office, at about…9h30 in the morning? “Not that I don’t like to see your handsome face as soon as I wake up, but what the hell are you doing here this early Jin?” “I thought of coming by and saying hello since our companies are like, you know, right across the street from each other”.

Seokjin was the current CEO of BigHit Entertainment, something he swore on becoming right the moment him and his bandmates started their musical careers. His passion and determination for what he did always impressed her and was one of the things that made them become so close to each other. Their parents were close partners and they ended up going to the same college, although not at the same time, since she was 24 and Jin was 2 years older than her. Nevertheless, even with their slight age difference, they clicked right from the beginning and have been best friends basically since when they first met. So, it actually was no surprise when he was the first person to pop up in her office in the morning, especially considering what went down last night at those damned fashion awards.

“How are you doing?” Jin asked. “How does it look like I’m doing?” She replied straight away. “You look like shit” “Thank you for your kind words” “I only said the truth”.

She sat back in her chair while Jin sat in one of those that were in front of her desk. “How’s he doing?” he asked, looking around the room as if looking for a hidden bottle of vodka or some type of alcohol that she could be using to drown her sorrows in. “I wouldn’t know, I haven’t seen him since last night” she replied, not really looking at him. “He didn’t even say good morning?” “No, he didn’t even come home”. The look of surprise on his face told her that that was not the answer he was expecting. “He didn’t go home? You’re joking right?” “Damnit Jin, I wish I was joking. My husband did not come home last night, and my paranoia has been amplified since I woke up and he still wasn’t there!” she basically screamed, something that did not affect Seokjin at all. “Calm down, you know Baekhyun is not that type of guy” Jin said calmly, trying to knock some sense into her. “Oh, Baekhyun is not that type of guy. Thanks, Jin! My problems just went all away” she said, and he could sense the sarcasm in her tone. He remembered well what happened last night; when they arrived at the red carpet it already seemed like there was something wrong with them but being the pros that they are they pretended like nothing was going on. Only people who truly knew them – both of them – could tell that they were somehow mad at each other and that those beautiful smiles at the cameras and the heart eyes they gave one another were hiding something. And it was proved right when Baekhyun abruptly left the after party and Johanna stayed behind drinking cups after cups of red Italian wine, eyes red showing that she had been crying. Apparently, no one had heard of Baekhyun after that and there was nothing left for Johanna to do but wonder where the hell her husband had gone.

“Well, have you tried calling him?” Seokjin asked and she looked him dead in the eyes. “Are you fucking serious Jin? Of course I have! But he ignored every single one of my 15 calls” she answered, starting to tap her fingers viciously on the table, a habit of hers when she was nervous. “Do you want me to call him?” he proposed, looking into her eyes for an answer. Her lips didn’t move. “Well?” he insisted, trying to get a reaction from her. “Yes…no…I don’t know! He’ll know I asked you to do it and won’t be only mad at me but also at you. So it’s better not to” she answer, letting her back hit the chair lightly. Her nose crunched, which indicated she was deep into thought, and Seokjin had a slight idea of what she was thinking of. “You’re still thinking of going through with it?” he asked, and she looked instantly at him, knowing what he was referring to. “After what he pulled last night? Hell yes I am” she answered, now more calm. “If so, why are you so worried about him? You can’t just plot something like that and still be wondering where he is and with whom he might be. If you’re really going through with it, you need to let him go” Seokjin said. She could feel the reprove in his voice. She had told him what she had found about her husband and how she planned to make him pay for it. At first, Seokjin didn’t believe in what she was saying; after showing him the evidence that she had gathered, he didn’t want to believe. But he knew his best friend, he knew she loved Baekhyun but would not stand this kind of betrayal and that she would do anything to make him pay for it.

She did not answer straight away, which indicated Seokjin that she still had doubts about her plan. After all, it was her husband, her lover, her partner in crime, the person that was with her through the whole process of building a technological empire, the one she would confide everything and anything to, the one who held her when she was crying and who gave her a guiding hand when she was lost.

But a betrayal was a betrayal and if there was one thing Johanna Louisa Deon Park did not tolerate, this was it.

“I’m going through with it” she said, after a few minutes in silence. “Have you confronted him? Have you told him you know everything he is plotting? Maybe it is not what we think it is and there is some sort of explanation for this” Seokjin tried again, one last attempt at stopping Johanna and her carefully thought plan. “For what? So that he can sweet talk me and make me back down? You know I can’t resist him Jin, if I let myself give him a try to explain himself I won’t go forward with my plan. And I can’t let that happen”.

She got up once again from her chair and looked out the window. “I love him, Jin. I really do. But what he is doing has no forgiving”.

A knock on the door made him wake up, his eyes slowly opening, the sun light coming from the slightly opened window hitting them. “Mr Byun?” said a voice on the other side. “Yes?” he answered, rubbing his eyes tiredly. “Mr Kim asked me to wake you up. The breakfast in on the table” the elderly lady said, to which Baekhyun answered with a small “thank you, I’ll be right there”. He got up, went to the bathroom and threw some water on his face, helping him fully wake up. His head was pounding and the memories from last night started coming back to him. The fight with his wife – one of many in recent days – before they left for the awards, and the one they had at the after party that made him leave, anger running through his veins. He looked himself in the mirror, wandering when it all started going wrong. Getting back to the bedroom, he put on his black suit pants and white shirt and headed for the kitchen. The Kim penthouse was similar to his own and he had been there plenty of times, making him familiar with the place. When he entered the kitchen, he saw his best friend and his fiancé having breakfast together; they seemed so in love with each other that he didn’t want to interrupt. He remembered when his wife looked at him like that, like he was the only thing in the world that truly mattered to her. But that felt like years ago and in an attempt to prevent those feelings from haunting him, he entered the kitchen and said hello to them both, “Good morning lovebirds”. Hyuna whispered a soft “hello” while she got up and went to put her plates in the dishwasher. “Baekhyun! You’re finally up” Junmyeon said, giving him a light handshake and pointing at the chair next to him. Baekhyun sat and the scent of the recently cooked breakfast filled his nostrils, making his stomach growl. Hyuna wrapped her arms around her fiancé’s shoulders and gave him a kiss on the cheek. “See you later boys” she said, picking up her bag and leaving for work, giving the two men the chance to finally have a private conversation.

“So, how are you feeling?” Junmyeon asked. “My head is killing me” Baekhyun answered, stuffing his plate with as much food as he could. His friend watched him in amusement. “You know the food’s not going anywhere right?” “Better be safe than sorry”.

They ate in silence for a couple of minutes until Junmyeon started the conversation again. “Do you remember anything from last night?” he asked carefully. “If you’re talking about me leaving my wife alone at a party, yes I remember it. Very well” Baekhyun answered. Suddenly the food didn’t look so good anymore and he abruptly stopped eating. “I really don’t want to have this conversation right now” Baekhyun said, putting the knife and fork he was previously using down. “But you need to” Junmyeon answered, continuing to eat calmly. “How can you still defend her after what she’s done?” Baekhyun rose his voice, something that Junmyeon did not appreciate, but chose to say nothing about it. “I’m not defending her” his friend said, “I’m just saying you can’t keep this in forever. Talk about it, it will help. I’m here to hear it”.

Baekhyun looked incredulity at his best friend, sighing when he realised he had no choice but to talk. “We had a fight, another fight” he started, while his friend nodded in agreement. “We got that” Junmyeon answered, his sight not leaving his food. “I couldn’t stand it anymore, being around her, knowing what she has done, I just…ugh” he continued, looking everywhere but at Junmyeon. “How can she even be around me? How can she be this hypocritical? I mean if I ever did something like this to her I would never be able to look her in the eyes again! I would probably divorce her!” “Then why don’t you? If you’re absolutely sure of what she did, why don’t you ask her for a divorce? Instead of, you know, making a stupid plan to get a revenge on her” Junmyeon said, his gaze turning to his friend. He and Baekyung looked each other in the eyes for brief seconds until the latter diverted his sight to something else. “I have been told that if I get a divorce she gets a part of my company” Baekhyun admitted. “Well, wouldn’t you get a part of hers in return? After all, you were one of the initial investors” Junmyeon asked, curiosity in his eyes. “That’s the thing Jun, I don’t want a part of her company. I want nothing that reminds me of her. If I divorced her, I wanted her fully out of my life!” “But you could just sell the part of her company that you would get! You’re not lacking buyers! It would be much easier than plotting a stupid plan to, I quote, ‘make her pay for all of the shit she put me through’. I know you Baek, you’re better than this”.

An awkward silence filled the air, neither of them knowing what to say to each other. Clearly Junmyeon didn’t think his plan was a good thing to do but Baekhyun didn’t care. His wife had done him wrong, so wrong…and he had the perfect plan to make her pay. It would be slow, like the pain she had inflicted him. He wouldn’t be violent with her, no no he’s not that type of man. But he would do it from the inside, inside their doors, inside their wedding. She would never see it coming and the effect it would have on her…she would be completely destroyed.

Baekhyun got up from the table, went to the bedroom to pick up the rest of his remaining and went back to the kitchen. “Thanks for your time man…and for the lovely breakfast. See you around” he said, not even giving time to Junmyeon to respond before he was already at the door.

People did think that the marriage of two powerful CEOs is indestructible. Johanna and Baekhyun would be proving them otherwise.

Help, I don’t know how to express my love for girl groups. I love them a lot. I really do and I never post things on any girl groups but I have so many that I love and I miss them all and it makes me sad because they’re all my girls, like, I claim every single one of them. Warnings: abuse, sexual abuse, rape(?) this chapter is quite short, but the next is super long as my planning needed a really short chapter for everything to work. Also sorry my writing is crap

“I’m afraid you’ll have to come to the throne room,” He said, grabbing a hold of your wrist. You looked to your ladies in fear, but gestured for them to go back up to their rooms. A Queen protects her people, and goes down first.

You were dragged to the throne room, to see Jungkook, on his knees with his hands tied behind his back. Upon seeing you, he started yelling at everyone to let you go.

He was bruised, with cuts everywhere. His cheeks were tear stained, and his eyes held no hope.

You were pushed to the ground in front of the thrones, landing on your side with a big thud.

“What- what’s happening?”

A high pitched laugh drew your attention. Sitting on the thrones were Sehun and Hyuna, wearing the matching Crowns that had gone missing.

“Sorry, Y/N, Jungkook,” Sehun said with an evil tone, “But we’re going to be the rulers from now on.”

You and Jungkook had been separated for weeks. You were kept in the royal chambers, whilst Jungkook was held in the dungeons. It didn’t take long for Sehun and Hyuna, or rather the King and Queen, to find out about Jihan’s whereabouts. Guards had already been sent to retrieve him, meaning to kill him as soon as possible.

You had been talking with your ladies, trying to take your mind off everything. Jungkook was being tortured, and Hyuna had frequently visited you to keep you miserable.

“You know,” She said, the crown dazzling on her blonde head, “Maybe we’ll keep Jungkook here after we’re done with you. He could be my, plaything. Any tips?”

You rolled your eyes, “I’d slit my throat before I let you anywhere near him.”

Hyuna pulled out a dagger, decorated with diamonds on the golden handle, “By all means, go ahead.”

You stood back up, “Leave. You may think you’re Queen, but I still hold a higher rank. Get out of my room before I take the dagger and stab you instead.”

Hyuna pulled a shocked face, “Treason.”

“That’s rich coming from someone that wants to take over the kingdom and kill the heir.”

“I’ll tell Jungkook you say hi.” Hyuna left, not wanting to hear any more of your facts. You sat down on your bed, clutching the material of your dress tightly. They only sent you food once a day, resulting in your dramatic weight loss. Your face lost the brightness it once had, and you couldn’t help but think that your kidnapping was happening all over again.

Jihyo came out of your closet, along with your other ladies who had to hide whenever the new rulers came to visit, “Y/N-“

“I’m fine,” You said, brushing a piece of your hair out of your face, “They won’t break me. I’ve gone through worse. But Jungkook-“

“We heard the screaming,” Nayeon said sadly, “Your name, over and over again.”

You wiped the stray tear off your cheeks, “I will find a way to help him. I’ll get us all out of this.”

Chaeyoung took your hand, “It’s not up to you-“

“It is,” You say with a bittersweet smile, “I’m your Queen. The King cannot fulfill his duty, so I take over. Hyuna and Sehun will bring this country to the ground.”

“We’ll help you,” Jihyo said, “You saved us, you took us away from one corrupt ruler, it’s only fair we pay you back.”

You nodded, a small smile finding its way to your face, before it drops again, “We need a plan. It’s been two weeks of living like this. Any longer and they’ll have a coronation.”

Nayeon’s eyes widened, “I have an idea. It’s crazy, but it might just work.”

You listened to the physicians words, a smirk gracing your features, “Done. We’ll start organizing. No one must know.”

Your ladies nodded, and began talking amongst themselves. You walked over to Jihan’s crib, picking up his blanket. You held it close, taking in a deep breath. It still smelt like Jihan. Like happiness. Like home.

Home is where those who you are close to are. But this wasn’t a home. Your son has a death warrant, and your Husband would die if the torture didn’t stop.

“We can do step one tomorrow-“

“No,” You said firmly, “We can’t waste time.”

Nayeon opened her mouth, but stopped. Jihyo looked alarmed, “She’s right. I’ll get the supplies.”

“I’ll leave,” Naeyeon said, “I’ll dress like a commoner doctor-“

“Y/N’s sick,” Chaeyoung said, “She needs you. Jungkook will need you when he comes back. I’ll go.”

You nod slowly, “Thank you.”

Jungkook had never been in a situation like this before. Chained up in a cold, wet dungeon, receiving beatings every other hour. Not knowing if his wife and son were alive. The worst he’d been through was your kidnapping, and his parents death.

Now he knew how you felt in Min. In utter agony, feeling helpless and dead. But he’d keep fighting.

The door opened, and the echoing sounds of heels filled the room. Jungkook knew who it was, but he always silently hoped for someone else.

“Jungkookie!” Hyuna sang, “Were you waiting for me?”

Jungkook said nothing, instead he scoffed and rolled his eyes. Hyuna pouted as if she had just been offended, which she most likely was, “After all this time, you haven’t fallen for me?”

Jungkook pulled on the chains, “I love Y/N.”

Hyuna laughed manically, “That whore? She’s only using you.”

“My family, will survive this,” Jungkook choked, trying to stop the threatening tears from falling, “I have an heir. I am the King. My Queen is strong. You are nothing-“

Hyuna walked forward, grabbing a hold of his face and messily kissing him. Jungkook turned his face to the side, coughing as to make her leave him alone.

She trailed her hands up and down his revealed chest, “I’ll do you a deal. Fuck me, and I’ll let you see Y/N.”

Jungkook spat on her, “I’d never betray her.”

Hyuna raised her eyebrows, “But would she betray you? She cheated on Baekhyun, after all.”

Jungkook’s head shot up at the name, “What do you know of Baekhyun?”

Hyuna circled the room, before stopping, facing one of the stone walls, “He was my cousin. He died trying to protect Y/N. And I’m sure you will too.” She walked closer to the royal, “I’m trying to figure out, why you both would do anything to protect her. She’s a slut, a mess of a Queen. It’s pitiful, really.”

Jungkook shook his head, “The love I have for her, we had for her, was everlasting. I strongly believe no one can love as much as she can. She loved us both. She would’ve married Baekhyun if he’d survived. But he died. I love her more than anything. More than the sun and stars. If I die protecting her, I’ll die a proud man, knowing I did everything in my power to save her.”

Hyuna giggled, grabbing a dagger and making a cut in the side of his face, “And if I killed you now?”

Jungkook took in a sharp breath, “Do it then. You don’t have the nerve.”

Hyuna stopped, dropping the dagger, the metallic sound breaking the silence, “Maybe you’re right. But Sehun will kill you. Don’t worry about that. You will die a slow, painful death.”

Jungkook said nothing, and Hyuna left the room, swaying her hips in a way that repulsed him. Every day, the same thing. Sleep with me and you can see Y/N. He knew it was all lies. She was a disgusting women, engaged to an even more disgusting man.

He screamed out your name, his chest jolting from his sobbing, “I love you.”

“Y/N he’s here.”

You gulped, and straightened out your dress. He had been visiting you daily. Sometimes to grope you, others to tease you. You hated him with a passion.

The door swung open, and Sehun strides in. The guards following him stop outside your room, closing the door.

“Y/N,” He says, walking towards you. His hands find your waist, turning you around, “You’ve lost weight.”

You wince at his words, “You haven’t been feeding me.”

Sehun chuckled, his hands now roaming your body, “That was the point. Your bones are beautiful. They make you look so dainty and small. They fit perfectly in my hands-“

“Please stop,” You whimpered, your eyes tightly shut, as if you could open your eyes and he’d be gone, “Haven’t you done enough?”

“Jungkook’s still alive,” Sehun said, backing away from you as you walked away from him with a fast pace, “He always screams how much he loves you.”

Your head drops, your limp hair covering your face, “I know. I can hear him.”

Sehun nods, “Would you like to see him?”

Your head shoots up, before you remember whom you are dealing with, “You wouldn’t let me.”

“All these assumptions. I’m not a complete villain-“

“No, you really are,” You say, “You’re a horrible person.”

“That’s a bit harsh,” Sehun says, “But I’ll accept it. I have an offer.”

“What is it.”

He walked forward, “You sleep with me. Right here, right now. Only this once, and I wont cum inside of you. You do that, and I’ll let Jungkook move back up here. No more torture.”

You froze. Half of you wanted to say no, not wanting to betray Jungkook. But you couldn’t let him be tortured any longer, that and the fact if he was released, than you could both work together to get out.

“Okay,” You say, swallowing your proud, “I’ll do it. But only once and you let Jungkook go.”

Sehun��s lips quirked up into a smirk, “’I’ll have him sent up once I’m done. But first-“

He walked over to you, roughly kissing your chapped lips. He pulled out his dagger, cutting your dress in half at the front. He ripped it open, leaving you wearing barely anything.

“This will be fun.”

He finished quickly. You cried the whole time. You had cheated on Jungkook and the guilt was worse than anything you’d felt before. But it would be worth him hating you, as long as he didn’t get hurt anymore.

Jungkook had been informed that his wife had secured his safety. He wasn’t sure how, but he was grateful. He was happy to finally be reunited with you.

When he entered the room, he expected a happy reunion, you running up to him and kissing him, feeling your body against his once more. But all he saw was you, your torn dress lazily placed on you. You were crying and hadn’t even realized he had come back.

“Y/N?”

You looked up to see him, and smiled weakly. He limped over to you, attempting to hug you, “Please don’t touch me.”

Jungkook’s face fell into concern, “What did he do to you?” He touched the ripped dress, feeling the fabric, “Did he violate you?”

Your sobbing grew louder, “No, he didn’t. It was my choice.”

“Your choice what?” Jungkook asked, his chest growing tight.

You looked at him in the eyes, “He, he said if I slept with him he would let you go. He’d stop hurting you. I can deal with you hating me for cheating, but I can’t deal with you dying.”

Jungkook stood up, weakly walking to the other side of the room, “You slept with him. For me? You let him touch you so that I wouldn’t get hurt?”

“I-I’m so sorry,” You whispered, hiding your face in your hands. Jungkook didn’t know what to say, but he wasn’t mad. He knew he would’ve been killed soon if it weren’t for you.

“I’m going to kill him.”

You looked up, “You’re not mad at me?”

Jungkook walked over to you, pulling you into his weak arms, “He knew you’d do it. You’d do anything to save our family. Thank you. But I really am going to kill him.”

You regained your composure, looking over all of Jungkook’s wounds. You quickly got a bowl of water and a cloth, dabbing at the cuts and bruises. He hissed as some of them were particularly painful, but still let you treat him, “Did Hyuna-“

“She tried,” He said, as you cleaned the cut on his face from earlier, “I wouldn’t let her. Me sleeping with someone for my safety is different than you sleeping with someone for my safety.”

You kissed his forehead, “I thought you were going to die.”

“I did too,” He confessed, kissing your hand, “I thought you were dead.”

You sat down next to him, and he pressed his lips to yours, “Did he hurt you?”

“He was harsh, and finished quickly,” You explained, “Didn’t cum in me at least.”

Jungkook let out a soft laugh, “Only I can do that. You are mine. You saved me.”

You cupped his face, “Lie down, my love. You need to rest.” Jungkook nodded. Resting his head on the pillow, he pulled you down with him, tracing the outline of your face, “I thought I would forget you.”

You sighed, “We’ll be okay… I promise.”
