The evening sky was painted with shades of pink and orange, the sun beginning to dip below the horizon. You sat on the edge of the rooftop, knees pulled to your chest, watching the city below. It was peaceful, but the quiet never lasted too long when he was around.

“Oi, what are you doing up here?” Bakugo’s voice cut through the silence, rough but familiar.

You turned your head slightly, meeting his sharp gaze as he stood behind you, hands stuffed in his pockets. His spiky blonde hair caught the fading sunlight, and despite the scowl on his face, you knew he wasn’t really angry.

“Just needed some air,” you replied softly, offering a small smile. “And a break from all the noise.”

Bakugo huffed, walking over and sitting beside you. “You could’ve told me, dumbass. I’m not that loud.”

You chuckled, nudging him with your shoulder. “You’re the loudest person I know.”

He grunted but didn’t argue, leaning back on his hands as his gaze shifted to the sunset. For a moment, the two of you sat in comfortable silence, the cool breeze brushing against your skin.

“You good?” Bakugo’s voice was quieter this time, almost hesitant, and you glanced over at him. His eyes were focused ahead, but the concern was evident in the way his shoulders tensed.

“Yeah,” you murmured, feeling the warmth of his presence beside you. “Just needed this. Thanks for coming up.”

“Tch, don’t mention it.” He shifted, his hand brushing against yours for just a second before he left it there, the smallest of touches grounding you. “Just don’t disappear without saying anything again.”

You smiled, leaning into his shoulder. “Got it, Katsuki.”
