8 Key Points to Consider Before You Hire .NET Developer.
Finding the right .Net professional can be challenging.
When you hire .Net developers ensure that the developer can meet your project needs in time, quality and effort are crucial.
Here are 8 key steps to consider when comes to hiring .NET developers:
Start with a Solid Plan: Plan before hiring a .NET programmer. Define essential skills, and set clear expectations, budget, and scope to streamline the process and ensure everyone is on the same page.
Dive into their Portfolio: It's always a good idea to ask candidates for proof of their work before hiring them, especially when it comes to hiring .NET developers. A competent developer will share past projects. If there is no proof of work may suggest inexperience or lack of expertise. By examining their portfolio, you can gauge their work style, approach, and past challenges, which will help you understand their capabilities better.
Prioritize Core Skills: It's crucial to identify essential .NET exams and certifications, ensuring developers stay current with modern technologies rather than outdated ones.
Understanding of ASP.NET MVC: It is important to ensure that the developer has expertise in ASP.NET MVC and its features. Advances in technology are important for a smooth development process. ASP.NET MVC is a dynamic tool, and having a developer who can make the most of it can especially improve your project's outcome.
Backend Programming Expertise: Many .NET projects require backend programming, which involves storing user details. It is important to hire a dedicated .Net developer who is highly experienced in full-stack .Net development with databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL, and familiar with query optimization techniques for project success. The expertise of your developer will ensure that your application runs efficiently and remains stable as it grows.
Experience in Backend Programming: A skilled .NET developer should be able to handle multiple projects at once. If developers can handle multiple tasks they can adapt to sudden changes, prioritize effectively, and ensure that all aspects of the project receive the attention they require.
Knowledge of WCF: Windows Communication Foundation plays a vital role in the .NET framework. Ensure that your hired resource has a complete knowledge of this technology. WCF is capable of building service-oriented applications that require secure, reliable, and scalable services, all of which are essential for modern applications. Therefore, your .Net developer needs to be skilled in creating such applications.
Familiarity with Dependency Injection: Dependency injection is a vital technique in software development for easier testing and maintenance of web or mobile apps related to .NET. This technique allows developers to create applications that are more modular, testable, and maintainable. The result is a robust and future-proof project.
With these considerations in mind, it’s evident that hiring the right .NET developer is a fine process.

Dumb little headcanon I’ve had rattling around:
The monkeys of Flower Fruit Mountain share the feelings of whomever their master is… which currently happens to be Sun Wukong.
What he feels, they feel. What he thinks, they think.
It’s an instinctual, ritual link between the de-facto king of the mountain and his fuzzy little subjects.
If there’s a certain way he’d like to act but restricts himself from, the monkeys acts on those instincts without refrain.
If he likes someone? They like that someone, too.
And if he really likes someone?
Well.
So. One day Wukong goes missing. Maybe heads out with a goal in mind and stays out a little longer than he expected.
It’s an inherent magic that can’t be turned off or delayed. As long as at least one person is on the mountain, the monkeys have a king.
So, without the Monkey King on Flower Fruit Mountain, there’s only one other person that responsibility can fall onto, only one person who reasonably can serve as (temporary!) ruler of the mountain.
Macaque.
Without his knowledge, he’s been given the “reins” to FFM, which now seems to bend to his whims as he pleases, showering him in convenient stretches of shade to brood and whine under, tossing peaches and bananas into his open hands, peeling pebbles from before his step with each foot forward.
But it goes a little further than even that.
Now the local little fireballs acting like the resident wet rat, pouting and kicking rocks as they grumble in their little monkey language, cowering from the sun and conversation and generally being unpleasant and annoying.
Until Sun Wukong comes back, that is.
And the transfer of power from ruler to ruler on the mountain goes a little slower than usual, and suddenly all these sullen little monkeys are flying into his arms with squealing hoots, nuzzling his cheeks, pressing little monkey kisses to his nose and ears.
After all- they feel the same way that their master does.
#Lego Monkie Kid#LMK#Sun Wukong#Macaque#Shadowpeach#macaque is such a wasted character and it drives me fucking insane#mostly he’s just a generic anti-hero who serves SOLELY as a safety net for MK in his darkest hour#if the writers could move past their insatiable obsession for angst and fucking do some actual ONSCREEN character development with him#that’d be cool

"A net-zero power system is closer than we think.
New research, published by RMI, indicates that an exponential surge in renewable energy deployment is outpacing the International Energy Agency’s most ambitious net-zero predictions for 2030.
That’s right: Surging solar, wind, and battery capacity is now in-line with net-zero scenarios.
“For the first time, we can, with hand on heart, say that we are potentially on the path to net zero,” Kingsmill Bond, Senior Principal at RMI, said. “We need to make sure that we continue to drive change, but there is a path and we are on it.”
And that’s really good news.
Exponential growth in renewable energy has put the global electricity system at a tipping point. What was once seen as a wildly daunting task — transitioning away from fossil fuels — is now happening at a faster pace every year.
Based on this new research, conducted in partnership with the Bezos Earth Fund, RMI projects that solar and wind will supply over a third of all global electricity by 2030, up from about 12% today, which would surpass recent calls for a tripling of total renewable energy capacity by the end of the decade.
Global progress in the renewable energy sector
China and Europe have been leading the way in clean energy generation, but the deployment of renewable energy has also been widely distributed across the Middle East and Africa.
Research from Systems Change Lab shows that eight countries (Uruguay, Denmark, Lithuania, Namibia, Netherlands, Palestine, Jordan, and Chile) have already grown solar and wind power faster than what is needed to limit global warming to 1.5°C, proving that a swift switch to renewable energy is not only feasible — it’s entirely achievable.
In order to make that switch, globally, wind and solar need to grow from 12% to 41% by 2030. Denmark, Uruguay, and Lithuania have already achieved that increase in the span of eight years.
Meanwhile, Namibia, the Netherlands, Palestine, Jordan, and Chile have grown solar and wind energy at sufficient rates for five years...
The economic impact of climate progress
Not only is this an exciting and unprecedented development for the health of the environment, but this rapid transition to clean energy includes widespread benefits, like jobs growth, more secure supply chains, and reductions in energy price inflation.
This progress spans both developing and developed countries, all driven to accelerate renewables for a number of different reasons: adopting smart and effective policies, maintaining political commitments, lowering the costs of renewable energy, and improving energy security.
And with exponential growth of clean energy means sharp declines in prices. This puts fossil fuels at a higher, uncompetitive cost — both financially and figuratively.
RMI suggests that solar energy is already the cheapest form of electricity in history — and will likely halve in price by 2030, falling as low as $20/MWh in the coming years. This follows previous trends: solar and battery costs have declined 80% between 2012 and 2022, and offshore wind costs are down 73%."
-via Good Good Good, July 12, 2023
Let me repeat that:
For the first time in history, we are on an actual, provably achievable path to net zero emissions

Even though I know I technically don’t have to make an announcement about things, I just wanted to give y’all a heads up and say that the next few months on my end will be jammed pack with a bunch of responsibilities I’m juggling between working full time & unfortunately being important & good at my job (I’m basically doing the work of 3 people now 😭) on top of my summer course & prepping to potentially apply for grad school in the fall. Simply put, I got a lot going on, as I usually do. So if you see me less active on here, especially when it comes to my mooties who tag me in their fics, pls don’t get offended or feel some type of way if I don’t engage with you. Generally speaking, I also get a fuck ton of notifications on the daily & my notifications are off for tumblr and have been for like 2 years. So just incase I miss something people send me, chances are it got buried with everything else and I didn’t see it! 🫶
In other news, I know some people have been asking both me and my primita @gothcsz about our joint fic SAFETY NET featuring Sugar Daddy! Marcus Acacius and our WOC Sugar Baby! reader. We’ve both taken some time away to work on other projects and handle things in our personal lives, and me transitioning over to The Pitt definitely took me away from that story & ofc Kat knows lmao. However, I’m very happy to say that now me and Kat are back on the same wavelength, and Ch. 2 of the story is currently being worked on. We both missed Big Daddy General Acacius real bad, and I promise, y’all aren’t ready for what we came up with.
Please be patient, cause when you have two big brained freaky yappers working on something together you’re bound to do more than you expect LMAO! But SAFETY NET is back on our list of priorities, and the next part will be dropping soon. 🤫 We are so back. 🙂↕️
#happy to be back#missed that man so so bad#and we need to fuck him nasty and sloppy#we also need y’all to develop a crush on our reader cause she’s sexy as hell HEHE#me and Kat being the dynamic duo 🙂↕️#I still plan on writing for Jack Abbot & other Shawn Hatosy characters that hasn’t changed!!#Safety Net & Guilty As Sin are the only two ppcu related stories I plan on finishing btw

Lesson 49-A

... Yeah, It sounds like someone might snap in the next lessons....
(Or at least I hope so. Please Solmare do something, ANYTHING with Raphael I'm begging you)
#obey me spoilers#obey me#obey me nightbringer#obey me thirteen#obey me mephistopheles#obey me raphael#post0400#Mephisto is cancelled now for being mean to my wife 😤😤#I have to confess that despite Raphael & Mephistopheles being paired in almost all events recently........#I don't care that much for their friendship. I find it too shallow#like they are paired because they are part of the “trio” (Thirteen is not part of that trio bcuz she's a woman and)#(Solmare is allergic to her having any kind pf interaction with anyone that isn't MC)#So I hope if they plan on develop these two more. it's worth it#having trio appereances is always a net good in my book. but IDC for that particular relationship. at least not now#ironically Thirteen & Raphael interactions were more fun to me. at least in what little they interacted in OGS4#also I find it a bit too sad that Mephistopheles is apparently the only one who is worried how Raphael is doing.........#😓😓 Mammon was curious of what he was doing in the CR but I don't think that's enough#please someone take care of my boy. they don't let me do it myself

the other thing an ao3 outage being this disrupting to people tells me is that we REALLY need to be hosting a more diverse range of fanfic archives. you know what's not down right now? SquidgeWorld for general fic. Ad Astra, the Star Trek fic archive. whofic.com for doctor who. and if there were even more of these, it'd be far less devastating for ao3 to go down. you could just go to another archive.
#ao3 outage#this isn't a fault of ao3 but more a fault of the usage of ao3#the monopoly developed hasn't been intentional but it HAS developed and its a net negative i think. that it IS so widely used#and there aren't really well known alternatives

What happened to Matt Eberflus being in the hunt for a DC??
Who do you think is better out the two it seems we're getting?
Patrick Graham or Al Golden? (Unless they surprise us)
Hi Wicked <3 <3
So okay, DC updates were abundant this week!
Eberflus seems to be out of the running. Honestly the tweet that first mentioned him was so oddly worded anyway, I believe it said something like "Matt Eberflus is involved in the Bengals' DC search" and they never specified that he'd be a candidate at all. Of course, everyone jumped to conclusions that he was, but it's looking more and more like he was never even going to be interviewed 🤔 Maybe he was involved as like, a consultant? I think Zac and him have a good relationship from planning that joint practice together last summer.... it also could have been that Eberflus' agent wanted to show that there was interest in him, for leverage with other opportunities potentially? All of those big Insiders are really just mouthpieces for agents at the end of the day 🥲
And yes! Looks like it's narrowed down to between Patrick Graham and Al Golden! Love that we're quickly making progress here!
From what it sounds like, Golden is the front runner, but they're waiting for the national championship to be finished before they finalize everything. (I'm technically a Buckeyes fan just via family but now I do want to see Notre Dame put up a fight defensively for the sake of my Bengals fandom 👀). Honestly though from what I'm seeing, both candidates would be solid choices for us!
Graham was the former Raiders DC, and despite them being a pretty awful team last year, their defense over-performed based on the talent available (Maxx and I think a few other of their better starters got hurt during the year). He's been known to be creative with schemes, and has spent a lot of time with the Patriots under Belichick (which can only help his defensive background!) He's also apparently well respected throughout the league and players love playing for him.
Golden is the current Notre Dame DC and he also was the linebackers coach for the Bengals during their super bowl run in '21. (He did a lot to bring the best out of Logan and Pratt that year apparently!) I don't follow college football at all really, but ND has one of the best defenses at that level and honestly not a lot of Star Freak Players (again I think some of their best talent got injured earlier this year and still they've been playing lights out on defense!)
I think the best thing about both of these candidates is that they've shown they're able to connect with young players and develop them. And the players don't necessarily have to be Stars; they can build the scheme around them to enable them to be at their best. And as great as Lou was at a lot of things, that was a clear weakness of his. We've got ALLLLL this top round defensive talent! Rounds 1-3 in '22, rounds 1-3 in '23, rounds 2-3 in '24! And so little to show for it! I think if you hire either Graham or Golden, you're going to be getting more out of the young guys no matter what and I'm excited about that!
Some more info to read up on them if you're curious!
#so yeah to answer your question i'm good with both!#the one critique i'm hearing is that the bengals should have cast a wider net#like it sounds like it was always going to be golden from the start and they only bothered interviewing two other guys#which! is fair! you'd like them to look at this from every possible angle#but frankly we've got so much going on this offseason that we've gotta hurry up lol. no time to look under every stone!#if they think they've got the guy then go for it i say#also lmao golden apparently never even sold his house in cincy#so maybe this has been the plan for awhile? 🤔#(would explain daijahn saying he knew who the new DC was a week ago lol)#but yeah! both good. both likely a clear upgrade in terms of developing players. which is exactly what we need :)

Fanfiction Tracker
I love fanfic and I read a lot of it, and lately I’ve been trying to find ways to track what I’ve read, sort the fics I like and loved, etc., but nothing has proven to be 100% effective.
So, I was thinking of making a fanfic tracker site in which I could track my fics and sort them out, and automate that process a bit; kinda like a letterboxd, anime-planet, goodreads, etc. but for fics. It’d be mostly ao3 based, but I do plan for users to be able to add fics of other sites like ff.net, livejournal and even wattpad.
The thing is, I don’t know to code a site like that. I know a bit of coding but mainly on the design side, and even then it’s not much. So I’m here to recruit a team haha.
This would be a passion project, I have no money to pay you and I intend to keep the site as free as possible, following ao3 footsteps. However, if we do end up making money out of it, with the support of the users or whatnot, I’d share the profit. Either way, I believe this could be fun to make and I’m excited about it.
So, if you like fanfic as much as I do and/or are interested in the project, please hmu! :)

On the one hand, playing as my HoF in Veilguard has improved the story by giving me a good strong backstory to RP from. The themes of Talia's story theoretically tie in nicely with the themes in Veilguard, and it feels like a nice chance to wrap up her story.
On the other hand, it's hard not to make comparisons.
Talia had deep, meaningful friendships with almost all of the companions in Origins. Some of these were the sort of friendships where you instantly click, some of them required her to get to know the companion over time. But she had strong feelings about all of them.
In Veilguard.....it started out strong! She wasn't immediately attached to anyone, but she had common ground with a lot of them. But then it doesn't get to go anywhere because as Rook, you don't ever really get to...understand them?
And I'm trying to figure out where that feeling comes from because Veilguard has so many cutscenes for companions! It might be that the approval system has been toned down from previous games? The Origin companions had scenes where they questioned Talia's decisions. They had things that they hated and they weren't afraid to tell you about them. The warden had the opportunity to argue their point as well.
The Veilguard companions....don't really have strong opinions on anything? Or if they do, they won't debate them with you. They'll debate them with each other, sometimes. You get some sort of group debates during Solas's Regrets, and those are great, but they're so limited in scope. I can count on one hand the amount of times, across two playthroughs, where I earned disapproval from a companion.
We mostly learn about the companions through banter, and boy is there a lot of it! But this isn't an open world game, so no matter if you 100% Veilguard, you probably won't reach the end of the banters for even your favorite party combination. So all that character development through banters goes to waste.
I like the companions in Veilguard! I do! I just never feel like I progress my understanding of them as people past act 1. They don't surprise me. And because of that, it feels difficult to develop any sort of relationship, friendship or otherwise, with them.
#dav critical#da4 spoilers#dragon age veilguard#dragon age the veilguard#my zevran & brosca post has been getting a lot of notes lately too and it's just making me think about this more#i feel like the devs were so focused on making the companions have a found family vibe with each other that they forgot to include rook#like honest to god I'd rather they give me a chance to develop a relationship with the companions than do the found family thing#i don't need 13 hours of banter between the companions#i want to get to talk to them#what do you mean emmerich grew up poor but you only get to learn that if you bring him out with specific companions#and exhaust the banter paths with them#if the companions are a found family why don't they net any approval/disapproval for the resolution of each other's personal quests?#why am i learning about how davrin feels about emmerich being a lich through banter and not by seeing him disapprove when i pick that optio#im sorry#im trying to learn to love veilguard for what it is#but it's so hard when they give me so little
