I don't think I wrote about my thoughts on the first season of the Newsreader, which I finished about a month ago, so let me fix that.

I feel so stupid for not watching this when it came out. It was constantly talked about, got pretty much universal praise down here in Oz, but I just never watched it because.. I don't know why. But now that I have, I reckon it deserves all the praise it gets.

This is another great Aussie drama series. Great actors, great writing, great sense of humor, and oh my god that 80s Aus rock music is just *chef's kiss*

I think Helen and Dale are really fascinating lead characters. Helen in particular really surprised me! I thought it was going to be a case of a badass woman dealing with typical stupid misogyny (which is still a legit issue) so her emotional and mental instability was appropriately difficult to watch. And I love her complicated dynamic with Dale. And Dale... Sam Reid is an incredible actor, what else can I say? I'm not just talking about comparing Dale to Lestat, watch him in The Hunting. Seeing him go from Ray in The Hunting to a role like Dale, two shows that are pretty similar in terms of realistic drama, is insane. He and Anna Torv also have great chemistry together.

So, I'm really looking forward to season 2, and I will definitely be watching it 'live' this time around :D

I just finished Belladonna! It was quite a read. 5/5 stars!!

I love how it tackled love, family, heartache, superpower and the irony of societal norms. This book is very addictive and kept my mind reeling. There is a twist that I thought at first was a possibility, but as the story progresses, I had a change of heart cause there were a lot of things I had to reconsider.. nonetheless, it was confirmed at the end of it :) 

Signa, the MC, is such an extraordinary lady! And Death.... oh my my my. That’s all I can say.

I can’t wait to read the next book <3
