Heyy hope you’re doing well!
Can I request a fem reader with Bi-Han and Kuai Liang? Reader is a highkey mischievous little shit and her favorite pastime is annoying the hell outta Bi-Han (Kuai Liang probably has to stop his brother from crucifying her lol)
Thanks!
Tumblr media
Ngl this is extremely rubbish as idk where else to go with this in all honesty. 🦦
Regardless of how you had inserted yourself into the lives of brothers, Bi-Han and Kuai Liang, but one thing was definitive; you enjoyed being the thorn in Bi-Han’s side. From the deep furrow in his brow, the appearance of frown lines and the look of pure annoyance within his dark eyes that were usually in a perpetual state of fatigue in due to his duties of being Grandmaster, those were the highlight of your day. What wasn’t a highlight however was the aftermath where Bi-Han would chase after you throughout the Lin Kuei with an ice dagger.
Much like he was doing right now;
‘Y/n! When I find you, I swear I’ll make an example out of you for disrespecting the Grandmaster!’ Bi-Han shouted, running towards Kuai Liang, ice dagger in hand. ‘What have they done now brother?’ Kuai Liang asked even though he didn’t need to, his eyes drift to the top of his brothers’ head, where sat two pigtails tied with what looked like vibrant pink hello kitty hair ties. Kuai Liang had to try and stop himself from bursting out laughing at the ridiculous sight.
Bi-Han looked at his brother, unamused and annoyed that his hunt was interrupted. You couldn’t have gone far, that he knew for certain, but if there was one thing that Bi-Han has come to know about you was the fact that after pulling your pranks, you’d often seek out his brother for protection against his wrath. It had been your primary escape route in the past, so it made general sense to Bi-Han that you would try and utilise your only way to evade facing the consequences of your actions. ‘From your poor attempt of hiding your snickers, brother. I’m going to assume that you got a right good look what they did to me.’ Bi-Han grunted. ‘Now, where are they?’
Kuai Liang shrugged. ‘Haven’t seen them.’
‘Nows not the time for lies, Kuai Liang.’ Bi-Han warned.
‘I’m being serious Bi-Han, I haven’t seen them. But I’ve heard from some others that they’re with Tomas at the training grounds.’ Kuai Liang said and a brief moment of silence befell the brothers as they stared the other down. ‘You better hope that they’re with Tomas.’ Was all Bi-Han said before he ventured down the hallway, leaving Kuai Liang alone…or not because a voice from behind the younger brother spoke.
‘Is he gone?’
Kuai Liang sighed as he peered over his shoulder to look at you. ‘Yes he’s gone but reallly? Putting his hair into pigtails and hello kitty hair ties?’
‘Not my best work, I know, but I was bored and was running out of ideas and so I thought that the hair ties would be a nice touch.’ You shrugged as you stepped out from behind him, and breathing out a sigh of relief when you couldn’t see the cryomancer anywhere. ‘You can’t always keep doing this, I won’t always be here to shield you and if you’re not carful one day he’ll catch you in the act.’ Kuai Liang warned you, crossing his arms over his chest. He felt as though he’s had this conversation with you multiple times but it doesn’t seems as though his words have stuck with you; for it seemed that recently you were pranking Bi-Han just to tempt fate.
So needless to say that Kuai Liang couldn’t wait for the day where he’d get to say I told you so, would be a severe understatement. For as much as he loved you, it was only a matter of time before Bi-Han inevitably started taking methods in catching you faster.
‘Do you take me for a fool, Kuai Liang? There’s no way that Bi-Han could ever catch me in the act.’ You boasted with a smirk, having grown confident that whilst Bi-Han knew it was you, he had yet to actually catch you. ‘I’m far too slippery for him to catch! I’m gone before he even knows what hit him, and I mean that in both the literal and figurative sense.’
Kuai Liang raised his brows. ‘Oh really?’
‘Really.’ You stated confidently, your smile practically beaming.
‘Then who’s that behind you?’ Kuai Liang asked and immediately the air started to go cold and your smile dropped as slowly but surly you looked over your shoulder to see a murderous Bi-Han stood there, ice dagger still grasped tightly within his hand. ‘Hey Bi-Han.’ You swallowed thickly. ‘Did you do something different with your hair today? It looks nice, suits you even.’ You chuckled nervously as your hands began to sweat upon hearing Bi-Han growl out a single warning from behind his mask.
‘Run.’
‘Good idea.’ You replied swiftly before running off to find some place to hide as Bi-Han followed soon after. Kuai Liang gave it a couple of moments before then deciding to run after the pair of you to mediate the situation like he always did.

Hi can I request caregiver kenshi and Johnny taking care of a sick little Tomas plz I loved that valentine’s Day fanfic with them a lot I’m also the one who requested part 2 of that fic 😊you don’t have to if you don’t want to I know you already have a lot of requests also don’t forget to take care of yourself 😁
Oh my gosh this was you?? I loved writing that piece!!! It was so fun!! :D
And please, make as many as you want!! I'll get to them all eventually . . . one day. <3

CG Kenshi & Johnny w/ Sick Regressor Tomas Hcs
❤️ Sickness, everyone’s worst enemy’s >:(
⭐ Actually, out of the three of them, Tomas is the least likely to get sick!!
💨 He grew up in the Lin Kuei, a very, very, cold environment, and also trained with Kuai Liang, which constantly had his system in battle mode growing up
❤️ But it doesn’t make him immune!!
⭐ The only ‘problem’ is how sick Tomas acts 😮‍💨
💨 Johnny’s whiney, Kenshi’s clingy, but Tomas? Complete ‘independence’! He can get his own medicine! And do his laundry, or make his own meals, he’ll be just fine!
❤️ ^ Spoiler alert, most times he can’t, and especially little sick Tomas can’t, but it won’t stop him from trying-
⭐ But oh no, not under Johnny’s roof, there’s no way that Tomas will even lift a FINGER while he’s sick! >:(
💨 It’s half being sick, and half the constant babying that Kenshi and Johnny give him, that make him feel tiny
❤️ Sometimes it’s bad enough to regress to babyspace, other times it’s toddlerspace
⭐ Either way, this man is BRATTY
💨 Most times it’s not his fault!! He feels really icky, and if they just let him get up, he could grab the right bottle/sippy cup instead of having to hide his face every time they brought him the WRONG thing!!
❤️ No screaming or throwing, but a lot of hiding, huffing, and tucking himself away from whatever they try to give him
⭐ In between the mix of wanting to be swadddled, and everythings too hot to wear right now
💨And whose fault is it? Kenshi and Johnny, obviously!! >:(
❤️ . . . Well, not really, but it is! It totally is! Why would Kenshi try to swaddle him when it’s 100 degrees in here? Why would he not swaddle him when it’s so cold?!
⭐ As much as Kenshi and Johnny love him, it can get a bit (lot) frustrating
💨 ^ Especially if Tomas is borderline nonverbal, normally they can get what he wants but Tomas is refusing any kind of communication and it’s really hard
❤️ Kenshi, as much as he loves Tomas, does get irritated quickly, and decides it’s time for Tomas to take a small nap to feel better
⭐ And Johnny, as much as he loves dotting on his baby, is also a bit exhausted from running around trying to make Tomas happy
💨 It does make Tomas sad, especially because he knows he’s being a bit frustrating to deal with, and him deciding everything was wrong might not be the best thing to do
❤️ After a small (desperately needed) nap, he quietly asks if he can snuggle with them and watch tv
⭐ He still feels icky, and upset over how he’s acted, but Johnny and Kenshi do understand it’s never fun being sick
💨 This time they try a slightly different approach, like Johnny carrying Tomas to the kitchen to choose his bottle/sippy instead of just running back and forth
❤️ And Kenshi swaddling Tomas with the air conditioner on and a ice pack on stand by (and a trash can, it’s never the best to have dairy while sick . . . or Oreos, Johnny fell into the puppy eyes trick . . again)
<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
Ngl, I actually get so scared writing Tomas sometimes. :(
Like, someone got really pissy at me for babying him (and I do think the fandom Infantilizes him, Raiden, and Syzoth a lot) but like . . . it was a babyspace request . . .
I think it’s why I try to make him a little menace, so that I don’t baby baby him, because I did see their side, they were just being really mean about it :/

Man though, I half joke about being Hibiya kin because I honestly am not really in the kin community much, largely due to disinterest and our system's bad experience with them in the past making it not the most comfortable environment even if its not an outright trigger anymore
But man Kagerou Daze is unironically a really special song for me for a lot of reasons but I think the song really fucking just reminds me a lot of the alter / part experience of literally just getting stuck in a trauma loop and just the literal hell that stuff is and it means a lot to me to be able to acknowledge the six years of endless looping I used to be in as a part.
Then there's the whole other realm of things with the song in relation to my (as a part) relationship to the side system I care for a lot and the relation of all that to one another and man.
I just really find that song super personal to my trauma and recovery journey.
Anyways, happy Kagerou Daze and watch out for truck-kun he's a piece of shit ngl /hj
Below two versions, my favorite cover and my favorite English cover.

Finally I finished reading Eyes Only the english translations.
The highlight of this book for me? Endo and Lin's commentary 🤣🤣🤣👏👏
It is very interesting to see that I get the impression that out of all Forgers, Endo loves Yor the most (but it's highly probable that I'm biassed. Duh!!)
I mean, we know that Endo loves strong female - fighting heroines. Especially if we look at Endo's previous works. Like the two serialization: Tista and Gekka Bijjin. Both has strong female heroines as the leader. And then, his one shots also featured female leads. Perhaps only his latest one shots: Ishi ni Usubeni (the one with Medusa kid which later become Anya's prototype) and I spy (the prototype of spy x family) that featured male character as leads.
No wonder Endo can creates so many amazing female characters in spy x family. (Not that the sxf male characters are bad. Far from it!)
But it warm my heart when Endo shows that Yor was the longest he took in creating the character design. (And I also notice that Endo loves to draw Yor in so many cute outfits and accessories 🥰 and also seems to get hurt the most for my whumpy needing souls delightment #ahem)
Tumblr media
At the same time, the badass yet cute and naive Yor is the one character that he got trouble the most to develop!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I still remember back then, when we were still at chapter 38-39 ish, Endo did have more breaks than usual, chapters that is focuses on side characters like Damian, Bond, Yuri, Sylvia (short mission), Frankie, all that make the small fandom fans 'restless' for the "too many fillers chapters"
And then there was a tweet of him telling the fans to be patient, because he was planning something.
And then, BAM!! Chp. 43 dropped. A Franky and Yor chapter, that end with Yor getting a call from Shopkeeper. Yes, the chapter we just got the anime episode (ep. 29!)
The small fandom at that time was going ferall over "Garden" name drop. And keep chanting "Yor arc Yor arc Yor arc Yor arc!!"
And then BAM!!! We got one of the best arc ever: Cruise Arc.
With that one gorgeous Yor ilustration that make the small fandom around the world decided 4-6th April to become Yor's day. On the spot.
It's one amazing experiences, ngl.
So if one asked me whether Yor has been pushed to the back, I dare say no.
It's just writing an interesting assassins plot is difficult.
Especially in a story where everything is grey.
WISE is described as the "good" guy who tries in all their might to stop the war. (But are they really? Why are they snooping around inside other country? And why are they badmouthing Ostania?)
SSS is described as the "bad" guy cause they oppressed their own people and manipulate young energetic talent as Yuri to serve them. (But what if it is needed to keep 'peace' from the rebels which of course can be found everywhere in a freshly stopped war country?)
A good story can work with two opposing sides going head to head.
But then there's Garden. Where are their position? A story about three way "war" can be difficult to tell, overly complicated, and too much. On one side, Garden can't be the "good" side because they murder people. But they can't be "bad" either if the people they murder are the bad guys. However who to tell which one is good which one is not?
And most important, how to make Yor as a protagonist that is not a villain.
That's hard.
So, judging from the past experiences (when Endo took more breaks than usual), plus this amazing detail analysis by @itsmaferart, I dare say Endo is cooking another Yor or Garden centric arc, after the Eden and SSS vs WISE.
I have high hope for this. 😁😁😁😁
So we shall wait and see.....
Tldr; I think Endo loves Yor. He is preparing for something awesome for her. and I'm not complaining. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

time for more Ji Yan yapping— pls beware of #wuwa spoilers, even tho i will not go into much detail regarding the whole story and quests, but specific mentions will be present... so caution is advised, regardless
Tumblr media
After my previous post, I was asked to elaborate on the matter of why I made Ji Yan so young— The answer is rather simple: it was literally written in the game and spoken out by characters directly, so unless you skip story and cutscenes, you will not miss it.
Will start from the fact that was delivered directly from the man himself. Ji Yan, in his companion quest, mentioned that he was appointed to the role of General at the age of 20.
In his character story, it's written that he is the youngest General in Midnight Rangers' history. Which also implies that Geshu Lin (previous General) is older than Ji Yan.
YangYang also stated that he was assigned to this position after the Battle beneath Crescent. We do not have the exact time frame, but I assume it was short after and not years after.
Narrowing down the timeline, TaoQi explained that the Battle beneath Crescent took place 3 years ago.
Now I will go further with his age and point out other certain things.
In his companion quest, it's again mentioned that Ji Yan was a part of temporary Gulpuff Relay team 10 years ago that set a record, which remains still unbeaten. It also described him as "new recruit". Concluding with everything said above, Ji Yan joined the ranks of Midnight Rangers as medic at the age of 13.
Again in his character story it's written that he was born into the family with a medical background and became his mother's assistant at the age of 10. He still keeps the pill case, disguised as a gourd and it has a lot of sentimental value for him.
Tumblr media
There're also some things I want to mention that are related to his story. I see a lot of ppl being upset that his companion quest did not tell them anything 'bout Geshu Lin and ngl I'm like 🤡 that quest isn't 'bout him, but Ji Yan as a character and person, it showcased us his second side. Before we only saw his General side, and the quest showed us his human side, with his own fears and regrets.
In regard to Geshu Lin, despite the drastic and extreme measure with which the previous General commanded the army, Ji Yan still holds respect towards him. They are indeed polar opposites in handling the same position, where Geshu Lin commands "victory at all cost" and Ji Yan aims for "victory with minimal loses". Both cope with the burden of command in different ways - the first willing to sacrifice others to achieve victory, the latter will sacrifice self. NGL their conversations in both Ji Yan's trailer and main story gave me a lot to think 'bout— And then there's this piece from his character story.
Day after day, year after year, he fought in vain until he was the sole survivor on a desolate battlefield. The Tacet Discords transformed into his fallen comrades, encircling and closing in on him. Despite being known for his calm and decisive nature, few were aware of the nightmares that would sometimes jolt him awake, haunted by the voices of the dead. As the general, it was Ji Yan's duty to safeguard not only the borders, but also the entirety of his nation. Every move he made and every plan he enacted carried immense responsibility and consequence. This is why he seems to be always frowning, thinking, and planning ahead. One day, perhaps, he will finally turn around and answer those questions from the dead. He fights for the living, and for the deceased.
Ji Yan is very compassionate, he takes every loss personally and one of the major displays of that is Captain Bei Wang. He was a Midnight Ranger, a friend and last patient, and his death pushed Ji Yan to join the battlefield. And the wind spear he wields now, was modelled after that Bei Wang wielded.
Another meaningful connection to Ji Yan is Mortefi. From the latter's profile we find out that he was saved by Ji Yan and referred to the Academy, in return he provides own help to Midnight Rangers and helped solve a lot of problems. Mortefi has also anger-management issues that can cause Overclocking (overuse or loss of control over the Forte; causes can be emotional and phycological stress, bursts of energy), the scales we see on his body are the result of it. Unlike Ji Yan, whose frequency displays high stability with a low risk of Overclocking. I also do like their communications, 'cause Ji Yan does sound softer around Mortefi and he even smiles, and Mortefi sounds playful around Ji Yan. Considering the general opinion of ppl on Mortefi and him often sounding almost arrogant, it's v peculiar change. And he also doesn't use the title "General", when talking to or 'bout JiYan, which indicates further at their close relationship.

Joy of Life Episode 17 Liveblogging
This is my first watch, so don't tell me secrets ;)
Side note, but I am very doubtful that Wang Qinain has a daughter. Not sure about the wife but I think neither I nor ML believe a word out of his mouth about his home life and background
Sister Ruoruo immediately confesses about her visit to CP. So she was fishing and wants to interact with him to understand him better
She thinks CP is in love? (I'll be real w you, I immediately thought of The Tearful Breakup lol)
Oh god, tell me Crown Prince isn't in love with 🍗 ??????????? and that's why wants to kill Fan Xian.
Sister Ruoruo I think Dream of Red Chamber fic has poisoned your brain
ML was always Si Lili's interrogator? 😵🙊
The Head is protecting him because...he was mom's dad or master? Or sworn brother?
So Sil Lili was just blackmailed. I never thought Northern Qing had a stake in this, so makes sense. Second Prince remains one of my top suspects.
Don't just trust her to give you a random name and release her! YES. THX. DO NOT RELEASE.
ML: have u heard of solitary confinement?
"If I die, you'll never know who that person is" GIRL like he can trust you anyway.
He's pretty badass in this scene ngl
You're not going to let us hear the name, huh?
Having Wang Qinain show up is not making me less suspicious about his masterminding
INTERESTING that she thinks ML would protect the revealed name. Very interesting
Ok what was the purpose for the big diversion??
Lin Gong, the pompous second brother is the blackmailer?! Alright, from team Crown Prince. But is he truly in the driver seat or is the Prime Minister just taking action on his behalf?
(i know it sounds like I'm trying to excuse him or something, but it's more like.... I'm trying to pin down the CP character and the dynamics of his faction. And I keep getting the impression that he's not always leading the charge & in the driver's seat. Which makes that faction feel illusive.)
"The world thinks he's not important. I don't like it." 👏👏👏👏 What a solid performance in this scene and a protagonist that I want to cheer for.
"So what if you don't like it." um I feel like the last couple episodes and the next 20 will answer that lol

hope the fever don't make the playoffs sorry if this is mean but that's the only way we can get lin dunn to fire sides since the fever have explicitly said that their goal this season is to make the playoffs. still this is all lin dunn's fault because imagine forcing an assistant coach who has been used to losing all their career to become a head coach when she didn't want the job in the first place. that entire front office have CTE i'm sure cc will be alright tho that girl is tough
i think this atl win crushes our playoff dreams ngl
but yeah i'm thinking long-term here, a playoff appearance would be nice but i'm hoping they don't cause it would be one step closer to getting out of this hell
you know how i mentioned stewie & seattle? well after both her & jewell got drafted their then-coach jenny boueck got fired near the end of the season in 2017...and we all know they went onto win a championship the year after sooo hey whose to say that won't be the fever

Curious your thoughts on Linzin post-canon (show, not comics)? Would they ever get back together, or have angsty we can’t be together sex? Who is pining for who? Why or why not?
Well, I do have a lot of thoughts on post-canon Linzin. It's gotta be my favorite kind of Linzin ngl. I think I've said this before where I don't quite like the idea of them getting back together without any proper redemption or catharsis, you know? I will die on the Lin-deserves-better- hill and even if that means she reunites with Tenzin or finds love elsewhere, I'll take that.
This may be a little long, so brace yourself.
In terms of the angsty "we can't be together sex", I'd see that happening very early on. Pretty much breakup sex in that very moment and nothing more. With the way Lin has the tendency of being, raging before anything else, she wouldn't be someone who'll let sex manipulate her as good as it may be. She also holds her moral standards quite highly, so I don't particularly see her having "we can't be together sex" with Tenzin anything later than when they're breaking up. She'd never be one to cheat, or even facilitate cheating, even if she was/wasn't cheated on. Tenzin, on the other hand, would have sex with Lin given the opportunity, but he'd be super guilt-ridden through it and either want to turn it into an extramarital affair (our man loves committing to the deed) or do it over and over with the promise of it being the "last time". I don't think Lin deserves that though, and like I said, with her characterization, I see it nearly impossible for her to allow herself to be seduced by Tenzin again. Although, everyone makes mistakes and has moments of weaknesses. Make of that what you will😌.
When it comes to pining, that's a simple answer. Lin doesn't pine. She rolls her eyes, walks away, and stays mad with a fat grudge. Tenzin, however, definitely pines for Lin. It's so blatant in the way he looks at her. Plus, Lin took the hard route of grieving their relationship, moving on, and building walls around herself. She processed their breakup, albeit not in a healthy fashion. Tenzin jumped straight to Pema. He didn't take the time to heal or learn or grow. He just went on to the next available thing. He'd hide from his feelings while Lin would spar with those same feelings. Pacifist versus head-on, right?
Would they get back together? That's a toughie. When I watched the show for the first time, I really thought the side story was going to be a Linzin reunion, thereby normalizing divorce lol. I also thought that not having Lin be Tenzin's wife, his kids' mother and the Chief of Police was such a wasted opportunity to display how women are multifaceted and can do literally anything they want to. Given that, and everything that conspired through the four books of the show, I'd say maybe. They certainly love each other, platonically and maybe even a little more- and that's canon. But, would Tenzin throw away his picture-perfect life for Lin? Would Lin want to return her heart to the same person who broke it? The answer's yes. Because of love. But there's more: How much have they changed as people? How much around them has changed? Is it worth discarding what they now have for something they once had? Have they grown? Couldn't the memories be enough? Can they deal with each other's flaws again? Can she trust him again? There's more baggage, kids, exes, and whatnot. What would people say? I can see them doing this only if they had some kind of assurance and validation from the other. And that would require communication. But Lin is emotionally constipated and loves bottling up her feelings, and Tenzin is too much of a pusillanimous man, buckling under the pressure of anything under the sun, even a damn feather. It'd be difficult to get them back together, but not impossible. And that's what good writing is for.
I think this should answer all your questions, anon. I'm sorry, I have no work-life balance, and getting on Tumblr to answer asks has become a faraway dream for me. But this year, I'm going to try and have a better hold on life and dedicate more time to the things I enjoy.
Thank you so much for the ask! I enjoyed answering it. Now, good luck reading my mini Linzin thesis.

hey
what do you think would happen if somehow tenzin got to au world instead of lin (and tenzin from au world to canon)?
really can’t stop thinking about it since you start publishing the fic bc it would be so hurtful sad and fun like you know how awkward sometimes tenzin can act
maybe someday you’ll post small clippings from situations in which he would stuck into i’ll climb on cloud nine
Hey anon! Someone also suggested this as a oneshot and I've thought about it a little bit! I don't know exactly what will go down if this were completely written out, but here are some general ideas:
Canon Tenzin
He'll probably hear some distorted voices while getting carried back to the island, and see hazy visions of Lin by his side along with these new faces who look so much like her. Some of them are saying "Dad" and he is not coherent enough to ask who they are and he knocks out
I think the kids' feelings are really gonna hurt when they hear him say "You're not my children. I'm sorry, I don't know who you are." Lin is prob pissed lmao
When they find out he's not their own Tenzin, there's def gonna be an interview haha He has so many mixed emotions bc this is the life he envisioned and wanted with Lin, these are their children who he daydreamed about having. Here they are now, he's learning about their personalities and knows what they look like
All of the kids are gonna spar him bc how dare he break up with their mother and marry an acolyte in the same year? They're all gonna win bc they know how to beat him 🤣
Lin is gonna be the one who has the most difficult time with him. She wants her husband back, this is not the one she created a life and family with. Tbh for some reason, I can see her actually pulling away from canon Tenzin while the kids are the ones spending more time with him. The kids are familiar of their parents' history together, but Lin and Tenzin are the ones who lived it together (albeit different experiences with this switch) and they both take it the hardest
Despite her frustrations with him, she wouldn't turn her back on him. Just make him sleep in another room until he goes back to canon lol
He's also prob trying to stay in this universe ngl and Lin wants her airhead back
AU Tenzin
I feel so bad for him
While I think he'll be very cordial and civil when addressing Pema and her kids, it's quite obvious that he has no emotional connection to her or them. I can see Pema trying to spark that connection with him, but he's very clear on his boundaries that he's married to Lin and he has children with Lin and will remain faithful to her. While he may look like her husband, he's not.
Compared to AU Lin who has only two photos on her, Tenzin has multiple photos lmao he has a family photo and individual ones of the kids when they're all young.
He's trying to spend more time with Lin, but he's learning very quickly that she was hurt badly in this universe. She's the only connection he really has and he wants to be there to support her. Meanwhile Lin trying not to get lured by how much better this version of airhead is is getting a headache figuring out how he can go home to his family. But she's genuinely curious about their life together
Lin would act like she doesn't care about the photos, but inside she's studying it so intently. Wondering what they're all like, what their voices sound like, how the atmosphere feels if she were to ever meet them. Tenzin is hyping them up lol he prob also tries to hype her up and she's building up an extra wall
I think if he were switched, he wouldn't be in other world for very long. He'd prob stay for there for no more than a week? I really enjoyed this ask bc I haven't had the chance to think super hard about Tenzin switching xD if you have any other ideas that you want to see as a oneshot to expand on the CCC fic, feel free to send bc I only have a few atm 🥲 im gonna do a short one of pema being switched to AU world but this is after Lin gives birth to the twins just to be spiteful mwahahaha

Watched the little mermaid live action version recently and I have thoughts.
I’ll start with the worst part first. Lin Manuel Miranda needs to be put down. The Scuttle song cannot be forgiven.
Seriously that song is a crime against humanity just replace it with Cartman’s cover of Poker Face and you’ll have a better time.
Scuttle overall is just not funny or charming at all. I already don’t care too much for Awkwafina, but her performance combined with terrible writing just made me hate Scuttle. Her only good moment was during the start of Kiss the Girl.
Sebastian and Flounder are fine in terms of voice and personality. Their CGI designs are a little… let’s just say that 2D animation has its benefits.
The romance is awesome! They really focus on it rather than devoting a lot of time to side character hijinks, so I believed the romance a lot more.
Speaking of the romance, Eric has way more character! His song is a lovely parallel to Part of Your World where he yearns for adventure in the uncharted oceans. They have more of a connection, and I really was rooting for them.
Ursula. Oh my god, Ursula was incredible. Melissa McCarthy put everything into her performance.
Honestly, nearly every actor absolutely slayed their role. Well, except one but he’s not that important. Eric, Ariel, and Ursula were the main focus and I loved every scene involving them.
I also liked Grimsby. Get yourself a wingman like him.
Under the Sea was also pretty good. Since they didn’t have the advantages of animation, they used the advantages of ocean life already being insane. I was not expecting feather stars to make an appearance, but they were there.
Was it just me, or did Javier Bardem seem like he didn’t care about his role? Maybe he was trying to seem stoic, but it came across to me as if he just wanted to be doing something else.
They also kind of imply he got around lol. All the sisters are referred to as his daughters and they all come from different oceans with wildly different features according to where they’re from. Good for him I guess?
Also Ursula doesn’t even turn people into those horrid creatures anymore. She straight-up disintegrates people.
Eric had a characterization sort of similar to live action Jasmine. I like them both, but do what you will with that information.
The wedding scene was a downgrade ngl. I wished it happened more like the original where a bunch of sea creatures wreck the place. But Ariel does physically fight Ursula which is pretty fun.
Why did they give the redhead the pink dress as the wedding dress? I know it’s an homage, I like the design, but it just clashes with the hair.
Oh, one more thing. They actually handle the “feminist princess” stuff they like doing in their live action movies well. They follow the whole “show don’t tell” rule by letting Ariel save him in the final fight, and they don’t linger on it or draw attention to it like it’s some massive step forward. They treat it like any other triumphant victory.
Overall, I give it a 6/10. I’ll always prefer the original and don’t really care if I see it again, but it’s a nice romance with some good music. I honestly would’ve been nice enough for a 7/10 if that stupid ass Scuttlebutt song wasn’t in there.

Stars Run to Him
What I Liked
i love omegaverse
has a nesting scene i love nesting scenes
lin yuxing is like. so pitiful. but at the same time he does have his dignity n doesn't think any less of himself. i love that he and gu zhongyi make each other better, once he realizes that he is in love he's willing to take steps forward and rely on his alpha and know that he's not alone! he can be loved and also love others! he's deserving of good things! he's also smart i like that he figured out the regression himself and how he was so glad to have his a-yi and big bro back. an especially cute point is how he keeps regretting leaving his scarf behind at his aunt's place lmao like it's such a nice little detail that adds to his character
gu zhongyi is the classic sweet alpha, a regressor who gets the second chance to get everything right this time around. ngl i thought that he was the one who orchestrated the flower "prank" in the beginning but im glad it wasn't actually him. as a regressor he has his "i gotta act on my own" moments but for the most part he pampers and communicates with lin yuxing well and they have such a cute relationship im so soft
the side chars n all their side ships... i love how su li is lin yuxing's ride or die bro lmao when he and gu nuan crashed gu zhongyi's apartment out of worry i was like yeah that's what a bestie should do! but at the same time they all have their own lives outside the main ship yknow. so that was quite a nice touch
lin yuheng's story is also p fuckin sad n also like. idk. i have some mixed feelings abt it but it makes him more human. he and liao yan should've been a couple too, that would've been cute :( a shy alpha and a brash confident omega.
lmao lin yuxing's whole story w the aunt n uncle felt like one huge r/amitheasshole post
all in all it was sufficiently sweet, solid read. nothing particularly special but it's also not like... toxic ig.
What I Disliked
poor liao yan tho, he rly got the short end of the stick
su li and his bf needed more extras ngl

Something was off.
Usually Kuai Liang was all smiles when Hanzo came to visit the Lin Kuei. Today hadn’t really been different, but Kuai’s smile wasn’t his usual one. It looked forced, like he was in pain and trying to hide it. It wasn’t just that either, his whole demeanour was off today. His body a little stiff, his jaw and hands clenched, his reactions slow like he was a million miles away.
It was all just off.
Due to Kuai’s prior commitments to his clan, it took a few hours of witnessing this odd behaviour before Hanzo got the chance to ask, when he’d finished up the training session and let his students filter out. Given how quickly everyone was trying to leave, Hanzo wasn’t the only person to notice the strange tension in the air. Hanzo approached, placing a hand on Kuai’s shoulder and earning a jump of surprise. Kuai looked at Hanzo with a questioning look on his face.
“Kuai Liang, is something wrong?” Hanzo tried to not sound too pushy. Kuai was the sort of person who got extremely closed off if you tried too hard to get them to talk. It had to be gentle. “You’ve not seemed yourself all day.”
“I’m fine,” Kuai tried and excuse with a wave of his hand, but even that all seemed half hearted. “I’ve just got some things on my mind, it’s nothing you need to worry about.”
“Maybe it would help to speak about them? Get them off your mind?” Hanzo offered, and felt disheartened when Kuai shook his head.
“There is no need, this is just a me issue.” He moved Hanzo’s hand off his shoulder, offering a small bow. “I need to go catch up with a few of my generals, as always make yourself at home Hanzo.”
Before Hanzo could argue his point, Kuai had turned on his heels and was halfway across the courtyard. Right. Something was definitely going on and it wasn’t just things on his mind. But how Hanzo was supposed to approach this, he had no idea.
“So, gonna assume you have no idea why he’s in a weird ass mood today either?” An unfortunately familiar voice question. Hanzo turned just in time for Frost to come and stand by his side, hands on her hips. “He’s been acting peculiar all day. He’s not even lectured me once.” Hanzo’s eyes narrowed and she spared him a glance. “He’s sad about something, rather than angry.”
“You deduced that from him not lecturing you?” Hanzo questioned.
“He lectures me a lot,” she said with a shrug, “and when he’s angry they’re more intense. He only avoids it when he’s sad.”
Hanzo honestly didn’t realise that Frost paid that much attention to Kuai Liang’s feelings. She always seemed indifferent and resentful whenever Kuai showed emotion. If he weren’t so concerned about his boyfriend, he’d maybe see the humour in Frost’s assessment of Kuai’s mood hinged on if he was nagging her or not.
“Any ideas what he could be sad about?” Hanzo asked, as loathe as he was to admit it, if anyone in the Lin Kuei had answers it was probably her.
“Not really. Nothing’s happened that I’m aware of.” She rubbed her chin with her hand like she was thinking. “It’s not the anniversary of Bi-Han’s death because he’s not frozen himself in his room.”
“He… freezes himself in his room on the day of Bi-Han’s death?” He hadn’t known that. Kuai had never mentioned it, and Hanzo had always elected to leave Kuai alone on that particular day. As much as he loved Kuai Liang, he really did not think the presence of Bi-Han’s murderer would help.
“Yeah, it’s really bad” she said in a drawn out way. “It’s not the anniversary of someone else’s death is it?”
“Possibly.” He could think of three people it could be, Tomas, Cyrax or Kuai’s Grandfather. Given the rest of Earthrealm’s allies usually held a memorial on the day of the majority of it’s warriors deaths, he decided he could rule out Tomas. “Logically it’s either Cyrax or his Grandfather.”
“Not Grandfather,” Frost claimed, “he has a whole ass ritual for that, and he’s not done it.”
“So… Cyrax?” Hanzo concluded, and Frost’s face twitched and she shrugged again.
“I guess.” She didn’t sound all that convinced. “Like don’t get me wrong, I know they were close and he does grieve for him, but I dunno, this feels like something more.”
“It was also the day he faced the old Lin Kuei,” Hanzo pointed out, that might add to this episode. There must have been something soul destroying about obliterating everything you once knew.
“Yeah but… they were all clones by that point right?” Frost finally looked at him fully. “I can’t see him being too sad about that.”
“Well, the only other person there that day was Sektor.” Hanzo wanted to laugh at the idea he had anything to do with Kuai’s mood. If anything, he would be celebrating the death of that bastard. “And I doubt he’s this bent out of shape over him if all people.”
“Well I mean,” Frost bit her lip and crossed her arms over her chest, “there is always Sektor’s cybernetic memories.” Hanzo wasn’t sure what she was talking about. “If something more happened that day that we don’t know about, something with him and Cyrax, or even Sektor himself, it would have been caught, right?”
Hanzo paused and thought about it. That was absolutely true, if Sektor still had the memories that revealed the truth of Quan Chi’s deception, then he’d definitely have them from that day. Kuai had told him about the events from his point of view, but maybe Kuai was omitting the really bad parts.
But was going through Sektor’s memories really the answer? It felt underhanded, going behind Kuai’s back like that. If Kuai found out, would he ever trust Hanzo again?
“You seem conflicted,” Frost noted in a dull tone. “I mean, the option is yours, but that’s one way to get answers.” She flipped a strand of hair out of her face. “I can’t really help you with that. Anyway, I’ve got work to do.” She lazily waved, “later, Shirai Ryu Dog.”
Hanzo just rolled his eyes. Just because Frost wasn’t outright aggressive anymore, didn’t mean she was any more pleasant toward him. He decided it was easier to just let her make her snide remarks and insults rather than engage these days.
His thoughts went back to what she had said however. He was reluctant to take things that far, going snooping through Sektor’s memories to find an answer to a question that might not even exist. On the other hand, would Kuai ever actually admit what was wrong? At least if Hanzo knew, he could figure a way to gently help him, without letting on how much he really knew.
He took a deep breath, and despite his reservations, set off in the direction of where Sektor’s cybernetic head was safely stored away.
----------------------------------------------------
There was nothing immediately obvious in Sektor’s memories of that day that stuck out to Hanzo.
It seemed his memories kept recording even after Kuai had taken his head. He saw the last conversation between Kuai and Cyrax, and while it was definitely depressing, there wasn’t anything he wasn’t already expecting in there. He jumped around the encounter a bit, trying to find any strange incidents. There was a moment he found uncomfortable, where Sektor reached to grab Kuai’s chin, his metalic fingers digging into Kuai’s skin. It was far too intimate and almost possessive, and he hated the jealousy that began to swirl inside him.
He felt guilty about that. There was nothing about the gesture that should have earned that reaction from him. Yet there was a twisting in his gut telling him this was somehow the something more, but still not the full answer. Not quite anyway.
So he decided to go back in Sektor’s memories.
All the way back, back to when he was an early adult. He skimmed memories, skipping around without much purpose in the hopes of catching something to explain this strange instinct that had come over him. Things were just about as he expected, daily life in the Lin Kuei, discussions with his father, Bi-Han and Cyrax. None of these revealed anything. Until finally, he found a memory of Kuai Liang.
It was strange, mostly focused on Kuai’s face. It was always bizarre to see his husband looking so young, no grey hairs, or wrinkles, or that scar. But that wasn’t the strange thing about it. Kuai was panting, like he was doing something physically strenuous. Hanzo couldn’t figure it out for the life of him.
Until a moan came from Kuai’s mouth.
“What?” He muttered. No. No no no, that isn’t what’s going on here, it can’t be.
There were two hands on Kuai’s torso, suddenly flipping him over onto his stomach. Sektor’s gaze trailed down, sweeping along Kuai’s back and down to his ass. Hanzo wanted to vomit when he saw Sektor’s dick, poking at Kuai’s entrance before slowly pushing in. Kuai groaned again, causing Sektor to look up, wrapping a hand around Kuai’s mouth.
“Shut up! Do you want to get caught?” Sektor’s grip tightened and Hanzo saw Kuai shudder.
Mouth drying up, Hanzo watched in horror as he witnesses his boyfriend and enemy fuck like their lives depended on it, Sektor pounding Kuai into the mattress until they both reached their peak.
It was a one off. It had to be a one off, there was no way that Kuai Liang slept with Sektor more than once.
Right?
He wound through the memories, more throughly this time. Every so often, he came across another memory, another time Kuai and Sektor were intimate with each other. Sektor with Kuai against the wall, his hands around Kuai’s neck, Kuai on his knees and sucking Sektor off, the pair of them hiding in a secret area of the temple, Kuai riding Sektor. God, any position Hanzo could imagine them in, he found the evidence of them doing it.
He felt his world going hot. A burning smell as his rage boiled over into real flame. How dare Sektor think he even had the right to touch Kuai Liang? Let alone have sex with him? Jealousy was taking over, the desire to fucking strangle Sektor was unbearable.
Kuai Liang kept this from you.
That sudden thought did nothing to quell his anger. Why the hell had this never come up? Why was this not one of the first things Kuai had told him? Yes, Hanzo always knew Kuai had been sexually active in the past, he was far too skilled in that aspect of his life for him to have not been, but he would have never in a million years thought this was the answer. Not with fucking Sektor of all people.
It wasn’t a one time thing either. Maybe that he could understand, but this was multiple times over multiple years. No way it was just a fling, it was a full fledged relationship.
No amount of deep breathing and calming reaffirmations would help.
He needed answers.
He stormed back out into the corridor, on the hunt of the only person left to give him them.
----------------------------------------------------
He slammed open the door to Kuai’s room, too hot with anger to acknowledge the way Kuai jumped at the sudden intrusion.
“Hanzo, what the hell is going on?” Kuai asked as he stood up from his desk. Hanzo didn’t reply, just shut the door, even in his rage he was still aware that if anyone over heard them it wouldn’t be good. Hanzo just stood and seethed, and Kuai began looking extremely uneasy. “What’s wrong?”
“I know,” Hanzo hissed, and Kuai had the gall to look at him with confusion. “I know about you and Sektor.”
Kuai’s face dropped, he opened his mouth like he wanted to say something to defend himself but nothing came out.
“Do not try to deny it.” Hanzo took a step forward and was even more frustrated when Kuai took a step back. “I saw you in his memories. I know.”
“Hanzo-“
“Why the fuck didn’t you tell me?” Hanzo demanded, every step he took Kuai took several more backing away from him. “You were fucking Sektor, and you never thought that was something you should tell me about? What is wrong with you?”
“I didn’t-“
“And don’t try to say it was a one time thing, I saw you, it was multiple times!” By this point Kuai had backed himself against the wall, Hanzo only barely managed to comprehend how terrified he looked. “I trusted you! I told you all about my relationship, but you couldn’t do me the same dignity? You had to let me find out through Sektor’s sordid memories?”
“That-“
“Just fucking tell me why!” Hanzo slammed his hand down against the desk, watching as Kuai flinched like the fist had been in his direction. “I have told you everything why would you keep this from me?”
“Because I’m ashamed!”
Hanzo actually paused at that. It was amazing how just one sentence was enough to break through his anger and frustration. Kuai was shaking against the wall, lip wobbling and eyes full of tears, although he was looking away from Hanzo.
“I’m ashamed that I ever loved that bastard. And you can’t compare our past relationships, you just can’t!” Kuai wasn’t shouting, but god his voice sounded wrecked like he had been. “You married a woman who loved you with all her heart.” Kuai’s eyes finally met Hanzo’s as he choked out, “I fell in love with the man who ruined my life.”
There was a tense silence, but Hanzo let all the anger go, his fire extinguishing. Kuai pushed himself away from the wall on shaking legs, just about making it to his bed. He perched on the edge, putting his head in his hands and letting out a loud sob.
“Kuai Liang, I-“
“I’m sorry,” Kuai interrupted, before Hanzo could say his own apologies. “I’ve wanted to tell you, but I didn’t know how.” Kuai took a deep breath, but it seemed to do nothing to ease him down. “I was afraid this was how you’d react.” Kuai tried to wipe at his eyes. “I’m sorry this is how you found out.”
Hanzo didn’t know what to say. He hated that he’d made Kuai’s fears a self fulfilling prophecy, even if he knew he had every right to be angry, and Kuai seemed to acknowledge that too. Yet now, he couldn’t feel that way. Those words had been so raw, referring to Sektor as the man that had ruined his life. How shamed Kuai was by his own emotions. Hanzo only saw the sex, saw red, and came on the offensive. He didn’t delve into what the relationship was like otherwise, and if there was a more insidious reason Kuai had been reluctant to talk about it.
“I’m just upset you never told me,” Hanzo said, trying to keep his voice calmer now.
“I know.” Kuai finally looked up, there were tears streaming down his face. “The more time went on, the harder it became. I could just never find a good way to do it. A good way to say without upsetting you.”
There was silence again, Kuai bowed his head placing his hands behind it, tangling his fingers into his hair. There were still answers Hanzo wanted, and it seemed Kuai was finally going to talk, so there was no time like the present.
“So… Is this why you’re so upset today?” Hanzo asked, not really sure what he wanted from the answer. “It’s the anniversary of when you killed him?”
“I always struggle on this day,” Kuai admitted, keeping his eyes on the floor, like he just couldn’t bare to look at Hanzo. “I always start the day mourning Cyrax, promising myself this is his day because he did so much for me and deserves my respect, and I feel so guilty that Sektor manages to worm his way into my head every single year.” Kuai rubbed his eyes, trying to scrub away the tears forming. “I always remember, how when I went into that building, despite all the terrible things he’d done, I still loved him.” Kuai hiccuped, a sob and laugh at the same time. “That’s so fucking stupid isn’t it? He hurt me, and if I’d failed he would have hurt me again. Yet I was still a lovesick fool for him.”
“Do you still love him?”
“No,” Kuai answered quickly and forcefully. Despite being a little quick to answer, Hanzo believed this was the truth. “But, for some reason, I just get caught up in how I once had those feelings. I just think back, and go over things that happened, what I did wrong.” Kuai shook his head. “Like if I’d done something differently, if we’d run away together years ago, if I’d loved him more, loved him better… Could things have had a different ending? Could I have saved him from turning into the terrible person he did?”
“Kuai Liang,” Hanzo said softly, slowly approaching Kuai, and sitting next to him on his bed. He placed a hand on Kuai’s shoulder, hating how Kuai flinched as he did. “You did nothing wrong. There was nothing you could have done. Thinking of the past like this is dangerous.”
“I know, I try not to.” Kuai looked like he considered leaning against Hanzo, but went against it. Hanzo had a feeling that in this moment, Kuai was denying himself comfort because he didn’t feel like he deserved it. “I keep it locked away, but on this day, it all seems to spill out for some reason.”
Another silence came across them, thankfully not as tense anymore, but still suffocating in it’s somber tone.
“You know I used to think that was just what love was,” Kuai started. He still looked like he wanted physical contact from Hanzo, but was also uncomfortable with it. Hanzo decided to hold off for now, not wanting to push Kuai while he was already struggling. “Arguments and fights, turned to lust and sex.” He laughed bitterly, “I used to think it was normal for only one partner to say I love you.”
“Do you think he loved you?” Hanzo questioned, that emotional connection seemed one sided from Kuai’s perspective. From Hanzo’s it felt like Sektor just wanted someone to fuck and use as a punching bag.
“I don’t know,” Kuai admitted. “Maybe. There were times where he… was nice to me.” Hanzo couldn’t help hissing at that. That Kuai had been so mistreated he thought someone occasionally showing him kindness was the same as someone loving him. “When he converted me, there was… a line of code.”
Bile began to gather in the back of Hanzo’s throat as he asked, “what line of code?”
“I was programmed to love him.”
Oh, if Sektor was still alive Hanzo would have been out the door and hunting the fucker down so he could rip him apart.
He buried that anger though, Kuai was already shaken, and he didn’t want to scare him back into keeping all these things secret. Hanzo did cave on the physical contact however, wrapping his arms around Kuai and pulling him into the tightest hug he could. Kuai relaxed against him.
“There was this sick part of me that used to think, if he didn’t love me, why would he want me to love him?”
He didn’t love you, Hanzo thought, wanting to scream it from the fucking mountains. Anyone who loved you wouldn’t do that to you!
“He should not have done those things to you,” Hanzo muttered holding Kuai a little tighter, like if he didn’t Kuai was going to fall from his grasp. “I’m sorry I was angry my love, I did not mean to scare you. Thank you for opening up to me now, I know this wasn’t easy.”
“I am sorry, I really messed up not telling you sooner.” Kuai pushed away, just enough to look up at Hanzo. “You are the only person I’ve been with who treats me well. I was scared if you knew how much he broke me, that you would hate me. I did not want to lose you.”
“You aren’t broken, and even if you were I’d never hate you,” Hanzo softly replied, kissing the top of Kuai’s head. “Does anyone else know about this?”
“Only Johnny.” That surprised Hanzo. Not because it was Johnny, he knew that despite outward appearances, that the two were close. More that Johnny had been able to keep his mouth shut about something like this. “It was before we were together. We were talking about my experience in the cyber initiative and it just came out.” Kuai rested his head on Hanzo’s shoulder. “If it makes you feel better, he’s been nagging me about telling you for a long time.”
Hanzo wondered if he should feel a bit pissed that Johnny knew and hadn’t told him. Reality was, he was thankful that Johnny was such a good friend. He knew it wasn’t his place to bring up such a thing, and tried to coax Kuai into doing it himself. He made note to buy Johnny a beer at a later date.
However, this did make him realise something else Kuai had never really talked about.
“We’ve never talked about your experience as a cyborg,” Hanzo gently prompted. Now felt as good a time as any, given everything else they had been talking about.
“I know, it’s because it’s hard to explain what it was like,” Kuai softly muttered, nuzzling into Hanzo’s neck. “I was in this body, made out of metal and it wasn’t mine. I couldn’t feel anything other than pain, not even the heat or wind.” Hanzo agreed, that did sound like a hard thing to explain. “It was like I was a parasite, piloting a body that I’d infected.” Hanzo gently rubbed circles in Kuai’s back. “Even now, sometimes, I feel like this isn’t my body. Not really.”
“Why do you think that?” Hanzo asked, trying not to let off just how concerning he found that sentiment.
“This body is the one that Quan Chi rebuilt. So, can it really be mine?” It was depressing that Hanzo understood that logic. “And I keep finding these flaws on my body, marks that weren’t there before, scars and redness, bruises, and it just makes me believe that this body really isn’t mine, because mine didn’t have these flaws.”
If Hanzo was completely honest, he had no idea how to help with that. He reached down and pulled Kuai’s face up to his, kissing him softly. Kuai sighed into the kiss, wrapping his arms around Hanzo’s neck. Hanzo moved to gently kiss down Kuai Liang’s neck, earning a purr from him.
“You have endured so much,” Hanzo muttered against Kuai’s skin, mouthing at his throat. “I wish I could take away all the pain that has been inflicted on you.” Another kiss. “You are perfect, no matter what form you take. Allow me to make up for my initial reaction.”
“Should it not be me making it up to you?” Kuai said in a tired tone.
“You already have by being honest with me,” Hanzo explained, and it was true. At least in his mind as he was no longer angry at Kuai. The anger that remained was now squarely on Sektor, and his hatred for that asshole had reached new heights he didn’t know were possible. “And it is clear to me that right now, you need my reassurances more than anything that I may want.” He guided Kuai until he was on his back on the bed, Hanzo looking down at him, still trailing kisses along his collarbone. “Allow me to show you how much you mean to me, how much you deserve to be loved, and how you have always deserved better than this world has given you.”
Kuai nodded, and Hanzo went to give him one last kiss on the lips before he began to go lower. He pulled Kuai’s shirt up, immediately kissing down along his chest. Hands wandered to his pecs, feeling and the muscles, and pinching his nipples. Predictably Kuai ached his back, and whimpered.
“So sensitive,” Hanzo laughed, before closing his mouth around Kuai’s nipple and gently sucking. Kuai gasped and went to reach for Hanzo’s head, pushing him closer. Hanzo purred, his tongue swirling around.
“H-Hanzo,” Kuai groaned, squirming already. Hanzo pulled away, he wouldn’t torture Kuai like this, not today.
He continued to kiss down his Kuai’s torso, taking care to kiss every inch. Kuai’s body was a temple, and he was here to worship. Kuai’s writhed under him, sweet noises spilling from his lips. He didn’t want to think of Sektor’s memories, not right now, yet he couldn’t help observe how different Kuai’s sounds were. Hanzo was the only person who could make Kuai sound so sweet, so content. No matter how he felt about Kuai’s past relationships, these sounds were proof that Hanzo was the one Kuai had chosen above all others, and the one he felt most comfortable being vulnerable with.
No amount of force and control could make someone love like this.
Hanzo’s hands were hooking into Kuai’s pants, pulling them down and off. Kuai was already half hard, and Hanzo marvelled at how Kuai’s body reacted to his touch. Hanzo licked up along Kuai’s shaft, taking in the head and softly sucking on it. As he teased at Kuai’s cock, his hands reached for those perfect thighs, gently parting them.
He released Kuai’s cock, letting it fall against his stomach. He shifted further down, throwing Kuai’s legs over his shoulders. He mouthed at Kuai’s thighs, earning more of those angelic noises. Kuai’s hands went to find the headboard. Hanzo’s mouth reached Kuai’s entrance, lapping the flat of his tongue against it. He felt Kuai buck and tense for a few seconds, before relaxing, at which point Hanzo licked again and Kuai’s reaction repeated.
Cute~
He didn’t work his tongue in straight away, spent what felt like forever just licking around the rim, teasing Kuai and watching how hard the man was getting. Hanzo ran a hand down his navel, feeling it sticky with precum. As his hand reached for Kuai’s cock, he finally relented and pressed his tongue inside. The sharp intake of breath and the way Hanzo felt Kuai’s legs begin to tremble was all the confirmation that Kuai was enjoying himself he needed.
Hanzo began to stroke Kuai as his tongue pushed in deeper. Kuai was muttering to himself, bucking into Hanzo’s hand while simultaneously trying to get more of the feeling of Hanzo’s tongue. Some words Hanzo understood, his name, pleas for more, but other times Kuai was just lapsing into Mandarin. Despite the language barrier, he could tell they were words of pleasure from the tone. He sounded breathless, his pants even but heavy.
“Hanzo,” Kuai gasped as Hanzo’s mouth sealed around his hole and he sucked. “Ah! Hanzo please.”
Hanzo briefly pulled back to ask, “what do you need, snowflake?”
He didn’t wait for Kuai’s reply before his tongue was working it’s way back inside.
“Hanzo, I’m going to-“
Kuai didn’t finish his sentence, cutting himself off with a loud groan. Hanzo already knew what he had been about to say. He doubled his efforts, swirling his tongue inside and speeding up the jerking of his hand. It didn’t take long for Hanzo to feel Kuai reach his limit, Hanzo’s hand becoming wet as he came. Hanzo pulled away, sitting upright and watching as he finished wringing the orgasm out of him.
Kuai lay there, bleary eyed and panting up at Hanzo. There was only one word on Hanzo’s mind.
“Beautiful,” he whispered, crawling over Kuai and leaning over him once again. “You are so beautiful.”
Kuai blinked, tears escaping his eyes as he did.
“I don’t deserve you,” he croaked, he was smiling despite everything. “You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me, and I don’t-“
“You do,” Hanzo said in a low rumble leaning down to once again claim Kuai’s lips. “I will spend the rest of my life proving to you that this is the love you deserve.”
“I’m sorry.” Kuai’s hands finally released the headboard, reaching to wrap around Hanzo’s shoulders. “I’m sorry.”
“Shh,” Hanzo whispered, moving so he was on his side next to Kuai Liang, pulling him close. “You’re okay. I’m here. I will always be here. I won’t leave you. Rest, love, you need it.”
He spent the rest of the night, holding Kuai to him, stroking his hair, and whispering assurances into his ear, until Kuai finally fell asleep.
----------------------------------------------------
Hanzo awoke with his arms still around Kuai. Kuai’s eyes were half open, like he’d only just come around himself. They stared at each other for a few moments.
“Good morning,” Hanzo finally greeted, “how are you feeling?”
“Relieved,” Kuai admitted quietly, “for having the truth finally out there. For you still being here.”
“I promise I am not going anywhere,” Hanzo sighed softly, and lent to kiss Kuai’s temple. “There are still questions I have, but they can wait. I’m glad getting this off your chest finally has helped you.”
Kuai was quiet, shifting so he was sitting up against the headboard. Hanzo stayed in his position, although propped his head up on his hand.
“There is still one more thing I want to tell you about now, though.” Hanzo felt his heart drop a little. What more could there possibly be? “I have a trunk. It’s in the wardrobe.” Hanzo had seen the trunk before, but he’d left it alone, figuring it was just extra storage for Kuai’s clothing. “It has some of Sektor’s old belongings in it.” Hanzo felt himself shift slightly, although he hadn’t really meant to. “I had no intention to keep them, but as times gone on, they’ve just sort of stayed there, because I can’t bare to look at them long enough to dispose of them.”
Hanzo pushed himself off the bed, walking over to the wardrobe. He opened the doors, and saw the trunk. He grabbed it and pulled it out. It was absolutely covered in dust, so Kuai’s claim’s of avoiding it were true at least. He considered opening it, having a look to see if there was anything useful in there. As he looked across the room, Kuai was pointedly not looking in his direction anymore. Clearly just seeing the trunk was bad enough, no point pouring more salt into the wound by routing through it.
Besides, he had a feeling he knew why Kuai had brought it up.
“Do you want to dispose of it?” He asked, and Kuai Liang nodded his head. Hanzo stared at it, trying to think the best way to get rid of it for good. Well, it is wood. And wood did tend to make good kindling. “Do you want to burn it?”
Kuai pursed his lips for a second, before lowly replying “yes, I think I do.”
They didn’t say another word. They both took their time to wash up and get dressed, and once they were ready, Hanzo hauled the trunk in his arms. He silently followed Kuai through the corridors, the only words spoken was Kuai to a few members of his clan, asking that the courtyard be left empty for an hour or so, and that he would give the word when it was okay to go back out there.
Hanzo set the trunk down in the centre of the courtyard, waiting for Kuai to stand a safe distance away. Kuai just stared as Hanzo lit a fire in his hands.
“Last chance to back out,” Hanzo claimed, as Kuai took a deep breath.
“Do it,” replied in a resolved tone. Hanzo did not have to be told twice.
Hanzo held his hand out, waiting for the flame to take to the wood. When he was sure it was alight, he moved his hand away, and walked to stand beside Kuai. The trunk started burning, flames spreading along it’s structure. Kuai watched intently, his face blank but tears welling in his eyes. Hanzo reached out and took his hand, immediately noticing how tightly Kuai held it.
“Are you okay?” He asked, even though he already knew the answer.
“Yes,” Kuai whispered. An obvious lie but not one Hanzo was willing to call him out on right now. “Good riddance.”
Good riddance indeed.
They didn’t move, until the fire stopped burning, and the mementos of Sektor were nothing but ash.

Okay so like, we started talking to an old friend again that we haven't talked to in like over a year, almost a year and a half honestly and it naturally has me having to go through the "aight what have you missed in the Feathers Saga" and thinking about it made me go "ok its a good chance to make a list of Total Ws in life and recovery to celebrate a year and a half of progress" cause god damn theres been a lot
Lets GO. 1.5 Year "we got this bread" positivity post to just go "God DAMN we are doing GOOD" (not an exhaustive list though cause that requires me to remember and go through every event over a year and a half and I may be at functional multiplicity but my memory is still garbage)
Trauma, DID, and Recovery Achievements:
Identified and got a system consensus that our oldest sister is a piece of shit and basically our life long "handler" and HARD cut her off out of our life
Rebuilt really good relationship (neutral but pleasant to supportive and reliable) with our other direct family members who don't try to force us to interact with her
Identified that we are probably considered polyfragmented and very quickly accepted it cause quite frankly we don't really care
Got most parts to acknowledge that we aren't faking being Asian (I know but that was a long one I swear to god)
Basically entirely got over our 6 year long difficulty driving cars SO much to the point we have multiple parts ARGUING who gets to drive and actively WANTING to drive
Largely let go of a lot of the anger and hurt directed at our parents for their role in our childhood trauma
Largely helped our main CSA trauma holder basically fully go into PTSD remission to the point hes now an uber helpful tertiary host and arguably one of our most comfortable parts talking about CSA related topics
Cleared stabilization phase of recovery and achieved functional multiplicity as confirmed by our DID specialist at the time
Fused like so many parts ngl. I don't know if Riku 1.0 and XIV 1.0 fused with their respective parts to be Riku 2.0 and XIV 2.0 around then cause it was about the time we stopped talking but there was that, the whole Data subsystem and shit, integrating Chunn into the system and helping him renavigate that crap, Lin fusing with an inner world part and shit - lots of that XD
Became a (Zen-leaning) Buddhist which plays a decent role in how we approach our mental health and cultural identity
Finally went from "undiagnosable autistic" to "Yeah you are autistic" because functional multiplicity enabled a more clear diagnosis
LOTS of gender dysphoria shit and gender shit that is too much work to break into main bullet points
Gained massive insight into how we intend to approach our reclaiming of sexuality
Learned to literally meditate and just enjoy existing
Realized we reaaaaaalllllly have a low threshold for dealing with people who we don't actively and strongly enjoy being around
Career and Direction Wise:
Graduated our undergrad - woot woot
Got a job supporting special ed - enjoyed it made good connections but also noted that god no dealing with people so much is not our cup of tea
Got a BETTER job at a reputable university to support research on aging memory with mice that has really good benefits - really like this job but also its not our cup of tea because we don't really enjoy the monotony
Came to the decision that research wise we really would rather deal with people on the "less" than the "more" end, scratching off a lot of human-focused research interests at least for the time being and greatly narrowing our previously wide scope down to the more animal heavy side
Sitting on old topics we researched and found interest in, realized the one thing our brain kept going back to was metrics of studying animal mental states and that we really probably would enjoy that as a nice balance between our interest and what we have the personal ability to engage in sustainably
Decided we are in fact going back to our PhD now that we have decided that 1) working life as a gear in a machine is cool and relaxing and shit, but it lowkey makes us depressed with how stagnant it is and we need more going on in our work life to keep us happy so "ok we tried that, we don't like it, back to the plan" 2) we have a pretty good idea of what we want to study at least for the beginning of a PhD career that could go in different directions organically
Scheduling currently a Zoom meeting with a professor we are interested in to informally discuss graduate studies
Independence, Hobbies and Other Shit:
We live on our own, sustain our life on our own and live with our fiance who - despite being currently unable to work due to disabilities - we are able to support and sustain (also bless zen Buddhism making it easy to be happy and enjoy life on a lower income)
Made some really nice mutuals - you know who you are - yall are good company love yall
Between the parts that are co-hosting, we have so many hobbies and interests its ridiculous; but we added electric guitar, ukelele, and recently a drum pad to our musical repertoire; gardening and plant care (which we suck at which is fine) added to the hobby
Became painful morning people as a result to our job and kinda realized we prefer it sorry for being that guy
Lost the ability to do the peacock call due to T dropping our voice range like a BITCH but in returned gained Raven calls and duck / goose noises
Also learned to do finch calls
Rescued two lovebirds when we moved to an apartment with our fiance - they are lesbians and very confused about it
Adopted a cat my fiance's mom was fostering from a kitten cause shes a shoulder cat (bird) and also now because of XIV she is also a dog who plays fetch and loves belly rubs (she also has extra toes)
Consistently continued doing art, developing the story world, encouraging my writing partner to get into art, aggressively shaking all my friends to art with me
Got Lin to be obsessed with art with me as well
Kept up a 230 day duolingo streak juggling like 6 or 7 different languages (the last like 120~ days or so have been a lot more 'just keeping it up' and me just doing one lesson of Japanese a day since its the one I know the best but it HAS been kept up)
Transitioning:
Started T and stayed taking T
Got a hysterectomy GOOD BYE PCOS
Am charted for seeing a surgeon to discuss bottom surgery this month
Am charted for seeing consult for top surgery at Some Point when the insurance stuff goes through
Have long since forgone our Dead Name in almost every area and got comfortable with our Chosen Name
Considering participating in Transmasculine No Shave November out of Transpride
