I used to run a personal headcanon acc and one of my old faves was that Sarah twdg loves my little pony and keeps a few of the toys in the cabin. She’ll sometimes get the other survivors to play ponies with her. Imagining Luke and Nick playing with colorful ponies to make her happy gives me life idkkk 😭😭❤️

She smiled, Like looked at the drawing again seeing the smaller stick figure next to them then noticed she drew something in the corner that looked like a dick "oh honey is that a butterfly?" Luke asked and smiled then Penelope shook her head and Luke's smile faded "what is it" he asked "it's a penis!" She yelled and Nick burst out laughing in the next room "i- honey where did you learn that" Luke asked the color In his face draining "daddy showed me!" She said excitedly and Luke sighed, of course he did that fucker "Honey that's not something we just draw" Luke sighed and she looked at him confused "no daddy said it's normal to have a penis" she tried to reason with Luke and he shook his head "sometimes daddy is a bit dumb" Luke sighed again. Nick walked into the room and smiled at his husband and daughter "that's cause it is" Nick smirked "yes it is normal but not to draw" Luke glared at Nick and Nick just kept laughing "Dada do I have a penis?" Penelope asked innocently and Nick laughed even harder "fuck I'm crying" Nick said and walked out of the room "sweetheart you don't have a penis" Luke sighed cursing his husband she nodded and kept drawing. Nick walked back into the room wiping his eyes from laughing so hard and Luke glared over at him mouthing that he was gonna kill him.

Storm after the calm

“W-what” the color from Nick’s face drained as he looked at his mother who was recently bitten “i got bit Nick” she rolled her sleeve up showing him the bite “you can’t be.. Mom please don’t joke” he was holding back tears. The woman shook her head and put her hands on each side of his face smiling at him sadly. Nick held his mom’s hands and looked her in the eyes, the same eyes he saw stare back at him in the mirror everyday, tears streamed down his face as she held him. It was just the two of them, Nick had no idea where everyone went but it didn’t really matter at the moment, his mom was dying and there was nothing he could do about it “we could cut your arm off or something, Pete could do it it’ll all be ok you’re not gonna die” Nick said through sobs “kiddo there is nothing you can do now” she smiled at him again “stop… stop it this is all so fucked i can’t do this” he cried sitting down and she kneeled to his level, he had his hands over his ears, closing his eyes trying to make this nightmare go away “Nick baby look at me” she whispered and his opened his eyes crying even harder “you’re gonna have to kill me” she whispered once again. He instantly felt sick, he was gonna fucking throw up, there was no way he was gonna be able to do it. Carver stood there on the rooftop making everyone watch this madness going on about what makes a man “are you fucking insane?!” Luke yelled at the man finally catching on to his plan, Carver was gonna make Nick kill his mom and make everyone watch like it was some television show “Nick is weak, he’s gotta prove his strength” Carver said sternly to the group. Pete was still in shock and was completely panicking, he knew he was going to lose his sister but he couldn’t lose Nick too “you’re a fucking nut you asshole, don’t put him through this!” Luke tried to throw himself at Carver but was met with the butt of Troy’s rifle and was knocked to the ground. Nick’s mom sat next to him “I want you and Pete to take care of each other and don’t push Luke away after this, you two need to still stay strong together” she curled Nick’s hair on her finger, he rested his head on her shoulder “please take me with you” he whispered and she shook her head “you need to be here for the people you love” she played with his hair and he shut his eyes crying “Nick.. you need to get out of here, do you understand me” she whispered to him looking up at Carver as he stared down at her making his entire crew watched he nodded “you and Luke need to work together to get out of here as soon as yall can” she whispered to him making sure Carver wouldn’t hear her “did Carver do this to you” he whispered to her and she sighed. Nick waited with his mom till she turned, they were lying close together when she turned, Nick heard her stop breathing at one point and sighed crying. He stood up and walked away from her knowing she would turn. He looked around the room he was in trying to find the exit, he couldn’t find the exit and at that moment he knew this was one of Carver’s mind fucks. He started to panic knowing she’d turn soon, then a pistol was thrown under the door to him. Nick froze, he knew what he had to do and didn’t know if he had the courage to do it, he picked the pistol up looking at his now dead mother. He lifted the gun but was shaking so badly he couldn’t do it, he lowered the gun again. He had heard raspy breathing coming from the corner, he was full on sobbing looking at the woman who was once his mother crawl towards him, he raised his gun once more at the woman closing his eyes as he pulled the trigger, he opened his eyes to see her now fully dead body at his feet, Nick raised the gun to his own head. nothing , the gun was now empty, he shot his mother. Nick dropped to his knees and let out the loudest scream he could dropping the gun to the floor “FUCK YOU” he screamed at the sky not seeing Carver but knowing he was there. He collapsed to the ground sobbing, he felt someone pull him to their chest and looked up to see Luke bleeding like he had been beaten to death. He wrapped his arms around Luke sobbing, Luke looked over to see Pete holding his sister in his arms crying… out of all the things Carver had done to them this had to be the most fucked up thing he had ever done

I know I've posted about it before but I swear if I ever meet Nick Lang I'm going to ask him if Wilbur Cross is supposed to be an homage to Randall Flagg in the 1994 miniseries for Stephen King's The Stand, because I think about this every fucking day and I can't stand not knowing for certain.
