Rewatching Merlin and I think the reason Arthur’s personality started going downhill again in S2 is because BBC’s writers wanted to introduce Gwen as a love interest to him and realized (too late) what they did in S1 between Arthur and Merlin— damn they’re going around drinking poison for each other, dreaming of one another, making oaths and envisioning their kingdom together, welcoming death if it means the other would survive, staring. STARING. They’re gay. We made them gay. Holy shit.

Remember how this was actually a thing that happened?
They actually had Sam send several texts to Castiel and then stare at the lack of response like a lovesick forlorn thirteen year old. Supernatural did that. And then had them gasp each other's names when they were reunited like they were long lost lovers who thought they'd never see each other again.
Really, the last three seasons of Supernatural were underrated.

Imagine how good it must have felt for Peter to be able to hold her again though…he missed her like crazy, she’s the love of his life and he for her, holding her even for a few seconds must have felt incredible

I just love that Sam didn't get angry with Castiel for not returning his calls or texts in 15x07. For exactly two sentences he seemed a little upset, but then he just. Immediately let it go. Because he loves Castiel, and just can't be angry with him. Like, since the beginning of season 7, has Sam ever once been angry with Castiel? That's a genuine question. Like he wasn't even openly angry with Castiel at ANY point for breaking the wall in his head that was protecting him from thousands of years of Hell memories. The ONLY reason that Sam tried to kill Castiel was to save the world. He was also the ONLY person who still believed that the Castiel he loved was still there at the beginning of s7. Sure, buried deep, but still there. Bobby didn't believe it. Dean didn't believe it. But Sam KNEW it. He KNEW that Castiel hadn't disappeared. And it was Sam's belief in him that broke through to who Castiel really was. Sam's love for Castiel saved the world. And we just don't appreciate that the way we should.
