Now hold on a gosh-diddly-darn minute, I noticed the entire time talking about a tipsy Peppino no one thought to ask this but what about tipsy GUS? I mean we saw him a li'l tipsy in the fastfood saloon escape, can I hear your thoughts about that/him please? Have they ever gotten tipsy together?

My homebrew for gnomes is that they are simultaneously hardy folk (able to eat virtually anything and immune to most poisonous creatures) AND extremely intolerant of alcohol. Theres no reason for that, i just like it alot :)

So Gus would be an extreme lightweight 😭 its SO bad; he cant speak clearly at all, he cant walk straight, he has the Worst hangovers and he wont remember anything from the previous night. The line between ‘pleasantly buzzed’ and ‘blackout drunk’ is so thin that Gus doesnt even try social drinking. If he MUST drink, it will be in the comfort of his own barebones apartment 😭 at least, until Peppino started hanging out with vigilante and his crew.

Gustavo LIKES drinking! Its just hard to find a good balance, and THATS bc he simply doesnt know how alcohol works. Peppino is like:

“Look ‘ere. All of these have a number somewhere on the bottle. Or a percentage. Lower the number, the better it is for you.”

Gustavo is like !!! Oh!!! That is very helpful! What would you recommend for me then?

Hes very. Playful. Is what Peppino would describe a tipsy Gustavo. He hesitates to use the term ‘flirty’ because that is not whats happening. But hes like. Its funny at first bc Gustavo is so fucking TINY that all you can see of him, in the group of men as they yapyapyap about some inane shit that Gustavo wont even remember, is his tiny little tail 😭 It is less funny, however, when Peppino catches himself rambling about work and Gustavo is like (ears perked; tail swaying) ‘mmhmm. wrow…thats ‘a kinda nice…what else did you do??’ Peppino is like *buffering* (‘something is happening right now that will need to be addressed at a later time. Otherwise Gustavo is just a silly guy. Vigilante will make a joke and he laughs so low and deep that he sounds downright villainous 😭 Peppino will point out something stupid on the TV and like hours later Gus is like ‘…heeeuehuuueee…..do u remember [insert stupid reference] and Peppino will giggle. Peppinos affinity for throwing around ilus are met with Gustavo going ‘😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊’ with absolutely no way to even pretend to mask it.

Gustavo has fun being out in the saloon but he really enjoys drinking in Peppinos house. Its not nearly as loud as the saloon and theres usually homecooked foods like breads and soups (Because Peppino stress-cooks ALL the time). Brick gets to stay indoors instead of waiting outside the saloon, so Gustavo gets to mess with his soft fur contentedly. He just gets to be cozy; its quite nice 😊

I keep on having dreams about my old friend. The dreams aren’t sexual or anything of the sort, they’re just us hanging out, the latest one we were sort of running away (?) together. I can’t exactly recall the dream. Said friend never texted me and still doesn’t which is why I cut off contact. They only contacted me a few times during one period where I was having a hard time, this stuck with me because no one else checked in on me. However, they were my friend of 5 or so years. I can’t help but miss them though. I’ve never had a relationship like that and sometimes I’m afraid I never will. Lately I’ve been isolating which could be why I’m yearning for an old relationship. What should I do?

I’m sorry you have to go through that, it sounds very draining.

I’m going to give you some tough love. Your friend isn’t the one to blame if you’ve been isolating, that’s something that is mostly in your own control. I understand that you’ve had a hard time in the past, but that doesn’t mean that you make things difficult for your future self.

We all need relationships in our life. Human beings are social animals.

If said friend was someone who you had to cut off, then maintain that discipline for yourself. Don’t get stuck in a loop of cutting them out and then getting back with them in the short run. However, don’t discount the fact that people can change and do change with time. Perhaps now is not the best time to be friends, perhaps in a few years, when you’ve both matured, it will be easier to be friends again - but let that happen organically. But also reflect on where YOU could have gone wrong in that friendship. Ending a friendship is often two ways, although we may see it as one way- both parties, to an extent, have a percentage that they’re responsible for. I’m not telling you to be hard on yourself, I’m telling you to be objective. Be honest with yourself.

How do you know that you wont have a similar type of friendship - or even one better! - unless you go out there and try? With what right can you make such a harsh judgment? That’s your fear and your own insecurity telling you that you probably don’t deserve something beautiful. That’s not true. There’s billions of people on this planet, its just a matter of time that you will resonate with someone. But you have to make that happen for yourself.

Getting out of a slump is difficult, but even doing small things may do wonders for you. I’m rooting for you xx

THE SUN IN VIRGO IN THE HOUSES(SUN TRANSIT IN THE HOUSES)

So incase you guys don't know, the sun is malefic and that's what we are going to talk about on the last day of Leo season which is Sunday and the Sun is Leos ruling planet.

Virgo season starts tomorrow and this is what you need to know.

Virgo is a dual sign, the M and the fish at the tail. To me, it means Mother (the M) and child(the fish). Virgo represents facts and order. The Sun is how you see yourself. Most of the things I mention below are going to be your own doing.

Someone might be looking into paternity because they either feel skeptical that the child they are raising is not theirs or their father is not their biological dad as they have been made to believe. The twelfth house is the house of endings, spirituality, dreams and the subconscious. The Sun transit Virgo twelfth house may mean that you need to have detailed end of life plans, pay for them now or start saving up for them now. It doesn't matter if you are just 18, start. I’m so sorry that you are hurting so much. I guess I seem woefully ignorant, but I don’t understand how you think everyone is welcoming and furthering more deaths, when I’ve been trying so hard to do right by all the people I care about- masks, vaccines, boosters, literally never going anywhere but work, etc. I feel like I’m going crazy after two years of this. If there’s something else I can do to help, I will happily do it- just tell me what else there is, because I feel totally helpless.

Truth is, I've been going out more and just saying fuck it more and just doing more errands and whatnot, too. We all are.

That's why I think things are looking pretty bleak. In the short and long term. Let's show some math real quick.

Assuming Covid-19, OG formula, has a transmission factor for 1?

Well, We discovered that the Alpha variant that largely supplanted it was about 50% more transmissible than the original, which gives us a transmission score of 1.5.

Then Delta comes around and it's about 50% more transmissible than Alpha and supplants it globally, everywhere, for a score of 2.25.

And now a sub-variant of delta, A.Y.4.2 (which because of my Sopranos rewatch I call "EEEHHHHYY, WHHHHHYYYY, 42!?!?") is "about 10%" more transmissible than Delta.

Which sounds GREAT compared to the 50%--only a small problem?

A 10% increase on 2.25 make it just under 2.5 (2.475).

Look at that jump. Mathematically. The 50% Alpha had was a .5. This 10% is a .25.

Rate we're going we'll hit -10 years (as much as the Civil War drop plus the Spanish Flu drop plus WW1 drop in male mortality, combined) by the end of 2023.

Now that's a prediction, now that's something that's not already baked into the cake, because it could change for the better.

But given that we're on 700 days in a row of it getting worse---how?

So yeah, I'm struggling with it, because I either have fully realized a threat that wont materialize, or I'm ahead of the curve for something that people are going to deny once it's here anyway. These are, in Covid times, not the easiest times for me.

All it took was one bright red letter and four words to intrigue the most beloved, foreign exchange student of New York University, Tom Holland. If his name sounds familiar to you, then you already know the answer to the question that just popped in your head. Yes, not only was Tom Holland a well renowned actor, he was also a student exploring the wonders of college along with his best friend Harrison. Some say he was only attending to prepare for a role, others say he did it to have his fun with sorority girls, and a very small percentage believed he was actually trying to get his degree in theater. Whatever the reason, college life suited him well, being the head of the Beta Gamma Sigma Fraternity, living the bachelors life with a new girl around his arm every week, but it was all the same...until he found that red letter sticking out of an abandoned shelf in the Potter’s Library.

He remembered it clearly, the day he found it. Tom had reluctantly arrived at the Library assuming his mates would be there to actually study for an exam they had this upcoming week. Lord knows if they didn’t pass this final with at least a C this semester, they would surely relive the nightmares with Professor Gonpu in the next. Yet to no surprise, none of them came and ditched last minute as the pool of messages started to flood his phone.

“Great.” Tom muttered to himself as he took a seat at the far right corner of the library. The area was empty, and as he slouched on the wooden chair and pushed it back, the boy hadn’t realize how close to the empty shelf he was. With a single thud, came a small red letter floating above and gently making its way down to his lap. The inviting words peaked his interest, and while he checked both front and back for a name, the letter should have been addressed to...there was none. He unfolded it and read it to himself.

You seem like the type of person that has nothing better to do, so let’s make it a little more interesting. I wont tell you who I am, but if I deem you worthy...I just might.

I’ll give you five clues to figure out this location. Everything you need is here in the Library. And...if you even think about using that phone, you might as well put this letter back where you found it. After all.. you’re in a library and it’s got all the information you need. Ready?

Tom looked at it puzzled by the words. “Do people actually do this shit?”, he thought to himself. He continued to read on, examining each clue and the 5 lines next to them.

1. You’ll find your first clue, deals with a tragic romance. He had all the money in the world but never ends up with the one he loves.

“Too easy.” Tom smiled to himself as he quickly looked for The Great Gatsby. He referenced the red letter seeing only 3 spaces for the first clue. “Jay” he whispered to himself, as he triumphantly wrote out the words.

2. Know what else is more shitty than dying and not having the love your life? Writing a depressing poem about the love your life dying. Or as Poe would imagine, a beautiful maiden by the sea.

He smirked at the line, knowing fully well the poem that the mysterious letter was referencing, and quickly headed to the poetry section. Tom scanned the row of books, until the black book with white lettering caught his eye. Flipping through the broken pages, he found exactly what he was looking for. “In this kingdom by the sea, but we loved with a love that was more than love, I and my Annabel Lee.” he muttered the lines, a smile slowly creeping up. Tom writes out the word “Lee” in the 3 lettered blank. “Tragic Romance, how typical.” he says to himself. Though his voice was laced with disinterest, it was Tom’s favorite poem, but he’d never tell anyone that.

It continued on this rhythm of deciphering clues and running around the Library like a chicken without a head to figure out what the letter wanted from Tom. He had been so focused that his plan to study for Gonpu’s final and meeting with the fraternity has completely flown out the window. As of now, Tom’s main priority was to find the answers to the letter’s puzzling challenge. Maybe, if he answered it, he would know who the mysterious writer was.

Then it happened. The last clue was solved, as Tom quickly wrote out the final word, examining his work and trying to make sense of what he found. There were no other instructions left on the letter which only made Tom more puzzled. It wasn’t a name. It wasn’t a thing. It was a place on campus. Jay Lee’s Coffee Lounge, the most serene coffee spot you’ll ever find in NYU. It offered all the essentials needed to focus and complete your work all with a side of great cold brew made in house. People say it’s NYU’s best kept secret, but really it’s because students will rarely go since it’s so out of the way.

He made it to the shop after thirty minutes, and stepped into the calm atmosphere. The smell of gingerbread lattes hit him once he opened the doors, and soft chatter between students filled the air. He looked around the area in hopes to find the person who wrote the letter. Perhaps they were waiting for him, but it was unlikely since Tom wasn’t even sure if the letter was written that same day. For all he knew, he could be wasting his time, and yet....it didnt feel like it. Almost as if he felt he was meant to be here.

“Mate, what are you doing here?!” Tom followed the robust British voice as he whipped his head to the counter. His best friend Harrison, dressed in a Jay Lee’s short sleeved shirt.

“Harrison? You...work here?” He asked voice filled with confusion. Not once did Harrison tell Tom about his side job. In fact it was almost offensive to think the blonde hair bloke would even it hide it from him.

“Yeah...I didn’t really tell anyone because well you know, it’s the last place people would expect a frat to be working in. Reputations and all...What about you? I didn’t think this place was your type of thing.” he asked.

“It’s not...” he paused for a moment, debating on whether to tell Harrison what he found. If it led Tom here, Harrison might know who wrote the letter. He hoped it was girl...God he really hoped it was. “Actually, I was at the library today waiting for you divs --”

“Oh yeah sorry mate.” Harrison looked at Tom apologetically.

“No, its fine really. But I found something interesting, and --”

“Tom, if it’s another blonde wannabe model, I --”

“Bloody hell, Harrison just listen to me. I..” Tom paused for a moment to quickly check his surroundings before pulling up the red paper. “I found this red letter. Made me go on bloody goose chase and led me here. You dont happen to know anything about this do you?”

Harrison took the letter and examined it thoroughly reading the lines word for word and the notes Tom made next to them. He was just as intrigued, but unfortunately shook his head, unsure of the answer to Tom’s question as well. “Sorry, Mate. I have no clue. Never seen anyone here writing out a red letter before.”

Tom held the letter, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Was this it? Did he really just waste a whole 3 hours in the library and 30 minutes worth of gas for nothing? “I just dont understand.” he muttered.

“Look if you really think the person that wrote this letter wanted you to be here, why don’t you just write a message in it and post it on the corkboard? Im working the entire week, so I’ll keep an eye on who grabs it and let you know.“

Why Caleb did what he did in ep127 – my theory.

This is my theory it can be super wrong, maybe I am right at some points, I just want to put it out there, maybe some of  you will like it. Here we go:

Caleb is my fav character the whole campaign so far and what he did in that episode shocked me, it was so not like him. We did see him when cornered he would go rampage but was he cornered here? So I was shocked.

I was shocked he didnt discuss the problem that might come from this with the M9, they didnt talk about it might be a trap they just went for it. They didnt think twice and that was alarming for me and the second they interacted with the guards it all went south and Caleb ignored Astrids tip of being stealthy to avoid Trent. And in the end he did appear and I was like „that is what you get when you just go full rage and dont think a second about it and Caleb you were the thinker in this campaign why did you do all of that?! Next episode I want an explanation for this or I am out!“

Caleb knew what he was doing all the time, he knew if he would do all of this Trent would show up.

There is no way he did forget that because Astrid told him super clear that Trent isnt there so they should be STEALTHY.  But he didnt. He ignored the warnings and put Astrid in danger with that as well, a soon as Trent sees the maps he knows who helped and Astrid will be punished. He said he cares for her and puts her in this danger! It was all a lie? Astrid deserves so much better than this! Boo Caleb for treating a girl that was obviusly in pain so she cried because of you like that! I was at least a bit happy that Matt clearly said Trent did appear because of the rucus, not because of Astrid. She didnt sent Trent. She didnt do it.

Caleb ignoring Astrid and her advice and destroying the bit of Trust that was building up between them – shatterd. „Caleb thats so stupid why are you that stupid.“

I was all that. I was so disappointed.

I woke up next morning and was still disappointed and a bit angry that Caleb went this route with all the murder. He knew Trent will maybe show up and catch them while stealing his stuff and he did it anyway. It was like Caleb wanted Trent to show up. To show him how much he hates him and to show him what he is capable off. Because Trent knows that now because he sees the display of raw power he might want to get Caleb back under his thumb and make him work for him again. There is no way out of this situation for them, than to bargain with Trent and he imo will let them got when they will do him a favor later. Caleb must have known that and still did this.

He is just playing into Trents hand where everyone wanted him to escape from. Because Trent is so bad.

And I was: Wait a minute.

What if all of this, the killing and blood everywhere, is an act made up by Caleb? What if he is playing Trents mind game back at him?

He is giving Trent a view on him like Trents want to think of Caleb: Powerful, full of hate against the Volstruker and Trents experiments, full on revenge and wants to kill him, Trent, but also is no match for him with getting so easily caught in the middle of his home. He has power but he isnt clever enough. What if Caleb wanted to get caught by Trent? Pretend he is not clever so Trent thinks he isnt clever and can be a puppet for him again?

While  pretendign being a puppet again, Caleb can get closer to him/the Assembly to learn more about him and his connections in the Assembly. To learn how to root out all the corruption in the assembly wich is his main goal this whole campaign! He wanted to learn about all that from Ves, we know that, but that didnt work out so he has to do it another way and now he doing it on his own.

He knows, he can not fight the Assembly heads up. He knows he has to get inside first and root out evil from within. He has to earn some trust to get the info he wants to have. He cannot trust anyone so he goes on his own and wants to plays Trents game and maybe be better this time and beat Trent. What better way to beat someone than in his own game right?

And do you remember who talked about beating someone at their own game? Do you? It was Astrid during the dance scene. She said „...either we walk into their trap or beat them in their own game.“

In that scene i thougt she was talking about the TT because she touched his spots with the red eyes a second before and it bothered me that she said „we“. Was she planning on going with them to Eiselcross? That wont happen anyway (she would need trents permission/it would be to obvious and Trent would not let them go so they can come up with a plan to kill him) this is stupid. So now I get she was talking about „we either beat Trent and whomever we are fighting here or we walk into their trap.“

So what I proclaim is: Astrid and Caleb in general know they are dancing the „can-i-trust-you-tango“ but they know they have one common enemy: Trent.

So they were discussing during the dance without saying it, if they want to work together in bringing him down. Caleb wasnt sure if he wants/can work on the „Trent-problem“. He has more importand stuff to do right now and he doesnt want to face all that stuff from the past that will come up during this working against Trent.

He cares for Astrid as he said. He isnt against helping her but maybe not right now.

What made him change his mind was Astrid crying in a spot where nobody would have seen her crying all on her own. He knows her, he know how much is to interpret in her crying. I think she is rarely crying. She has doen the same training as Caleb did, she is used to be cruel and to murder and be a bad human. But she wont cry because of that. She said so herself in their first meeting. Her crying is super special and Caleb gets that. And because he cares so much for her, maybe you can relate when you know a person you care for is crying in the mud. You want to help so they dont cry anymore. That is why he decides he wants to help her,/wants to start working on the problem now and not later. He knows she is using him, but he is using her as well. He doesnt care. He wants to help, to help her, help his country. He made this decision over night and Astrid gave him the time to think about it, but she needed a signal from Caleb. Ans anwer to her question if he wants to do this now or not. She said „I will see what I can do for you“ aka says „i want to work on this now, how about you?“

He sent a red firey bloody signal back. A signal as bright as the fire Warning beacons of Gondor

in „The return of the kings“ when Gondor sent signal to Rohan asking for help. The fun part is nobody gets it beside Matt and that is exactly the kidn of pranks the people on the table like to play. Remember Sam/Scanlan? I do. it was stuff he planned for weeks and nobody was expecting it and it was a big suprise for everyone.)

He could have been stealthy and just get the stuff he wanted during the heist. It would have send the signal to Astrid „thanks for the help, I cant work on this now. Maybe later. See you“.

But Caleb did not do that. He send a signal like: „I am full in, I want to play this game, starting it right now and either we win this game or loose and run into his trap. Lets do it.“

Its amazing how they comunicate without saying a single word about it.

The three different papers you ask? For me its the answer to his „for the love that we three shared I need to ask a favor“. She answeres with the box „Here is what i can do for you and yeah we three are in this together“ the paper are symbols for the three of them. The three people from Blumenthal. Its brialliant.

Why she is thankful in the message: Because he comes back and contacts her. He is her only hope.

Why she is sorry the day after: Because she thinks she is guilty to drag him into this. She knows this will be hard for him and will cause a lot of pain. That is why she says she is sorry.

(Is she for real? We dont know. They are still dancing the „can-i-trust-you-tango“)

They are playing Trents game of saying the truth and show whats obvious. Matt and Liam are playing this game so good they fool the other players and me and other fans. Its brilliant.

To let everyone think its a Trap set up by Astrid? - Its fine because people will focus on her (and its legit because she is shady and in this game as well) while Caleb is the one whom they should be worried about.

Let everyone think he does all the stuff he did here because of the Drama, Trauma and the pain etc – Yes it is exactly that to a percentage and that is the truth he is showing here, but underneath that is the other truth that he just wants to get closer to Trent. Caleb knows how he has to behave to get what he wants. He does it all the time because he learnid it from Trent! (remember the scene he wanted to work Essek as he needed him to work in that moment on the ship, because Caleb wanted the peace talk to happen? Because Caleb didnt want Essek to run away but to stay and get done what he Caleb wants?) He does not like those methods but he has to use them to get what he wants.

This is a brilliant plan from Caleb and Astrid and you know, they worked together before. They know each other so well when it comes to work (and probably more). They were a team for a long time and its like: watching a movie where old action heroes that worked together for a time suddenly have to work again. They just work together like they always did. Its like one comes visit the other one after 10 years of both of them living their lives, and they just look at each other and the person stands up goes to a shelf, gets his old gun out that was hidden there all the time and only asks: how is the weather? And the other says „its clear blue sky“ and they dotn talk anymore and just to their thing like in old times and know exactly what to do. Caleb and Astrid are Assassins in this but you know the dynamic is there.

Another way to put it:

With the dinner invitation trent put up a chess board. And invited Caleb to play. Caleb doesnt answer. Astrid asks him at the door in private: „you said you want to play this game last time you visited me. Do you still want to play? „He says „yes“ and she answers „race you to the top“ wich was clever. It seemed like she wanted to play the game herself, and that is again one half of the  truth here: she wants to play this game, but not on her own because she knows she cannot win this alone. She needs help and playful/tricky invites Caleb to play this together against Trent. Like she would say: „I want to play the game and I would want to know who is more clever/better here, you or me“. This is the dynamic I think they had as teens: always challenge each other who is more clever and gets the solution to a riddle first etc. but always playful never hating and i think that is how they connected in the beginning and fell in love at some point. We will see that maybe in the comic in summer.

During the dance she said: „You have to decide soon if you want to play this chessgame because Trent is a bit distracted anyway right now. Also time is of the essence. You have eyes on your back?“ this mental chessgame wont be a game that will finish soon, or in 2-5 episodes. It might go on for half a year because its a chess game where you have to think a lot and think a lot up in front. With the „i will help you with the necklaces“ she holds out the first pawn to Caleb, and with his rampage he takes it and sets it on the board and the game is on.

And its all covered up in half truth and some scheming but never blunt lies because that would be to easy to find out and could be the end of the game.

So Astrid and Caleb are workign together against Trent while behaving like nothing happend. She does her stuff, he does his.

They will meet sometimes because they both have the working connetction to Trent and who knows how this will end? Trent I think is aware that the game is on and I think he will play (move his figures in the next episode. With the maybe task they have to do for him so he lets them go.)

He set the board on the table in the first place.

Tldr:

Caleb wanted to face Trent. He was aware of what he did, he knew their actions did lead to Trent appearing. He wanted to seem to be the scholar that breaks into his old teachers house to get stuff so he can get closer to Trent again, to gather information from inside the assembly so he can take the system down from inside. Astrid might have gibt him the idea, and maybe there is some planing going on between Astrid and Caleb that we can’t see.

Quick and Dirty Statistical Analysis and Australia’s not doing too badly

Holy cow we might actually be getting somewhere.

Have you been watching those COVID-19 case numbers go up, day by day, and feel like the numbers are so big and there’s just so much going on that you don’t really know how to interpret them? Especially when the media just reports big numbers without meaning? Not sure what the numbers mean from a population standpoint? Not sure how to look for light at the end of the tunnel?

Let me explain to you what we’re seeing.

You know the ‘flatten the curve’ graph?

The one where we take protective and social distancing measures to slow the infection rate, in order to keep the case numbers below the threshold that the healthcare system can cope with. That’s critical for saving lives, but the top and the far side of the graph contains the time where the cases level out, where the virus is not spreading and eventually fades out to zero cases.

That dotted line for ‘Healthcare system capacity’ depends on where you live, whether it’s a capital city in a wealthy country with abundant resources or a rural community in the middle of nowhere, and also will change by the time of the pandemic it occurs in, as supplied and healthy physicians/nurses run out.

The total number of cases will also vary by location, as a larger starting population will result in a larger total number of cases. So to compare numbers of cases in a meaningful way you need to either compare them against the total population - which gives you very small numbers in the beginning and don’t mean much, or compare new cases to previous case numbers to assess how the outbreak is growing.

Here’s a chart I’ve done for Australia and my state, Victoria:

(Want to do your own? Take the daily cases and divide them by the number of cases the day before. Subtract 1, multiply the remainder by 100 and that’s your percentage of new cases)

You can see that the new cases compared to existing cases was growing at anywhere from 10 to 20% per day, which is pretty massive growth when you consider that we think any given COVID-19 case is active and infectious for 14 days, but then we suddenly turned the corner around the 30th of March and the new case rate dropped to 7% or below, and now we’re potentially seeing light at the end of the tunnel with a new case rate of under 5%.

Why is a new case rate of under 5% important? Because if you increase your starting number by 5% each day, it takes just over 14 days to double. It means your average COVID-19 case is only infecting one other person per 14 days, which is the average duration until it’s cured.

That means most cases are just replacing themselves. Not spreading.

If we can keep it below that rate long enough, then we will be in the top part, the flat part, of the curve.

And once you’ve reached the flat part, keep going long enough, and you hopefully reach the tail where the virus cases peter out on the right and life gets to go back to normal.

There are a few potential flaws you should be aware of when looking at this data though.

First is how reliable can you assume the data is. I’m reasonably confident in Australia’s numbers as we’ve done a lot of testing relative to our population, about 1% of us have been tested, which is one of the highest rates in the world. It’s not as much testing as we should want though, but it’s a decent starting point, and I have no reason to disbelieve the numbers so far.

There are definitely cases out there which are undetected. If a country is not testing very much, then of course they wont be reporting numbers for tests they’ve never run. There will be asymptomatic carriers, who do not even know they are sick, which will be a challenge to identify and get tested. There will be those who don’t seek testing - Australia has universal healthcare, but a place like the USA does not. But if our testing rates stay about the same, the ratio of new cases should be a fairly accurate trend, even if the absolute raw numbers are not quite.

National data will look different to state, region or suburb data, and if you can find those numbers it’s worth looking at. Unsurprisingly, more affluent suburbs in Victoria have more COVID-19 cases, likely because this is where a lot of international tourists and cruise ship passengers returned to. My little region on the map below only has 6 cases (up from 3 last week), while the dark one (Stonnington) has 84.

Numbers will jump any time you get a bunch of international travelers return

It takes at least three days from any change in social policy (lockdowns, social distancing, etc) before you see results show up in the data. It can take up to two weeks. That blip in new cases in Victoria on the 31st of March? Three days earlier it was a lovely, warm Saturday and thousands of drongos gathered at the beach, ignoring social distancing rules. Beaches mandated closed by law the next day.

There is way, way more epidemiological data you can look at, including community spread and asymptomatic shedders, but this is just the quick and dirty way to gauge how your region is going.

Remember it will take days or weeks to see a difference. The social distancing rules will remain in place for multiple weeks, multiple cycles of the virus, because we’re trying to reduce spread from the asymptomatic shedders. No economy is going to be ‘up and running by Easter’. 

But we are getting somewhere, even before there is a vaccine or rapid tests.

Prominent democrats will say point blank “Yes we’re coming for your AR-15”, “Coal mining jobs shouldn’t exist”, “The Oil Industry is the problem and needs to be eliminated”, “White people will lose their privilege and this will “feel like oppression””, ect. And right wingers want That but addressed towards their class enemies. Instead they get people who will vote 50 times to plain repeal Obamacare, and then back-out on a watered down repeal the second they actually have the votes. “But people and industries will lose their benefits, and companies will suffer...” says the RINO. Good! Thats what happens when you lose in politics: you get fucked. Thats what happens if you’re a coal miner or oil worker, thats what happened if you lived in Flint or a factory town, thats what happened if you had a small bakery and a profound moral aversion to baking Gay wedding cakes, thats what happened if you wanted certain jobs but were the wrong demographic. You got fucked. And that’s what The Republican base wants to happen to government employees, the elite, “green” companies, the universities, and the financial institutions that plunder the public welfare and lock them out of payment processing. If you asked a good percentage of the republican Base “if you could get the policies you want but DC, New York, Boston, and every university town would look like Flint, Detroit and West Virginia at the end of it” they’d reply “Bonus!” Their “Representatives” would reply “No it wouldn’t be worth it”. . Contrast democrats who will say point blank that the death of coal towns or Oil towns are acceptable loses for their vision, and who’s intellectual elite will salivate and make jokes about it. Hell the republican elites will make jokes about it. . The base wants Conflict theory, and they will vote for crazy over sanity if they can get it. They’ll vote for Ross Perot protectionism to get it. They’ll vote for Ron Paul libertarianism to get it. They’ll vote for Donald Trump Soft-Nationalism and conspiracism to get it. And If Captain Ahab ran under a political banner of “By hate I strike at Thee”... they’d vote for Ahab. . They have perceived (correctly) that they’re being fucked, exploited and their core institutions destroyed, and they want to answer in kind. And until that becomes a standard part of the republican offering the same way conflict theory is a standard part of the Democratic offering, theoretical content wont matter. “Democrats and the elite are our enemies because they’re Child molesters and Satanists” is fundamentally a more correct and less delusional ideological commitment for a conflict theory republican than “Democrats and the elite are our fellow countrymen who want whats best for everyone and we need to compromise and work with them to achieve whats best for the country”. In the exact same way a Conflict theory Democrat who thinks Trump is Literally a Russian asset, and Nazi plotting genocide, who has secret direct calls with Putin and his FSB handlers, is more correct than one who thinks they need to strike grand compromises with Trump to make America great again.

Where’s the angel?

 He definitely wasn't on set. 

I wasn’t going to post anymore about this but as more is conformed the angrier I become. I know its just a tv show, that honestly I haven’t enjoyed in a few years. But it was important to me for a long time and I had hoped that I would be able to go back and watch the show again. I have only watched each episode once, I have the DVDs and was planning to rewatch it all once the show was done, but I don’t think I can look back and enjoy the show now knowing where its going. I also know that the episodes haven’t aired yet, so I shouldn’t jump to conclusions. I honestly didn’t care how it ended. I was ok with characters dying if it felt earned it was in service of something. That was except with Cas he has died 4 times in service of the plot. That is not a fitting end for him, it is a predictable boring rehash of something that has been done again and again and again, its not even original. 

The reason I’m going on about this now, before we have seen the episodes it because what difference dose it make making a statement after the show is done. They aren’t going to care. They will have had the ratings and that's all they care about. Also I know that nothing is going to change by speaking up now. I just feel that its important to make it very clear that a significant percentage of viewers are not happy with what the ending seems to be. That we are not just going to accept any crap they give us. 

If you are not already angry about Misha not being there on the last day of filming, and the last 2 episodes, this might make you. Remember the happy birthday video. Where Jensen had the lovely idea of singing it as dirge. A funeral song. Knowing full well that Cas was very clearly killed in the last episode and that he wont he back to film anymore EVER. Who dose that to a friend. How did he think that was a good idea. On Misha’s birthday, the First birthday in over a decade that he was not on set filming, he thought it was good idea to remind him that a character he spent 12 years playing died, that he would never play him again. That filming was going on without him, that he wasn’t a part of the ending. The is a incredibly cruel thing to do to anyone. Especially someone that is meant to be a friend. I don’t care if he thought Misha would find it funny, that he would laugh about. I’m sure that it still would have really hurt even if he didn’t show it. 

Also Jake then makes a video teasing the fans about Misha not being there, because they asked where his chair was. Of course they asked. He is the 3rd main character, has been in over 100 episodes of course they expected him to be there. 

I am asking all of the Cas fans, destiel shippers. those that have been lead on by the writers and showrunners. who have kept Cas around to keep them watching, but given him nothing and lessened his characters to make the Winchester's look better, to STOP WATCHING.

I know some of you may still want to watch, to finish what you started, finish Cas’s story, to hope it will be good. If you have to watch (Good luck) then please, please don’t watch it live. Don’t add to the ratings. Watch it on catch up or form a pirate site, just do not watch live on the cw. This is the clearest way to be seen.
