idk uhhhh i wrote a series once where two of the main couples break up at the end, but it wasn't really angsty

i don't outline or edit or re-read any of my fanfic. i just type it and then eyeball it for typos and then post it. i COULD outline and such to really make the narrative nice and tight, but i don't find it very fun to do (for fanfic) and this is like, my relaxing wind down hobby. i just wanna have fun haha. the only reason my fics like, make sense, is because i write at least one ending scene first thing and always aim for that, and also i write out of order so i kinda know the route of the story

Sam and Cas are best buds. Besties, if you will. But they're the type to point at random objects (i.e. a broken pencil in the middle of the street) and go, "That's so you." Cas said, "You touch a hair on his head and you die" like he's not the one who purposefully messes up Sam's hair after he's meticulously gelled it just because it makes Dean laugh and Sam squak at him. Sam is the type to put salt in people's coffee. Every once in a while, just when he thinks he'll never have to taste liberally salted coffee ever again, Cas takes a sip from his "Sam's Favorite Assbutt" mug with a giant picture of Sam with his hair in a man-bun on it and absolutely fucking freezes. Sam thinks this is the height of comedy, he's a genius, brilliant. In return, Cas zaps him to Croatia with a note that says "You're hubris is amusing." written on the palm of his hand. Dean thinks this is hilarious. And terrifying. He asks Cas where Sam is one morning, and he says "Greece." with no emotion in his voice. Like it's totally normal. "I thought he'd enjoy the pastitios," Cas says with an evil smile.

Imagine a modern geraskier au where Jaskier and Geralt own a nice little house and a lawn and all that jazz and Jaskier is overly picky about his flowers and his garden and whatnot, so he makes Geralt help him with the yard work instead of hiring someone to do it like "normal celebrities do" (as Yen said with an eye roll) which results in many paparazzi photos of the two of them just. Mowing the fucking lawn. Cutting back the shrubs. Trimming the rose bushes and fertilizing the pumpkins. It's the most bizarre thing to happen to Hollywood since Jake Gyllenhaal said he doesn't shower. One day Jaskier is sick and they have Ciri for the week and he needs to do yard work, it hasn't been done since last week god forbid, and Ciri steps up and is like "Don't worry father dear. I will help with the yard work." which then results in Jaskier posting the most vile, suburban mom photos to all of his socials of Geralt and Ciri doing yard work. Just the most sickening, yet endearing grandma behavior that is possible in a thirty year old man. He's so proud of his darling little girl and his amazing husband, he really is. He starts a livestream and he's just sobbing while watching Horrible Histories and gushing about Geralt and Ciri. Everyone is Fed Up With Him.

Thank you for clicking on my little blog! I started this with the hopes of connecting with other people who share my interest in Lupin the Third and would enjoy reading reviews and articles about the show, just like I do.

I go by the lupin apologist, a title that ties in a little bit more about me. I am a theology major (I am graduating in May 2023!) and I have hopes of going to law school and practicing in the legal field. In theology, apologetics is the field of defending something. Apologetics began with the early Christians in Rome, but we will be doing a different type of apologetics than they did.

When you Google ‘apologist’ or ‘what is an apologist,’ the general answer is that an apologist is something who takes up defending something that is controversial. Davidic apologetics is the field of theology where king David is defended despite his rape of Bathsheba. The legacy of the Davidic line, and in effect Jesus Christ, is defended against David’s deplorable actions. You can be an apologist for anything, like a pineapple-on-pizza apologist or an apologist for the color of piss green. Once you defend anything against people that have the opposite view as you, and the evidence to back it up, you become an apologist! You’re not apologizing for anything (sorry, but pineapple does belong on pizza!) but you’re just defending its very right to exist unbothered and undeterred by critiques.

So, what makes Lupin III so controversial? Why does he need an apologist? Why does the beloved series need an apologist?

They need an apologist because there’s a lot to not love about them. Some aspects of Lupin the Third are a little suspect and worthy of examination. Some of these things may be what turn people away from the franchise and poison the well of content and media. These things should not be excused but examined and understood within the context of their production and their purpose (if there is one) to the story as a whole.

Whether it be the content of our characters or the plot of the stories, there is something that draws us to the outrageous stories and antics of our favorite international crime gang. The Lupin the Third franchise is a living story that can be transposed into all times and all places. The truth is, the Lupin stories could very well be about real people in real time. They can be applied to our lives, which is what I think is a part of the alluring nature of the franchise. We want to know what Lupin and his gang would think of our modern times. We would love to know how they perceive the world as it is changing, and this blog is going to attempt to answer those questions.

Would Lupin and Fujiko online date while seeing each other? How would Zenigata spend his downtime in a world where chasing lupin is only a fragment of his manhood, and he is expected to do something else? How does Goemon hold onto his samurai culture while surviving in a modernized world?

Beyond these trivial musings, the fifty plus year life span of Lupin the Third has spawned some questionable content which has implications on our perception of the real world. We should be talking about the scenes that make us uncomfortable or the character designs that make us raise an eyebrow. Having safe spaces to have safe discussions about potentially unsafe topics is so important, especially in the analysis of Lupin the Third. We have to take it all as it comes, so ignoring the things that make us sore will only contribute to the void between content and consumer.

So, perhaps the apologetics here are not about defending or excusing, but rather about explaining and understanding the potential dark sides and downfalls of human nature.

I started watching Lupin media in spring of 2021, my first being the Castle of Cagliostro. Since then, learning about all the different motifs and aesthetics of different Lupin installments has become a favorite past time and something that has brought light into the darkest moments of my life. The franchise has nursed my wounds of heartbreak and loss and is something that I hope I will always have to rely on, and someday give back to. Engaging in discourse in this community is so special to me, and I hope that his blog encourages others who have the same passion have the courage to take a chance and invest in something outside of themselves.

I am always eager to receive feedback, requests, and submissions! If you have an idea of content you would like to see or something I could do differently or if you'd like to see something of yours on the blog, send it my way. My ask box and submission pages are always open. Posts will be sorted and tagged, so episode and movie reviews will be tagged differently than articles will be. A = Attractive: what do they find attractive about the other?

About you- the mushy answer is your brain.  You're so fucking clever and he adores it.

Physically, he loves your back.  You're so soft and he can just pepper your back for kisses for hours.  

And he loves rubbing circled into the skin of the small of your back.    He loves your rolls and how soft and silky you are.  

He likes your shoulder blades too and how most people might not see them but he gets too and it drives him wild.

B = Baby: do they want a family? why/why not?

He does but he's just worries ya know.  He just doesn't want to pass on the werewolf gene but the thought of a little you running around just warms his heart.   Maybe not a whole herd of children but like one cool baby?  Yeah, that sounds good to him.  

C = Cuddle: how do they cuddle?

Look, just accept the fact that you're going to be the little spoon.  I mean, that's just gonna be the way it is.  Remus seems like the sweet, shy type.  But this mother fucker is dom as hell when it's personal.  He ain't gonna be the little spoon if he doesn't have to so I hope you're good with that.   Also, he loves your back so he's very into it being pressed against his bare chest.

Side note:  If you happen to be shirtless against his bare chest?  Boy is in heaven.

D = Dates: what are dates with them like?

Unexpected.  You never know with him.  From a distance you'd expect his brainy ass to take you to the bookstore or library or idk, something quiet.

Hell no.  His spooky ass ends up taking you to the Forbidden Forest.  At night.  

You later discover it's because he can see in the fucking dark and he's comfortable there.   He intentionally drug you out there just so you'd be scared and cling to him.  You nearly strangled him when you found out.

E = Everything: “you are my ____” (e.g my life, my world…)

You're his drive to keep going.  Real talk.  Remus has a lot going on and sometimes it's too much for him.  He's contemplated ending it all more than once.  You keep him going.  He loves you more than anything.  But more importantly you help him see that HE'S worth it to HIMSELF.

F = Feelings: when did they know they were falling in love?

When you shoved Sirius in the lake for trying to steal a kiss.   And then proceeded to lecture him about it....and made him apologize....to everyone he'd ever did it too.

G = Gentle: are they gentle? If so, how?

In everyday life, Remus is a sweetheart.  Such a nice boy, according to your parents, lol.   He's got a mischevious streak but he doesn't use it on you.   Behind closed doors?  Well, I done told ya.  He's dom for life.

H = Hand/Hold: how do they like to hold? how do they like to hold hands?

Remus is more of an arm around your waist kind of guy.  Ya know, he loves that back.  However, he does enjoy when he wraps his arm around you and you place you place your hand over his.   Makes him feel all the specials.

I = Impression: first impression/s

Well, you met when you were eleven and he honestly didn't think much of you.   It's not your fault though.  He was an eleven year old werewolf going to school for the first time.  Poor kid was damn near having a heart attack.  

However, three weeks later you showed him up in class and little Remus Lupin got his very first crush.  

And then you lent him a piece of parchment and boy damn near floated right off his chair.  

Been making heart eyes at you since.

J = Joker: are they into pulling pranks?

Look, everyone thinks it's all James and Sirius but you know better!  

Remus is the brains most of the time and he's a fucking instigator.  HE fucking starts it.    And you know it.  He claims innocence but he's the damn devil.  

K = Kisses: how do they kiss?

Slowly and mind blowing.    It always takes you a few seconds to open your eyes and get your head together.  Lawd, Jesus.  

L = Love: who says I love you first?

He did.  He didn't meant to.  I mean, he meant it a 1000% but he hadn't meant to say it at that moment.   You caught him off guard with a surprise hot chocolate in the hospital wing and he let it slip.  You tried to save him and acted like you didn't hear it when he panicked.  But then he stopped and was like, "Actually, love.  I do love you.  I meant it.  I mean, I didn't exactly planning on loosing it like that but I do love you.  It's alright if you don-"   "Remus Lupin, you shut your damn mouth.   If you think for one second that I'm not hopelessly in love with you than I have sorely misjudged your intelligence." you snipped. He just grinned. "Stop smirking at me.   Shut your face and drink your hot chocolate before I kick you." "Yes, love." You just rolled your eyes at him.

M = Memory: their favourite moment together

He quite enjoys the semester you were paired with Sirius for potions.   It's relevant because you teased him during potions one day until he lost it and started sucking face halfway through.  Slughorn ripped you two apart and paired you with Sirius for the rest of the semester.  

You glared the whole semester and he thought you were the cutest fucking thing on the planet.

N = Nickel: do they spoil? do they buy the person they love everything?

He does but it's less with money and more with special things that actually mean something.   Hand written excerpts from books he thinks you'll like.   Little flowers he found on one of his walks.   And a sweet or two knicked from the kitchens.

O = Orange: what color reminds them of their other half?

Green tends to remind him of you.  Much in the sense that many people associate it with nature and new life, he associates it with you for the same reason.  Being with you is natural to him and you constantly breathe new beginnings to his life.

P = Pet names: what pet names do they use?

Love, mostly.  But occasionally he'll say sweetheart or darling.  

Q = Quaint: what is their favourite non-modern thing?

Vintage books.  Because of fucking course.

R = Rainy Day: what do they like to do on a rainy day?

Honestly.  He likes to snuggle up with a good cup of tea or cocoa and read.  You'll likely fall asleep and he's very content with the idea of sleeping on his chest while he reads his book.

S = Sad: how do they cheer themselves/each other up.

He cheers himself up by looking at pictures of friends, family and of course, you.   It's a favorite.

He cheers you up by reading your favorite book that just so happens to be a children's book.

T = Talking: what do they love to talk about?

He always shares his recent reads but also he's quite fond of talking about possible pranks.   I told you.  He's the fucking devil.

U = Unencumbered: What helps them relax?

A massage does wonders for this boy.   All that stress knots up in his neck and shoulders but you've got the magic touch.

V = Vaunt: what do they like to show off? What are they proud of?

As much as he hates being a werewolf, he'll admit that it has it's perks.  He can see in the dark. His hearing is especially good.  And though he doesn't do quidditch- Remus is actually a fucking fantastic chaser.   He has no interest in joining the team but he's bomb as fuck at it.   And he does enjoying showing out for you.

W = Wedding: when, how, where do they propose?

I could see Remus proposing in the middle of the night.  You're curled up on his chest and it's pitch black.  You're nearly asleep when he asks.  You shoot up like a bolt of lightning and press your damn so face to his that he can feel your eyelashes on his cheeks.  You demand he say it again.  He does, a bit more nervously.   And he almost died...because you nearly squeezed him to death.  And also nearly ruptured his ear drums.  Of fucking course you said yes.  As if there were any other answer.

X = Xylophone: What’s their song?

"When A Man Loves A Woman" by Percy Sledge Everytime it comes on you can't help but stop whatever you're doing and sing.  It was fourth year and you were the only two people in the common room.  You made him dance with you.   Poor boy could barely keep it together but now it's his favorite.  He can't hear it without thinking of you.

You're the hot to my chocolate.  He's a fucking goober at heart alright.  And he loves his chocolate.

“Nonstop monsters. That’s what  my life had narrowed down to. For the last six weeks, the three of us had been zig zagging across the states involved in some of the weirdest and hardest hunts I  had ever come across. Let’s not talk about how it seemed like the supernatural asshats, seemed to have focused on me for the inevitable, disgusting ends they met.

So far, I had been ectoplasmed, been covered  by shredded okami, then there was that damn clown that had exploded leaving behind glitter-that I was still finding on me and my clothes and let’s not forget the demon who exploded thanks to Crowley’s snap of fingers and his “Sorry, pet, I just couldn’t listen to him prattle on anymore.” After all the supernatural messes, Cas had gotten me chased into a lake by a swarm of pissed off bees, because he thought they would be better off in a “happy” tree, leading up to tonight’s virtual shit show of being chased by a werewolf in the rain which is where we pick up our story fair readers. Hang on it’s about to get messy.”

Wagon Wheel Motel, an hour earlier

“Of course it’s a werewolf, cause who doesn’t want to hunt one in the pouring down rain,” you said with a roll of the eyes, “at night too.”

“Look, princess if it’s too much for you to handle, we’ll take care of it, you can stay here and paint your nails,” Dean mocked, ignoring the way your eyes narrowed at his insinuation.

Sam looked between the two of you, trying to figure out how to defuse the bomb that his stupid brother just lit. “Um, guys, can we focus on the case. You know, dead guys and all that.”

You snarled in Dean’s direction then turned your attention to the only Winchester you would be speaking with in the near future. “Sure, Sammy. What’s the plan?”

Sam smiled gratefully at you, “Right. So I think we should split up, it’ll be easier that way,” and then he mumbled, “plus I won’t have to referee the cage match that’s going to occur.”

“What?!” you barked out. You narrowed your eyes, ‘Okay, so that makes two Winchesters that I’m not speaking to.’ You grabbed your gun and jacket, then headed towards the door. “Are we waiting for a written invitation?” You leveled them both with a glare, “Let’s go gank a werewolf.”

‘I’ll give you a written invitation,’ Dean smirked at you, “After you princess.”

‘Jesus, how do I get myself into these situations?’ You could barely see in front of your face, as the rain came down in sheets, you were completely soaked and you could see each pant of breath as you ran. ‘How the hell do I always end up as bait?’ You slid into a tree as you tried to change direction to quickly, ‘Oh yeah, it’s because I don’t have a penis!’ Ignoring the sting in your palms from the bark biting into your flesh, you pushed off from the tree, running as fast as you could.

Each snap of a twig and the squelching sounds of mud echoed in the wooded area around you, so you weren’t sure who was chasing who anymore. Sliding to a stop because you couldn’t run any further, you saw that you were at a small cluster of trees, hoping it would help hide you for just a few minutes. You bent over, grabbed your knees and tried to inhale as much air as possible, so that you could keep going. Besides your loud breathing and heart beating in a staccato rhythm-’that can’t be healthy,’ you heard the sound of an animal breathing heavily to your left.

You stood up, quietly pulled your gun out, racking the slide back you peeked around the tree to see the wolf on Dean’s trail. You quickly raised your Colt to the air, firing harmlessly to alert Dean. Both hunter and prey turned at the same time, you groaned when the animal leapt towards you. Taking off, you ran back towards the direction you had just come from, you were trying to lose the animal, leaving Dean a clear shot at it.

Of course things couldn’t be that easy though. The wolf was sticking to you like glue, he was right on your heels when you heard the snarl and the snapping of jaws at your back. You could hear the terror in Dean’s voice as he yelled for you to run faster. Your legs were starting to shake from exhaustion, running in mud and darkness not the easiest thing when suddenly Sam was three feet in front of you.

“DOWN!” he yelled, pointing his gun directly at you.

You threw yourself to the ground, sliding head first towards Sam as a shot rang out and the sound of a body hitting the mud echoed with a loud splat. You rolled over onto your back and smiled up at Sam. “My hero!” He chuckled and reached a hand down for you to grab. He pulled you up from the mud, as Dean made it to where you both were.

“Y/N! Sweetheart are you okay? That son of a bitch was fast!” Dean huffed out.

You nodded shakily at him. “Yup, I’m great. I’m also starving, let’s go get something to eat!”

“Seriously?”  Sam looked at you incredulously. “You can go from imminent death, to feed me Seymour in the span of seconds.”

“Did you just meet me or something Sammy?” you snickered.

Sam shook his head eyes filled with laughter at you, “You and Dean are a perfect match, Y/N.”

Dean chuckled, “Let’s get you cleaned up first, sweetheart,” he motioned his hand at the mud covering you from head to toe.

You squinted your eyes and clenched your hands into fists, “I have no clothes here, Dean, they're all back at the motel. You’ve seen me naked, but I don’t need to be giving free shows to your brother. Let’s just go now!”

“B-but….” he stammered, “Baby...mud in my car.”

Sam closed his eyes and prayed for strength. He opened them just in time to grab the back of your jacket as you leapt toward Dean and pulled you behind him. Glaring at Dean, “Dude, abort. Seriously,  let this one go.”

Dean nodded as he heard the growls coming from you. “Fine, fine, fine. Let’s eat.”

As you walked into the little diner, you ignored all the stares that were directed at your appearance, you smiled at the waitress as she she showed you guys to a table. Sam looked out the big window and shook his head at Dean, who was currently shaking his head in disbelief as he looked at the mud covered backseat.

“What can I get you folks?” the waitress asked, “Honey, I don’t know if you realize it, but you do know that you’re covered in mud right?”

You giggled, looking at her name tag, “Yeah. I’m aware Norma, thank you though. Can I please get bacon cheeseburger and  the largest fries you have with a Pepsi?”

The waitress got Sam’s order and walked off shaking her head, glad she wasn’t going to have to be the one to clean the chair you currently occupied. You looked out towards the parking lot at Dean, who was still just standing there looking lost. “He’s really going to pout about this one for awhile, isn’t he?”

Sam laughed, “Yeah, that’s pretty much a given. We’re going to have to coddle him for a bit after this.”

You rolled your eyes, “I’ll make him a pie when we get back to the bunker.” You sat up straighter when you saw Norma carrying your food, wondering if you started drooling if anyone would notice.

She smiled at you and sat the plate down in front of you, just as Dean made his way in and over to your table. He sat across from you, reaching towards your plate, he snatched a french fry and popped it in his mouth.

You tilted your head and bit back a nasty response and started drumming your fingers on the wooden table. Sam watched in silence, unbelieving how obtuse his brother was. Every time he snatched a fry, you got this murderous glint in your eye, and Sam could see you plotting Dean’s death with each tap of your nails.

Figuring he would stop once he ordered and received his food, you bit your tongue each time he grabbed a fry. When Sam asked him why he didn’t order his own fries, you gripped the fork in your hand tighter when he replied back, that he didn’t need to since you had already ordered plenty for the both of you. Dean started to reach towards your plate again, when you suddenly slammed the tines of the fork down into the table in front of your plate. Dean froze and looked at you, suddenly realizing how pissed you were.

“Sweet-” he started to say.

“Dean,” you replied through gritted teeth, “I’d die for you, kill for you, and if you take another one of my fries, I’ll just plain kill you.”

Sam pushed back from the table, not wanting to be close to the violence that he was sure was about to happen and he hoped that his brother would not open his mouth and make the situation worse like he knew Dean was able to.

Dean looked slowly from the fork that was stuck in the table, up to your eyes and gulped, he made sure that you could see his hand as he slowly moved his hand back to his own side of the table.

You smiled sweetly, “Pass the salt, please.”
