There was this one time I was on my period. I felt like shit and I was cramping like really bad.

I was in the car with my dad, step mom, and sister. My step mom keep asking me what was wrong, over and over.

I’m fine. I’m fine. I’m fine. She would not let it go. She has a problem of being a massive bitch. Incurable unfortunately.

So after a few minutes of this, I was like fine whatever, I’m on my period.

Horrified silence. And I remember her saying, “Don’t be vulgar.” Or something to that effect.

its just someone's body doing A Natural Thing that they can't really control

It's just someone's body being all like"we should get ready for a baby !!" and the person not being able communicate with their body "hey, Im not actually gonna have a baby!"

I'm not saying periods are normal in a way "people who have periods need to stop being dramatic, it's not that bad!", I'm saying it's not gross !

when merlin asks arthur for things, the king is usually inclined to give him what he wants but it is not always guaranteed such as when his emotions cloud his judgement. but merlin’s surefire way of getting arthur to give in? he steps into his space, lays a gentle hand on his arm, and says “arthur, please” and he folds like a house of cards.

Something i see missing from birth control discussion is that it is used for treatments beyond pregnancy prevention. Like i am not in a relationship with pregnancy risk. But I'm on hormonal IUD because my body was growing little meat pearls of period tissue in my abdomen, and i had to get emergency surgery because one of them was twisting my ovary and putting me in excruciating pain. Now i don't have periods so my body can't do that. If i didn't have the birth control, my body would get straight to work on the meat pearls again.
