Wordgirl Community Canvas!

Hello everyone! This is a blog dedicated to running Wordgirl themed magma canvases every Friday! Everyone who follows the rules are very welcome, come join us anytime!

RULES

ABSOLUTELY no hate speech (homophobia, transphobia, racism, etc.). You will be immediately blocked and banned from the canvas.

No inappropriate content. This includes NSFW, proships, extremely suggestive content, fetish art, or anything of the like. The Wordgirl fandom mostly consists of minors, and I intend to keep this a safe space.

Be polite. Whether in the canvas or in chat, treat everybody kindly and respectfully. Don't make jokes you're unsure if it will hurt somebody.

Respect everybody's space. Draw small! If you feel like you're taking up too much space, shrink your art. Do not draw over other people's art unless they say otherwise.

Write your user below the name list. This makes it easier to keep track who had visited the page, especially if they don't have an account.

Stay relatively on topic. While I won't inforce this strongly, this event is for you to draw Wordgirl characters, aus, or OCs together!

Have fun! These rules aren't meant to be strict, just to set parameters to make sure we are creating a safe space. If you are unsure of any rules or things you're able to do, DM or ask anytime!

I have a new creation that i must share with you all... Introducing SNAIL TAPE

This is originally based on a 90s magazine pattern I found, which I just had to try.

However, the pattern wasn't quite right; it turns out that scotch tape dispensers used to be quite a bit slimmer! So i tested a few changes, and below is an up to date pattern. With added antenna of course!

(This fits standard scotch tape dispensers fairly snuggly, so if you want a bit more room add some width to C.)

If you make one please attach a picture, so we can see the snail army grow...

Hello everybody! Thank you all so much for the recent support of the Wordgirl Magma, I'm happy we're all having a wonderful time drawing together. Anyway, I'm making this post to clarify a little bit about the event!

The Magma is held every Friday, and the link is opened up to public at 12 pm EST. You are welcome to draw as long as you like! The full canvas piece(s) will be shared the next day at the same time. I have shared the rules of the event on this blog, and is pinned to the top. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask or DM me! I'll respond as soon as possible.

Also, with Artfight coming up this July, I do plan to postpone the magmas during then to allow time for artists to focus on it without having to worry about missing out. And speaking of, while Artfight is going on, I may shout out artists in the community for you to attack! I want to encourage drawing for eachother, even if the characters themselves aren't Wordgirl centric. So, if you're joining Artfight this year, send me a link to your page!
