on a roll today with a bunch of posts of me talking abt a bunch of diff details about this show today and i remmebered i need to look at the different directions the characters are facing on their door icons. pomni and kinger and queenie faceg directly forwards. jax ragatha and zooble all face their right while looking to their left. gangle is facing her left. kaufmo directly faced his right. this means nothing but it means something in my heart

I also want to make a post appreciating the culling in Umbar. It's an extremely big, extremely ambitious city, and although it is kinda laggy, it functions really well. While playing normally I've had moments where I would whip my camera around fast enough to just barely see something load in, so I knew they were doing a lot of culling to make it work, but it wasn't until I saw the city from above that I realized just how extensive it is and how well the illusion works. I wish I had taken some screenshots to show just how much of the city is not loaded in at any given time to demonstrate it. But it's overall really effective use of the tool to build the illusion of a really big city.

To be honest I do think I'm better than other people not BECAUSE I suffered but because I learned from it. And maybe that makes me very callous but there is something I just can't stand about people who do absolutely nothing but cry and cry and cry about how the whole world hates them so they should never have to do any work to be better to other people or fix their own lives. I did more than my fair share of despairing and I still do it often but I have never tried to cash my Trauma in to get out of the consequences of my actions or make my shit other people's faults. Like maybe I suck but at least when people tell me to get it the fuck together I put whatever energy I can scrape up into doing it. Instead of doing this clingy crybaby shit. At a certain point you just have to realize that no one can save you and you have to do the work or the work won't get done. And you are not owed infinite love and patience as mean as that might sound your prophecy is going to self fulfill if all of your conversations are about how everybody must hate you all they will know about you is that no matter what they say or do you're never going to believe them anyway. Like beyond the fear of being annoying or whatever you are wasting your fucking time pleading for forgiveness for things NOBODY ELSE THINKS YOU NEED TO APOLOGIZE FOR. You're not EVER going to fix the problem by asking for the same comforts you will not absorb over and over and over again you have to stop framing every interaction you have as something negative for you and for everyone else because after a while of desperately trying to convince everyone that you suck theyre gonna believe you solely because you are not offering any fucking thing else!!!!!!!!! Im sorry to say it but if you want it to stop the only thing you can do is stop entertaining it at all. I DONT KNOWWWWWW

Thinking about people I used to hang out with who would immediately get negative whenever lesbians having kids was brought up. This was a largely queer group and the people in question were like "lesbians shouldn't have to have kids and writing a lesbian couple having kids makes them heteronormative and shows that they're 'normal' to straight people" and I just think that attitude is super fucked. Like can we acknowledge that women and lesbians can absolutely be childfree and shouldn't have shame about not having kids without looking at lesbians who want families with distaste, especially in a world where lesbians are being removed from their children's birth certificates?

Like myself and my girlfriend have been talking about our future and the possibility of having kids one day and it's so weird to know there's queer people out there who see that as us trying to appeal to the straights or something.

god its 2023 can people please stop being fucking weird about interracial relationships. so much of it is like either fetishization of ppl in them or its like,,,, dude it sounds like good old racism just it seems ppl have found more socially acceptable and progressive ways to say it. ppl will rly see intraracial relationships which rly seem just like nice, loving, caring and respectful! and not weird and just two ppl vibing and start saying wack shit like ohh youre diluting the blood youre betraying your own kind youre this and that like......... ... i dont care to me yall sound so much like were living in the fucking 50s - 70s and youre not saying it as a joke but seriously. weve gone fucking backwards in time and should probably remember having "pure blooded" kids or being "pure blooded" isnt something to be praised and as long as its consensual and loving having mixed kids or being in whatever relationship is just fine and if anything 💀 we should probably remember that genuine love between ppl who werent "allowed" to do so has historically in many different places been a sign of ppl actually not being racist and believing in the bullshit of the times
