With groans and grumbles, Kate finally manages to drag Y/N from her car to the front door of her house. “You should be glad I know you so well.” Kate mumbles, holding her arms tightly around Y/N’s waist so she wouldn’t fall.
She decided to be the designated driver, even though her girlfriend really wanted them to drink together at Gwen’s parents are gone house party, but Kate knows Y/N has a tendency to over drink and she’d be unable to walk home.
Y/N giggles, “I’m so lucky to have you.” She slings her arms up to wrap the around Kate’s neck, almost slapping her in the process due to her poor coordination. “You’re the bestest best girlfriend.” She has a dopy smile on her face.
The annoyance leaves Kate’s body quickly. She can only be happy when her girlfriend is looking at her like that, like a cute puppy who is full of love. “You’re the bestest girlfriend.” She argues back playfully, her hand rubbing Y/N’s back gently.
“Nuh uh.” She shakes her head. Her lower lip is between her teeth as she stares at the beauty in front of her. “I wish I could sleep next to you.” She whispers.
“I know.” Kate moves one of her hands up to Y/N’s head, her fingers tangling with her hair. “Me too, but we’ll hang out tomorrow.”
“Ye-“ she gets interrupted by a yawn. It makes Kate laugh.
“Will you be able to make it to your bed on your own?”
“I will, don’t you worry.”
She shakes her head at the grin on Y/N’s lips. Kate pulls her into a sweet kiss, holding her steady so she wouldn’t stumble too much during it. Y/N’s fingers play with Kate’s hair while they spend a good few minutes on the porch, kissing each other.
When they finally pull away, Y/N tightens her hold around Kate’s neck and leans her cheek to her shoulder, craving to be as close to her as possible. Even though Kate should be leaving soon so Wanda and Natasha don’t catch them out on their porch together, she tightens her hold as well, just as desperate to feel the warmth on her body.
“Your mums might wake up.” Kate’s voice is quieter due to being pressed against the top of Y/N’s head. “They aren’t supposed to see us.”
“I know.” Her voice is whiny, she really doesn’t want to leave this moment.
Chuckling, Kate pulls away slowly, giving Y/N one more kiss before opening the door with her keys. “I’ll see you tomorrow.” She hands the keys to Y/N, who is pouting by the door. “I love you.”
“I love you too.” Y/N’s is much lower now that the door open. She knows her moms wake up to the smallest of sounds. “Sleep well.”
“Good night, babe.” Kate walks back to her car, and the door closes.
Natasha stares at her phone screen, where the Ring doorbell camera feed is still going, while Wanda is looking at her wife’s face. “She’s dating Kate.” She states.
“She’s dating Kate.”
The two stay quiet as they sit on their couch, empty breakfast plates on the small table in front of them. One full plate is waiting on the kitchen table, it’s for Y/N once she finally wakes up.
“She was out drinking.” Natasha mumbles, closing her phone and putting it away. She rubs her face with a sigh. Her daughter isn’t supposed to be out drinking with her girlfriend yet.
“She isn’t too far from being able to drink legally.” Wanda has a pointed look, letting Natasha know she heard her thoughts. “I’m not liking the drinking part, but I guess she’s old enough to date?” The sentence comes out as a question. Truth to be told, she’s thinking the exact same thing Natasha is. In her mind, Y/N is still their little girl.
Natasha turns to look at her, by the look of her face, it’s clear she doesn’t believe Wanda. “It’s one thing to be dating and another to be hiding it from us. How long have they been together anyway?”
“Long enough to say I love you.”
“That doesn’t narrow it down at all.”
Shrugging, Wanda leans her back fully to the couch. She’s biting the inside of her cheek. It’s not that she has never wondered about Y/N dating someone, but now that the scenario is actually reality, she doesn’t know how to handle it. Especially since Y/N has been clearly hiding the relationship from them.
“I mean, we need to talk to her,” she runs her hand through her hair, “and Kate too.”
“Oh yeah. I want to know what her intentions are.” Natasha huffs before turning towards the stairs, hearing a door open and close.
Slow steps start coming towards the living room. When Y/N steps into the living room, she tries to clear up her face from the fatigue and hangover she’s feeling, which obviously doesn’t go unnoticed by the two. “Morning.” She mumbles with a small smile.
“Good morning.” Wanda and Natasha’s gaze follow Y/N as she picks up her plate and goes to sit at the dining table. “Could you come eat in the living room.”
With a frown, Y/N puts the chair back in it place and plops down to a loveseat next to the couch. “What’s up?” She starts nibbling her food, her appetite not entirely there because of last night’s activities.
“We,” Natasha glances at Wanda, “saw something interesting today.” Y/N hums, not getting where she is going with this. “This something was recorded by the Ring camera, on our front door.”
It takes a while, but after a moment, Y/N’s eyes widen and her whole face turns warm. She was too drunk to remember the camera on their doorbell yesterday, but now, everything that happened on that porch is rushing back to her memories. “Right.” She sets her plate to the table, clearing her throat. Her eyes avoid the burning haze of her mothers’.
“Would you like to tell us anything?”
“Hm, I-“ she opens and closes her mouth. The right words for this kind of situation aren’t coming to her mind. “Me and Kate are dating?” Her voice is high pitched as she kets out an uncomfortable laugh at the end of her sentence.
”How long?”
“Like,” she plays with her fingers, “nine months.”
“Nine?” Natasha’s brows fly up her forehead. “You two have been dating for almost a year and you haven’t told us.”
“Why did you keep it a secret?” Wanda asks.
“We haven’t even got a chance to talk to Kate about this!”
“This is something we’re supposed to know as your parents.”
“Hiding things in th-“
“This is why I didn’t tell you!” Y/N interrupts her moms’ ramblings. “Because you’re so protective and you’d scare her away.” She slumps her body on the seat, crossing her arms over her chest as she glares at the wall near her, too nervous to look at her parents.
Wanda and Natasha turn to look at each other, as if they have no clue what their daughter is talking about. “We don’t scare people away.” Natasha scoffs.
“Yes you do! You interrogated my first crush so much she stopped talking to me completely.”
“We thought she changed schools.”
“Because you two would’ve probably killed her if you knew what actually happened.” She rolls her eyes. Her moms don’t dare to argue against that, both knowing that’s most likely true. “I just-“ she sighs, “I love, Kate. I don’t want her to leave because you two scare her away.”
Tilting her head, Wanda leans her body closer to grab Y/N’s hand. “Okay, we know we can be a bit overprotective sometimes,” Y/N gives her a look, “fine, most of the times, but you are still our little girl and we want to keep you safe.”
“Which means we need to meet Kate.”
“Fine, but you can’t interrogate her.” She stares at Natasha with a pointed look, challenging her mother, and Natasha never backs down from a challenge.
“We need to know what her intentions are.”
“If you do, you three can’t be alone, I’ll be there with you when you ask these questions.”
“Okay, we get to ask any questions we want.”
“You can ask two questions and then we’re going to my room.”
“Eight.”
Wanda rolls her eyes at the back and forth argument, but lets them settle it on their own.
“Five, and the questions go through me first.”
With a slight grin, Natasha nods, she’s oddly proud of her daughter’s ability to negotiate. “Alright, but the door needs to be open then centimeters and you can’t be here alone, one of us has to be home.”
Y/N groans at the rules, but accepts them, she knows those rules are nonnegotiable. “Fine,” she mumbles, “if she runs away after this I’ll be mad at you forever.” She says while standing up, ready to go back to her room to ask Kate over.
“If she runs away she isn’t right for you!” Wanda calls out after her.
“Blahblahblah.” She mumbles too quietly for the two women to hear before closing the door after here. There is a slight smile on her face either way, she’s kind of glad the most important people in her life can finally meet each other.

Hello!
How about Wanda x Reader, where yn has golden retriever energy.
Wanda and Vision broke up a few months ago, he cheated on her and she was like not believe in love anymore, until she met yn thanks to Yelena, yn is kate's older sister, and has the same energy or more than her.
The Bishop girl
Tumblr media
Y/N: 26 years old ——————————————————
NO ONE'S POV "Y/N Bishop, why in the world do you have just one fork? Now I know where Kate gets that from" Yelena sighs, shaking her head while carrying a pot full of mac and cheese she made.
"I'm just one person, Yelena. Besides, you kinda invited yourself over, I wasn't expecting you at all today" Y/N tells her back. The girl was just enjoying her coffee when her sister and Yelena suddenly bursted through the door of her apartment.
"Once you hear why Kate and I came, you'll be glad we did" Yelena says, sitting down at the table and opening her mouth to say more. "We-"
"You'll be so happy! I can't wait to tell you!" Kate squeals, cutting Yelena off and actually making her older sister curious.
"Can you guys just tell me what's going on already?" Y/N asks them impatiently, her leg bouncing up and down from how curious she is right now.
"The three of us are going to Tony Stark's party tonight!" Kate squeals.
"Oh my god! Really?!" This time is Y/N the one to squeal, her eyes shining.
The sisters, Y/N and Kate, have had this dream to become ones of the Avengers ever since they saw Clint and Natasha fighting for New York. Kate's role model has always been Clint and that's actually why she got into her Archery thing while Y/N's has been Natasha, so she got more into fighting. And now the younger sister is actually about to become an Avenger which is the coolest thing ever for the older sister.
"I need to get ready!" Y/N rushes to her room, immidiately opening her closet and throwing her best suits and dresses on her bed.
"We'll pick you up later!" Yelena calls from the kitchen, so Y/N calls 'okay' back and get back into choosing what to wear.
After trying on everything the girl decides for her favorite black suit as she doesn't feel like wearing dress tonight. But of course she needs to do her make-up and hair first, so that's what she does before actually dressing up. She does wear heels to her suit though and then just sits on the couch and waits until Yelena and Kate pick her up.
———
The three arrive to the party… finally, and Yelena with Kate immediately drag Y/N to where the Avengers are standing and talking.
"Guys! This is my older sister Y/N" Kate blurts out immediately on which everyone stops talking and looks at the older sister, making her nervous.
"Nice to meet you, Y/N. I'm Steve. Kate has told us a lot about you" Steve breaks the akward silence, giving Y/N a smile and stretching his hand for a handshake.
"Nice to meet you too!" The girl smiles back, shaking his hand. Y/N repeats this with most of them and they immediately include her in their conversation which finally makes the girl relax.
Her eyes land on the only present Avenger she hasn't met yet though… Wanda Maximoff. She's sitting at the bar alone, sipping her drink and she definitely looks like she needs some cheering up.
"I'll be right back, I'll just go for a drink real quick" Y/N tells her sister, earning a nod, so she heads to the bar. A simple "Hey" Is how she greets Wanda, giving her a smile as an attempt to start a conversation.
"Hi… Sorry, I'm not really in the mood for a conversation" Wanda sighs, making Y/N furrow her brows.
"Yeah. I've noticed. That's why I came here… for a drink and to cheer you up" Y/N gives the witch another smile before telling the guy behind the bar her order.
"Sorry, who are you?" Wanda asks, scanning the unknown girl with her eyes which makes Y/N shift uncomfortably a little bit.
"I'm Y/N Bishop, Kate's older sister" She introduces herself.
"Right, she speaks about you a lot. I'm Wanda" Wanda says, finally giving Y/N a small smile.
Of course Y/N knows why is Wanda sad… what happened between the famous pair… that Vision cheated on Wanda a few months ago and they broke up. Kate's been telling her older sister everything that's been happening on the compound.
That's the reason behind Wanda's not so cheerful behavior. Y/N isn't even surprised when Wanda's ex-boyfriend is currently on the dance floor with a few ladies.
"Well, it's nice to meet you, Wanda… Hey, don't you think it's too loud here? Don't you maybe wanna go for a walk or something?" Y/N asks the Avenger to try to get her away from here, so she'd stop staring at her ex-boyfriend. It might be too fast, but it's worth a try, right?
"… Okay" Wanda sighs and stands up, starting to walk away, so Y/N is quick to follow behind.
The pair ends up on a balcony with the most beautiful view on the entire city which leaves Y/N breathless. She walks closer to the edge, her mouth opened at the sight.
"Wow"
"I know, right? I always come here when I need a moment alone" Wanda confused, a smile visible on her lips.
"I like your smile, you should smile more" Y/N says on which Wanda's cheeks turn a bit red.
Wanda shakes her head, trying to get rid off the nice feeling she's currently having. Ever since Vision cheated on her, Wanda just decided that she'd never fall in love again. She truly loved him and he betrayed her.
Vision was supposed to be her soulmate, the person she'll grow old with, but he just had to do this to her. Thanks to that, the witch slowly stopped believing in love, thinking that maybe she's just destined to stay alone after what happened to her parents, then her twin brother and now to her relationship with Vision.
"You're shivering… Here, take this" Y/N smiles warmly, taking off her suit and putting it over Wanda's shoulders.
"Thank you" Wanda smiles, a blush spreading across her cheeks as she locks eyes with the Bishop girl.
The nice feeling appears again, making Wanda wonder if love really doesn't exist. Maybe it's not how she thought? Maybe it was supposed to happen like this and someone else… maybe even the girl in front of her… is the one she's supposed to spend her life with…
----------------------
I'm still confused about what golden retriever energy actually is, but I hope I'm at least close😅

Title: The Oversight [Part 4/7]
Ship: Female!Reader x Natasha Romanoff
Wordcount: 4325
Warnings: Gun imagery, heights, unecessary tension, horrible grammar, and funnel cake
[A/n: Heads up, I wrote this while I had the flu & a pretty bad fever, so it's not my greatest work. Thank you all for the postive feedback!]

“Hit me.” Natasha’s words were growled, a low rumble compared to the warm spring breeze that produced nothing but a balmy environment. Sweat glossed her collarbone, moved against expanses of skin that you had let yourself imagine, but had never seen. She was a distraction, despite being your instructor.
Her wrapped fist made contact with your jaw, a metallic taste coating your tongue. You let out a grunt of protest, fingers quickly working against the area to ease the throbbing pain. “That wasn’t fair,”
“You think they’re going to play fair? Focus up. Hit me.”
There was something about being this close to Natasha that formed a pit in your stomach. You were meant to have skin on skin contact, though most of your mornings for the past two weeks had been spent at the gun range, she had deemed you ready enough to learn how to fight. It was an art, you figured, not just something you could blindly go into.
For the first fifteen minutes of your day, you had watched Natasha and Kate spar. Yelena was standing next to you, a borderline predatory gaze on her face. You’d realized that it was one of the only emotions she harbored, and that Clint was rightful in his fear. Still, her attention was not focused on you, and that was good enough for the time being.
Instead, it was homed in on Kate. “I have been teaching her for nearly a year now.”
“She’s good.”
“You do not have to lie, y/n. She’s sloppy, reckless. Look how calculated Natalia is.”
Those emerald eyes were tracking every move the taller girl made. She’d initiated contact with Kate’s ribs, with her knees, and her shoulders. She’d fallen to the grass more times than you could count, but she still got up. That’s what seemed to count around here. Even as green a brown stained her workout gear, and as purple blotches of dead blood rose to the surface of her skin.
“It pays to learn fighting styles. That is something the Danver’s family does not understand. They hire whoever they can. Bodies over skill, it can work in some situations, but not all.”
“When did this… war start?”
“Mm, the power struggle has been raging for decades. Our parents, and their parents, and their parents before them. Both of us were trained to take over the family business. Men, they fight with their hearts and not their heads. When Carol and Natalia took up the mantel, things only got worse.”
You felt silly, growing up on these city blocks, and not realizing that a fight bigger than yourself was raging just within the shadows. You supposed that was a good thing. If you knew, you’d have taken Ronnie out of here in a second.
Kate hit the ground for a fourth time, the air knocked out of her lungs. She still had enough left to groan and prop herself up on her elbows. Natasha chuckled, the sound bubbling past her lips. This was much too fun for her.
“She is fragile.” Yelena nudged you with her arm. You frowned. Kate accepted the outstretched hand and allowed herself to be pulled to her feet. She looked dazed. “Do not tell her I said so, but she was looking for a project. You have to give it your all. For both of your sakes.”
You drew in a breath to respond, but Yelena clapped a hand on your back before taking a step toward the dueling duo. “Alright Nat! I think you’ve tortured Kate Bishop enough. Do not break her.”
Kate was bouncing back and forth on the balls of her feet, her fists raised in a defensive position. Her lip was split, rusty crimson against the corner of her mouth. “I can do this all day.”
“You do not have to.” Yelena’s nose scrunched up “You stink. Go take a shower.”
The blonde shoved Kate playfully towards the house, trailing behind her and murmuring things in Russian. She’d left you alone with Natasha, something you had become quite accustomed to. In your workout gear, you felt more than a little exposed, her stare raking up and down your form before her cheeks turned a deeper shade of pink than they already were.
The two of you had sat on the lawn chairs as she wrapped your knuckles, had you punch the palm of her hand to see how much blowback it would cause. You were holding back, and you both knew it. Her last command had been non-negotiable.
When you swung your right hand towards her jaw, Natasha wrapped her fingers around your wrist. She had flipped you onto the ground with enough force to knock the air from your lungs. You’d flailed in panic instead of going limp like Kate had.
You’d dragged Natasha down on top of you. Her body weight was warm from the beating sun, her elbows on either side of your head. Natasha’s knee was between yours, pressing into your core. You let out a small gasp at the sensation, pulling in her musky scent of sweat and clove.
Stray strands of russet hair framed Natasha’s face as she peered down at you, her chest heaving, each breath pushing her closer to you. Her nose was brushed against yours. The two of you were impossibly close, soul-crushingly so. You were certain that she could feel your heartbeat through your shirt.
She made a quite noise “Pet, if you wanted to get me on top of you, all you had to do was ask.”
Your gaze had given you away, and Natasha suddenly had a shit-eating grin against her lips. You hooked your legs against hers an arm wrapping around her waist. In a smooth move, you had her flipped against the grass, eyes reflecting the blue of the cloudless sky. She nearly seemed impressed, and you preened at the stare.
That was before her knee came up and knocked the wind out of you for the second time. You grunted, rolling off her. The two of you stared up at the sky for a few moments before she hoisted herself up and offered you a hand. You batted it away out of habit, rising on your own.
“When you fall, you fall with grace.” Natasha said, her voice stoney, right back to her serious self. “That way you don’t end up like we just were.”
“And if they ask?” you lifted an eyebrow at her, a hint of malice in her voice. She took a step closer to you, and that ever-intoxicating scent filled your lungs once more. Your ribs still ached from her kick, fingers massaging the sore spot. However, all of your movement halted.
Her voice was murmured and rusty. “I don’t want anyone else on top of you.”
“Okay,” You whispered, throat suddenly tight. “Then show me how.”
Veronica had the excited reflection of light in her eyes. They scanned the traveling fair that had been set up in the park bordering the harbor and a square city block. Each year, tents with local vendors would go up, rides and carnival games in their stead.
The scent of kettle corn filled your lungs, a mix of sweet and salty that reminded you of your own childhood spent here. It was the one constant that every foster family took part in. Sometimes you’d be given a stack of tickets, others, you’d get enough for a large cup of the best lemonade you had ever tasted.
Her hand tightened around yours, squeezing in excitement. Despite your current situation, you couldn’t help but smile. The soft sound of music and the light breeze was enough to make your forget about your aching muscles, and the light sweater that you had thrown on to hide the bruising against your shoulders, your arms, and collarbone. Natasha had really done a number on you.
“Jimmy is a nice guy, he really is, but the whole magic thing is driving me nuts.” Darcy used her forefingers to pinch off a bit of blue cotton candy, shoving it into her mouth. She talked around the melting sugar. “Seriously, he spilled my coffee all over my lap attempting a card trick and then attempted to mop it up with a never-ending handkerchief.”
You snickered at that, earning a look cut from glass. “What? I’m sorry about your drycleaning, but it is kind of funny.”
“Yeah, whatever. I just have to grow a backbone. He doesn’t try to pull that shit with Monica. No one tries to pull that shit with her.” She knelt in front of Ronnie, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. “You’re not going to tolerate stupid magic tricks, are you?”
She was met with a silent, but amused stare, her eyebrow lifted. You’d been leveled with that look more than once yourself. It dissolved you into more laughter. “Alright, alright. No magic for the kid. Does the Ferris Wheel count as magic?”
“Well sure, but only at the worlds fair.”
You rolled your eyes but effectively tugged them both into the line. It had always been one of your favorites. It gave you a good look at the city you called home. Of course, your view of that city had been stunted lately. It never truly changed the beauty of the lights and the way they reflected off the water.
Your shoulder came in contact with chilled leather, your attention having been trained on fishing through your pockets for the small red tickets. Your eyes shot up, ready to rush out an apology until the words stopped in your throat.
Seeing Natasha outside of her manor was jarring. She looked nearly the same, a tight-fitting black T-shirt and a leather jacket draped over her shoulders. Her hair was loose, unlike it was at training earlier in the day, cascading down her shoulders. Her make-up was light, her unripe stare pouring into yours. That bewilderment melted into her cool exterior as if it were never there in the first place.
“Natasha,” the word poured from your lips before you could stop it, and the corner of her mouth quirked up in amusement. “Sorry, I wasn’t paying attention.”
“I can take a hit” She stated matter-of-factly. You were well aware of the fact, and you had to stifle a shiver as it worked its way down your spine. Hours before she had been nestled so perfectly on top of you.
Your cheeks heated up and you glanced sparingly at your friend, her own eyes going back and forth between the both of you. It was then that you noticed Clint, towering over Natasha with his arms crossed over his chest. He gave you a finger wave, and you lifted your chin in return.
“I’m Darcy, you are?” She was beyond forward, and it made you internally cringe. She reached her hand out to the very woman that ran the city. It was like sticking your hand in the lions enclosure covered in steak sauce.
“Natasha,” her words dripped with a subtle hint of her accent “This is Clint.”
“Howdy,” he knelt then, Veronica was clinging tightly to your leg, peeking around tentatively. She hugged you closer as he spoke. “You must be Veronica.”
The woman in front of you softened as you had never seen before. Her eyes grew brighter, though you could pin that on the circulating lights of the Ferris Wheel. There was a genuine smile on her lips as she looked at the girl who hugged you ever close.
“She doesn’t talk much, I’m afraid.” Your hand moved comfortingly to her shoulder. Ronnie seemed comfortable, if not excited about the rides that were teeming around them.
Nat smiled at you “Oh, I’m sure she’ll speak when she has something to say.”
Ronnie’s death-grip on your leg seemed to loosen a bit as Clint straightened up. Darcy continued to scrutinize you and Natasha, something mischievous in her stare that you didn’t exactly care for. She rocked back and forth on her feet and directed her attention to Clint.
“How good are you at skeeball?”
“An absolute beast.” Clint replied.
“What do you say to a challenge? I bet I can kick your ass with the power of science. Winner springs for funnel cake.”
You picked up on the subtle look Clint gave Natasha and the even more subtle wave that she responded with. She blew an amused breath. Darcy stretched her hand towards Ronnie and wiggled her finger. “Kid, you staying or going?”
This time, Ronnie looked up at you for confirmation and you gave her a small, encouraging nod. She dislodged herself and wrapped her hand around Darcy’s. The promise of flaky and sweet funnel cake topped with powdered sugar was too tantalizing.
Admittedly, you were used to being left alone with Natasha at this point. Though it had mostly been in a business capacity. She seemed almost shy now, the line for the Ferris Wheel inching ever so closer.
“We can still go on, if you want.” She suggested.
“Yeah, yes. Of course.” You replied, “that would be lovely.”
“Your friend is very persistent.”
“She’s harmless, really.”
“And your daughter. She’s beautiful.” Natasha shoved her hands into her pockets, the two of you inching closer in line. “Just like her mother.”
Once again, you could feel the breath lodge in your throat, your cheeks flushing with fire. She was so bold at moments, and you remained silent in your conquest. There was no telling what was overstepping, though she blinked at you expectantly.
You fumbled dumbly with the tickets in your pockets, presenting them to the attendant. You both ended up in a cherry red car lined with nice leather cushions. Natasha’s thigh was warm against yours, her thick scent coating your lungs. Her arm was around the back of the cart, and a familiar sense of safety settled within you.
“You worry about her,” Natasha said to fill the silence as they loaded each cart. It lurched forward and back, making your stomach turn. “I didn’t start speaking until I was nine years old. My mother, she was so concerned that she rushed to be every specialist that money could buy. Whole days spent driving to different counties, just for them to say that same thing. Nothing is wrong, and I’ll talk when I’m ready.”
“What was that moment? The one where you were ready?”
She shrugged her shoulders. “The thing about being quiet, is that people tend not to notice when you’re in the room. My father protected Yelena and I from his world for as long as he could, but eavesdroppers hear no good of themselves, and others. I watched him give a man his last drink before shooting him between the eyes.”
“Fuck, Natasha.” You murmured.
“He doesn’t know I saw that. I ran as quietly as I could back to my room and hid under the duvet like a child. Something snapped in me that day and I no longer wanted to be silent. I suppose the fear of displeasing either of them ebbed the words from me.”
She was being vulnerable in front of you, a side that you had never seen. There were always her subtle touches, and her purred words that would hit the pit of your stomach. You’d watch as she gave unwavering commands to Clint, to Yelena and Kate. But this was different. This was her.
The city sparkled around you. Tricolored lights reflected off the blackness of the causeways that lapped listlessly at the harbor. If you squinted, you could almost make out the mansion where you spent most of your time.
The carnival buzzed below. Her scent was overwhelming, so warm and welcoming despite her danger. And dangerous she was. It was alluring, exciting. You looked at her, eyes pouring with emotion. Not so much pity, as she would snap your wrist at the fact. But a simple understanding.
Tentatively, you reached up and cupped her cheek. You both were too far above the ground to be realized and the simple gesture was one of good faith. Surprisingly, she leaned into your touch, making a quiet, relieved noise.
Your voice was whispered, “You didn’t deserve that. You were just a kid.”
She had closed her eyes, reveling in the warmth of your contact. Her features were so soft, so broken in this moment that you resisted the urge to kiss her frown away. Before you could contemplate it, the Ferris Wheel lurched and she gently took her fingers and wrapped them around your wrist, lowering both of your hands into her lap.
“She’ll talk,” Natasha gave your hand a squeeze “give her time.”
Natasha cleared her throat as the cart neared the end of its journey. She pulled away entirely, her arm still along the back of the seat. When she leaned closer, you could feel the weight of the gun in the inside pocket of her jacket. Seriousness had lidded over her eyes once more.
“We have a job tonight, and I want you to come along.” She said, breath hot on your collarbone.
You were suddenly snapped back to reality. Natasha was in fact the head of a crime ring that you had unwittingly stumbled into. Up until now, aside from the brutal beating, it had almost felt like child’s play. She’d relearned you how to shoot, and you knew the very basics of fighting. But, you were far from her Winter Soldier stand in. You weren’t even a toy soldier.
She sensed your hesitancy. “I have a meeting at a restaurant downtown. It’s not going to go south, but if it does, I need you there. You won’t be alone.”
“Clint?” You asked.
She shook her head “guys got a family of his own, he must spend some time with them outside of work hours. Kate.”
You fought back the noise that threatened to escape your throat. You didn’t doubt Kate, but you certainly doubted yourself. You didn’t have your own weapon, and the threat of leaving a restaurant with a bullet lodged between your ribs became very real, very quickly.
She chuckled at that, “I trust her. I trust you. Just stand there and follow her lead. Look hot and intimidating.”
“Is hot really a requirement?”
“Not really, but you pull it off.” There was a switch in her again, one that had been flipped effortlessly as she grabbed the collar of your sweater and pulled you impossibly close. You were nearly sitting in her lap. “Don’t fail me on this, y/n. It’s imperative that you do as you’re told.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
You swallowed thickly as her hands wandered your side expertly. It took you a moment to realize that she had pulled the gun from her own coat and silently transferred it to yours before she released her hold on you. You had admit that you missed the touch instantly.
She stood from the cart when the attendant unlocked the door, reaching her hand out to you. You took it was ease, letting her help you onto the metal dismount. There were no words exchanged as you readjusted the weapon as slyly as you could muster, hands shoved into your pockets a moment later.
“I don’t know what to tell you, dude.” You could hear Darcy’s voice from within the crowds. It was easy to spot them, and you swore you saw the ghost of a smile on Natasha’s face. “The kid kicked both of our asses. Split the difference and pay up.”
“Yeah, fine.” Clint fished out his wallet and placed a couple of bills in Darcy’s waiting palm. “The price of carnival food these days is outrageous.”
Kate had presented you with a leather holster that fit snuggly around your chest and abdomen. She’d tightened the straps, your arms halfway raised. It felt a bit like a dressing room at the mall, her breath hot on your cheek as she tugged the center strap to make sure it was secure.
“Natasha likes us to be presentable.” She handed you a dark jacket to throw over the contraption. “Inconspicuous and deadly. But still presentable.”
You followed Kate’s lead. Natasha was to drive to the restaurant, and the two of you were to follow in a separate car. It was important to stay quiet unless you were spoken to directly by Natasha. Kate seemed at ease on the ride over, drumming her fingers against the steering wheel to an incoherent pop song.
The holster pinched you uncomfortably, but you were so deep into your own fear, your own reluctance, to pay much attention. Kate shot you a look, hard in her nature, and then softer when she glanced at you a second time.
“You’re much too tense” she flicked off the radio, delving you into a comfortable silence. “Lower your shoulders and relax. It’ll be an uneventful night.”
“Right,” you let out a shaky breath “uneventful.”
“Look, I can’t imagine how jarring this is for you. I would have shut down by now, changed my name and gone into witness protection if I was thrown into this life the way you are. Without a choice. But, we can make the best of it and do what we can to protect Natasha.”
“It seems like she can handle herself,”
Kate chuckled “Oh, she can. But she doesn’t keep us around just for protection. It’s a big city, she wants people she trusts. She wants a family. And I know it might not seem like it, but her welcoming you into her inner circle… it’s a blessing. Just like we’d go to bat for her, she’d do the same for us.”
You swallowed the dryness in your throat as Natasha pulled her car to the curb in front of a russet brick building. Kate did the same expertly, shutting off the engine. She clapped you on the shoulder, giving you one more encouraging smile. “One night at a time, y/n. Follow my lead.”
Kate opened the door for Natasha, and you had to keep your jaw from dropping on the ground at the sight of her. Her long leg stretched onto the sidewalk, her hand squeezing Kate’s in return as she helped her from the vehicle.
She wore a maroon dress, one that had a slit down the leg that left little to the imagination. The color matched the shirt Kate had given you earlier, everything orchestrated to a tee. The woman looked at you approvingly before she took striding steps towards the front of the building. Out of habit, you held the door open for you, another look sparkling in her dark eyes.
It was a restaurant that you had never set foot in. There was a sour, yet pleasant, scent of vinegar and cabbage masked with that of freshly baked bread and beef. The walls were painted deep green, black and white photos of rolling hills placed above empty tables.
It was clear what table you were to be led to. There was one in the center of the restaurant that was set up with a bottle of wine, and water. A candle burned in the middle, shading the woman who occupied it with shadows that stretched her delicate features. She wasn’t alone.
The woman had cropped blonde hair at the shoulders. Her hazel eyes were calculating, clocking Kate and yourself immediately. Kate pulled Natasha’s chair back, allowing her to sit before she took a step back. You flanked her sides, arms behind your back and stare trained straight ahead like a sentinel.
“Two,” the woman smiled devilishly, hiding it behind a glass of deep red wine. “Are you compensating for something, or someone?”
The woman who stood much like you did behind her boss was not masking her contempt towards you. She was familiar in an irking way that you paid no mind to. It was in passing, you were sure, but it was one of those itches that would worsen until you could scratch it with your whole hand.
“Not at all,” Natasha replied cooly, “I believe there was something you wanted to discuss?”
“Mm, there was. You know the Maroni property on the west side.” She leaned forward, placing her glass down. Her lips were stained in a dark red that matched Natasha’s dress. “I want it.”
“That’s a horrible way to say please.”
“Natasha, we both know it doesn’t serve you in it’s current position.” She put emphasis on the name.
“I fail to see how that matters. Just giving you the property is out of the question. That’s not how this works, but I do admire your gumption.”
“Then how exactly does, this work?” She narrowed her eyes and leaned forward. Both you and Kate tensed. The vaguely-familiar woman behind Carol shifted on her feet in the slightest movement. “You kill one of my men and offer nothing in return?”
Natasha lifted her eyebrows “Exactly. This isn’t a bartering system, and it never has been. If I give you this building, it will change everything and I’m not much in the mood for a power struggle. What do you need it for?”
She seemed to falter “I don’t have to answer that. I’m offering to buy the property from you.”
“It’s not for sale.”
There was finality in her voice that rocked the room into silence. She hadn’t touched her wine, nor her water, and you figured she wouldn’t. Carol glowered at her, clearly not used to having her endeavors squashed with such ferocity.
Natasha took a steadying breath. “Is that all? It’s late and I’m tired of your graveling.”
She let out a sigh and crossed her legs, drumming her ringed fingers on the cloth-laid table. The flames in the candle seemed to react to her impatience. Kate’s jaw clenched and unclenched as she leveled the woman behind Carol with a fierce stare.
“I suppose. I want you to remember this moment, Natasha. I offered you a deal.” She stood and dramatically sighed once more. “This could have been easy.”
Kate always kept her eyes on Carol, on the woman who followed behind her with her hands shoved into her pockets. The darkness of a previous scar littered her collarbone. She had the same stare that Bucky had, that same determined anger that came with years of meetings with higher stakes than this.
“Oh, and Nat.” She stopped just short of the door, turning to face the three of you.
Kate reached for her weapon, and out of a blind trust, so had you. It was warm from its housed place against your side. In that moment, you knew that anyone else in the room would be a quicker shot than you. Still, your heart was beating quickly in your throat.
“I don’t know where your Winter Soldier is, but this is a sorry excuse for a replacement.” She laughed, a mean sound. “A kid and a burn-out… you should’ve taken the deal.”
She left without another word, leaving you in a chilling silence. For a few long moments, Natasha stared at the table, at her reflection in the syrupy red wine. Her fingers brushed against the glass, frowning.
“I’m twenty-three.” Kate let out in a single breath, eyes drifting from you.
“Don’t look at me,” You whispered back, “I am a burn-out.”

"Kate stop, I'm trying to do my make-up" You say laughing when she start to tickle your waist.
She starts to chuckle at your reaction as she lean forward and continue tickling you around your waist "Make-up can wait, you look gorgeous already" she put her chin on your head, smiling at you in the mirror.
"You're such a dork" You say sarcastically rolling your eyes at her words, but continue to put your blush on your cheeks. She don't respond but instead she tickle you one more time making you mad.
You roll eyes, looking for a second at her in the mirror reflection letting her know it's enough. "If you won't stop I'll punch you, and trust me your mother won't be happy when you will arrive like that" You say half deadly serious but also with smirk. You both are going to formal party which Kate's mother invited you to. You still have much time but you both like to gather up quicker. Your comment makes her laugh, but she wouldn't be surprised if her girlfriend would hit her. Because when you’re mad you can be really assertive.
"Well, I'm just trying to enjoy the view while I can" She can't help but smirk even though you're 'serious'. Her hands on your waist still aren't moving but holding you even tighter.
"You really like that dress I’m wearing?" You say in seductive voice meaningly. You know this dress can make her want to rip it off you, especially by tight and short design. She can admit she love it and hate it because the shortness provokes her.
She smirk "Yes… really" She say in low voice leaning down a little to kiss your shoulder and whisper in your skin "Can't wait to take you out of it either" she brushes her nose into your skin smelling your sweet perfume.
"Who said you are going to take it off me later?" You say teasingly turning around to her with your back pressed into desk. Your hands immediately went to her chest fixing her black shirt.
She’s not surprised by your feistiness "And who's going to try and stop me?" She say as her smirk raises into a smug look with a slight eyebrow raise as she squeeze your waist.
"Your mother will stop you if we will be late" You say playfully, wrapping your arms around her neck looking up at her eyes.
Snort escapes from her mouth shaking her head at you "There’s still much time and I can do this right now" Her low voice was quiet and hot making your stomach feel warm.
"Now?" You giggle softly seeing how much she craves you right now. Archer started to kiss your neck slowly brushing your skin with her breath. She hummed in response kissing your shoulder stroking your dress strap with her teeth "Even if we were a little late, my mother would still forgive us" She continued to murmur. You hum pulling her closer by her neck barely listening to her when you’re in heaven.
You moved your head to the side giving her much space while she can hear your little panting. You felt her hands on your hips clenching so she can raise you up for you to sit on desk. It’s crazy how easy she can do that.
She kissed your shoulders one couple times before she pulled away slowly "You know, she likes you" Archer added smiling smugly at you, looking down at your thighs to start playing with the material of the end dress which ended really high on your thighs when you’re sitting.
"I'm glad" Your smile grow bigger at her words. You really liked her mother too. You’ve always had so much in common and many topics to talk about so you’re happy to know that.
"She always tells me to treat you well because you’re a good girl" She says with smirk in her face being proud to say that. You noticed she’s really happy with that fact. You giggled at her confession and her eyes immediately went back to you. "Am I treating you enough?" She asks squinting her eyes with that charming smile putting hands on the side of yours thighs. She knows she treats you the best she can but she likes to play with you.
"Maybe" You say playfully smiling slyly. She run her tongue through inside of her cheek staring deeply into your eyes. You can feel the need between your legs when she looks at you like that.
"Maybe?" She repeated after you playfully, lowering her head down to look at your bare thighs, and you followed her gaze. She smiled smugly, carefully spreading your thighs a little bit with her hands. You carefully watched what she was doing, already feeling excited at her movements.
"What’s something I can do to make you feel well treated, my love?" She asks teasingly keeping her hands to herself waiting for your response, like a whole gentleman. She’s playing and you like it. The sexual tension makes you both want more and more.
You pretend to be thoughtful but you exactly know what you want "Hm, my legs are a bit of cold" You replied meaningfully shrugging your shoulders with smirk on your lips. She understood your point perfectly as she snort moving her hand to your thigh slowly running up and down. "Is that better?" Her voice was smooth and low enjoying your skin with her hand.
"Mhm.." You hummed in response staring blankly at her veiny hand on your thigh feeling like you’re losing your mind at her touch. "You like it too?" Your question surprised her.
"More than yes" Her smirk was something that made you melt right now. You breathed deeply craving her fingers inside you. The muscles in her arms tense up and the grip in her hands tightens as she feel your soft breaths and see your cheeks blush pink. Her hand squeezed your thigh, brushing at your skin, making you feel lightheaded.
She noticed that you were already at the end of your endurance. "Can you do it harder..?" You asked quietly flustered with her gently touch. You needed more.
"Harder?" Her smirk turns into a sly grin as she raise one of her eyebrows at your request so she started to squeeze and caress your skin harder than before. She slightly looked at you, wanting to see your reaction as her grip tighten around your skin, really close your panties. You bite your lip as her fingers slid a little into your panties, driving over the material teasingly.
She hear your panting and she want to do more to you. "How about I kiss them instead?" Her smile grew bigger as she saw your reaction when her hand went lower, brushing over your sensitive spot.
Your look in the eyes where enough for her so she lowered her head to tease you with breath on your skin. You see her playing so you take your hand and place it on her head pulling her down so you can finally touch your thighs with her lips.
Her smirk stays on face as she feel your hand on her head and you pressing down on her head makes her feel like she have no choice but to do what you ask. Her mouth opens and her lips move onto your thigh, kissing it as she feel your body tense up and your soft moans make her want you even more. She kissed your skin slowly and gently but quickly she started to bite your skin leaving hickeys on your sensitive skin. Without hesitation you moaned feeling the best.
You leaned back resting your hands on the desk. She take advantage of it so she stopped for a while just to aggressively pull your fabric of dress higher to you hip line. She noticed your lace underwear, she bought you the other day. "You look sexy" Archer complimented you, then immediately started kissing your thighs higher and higher till she reached your hip line, stroking your panties with her teeth. No one could ever imagine how divinely you felt right now. She took your one leg and place it on her shoulder so she can kiss your inner thighs. That move was really sensual for you. You can feel your heart pounding so fast.
"Shit Kate…" You pant being at the edge of moaning, when she bite your thigh just few inches away from your sensitive spot. She can feel your whole body hot and really enjoying this which made her want to do more and more. She bite and kiss your thighs making the marks darker and more noticeable.
"I’ll have to hide it" You say looking at your thighs all over with hickeys.
She smirk then move her mouth higher up your thigh "Do you think you can walk afterwards?" She ask flirtatiously in low voice, before giving your thigh another forceful bite. You don’t care if you won’t be able to walk, it’s to amazing to care about it now.
"You will have to carry me" You reply teasingly still wanting to play. She chuckle deeply "I have nothing against" She raises her head to look at you.
"Can I take off your panties my lady?" Her breath was stroking your skin and her voice was so gentle, and you never would deny to her when she’s like this.
"Yes.." You reply excited at her words. She pull your panties gently to completely take them off. Her eyes was consuming you craving your taste. She takes your other leg and put them both on your shoulder so she can have better access, and she gently pull you closer so she can do what she want. Your body was in heaven right now.
She started to kiss your thighs again then slowly wander to your clit at lick you slowly. You moaned feeling her tongue inside you. "Fuck.." You pant throwing your head back in pleasure. You felt more hot and hot each second.
She lick and suck your clit and it was enough for you "fuck you’re so hot" She chuckle dipping her tongue deep into you, then immediately started to massage your clit with her fingers to end your suffering. You was completely choked, breathing heavily and moaning staring to feel your legs shaking. Of course archer noticed it so she on purpose made her movements even faster, and even though you’ve already came, she wanted you to made you feel better so she didn’t stop.
"Fuck Kate" You moan having already overwhelmed. She pulled her tongue out of you but continued to massage your clit way slower now. She clenched her jaw seeing your back arched. "Enough?" She chuckled stopping her movements.
Without your response she took your legs from her shoulders to place them back on the desk but she hold you close to her as you try to calm down. She wipes your juices from under her mouth with her thumb as if it’s just dinner. You pull her by your hands on her shirt to passionate kiss. After seconds of make out you pulled away. "Kate I think I won’t be able to walk because of you" You say with little smirk barely feeling your legs.
"We still have time to that party" She added smirking at you. "You can spread it out" She chuckle "and cover" biting her lip while looking at marks on your skin.

pairing: kate bishop x reader
summary: kate's competitiveness gets in the way of her seeing you for who you truly are.
warnings: technically none?; idiots in love; kate technically does knock R on their ass but no one gets hurt; yelena being an awful wingman; kate's sad puppy dog eyes; me feeling rusty af after writing so many serious essays
wordcount: 1.6k
a/n: me writing something else instead of focusing on the large pile of requests i still haven't gotten to? yeah, it's more likely than you think. i'll try to get into a somewhat normal posting schedule at some point if uni ever stops kicking my butt BUT FOR NOW, enjoy what was supposed to be a valentine's day special. also, don't worry, kissing in the crossfire part two WILL be happening!
* * * * * * *
You’re not sure what’s worse, being the newest member of the Young Avengers or being the member with the most obvious crush possible. It’s like the universe didn’t think you had enough difficulties getting used to life with your new team, it also thought you needed to juggle having the biggest crush on one of your teammates simultaneously.
Because fighting criminals daily isn’t hard enough, right?
You had tried your hardest to keep your massive crush on a certain purple-loving archer a secret but your plan had gone out the window the second Yelena figured out the hidden feelings behind your lingering stares. To say she didn’t understand your fascination with Kate Bishop would be an understatement but at least she tried to help…in her own, weirdly aggressive, way.
Her help mainly included making ridiculous comments at your expense. Comments that went completely over Kate’s head every single time and only led to awkward silences and unanswerable questions.
You thought the Russian was on her way to giving up and letting you handle your love life problems on your own but of course, when has Yelena given up an opportunity to embarrass someone she cares about?
It’s exactly Yelena’s love of embarrassing you that’s forced you into a situation you wouldn’t be able to get out of if you tried: sparring with the purple archer herself.
Training in the same room as Kate is already bad enough, especially considering her habit of wearing gray sweatpants and a tight purple cropped shirt, but having to spar with her? While she looks that good? And she has that stupid smirk on her face because she knows she’s going to win?
Nothing you could do could stop you from looking like a goddamn fool.
And that’s exactly what you look like right now.
It’s not bad enough that you can’t concentrate enough to anticipate her punches, you also don’t even know where to look because all of her is so damn attractive. It’s impressive and annoying all at the same time and it’s unfortunately taking up too much of your brain space right now.
You’re acutely aware of Yelena’s disapproving looks but you’re even more aware of the constant glares Kate throws in between rapid punches. Your brain may not be working well enough for you to spar correctly but if there’s one thing you can do, it’s dodge…which only infuriates the archer.
“Will you quit moving?” She huffs, only barely stopping her lips from forming a frustrated pout.
“What else am I supposed to do? Let you punch me?” You reply.
“That’d be a good start, yeah.”
“Ladies, quit chattering!”
You know Yelena is being annoying on purpose to get on your nerves but that doesn’t stop you from turning to glare at her. Your mouth barely begins to form around the complaints you want to hurl at her when Kate takes her opportunity.
It’s technically cheating, and it’s incredibly advantageous, but she’s not thinking about any of that. All she wants is to win and she doesn’t think twice. She swipes her leg under both of yours, catching you by surprise and instantly sending you crashing down onto the hard ground.
You don’t get a second to react before the back of your head makes contact with the floor. Large black spots fill your vision as Yelena starts throwing out curses at the startled archer. You barely make out the outline of Kate’s worried face before your eyes slip shut and darkness overcomes you.
You don’t know how much time goes by, or how many times Kate gets scolded in increasingly more aggressive Russian, all you know is that when you wake up…you’re not alone.
Your first instinct when your eyes open again is to sit up but a gentle hand pushes you back down before you get too far. “Don’t try to move, you’re gonna get a killer headache. Trust me.”
“Oh, I’m supposed to trust you after you knocked me on my ass?” You huff. It makes you sound more like a kid throwing a tantrum than an angry Avenger but you don’t really care.
“We were sparring, what else was I supposed to do?”
You don't notice the small grin that accompanies her recycled words, too upset and embarrassed about getting your ass handed to you by someone who's too lost in her own world to notice how much you like her.
“What else was I supposed to do?” You mock her. “Did you try not being a jerk?”
“That’s not fair. You’re the one who ignores me all the time but I’m the jerk here?”
Her words don’t catch you as off guard as the look on her face. You’re expecting to see flashes of the arrogant archer most of your teammates claim exists behind the usual warmth Kate so easily radiates. Instead of anger or arrogance, though, you come face to face with the most overdramatic pout you’ve ever seen.
And you suddenly understand why people say there’s a fine line between love and hate. Because it would be easy to think Kate Bishop is the most annoying person in the world if you didn’t also think she’s the most adorable person you’ve ever met…despite the constant ease with which she turns everything into an argument.
“What are you even talking about?”
“You don’t like me! And you don’t even try to hide it!”
All you can do is stare at her and wonder how the world’s greatest archer also happens to be the world’s most oblivious person. “You’re an idiot, Katherine.”
Her eyebrows crinkle in disgust but you’re pretty sure it has more to do with your use of her legal first name than the insult you push her way. “You sound like my mom.”
“You’re not helping your case.”
She opens her mouth to reply in an instant, a half-formed stupid sentence already forming on the tip of her tongue. You’re expecting yet another unnecessary argument to break out. Yet another reason for you to give up on all your attempts to build a bridge of thoughtful actions and sweet words that will lead you to who Kate truly is under the mask she so effortlessly wears around everyone else.
You’ve learned to expect anything from Kate Bishop. Especially the unexpected.
“I know. I’m sorry.” She adds the tiniest smile and most awkward shrug you’ve ever seen to her soft-spoken apology.
“What did you just say?” You ask, wondering if you hit your head hard enough to be imagining this whole interaction.
“You heard me,” she replies but her tone carries more traces of embarrassment than the cockiness you’re used to. “You’re right, I’m an idiot.”
You’re left dumbstruck, waiting for the other shoe to drop. There’s no way the archer can say those words without some sort of snarky comment coming after it. So you wait. Watching her with curious eyes that only fuel the nervousness bubbling underneath her carefree posture.
It’s strange to realize how little you genuinely know about her. Having a crush on her has ironically been the easiest part of everything. Sure, it’s awkward and annoying and ridiculous but believing you understand her is easier than accepting the fact that Kate’s never let you in.
So why would she start now?
“Are you going to say something?” The subtle crack in her voice reveals the truth she’s trying to hide behind her usual smirk.
There are so many things you want to say but you’re still a little lightheaded and the sudden change in her attitude toward you isn’t helping you keep yourself in check. “I like your smile.”
“Oh.”
You could easily dismiss her reaction as indifferent if it weren’t for the pink hue emerging across her cheeks. It’s subtle and warm and…real. Like her. And it suddenly dawns on you that you’ve never seen Kate Bishop flustered before.
Especially not from one of your compliments. It’s different…and you really like it.
“Can I ask you something, Kate?”
She looks away from you for a second, almost as if she’s scared of what you might say. Of the possibilities that lie in your unspoken feelings. “Sure, yeah, go ahead.”
Your mouth begins to form one of the many questions you’ve wanted to ask the archer since you met her but then her eyes find yours again and you get a glimpse into the fear-filled storm inside their depths.
It’s subtle but the armor made from cocky grins and imperfectly timed jokes begins to crack.
Which means there’s no way you’re going to spring such a loaded question on her just yet. As much as you’d love an answer to the one thing that’s been haunting you since you realized your true feelings for her, there’s no way you’d force her when it’s clear it’s been far too long since she’s let herself be vulnerable around someone.
So, you settle for the only thing you need right now: her.
“Can you stay with me?” You do your best to ignore the warmth that spreads along your face as the words slip out of your mouth. “Yelena doesn’t have the best bedside manner.”
A beat of silence goes by before her lips form a genuine smile. “Yeah, I can do that.”
Her eyes nervously flick around the room in search of somewhere to sit. You watch her for a few seconds before putting her out of her anxious misery.
“Kate…” You trail off, doing your best to hold in your laughter as you pat the empty space beside you. “You can sit here, I won’t bite.”
Your words are all it takes for her nervousness to turn back into her usual goofiness. “Really? That’s not what I’ve heard…”
“So you do talk shit about me!”

Tumblr media
"Come on, try again." Natasha says as she hold the lap for you to hit it.
The past few weeks, you´ve been trying to keep yourself busy. Small missions. Paper work. Training with Natasha. Spending time with MJ and Peter in Queens. Everything to keep Kate away. Everyone realized that something is wrong, that´s the main reason, why Fury didn´t give you a long or a hard missions. He couldn´t risk you being reckless, but he also didn´t want to keep you out of the game.
"I´m trying!" You yell as you hit the boxing paw, but you didn´t cover your face, so Natasha hits you back.
"Your mind is somewhere else. I need you to be here with me." The redhead put her hand back up, for you to try again. "If we would be on the field, you´d be dead by now." She states, hoping it will motivate you, but it did the exact opossite.
"That would be great, actually." You try to hit her paw, but she put her hands down.
"(Y/N)…" Natasha looks at you and takes off the paws.
"What are you doing?" You are supposed to train for another fifty minutes.
"We´re having a break. Sit down." You sit down, taking off your gloves. "Are you gonna talk to me, or just pretend like everything is great?" Natasha sits down as well.
You shrug. "It's complicated, Nat. I don't even know where to start."
"Start at the beginning. I'm here to listen." She looks at you.
"It's about feelings. Complicated feelings," you admit, fidgeting with the edge of your gloves.
"Remember when I used to have a crush on Wanda? Well, it turns out those feelings are just exchanged with a different feelings.. with different someone…"
Natasha nods, her expression encouraging you to continue.
"It´s Kate," you continue, the weight of the unspoken emotions settling between you. "I never expected to feel this way again, but it's there. And I can't face her. I can't face anyone, really."
Natasha's eyes reflect empathy as she absorbs your words. "Feelings are messy, (Y/N), but running from them won't make them disappear. You've got to confront them, understand them, and then decide what to do next."
You look down at your hands, the moment feeling like a barrier between you and the vulnerability of your emotions. "I already decided, I don´t want to confront them at all. It´s just… overwhelming."
Natasha reaches over, placing a comforting hand on your shoulder. "You don't have to figure it all out at once. Take it one step at a time. Talk to Kate. See where it goes. And remember, I'm here for you, no matter what. And like with Wanda it either will go away or you will figure it out."
You sigh. "It was different with Wanda. In many ways. I don´t think it will be the same. They are both totally different people." You say as you think about that time of your life.
"What was different? Having a bro code with Pietro?" Natasha asks, without missing a beat and that makes you smile and roll your eyes.
The door swings open, your gaze lifts, only to meet the eyes of the archer you've been succesfully avoiding. Instantly, your posture tenses, a reflexive response to the presence.
Kate walks in, but stops as she notices you´re with Natasha, "can I have a minute with (Y/N)?"
Natasha looks at you and you just nod. Which makes Natasha stand up and leave the room.
"So…" Kate starst, but she is actually not really sure how to start at all.
"So…" You look at her and she sits down next to you."You had a sparing session with Natasha?" Kate asks, looking at the gloves on the ground.
"Um- yeah, yeah, I had." You nod as well as Kate.
The room holds an unspoken tension. Kate breaks the silence with a question that cuts through the charged atmosphere.
"Am I too annoying?" Kate's gaze is probing, searching for confirmation in your eyes.
Your response is quick, "What? No! Of course not!"
Kate interrupts, her tone cutting, "You've been off. So what's your problem?"
"I don´t have a problem." You shrug.
"You don´t? Well even Mike thinks you´re kinda off…" Kate states.
A scoff escapes your lips involuntarily, and you mutter mockingly, "oh Mike thinks that.."
The archer looks at you and raise her eyebrow, "what´s that supposed to mean?"
"Forget it, nothing." You look away, already feeling like you gonna explode.
"Say it." You can feel that the atmosphere didn´t clear out at all.
"No, it´s nothing important." You look back at her.
"(Y/N), say it!" Kate is on the verge of exploding too, you can feel it and even see it.
"Okay, fine! Your boyfriend, he´s a dick." Okay, that slipped out. Shit, that shouldn´t have slipped out.
Oh god.
You succesfully shocked the archer, she is completly stunned. "What's your problem with Mike?" Kate's voice rises, defensive and confrontational.
"It's this something about him." you take a deep breath, the tension escalating. "You deserve better." There it is, you finally said it. Maybe a little differently then you wanted, but you did.
The declaration becomes a spark igniting an unexpected blaze. Kate's eyes narrow, a mixture of frustration and anger surfacing. "You don't know him like I do. You don't get to judge my choices. Who do you think you are to say these things?!"
The argument escalates, a collision of conflicting emotions, and before you know it, the room becomes a battleground once again. Before you could find your words, trying to save it, she speaks once again.
"I don't need this. I thought we could talk, but clearly, I was wrong."
And with that, Kate storms out, leaving you alone in the sparring room, the echoes of the confrontation lingering in the air like a haunting melody.
Fuck.
...
After the heated confrontation with Kate, the sparring room feels like a vacuum, the lingering echoes of the argument still resonating in the air. Hours pass, marked by the ticking clock and the persistent sound of rain against the windows. Eventually, you decide to venture back to the living room, a sense of emptiness accompanying each step.
As you enter the living room, you open the fridge in hopes that you will find a fresh icy cold water bottle. Finally you have a little luck in your life and there it is. As you take few sips from it you speak out. "Hey, F.R.I.D.A.Y., have you seen Kate around?" you inquire, your voice betraying a hint of sadness.
F.R.I.D.A.Y. responds with a measured tone, "Miss Bishop is currently on a mission with Mr. Rogers and Miss Belova. They left a forty minutes ago."
A pang of regret tightens your chest. The opportunity to apologize and mend things with Kate slips through your fingers, replaced by a sense of longing and missed chances.
"Alright, thanks, F.R.I.D.A.Y.," you mutter, retreating to a corner of the living room. The rain outside matches the melancholy mood within, creating a backdrop for the emotional storm you find yourself caught in.
...
You find solace in the embrace of your bed, its comfort offering a temporary refuge from the emotional turmoil that swirls within. The room, dimly lit by the glow of the bedside lamp, becomes a sanctuary where you can confront the tangled web of feelings.
Wrapped in the warmth of blankets, you replay the events in your mind, analyzing each word and gesture. Regret sticks with you, and the longing to bridge the gap between you and Kate grows with each passing moment. The desire to apologize, to untangle the knots of misunderstanding, becomes a persistent ache that refuses to dissipate.
But was it a misunderstanding? Or just something you held in yourself for a really long time?
As the rain continues its rhythmic dance against the window, time seems to stretch, each moment weighed down by the emotional heaviness. The glow of the bedside clock ticks away, a constant reminder of the day slipping through your fingers.
Messages from MJ and Peter light up your phone, concerned inquiries that you choose to ignore for now. You will answer them later. Maybe.
The dim glow of the bedside clock casts a faint light in the room as your phone incessantly lights up with notifications. Ignoring it initially, you think it´s MJ or Peter again. However, the persistent buzzing becomes too insistent to ignore, pulling you back to the harsh reality beyond the cocoon of your thoughts.
A new notification pops up, catching your attention. It's from Yelena, and the message sends a shiver down your spine. "Kate got into an accident. We're at the hospital."
The words hang in the air, a chilling realization that transcends the emotional turmoil you've been grappling with. The cocoon of solitude suddenly feels fragile, the threads unraveling in the face of an unforeseen crisis.
Before you can fully process the gravity of the situation, your phone vibrates with an incoming call from Natasha. With a sense of foreboding, you answer, your voice catching in your throat.
"(Y/N), it's about Kate. There's been an accident," Natasha's voice is steady but laced with an underlying tension. "They're at the St.Nicholas. Steve said it's serious. You need to come, but please drive carefuly." Natasha´s voice cracks and that makes your stomach drops even lower.
Without a second thought, you spring into action, a surge of adrenaline propelling you out of the room and into the stormy night. The rain outside mirrors the tempest within as you navigate the path to the hospital, the glow of your phone lighting the way with messages that now hold a newfound urgency.
The rain-drenched streets blur as you rush towards the hospital, heart pounding in your chest. The vivid lights of the emergency room entrance greet you as you finally arrive, breathless and soaked. Your gaze scans the room, finding Natasha, Steve, and Yelena huddled together, their faces etched with worry.
Ignoring the pull of exhaustion, you hurry towards them, relief and anxiety warring within you. Natasha, noticing your arrival, steps forward, her eyes reflecting a mix of concern and understanding.
"(Y/N), she's stable now," Natasha says softly, her hand resting reassuringly on yours as she stops you from coming into the room. "But they won't let us visit her just yet."
A mix of emotions floods over you – relief that Kate is stable, yet a lingering unease at the unknown extent of her injuries. The hospital's sterile ambiance amplifies the tension in the air as Steve steps forward, his usually stoic expression betraying a deep concern.
"There was a room filled with explosive material, and it detonated while she was near it," Steve explains, the weight of the situation evident in his voice. "She's lucky to be alive."
As Steve explains, you feel a knot tighten in your stomach. The image of Kate, caught in the blast, flashes in your mind. The once trivial disagreements now seem insignificant, overshadowed by the reality of Kate's perilous situation.
Yelena remains silent, her eyes revealing the worry she can't put into words. The waiting room becomes a space suspended in time, a limbo between the fear of the unknown and the hope for Kate's recovery.
For now, the only option is to wait – to wait for news, for permission to visit Kate, and, above all, for a sign that she will pull through.
...
Time seems to stretch as the group anxiously awaits news about Kate. The sterile waiting room is filled with hushed conversations and the rhythmic beeping of medical equipment. The air is thick with anticipation until finally, a doctor emerges, breaking the tense silence.
"Miss Bishop is stable. She's going to be okay," the doctor announces, a collective sigh of relief escaping from those gathered. "However, she needs time to recover. The explosion caused many injuries, and she's currently sleeping."
Steve, Yelena, and Natasha exchange grateful glances, and a sense of gratitude washes over them. The doctor continues, "You can visit her. We'll keep you updated on her progress."
As the trio heads toward Kate's room, you hesitate. The relief is palpable, but an overwhelming desire to be close to Kate prevails. Determined, you follow them into the room.
Kate lies peacefully on the hospital bed, surrounded by the sterile white walls. Machines softly hum, monitoring her vital signs. You can hear Yelena talk in russian, which you don´t understand at all.
Natasha places a gentle hand on Yelena´s shoulder, exchanging a few quiet words with her and Steve before leading them out, leaving you alone with your friend.
The room is dimly lit, the soft glow of monitors casting a gentle light on Kate's sleeping form. The exhaustion from the events of the day catches up with you, but an unwavering need to be there for Kate keeps you by her side.
You pull a chair close to the bed, taking Kate's hand in yours. The rhythmic beeping of the machines becomes a soothing backdrop as you sit there, unmoving, lost in the quiet vigil.
"I´m really sorry, Katie." You whisper, so much regret in those words. Hours pass, marked by the steady rise and fall of Kate's chest. Your mind is a tempest of emotions – relief, worry, gratitude. The ordeal has left you physically and emotionally drained. The chair feels uncomfortable, but you can't bring yourself to leave Kate's side.
As the night wears on, fatigue sets in. The hospital room becomes your bedroom now, interrupted only by the soft sounds of medical equipment. Unable to resist the heaviness of your eyelids, you lean against the chair and finally fall asleep too.
...
Morning light filters through the hospital room's window, casting a soft glow on the still figure of Kate. The rhythmic sounds of medical equipment persist, a constant reminder of the fragile balance between recovery and the unknown. You wake up, the stiffness in your muscles a testament to the night spent in the uncomfortable chair.
The door creaks open, and Natasha enters, holding a small tray with a cup of water and a plate of food. Her eyes, though tired, hold a reassuring warmth.
"Hey," Natasha says softly, offering a small smile. "I thought you might need this."
Tears well up in your eyes as you take in the caring gesture. "Thanks, Nat."
Natasha places the tray on the table and pulls a chair closer. "How are you holding up?"
You shrug and glance at Kate, her peaceful slumber giving you a momentary respite. "The last time we talked, we had a fight," you confess, your voice choked with emotion.
Natasha leans forward, a comforting presence. "(Y/N), these things happen, especially in our line of work. What's important now is that she's going to be okay."
"I was too blind to let her be happy," you admit, the weight of regret settling in. "I should have never said anything."
Natasha reaches out, squeezing your hand gently. "You care about her, and that's what matters. The rest can be worked out later." She encourages you to eat and drink, a gentle reminder of the need to take care of yourself. The food feels tasteless, but with Natasha's support, each bite becomes a small triumph.
"Kate is strong, and she's going to pull through. You being here for her matters more than you realize," Natasha reassures, offering a comforting presence in the quiet hospital room.
Her words are stuck in your head. You are here. You are. Where is Mike?
"He's still not here, hasn't even bothered to check in," you mutter to Natasha, a sense of frustration coloring your tone.
Natasha furrows her brow, sensing the underlying tension. "Mike? Maybe he's just dealing with things in his own way."
"So if you had the love of your life in a hospital you wouldn´t care to find them?" You are once again getting angry, even though you are strongly agaisnt the man, maybe you are overreacting. Or maybe you are right the whole time. Thoughts are running in and out of your head. Too much things at the moment.
"(Y/N), people react differently in situations like these. Give him some time."
But the silence from Mike speaks louder than any explanation Natasha could offer. The realization stirs a mix of emotions — frustration, disappointment, and a strange sense of feeling you couldn´t name yet.
Natasha leaves the hospital room, offering a reassuring smile as she heads to the cafeteria to check up on Steve and Yelena. The door closes behind her, leaving you alone with your thoughts and sleeping Kate.
After some time, Natasha returns with Yelena, her expression serious. "Steve's heading back to the compound to take care of some calls and paperwork. He'll be back soon," she informs you.
The hospital room feels both empty and crowded, a paradoxical mix of solitude and shared concern. Yelena, seated by the window, looks up as Natasha speaks. "We´ll stay here with you for a while," Nat offers.
Grateful for the company, you nod, and Natasha takes a seat in the corner, while Yelena sits by Kate's bedside. The atmosphere in the room becomes more subdued, the weight of the events settling in.
After a little bit you step out to get some fresh air, a knot of tension lingers. The hallway outside is quiet, and you take a moment to collect your thoughts. As you turn to the bathrooms, you notice someone standing a little way down the corridor — Mike, Kate's boyfriend.
His presence catches you off guard, and a mixture of emotions surges within. The frustration from the previous thoughts intensifies, and a sense of unease accompanies the realization that he's here, yet the silence persists.
Mike looks up from his phone, noticing you. His expression is a mix of surprise and discomfort. The air between you is thick with unspoken words and unresolved tensions. It's a moment frozen in time, the hospital hallway becoming a silent arena for a confrontation that has been brewing beneath the surface.
Yelena and Natasha remain inside the room, unaware of the encounter in the hallway. The decision of whether to address the situation or let it linger hangs in the air, and as you lock eyes with Mike. You know Kate would not want you to go up to him and start a fight, but you can´t help it.
The air in the hospital hallway thickens as you approach Mike, who seems taken aback by your presence. A mix of frustration and anger simmers beneath the surface, waiting to erupt.
"It took you a while to finally arrive," you say, the words laced with a mixture of scoff and irritation.
Mike doesn't respond with an apology or explanation. Instead, he meets your challenging gaze and, with a dismissive tone, retorts, "Why do you care?"
The confrontation escalates, each word becoming a verbal jab as the tension between you intensifies. Mike, rather than showing concern for Kate or acknowledging the gravity of the situation, responds with rudeness and indifference.
"Why do I care?!" There it is, the sharp exchange of words. "If she was my girlfriend, I would call, text—I would run into every hospital, until I would find her!" you shout, your frustration boiling over. But Mike remains unmoved, his calm demeanor only fueling the fire.
"But she's not," he speaks with an unsettling calmness.
The words hang in the air, a harsh reality that slaps you in the face. "What?" you stammer, caught off guard by the bluntness of his statement.
"You've said it yourself, if. She is not your girlfriend," Mike replies, his words cutting through the emotional turmoil like a knife.
The realization hits hard, the vulnerability beneath your anger exposed. The hurt, disappointment, and frustration converge into a surge of raw emotion.
Natasha, hearing the escalating confrontation, steps in, grabbing your hand to stop you from saying or doing anything impulsive. "You won't help her by this, (Y/N)," she says calmly, her grip a grounding force amid the tempest of emotions.
The hospital hallway becomes a silent witness to the tangled threads of relationships, the fractures laid bare in the harsh light of truth. As Natasha intervenes, you take a deep breath, grappling with the storm of emotions within. The focus shifts from the confrontation to the shared concern for Kate's well-being, a reminder that in the face of adversity, unity is more crucial than discord.
Natasha makes you take a few deep breaths, trying to diffuse the tension. Frustration still simmers within you, and you can't shake off the urge to do something impulsive. Your words to Natasha echo your volatile emotions.
"He's being an arrogant idiot," you mutter to Natasha, your anger palpable. "I swear, if I didn't care about Kate, I'd punch him."
Mike, unfazed, wears an arrogant smile as if reveling in the chaos he has incited. The atmosphere in the hospital corridor remains charged, the unspoken conflict simmering beneath the surface. With a frustrated scoff you finally manage to go to the bathroom, to freshen up a little bit, or at least calm the anger burning inside you.
In the midst of the tension, a weak voice cuts through the air. Kate stirs in her hospital bed, her gaze flickering around the room as she tries to make sense of her surroundings. Her eyes land on Yelena, who is engrossed in a magazine.
"What the hell was that?" Kate asks, her voice a mix of confusion and concern.
"Kate! You´re awake! Oh and that? (Y/N)." Yelena puts the magazine down.
"Is she okay?" Kate asks without a beat.
Yelena hesitates for a moment, choosing her words carefully. "She's… okay."
The ambiguity in Yelena's response doesn't escape Kate's notice. "Whats that supposed to mean?" Kate´s voice still very raspy from just waking up.
"Well curently she´s cursing at your boy for being a dick." The blonde chuckles, as she´s rooting for your win.
"She is?" Kate's eyes widen with a mix of surprise and concern.
"Yeah… I heard Natasha step in, too sad I wanted to see (Y/N) throw some fists, she could take him.." Yelena looks at Kate, "what? I´m just stating the facts."
Kate tries to sit up and leave the bed, but Yelena immedietly notices and tries to keep her in bed. "No, Kate, stay." But that doesn´t stop the injured archer.
Ignoring Yelena's attempts to keep her in bed, Kate go out the room, trying to piece together the events that led her here until her gaze finally lands on Natasha, a silent guardian in the midst of the unfolding drama. Mike´s back is facing Kate as she somehow walked out of her hospital room.
"You all are crazy, who do you think you guys are? Mighty heroes?" He laughs "At least Kate will realize how useless her bow and arrow is…"
"Mike…" Natasha tries as she meets Kate´s blue eyes. Her posture softens a little bit with relief as she notices that Kate is awake.
"If her dad was around maybe she would get some sences knocked into her, this is ridicilous. Pretending to be a hero." Kate barerly stands there, she hopes this is just a big hallucination from the pills they gave her. "And who is your inspiration, hm? A- a- hooker mixed with Lara Croft?"
Natasha steps forward with a slight smile on her face, "If I was you, I would choose your words more wisely."
"What did you just said?" Kate jumps in with a question, her voice cracking up a little bit.
Mike turns around, completly shifting his body language, "oh babe! You are awake!" He rushes to her side but Yelena is quick to walk out of the room and push him away.
"Возьми ее за руки, и я сломаю тебе все кости в твоем чертовом теле." Yelena is really ready to strike.
(translation: Get your fucking hands on her and I´ll break all of your bones in your god damn body.)
"Leave me alone, she is my girlfriend!" The guy states. "Mine, understand?!" He tries to fight off the Widow, but if anything it was more of a sad try on his side.
The dismissive tone and lack of accountability in Mike's words infuriate Kate. Her face contorts with anger as she delivers a stern message. "You need to leave, Mike. I don't want to see you."
"Babe-" Mike's another attempt at a protest is met with a stern gaze from Kate, cutting him off. "Go home, Mike. I need some space."
"It´s because of your freak friend, right? That poor (Y/N)…" He somehow gets Yelena´s hands off of him and adjust his jacket.
Kate's eyes narrow at the mention of your name, and a wave of frustration washes over her. "Go."
Before Mike can respond Natasha is leading him out of the sight, while Yelena helps Kate back to her bed.
Kate nods, a mix of gratitude and relief in her eyes. "Thanks, guys. Now, can someone fill me in on everything that happened?"
As Yelena explains everything from the mission to this moment, Natasha, with her keen sense of observation, follows the emotional trail to find you in the bathroom. The tension and frustration from the earlier confrontation still linger, and she approaches you with a steady but understanding gaze.
"Kate is awake," Natasha announces, her words breaking through the quiet reflection in the bathroom.
The news propels you into action. Without a second thought, you practically sprint back to the hospital room where Kate is, your heart racing with a mix of anxienty and relief.
With Yelena and Natasha giving you some privacy, the atmosphere in the hospital room becomes more intimate. Kate looks at you with a mixture of gratitude and curiosity, and you can sense the unspoken questions lingering in the air.
"You really went to fight for me out there," Kate says, breaking the silence. Her voice is soft, filled with appreciation.
You give her a small smile. "Of course, Kate. He´s such an- anytime."
Kate chuckles at your words, "I appreciate it. More than you know." You find yourself sit next to her side once again. "I just couldn't stand by and let him hurt you. You mean a lot to me."
Kate's expression softens, and she reaches out to take your hand. "You mean a lot to me too. I didn't expect anyone to stand up for me like that."
"Well, get used to it," you say with a playful grin. "I've got your back. And now more than ever, miss walking into a room with explossives." You playfully tease her.
Kate just laughs, even though it hurts her a little bit.
"So, what did you do in the hallway, before Nat stepped in?"
You can't help but chuckle, the tension dissipating. "Oh nothing, just me telling off to your not-so-charming boyfriend."
Kate raises an eyebrow wanting to say something totally different then the thing she left out. "Hm, alright then."
"You should get some rest," you smile as you put the blanket over her. "I´m fine, actually I don´t feel much pain." Kate says as she visible fights off the sleepiness.
"That´s because you´re high, Bishop." You chuckle.
"Hm… interesting, I didn´t though about it." She opens her eyes. "You´re so high."
"Yup. Probably, I mean… this stuff is good. It got the kick." She smiles as she shifts a little bit in her bed and she finally drift off.
...
As the days pass, you continue to be by Kate's side, offering support and companionship during her recovery in the hospital. Your presence becomes a source of comfort, and together, you navigate the challenges of rehabilitation. Feeling like you two are even closer than before, feeling so good around her as she does. You feel complete again.
Not a signle thought about Mike in yours or Kate´s head.
Finally, the day arrives when Kate is well enough to leave the hospital. You assist her in the wheelchair, wheeling her out of the hospital room and through the corridors. As you approach the compound, the familiar faces of the Avengers greet both of you with smiles and cheers. They've organized a "Welcome Back" party for Kate, a celebration of her recovery and return.
With the wheelchair parked in the midst of the festive atmosphere, Kate insists, "I can handle the wheelchair on my own, you know." You respond with a playful grin, "I like to push you around."
The words carry a lighthearted warmth, an acknowledgment of the bond that has grown stronger during these trying times. Kate chuckles, appreciating the sentiment behind your words.
Throughout the party, you continue to take care of Kate, ensuring she's comfortable and included in the festivities. The Avengers express their relief and happiness at seeing Kate back on her feet, and the atmosphere is one of shared joy and camaraderie.
As the night progresses, the two of you find a quiet corner to sit and talk. The glow of the party surrounds you, but in that moment, it's the connection between you and Kate that shines the brightest.
"You've been a real friend through all of this," Kate says, sincerity in her eyes.
"I just wanted to be here for you," you reply, a soft smile on your face. After a little you look back at her. "I had this crazy idea. Do you trust me, Bishop?" you ask, a playful smile on your face.
Kate looks at you with a mix of curiosity and a hint of nervous anticipation. "Do I have a choice?" she replies, a playful smirk tugging at the corner of her lips.
"Not really," you admit, your eyes dancing with excitement. "Fine, fine. I trust you." Kate nods.
"Okay, then get ready, because we´re going for a ride!" You say as you help her get back on the wheelchair. "It took me a little bit to figure it out, but I watched some youtube tutorials and I think it should work." You ramble to Kate, who still have zero idea what you´re talking about.
"Close your eyes, please,"you instruct, and Kate, now used to your playful antics, complies with a smirk.
As she close her eyes shut, you push the wheelchair, outside. Little cold breeze hitting the both of you. You push her infront of the homemade ramp, you made couple nights ago, thanks to some random guy on YouTube.
"Alright, open your eyes," you announce, stepping back to reveal your creation.
Kate opens her eyes, and her gaze shifts from you to the makeshift ramp. A mixture of surprise and excitement lights up her face. "What's all this? You won´t push me off, right?" she asks, with a giggle.
"I thought we could use a change of scenery," you say with a grin.
"And since our favorite place is the rooftop, I figured, why not bring it to you?" You smile, being really pround of what you´ve build. Deep down still hoping it won´t break as soon as Kate´s wheelchair will go on it.
"You built this?" Kate's eyes widen with appreciation as she takes in the effort you've put into creating a way for her to join you on the rooftop. You just nod at her question.
"This is amazing," Kate says, her voice filled with gratitude. "To the roof and beyond!" If this wouldn´t be Kate, you would find this quote use very cheesy, but since it´s Kate, you had to let out a chuckle.
With careful precision, you guide Kate up the improvised ramp, ensuring her safety as she rides to the rooftop. Once you both reach the top, a breathtaking view of the city awaits, and the sounds of the party below are replaced by the serene hum of the night.
Seated together on the rooftop, surrounded by the city lights, you and Kate share a moment of quiet companionship. The homemade ramp, a symbol of your dedication and the uniqueness of your connection, becomes a testament to the lengths you're willing to go to make each other happy.
As you sit side by side, overlooking the cityscape, Kate breaks the silence with a sincere look in her eyes. "I'm sorry about not listening to you."
You meet her gaze, the connection between you deepening. "I'm sorry about being right about your boy," you say with a playful laugh. Kate chuckles. "Well, I think it's good to burst out the bubble. He's not my boy anymore."
"What?" The shock in your voice is palpable.
"Yeah. I broke up with him, and he replied with a thumbs up and a 'You weren't even worth it.' So…"
"Oh my god, Kate, I'm so sorry-" You instinctively reach for her hand.
"No, you're not," she interrupts with a reassuring smile.
"Not about him, but… you don't deserve that. Who does he think he is? Oh my god, I'll tell him-" Now it's Kate's turn to take your hand. "Okay, Rambo, calm down," Kate teases. "I'm fine, really. And he´s the one not worth it."
"So he wasn´t the chosen one?" You tease.
"Oh that´t a low blow, (Y/L/N)" She roll her eyes, but laugh along with you.
As the night unfolds, the atmosphere between you two is not just warm; it's a comforting embrace that you don´t want ever lose again, even if it means being just friends with the archer.
Thank you for reading!!!

--//--
It was Kate who told you about the new students.
It was Tuesday, and the school was full of burbs all over the hall. You were late and a little irritated because you had argued with your father on the way - Steve Rogers could be many things, and stubborn was most of them. - and so you weren't the least bit interested in the daily gossip that your colleagues might have.
Still, Kate was one of your favorite people and she was so sweet that you didn't have the heart to ignore her attempts to get close during her freshman year, and now, she was a sophomore and you were graduating, and even though you weren't in the same classes, you were inseparable.
"I hear they're the mayor's kids, and Y/N, you have to see, the two of them look like they stepped off a magazine cover." She excitedly narrates her encounter with the new students in the cafeteria. "If they weren't wearing their Avengers High uniforms, I would have mistaken them for models, I swear."
You chuckle, finishing picking up your books and closing your locker.
"Be careful not to drool too much, Bishop. Or your girlfriend will get jealous." You tease, but Kate doesn't laugh, assuming a momentarily fearful expression and looking around to see if Yelena wasn't somewhere listening in on the conversation.
The reaction only makes you laugh harder.
It takes three periods before you finally see the new students. By then, you have heard half the school talking about them, and you know they are twins, and yes, really the mayor's children because Darcy Lewis shows you a picture on her cell phone with the whole family landing in the local paper.
"They're cute, but it's no big deal." You mutter to Kate after looking at the photo, and she and Darcy share a nasal laugh.
"You'll change your mind when you see them in person." Your friend says, looking forward again because Professor Harkness has just entered the room.
Darcy puts her cell phone away, and you sigh, "I highly doubt it, I study with the most beautiful girls in the world, I'm not easy to impress. " You compliment them charmingly and Darcy and Kate laugh softly, rolling their eyes in good humor.
It's not a lie what you said, yet when between the penultimate and last period, a lost-looking girl bumps into you in the hallway, you are momentarily speechless at the greenish irises in front of you.
"Sorry, I didn't see you." She mutters in apology, stooping to grab the book she has knocked over and return it to you.
As you pick it up, you don't let go. "But I did see you. You're the new girl, right?"
She smiles in surprise, hugging her own notebook. "Yeah, that's me. I'm Wanda. We just moved here from New York-"
You raise a hand in the air and Wanda falls silent in confusion, but you smile gently.
"Why don't you tell me that, and whatever you want, over coffee?"
She blushes very hard, opening her mouth a few times before giving a shy laugh. "S-sure, I like coffee."
You move closer and take out the pen attached to her notebook. You take the cap off with your teeth, and Wanda watches the item with hot cheeks the entire time you are pulling out a sheet of paper and writing your number in her notebook.
As you return the pen, you smile at her. "Don't forget to text, I'm dying to know the end of your story." You tell her, offering a gentle nod before leaving.
Wanda sighs loudly, leaning her back on the lockers. A silly smile fills her face, and she stands for a good few minutes trying to understand what just happened and why her legs are so shaky.
–//–
You go out for coffee after class on Thursday, and for thirty whole minutes, you try not to stare at the legs exposed by her cheer skirt.
Wanda is so beautiful it hurts, and her near cluelessness only makes her more attractive.
You clear your throat quietly because she is a really very interesting person and you want to know more about her.
You learn that she was born in Sokovia - which explains her delightful accent that distracts you with every word - and that she moved to New York when her parents divorced. She is the younger twin, but not the sister, as her father has another girl named Lorna who is in middle school. It is also Wanda's first time attending school, and when she says this you widen your eyes slightly.
"Are you kidding me?" You question pushing the coffee creamer with your straw, she laughs lightly.
"No, I swear." She assures you humorously, mimicking your movements without realizing it in her own drink. "My dad is the overprotective type, and Pietro and I have been homeschooled all our lives. But it's senior year and somehow we managed to convince him that it was an important experience. Pietro wants a scholarship for athletics and I, well, I'd like to do cinema."
You smile. "So you like movies?"
Her face lights up even more. "I love movies! I know it's a very competitive industry, but my dream is to work as a film director! I love writing stories, and it would be so amazing to bring them to the screen and... I'm boring you, aren't I?" she interrupts, her cheeks a little red. "Sorry, I get too excited-"
"No, you're not." You interrupt her, "I like hearing you talk, go ahead."
Wanda blushes, even more, lowering her embarrassed gaze to her own lap before smiling shyly.
She tells you more about her dream of being a filmmaker, and about her family not liking the idea of her not pursuing a more secure career, and you make a point of encouraging her to do what she likes and not what others think is right, and Wanda is so flustered she hardly knows how to thank you.
You realize that it is getting late, and if you don't come back now, your father will probably find a new problem to discuss, so you tell Wanda that you have to go. She seems sad about this ending, and yet is still too shy to call you out on anything else. When she builds up the courage to do so, you think your heart won't hold out from all the cuteness.
"We could... I don't know, have tea? Or soda?" She invites clumsily, and you laugh softly just enough to make the redness of her cheeks worse.
Finishing putting on your jacket, you retort:
"I have a better idea, filmmaker girl. Want to go over to the house for Netflix&Chill?"
It's a test or a joke with real intent, and Wanda falls right in.
"Of course! I have like a dozen recommendations, and we could watch something by Kubrick or maybe Burton..."
You bite your lip, you're the one who fell. For her, and it was in the blink of an eye.
"Sure, Wanda, any movie you want." That's what you answer, deciding to keep the not going to be much-watching part to yourself.
–//–
Wanda lived on the edge of Westview, which meant that you could use the subway. But part of you wanted to impress her, so when Bucky let you use his motorcycle, you didn't miss your chance.
"Don't scratch it." He repeated the instructions, the key at face height. You raised your hand to take it, and he lifted the item a little further. "And what's our deal?"
You rolled your eyes. "Three hours out of the house for you to have a date night with my father. I could sue you for the trauma." You joked making him laugh before you managed to steal the key.
"Just text me when you're on your way. And please-"
"No scratches." You completed with an impatient sigh.
While your stepfather had his date night with your dad - whom you were avoiding as much as possible mainly because the deadline for sending admission letters was coming up and you had no idea what you were going to do and didn't want him pressing ideas on you - you made your way across town to see Wanda Maximoff and her stupidly adorable face.
Just as you imagined, she was excited by your arrival on the motorcycle, equally so from Pietro who started asking you questions as soon as you properly introduced yourself, but you noticed that Wanda's father was not too happy.
"You must be Y/N." He said as soon as Wanda guided you to the fancy balcony like all the rest of the house and the well-molded garden.
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Maximoff." You spoke, which made him chuckle slightly.
"Actually it's Lehnsherr, Maximoff is their mother's maiden name." He clarified, and you feigned interest, nodding softly.
"Papa, Y/N, and I are going to watch a movie in my room." Said the girl - She was wearing a long sweatshirt and shorts that disappeared with the garment covering it, and you were having a hard time trying to not imagine what it would be like to slide your hand under there.
Erik looked you up and down as if he could read all your naughty intentions at once.
"Open door always, Wanda." He warned with his arms crossed, and Wanda chuckled confusedly, pulling you by the hand toward her bedroom.
You heard Erik ask Pietro questions about you, but your gaze was more attentive to the movement of Wanda's hips leading upstairs.
"Your house is quite beautiful, Wanda." You comment once she leads you into the bedroom. "Not as beautiful as the owner, of course."
She giggles embarrassed at the compliment, and you take the opportunity to kick the door discreetly shut. "Come sit here, I've set everything up for us."
She did, you could see the laptop, the drinks, and the popcorn. A proper movie session with Wanda in her fancy room, and you sighed lightly as you took off your shoes and jacket to sit on the bed next to her.
"What movie did you pick for us, pretty girl?" Your compliments were visually making her flustered, but she still said nothing, adjusting herself on the bed to reach for her laptop. "I was thinking of watching some classic, so I've sorted out some options for us."
She showed you a list that made you smile warmly. All the movies were good, but none had what you wanted to do with Wanda.
"I have a better suggestion, and I'm sure you've never seen this one." You told her as you moved the laptop to your own lap to search. She tried to peek, and you pulled away with a laugh. "No peeking, it's a surprise."
She laughed, shaking her head but holding herself in place. " All right."
"You're Jewish, right?" Your question surprised her a little, but she murmured in agreement the next second. You noticed many things on the way to her room, including the Jewish items that filled the blanks in your head about what you knew about the girl next to you. "Another reason for you to love this movie."
"So mysterious." She murmured humorously getting a soft chuckle from you. Once you had chosen and the start credits began to roll, Wanda bit her lip curiously. "What's it about?"
You crossed your ankles together. "Temptation."
Wanda looked at you. "What?"
"Watch the movie, movie girl." You retorted amused and she chuckled softly before turning her attention back to the screen.
For the first few minutes of Disobedience, Wanda was a little upset. The story is sad in its complexity, and dealt with the fanatical religious obsession of a Jewish community and the harm to the protagonists' freedom. And at first, she didn't catch what the film was really about.
She thought it was sweet that you had brought a movie about her family's religion until the first kissing scene made her cheeks blush.
"Oh, they were a couple..." The words escape you before she can count them, and you lick your lips to contain your own anxiety.
"Do you have a problem with that?" Your whisper is curious in totality, and Wanda laughs in confusion, taking her gaze off the screen.
"What? No, of course not." She retorts, turning her attention back to the film. " They are sweet. I mean, the story is sad as hell, but they're sweet."
You smile, a relief filling your chest. You are about to make a comment when the door opens, and the moody figure of Erik appears.
"I told you I wanted the door open." He reminisces as Wanda pauses the movie.
"Sorry, papa, it must have closed with the wind." She half-heartedly clarifies, and you bite your tongue to hold back the impatient sigh of having your moment interrupted.
"I have a dinner with the Congress people now, I just came to say good night, dear. And please don't delay Miss Rogers' stay here too long, driving late at night is dangerous."
You are about to say you will go as soon as the movie is over when Wanda comments:
"She could sleep here." And Erik hesitates just as you do. Wanda swallows dryly. "If you want to, of course. What if it's okay with you, papa?"
You have trouble hiding your smile, and Erik looks ready to make up an excuse when his cell phone rings. He sighs impatiently.
"Sure, we have a guest room. Good night to you." He says before answering the phone and leaving the room, talking about work until his voice fades from the distance.
Wanda leaves the movie paused, a confused expression on her face.
"He's acting so weird. This bed is big enough, why would I put you on the other side of the house?"
You stare at her and give an impressed laugh when you realize that Wanda simply doesn't know why.
"Wanda, your father doesn't want me to sleep in the same bed as you."
She frowns in confusion, "Why?"
You tilt your head. "He thinks we're going to fu-"
"Hey, I'm going at Quill's, can you cover for me if Dad asks for me when he gets back from his fancy dinner?" Pietro interrupts your speech as he enters the room, already holding the keys to the white pickup truck you've seen him drive a few times to school. Wanda blinks away from your intense gaze, a bit flustered.
"S-sure, Pietro, good night." She says very quickly, and the other looks between you and her with a suggestive expression.
"You two behave yourselves, huh? Don't do anything I wouldn't do." He teases, and Wanda grimaces. You chuckle.
"Sure thing, mary jane." You retort without hesitation and Pietro stops smiling at that instant. Wanda doesn't understand and probably doesn't know that Pietro smokes pot behind the gyms, and so before she can question the nickname, Pietro is muttering goodbye as he leaves the room.
"What was that...?" She asks but you shake your head, giving the movie a play.
"Let's keep watching, it's getting to the best part." Wanda sighs a little as you adjust and stay close enough for her to smell your perfume completely, effectively taking all attention away from the movie.
But she had to pay attention when the first moans started. In an instant, her cheeks burned, and Wanda tried to look as cool about it as she could.
You were tapping your fingers on your stomach, completely at ease with the intimate scene playing out on the screen in front of you, and it is impossible for Wanda to do the same.
Once she shifts uncomfortably, and you notice her clenching her thighs, you sigh.
"How was your first kiss?" Your question almost makes her choke, but Wanda is thankful that at least she has an excuse to look away from the movie's sex scene.
"Hum, I've never..."
"Really?" You cut her off gently, adjusting your weight on her arm to face her, and Wanda feels very nervous about all the attention. She nods, and you smile. "It's really hard to believe you didn't have a line of suitors."
Wanda chuckles embarrassedly, shaking her head. "Well, I don't know many people, you know? It's not like I had classmates studying at home. And when I wasn't studying, I was at some officional event, being my dad's perfect little girl."
The hidden bitterness in her sentence made you raise an eyebrow softly, the interest burning in your mind.
"I know the feeling, my father is a military man and loves to keep up appearances." You say, quietly closing the laptop in Wanda's lap. "But unlike you, I do whatever it takes to annoy him."
"Very naughty of you." She mutters half breathlessly because you are leaning over her suddenly. But it's only to put the closed laptop on the nightstand, and once you notice the way Wanda is blushing and breathing out of rhythm, a smile forms on your face.
"Wanda, I would like to be your first kiss." You whisper to her, and instead of pulling away, you rest a hand on the side of her head. "If you want that of course."
She chokes softly but nods almost frantically. "Yeah... I'd like that."
"Let's start with lesson one then. Close your bedroom door." You guide low against her lips, using every mental control to pull yourself away from her. Wanda gasps, but quickly moves in shaky steps off the bed to the bedroom door, and you hide a smile as you tuck yourself into her bed.
She surprises you a little when with trembling fingers, she locks the door.
"Just... for precaution." She clarifies embarrassed about the look on your face, but you just shrug.
"I'm not complaining." You tease. "Come here."
Wanda swallows dryly and wastes no time in obeying, walking back to the bed. She sits down a little further in front of you, and you hold out your hand for her to take, and once she does, you pull her gently to sit on your lap.
Wanda is trembling with nervousness, and her skin is warm to the touch. You lick your lips, trying to control yourself and not grab her right there and kiss and fuck her until she can't remember her own name, and it takes a lot of willpower when she looks so good all over you.
"You've never really kissed anyone, not even a small peck?" You ask sweetly, bringing your hand to her cheek for her to look at you. When she denies it with her head, you move closer. "Give me a peck then." She does so on the spot, and it's quick as expected, but it turns her cheeks into tomatoes. You smile, "Again. Longer this time."
She sighs, but nods and breaks the distance, pressing her lips over yours.
Instead of letting go, you place your hand on her cheek and kiss her back firmly, eliciting a surprised and affected sigh in return. She opens her mouth to breathe, and you slide your tongue inside.
Wanda makes a noise with her throat, moving restlessly in your lap but you guide the kiss until she gets used to the sensation and soon her breathless sighs sound like gasping pleas, her hands move to your shoulders and she tries to deepen.
Everything in her body begs for more - more of your hands, squeezing her waist, more of your tongue sucking hers, and more of you, everywhere you can touch. She feels hot and bothered, and it is as new and fantastic as it is overwhelming.
You kiss her until she starts to move her hips impatiently against your thigh, and then you know you have to stop now or you won't be able to pull it off later. The way your heart speeds up when she looks at you with puffy lips and dark eyes once the kiss is over only confirms this.
"Is everything okay?" Wanda speaks first, her voice shaky and husky, her face inches from yours.
You take a deep breath, offering her a small smile.
"Sure, I should just go home." You say, and you are already moving her off of you in the next moment, missing the other's confused look.
Once you have your shoes on, Wanda can't contain her concern.
"I...I did it wrong didn't I?"
You frown, turning to her as you put on your jacket. Wanda looks down at her own lap.
"You didn't do anything wrong, Wanda." You tell her, moving closer again to the end of the bed. "Listen." You say gesturing to her ear, and she is confused for just a second.
Next, she can hear her father outside the house, car noises, and something that sounds like complaints about a canceled dinner.
She looks at you again, and you are already kneeling on the bed to reach for her face.
"I'm just trying to keep you out of trouble." You explain as you caress her cheek. "I can't risk you getting grounded in this fancy mansion when I want to keep taking you out."
Her gaze glows hopeful. "You do?"
You smile, leaning in to kiss her intensely for a moment. "Of course I do." You assure her once you break the kiss, your gaze darkening afterward. "And I also want to come to your room, lie on your bed, and elicit all the delicious sounds you make when I kiss you."
Wanda chokes softly, leaning in to break the distance again, but you haven't offered her more than a peck, earning a grumble in return. "When are you going to kiss me again? For real."
"When do you want to?" you challenge back, and despite the pink of your cheeks, Wanda doesn't hesitate.
"Now."
You chuckle, pulling away. You open the door just before Erik comes up the stairs, and he grimaces, but you are already leaving the room. Before you do, you turn and offer a wink to Wanda, who once she is left in the room alone, sinks her face into her pillows, trying to make her heart stop beating so fast.
–//–
You wanted to take things slow with Wanda because in your experience, too fast burns and wears out at the same speed.
It is, however, quite difficult to keep your eyes off her.
Especially when she looks so irresistible in her cheer uniform.
"You're drooling." Yelena sneers beside you under the bleachers as you both skip chemistry class so she can smoke away from any teacher's attention.
"I definitely am." You retort without any concern, your gaze focused on the brunette from meters away. Yelena laughs dryly, taking a long drag on her cigarette.
"When are you going to make it official?"
"Why, so we can end up like Nat and Carol, fighting about the damn weather." You retort half impatiently, and Yelena hesitates a moment. She puffs smoke before answering.
"Carol cheated on Nat." She declares, and you gasp in surprise, looking at your friend with wide eyes. She shrugs her shoulders. "It was with a girl from State, at last year's championship. Nat tried to forgive her, but it''s been the same since summer. They're not fighting because of the weather, they're fighting because they're lying to each other."
You bite your tongue, turning your gaze back to Wanda in the field. She looks beautiful and giggles excitedly with her teammates when she gets her steps right.
"That doesn't make me feel confident about your suggestion, Lena." You murmur to her, and Yelena laughs lightly, taking one last drag before throwing the cigarette on the ground.
"Not every relationship sucks, Y/N." She begins. "Not everyone gets divorced like your parents, and not everyone cheats like my sister's girlfriend. Just look at me and Kate. I fucking love her, and I can't wait for us to be living in the same apartment."
You smile small. "I never said I loved anyone."
Yelena rolls her eyes, laughing softly. "It's in your face. And look where you are, simping over her while skipping class instead of doing anything else."
It's your turn to roll your eyes, a soft pink filling your cheek at being caught. "Shut up or I'll tell Kate you're looking for a place without her help."
Yelena laughs, "And I'll tell Maximoff that you're a stalker."
You grunt impatiently, leaving muttering that the field is a free-for-all, and missing the way Wanda looks through the rails to where you were sitting before.
As the weeks went by, and with the clear yet casual involvement between you, it was obvious to everyone how much influence you had in each other's lives.
You started showing up to more classes, and Wanda stole your leather jacket for her and learned to say no to her father when you learned to show up at family dinners.
She borrowed your clothes with the excuse that they smelled like you, and you brought home her classic DVDs almost every weekend.
And there was also a matching set of hickeys on your necks.
"Wanda, your father looks ready to blow up this car." You reminded her with a breathless giggle against her lips - because she insisted that you kiss her properly - before you dropped her off at home. She grunted impatiently, grabbing your chin so that you would take your attention away from the man with his arms crossed in the driveway, and focus on the girl sitting in the car seat gifted by your father after you said you had sent admission letters to colleges not so far from Wanda.
"I want to ask you something." She says, kissing you again briefly. "Do you want to sleep over at my place this weekend?"
You hum, kissing her again before retorting, "Is it some special occasion?"
She smiles, shaking her head. "Just missing you. And... it's the race finals weekend, so Dad and Pietro are traveling and we'll have the house to ourselves."
You choke softly, caught by surprise that it is Wanda suggesting such a thing. But she seems genuinely naive about it, waiting for your response.
"Hmm, and what would we do with the house to ourselves...?" You tease, rubbing your nose against hers and Wanda chuckles shyly, one hand going up to your neck.
"I suppose whatever we want." She replies, and you smile before kissing her again, this time goodbye.
–//–
It seemed to take a lifetime, but the weekend finally arrived.
Wanda doesn't know why she was so nervous. You had been alone before, between classes, at movie screenings, at snack bars, or bowling alleys.
But then she remembered the feeling of your lips pressing against hers, the panting whispers that made her skin itch, and the way her knees gave way when your hands got bold and she guessed she knew very well why.
She prepares a typical movie session, all the food, and comfy pillows, and you praise her for her dedication before pressing her against the bedroom door.
Wanda loves those hungry kisses - they heat up her body like a furnace, and always leave her wanting more. And today you seem willing to give her as much as she needs.
Your mouth parted from hers only to trail along her jaw, marking your way down and Wanda already panting, threw her head back against the wood, shivering under your rough touch around her body.
"I drove all the way down here thinking about kissing you, princess." You confess huskily against her ear, and Wanda blushes heavily, a low moan escaping her throat. "You're making me crazy, Wanda. I can't stop thinking about you."
"I think about you too." She confesses equally affected, only to gasp when you press a knee between her legs and everything burns, and she can't control the sounds that escape from there, not when you move your hands to her waist and make her grind against your thigh next. "Oh. That feels so nice..." She whimpers overwhelmed by the sensations, and you gently bite the sensitive spot on her neck.
"If you want something, you're going to have to ask for it." You whisper, and Wanda moans in response, her nails digging into your arms.
"Please, Y/N. I just need...you to touch me." She tries with her cheeks burning as much as the rest of her body, her hips never failing against your thigh and making you shiver.
"I'm all over you, pretty girl." You tease back, meeting her gaze and swallowing Wanda's breathless moans with your mouth with each movement of her hips. "Unless you want me to touch you somewhere else..."
"You know I want to." She retorts naughtily, and to that, you bite her lip, a gentle tug that makes her choke on a moan.
"Don't be a smart-ass." You warn, sliding a hand to her thigh to pull it up, and the adjustment makes Wanda see stars. "You can't even tell me to fuck your pussy."
She whimpers at the teasing, closing her eyes and throwing her forehead against your shoulder. You laugh smugly as the wetness begins to stain your pants.
"Baby, please..." She whimpers again, urging her body against you. Her hips are out of rhythm, and the covered stimulation is delicious, but still not enough. She just needs some kind of push that you seem to know what it is and won't grant her.
Instead of answering her, you grab her neck and kiss her hard, adjusting your body to hers until Wanda feels a hardness and jerks up with a surprised, affected squeal.
"It's a gift that I bought especially for you. if you're ready for it, of course." You clarify breathlessly, and she nods immediately, interlacing her hands behind your neck. But you kiss her slowly now and move your other hand down to lift Wanda between the door and your lap so that she now grinds directly against the strap instead of your thigh. She gasps in a whimper, meeting your eyes again as you break the kiss. " Fuck, you're so close and I haven't even touched you yet."
You were absolutely right. The knot in Wanda's belly was ready to explode at any moment, and when you slid your hand down to open your zipper, and the fake cock slipped out, the new pressure made Wanda growl hornily, her eyes rolling to the back of her head.
You didn't penetrate her, letting her grind her covered intimacy against the toy until the moisture was enough to wet it. By now Wanda was jerking, holding you by the shoulders as you moved your hips against her. The strap pressed against her clit, sliding in a torturous back and forth over her covered pussy, and you seemed to be having the time of your life driving her to the brink of insanity with that tease.
"Y/N-fuck-I want-need it... inside-ah" She tried, delirious with anticipation, ever so close, and you panted softly in her ear.
"I love it when you cuss, it's so hot." You praise, slowing down and making Wanda moan loudly, her clit throbbing. "If you can ask me what you want, I'll do it."
Wanda whimpers affectedly, her cheeks blushing again. She is almost building up courage when you curse in her ear trapped in your own pleasure, and she is cumming instead of saying anything.
It is an overwhelming pleasure, almost terrifying her. She grabs you to keep from falling to the floor, dripping onto her panties. You grunt as you realize what has just happened and only give Wanda time to stop shaking before you get down on your knees.
"Babe, what are you...?" She falls silent as she chokes on her own breath, throwing her head back hard as her hips try to escape from your hands that hold her just for that. You press your nose against her covered intimacy, sniffing with a loud groan as Wanda whimpers. You don't give her time to complain before you move a hand to push the fabric away and sink your tongue into her.
Wanda practically screams, and you groan as you taste her. You fuck her messily, hungrily as you take your tongue between the folds of her pussy, pushing deep and then shallow to make her twitch, and when you suck on her clit she brings a hand to her hair.
"Oh-OH-blyat', tak khorosho!" Wanda gasps, and you groan as you hear her cursing in another language. It just encourages you to keep going, and this time, you won't stop until you get it out of her again.
It didn't take long - Wanda was sensitive and you only had to slide your tongue inside and suck her clit a few times for her to spill into your mouth with a long moan, her nails digging into your scalp. You moaned too, delighting in her taste and licking her clean before making your way up again.
"That was..." She tries breathlessly, her eyes lazy, and you smile, kissing her and making her grunt for her own taste before turning into a surprised yelp when you take her by the thighs and lift her onto your lap.
"We're not done, pretty girl." You clarify between kisses on the way to the bed. When you place Wanda on the mattress, her hair spreads across the pillow and she stares at you with dark eyes, her chest heaving. You pause, momentarily speechless as you realize how much you care for her.
"Everything okay?" She asks at your hesitation, and you smile immediately, nodding and moving closer to kiss her with intensity. Wanda melts, trying to pull you up but you gently push her by the shoulders.
She thinks to question, but your hand traces its way between her thighs and any question becomes an affected whimper.
"The toy is small, but I still need to stretch you with my fingers." You whisper with a naturalness that doesn't match the way Wanda blushes heavily. She merely nods, shivering under your fingers scratching and teasing around the inner part of her thighs. "You'll tell me if it hurts, won't you, pretty girl?"
She nods frantically, choking softly. "Y-yes, but please, just..." The teasing was driving her insane, your fingers only touching around, never where she desperately needed it. "Please, Y/N, touch me."
You shushed her gently, kissing the corner of her mouth and then her jaw, and when you got to her neck and started sucking on the sensitive spots that made her squirm on the bed, your fingers find her intimacy and penetrated her.
Wanda whimpered, closing her eyes tightly to the invasion. One at first, and then you slid out, and when you came back, two sank into her and she bit your shoulder.
"Tell me when you're ready." You whispered into her neck, moving your thumb to stimulate her clitoris, and Wanda throbbed beneath you. After two orgasms, she was really quite sensitive, but that only made it better. "Wands?"
She sighed, opening her eyes to find your worried ones. Instead of answering, she brought one hand to your cheek and another to the wrist connected between you. She brought your lips together at the same time she moved her hips, and you took the cue, sliding your fingers out and then in to find a rhythm.
Wanda whimpered once you got it, with each thrust she gasped at the kiss becoming harder to return, but once you felt her close again, you stopped.
She grunted confused and annoyed, but you adjusted before she could say anything, and any complaint broke down into an affected moan as you lined up the strap on her and sank in at once.
"Ah, I knew you could take it, pretty girl." You praised her, in a slow rhythm against her as Wanda squirmed and dug her nails into your back, desperate for more. "Damn, you look so beautiful now."
Wanda's moans mingled with the sounds of the thrusts inside her, the wetness of her pussy creating a delicious friction. You firmed your hands on her waist, pushing deeper, and she arched her back, ready to fall over the edge. You fell over her, hugging her and kissing the skin of her exposed collarbone, and Wanda whimpered, moaning under you.
She let out a little squeal, and her body tensed and you gasped against her neck as you came too, your juices mixing and dripping down her thighs.
You stood there for a moment, just breathing against each other as you calmed from your climax, and you smiled as you felt Wanda draw patterns on your back.
Unhurriedly, you moved off her, biting your lips at the image of the soaked toy and the sigh that left her lips as she felt empty before you pulled away.
Wanda looks at you expectantly at once, missing your body on top of her.
"Where are you going?" She asks in a half-hoarse voice, but you smile, now standing in front of the bed, you begin to remove your pants.
"You came three times and we didn't even get to take our clothes off. I'm kind of impressed."  You humorously clarify, and Wanda giggles shyly, biting her lips as you take off your clothes in front of her. "How would you like to take a shower with me? And then, lend me something comfy so we can watch the movie you've picked up?"
She finds it incredible, honestly, but once you are completely naked in front of her, Wanda can only sigh and move closer again. She brings a hand to your neck and kisses you hard.
"Later. Now, I want you to do that thing with your tongue again." She asks with a sigh and well, it's not like you're going to complain.
–//–
You awoke to rays of sunlight on your face and a warm feeling on the tip of your stomach.
"Wands...oh...don't stop that." Your natural instinct was to call out to her, but it turned into something like a moan and a sigh as you felt the pleasure electrify your whole body at once. Wanda smiled against you, looking up at you as her hands held your thighs open for her. You squirmed on the mattress, barely finding time to grab her hair before you cum hard on her tongue. "Fuck, baby, that was amazing."
She giggles softly against you, kissing your thighs before moving up your body until she finds your mouth again. It takes a moment for you to recover from the orgasm and wake up properly, but when you do, your hands go around her and you spin Wanda around on the bed, getting on top quickly as she smiles.
"You're a fast learner." You comment against her jaw, tracing kisses downward. "I don't think I've ever cum so fast before..."
But suddenly, Wanda tenses and your hand guides your face back to her.
"I don't want to think about it." She says almost irritated, and you frown in confusion, "You with other people."
A smile breaks on your lips. " Hmm, is that right?"
But Wanda doesn't smile, sliding her legs between yours to switch positions and push you on your back on the bed, straddling your lap the next minute. Her hands at the side of your head, and her hair makes a curtain between your faces.
"I want you to be mine, Y/N. As I am yours." She whispers hoarsely, her gaze intense on yours. You blink impressed but are smiling.
"And who says I'm not already?" You challenge back, moving your hands to her hips and enjoying the feel of her intimacy against your thigh. Her breasts look incredible like this too, covered only by the half-open shirt of yours that she must have stolen during the night.
Wanda studies your face as she risks, "You never made us official, I thought..."
You bring a hand to her cheek as she lowers her head in shame. "Wands, and who says labels are the only thing that makes us official?"
Wanda shrugs, looking away, "I don't know, it's just that the cheer girls have their partners, and they're always talking about going to college together or buying apartments and-"
You straighten up, sitting up and pulling her closer.
"We'll do all that if that's what you want." You tell her with sincerity. "We'll go to NYU together, and rent an apartment. And I'll buy you a shiny ring so everyone will know we're together."
Wanda smiles, blushing as she wraps her arms around you.
"But what do you want?"
You smile warmly, brushing your nose against hers. "Sweetheart, I just want you." You retort caressing her skin. "I don't care about social norms, I just want to be able to kiss and wake up with you every day. If you want a ring, let's buy a ring. If you want to meet me in secret so as not to upset your father, I'll accept that too."
Wanda chuckles softly, pecking your jaw and then your lips.
"There's no way I'm keeping you a secret, you're the best thing that ever happened to me." She confesses and you kiss her, again and again until she starts to heat up on you, breathless whispers leaving her lips with each kiss.
"You're the best thing that ever happened to me too, Wands." You retort to her before deepening the next kiss, and this time, you don't stop.

April Fools - Kate Bishop
Pairings: Kate Bishop x Fem! reader.
Warnings: Fluff, romantic comedy, cuteness overload because I miss Kate, reader is Spider-Girl.
Word count: 1765.
Tumblr media
Kate looks up from her place on the couch to see Y/n in the kitchen with Yelena teaching the blonde how to make her favorite dessert, Brazilian brigadeiro, after they made the whole dinner by themselves. Both were entertained as Y/n made little balls of chocolate and rolled on the sprinkles, completely unaware that Kate is observing Y/n’s every move.
“You look like a stalker,” Clint said next to her, making her, reluctantly, look at him with a questioning look. “Have you ever realized how much you stare Y/n? Every time move she makes is caught because you look at her like a motion detection camera.”
Kate opens her mouth to say something, but it closes quickly. There is nothing she can tell Clint to get out of this position, he caught her, and both know it. The raise of his eyebrow is enough evidence.
“Don’t you think it would be easier if you just talked to her?” He continues to question.
“She is my best friend, Clint.” Kate sighs, looking over her shoulder and seeing Y/n hand Yelena one small chocolate ball, the blonde caught it looking for a few seconds as if inspecting. “I don’t want to ruin our friendship, it’s better if we stay like this.”
“I think that’s stupid.” He bluntly says, shaking his head and sighing. “And you’ll just keep looking at her like a puppy waiting for an owner?”
“Yes.” She said without thinking much, before turning to him quickly. “Wait, that’s rude!”
“It’s the truth.”
“Oh, this is good!” Yelena says in the kitchen, and Kate looks back at them. Yelena has her eyes wide, one hand holding Y/n’s forearm and the other throwing the rest of the chocolate in her mouth. “This is very very good.”
“Right? Now you understand why it’s my favorite.” Y/n replies with a cute small laugh that makes Kate look at her yearning. “Now c’mon, help me make the rest.”
“She will find out, you’re very bad at hiding.” Clint was vocal again, but this time he was getting up, about to stop the commotion in the kitchen due to Yelena making another brigadeiro just to throw in her mouth. “Hey, get out of there, Yelena.”
“Shut up, these are made to be eaten.” Yelena narrows her eyes at him, challenging him.
“Go sit with Kate, Yelena, I will make some extra for you.” Y/n sighs as she points to the living room. “But only if you sit there and don’t steal more brigadeiros.”
“Fine.” She fake complains and gives Clint a hard stare as if saying ‘don’t you dare eat my damn chocolate’.
“Can you make little balls for me, Clint? I’ll make more for Yelena before she kills someone because of chocolate.” Y/n asks before showing Clint what needs to be done.
“Smart girl, I would not hesitate,” Yelena replies as she sits on the couch where the older archer had been before. “You were staring like a creep, Kate Bishop.”
Kate almost chokes on her saliva as she hears it. Not only her mentor, and best friend, had noticed, but now Yelena had noticed too. And maybe Clint was right, it wouldn’t be long until Y/n realizes as well.
Okay, she was a bit slower at noticing romantic advances and Kate would often give really good excuses for her staring, but she wasn’t stupid.
“Is it that obvious?” Kate asks and Yelena nods with a funny face.
“Maybe not to her yet, but she is a superhero. Quick thinking and all of that.”
“Goddamn it!” Kate complains putting her hands on her face with a sigh. “I’m doomed, Yelena.”
“Tomorrow is that day,” Yelena says, trying to remember. “April Fools, use that!”
Kate looks at Yelena clearly confused.
“Do I have to do everything? A prank, that is not a prank.” She rolls her eyes at Kate. “Jesus, Kate Bishop, love made you slow.”
“I’m both offended and grateful.” Kate said as she shook her head.
As the archer leaned her back into the sofa thinking about what she would do tomorrow. Yelena was right, she could use this opportunity to put up to test the strong chemistry between them, but Y/n didn’t make it much clear if she actually felt something romantic for Kate or just as a friend.
Yelena had left Kate’s apartment late at night, Clint went to sleep on Kate’s bed while Kate and Y/n had left early to go to her apartment. Y/n had inconveniently forgotten her Spider-Girl suit charging and the other one was still drying from when she accidentally fell at the lake. But it allowed Clint to have a better night’s rest with Lucky and no unstoppable laughs coming from the girls.
Kate woke up in the morning confused as to why Y/n was screaming her name in desperation, she sat up trying to open her eyes and focus on her distressed best friend.
“I’m up, what’s going on?” Kate asked shoving the covers to the side and getting up, almost falling in the process, vision still blurred.
“I lost my powers!” Y/n said and to make her point she tried to shoot a web and miserably failed.
“What?!”
“Exactly!” Y/n ran her hands through her hair, which was very disheveled. “I have no idea why this is happening, oh my god.”
Kate is still trying to process as she gets close and puts a hand on Y/n’s shoulder. “Is there something stressing you up? We will get to the bottom of this!”
“I mean, yes… My ex texted me saying they want us to get back.” Y/n sighed as she revealed.
“That little shit-“ Kate breathes in angrily. “I have excellent aim Y/n; I will shoot them!”
“Kate, there’s no-“ Y/n interrupts herself and scrunches her nose up, her mouth opening as she is clearly about to sneeze. “A-a-atchoo!”
Y/n sneezes and Kate’s face is suddenly full of webbing. Her best friend laughs out loud, helping to take out all the webbing covering her eyes, nose and mouth.
“Oops, I think it was webbing constipation.” Y/n defends herself poorly. “April fools!”
“Oh, you-!” Kate says as both manage to take the web out of her face, and she goes to the bathroom to take out the rest and brush her teeth, ignoring how Y/n’s cute smile released the whole zoo inside her stomach.
“Sorry, I couldn’t resist!” Y/n defends herself, leaning on the door. “You always do something, so I wanted to get you first!”
Kate silently brushes her teeth taking the rest of the web and Y/n helps clean her hair. Kate finishes brushing her teeth and suddenly pulls the other close, pressing the spiderling against the sink, one hand on each side of the woman. Y/n’s demeanor changes immediately, eyes widening, breath hitching, cheeks burning crimson and making it very visible to the archer her frustration.
“You shouldn’t play with me like that, Y/n.” Kate says slowly, and Y/n visibly gulps looking deep into her dark blue eyes.
Kate’s fall comes quickly after that, Y/n forcefully changes their places and now the archer was the one being pressed against the sink, eyes wide in surprise at the overconfident way her best friend had done that.
“You accepted that the day you turned into my best friend, Bishop, you were very aware and if anything you think I'm funny as hell.”
Kate gulped, before blurting out. “I like you.” Y/n rolled her eyes as the other one added. “Romantically.”
“Haha, Kate, I already know it’s April Fools.” The spiderling answers, shaking her head. “C’mon I thought you could be more original.”
“I am being original; this is reverse April Fools.” Kate defended herself. “I’m telling the truth instead.”
“Yeah, yeah.” Y/n still didn’t believe her as she pulled away.
Kate then put both hands on the sides of Y/n’s face and pulled her in for a long peck. She felt Y/n get rigid, then sigh slightly as she relaxed, however as if a sudden bucket of cold water was thrown in her head, she gently pushed Kate back.
“Katherine!” She said with wide eyes and crimson cheeks.
“I am being serious now; I didn’t know how to tell you and Yelena suggested doing a prank that was real.” The archer started to talk, looking away a bit embarrassed. “I was planning on a more elaborate prank to see if you felt something for me too, but… I kind of lost my cool.”
“I…“ Y/n was speechless, finally downing on her what was happening.
“I am in love with you, reverse April fools!” Kate sings shaking her hands a bit as silence fills the room.
The other woman suddenly scoffs, shaking her head as she clearly cannot believe her ears. But it’s Kate that is shocked when she speaks again.
“It fucking took you long enough, Kate, seriously. Yelena had to suggest that? Jeez.” Y/n rolls her eyes as she gets closer and kisses Kate’s cheek. “I’m also in love with you, idiot.”
“I swear to god if you’re playing me right now-“ Kate narrows her eyes, getting distrustful.
“I will kiss you to prove it.” Y/n shrugged.
“A real one, no bromancing!” The archer raises an eyebrow, defying Y/n to do that. “Bromance without the bro.”
“…Mance?” Y/n asks in confusion.
“I meant romance actually.” Kate corrects herself, sheepishly.
“I think you should stop talking.” Y/n laughs as she shakes her head.
“I am trying to, but you’re taking too long to kiss me!” The other one defends herself yet again.
Y/n makes the last step and kisses Kate, first a long peck, but then both deepened the kiss putting all their bottled-up feelings into it. When they separated, breathing hard, both laughed.
“Okay, this really isn’t a prank.” Kate said, breathless as she looked lovingly into Y/n’s eyes.
“I’m not sure yet, I think you need to keep kissing me to try and convince me.” Y/n says, clearly not meaning it, but making more excuses to kiss Kate.
“Oh, how dreadful.” Kate replies, smiling. "Normally I'd say you need to put more trust in me but... I don't know, we need to really make sure this isn't a prank."
She had to remember to thank Yelena later, maybe pamper the shit out of her with some brigadeiros and spicy food as a thank you. She would definitely be happy with that.
In the meanwhile, Kate would take her time kissing her best friend, current lover, and future girlfriend. They obviously needed to make sure it wasn’t a prank (an excuse they would use even in the future).

The Sweetest Treat
Kate Bishop x Female Reader
Kate invites the Barton’s to New York for Halloween and you spend the night watching her shine with happiness
Note: Woohoo flufftober! Here’s another soft one!
Flufftober Masterlist, Main Masterlist
When Kate said that her Avenger friend, Hawkeye, was going to bring his kids to New York for Halloween, you weren’t sure what to expect.
She had only just started dating you when she met Clint and all of her life began to change. It wasn’t easy on her to lose her mother to prison, but her relationship with Clint and his wife helped her feel better.
You just know that you’re grateful to them and can’t wait to meet them today. Kate has her apartment decorated for the holiday and is practically bouncing off the walls excited for them to arrive.
“Do you think we bought enough candy?” Kate asks as she waits by the door.
“I think we have enough for all of New York,” you joke. She nods seriously. “Kate, baby, don’t worry. There’s plenty for Clint’s kids and plenty for trick or treaters.”
“You’re right,” Kate says. “I just want to make sure they’re happy. I had a great time meeting them at Christmas, but what if things aren’t as good this time?”
“It’s going to be amazing, Kate Bishop. You’re amazing and there’s nothing that’s gonna change that,” you encourage her.
She smiles and hugs you. Your head falls perfectly against her chest as you soak up the warm affection.
“I love you. Did you know that?” Kate asks.
“Mhm, I sure did. I love you too,” you say.
You stay in each others arms until you’re interrupted by a knock on the door. Kate opens the door.
The youngest kid practically barges in before he’s held back by his mother.
“Hi everyone,” Kate says, her smile beaming. “Come on in.”
“Thank you, Kate,” Laura says. You recognize her from photos that Kate brought home after Christmas. She hugs Kate and looks to you. “And you must be, y/n.”
“Yes ma’am,” you say. “It’s nice to meet you.”
“You too,” Laura says. Her attention is stolen by her young son running around the apartment already. “Excuse me.”
“Hey Kate,” Clint greets her now. He looks at her almost softly. You know she values his place in her life.
“Hawkeye,” she greets him with a laugh that he shares.
“Lila’s been excited to see you again,” Clint says quietly so only you and Kate and can hear him. “She thinks you’re cool. Her words, not mine.”
Kate’s eyes shine at his words. You can already see the impact this family has on her.
Lila and Cooper had made themselves comfortable on the couch. Kate leads you over to the teenagers.
“Hey guys,” Kate says. “This is my girlfriend, y/n. Y/n, this is Cooper and Lila.”
“Hey, nice to meet you both!” You say. “Kate told me all about the card games y’all played at Christmas. If we ever play, just know you’re all going down.”
“We’ll see about that,” Lila says. You like her already.
“What have you been up to?” Kate asks Lila.
They catch up on life and you love watching them interact. Kate seems lighter already. A few hours pass and it’s time for the kids to get ready to go trick or treating.
Nate is dressed up and so is Cooper. He doesn’t seem like he wanted to but his little brother wanted to wear matching costumes.
“Do I have to go?” Lila asks her parents. She’s not wearing a costume, but they still want her to go walk around with them.
“She can stay with us,” Kate jumps in. “We’re going to pass out candy.”
“Please Mom, can I?” Lila pleads.
“Alright,” Laura agrees. “Be good.”
“I’m always good,” Lila says.
“I know,” her mom says. “All three of you be good.”
You all nod and see the rest of the Barton’s out of the apartment. Kate turns on a fun Halloween playlist and you give out candy as the trick or treaters come. You love watching her interact with the kids. She always compliments their costumes.
The night is winding down and Kate is giving out candy to the last few kids in the building. You sit on the couch and sip on a warm apple cider.
“Can I ask you something?” Lila suddenly turns to you and asks.
“Sure,” you say, sitting upright a bit more. Her tone seems serious.
“How did you know you were in love with Kate?” Lila asks. She looks away like she’s scared of the answer.
“Oh, well it was a really interesting sensation. I just kind of looked at her one day and I thought yeah I love this girl,” you say. “It wasn’t some epiphany as much as it was just something that felt right.”
Lila nods and her eyes tell you she wants to say more.
“Why do you ask?” You press.
“No reason,” she shrugs. “I just- I might be at that point with someone and I was just curious.”
“Ah, I see,” you say. The girl smiles nervously. “Follow your heart, Lila. And you just might find that it leads you to the place you’ve always belonged.”
“Thank you, y/n,” Lila says. She hugs you.
“Of course,” you reply, hugging her back.
“Aw man,” you hear Kate’s voice. “I’m going to replaced by you now.”
“No one could ever replace you Kate,” Lila says. Kate sits next to her on the couch and wraps her arm around her shoulder. “Y/n is cool though.”
“Isn’t she?” Kate asks. “I got the best treat of all.”
“You’re an absolute cheeseball,” you tease her.
Kate smiles softly. You end up turning on a movie and relaxing until the rest of the Barton’s get back to the apartment. You enjoy hearing about Nate’s night.
Kate lays down with you that night so content that it makes you emotional. You kiss her softly and fall into a deep sleep.
She’s the sweetest treat indeed.

Greedy 🏹
passenger princess kate
w/c: 885
pairing: kate bishop x f!reader
tags: 18+ smut. teasing, sassy & impatient kate, fingering, kinda voyuerism
——
"Isn't it funny with how differently we're dressed and the one between us that looks like she should be able to drive, can't." You joke looking over at Kate as you drive to the mall.
"No I don't actually." She says and pretends to look annoyed.
You were dressed more feminine-like while Kate wore more masculine clothes. And you've found this little fact a bit funny especially when she first asked you out on a date but couldn't pick you up because she couldn't drive to your house.
She somehow made it to your house but she never revealed how.
That didn't matter but what did matter was the way Kate was manspreading on your passenger seat.
How she managed to look so hot on the passenger seat is beyond you but you were so happy to have such a fine ass girlfriend.
You then came up with a silly little idea and decided to go for it. You continue driving as normal, looking straight at the road and move your right hand off the steering wheel and lean over to put it on Kate's thigh.
Your left hand it on the middle of the steering wheel, keeping you straight, meanwhile your right gently squeezes her left thigh. She shifts in her seat and you kept a poker face for the most part.
Unfortunately she was wearing pants, and a whole ass jacket but that could be a very easy fix.
If she really wanted to that is....
You trail your fingers along her thigh, softly from the middle and then towards the inner thigh until she's full on squirming. You bite your lip and look at your peripheral to see her little reactions.
She was biting her lip and already breathing heavily. You'd only just started too.
Well you might as well go big.
"Spread your legs for me Katie." You asked sweetly finally stopping at a red light and she does without a second thought.
"You're fucking crazy." She mutters under her breath and you just shrug, turning to her to give her a grin.
"You love it." You say and move your hand to rub her pussy over her pants.
She gasps and bucks her hips up making you chuckle, "needy much?"
"Shut up." She groans and you continue rubbing her, now a little faster so she can feel some tension.
She then moans and grabs your arm, pulling it down even more. You rub a little hard and go up to rub her clit because you have a feeling it'll feel good.
She moans louder and bucks her hips up making you chuckle, "feel good?"
She doesn't answer and instead grinds on your fingers. You pull away making her pout before trying to undo her pants but unable to do it. The light turns green and you start driving again.
Kate unbuttons her pants then unzips them and for good measure lifts her jacket up so it wouldn't be in the way. Then also pulled her pants down a little.
"That was fast..." you tease and she groans before grabbing your hand and leading you towards her pussy.
"So needy." You mumble and already feel her wetness seep through her boxers.
She bucks her hips up again for more friction making a smirk appear on your lips. "And greedy."
She groans and you tut, shaking your head before moving your hand and finding the convenient hole. Your fingers move through the fabric before finally your fingers rub against her drenched folds. "Holy fuck." You moan and sneak a glance at her when luckily the light turned red.
"Baby you're so fucking wet." You mutter and collect all her wetness with the tips of your fingers before going up and rubbing her clit in slow circles.
"You tease-" she whines and you nod.
"Not nice to be on the other foot now huh?" You tease and she sighs.
But you felt nice and decided to no longer tease and go down to her entrance and only tease it for a solid two fingers before slowly slipping two fingers in. "How's that baby?" You ask looking at her for a second before looking back at the road.
"Oh fuck-" she moans and you could feel her clench against your digits.
"Oh my god just like that." She moans and you continue your same pace, not too fast or slow.
Then another idea occurred and right as the red light hit you slowed down. She whined and you smiled, "gotta be patient baby, the lights red."
"Fuck the lights just please fuck me." She pleads and you turn to her, shaking your head.
"Don't think so Katie." You say and give her a fake frown making her whimper.
You slipped your fingers deep inside and just kept them there, feeling her clench every few seconds.
Then the light turned green and without a second thought you started fucking her harder and faster. "SHIT!" She cried out and laid her head back against her headrest.
"Fuck-! Fuck yes please." She moans out and out of your peripheral can see she closed her eyes.
She looked so fucking gorgeous.
The sound of her sopping pussy filled the car and she started shaking. "I'm gonna-"
"Cum for me pretty baby." You coo and she does, hard.

this is so cuteeee ahhh
love the flerkens with all my heart so i'm so excited to write this <3
it'll actually be the first carol oneshot i've posted!! (despite writing hundreds and hating all of them lol) so thank you for requesting bestie <3333
sorry it took so long but here you go :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: Carol Danvers x gn reader
summary: taking care of baby flerkens is scary. That's for sure. But would such a positive outcome of getting a date with a pretty superhero be enough to make you stay?
a/n: love the ask, hate my writing. just like always.
carol is wifey tho so we chill.
Tumblr media
You wouldn’t exactly say your job is superhero important, but taking care of thirty kittens who can open up their mouths and swallow you whole at any second has its own set of risks.
It started with you going to visit the vet place you used to work at as a doctor before leaving to pursue other interests. You’re still close friends with the rest of the vet’s there, so you go and visit when you have time. While you were there, your friend Maggie had been telling you about some girl that came in with thirty cats, which surprisingly, has been seen before. That wasn't why this lady was remembered in the office so well. It was because the kittens kept eating workers, just to spit them back up perfectly fine- well maybe a little bit covered in saliva- about an hour later.
When Maggie described the woman, an older blonde woman that had manners, was accompanied by two young girls that wouldn't stop getting on her nerves, and had fists that glowed when one of the girls accidentally ate a dog treat that was shaped like a cupcake. The woman's name was Carol Danvers- a superhero you and millions of other people were familiar with- and her friends, Kamala Khan and Kate Bishop.
Fun day for the office, and you could only say you wish you’d been there to see it. The smirk on your friend's face was one you see quite often, one she only has when she’s planning something.
So that day, you left the vet building with a piece of paper in hand, one that had a messily scribbled out phone number. Carol’s number. She’s looking for someone to take care of the flerken kittens while she's at work, and she was so happy to hear back from someone that she hired you without even asking to see your credentials.
That's how you find yourself here, chasing around one of the kittens with a treat in hand. Kamala, the sweetest angel, was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and now she’s in the wrong place. I.E, one of the kittens' stomachs. As Carol explained it, whatever goes in their mouths aren't technically in their stomachs, just in a pocket of time and space that starts in their stomachs. At least, that's what you thought she said. You were too busy watching the way her arm muscles flexed in the tank top she was wearing while she was hammering a nail to connect parts of the giant bed she’s building for the kittens.
Suddenly, as you get into the kitchen with the cat still several feet in front of you, somebody chuckles and leans down to catch the meowing animal before it can escape again. It’s Carol, dressed in her usual attire of slightly baggy jeans, an old band t-shirt and converse.
She holds the cat up but it’s armpits, facing him away from her and in the opposite direction of you before she says, “give her back.” That’s all it takes, and then the kitten opens it’s mouth and spits out Kamala.
You’re barely paying attention to the girl gasping for air on the floor though, instead you’re watching Carol's cute smile as she nuzzles the cat and then sets him back on the ground. “How’ you do that?” You start, trying to get your breathing back to normal. “I’ve been trying to catch him for like an hour.”
“Yeah, that was a really long time!” Kamala chimes in, but neither you nor Carol are listening.
“I learned from Goose that if you show disappointment in your voice, they’ll let ‘em go. Weird, but effective.” The blonde says before she goes back to cooking. “I’m making lunch. You want some, honey?
You find yourself turning crimson at the nickname, about to say no thank you before suddenly Carol is speaking again, panic in her voice. “I mean do you want honey! In the tea! That I haven’t made yet. Not you honey! This honey!” She holds up a honey container shaped like a bear to prove her point.
Kamala smirks, awkwardly winking at Carol and mouthing the word, “Smooth!” before the superhero finally just shoves her out of the room.
You sigh, nodding your head before grabbing the baby flerken and making your way out of the room. It’s obvious she doesn’t feel the same way and you shouldn’t be surprised. Why would a superhero like her fall for…you?
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
Carol Danvers is madly in love with you.
You don’t know that, of course. But she is.
It’s why she’s here, panicking in the kitchen after accidentally calling you a nickname. Someone snickers behind her, and without missing a beat, she throws a rag towards Kamala’s head. “Shut up. That sucked! What is wrong with me? The blonde pleads, and Kamala’s eyes soften even though her tone is still teasing as she says in a sing-songy voice, “You like them.”
“No shit sherlock. Of course I like them. Have you seen their smile? And the little laugh they do whenever one of the flerkens eat something? Or-”
She’s cut off by Kate barling into the kitchen, Goose in her arms and training suit on. “What’s going on?”
“Carol’s telling us about her crush on the flerkins caretaker.”
“Ooooo! Are you gonna ask them out?”
“Can you two shut up?”
“No. I totally ship you guys!”
“Fine. How about this, if you don’t shut up and let me handle this, I’ll make you do 48 extra hours of training over the course of the next two weeks. That's almost two extra hours a day.”
They shut up.
It’s not like she doesn’t want to go out with you. That would be amazing. But she hasn’t had a relationship in years. Well, there was that little situationship with Valkyrie but we don’t talk about that!
Point is, she doesn’t know all the proper dating etiquette nowadays. Should she take you to dinner and a movie? Ask your kin if it’s okay? Recite poetry?
The two younger girls notice her spiral as she leaves the kitchen, making them feel sorry for their friend. “Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” Kate asks with a smile.
Kamala is silent for a minute before she says, “We should go to the store and get Goose to steal ice cream sandwiches for us because we’re poor?”
“Later. Right now, I think we need to help Carol get a date.”
“I don’t know about this Kate. It’s clear she doesn’t want our help.”
“Wow. Since when did Kamala Khan not want to meddle? It’s like your favorite activity.”
The young girl sighs, petting Goose before she says, “You’re right. Carol needs our help and it’s going to take serious meddling.”
So, with that idea in mind, they come up with a plan. As superheroes, their main job is keeping people out of danger. It’s what Carol also does on a daily basis. If they can put you in a dangerous situation, Carol can swoop in and save you.
It’s why they went to the store and got 2 pounds of butter, melting it over the stove before dumping it all over the living room floor.
Just because they’re superheroes doesn’t mean they’re smart.
Then, they hide behind the kitchen counter, heads peeking over the side that makes it obvious it’s them.
You open the front door, back from your lunch as you call out for the baby flerkens. You stop in your tracks when you see the butter, eyes darting around the house as you call out, “Carol?”
She comes running in, successfully slipping in the butter before you can catch her. Kamala and Kate gasp from their hiding spot, hiding their heads again when Carol narrows her eyes towards them.
“Are you okay? Do you need help?” You say, but she just shakes her head with a grimace. “No. I’m fine. Go on. The kittens are in my room.” With a hesitant nod, you walk around the pool of butter with your crush smack dab in the middle of it, then into the hallway and towards her room.
Carol takes a deep breath while closing her eyes, deciding to lay in shame and butter. Kamala and Kate quietly get up from their hiding spot, taking her moment of silence to escape this situation. “Three hours of extra stealth training tomorrow. A punishment for this and because I don’t know how the hell you two become superheroes. And please….for the love of god….clean up the fucking butter.” The blonde mumbles with her eyes closed, the younger girls grabbing each other's arms as they hold in a groan and continue trying to sneak out despite the fact they’ve already been caught.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
After a quick trip to the grocery store for ice cream, Kamala and Kate spend all night watching movies, eating, and coming up with a new plan to make their ship sail.
Carols a good cook, having had to learn how when she got tired of eating packaged space food on her ship. You don't get home cooked meals a lot, so maybe they can invite you over for a dinner so that you and Carol can have more time to talk about things that aren't work related.
You easily accept their invitation with the idea that Carol knows you'll be there, so its a bit upsetting when you show up and she frowns in confusion. "Hey. Did you forget something?" Carol questions when she opens the front door to see you.
"Um....no. Kamala and Kate invited me for dinner? I figured you knew." You say with a frown of confusion, and she lets out an annoyed sigh that for a second your kinda scared is pointed towards you until she yells, "Kate! Kamala!
They jump up from behind the couch, the nervousness clear in their eyes. "Oh hey Carol. We were just hanging out."
"Behind the couch?"
"Yup. This is our....meeting spot. How'd you not know that?"
The blonde stares at them for a minute before she snickers. "That's another hour of stealth training. Leave the spy stuff to Yelena and Nat from now on girls." You’re still confused about what's happening, but in the end just decide to leave it be and come inside with the dessert you brought.
Carol follows you into the kitchen, thanking you for the treats with a bright smile. “I already ate, and I have to do some repairs on my ship, but I’ll see you tomorrow alright?” With that, she leaves, once again squashing any hope you ever had of starting a relationship with her.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
The next day, you show up at the house to take care of the flerkens like usual though something feels off. The air is more tense, and there’s not laughing going on from some dumb joke Kamala told like there would usually be. It’s always been such a fun, energetic home. Right now though, you feel like you’re in a library and have to stay quiet so a 100 year old librarian doesn’t come and tell you to shut up.
After a awkward run in with Carol in the hallway while you’re on your way to the flerkens room and she’s on her way to make breakfast before leaving packing her bags for the week long job she has to go on in space, she walks into the kitchen were Kamala and Kate are sitting at opposite ends of the table. They’re on their phones, both texting someone.
They’re texting each other about a new plan, but Carol doesn’t need to know that.
“What’s this?” They finally look up from their phones when the blonde speaks, her tone bitter and confused as she holds up a takeaway coffee cup with someone's phone number scribbled messily on it. It’s not her phone number, and it’s not one of the girl’s ethier.
“I don’t know. It’s something your little crush brought in. Said something about the girl behind the counter at the coffee place hitting on them.” Kamala chuckles, fighting the urge to roll her eyes when Kate begins to hit her arm repeatedly.
The archer takes a moment to compose herself before she says in the most casual voice she can muster, “Seems like you missed your chance.”
Carol’s eyes finally move away from the cup to look at her younger friend with wide eyes. “You really think so?” Kamala smiles knowingly and hums. “Yup. I do.”
You come into the kitchen with a flerken in your arms right at that moment, not exactly reading the room as you grab the cup from Carol’s hand and smile. “Thanks captain. I was looking for that.”
You begin to make your way out of the room, but she gently grabs ahold of your wrist before you can so you turn around to face her. She’s nervous, you can tell that by the way her hand absentmindedly draws stars on the counter and she uses her other hand to tap the beat of the Star Wars theme song against her thigh.
“You okay Carol?” You ask with a small chuckle, reaching over to put your hand over the one drawing stars which only seems to make her more nervous.
Kate coughs then whispers, “Chicken.” Carol narrows her eyes at the giggling pair at the table, point towards the entryway to the kitchen. “Out.”
They grumble something about her being a big baby as they leave, but you have a feeling they don’t get very far.
“So I was thinking.” She starts.
You snicker before saying, “That’s never good.”
She groans, playfully shoving you away. The joking helps to ease her nerves a little, and she can finally look you in the eyes as she speaks. “I was thinking….that if you’re free, and you want to, we can maybe….go out to dinner together? Like more than friends? Only if you want to though! I totally understand if you don’t want to and I guess this might have been a little too-” Your laughter cuts her off, but it doesn't help her nerves.
“What's so funny?” She tries to awkwardly giggle as well.
One look at her face is all you need to go silent.
“You’re not kidding?” The question comes out as more of a whisper. Her stomach churns as she shrugs. “Not really.”
You think about it for a minute before asking, “You like me?”
“I really, really like you. But it’s okay if you don’t feel the same way. I totally understand.”
She watches as a small smile forms on your face, then changes to a cheshire cat grin. “I….I would love to go out to dinner with you Carol. Because I really, really, really like you too.” With that, you pull her into one of the tightest hugs she's ever gotten, her arms hesitantly wrapping around your waist to bring you even closer.
You guys stand there in silence for a few seconds, just enjoying each other's embrace before she suddenly calls out and is followed by loud groans and your laughter, “Girls, I know you’re in the hallway. That’s five hours of stealth training. Really, how have you guys saved cities?"

Daddy
Tumblr media
Pairings: Kate Bishop x reader
Word count: 1083
Warnings: daddy kink, Kate has a dick, protected sex (wrap it before you tap it), praising, degrading
No one is permitted to steal, copy, or reblog my work as their own!!
“Are you sure?” Kate asked unsurely, worry filling her body. This wasn’t the first time you two would be having sex, but she still didn’t want to harm you in any way.
You nodded, grabbing her hand as you interlock your fingers, “I’m sure Kate.” That was all the permission she needed. Her length prodded at your entrance, the condom preventing her from feeling you completely. You’d always beg her to take you without one, to let go for one time. But she’d always deny it, she was too worried about getting you pregnant.
Hearing your whines made her panic, thinking she hurt you. “You okay? Did I hurt you?” Before she could pull out of you, you wrapped your legs around her waist to keep her stilled inside of you. You could see her eyeing your breasts like prey, but she didn’t do anything. Taking matters into your own hands, you took her hand and rested them on your tits, giving her permission to touch you.
“Go ahead, Katey, you can touch me.” She complied, a small smile growing on her face. Your nipple was rolled between her fingers, the other being placed in her mouth. Your palm came to rest upon her head, gathering her black locks and scratching lightly. Seeing your calmed face she started to thrust ever so slowly, making you buck your hips and chase her cock. She chuckled at your reaction and continued her ministration on your breasts. Her other hand trailed down your body and made its way to your clit, rubbing small circles on the bundle of nerves. Your moans spewed her on, she progressively picked up her small pace until you could hear light skin slapping across the room.
“Daddy..” You whimpered out, fingernails digging into her back. Hearing the title you gave her flicked a switch inside of her, she just wanted to use and destroy you until you passed out.
“Say that again.” Your eyes fluttered open as you stared at her face, mouth creating a small circle and her eyebrows furrowed.
“Daddy?” She groaned, slapping the side of your thigh as you twitched beneath her. She laughed at your shocked face and repeated what she had said just moments ago.
“Again!” Slap.
“Daddy!”
“Again!” Slap.
“Daddy!” She had a cocky grin covering her face, oh how she loved the nickname. Her cock slid in and out of you at an inhuman pace, her arms resting on your shoulder blades as she moved to hit a deeper spot inside of your weeping cunt. The bed frame hit the walls, creating a loud creaking and banging sound. You wouldn’t be surprised if your neighbors came to complain the next day.
“You like that? Tell me, sweetheart, tell me you’re my desperate little whore. Only mine.” These words have never left her mouth, it was always a sweet nickname like ‘my love’ or ‘baby’. But you loved it. You’ve mentioned kinks before, but she’s always been too nervous to try anything. And now, she was treating you like a rag doll, you adored it.
“I’m your desperate little whore, daddy! Only yours!” She nodded along with you, burying her face in your neck.
“That’s it, all for your daddy.” You shook under her, the coil in your stomach being close to snapping.
“Kate-” Another spank was delivered to your reddish skin.
“That’s not my name.”
“Daddy, I need to cum.” She shook her head, slowing down her hips as you whined.
“No! Please, I need it so bad.”
“Work for it, baby.” In a blink of an eye, you were thrown off of her before she placed you back onto her, now sitting up. You placed your arms around her neck and sunk onto her covered length, your mouth falling open as she filled you up once again. Her lips collided with yours, taking advantage of your pleasure-filled face. Her tongue entered your mouth as you rode her, chasing the high that you hoped she wouldn’t reject. Her hands lay upon your hips, guiding you on top of her. She didn’t let you slow down, your inner thighs continuously hit her legs.
“Mm, riding daddy so good, baby. You’re such a good girl for me.” Your noises grew louder, your head shaking up and down as you agreed with her. That wasn’t good enough for her, she wanted words.
“You’re my good girl, right?”
“Yes! Yes, I’m your good girl, daddy.” You paused, swallowing back a moan. “Can I cum? Please?” She pondered for a moment, you stared at her with a pleading, desperate look.
“Beg for it, princess, beg like the little slut you are.”
“Please daddy, please let me cum! I’ll be your good girl, I’ll do anything- just, please?” It wasn't enough for her, but she gave in. Her release was nearing as she watched you come undone, your face marked with satisfaction.
“That’s it, cum around my cock.” She filled up her condom with her seed, connecting her lips with you once more. You moaned into her mouth, her hands traveling to tug your hair. You grasped her biceps in your hands, feeling the strong muscle clench as her body tightened.
“It’s okay, doll, I’ve got you. I’m right here.” You slowly came down, Kate rubbing gentle circles on your sides to help soothe you.
“You all right? I didn’t go too hard on you?” You shook your head back and forth, resting it on her forehead as you gave her small pecks. She giggled, standing up as your legs went around her hips. She was still buried deep inside of you, every step she made had a whimper leaving your mouth.
“Keep making those noises and I’ll have you bent over this counter, baby.” You were placed on the cold marble, making you shiver and goosebumps erupt over your body. She rubbed your arms up and down before grabbing a cloth to clean you up. You whimpered, the wet rag making contact with your cunt causing you to twitch.
“‘M sorry, baby. Just- stay still for me, all right? Can you do that for me?” Before you knew it, you were done. Kate carried you into your shared bed and laid you down, covering you in her clothes that were a few sizes too big for you. It was crazy how she could go from being so rough, to so soft in just an instant. The two of you cuddled close to one other.
“So, daddy?”
“Oh shut it!”

Dance?
Kate Bishop x gn!reader
Tumblr media
Summary: You ask Kate to dance, but you didn't want to dance. But she says yes, so now you have to dance.
Warnings: none, pure fluff
Word count: 656
-
-
"will you do the honor of dancing with me?"
She turned her head at your question, seeing your almost kneeling form with your hand extended to her, the person talking to her giving a short goodbye before leaving you alone.
"you want to dance?" the archer asked, emphasizing the first word, a knowning glint in her eyes and an amused smile on her lips.
"ok" she said simply, drawing a step closer to you.
You straightened your posture, retreating your hand, letting it fall to your side. You opened your mouth to respond, but nothing came out, making Kate's smile grow bigger. You definitely weren't expecting this outcome. And as if she was reading your mind she added, "you didn't expect me to say yes, did you?"
"no, I actually didn't" You answered, making her giggle.
"honey I know you hate dancing as much as I do, plus, you are totally incapable of dancing" she accused. Ignoring the warmth in your chest because of the pet name, your blinked your eyes fast and put a hand on your chest, causing Kate to roll her eyes.
Again she advanced towards you, until your chests were mere centimeters away from each other, and extended her hand
"come on, take my hand"
You tilted your head, uncertainty clear on your face, not moving from your position you spoke up
"you know what? I changed my mind"
Her teasing smile now turned into a soft and encouraging one.
"let me guide you, you won't mess it up"
She offered, making the desicion for you and taking your hand in hers, putting them in the air. Grabbing the other hand, she put it on her waist, and placed her own on your shoulder, starting to sway to the rhythm of the music.
It was only a few steps and your hand already left her body for about five times to adjust your hair, an unnecessary move, but the darked haired girl didn't pick up on your real motives, or if she did, she decided not to comment on it. Instead she circled your wrist and put it back in its original place "keep your hand on my waist"
You nodded, her soft voice doing something to sooth your nerves. If she tried to make conversation after, you didn't notice, hyper aware of all the people dancing or looking at you, especially one-
"hey! (Y/N)!" she whisper-yelled, making you raise your head, looking in her eyes.
"are you nervous?"
"uh, kinda? I mean-yes yes I am" you nod your head, blabbering on your words. At this Kate squeezed your hand searching for your eyes, indicating she was waiting for more.
"they're looking at me, at you, all of these people, your mother is looking at us and I'm almost tripping with every step. You shouldn't be seen dancing like this-shouldn't be seen dancing with-"
"(Y/N)" she called, stopping you from your rant, and your dance at the same time.
"(Y/N), stop it's okay. They're not looking at us and even if they are, let them look, we're hot" the archer shrugged, giggling at her own joke before she continued "and without you I would be standing in a corner somewhere, bored out of my mind, so don't stress out, mh?"
The brown eyed girl barely waited for any sign from you and spoke up
"don't look at the floor, look at me, no need to rush and don't focus too much, just follow my steps"
And you started doing just that.
"see? You're doing great. You had the perfect teacher after all" She tried to play it cool.
"you never danced in your entire life!" You replied, rolling your eyes and nudging her nose with your own. Har act broke, looking into your eyes, soft smile on her lips, and you were finally able to forget about everyone in the room but the one that was in your arms.

Solace | Kate Bishop
Summary: It's one of those nights again where Kate disappears and doesn't come back until it's early morning. You have finally had enough. warnings: bad writing (sorry not sorry), few swear words. light angst with a happy ending. enjoy!! wordcount: 1200+ ------------------
Katiee 💘: hey love, i know you’re at work right now, but im just telling you that ill be busy the entire day. I have so much to do today so i might not be able to open my phone as often.
You: hi babyyy, its fine. i get it,  just make sure to text me once everything  is over, okay? love you.
Katiee 💘: of course, dont worry. love you too, mwuah! 9:23 am
It was 11:34 pm, the flickering lights of NYC fluttered outside your window, and the constant noise of cars passing by was nothing new. You had been up all night waiting for a reply from your girlfriend, Kate.
Her last reply was in the morning, after that— radio silence. Her silence was unnerving, although you had gotten used to her doing this, it never was this drastic. You kept opening your phone every time it turned on, expecting it was her message, but still; nothing.
You: babyy, are you free noww? if not, i hope you finish up soon. mwuah. 6:02 pm
You:
heyy, i know this is probably just one of your busy days but are you donee? lucky misses you already.  text me when you get this. 7:35 pm
You:
kate, Im getting worried. you haven't been answering the entire day. is everything fine? please text me once you see this. 9:00 pm
You:
Kate??? Please tell me you’re okay. I'm worried sick. 9:58 pm
You anxiously paced around your bedroom, at the corner of the room Lucky was sleeping on his bed. He was planning on staying up with you but at 10 pm he accidentally fell asleep. You make your way to the dining room, leaving a light on— you’ll wait for Kate here.
You can feel your eyes slowly giving up, trying to keep yourself up— you try to rub your face to stay awake a bit more.
This hasn’t been the first time Kate has done this. Ever since last year when she hit that large bell tower, she had changed. There were times you often pretended to not know when she had cuts or bruises— she was a bad liar. You can often see her limping or wincing every time she moves.
You never questioned her about it though. You didn't want to overwhelm her especially since her mother got sent to jail for murdering people. But ever since that— it seemed like she was burying herself in her work more and more. The cuts or bruises were more visible, you remember when she didn't come home for a day and she blamed it on her cousin who was in town and wanted some tour around NYC.
Right as you were about to fall asleep, you heard the sound of keys clattering and curses being mumbled as the person entered the front door. You recognized the voice to be Kate. “Fuck, fuck fuck.”
She stopped in her tracks when she saw you standing in front of the couch. There was a moment of silence between you, “Where the hell have you been?” You questioned in disbelief. She puts down her bow on the nearest table, you watch her intently.
“The company had me go overtime since there were extra projects due. Look, I sorry-”
She explains but you quickly cut her off. “Oh my god, then why the hell do you bring your fucking bow or why couldn't you even text me once? Do you think I'm stupid Kate?” She sighs, massaging her temple.
“Y/n, let's not do this right now.” She mumbles, giving you a tired look. “I'm tired, we can talk about this in the morning.” You shook your head immediately.
You stepped closer to her. “No, we are talking about this now. Because in the morning you’ll be gone even before I wake up. Goddamit, I'm not oblivious! I know that your work isn't from seven am to eleven fucking pm!” Kate is starting to become more irritated with you, trying to bite her tongue from saying anything.
“What the hell are you hiding from me? I was worried sick, I waited up until what? Eleve-” You look at the clock. 12:10 am. “Its fucking midnight!” Kate knows she deserves this, but she's tired, way too tired to fight right now.
“Who said you had to fucking wait for me?” She replies, stunning you.
You let out a sarcastic laugh, “Oh my god, maybe because I'm your girlfriend, Kate! Have you ever thought of that?”
As the tension in the room thickened, Kate's expression softened, and she let out a heavy sigh. "I'm sorry, okay? I didn't mean to worry you," she said, her voice tinged with exhaustion. "I know I've been distant lately, and I haven't been completely honest with you."
You can feel your frustration, but you are also worried. “Then why, Kate? Why do you keep shutting me out? Why are you not telling me the truth?” Kate looks down in guilt, her superhero duties have been such a huge thing for her that she forgot her true priority, you.
“I haven't been honest with you..” She starts off.
“No shit Sherlock.” You mumble, earning a smile from her.
She coughs, “I know this may uh- this may seem unbelievable but I've been working with Hawkeye to bring this organization down.” She stopped to see your reaction, but your face was like stone. “And just— today we were so close to getting them but they got away.” Kate continues, her voice turning into a whisper at the end, you can hear the disappointment in her voice.
“But you didn't have to hide it from me, Kate.” You start, tears welled up in Kate’s eyes.
“I didn't want to make you worry, I'm so sorry.” She whispers.
You walk over to her and wipe her tears. “I'm always worrying about you, you know that. It doesn't matter how crazy your story is. Hell, if you told me you were fighting aliens, I would believe you. Because I trust you, Kate. And I need you to put that same trust in me.” You explain, hugging her.
You can feel her nod against your chest. “No more secrets, okay?”
“Okay.” She mumbles, latching onto you.
You chuckle, “Come on, we can cuddle in bed.” She protests for a second, saying she wants to lie down on the floor. But you manage to convince her into going to the bedroom for cuddles.
She plops down on the mattress, and you follow behind her. “I'm sorry again, I won't do it again, love.” She looks up at your eyes, you smile at her.
“It's okay now. Just go to bed, okay?” She nods, and she inches closer to you before pressing her lips onto yours. “Goodnight baby.”
“Goodnight love.” Kate mumbles tiredly, cuddling up to you. And for a moment, the loud cars outside quieted down, and the bright city lights weren't so bright anymore.
Kate realized that she could only have this comfort with you.

Life was easier now that your best friends knew of your secret relationship with your 37-year-old neighbour. The days were going by smoother almost now that there was less to hide. As well as, honestly, it was a relief to you that someone knew. By this point you were so incredibly infatuated with the woman it was nice to be able to express the happiness she brought out of you.
“I’ve never felt this way about anyone Lena. She just makes me feel so good, and I’m not just talking sexually, Wanda makes me feel more like me than I’ve ever felt before,” you gushed, eyes drooped to the table and unable to make eye contact with the blonde.
She pulled a disgusted face. “That’s the corniest shit I’ve ever heard,” she joked, at least you hope she’s joking.
“She sounds amazing Y/n, I just wish you told us earlier,” Kate, your other friend dropped in to the conversation from the chair opposite you.
“I know,” you whined, “but I had no choice, the least amount of people that know, the better. I can’t imagine what my parents would think if they found out.” You shuddered at the thought.
“Maybe they’ll be fine with it!” The sprightly brunette chimed.
“Don’t be an idiot Kate, what would your mother do if you were in the same situation?” Yelena rebutted.
“Probably throw me down the stairs-“ The three of you jumped when Kate’s sentence was interrupted by the slam of a book on the table.
“How many times am I going to have to tell you three to be quiet?” The librarian hissed, leering over you.
“Maybe just one more time?” Yelena chortled, however her laugh cut suddenly when she met the woman’s pierced eyes.
“Get out,” she hissed, causing the three of you to stand and pack your things hastily and rush out of the library, bumping shoulders along the way.
After giggling over the fact that none of you got any of your work done whilst you were there, you said goodbye before attempting to rush off towards the waiting car outside the gate. However, you were stopped when the pair tightened their grip on your linked arms.
“Any chance your lady friend could give us a lift to your street? We’ll walk from there.” The Russian batted her eyelashes.
“I don’t know guys, we can’t bring too much attention to ourselves…”
“We’ll be careful! Pleeeeeease!” Kate shook your arm, giving you her best puppy dog eyes.
“Fine, I’ll ask.” You gave in, shaking yourself out of their hold and jogging to the car.
Opening the passenger door, you couldn’t help the grin that instantly arose when you leaned down to see the woman.
“Hey sweet girl.” Her raspy use of the pet name sent shivers down your spine, reminding you of the many times she had used the term of endearment when praising you for the way you moved back your hips to me the rapid thrusts of hers.
“Hiii…” You giggled girlishly, instantly turned shy under her intense stare. “So my friends are wondering if you could drop them off on our street.” You scratched the back of your neck nervously, worried she wouldn’t be fond of the idea.
“Yelena and Kate?” She wondered, biting her lip in thought when you nodded to confirm. “Okay, but they’ve got to keep it down when they get out of the car. We don’t need any nosy neighbours getting in our business.”
“Okay! Thank you.” You clapped your hands happily, and Wanda practically melted at the sight of you being so excited over something so simple. She would do anything for you if it meant she could make you that happy.
You leaned down to lay a kiss on her warm cheek before jogging back to your friends who were playfully trying to tackle each other in the car park.
“Okay dorks, she said you can come but you have to be quiet when we get in the neighbourhood.”
Saluting you, Kate joined your side as you began to make your way back to the car. Yelena however, was stuck glaring at a short-haired blonde waving excitedly in your direction.
“Y/n! Wait up!” Turning towards the call, you noticed Carol Danvers, captain of the softball team and your chemistry partner, making her way towards you.
“God, not this mopho.” Yelena rolled her eyes.
“Quit it, she’s nice,” you reprimanded.
“She’s a stupid jock.” You shushed her reply just as Carol, who obviously heard the comment, stopped in front of you with a glare in the Russian’s direction. Her glare dropped instantly when she looked at you however, instead being replaced with a shy smile.
“Hey captain,” you cheeked, watching as red arose to her cheeks in embarrassment, you’re guessing.
“Hi Y/n, I was wondering if you’re still alright with me coming over today so we can work on the project?” She questioned, reminding you of the chemistry project Miss Harkness had set.
“Oh crap yeah, I totally forgot about that. Sorry.” You both laughed nervously. “But yeah, I’m fine with that.”
“Okay cool, do you just wanna…” she gestured back at her truck, hinting that she would drive you both back to your house to begin the project.
“Oh, actually my, uh, neighbour is driving back my friends and I today. But I’ll text you my address and I’ll meet you there in like an hour?” You almost slipped, having to restrain yourself from referring to Wanda as your girlfriend like you had been around Yelena and Kate for the last week since they found out about your relationship.
“Oh sure!” She nodded sheepishly, clumsily taking a couple steps back towards her truck. “So I’ll see you in an hour?”
“She did just say that blondie,” Yelena drawled.
“But Lena, you’re blonde..” Kate whispered.
Shushing them with your index finger in the air, you nodded kindly at Carol, waving her off with your other hand.
Shouting one last goodbye, you finally approached the car with your friends in tow.
Wanda stayed broodingly quiet when you gave her a peck on the cheek. “Sorry for the wait baby.”
She tapped the wheel with one finger, watching in the rear view mirror as your friends settled themselves in the back of the car.
“Thank you for the ride Miss Maximoff!” Kate politely voiced.
“Mmhm.” She hummed mindlessly, still staring into the rear view mirror.
“Wanda?” You verbalised, looking at her expectantly as she still hadn’t started the car.
“Who was that?” She questioned, still not breaking her gaze from the mirror as she began to drive off. She watched the blonde in the varsity jacket grin as she kept glancing at the car you had disappeared into.
“Who? Carol?” Your eyebrows bunched, completely confused at the woman’s interest in the jock.
“Don’t you mean Captain?” Kate joked, leaning her head in between the front seats and making kissy faces in your direction.
You pushed her back with a hand to her face, shaking your head. “It embarrasses her, it’s funny.” You shrugged.
“No, it turns her on.” Yelena let out a loud laugh.
“What?” Wanda barked. You took hold of the ‘Oh Jesus handle’ as she unintentionally sped up down the street.
“W-what? No-“ You blush, attempting to redeem yourself from the flirting you had inadvertently been taking part in.
“Face it Y/n, the idiot has been trying to get in your pants ever since you grew an ass.” The blonde grinned, leaning back in her seat and watching on as Wanda’s grip on the wheel turned whiter by the second.
You sputtered trying to come up with a reply, before settling with a grumbling “shut up.”
The rest of the drive home was silent other than the quiet music flowing through the radio. As soon as Wanda settled the car into her driveway, the duo in the back seats were clambering out, muttering their goodbyes. As soon as they left, Wanda grabbed hold of your neck and pulled you against her. Teeth clashed as she moved her lips against yours hastily, forcing every bit of resentment she held for the blonde she never met into the kiss.
Taking hold of the hair at the back of your head, she pulled you back so you were staring up at her uncomfortably. You didn’t mind though, as you were too busy imagining all the punishments she would possibly induce if it wasn’t for her boys being home from school.
“Don’t forget who you belong to,” she hissed, cupping your chin and squeezing your cheeks.
“Open your mouth,” she ordered firmly as you resisted her efforts. Giving in to her demand, your mouth dropped open. She smirked deviantly before spitting directly on your tongue. She tapped your chin until you closed your mouth, smearing the spit that missed across your lips with her ring-clad thumb. “Swallow.”
You did so instantly, making her laugh devilishly. “That’s my good girl. You would never want anyone other than your mommy to take care of you, would you?”
Her grip loosened enough for you shake your head dumbly.
“Words,” she spat.
“No mommy,” you muttered.
“Good girl. I want you to come over tomorrow whilst the boys are with their father.” She brushed her thumb over your blushed cheek softly. It was a command, but that didn’t irk you.
“Okay,” you smiled excitedly, “is 2pm okay?”
“Perfect.” She kissed you softly, with a gentleness that was completely opposite to the possessiveness she has previously displayed.
———————————————-
After taking a chilling shower to cool yourself down following your lover’s teasing, you hastily ran around your room picking up clothing and clearing space on your desk ready for your guest. Hearing the ring of the doorbell, you surveyed your room carefully to ensure there was nothing embarrassing around before making your way to the front door.
“Carol, hey!” You greeted, moving aside so the softball player could step inside. You led the nervous blonde to your room, thoroughly warning her of the mess before she could step inside. Your pestering over the mess was enough to distract you from the attentive gaping from the woman across the road.
Soon the two of you were sat on your bed cross-legged facing each other, open books between you and nothing written down.
“I really think using marbles in class is a bad idea, what if we drop them all?” You laugh, imagining your grumpy teacher finally slipping in those heels.
“But think about how much better it’ll be to display the types of bonding compared to a PowerPoint, which you know everyone is going to do,” she tilted her head at you, leaning forward and smiling teasingly.
“I guess you’re right,” you huff. Despite the boring context, you found yourself enjoying Carol’s company. You were happy to expand your friendship group beyond dumb and dumber. Carol is outgoing, kind, funny, leaning in startlingly close to your face, wait what?
Chapped lips meet yours gently, unmoving. Carol was cautious with the kiss, pulling back when she didn’t feel you melt in to it like she hoped you would.
“S-sorry,” she stuttered, seemingly shocked by her own actions. “I just- I’ve been wanting to do that for a long time. I really like you Y/n.”
You couldn’t help but flush at the revelation.
“Oh, Carol. I’m sorry but I’m actually seeing someone,” you frowned apologetically.
“Oh. Who? If you don’t mind me asking?” Carol felt a surge of jealousy, clenching her fists in an attempt to keep control of her emotions. You were Y/n, and so she remained as polite as possible whilst avoiding eye contact.
You bit your lip, wondering if you should tell the truth or not. You decided against it, not wanting to risk your relationship. “You don’t know her, she doesn’t go to our school.”
She laughed, getting up from the bed and shaking out her tense muscles. “Well maybe I’ll see her at varsity then if we’re playing against her school. Maybe then I can fight for your hand.” She winked teasingly, though you sensed a little truth in her words.
The atmosphere was quite awkward after that interaction, and so you gave her her section of the work and promised to buy the marbles for your presentation.
After she had left with an awkward one-armed hug to say goodbye, you couldn’t help the guilt that began to reside. You hadn’t kissed Carol back, and you know you don’t have feelings for her. But you didn’t push her away. You narrowed it down to the shock and confusion that led to you being so slow to react, but you still felt telling Wanda about what happened was the right thing to do.
———————————————————
It was time to go see Wanda, and it was an understatement to say you were nervous. Usually you would be ecstatic to go see your lover, but an angry Wanda was not usually something to look forward to, and a part of you couldn’t help the terrifying thoughts of her leaving you.
“Hello? Wanda?” You called out after helping yourself into the house.
“Up here babygirl!” You heard her raspy voice ring from up the stairs. She sounded like she was in a good mood, you couldn’t decide if that was a good or bad thing.
Making your way up the stairs towards the master bedroom, you gave yourself a mental pep talk to prepare yourself for her wrath. With one last deep breathe, you pushed open the bedroom door to see the beauty rifling through her closet.
Closing the doors, she made her way towards you and reached for your hips, tugging your body against hers instantly.
“I was just sorting through the closet to make room for some of your stuff for when you stay over more during the summer,” she grinned. The boys were going to a summer camp for the summer holidays, and so you planned a number of sleepovers. Her brunette hair tickled your cheeks as she leaned down to capture your lips in her own, however despite her cuteness you couldn’t help but let the feeling of guilt grow. Turning your head at the last second, her puckered lips pressed against your cheek chastely.
Pulling back, eyebrows furrowed, her concerned gaze shot at your heart.
“What’s wrong detka?” Her lips pout.
Pulling away from her, you took a seat on the edge of the bed. Reading the serious atmosphere, Wanda took a seat next to you.
“Okay so,” you paused. “Carol came over last night to walk on a chemistry project with me, because we’re partners.”
Wanda’s jaw clenched and her fists turned white. Though she nodded, as if she already knew.
Despite her obvious detest of the blonde, you carried on. “And, I don’t know what happened but apparently the girls were right about that crush she may or may not have on me…”
“What happened?” Her voice gritted through her teeth. The woman was ready to get in her car and find the dumb jock herself.
“She kissed me.”
Wanda stood up, hands gripping her hair as she seethed.
“It meant nothing, I didn’t even kiss back!” You retaliated, shaking your leg nervously.
You were expecting yelling and swearing. However, Wanda’s rigid back relaxed as she let out a long sigh. The strong hands entwined with her hair moved down her face until they dropped to her sides. Turning around after a minute, she dropped to her knees and braced her hands on your legs.
“Shh, relax baby. I’m not mad at you.” She brushed her thumb against one of your cheeks, calming your worried panting.
“You’re not?” Your eyes turned watery in relief.
“No, it’s not your fault you’re so damn enticing. And I know you would never disrespect mommy like that, would you?” Her resting hands began to grip your thighs.
“No mommy, never.” You shook your head desperately, eager to please.
“That’s my good girl.” A smile rose on your face at the praise. Who knew you would be let off this easily?
“But..” Oh. “I think you still need to be reminded of who you belong to.”
A gasp escaped you when she took hold of your sides and pulled you up from the bed. Fast as lightning she had your clothes off of you and was pressing your chest against the cold window, causing your nipples to perk up painfully. You stayed in that position like a good girl as she moved around behind you, following her rules. However, as you looked at your parents car parked at the quiet house across the street, you grew nervous.
“Wa- mommy, what if someone sees?” You caught yourself before making the mistake of using her name, one that would surely result in a punishment.
She leans over you, you gasp when you feel her naked chest pressed against your back and something solid prodding between your legs.
She chuckles. “What? Are you worried about everyone seeing what a whore you are for your mommy?”
You merely whimper in response, mind turning dumb as you lean your hips back to gain some friction against her strap.
“Look at you, falling apart for my cock.” Wanda took hold of your hair, arching your head back so she can whisper seductively in your ear.
At this moment, you no longer cared about who could possibly walk past and see you. All you wanted was Wanda. “Please.”
She moved a hand down to grip her strap, running the head through your already soaked folds. “Did you beg like this for that bitch you saw yesterday too, slut?” She thrusted against you slightly, causing the head to prod at your hole.
“N-no mommy! I promise!” Your eyes filled with tears as you felt your hole gradually be filled by the thick shaft.
“You’re mine,” she grunted as she filled you with a quick buck of her hips. You screamed at the intrusion, but her pace did not falter. She thrusted assertively, ploughing into you with intent on driving the idea of her ownership into you.
“Fuck!” She grunted, laying a hard slap on your ass as she continued to drive her hips against you. “You like this slut?” She panted from behind you.
“Yes mommy,” you squealed when she pulled out of you and flipped you around, grabbing under your thighs and pulling you up onto her muscular waist. The faux cock pushed into you again. She bucked short and fast thrusts into you, the sound of skin slapping filled the room alongside your loud moans.
One hand cupped your ass whilst the other reached up to grip your chin, forcing you to look into her eyes. “Look at me,” she demanded.
Your glazed eyes met her fiery ones, your mouth dropped open whilst she bit her bottom lip to keep her grunts in.
The coil in your stomach began to unravel as her thrusting did not relent. Her hips began to stutter as you came, your walls sucking the cock inside you further. “I’m cumming, I’m cumming!” You whimpered.
Wanda moaned as she too began to reach her peak. Pressing herself against you, she dropped her head on your shoulder as she ground against you, driving you further into the window. Glancing up from your glistening skin as she came, she made eye contact with the same blonde she had seen earlier standing on your porch. The older woman grinned as the blonde dropped the flowers she was holding onto the ground, walking away in a strop. Her thrusts slowed as she laid a delicate kiss on your shoulder before pulling out the piece and lowering your shaky legs to the ground.
Your knees immediately buckled, but her strong arms supported you. Carrying you over to the bed, she lowered you gently with a forgiving kiss on your forehead.
“I love you,” she whispered.
—— the next day ——
You were sat at home on a Sunday night, watching tv alone and missing your lover. Wanda’s kids had just got back that evening, and so you couldn’t stay over without raising suspicion. Plus, your parents would never let you sleep over at “Yelena’s” on a school night.
“Y/n, your mother and I are going to visit a friend that has been having some problems, we probably won’t be back until you’re asleep.” Your dad rounded the sofa to speak to you, shrugging on his jacket.
“Oh, okay.” You feigned a frown, instead excited to use the excuse to see Wanda. It’s not often she gets to visit your room.
“Bye sweetheart,” your mother waved as she left the house. For some reason, you felt her smile didn’t quite reach her eyes. The thought was pushed to the back of your mind however when your head flooded with images of Wanda sinfully lying in your bed.
Watching your dad’s car leave the drive, you were quick to shoot Wanda a text.
Parents have gone out for a few hours, are the boys asleep? - Y/n
I’ll be right over. - Wanda
She didn’t take much convincing of course. Before you knew it, the woman was pushing you down onto the family couch, suffocating you with her lustful kisses. Soft moans left the both of you as your hands travelled along the curves of the other. You had only touched her yesterday, and yet you just couldn’t get enough.
Your hands were just slipping under the hem of her shirt when you were forced to break away at the sound of the front door slamming against the wall.
“Mum, Dad,” your eyes widened as your parents walked into the room, disappointment clear on their face.
Wanda jumped up from the couch, straightening out her clothes as she cleared her throat. “Darren, Mindy, it’s not-“
“Shut it cougar!” Your mother interrupted.
“Oh god,” you whined embarrassed, dropping your head into your hands.
“Y/n, how could you let yourself be manipulated by this woman? What you have been doing is completely unacceptable,” she continued.
“We haven’t been doing anything!” You wailed, tears beginning to drop over your flushed cheeks.
“Oh please, don’t lie to us. Your friend told us about what she saw.” Your father pointed at you, his finger shaking in fury as his face scrunched up in disgust towards the end of his claim.
The comment confused you, there was no way Yelena or Kate would say anything about your relationship with your neighbour.
“Friend?” Before either of your parents could settle your curiosity, the blonde jock who had recently kissed you walked into the house nervously.
“Carol? What?” You looked at her disturbed, how did she know?
“I’m sorry Y/n,” she wrung her fingers together nervously. “But I had to show you that what this woman is doing to you is wrong,” she gestured towards the woman, who was growing angrier by the minute.
“You little-“ Before Wanda could continue with her insult, you turned to her, tears further clouding your vision as you began to realise just what had happened.
“She saw us?” You questioned, confirming your parents suspicions. “You let her see us? How could you do that.” How could she put your relationship in jeopardy like that?
She turned her full attention to you, attempting to step in your direction but was faltered when your father drew closer to her. “Baby, I’m sorry I just needed her to see that you are mine-“
Your mother scoffed, “don’t you dare call her that. You’re disgusting, she is a child!”
“Mum! I’m not a child, I’m 18,” you declared firmly, crossing your arms.
“You’re not even finished with school yet Y/n, this woman is sick, and is using you for her disgusting sexual gratification.”
“It’s not like that,” Wanda butted in, ignoring the menacing look your father is yet to drop. “I love her.”
Your heart soared, but you couldn’t enjoy the moment with your parents staring you down.
“I want you to leave my house, and never return,” your father blocked her view of you as he took another threatening step towards her. “If I ever see you around my daughter again, I will be telling everyone in town about what you have done. You will be a disgrace, your sons will never look at you the same again.”
You could see Wanda’s attempt at bravery falter, you immediately began to sob. This great love was over. Taking a step back, she walked out of the house quietly, with one last longing look in your direction, beautiful green eyes filled with tears.

Sorry it took so long! I haven’t had a moment to myself. Hope you enjoyed.
Love, Meg xx

Hiya, may I request something for Kate bishop.
(Peter could be rs cousin or something.) Reader (who is spiderwoman and dating Kate), Kate and Yelena help Peter Parker (T. Holland) with the villains from the other earth's and as a result green goblin ends up killing aunt May and she seeks out revenge for may and almost kills green goblin but Yelena and kate stop her. (Oh, and Peter is the only one who is forgotten)
no such thing as good grief [K.Bishop]
Tumblr media
pairing: kate bishop x parker!reader
summary: you always knew being a superhero came with a long list of dangers but it turns out you weren't quite ready to deal with someone else suffering for your mistakes.
warnings: major character death; heavy mentions of blood + injuries + grief; a huge serving of angst with a side of hurt/comfort, a dash of humor, and a sprinkle of plot; weird descriptions of fight scenes
wordcount: 3.2k
a/n: i probably should have rewatched no way home for this but shhh. any inconsistencies are just part of this other timeline because i said so and the MCU timeline is incredibly messy anyway. i very clearly got way too attached and wrote way too much but whoops, hope you enjoy <3 [also yes, may is R's mom in this but somewhere along the way, i resorted to just calling her 'may' instead 'mom' because I didn't want it to get too repetitive]
* * * * * * *
Nobody ever said being an Avenger was easy.
Especially now that most members are either dead, retired, off-world, or just simply unreachable. Nobody wanted to address the fact that the safety of planet Earth now rests solely in the hands of a bunch of college students and a Russian ex-assassin.
Of course, there’s still Dr. Strange and his merry band of sorcerers, including Wong, but it seems the only thing that man can successfully protect is his massive ego. It’s harsh, sure, but that doesn’t make it any less true.
Although, maybe you’re just bitter that Stephen’s soft spot for your cousin ultimately got you tangled in a mess you had no business being in.
A crack in the multiverse is bad enough but it being caused by one of Stephen's failed spells is even worse.
And of course, Peter's seniority when it comes to being part of a superpowered team means when he calls, you answer. There’s also the fact that he’s family and your mom would absolutely lecture you if you ignored him…again.
You really wanted to sit this one out but there was no way your girlfriend was going to let you. You tried all the tricks you knew to convince her but ultimately, her and Yelena ended up dragging you out of your apartment to help Peter fix his multiversal disaster.
“So, your plan to defeat these villains is to…not defeat them?” You question. “In what universe does that make sense?”
“Don’t be a jerk, y/n/n,” Kate mumbles.
You playfully roll your eyes at the archer’s words, biting back a comment about how rare it is to see her actually attempting to focus on forming a plan. She’s gotten a lot better at not rushing into situations but old habits die hard.
“Actually, it’s May’s plan,” Peter says. “I know it’s unconventional but I think it could work. We’re the good guys, right?”
Yelena shoots you a look but you just shrug in response. Fighting with him will only lead to more problems that you’re not sure you’re qualified to solve. Actually, none of you are qualified for any of this.
Webs, arrows, and strong punches are not going to get you out of this one.
You swallow down your hesitation and give Peter a small nod. “Right. What do you need us to do?”
Step 1, according to your annoying Spider-Cousin, is to pick up a few materials for him while he takes the misplaced villains to Happy’s condo. You don’t love the idea of being an errand girl but you already agreed to help and there’s no way Kate will let you take your words back.
Her loyalty is as admirable as it is annoying. But at least you get to spend time driving around New York with your two favorite people. And by driving you really mean sitting in the backseat with Kate while Yelena complains about how much harder it is to drive a car than a motorcycle.
Step 1 takes about an hour to complete and it’s not until you’re all heading to Happy’s place that your girlfriend decides to question you and your lack of trust in Peter’s plan.
“Since when are you so cynical?” She asks, her arm loosely wrapped around your waist.
“Me?” The question catches you off-guard and you turn your face away from the car window to look at her instead. “I'm not the one shooting arrows through people’s limbs.”
“It’s not like I’m killing people.”
“Neither am I,” you reply with a shrug. “I'm just saying to send them back to their universe.”
“So they can die,” she says, her tone making her statement sound more like a question than anything else.
“Well…yeah.”
It sounds brutal when said out loud but it’s the logical choice. Keeping them in your universe isn’t an option and there’s no telling what kind of damage Peter’s plan will have on those other timelines.
“And you don’t think that’s cruel?”
“Should I?” You look away from Kate’s eyes before you get distracted from the conversation at hand due to the puppy-dog look they’ve been carrying the past few minutes. “Yelena, you wanna help me out here?”
“You’re gonna get the heartless Russian assassin to help you prove your point?” She asks with a chuckle.
“Ex-assasin,” the blonde corrects her. “And I am not heartless. But y/n is right. What is that stupid saying? Something about a circus?”
“Not my circus, not my monkeys.”
“Exactly.”
“Okay, so if you’re so against this plan why did you agree to it?” Kate finally asks the million-dollar question.
The answer is a lot more complicated than one would think and you’re not in the mood to explain why the plan being your mom’s idea means so much to you. So, you take a page out of the archer’s book and reply with a stupid joke instead.
“You think May would have been fine with me letting Peter run around on his own?”
Yelena’s reply is just as witty as yours. “I am only here because someone has to babysit you while y/n babysits Spider-Boy.”
“You guys are jerks.” There are notes of humor in her voice that she tries to wipe away with an overdramatic pout.
You chuckle and lean in to kiss her, ignoring Yelena’s complaints about how annoyingly in love you two are.
The moment is a welcome respite from a chaotic and difficult situation.
A situation that only gets worse with every minute that goes by.
The three of you finally arrive at Happy’s condo and are led inside by your overly chipper cousin. You try to ignore the way the hairs on the back of your neck stand up at the mere sight of the supervillains scattered all around the living room.
You’re probably just being paranoid. That’s what you tell yourself until Peter lets it slip that he’s not the only person watching over the time-scattered villains.
You grab a hold of his arm and lead him away from Kate and Yelena, more for his sake than yours if you’re being honest. “What do you mean my mom is here? Why the hell would you bring her into this mess?
“I didn’t do anything!” He responds. “She wanted to help. You know how she is.”
If you had a nickel every time he used that excuse you’d be as rich as your girlfriend.
“This is different, Pete! It’s not just her bringing us snacks while we fix our web shooters, this is serious.”
“Which is exactly why she should be here. We need all the help we can get to do this. You have no problem with Kate being here, why is May different?”
It takes you a second to be able to reply, your brain not fully computing his audacity to make such a flippant comparison. “Because she’s not a superhero, you dimwit! She’s the only family I have left, I am not letting her get hurt because you convinced her to help us.”
“First of all, ouch. Second of all, relax. She can take care of herself.”
All you can really do is groan since it’s obvious no amount of arguing will get him to change his mind and help you convince May to go home. There’s also the fact that she probably wouldn’t listen to you even if you managed to get Peter on your side.
“Fine. Just tell me what to do so we can wrap up this shitshow.”
You ignore his very obvious sigh of relief and focus on lending the helping hand you promised earlier. Help that makes you ignore your growing unease and leaves you unprepared for the violent turn things take.
You’re not even sure how it happens.
One second you and Kate are arguing about how Sandman’s powers even work while Yelena and May help administer Dr. Ock’s cure and the next you’re watching Green Goblin turn the rest of the misplaced villains against all of you.
Your one and only thought is on getting your mom out of here unscathed but it quickly becomes clear you won’t be able to just swing her to safety. There’s no plan, or even time to think things through, there’s only a tense atmosphere and an inkling that things won’t go well no matter what you do.
Green Goblin’s taunts ring in your ears right as Electro blasts Dr. Ock out the window. Kate shoots you a look you can’t ignore and you hold on to the silent promise that she’ll be okay without you.
You dive out the window without a second thought, barely managing to shed your hoodie and reveal the Spider Suit hidden beneath your clothes. (Peter can keep all his fancy little upgrades, nothing beats the classic suit in your opinion)
You manage to help Dr. Ock before he slams into the ground with equal parts teamwork and a staggering amount of webs.
He assures you he’s fine once you manage to get onto a nearby roof, not so subtly doing his best to get rid of a few webs that are stuck to his clothes. You shoot him an apologetic smile before jumping off the roof and swinging back to the now blacked-out building.
You ignore the swarm of cop cars and news vans that litter the front of the building and impulsively divide to crash through a window into the lobby, figuring it’ll be faster to find May and your team this way.
You jump onto your feet after your literal crash landing only to find Kate and Peter in the middle of fighting Green Goblin. A part of you screams to run and find your mom but then Osborn kicks Kate’s bow out of her hand and your body reacts faster than your mind can even comprehend.
“Hey, asshole!” You shoot a web at his leg and yank him backward. “Get your hands off of her.”
He stumbles but doesn’t fall the way you anticipated. Instead, he turns to look at you, that chilling smirk still plastered on his face. “What is it with you Parkers and your savior complex?”
Your first instinct is to run at him but you catch the archer’s look as she runs to help a badly injured Peter. If it’s a distraction she needs, that’s exactly what you’ll provide.
“It’s part of our charming personality.”
You shrug and shoot at him again, managing to pull his focus toward the barrage of webs you send his way.
You expect to keep him occupied until Peter and Kate catch their breath but instead, May rushes out of the stairway, a bleeding Yelena trailing behind her, and she injects the so-called cure into the back of Osborn’s neck.
The cure doesn’t work. All it does is send the Green Goblin into a fit of rage.
You urge May to run in between Osborn’s taunts directed mainly at you and Peter. She doesn’t listen and you’re too distracted to notice the deadly glider that hovers just outside the window.
By the time Kate warns you it’s too late.
The blast it creates when it crashes in sends you flying onto the ground. All the air gets knocked out of your lungs from the impact but you don’t get time to lay there and recover.
You somehow manage to get back onto your feet right as Osborn sends a bomb flying your way. You just barely manage to web it and throw it to the side before it goes off, sending bits of debris raining down onto all of you.
There’s the distinct sound of Kate’s boots running toward you, Yelena’s Russian curse words, and a part of you that tells you to go check on May. There’s no chance in hell that you’re letting Green Goblin get away though so you swallow down your pain from aching joints and bleeding cuts and run after him.
You arrive outside just in time to watch him throw another bomb that you’re too slow to stop.
The explosion throws you back onto the ground and you groan as you land on a piece of glass. You’re breathless and bleeding and it’s only then that the guilt crashes into you at once.
This time, your attempt to stand is far less balanced and you stumble onto a familiar frame. “Hey, hey, easy. There’s no rush, babe.”
You happily accept Kate’s embrace, the familiarity of her comforting touch soothing some of your pain. “You okay?”
“Yeah, nothing some band-aids and a nap won’t fix.”
Hearing the usual humor in her tone brings you back to reality…which brings your mind back to your mom and the way you so recklessly rushed outside without knowing if she was injured. “How about Peter and May? They okay?”
Your girlfriend’s silence never means anything good and in this context, it makes your heart drop to your stomach in an instant. You’re about to question her again when Yelena’s voice stops you.
“We need to get out of here before the cops arrive…again.”
You push your injured body away from Kate’s, searching for the answer you don’t want to hear. “Kate…”
“I’m sorry.” She avoids your eyes as she responds. “Peter tried but it was already too late. She’s gone, y/n.”
You don’t hear anything she says after that.
It’s strange the way the world slows to a stop around you while your overwhelmed brain tries to process the Earth-shattering information. Strange how a second ago everything seemed to make sense and now you’re left gasping for breath, reaching for answers you know don’t matter.
The how, the why, the what. None of that matters.
May is dead.
And there’s nothing you could have done to stop it despite the powers, and the gadgets, and the hours of training.
You didn’t even get to say goodbye before she-
“y/n, it’s not your fault.”
“Listen to Kate Bishop, she’s finally right for once.”
“Hey!”
Their attempt to comfort you turns into chaotic bickering but you don’t pay attention to their words. You can’t think about anything except the gaping hole in your chest that had once been full of May’s knowing looks and thoughtful words.
Kate’s right.
It’s not your fault. Or May’s. Or even Peter’s. There’s only one man to blame for this.
And you’re sure as hell going to make him regret his choice to mess with your family.
“y/n.” Kate’s voice manages to cut through the hate-filled fog that’s starting to cover your mind. “y/n, don’t.”
You don’t listen to her words, you don’t even take in the way she so easily knows what you’re thinking, you just do what you’ve always done: keep moving.
You successfully escape your girlfriend’s embrace and start running. You’re not sure where you’re going or how you’re going to find him but the plan will come later. Right now, you just need to do something before the grief consumes you.
Kate yells after you but there’s no way she’ll be able to chase after you. Especially once you start swinging from building to building.
The hours pass by in between blurs of rain, tears, and the occasional wall you end up crashing into. Your phone blows up with missed calls and countless texts but you don’t care.
The entire world could crash and burn without you for all you care. The light within your own world has already been extinguished.
Your search ends up leading you right to the Statue of Liberty where you’re not at all surprised to find a chaotic battle going on. Maybe you should have checked your phone to get caught up with the plan but that doesn’t matter.
What does matter is that you’ve finally found what you’ve been looking for. And your mind is dead-set on your objective.
You ignore the rest of the fights going on, including the look of pain and relief on Kate’s face once she sees you swing past her, and hone in on Peter.
You're still bleeding and there's a sharp pain in your leg you can't ignore but your injuries don't matter. All that matters is avenging May.
You land next to Peter without a word, the venom in your eyes saying more than your voice could. You're both fighting for the same thing but you have no doubt he's still pulling his punches.
Something you have no intention of doing.
“Well, well, well, look who decided to join the fun,” Green Goblin taunts. “Too tired of running after your dead parents?”
“Shut your mouth,” you reply as you step toward him. “You don't know what you're talking about.”
That only makes him laugh. “Trust me, pain makes you stronger. You'll see, all I have to do is take away your pretty little girlfriend next and you'll understand.”
There's no hesitation left in your body once you hear those words.
You lunge forward, tackling Osborn to the ground. That stupid smirk doesn't leave his face even while you rain down punches on him.
“Come on! Is that all you can do? What's the point of two Spider-Idiots if one is too weak to fight?”
You know he's only taunting you. Trying to push your buttons and get you to break. Too bad that's exactly what you want to do.
Every time he pushes you back, you kick him back twice as hard. You stumble and get punched in the face enough times to make your ears ring but you don't dare stop.
You don't even think.
You just punch and punch and punch until Osborn’s on the ground, his witty mouth finally silent.
Seeing him like this only serves to remind you of what you've lost, of the pain that's taken hold of your every thought and move. You lift your hand to shoot a web at his forgotten glider when a voice stops you dead in your tracks.
“y/n?”
The mere sound of your name coming out of Kate’s mouth in that desperate tone is enough to make your breath catch in your throat. You already know what she's going to say so you speak up first. “I have to.”
“No, you don't. You've done enough, okay? You can walk away.”
You look down at your hands, at the bloody mess you've left behind, and the tears start falling before you can stop them.
The hand that pulls you up doesn't belong to the archer but it's full of an understanding only Yelena could be capable of. “Go on, Spider-Boy and I got this.”
You nod, too numb and overwhelmed to fully accept the weight of what you've done. Of what you almost did.
“Kate?” You call out as you finally turn around to face her.
“I’m right here.” She greets you with the same soft look and warm smile you fell in love with, nothing but compassion in her gaze.
You all but collapse into her waiting arms, your shoulders slumped as you finally give in to the all-consuming grief that lingers in every breath you take.
The sounds of the chaos around you fades into nothingness.
All you can hear is Kate's soft reassurances and the steady beat of her heart. You don't need anything else than that right now. Despite how strong the urge for revenge had been.
You just need your girlfriend…and a long nap.
Peter watches the scene with a small, albeit sad, smile on his face. There's a weight on his chest that even fixing his mistakes won't take away.
But at least he knows you won't be alone. The spell will make you and everyone else he loves forget about him but at least you'll still have Kate.
It'll be hard but he has no doubt you'll be able to rebuild and find the light inside of yourself that May always believed was there. Flickering underneath all the pain of your past.
Now you and Kate can shine together.
Without him and the chaos he unnecessarily brought into your life.
