⤷ Bakugou he’d catch even a different look or a sweeter word coming from your friend, and he’d be even quicker to show her that he’s not interested because he’s too busy being in love with you to even think about someone else. he tries to ignore her, but she continues. he tries to get away from her, but she follows him. until one moment he ends up exploding and telling her hard and thick truths; which makes her upset and teary-eyed, but well, he’s too busy demonstrating to you that you’re the only one to even notice her.

⤷ Deku it would take him some time to realize that your ‘friend’ is flirting with him, but when he does, he’s so embarrassed and uncomfortable. he tries to come up with some excuse to get away from her but that doesn’t convince her, she always finds some way to go after him. he wouldn’t like, but he would have to take this problem into his own hands because he doesn’t want to make you upset or insecure. so he tries to be polite and tell her that he is with you and that he has no interest in her; he uses fake smiles and understanding looks so she doesn’t feel bad - and honestly, he regrets it later when he finds out she pretended to be your friend.

⤷ Kirishima

he would try to be as polite as possible when he realized what was happening, but as soon as he saw your discomfort and embarrassment he would immediately tell your friend to stop or say something like “i already have an s/o, i don’t need it and nor do i want another” in a polite but notoriously irritated manner. after that he would try to demonstrate as much as possible that his words were true, that he doesn’t want someone else, he wants you, and only you.

⤷ Todoroki

todoroki honestly wouldn’t even notice; he’s too oblivious to notice your friend’s strange behavior. he genuinely thinks she’s very friendly like: wow! she was so cool! he never realizes that she might be flirting or being fake until he realizes how angry/sad you are after every interaction. after that, he would avoid her like the plague because of how awkward he feels around her. you’re the one for him and he thought it was obvious but if it wasn’t before; he’ll make it obvious every day so you - and her - never forget.

⤷ Denki

he knows exactly what she’s doing but he kind of finds this whole situation funny because he shows you to everybody and everybody knows you’re his and he is completely yours, so he thinks it’s funny and silly how anyone can try take him away from you. most of the time he ignores her but sometimes he likes to say something funny just to fight back because honestly anyone who wants to hurt you is like an insult to him too. you’re in this together, so he takes these things personally.

“can you help me put this on the shelf? it’s so tall and i’m so small.. :(“ she says innocently as she looks at him.

“damn, i’m small too.. what a pity ¯\(ツ)/¯”

⤷ Tamaki

he would be so confused and so uncomfortable; he doesn’t know how to react because he doesn’t like to be rude to other people, but this whole situation makes his anxiety increase much more than he could have imagined. as she continues talking and approaching him, he looks for you with anxious and desperate eyes, and when you see him, you feel your heart ache in your chest. he looks so fragile and small when she is next to him, but you’re a little relieved to see that all the tension and fear that was in his eyes has eased a little when you arrived - as has the red in his cheeks. honestly this whole situation would probably end with a confrontation between you and her because you’ve never seen tamaki so uncomfortable before.

“thanks y/n,” he is so relieved and grateful when you’re finally alone, “i’m so glad we don’t need to talk to her anymore” he says as you hug him, feeling him melt into your touch.

⤷ Shinsou

he would be very uncomfortable with the whole situation once he realized what the girl’s real intentions were; he always saw her as friendly and kind, but that went a little too far when she started invading his personal space. he hated it not just for her touching him or asking deep questions about him, he hated it because it wasn’t you. you’re the only one on his mind; the only one he wants. so he tries to come up with an excuse to get away from her and come to you; he takes one last look at her before putting his arm around you and giving you a tender kiss on the cheek.

⤷ Hawks

he’s a kind of person who catches everyone’s attention, not only for being hero number two, but also for being very pretty. and even with all the attention he gets, he’d never do anything to make you doubt his love for you because his heart chose you, and only you. he is such a loyal and honest boyfriend; and he wouldn’t act differently around your fake friend. he doesn’t speak to her unless absolutely necessary and barely looks at her. unfortunately that doesn’t discourage her. he’s put up with everything until one day while she’s talking about his hair, she starts running her fingers through it, that’s when he decides he has to be very clear and probably hurt her feelings.

“uhm… my hair is beautiful because y/n helps me take care of it” he says taking her hands uncomfortably, “i'm glad they help me though. i don’t know what my life would be without them.” he says with a hard but at the same time meaningful smile, which makes her flinch a little.

⤷ Dabi

since when dabi’s heart decides to be yours, it’s like the two of you are linked; an intangible and strong love that he wouldn’t trade for anything in the world, in fact, he would protect it with his life. then he wouldn’t handle this situation very well; when he realizes that the girl is crossing the line and starts being ‘too friendly’, he starts ignoring her or else giving her dry and rude answers that makes her flinch a little. he demonstrates in every way that he is not interested and that his heart is yours and yours alone. but if the girl still continues, he won’t think twice before pulling you by the waist and giving you a passionate and long kiss in front of her, running his hand over your body and smiling when he puts his arm around your shoulder and looks at her deeply as if to say something like “you will never replace them. no one will.”

⤷ Shigaraki

shigaraki couldn’t stand even half a second next to the girl. he’s completely and hopelessly in love with you and everyone knows it, so why doesn’t she see it? he ignores her and on the rare occasions he does speak to her, he gives harsh and disinterested answers. he often pulls you into his lap when your ‘friend’ is close; he leaves kisses on your shoulder and neck as he wraps his arms around you, demonstrating that you are his, and he is completely yours. and if the girl doesn’t give up, he’ll give her enough reasons to never look at him or get close to you again.

Michael is generally (seemingly) indifferent and uninterested and this would be no different. Just another thing you do that he kind of tilts his head to and then moves on from ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Except in reality he would be quite interested in you/your life, in his own way. And this would be one of your more endearing, interesting hobbies

Which is a sentiment you'd only be able to pick up on after being around him a while. Actually hanging around and watching you bake would be a big thing for him in itself

Not to mention, you'd begin to suspect him when things you'd baked began disappearing mysteriously 👀

Bo Sinclair:

Complains about it some, like you're baking again?? He's going to be drowning in pies and cookies and everything else if you don't stop... 👀 (this is more of a request than it is a complaint though, don't be fooled)

Coming inside to the smell of freshly baked goods would make him feel things he wouldn't quite understand. It would feel way more homey all of the sudden and he wouldn't know what to do with it?

Pops in and out of the kitchen to try things as you go along. Swipes batter out of the bowl or eats raw cookie dough or anything like that. And if you swat his hand away it will only encourage him

Lowkey wants you to invite him to help you. Would do so begrudgingly/hesitantly as if he didn't love spending time with you like that

Vincent Sinclair:

Anything you enjoyed doing, Vincent would be intrigued by. He would enjoy watching you bake and seeing the amount of thought and care went into it?? Like a quiet observer and learner

Although he would want to help and if you invited him to he'd be very pleased/eager to help you and learn

Half because genuine curiosity and half because he'd love spending time with you like that, especially doing something you liked that made him feel closer to you

Would love sharing interests like that and would eventually open up to you and share his art with you more as well, quietly enjoying the sight of you all impressed as you watched him paint/sculpt/etc.

Lester Sinclair:

He would think you were so wholesome and sweet for having a hobby like that. Would genuinely enjoy just watching you bake. Would watch you with a big smile, both finding you adorable but also happy to see you happy and enjoying yourself

And of course would help you in a heartbeat, if you invited him to. Smiles the whole time and can't help but stare at you while you work

Actually seeks out recipes and cook books and things like that for you from time to time and would want to help you make new things

Dewey would love helping you bake. Anytime he got the chance he'd happily assist you in the kitchen (while sampling things as you went along)

He'd be so supportive, always encouraging you and complimenting you. Would genuinely think you were so talented for being able to make so many different things

Baking dates with him for sure! He'd follow your every instruction with great care, secretly stealing glances at you while you worked

Lightning anon my beloved <3 <3 (Seriously, I always smile when I get an ask from you!) For you, here are the beginnings of my notes on autistic!Thirteen!

For these I worked off of a community-made list of traits commonly found in AFAB people diagnosed with autism. (Said post really helped me out when I was puzzling out if I was autistic or not as well as debating whether or not to seek diagnosis. So it's not anything official like the DSM, but it was written by autistic AFAB people, for autistic AFAB people, and myself and Thirteen would both fall into that category).

First: Traits with Canonical Support/Evidence

Tends to analyze everything constantly. She’s at least always analyzing the behaviors of House & the team, especially in season four when she's still getting to know them.

Often straightforward and practical in nature. (Especially at work for her. Her work persona is is uber-practical and completely different from the "unmasked" moments of goofiness and fun we see from her with Foreman in season five, and at times with House in season six and seven.)

Prone to honesty, has difficulty lying (When she's had the time to script and practice something in advance, she's great at lying. See her lie to House at the hotel in The Dig and the few episodes in season five where she and Foreman made an elaborate scheme to pretend they had broken up. But when she's flying blind and has no time to prepare? She kind of sucks at lying, à la her excuses to get House off her back in You Don't Want To Know, and when the Foreteen breakup ruse falls apart.)

May struggle to understand manipulation, disloyalty, vindictive behavior and retaliation. (I would say this is something she probably only ran into earlier in life, and sort of 'grew out of' as she gained more life experience. Example: when she was seventeen and didn’t understand that her 30 y/o boyfriend was taking advantage of her/didn't love her until well after the fact.)

May be gullible and easily taken advantage of, misled, or conned. (This one is another earlier in life thing that I think she would 'grow out of'/find ways to work around, same as above. But also? She took a car loan with 12% INTEREST. good lord Thirteen, WHY?? That shouts 'taken advantage of by a car salesperson to me'. So maybe it was something to do with this. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )

May have feelings of confusion and isolation in relation to others (To Foreman in Lucky Thirteen: "She hasn't gone anywhere, and I... feel alone.")

Often has slower reaction times due to need for mental processing. (Her and House's exchange in Don't Ever Change: “You do it both ways, right?” Thirteen stares, dead silent, looking utterly shocked. “...The ultrasound, I mean. You do it both ways. Lying down and standing up.” Plus pretty much every other instance of her Deer In The Headlights face lol)

May find math and numbers easier to deal with due to logic and lack of subjective answers. (This one is more 'potentially' rather than concrete. But she did go into medical/STEM field, and in The Dig we find out that she had a knack for science/physics/engineering in high school. She was good enough to place in the top three in the state-wide science fair her junior year. But like always, correlation ≠ causation.)

Often relates discussion back to self/sharing as a means of reaching out. (She does this with Chase a few times in season six! First telling him she started seeing a counselor after her diagnosis and using it to suggest that counseling might help him post-divorce; and then later telling Chase about her 30 y/o boyfriend when he’s mourning his and Cameron’s relationship and wondering if Cameron ever loved him. She also relates with the patients as a way of reaching out, like in Joy when she tries to connect with POTW's daughter. "Must be hard not having your mom around, huh?")

May have difficulty regulating voice volume to different situations. (I’ve noticed that in certain scenes with House, especially when she’s angry, her voice gets much louder than House's does and at a much faster pace. Some prime examples are You Don't Want to Know: "No, you don't know because I don't know!" and later "I might die. So could you, you could get hit by a bus tomorrow! The only difference is you don't have to know about it today, so why should I?" And in Instant Karma when she goes to House's apartment and loudly/firmly starts the conversation with "Stay out of my life!")

May feel misunderstood and tend to over-explain/ramble in an attempt to compensate for possible miscommunication. (in Instant Karma when she's talking with the cab driver: "Bangkok, that sounds awesome. How long?" "Not sure yet." she pauses, realizes the implication of what she's said (her place will be empty for a long time), and then backtracks to say: "Luckily I have a friend who's staying at my place, taking care of my dog. He's really big. So he needs a lot of exercise." Then she starts over explaining herself again (!) directly after when she tries to say to the driver, "Look, I'm sorry. I don't know you. You're either honest or dishonest. I figured the safer choice is to...")

May be highly intuitive to others’ feelings, although may not appear to react to them ‘correctly’ in social situations (In The Dig: House talking about how he was Cuddy’s weird boyfriend, not Lucas → Thirteen realizes a second too late that he’s serious and then can see the sadness/hurt from the breakup. Instead of adhering to the social norm of “I’m sorry”, she blurts out “I killed a man” to distract him from his feelings.)

Often holds great compassion for suffering. (*Points at the whole show in general* She might not always be outwardly gushy about it like Cameron is, but it's there.)

May try to help, offer unsolicited advice, or formalize plans of action. (We see this in her interactions with patients. i.e., reaching out to the kid in The Softer Side and trying to help, completely separate from the team, when she thinks he's suicidal.)

May frequently reject or question social norms. (Lots of her dialogue, much like House's, goes against what the "norm" was in the early 2000s. For example: her discussions with Foreman and later Wilson about bisexuality.)

Tend to say what they mean. Are often brutally honest, coming off as rude when they do not mean to be. (To Kutner asking about her Huntington's in early season five: "If I wanted to talk about it, why didn't I bring it up?" And similarly, with House in Wilson's Heart: "Yeah, I'm at risk for Huntington's. I've dealt with it." "By not getting tested?" "You are the champion of not dealing with your problems. (...) You're screwing up this case worse than I am!" Finally, in Last Resort: the other ducklings talk about how they feel House's arrogance is going to kill someone. Thirteen goes a step further and comes out with the brutal honesty. "You're a coward. You need to know everything because you're afraid to be wrong. You're so afraid of being ordinary, of being just another doctor, just another human being, that you'll risk other people's lives.")

Often speaks frankly and literally.

May notice patterns frequently (basically a prerequisite to work for House, haha!)

May possess a youthful appearance and/or voice. (she looks very young! However, this can also just be attributed to Olivia Wilde being younger than Thirteen was when playing her. Olivia was 24 when they started filming season four; Thirteen was at minimum 29.)

Clothing style is likely more focused on comfort and practicality, especially in the case of sensory issues. (Thirteen occasionally dresses a bit fancier, but most of the time she's far more casual than the rest of the team (save for House). Usually she’s just wearing a comfortable, casual tee shirt and jeans or plain black pants She dresses up her outfits with simple makeup, a necklace, and cute shoes. She dresses much more comfy/casual than Cameron did when she was on the diagnostics team. See: Cameron's suits/vests, etc.)

This is getting so long that I'm gonna need to make another post for part two: traits that don't necessarily have concrete canon evidence, but that I see in her.

WAIT CAN I ASK SOMETHING-

Can the skellys get sick? If they can, can you make s/o taking care of them? I need the original AU and the bad sanses

Funnily enough, yes! They can get sick! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I picture how skeletons, and most monsters, get sick is when they have too much or too little magic. Or their magic is just not connecting with them well that day.

The more or too little they have, the more dangerous it is for them seeing as though it could, you know, cause bad illnesses!

So because of that, Dusty or Axe would have sicknesses more often than the others, and it would hit them worse.

Sans: When Sans woke up and felt really bad, he had no idea why he felt bad. He, honestly, tried to just ignore it. Yeah, he could easily use that as an excuse to not do something but there was nothing really for him to do anyway. It wasn't even that bad... that was until he started to walk downstairs and he, suddenly, felt so dizzy that he had to sit down, resting his head against the stair behind him his eyesockets shut. What the hell was going on? Did he have too much magic? Too little? That was one of the reasons why skeletons could end up getting sick... finally, before he could even tell how long he had been laying on the stairs, he heard his datemate say "Sans? What are you doing laying on the stairs? You know Papyrus doesn't like you falling asleep there?" Sans laughs, holding up his hand slightly saying "Hey,,, I get it if he's... sick of me a-...already" he moves his hand up, covering his mouth as he coughed his bones shaking. Y/n frowns, watching, and sighs scooping him up in their arms and walking down to the couch, setting him down "There we go, you will lay here and rest. I'm gonna take care of you!" they kiss the top of his skull, then walk over to the kitchen to make him something to eat. Most likely soup. He wanted to tell them that it was fine and that they didn't need to but... he couldn't bring himself to say anything. He just nods, nuzzling into the pillow curling up slightly. Ugh... he hated getting sick. He liked the excuse to be lazy but, honestly, he would rather be doing anything else than being sick. It made him feel... weird.

Papyrus: Papyrus would try his best to ignore the fact that he was feeling sick. He had a feeling that it would be fine! If he just decides to ignore it, then nobody else would realize! Right? Nobody would notice. He quickly got out of his bed, taking a few steps then falling right back down onto the ground, laying on his chest with his head on the carpet. What the heck just happened? He heard the door open, and Y/n quickly asks "Papyrus! What happened?" they walk over, helping him sit up so he reaches up, rubbing his skull letting out a soft sound of annoyance "I am... unsure! I just tried to get up a-and I um I tripped! Yes, that is all. So sorry to worry you, but I, the Great Papyrus!, is okay" he laughs and gets up. He could feel his bones shaking, and he felt so cold. Maybe this was because of how long he had been staying awake and training? He ran out of magic. Not fully but enough to be dangerous. Well... no matter! Y/n looks at him, squinting then lets out a soft sound "I don't believe you," they say, "Are you lying to me, Papyrus? You know that that would make me really sad, right?" Papyrus pauses at that, his eyes shooting away then back at them, shifting a little "Ahhhh!" he puts his hands over his face "I believe I may have... o...overdone it with the training?" they sigh, shaking their head, and get him to lay back down "Then I'm going to be taking care of you until you feel better... you silly skelly" No! He doesn't want that. He whines and complains but his datemate wouldn't budge. Evil. His datemate is evil.

Nightmare: I don't really believe that he can get sick, he could start to feel bad if there are too many positive feelings around him at once but he doesn't, you know, get sick from that.

Killer: Annoyingly, Killer wouldn't notice that he's feeling bad until he falls out. He was working with the rest of the Bad Sanses, when suddenly, his body started to feel strange. Much too hot, and he felt like he was going to pass out and he did! When he woke up, he was laid out on the couch with a cloth over his forehead, and a few fans on him. He felt hot anyway... so hot. He lets out a soft groan, reaching up brushing the towel off his forehead mumbling under his breath "What the hell?" Where was he? Where were the others? "Finally you're awake" he looks over, seeing his datemate who walks over, putting another cloth on his forehead. It was colder, a lot colder, making shivers go through his body but it felt nice "Where are the others?" he'd ask, frowning a little. His datemate would explain that they went to do the mission after he passed out, and left Y/n to take care of him. "Then I should go as well" he pushes himself to get up but they pull him back down, squinting at him "You passed out, and you are going to be staying here until you feel better, or so help me Killer" he would have objected if he suddenly didn't start feeling so sick. It felt like he was going to throw up, which makes him just huff softly and he sighs, shutting his eye sockets resting his head down against their lap. Fine, if he has to stay here... he hopes that he would start to feel better quickly, he doesn't want to deal with this for too long.

Dusty: When Dusty woke up to feel himself feeling so hot, yet still shivering, he already knew what was wrong with him. He hated it whenever he started to feel sick, he tried to ignore it but it felt worse than normal. He couldn't even open his eyes, and his bones were hitting against each other as he shivered. This happened more often than he would like to admit, and enough for him to feel worried but he knew it was because of his high LV and magic levels. When he heard the door open, he forced his eyes open to see his datemate, and they were saying something though, strangely, he couldn't even hear what they said "I don't feel good" he mumbles, and turns to lay on his side, with his back to them. They sigh, and walk over, rubbing his shoulders softly "You feel like you have a fever, I'll tell Nightmare that you're going to have to stay home today," they say, "just know that I'm going to come back and take care of you" Then they leave the room. He lets out a little laugh at that, rolling his eyeshines. They say that like it's a bad thing... he would love for them to take care of him, that would be so sweet... so nice. March - Johnny Quale and the Reactions come fourth in the Rock and Rhythm championship of Cornwall. Roger is voted Best Musician. (Source) Which I think is actually really impressive for the youngest member of a group and the drummer, at that. Bet he did some impressive singing while drumming.

May - Roger meets Jill Johnson at a concert. She's a singer with a folk band and a year younger than him (which makes her fourteen). "Roger was sitting next to us in the back row and we left together. It was that night, or the next, that he took me to the local funfair [...]. And I believe the next night I went to one of his gigs with him. From then on it was a pretty regular thing." Not an exclusive thing though. "I knew one or two girls that he was involved with. This is pure speculation, I have no idea whether it was Eileen. But if it was, I have a feeling Eileen was not, in fact, aware of any of the other girls. Because whoever tried to beat up Jill probably was under the impression that Roger was very much taken and exclusive with them!

Onew would be completely unaware of the surprise you had in store for him when you brought him to your workplace. On your end, you had been planning this evening for some time; an evening to share more of your passion with him.

From the very first moment the two of you first crossed paths, he had been fascinated by your role as an astronomer, and the prospect of delving deeper into your world only induced his curiosity.

As you guided him through the observatory, he would undoubtedly be exceptionally excited. And as you provided an up-close view of the cosmos through the lens of one of the bigger telescopes, a gentle smile would grace his lips.

3. What’s a fic idea that you have but haven’t written yet?

A couple, but they're both ROTTMNT because everything else is already in the process of being written. One being relatively short and like a palate cleanser for NRFTW I guess (and because Hueso's entire presence in that fic was trying to get Leo to pick up his phone because there are humans in his restaurant whyyy):

Hueso takes his trash out at the end of the night and finds Leo sprawled in his dumpster for unknown reasons, but he's slightly bruised and exceedingly high and this is a very large test of Hueso's patience (and he doesn't feel any concern, of course he doesn't)

Okay, so upgrading Bishop from annoying third-wheel thorn in everyone's side to the outright antagonist as the man tries to adjust his world view after the events of NRFTW and makes a few calls, some of them surprisingly decent but several of them Not Decent At All, on the background of the turtles dealing with weird spots of corruption in mechanical objects found across the city (think Rise comedy crossed with creepy horrorville as a vending machine tries to pack itself with victims off the street, or an ATM literally having an existential crisis, and then there's all those Albearto bears)-- luckily Donnie seems to know where to find all this weird corruption and it reacts to him in a variety of ways from positive to outright yandere. His brothers would really like to know how and why and if he's doing okay? Please? Yes, this is a direct follow on from NRFTW, though several months down the track so Leo can get out of bed already. (The poor guy.)

I did have a third idea but literally 24 hours after I thought of it I saw the plot go past in a summary on AO3 so I went WELP /tosses it out the window, lmao

4. Do you prefer writing multi-chapter or oneshot fanfictions?

Much of a muchness! Like 1. above is a one shot and 2. most definitely isn't, I'm happy to write either depending on the story I try to write. I've written more one shots than multi-lengths, I think, but sometimes you can tell stories in the space of a few pages. (And sometimes you think you can and you're crying 89 pages later going why.)

15. Are there words, phrases, mannerisms or scenes you tend to use a lot?

Oh gosh, yes. People blink and breathe a lot in my fics, lmao. I MEAN WE ALL DO but I use them as shorthand for //processing// a lot, or breathing to steel yourself for what you're about to do next, etc etc. As said much earlier, I have a habit of saying such things like "He slept" but I've been good about this lately! (She says knowing full well she uses it in the chapter she's currently writing, shh.)

I tend to quirk a lot of small grins, have lopsided grins, and You Would Not Believe How Many Characters Are Capable Of Raising A Solitary Eyebrow (Or Eye Ridge As The Case May Be) and I have a fondness for writing scenes where characters wake up after several days out but that's just the comfort side of my hurt/comfort head space. Also I apparently kidnap people a lot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

ALSO LIKE MANY I SUFFER FROM SAID-BOOKISM (i.e. way too many adverbs, I literally comb through afterward and try to remove some they're just everywhere like my italics) so. I definitely have my tells as an author, but hopefully nobody grinds their teeth over them, lmao.

So last month my friends and I decided to give Terraria a second chance, a game we tried to conquer Years ago, and although we came really far, for one reason or another we simply stop playing right after defeating Golem.

I knew nothing then, and was playing catch up constantly, but it was fun regardless, I really took to the building aspect, and the base dean role. I found the summoner class fascinating at the time, with the Terraprisma as the ultimate Goal in sight.

But that was then and this is NOW, and this is all about the 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝘽𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙙 [a mount-summoning item that summons a rideable Lava Shark Mount] AND Melee DAMAGE!!!!!

So imagine if you will, you are in hell, fishing in lava, as one does, when you reel in this haul, and as you are reading the item description you decide to give it a go, why not, you got not ride yet, the good ones are all endgame anyways (you foolishly think to yourself) and as soon as the fish touch the lava your neck almost immediately breaks due to the whiplash, this thing is FAST Boys, Remember you are in Pre-hardmode, Wall of flesh is a future thing, nor even a prospect, There is NOTHING this fast at this stage of the game.

And it is then that you are hit with a REVELATION ..... Can ... Can I use this... like .... Like effectively? surely not.... I mean lava is so BRIGHT, you can't See SQUAT while swimming in it, can you swim on anything else besides lava though ?

Well YOU CAN, and you don't loose any speed.

So water clearly is the way to go, just craft a water breathing potion so your new best friend doesn't drown you while riding him, at this point You are GONE nay CONSUMED by an idea instill [υη∂єяωαтєя вσѕѕ αяєηα] your mind whispers like it's forbidden knowledge, and you simply MUST you just MUST, so what if you Terraform one of your 2 oceans into a massive multilayered Boss arena, completed with automatic heart dispensers on 1/4 tic timers, and bubble Honey stations for extra healing, imported biome water fountains to overwrite the red hues of the blood moons to bright light blue, Now your Shellphone can teleport you directly to the boss arena at the edge of the world, no Pylon no custom Spawn point (no big loss), so what if you had to learn about Gemspark Walls and painstakingly "intall" those LEDs all over the ocean floor/ floating lamps {one at a time} with your optimized builder loadout, so you can Actually see what's happening during the Darn fight...

I had a Goal, an objective 【D】【u】【k】【e】 【F】【i】【s】【h】【r】【o】【n】 Taking the Arena for a spin against the 3 Mechanical bosses at the same time was my test run, since the moment I fished Zephir from the lava all of these thoughts came to me, I had to try, somebody had to try, this must be viable, I just don't want to go at him with endgame gear, I already have 8  Truffle Worm to use as bait.

I think ...this is doable, a just need to NOT panic, for example, I can't believe I forgot to summon my SUMMONS , I could had had 4 FOUR!!! during this fight, UGHHHHH what a waste of accessory slot, that was free damage, WHY DIDNT I PRESS THE FREE DAMAGE BOTTOM .

okay so I tried to hash out the various canon and AU and DADND worldstates and who would conceivably interact with who and that failed so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ on the DADND side: I don't think caes and minah would ever be friends. caes is way too invested in politics and power for minah's comfort and caes has no interest in petty circus thieves unless they're useful to his goals. maybe with some of those nat 20 insights caes would find something interesting (if he could get past her deception), but you know his prodding would only shut her down faster than iggy could rip a guy's throat out. obviously I want this desperately. in a world where both their histories and motivations were laid bare I think they'd be a lot of fun. still not friends! but a lot of fun for the canon thedas girlies: warden!lira and inquisitor!vesper would be 30 y/o wine-drinking friends post-Inquisition when they've both mellowed out a bit. they'd get along marvelously well—both stubborn, both exhausted, both inclined to long nights bitching with possibly the only other person in the world who Gets It. the secret shadowy remains of the inquisition have a contact in the Ferelden court and it's the Hero of Ferelden who stops by vesper's house while cullen is busy with the kids so they can gossip and talk politics. alternate wardens and worldstates: lira and winry amell would not get on well and there would be a lot of clashing opinions but eventual (grudging) respect. lira and kalle tabris would also not get on well but would have a lot of the same opinions, and they'd both be incredibly annoyed by that (probably they should kiss about it). winry and kalle would get along surprisingly well but would disagree on everything. not sure what the alt worldstate inquisitor contingent would be like. rasa gets on with everyone. rosie trevelyan is a two-faced bitch but she gets the job done

CAES — the first time Aneleus turned to him for some public show, the first time he realized there was power in the performance and in being the favorite student—it didn't make the hate or the ridicule or the servitude any better, but the future was suddenly a clear and sharp thing that he could craft with the careful application of performance and perceived duty and a long, slow game of attrition DAI — that incredibly strange night in monrah after the test of strength but before they set out to find asmeda, before the izzy fight and the mirrors and the castle falling out of the sky and the deaths. even the annoyance of scratch and ozy prompting the mothmen to bother him was undercut by the game of it and zaref stepping in. it was just nice. it was a moment where daichi though, oh, I would be okay if it were like this forever. and then, of course, it wasn't. MINAH — coming off stage the first time she performed in a show, the utter wonder of being someone else and being loved for that transformation. the orchestra had toasted her that night and that had been a pleasure too, being plied with food and drink and praise and laughter, but nothing held a candle to the magic of disappearing into someone else's face, even if only for an hour or two.

parachute: who does your OC(s) trust the most? who makes them feel safe? who would they do absolutely anything for?

CAES — I don't think caes trusts anyone but I do think there's a certain comfort with deca and knowing that they both know far too much of each other's secrets (something something mutually assured destruction turned into working towards the same goal). he does truly want her on his side, mostly for her skillset and partially because she's become something familiar. besides that, he hasn't much love or loyalty to share with anyone at all. DAI — at this point he trusts the party the most, and would do anything for them, and feels safer with them around. and his dad, of course. zaref definitely makes him feel the safest, probably, but that's boyfriend privileges. MINAH — alesso is the person she trusts most at the moment. he's also the person who makes her feel safe, along with a couple other long-time members of the orchestra—people she's traveled with and worked with for years. as for who she'd do absolutely anything for? her sister.

contact: how does your OC(s) feel about touch/physical contact? are they affectionate? if so, how do they display affection to others?

CAES — touch has always been something held over him as a sign of ownership and obligation, and he doesn't particularly enjoy it. that said, he doesn't particularly mind it either. he's happy to use any and all tools he has to his advantage, and sometimes that includes getting chummy with someone. he's not super picky, just vaguely irritated. (he isn't affectionate and doesn't display affection to others, except as a means to an end) DAI — he's actually a big fan of physical touch, he's just awkward about it. he's pretty straightforward (verbally) with his affection, but he definitely sprinkles physical affection in there—hugs, clasped shoulders, ruffled hair, other small touches. once he knows he has the go-ahead to be physically affectionate he will be, it just takes a while for him to work up to it MINAH — touch has been part of her line of work these past years (performing, dancing, living in cramped quarters with six to twelve other people, even some of the thievery) and she's pretty at ease with it. she used to be skittish as fuck, but she's grown past that, thankfully. that said, it wouldn't be her number one way of showing affection—she's more about giving people things and keeping an eye out and making herself useful. (I think despite the work she's a little touch starved, and if someone were really properly gentle with her she might have to Take A Moment)

A bit of both tbh. Ray and Ganondorf's story is essentially a "bad ending" of OOT, or at least, it's a bad ending for Link and Zelda (spoiler alert: they both die!). But since we see very little of what's happening on Ganondorf's end throughout the game, and there was a whole 7-year timeskip halfway through, most of Ray's role in the story is fairly canon-compliant. I mean, do we really know for sure that Ganondorf didn't have a tiny Hylian spouse during those 7 years? The only major deviation from the actual plot of OOT is, well, Ganondorf winning. It happens right at the very end, in what would be the final boss battle where Link defeats Ganondorf. But nope! RIP Link 🙏

poppy ✦ do you have lore surrounding your s/i, or is your s/i more or less just there to project on with your f/o(s)?

Ray has a bit of lore, but not very much. They started out as just the reader in the Ganondorf x reader fics I was writing, so I tried to keep them as blank of a slate as possible so that any potential future readers of those fics would be able to project onto them easily. It was only later on that I decided to make them an actual character, named them and gave them personality. Most of their backstory is just the fact that they were a generic Hylian peasant living in Castle Town, plus a few details about their parents and past love life. I'm sure I'll come up with more in the future though!

Yes but not massively. I consider myself a lesbian irl because when it comes to real people, I'm only into women. But with fictional characters, I swing both ways, and therefore so does Ray because, well. Ganondorf is a dude ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

In terms of gender, Ray is very much like myself in that they are afab but really couldn't care less about pronouns or how people percieve them. I usually default to they/them for Ray partly because it's easier for me to write about them that way (as opposed to alternating between he/she/they/etc), and also because it's a leftover from their days as the genderless reader of those Ganondorf x reader fics.

Ahh I really like Animation, Horror, and Comedy shows/movies, especially analyzing them. I kind of want kids in the future? I'd be more willing if I trusted my partner with my Lows (hopefully they trust me with theirs too ofc) or if I could skip the baby part tbh. I really enjoy baking, reading, and video games, but I like physical activities when there's a sort of clear goal? Like playing Volleyball or Soccer, but not just a general run or jog. But I'd love to travel the world in moderation too, I just want to make sure there's always a great place to come back to.

In my platonic and romantic relationships I can be frustrating bc I tend to bottle stuff up so I don't bother anyone. If I felt comfy enough and knew I didn't have to worry about my Big Fear(tm) of Abandonment then I would slowly get better at talking about things. I'm also really forgetful when it comes to my own things, like forgetting to eat, drink, or sleep or if there was anything I needed/wanted to do.. He doesn't really get it, he tries to be as gentle as possible with your feelings, but on this topic things might escalate, he really likes you and wants to show it as well!

My first song, at least in a while.

(I decided to write this in real time, right now I haven't started making the song, I am just about to)

Recently I watched a few videos on YT that I consider to be near enough my favorite videos on the platform altogether, and one of them in particular had a piece of advice that I took into account and it gave me inspiration for my track. While it didn't sound anything like what I originally envisioned, I am happy with the melody, the effects and such do need to be done quite well if I want to make it part of a song with drum beats and other instruments. If you can't tell from the layout of the DAW, I am using Serato for all of this and it is mostly experimental, testing out things I generally haven't tried before. Below is the melody I chose for the song.

I still have not sorted out the melody, but at this point I wonder, which instrument should play it? I will experiment with it but in the meantime, I have recorded a sound effect for a finger snap, I'm not sure how many individual noises I should record, but so far I have been using one sound in tandem with the melody and drum beats, and I don't think it sounds half bad.

I wanted to make changes between one verse (maybe that's what it's called? sorry I am not familiar with music technology I just really enjoy making it) and another. I ended up making a tune that I really like, I did also change the drum beat somewhat but I want the melody to be the lyrics of the song, it is the centerpiece and everything else's job is to make it better. The song is currently around the 30 second mark, which is promising because listening to what I've got, it doesn't feel too bad, I just want to get it to one and a half minutes.

So I've kept at this for a bit and made several changes to the melody and will probably start making changes to my clicks, I will probably record another click sound and use it as a small amount of potential juxtaposition.

The image below shows 2 recordings of me snapping my fingers, the one of the left is higher pitched, and the one on the right lower. The thing I did not think about until now, is that I could just edit the original recording, but I don't think it matters as using a completely new recording feels more satisfying to me. I am going to use the second recording because it's lower pitched, which I wanted more.

It's been a while since I've worked on the project because of the way my past few days have worked out, but I am back to working on the project at 10 o clock in the evening because I want to ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I wanted to see what I could do with a little bass added to the song, because I thought that beyond the melody and the main instrument you were hearing, it sounded quite empty, at this point I've come to an understanding that it doesn't matter if it sounds digital, it just has to sound good enough to make it worth listening to. It's the main reason I've changed the melody throughout the song a lot, I also will add automation to make the main chorus part sound more impactful, mainly making everything except the melody louder. Below is the bass tune that I've added to the song, I kept this one thing consistent throughout the song though that might change.

Now I want a sequence where it's booming, it is clearly the main part of the song, I'll probably add a small bit of automation to the song to make the chorus a little more impactful. I will probably use my favorite version of the melody and add some more parts to it, maybe record a clap, though right now I don't know whether it'll sound similar to the snaps that I already have.

I did add the automation and I think it works fairly well.  I just need to nail the actual drop and make the chorus fun to listen to. There are so many songs that have choruses that are so good and I'd listen to the song just for that chorus.

I did add a bit of percussion to the chorus specifically and I'll keep it there alone, I still need it to feel louder without the volume going up, this could be sorted by density of the instruments but that doesn't provide a satisfying outcome.

Since writing all this, I have finished the song, clocking in at a little over 1 minute, which is enough, I don't think the song should go on for longer than that, I am happy with it, there's a good amount of variety in it but, probably since I've only been working on it properly for 3 days on and off, I don't think it's an incredible music piece. I do plan on recording a YouTube video commenting on the piece, that will likely be what I do with most of my music as it adds to my portfolio in a very positive way. I did rush the ending a fair amount, mainly because I want to get to work on more music, and obviously the commentary videos, which I do look forward to making. Below are a few of the things I did for the ending.

This is the automation on the drums in the final part of the song.

This is the percussion for the end of the song, there is some automation here, I'm just now going to show it, I think songs are better when, each time you listen to it, you hear something new. There are a few producers who capitalize on exactly that.

This is for the instrument that was the centerpiece of the entire piece of music, clearly it has been made slower, but I've kept the general rhythm the same, at least I think.
