Yeah demisexuality is on the asexuality spectrum. :) needing to have a very deep connection with someone before having any attraction or sexual desire for them falls into spectrum.

Then you also have greysexual and ace, and so many more that also fall into the spectrum.

My own demisexual Hellaverse character is Marc. He's also very oblivious since he doesn't get when someone flirts and never flirts back lol. He's still very romantic and is yet waiting for a special someone in his life.

(however life's been a bitch to him so he's also very abrasive)

You know what I find really sweet?

How many fans of Transformers, when making OC’s, tend to make a human character and/or a self insert that’s best friends with a Cybertronian. Not a human OC with epic superpowers, or someone with the grand ability to save the universe single handedly. Just…a normal person who happens to be friends with a Transformer. And the more I think about it, the more it absolutely melts my heart how that’s what so many people crave when picturing that ‘what if’ scenario of being apart of the Transformers universe.

It’s not about being an epic warrior. It’s about the safety and comfort of having a ‘gentle giant’ at your side. The cute and fluffy moments of being able to teach them about all our bizarre human customs, and finally having the chance to ramble about some of your favorite hobbies and most obscure subjects because of it. And sometimes it’s about those captured quiet moments where, whether it be you or the Cybertronian, are able to help the other feel less alone amongst the insanity happening around them.

Now obviously this isn’t EVERYONES OC, and this is absolutely not a critique on how anyone chooses to enjoy this franchise. This is just something I’ve noticed while scrolling around the internet. Like 90% of the time when I find people talking about their human oc and/or creating art of them, it all goes back to that. Warmth, safety, and feeling less alone, whether the maker of the OC truly realized and intended that or not.

I don’t even know where this train of thought of mine is going. I just find something truly heart warming about it, and maybe something sort of bittersweet about it too.

At the end of the day, everyone wants to have someone who understands them. And I think something like a Transformer bonding with human, where both sides have to give mutual effort to fully understand and communicate with the other species, gives so much room and potential for that sort of story telling that it’s easy to see why people enjoy it so much.

Making Tavaria into Durge has saved my OC

Creatively, the chain of events branching from "I am going to reboot my goody two shoes chaotic good bard Tavaria as the Dark Urge" has, been one of the best and most frustrating things to happen to me.

Bad because it's forced me to confront my own insecurities as an author and personal hangups (self-doubt of ideas, cultural baggage about writing smut, violence and gore - and admitting that I like smut and fantasy horror) and all that is hard. Also bad because it's meant multiple edits (and a rework to the end of Act 3 and start of Act 4) to the Gale/Lia fic due to Tavaria's involvement and I hate editing (as anyone who's ever read my writing knows).

Great because creatively a fountain that had become blocked suddenly sprung to life. Great because a character that was honestly kind of stale and one-note suddenly gained an entirely new dimension. A character who is chaotic evil but part of her desperately wants to be good, who became evil for a good reason (sort of) - that has SO much more depth than just plucky young tavaria here for a good time with a sad past.

Great because again, pushing back against all that hyper-engrained cultural crapola is good when it's caused you to have problems in life trying to please people you don't even like.

Great because now it gives my OC twice as many people to have smooched (or straight up fucked), and that's great. It's fantastic that Tavaria now has FAR more emotional stake in Lia's own fight in that story. It was bad when Shar was doing that to her best friend and sister-in-law, but now Shar was trying to do to Lia what Bhaal did to her. NOPE. FUCK THAT.

And tying all the above together, great because in writing the original pre-edits of the Lia/Gale fic AND the OG pre-reboot Tavaria, I always felt a sudden urge to make my stories too light. Too Disney. Too "all our problems are resolved in 22 minutes until the next disaster next week!"

Our protagonist was a prolific murderer. Who skinned the previous head of Bhaal's cult, a dragonborn man many of you might recognize, alive and turned him into a leather overcoat because she could. Who played a dead dwarf's ribs like a musical instrument because she could. Who, as Bhaal's chosen, fucked Bane's chosen and became pregnant with his child. Who, even after her brains were scrambled was so enraged at Kagha that after exposing her work with the Shadow Druids promptly caved Kagha's skull in. Who cared about Gortash enough to defy her father, but who cares about Rolan enough to defy reality and the multi-verse itself. And who clearly wants a family, even though it's against everything she was led to believe, and is something that was quite possibly taken away from her in Orin's cruel, spiteful attack. None of this existed before, and it's turned a flat one-note character (albeit one whose one note was 'loves to smooch Rolan' which is GREAT) into an actual living breathing character with dreams and fears and motivations

This whole thing probably won't be for everyone, and that's fine. And since I'm talking about my OC most people will scroll on by. But yeah, making Tavaria the Dark Urge is the best choice I have ever made in any writing I have ever put to type or print.

Now go get your grumpy wizard back, and save the world.

Your OC as a flower

I saw this on @ronavorona16 's Tumblr and felt like jumping on the bandwagon! The idea is to pick some flowers that you associate with your OC, either through flower language, or any other association you might have.

Flowers for Tavia Von Valancius

Lily of the Valley

This is a tiny flower that blooms around the first days of May, mostly in shadowy places and it likes soggy ground. It can symbolise the return of happiness, blooming where other plants struggle. It's generally associated with virtue, love and motherhood - all important values for my RT

Thistle

This is both a flower and a weed - there are areas here where they have to be eradicated by law. I like the association because it is finding beauty in something other people would destroy, which resonated with my psyker RT. It is a flower that can symbolise resilience, strength and protection. Since Tavia is my OC there is a bit of projection and thistles have many significances for me - they were the main flowers in my wedding bouquet.

Lilac

Purple lilac has several meanings associated to it, one being the first feelings of love, and renewal in general, because it's one of the first flowering trees of spring after Magnolia. The other meaning is spirituality, and awakening to deeper meaning. Lilac is the colour that Cassia perceives most often around Tavia, a mixture of the blue of duty and softer, tender pink hues.

Definitely feel free to hop on the bandwagon if you see this, but I have to say I'm particularly curious about @redbatchedcumbermayned , @theevilscribbler , @thetartmuse , @gingerfan24 and @cocoetoile 's if they feel like it.

My explanation how the Ozzies are different from each other

Uhhh…I wanted and needed to make this because people get mixed up on Ozzies

Old Ozzie-

The old Ozzie was replaced by the new one and he’s older than the new one

Personality-

The old Ozzie personality is easily frightened, clumsy and anxious person and when you really get to know him you'll know he overstimulating a lot.

Appearance-

Old Ozzie has goofy googly eyes, a long neck and has 6 stitches three in the front and three in the back near to his collar”bone”. He has very long messy hair, has 3 stitches on his hairline and he wears a suit and long flare pants.

Inspiration for Old Ozzie-

Old Ozzie was very inspired by the Fnaf Jr’s game, billy bob animatronic and from derpy from mlp….

New Ozzie-

The new Ozzie is the replacement (modern version) of the old Ozzie and he is the mayor of the city.

Personality-

For his personality he’s a self- centered, disrespectful, and annoying person but when you get to know him better he’s very nice and soft-hearted.

Why he’s the “bad” guy-

So…He’s not really the “bad bad” guy but he did some stuff that are bad to the city environment.

The stuff he did that was bad

1. Killing the nature by cutting down trees (…Lorax)

2. Putting the taxes and prices higher in the city

3. Last… he doesn’t do anything about the climate change in the city

Inspiration for new Ozzie-

I didn’t really get any inspiration with his design so I’ll talk about the inspiration with his personality. I was inspired by Tom nook, redd from animal crossing and…krabs

Final thought and yaps-

I’ll call Old Ozzie- Ozzie O.

And I’ll called New Ozzie- Ozzie N.

Yeah like the post where she said Mimzy was in love with Alastor had Alastor look so out-of-sorts with the confession and sudden kiss that I would not be surprised if @vivziepop only realised Alastor was ace then and there, that he would not be interested. It is funny when creatives feel like their characters have told them something about themselves, those at least who work in that manner of development.

Yeah, I have OCs that I made like 18 years ago. And when you make OC as a kid/teen you go for the usual cishet (often white) road and as you grow up with them, you start to deviate from the "standard" and you "understand" them better? Lol it's hard to explain, but at some point, it's almost as if you don't control them, you know what they're like and "they wouldn't say that" or "they wouldn't do that" and you create their story accordingly. I have three characters that I love to draw and one ended up being bi and demisexual and the other grey and almost sex repulsed, and the last aroace like me, because my own aroasexuality made me view my characters differently.

I just think people shouldn't be surprised or mad that someone change their OCs, even less if it ends up adding more diversity, because as a young artist/writer, you're surrounded by the default cishet option and once you start going away from that perspective and realize you've never been part of that category anyway, then you don't see yourself in your OCs anymore. They change as you grow and discover yourself. So I'm sure that's what happened, and it's funny how your own OCs can surprise you sometimes. "oh my child, you've been ace all along, I didn't realize that, sorry, I'm gonna update your backstory" lol

What was Galina’s reaction to Sanford’s current profession (mercenary work)?

At first, Galina was quite concerned about the stuff Sanford did for his job, given that she's seen his wanted poster everywhere, and the crimes listed on there scared the shit out of her. When she talked to Sanford for the first time in YEARS, Galina asked him about the wanted posters around Nevada, and Sanford elaborated further on them, as well as telling her about the A.A.H.W., and why his job involved committing mass homicide (plus a few other crimes).

After this conversation, Galina wasn't as worried about Sanford's job as she was before, but occasionally questioned some of the mercenary work he's done.

(I apologize for taking so long to answer, I get a bit self-conscious when it comes to talking about my characters on the Internet.. (>_<)💧 )

Fun fact! Did you know that originally I shipped my oc Mikimi with Palmer? I used to ship them together but then I realized that it was kind of weird because Mikimi is 19 and Palmer is 27. So I changed it to them being friends
