a/n: this was fun to write!!! Fun Fact: I actually wrote this when I was first starting to post about daiggie, and I completely forgot this fic existed until today when I was bored scrolling through my wip... So I went and finished it lol

“There ya go, one chocolate milkshake, one strawberry milkshake, one omelet and one vanilla cake with an orange juice!” said Ruggie as he quickly and carefully laid all said items on the table, remembering exactly which one was who’s. “Anything else?” 

“No, I think we’re good for now. Thank you, Ruggie-senpai.” Daisy smiled at him and he gave her a wink as he smiled.

“Ok! Call me if ya need me, fresh meat.” He said, referring to the group of freshmen, but before he walked away to take someone else's order, he quickly looked at Daisy and added: “oh, Daisy: ya can just call me Ruggie.” 

With that, he was gone, off to look after another customer in the Mostro Lounge as Daisy couldn't contain her smile. She began to drink her chocolate milkshake until she noticed a pair of eyes staring at her. She lifted her head only to see Ace drinking his own strawberry milkshake, eyes stuck on her.

“What?”

“When are you two just going to start dating and be done with it?”

Daisy choked on her milkshake, Grim lightly hitting her back to help her as Deuce stopped eating his omelet to try and somehow help his friend. After a while, when the girl finally was able to regain her posture, she breathed in and out and glared at Ace with annoyance, while he continued unfazed.

“W-what are you talking about?” She asked, telling Grim she was alright. 

“Please. You two can barely keep your eyes off each other. It's irritating.” 

“I think they're perfectly fine.” Deuce said, finally going back to his omelet and Ace just rolled his eyes. 

“You wouldn't know when people are into each other, you're too dumb for that.” 

“Hey–”

“Guys, please.” Daisy said, catching both of their attention. She looked at Ace one more time, her fingers playing with the straw in her milkshake. “Ace, do you– do you think he– I mean…”

“Yes, he likes you. He makes it painfully obvious too, I'm shocked you didn't notice until now.” Ace answered and Daisy felt her cheeks growing warmer, so she went back to drinking her milkshake to distract herself.

“You mean Ruggie’s got a crush on Daisy?” Grim asked, his mouth full with cake. He finished swallowing his food and started thinking, a paw on his chin. “Now that you said it… he does show up often throughout the day.”

“T-that’s just because he’s busy doing odd jobs and errands for Leona-senpai all around campus. It's natural he gets to see us often…” Daisy tried to make up an excuse, not believing the idea that Ruggie would like her of all people.

“Actually, now that I think of it… I’m pretty sure you mentioned Bucchi-senpai coming to Ramshackle fairly often, no?” Deuce questioned and Daisy tried denying it once again.

“H-he just needed my help with some stuff recently! That's why he shows up!”

“Daisy. He told you to stop using honorifics.” It was Ace’s turn to give his own piece of evidence.

“We’re friends! Wouldn't it be strange if  I called you ‘Ace-san’? It's the same thing!”

“Who’s friends?” Ruggie’s sudden voice made itself known and all of them flinched, realizing the topic of the conversation was here at this moment. Ruggie lifted an eyebrow at that. “You guys ok or?”

“Y-yeah, we’re fine, senpai, no need to worry! Right, Ace?” Deuce tried, nudging Ace to cooperate, and with a heavy groan the ginger nodded. 

Ruggie didn't look convinced, but he let the topic die. Then, he laid a plate with a slice of a kind of pie in from of Daisy, making the girl look at him despite her red cheeks. 

“Is this for us?” Grim’s mouth watered looking at the food, but Ruggie prevented him from getting any closer to the plate, making the small cat-like creature grumble.

“It's for Daisy. A pumpkin pie, and don't worry, it's on the house.” 

“On the– wait, no, you don't need to, seriously, this will get you in trouble with–” Daisy tried to give him the plate back but Ruggie denied it.

“Azul owed me something.” Ruggie smirked at the idea. “I asked him for a free slice of pie in return. Simple as that.”

Daisy's eyes went back to the pie. It was her favorite flavor… Why was he doing that to her anyway? He couldn't possibly gain anything from it so… why? She couldn't understand.

Ah… her face felt ever warmer now.

“But there's always a price.” Ruggie grinned. “I need help with some chores this Friday. You better be at the Mirror Chamber at 5.”

“Chores?” She mumbled, a bit confused. Still, she knew how Ruggie worked, and she was used to doing chores around Ramshackle, — and back in her own world — so she’d be fine, but… “why do you need my help?”

The beastman's ears twitched as he looked away with an awkward laugh. Ace side eyed Daisy and Deuce simply looked curiously at the interaction while Grim was back at devouring his piece of cake. It felt awkward for a bit, Ruggie didn't really have a proper answer for her question, which only made the small hope in Daisy’s heart grow.

“Because.” He gave up, deciding to end the subject as he heard another customer asking for his service. “Enjoy your pie. See ya on Friday.” 

With that, the four of them were left alone once again, and Daisy started poking at the pie while failing to contain a giddy smile. She cut herself a bite sized piece and brought it to her mouth, enjoying everything about it.

It was one of the best pumpkin pies she had tasted in a while.

“Have fun on your date.”

“It's not a date!”

I understand where you're coming from, and I think I has an answer but not a solution for sure.

(I do not support Tcest or anything of the sort. I just have an understanding of the why)

I've been wondering for a while why Tcest is so prominent and so wide spread in the tmnt community compared to other Fandoms as someone who's been in and currently in over 20, let me put my 2 cents in this discussion.

I think this issue Derives from cannon. And the fact there's such a Small cast of continuous characters.

In the Fandom community, people like to ship, I feel this is just human nature. In other fandoms there's normally a obvious pairing for any character due to how the cast of characters is formed

Examples such as Spider-Man has Gwen, Luigi has Daisy, and Sonic has Amy.

And this is true for even more obscure characters such as villains or sidekicks or npc's and if there isn't one the Fandom will make one up from one interaction. Sans x toriel, Jessie x Delia, tartaglia x zhongli

In tmnt it's different, in tmnt it's focused on family and old people. The only obvious romantic pairing is either Casey or April. So, for people who want to ship two characters together but don't have any to ship, they will do the heinous act of Tcest.

I feel it comes from people who don't like to make OC x character but not having an actual obvious ship to latch onto for their fav turtle. This is what sets tmnt apart from other fandoms

The lack of safe romance for the turtles.

In most other fandoms the main character Always has another person who isn't really old, family, or a child. To ship. Even if their is no romance between them.

Rottmnt has a larger cast then other Iterations? Yes. Do the main cast form a strong bond with those other characters that is safe for shipping? No, not really.

The amount of Tcest isn't because this Fandom is full of freaks, it's full of people who've been raised on tmnt and had their morals shaved down. Due to the lack of safety.

This doesn't make it right or in any way ok, it's just an explanation.

If I were to help find a slaution, it would have to be in making a larger more relatable cast of possible romantic ships.

Again, TCEST IS NOT OK. It is inherently wrong and is going to cause mental damage to the fandom's youth. And has/will have a huge impact on people's mental health and sense of morality. This will have a permanent stain and needs to be stopped in this large scale. AT. THE. LEAST.

But I don't think we could do anything about it in its current state. I think we need to hope mutant mayhem will have a larger cast of main shippable characters that stick to next Iterations otherwise I feel this Fandom will be doomed on the internet...

I somewhat agree where you're coming from. But I have to also disagree. Just a bit.

You make a lot of great points and I just want to elaborate a bit on that.

So yes, I agree, the main cast is very limited. But also... Like you don't see this with other children's shows like Bluey where it's family oriented. Though Bluey is new, it still has the same family orientation.

Also in 2 iterations, Raph has Mona Lisa. There's also Usagi (who people ship '03 Leo with).

And if you have a main tmnt iteration you like, why not incorporate past characters?

That's just my thoughts.

But I also stated in a comment on my original post: society has become so focused on sex. So so focused. Everything is sexual anymore. Like me myself, I'm demisexual, but that's wrong cause I'm not experiencing, right? Like not everything has to be based on sex. Not everything has to be something. Something can just exist. There's nothing wrong with that.

Cherry’sTale is like a diverted timeline

Y’know, different fallen human and all that jazz

Cherry herself is fully aware of everything she does, she knows the consequences of all her actions and doesn’t care too much

Camilia is the first fallen child, didn’t eat buttercups, ate daffodils

Tori (just tori) is y’know, toriel but she’s more aware of the fact that not everything can be solved with mercy and talking, she does teach cherry how to defend herself and all that. She DOES still try to stop her from leaving the ruins though.

Azazal aka sans is basically the same but taller, horns and all that, he, cherry, daisy (flowey), and Liff know about the resets and all that. He’s stronger than sans due to the fact that he actually does have heath, not by that much though, so he still dodges. Still the royal judge. With my other oc Pebble, who is not a sans but a regular skeleton oc

Liff is actually a lot smarter than people give him credit for, he’s aware of what’s going on in the timelines and is pretty strong and is in the guard.

Emery is y’know, head of the guard. She recognized Liffs potential, helped and eventually let him in. She can be chill but she’s extremely excitable

Allie (Alphys) is the royal scientist, she has less anxiety but it’s still very evident due to her stutter, but unlike in undertale she actually had the confidence to ask out Emery (THEYRE ALWAYS CANON)

Asgore (alternate name coming eventually when I think of it) is still king, still a push over and over all basically the same except he will have design changes (he was too lovely to change tbh)

Aracni (Muffet) actually does run her own little bakery in snowdin, she’s married to Solace (grillby, because fuck you /j) and does help him run the bar on the side, she can be seen with him most days or in her bakery (you still have to fight her after Metta). Pebble works for her at the bakery

Metta and Napsty, still cousins, still slaying. But napsty has a robo body (courtesy of Allie)

Pairing: Daisy (OC) x Saeki Teru

Summary: Wishing the seaside coffee prince a Happy Birthday! Whether he likes it or not.

Author’s Note: July 19th Saeki Teru's Birthday and this is the first year that I actually was prepared and had the time to write one. Please enjoy this fic with my usual OC, Mizuki!

I hope you look forward to the next chapter as well. :)

Birthdays are annoying.

That’s what Saeki Teru always told himself. Ultimately, birthdays were more about other people than the person whose birthday it actually was. There always seemed to be tons of people making a big fuss, whether they knew you or not. And tons of people also meant that Saeki would feel the need to go into Prince Mode, which he could usually manage, but it felt even more draining during celebrations. While most people would just be themselves in a situation like this, Saeki just couldn’t. Perhaps it was the people pleaser in him. He knew that they meant no harm, but even then he just felt that he always had to be on his best behaviour.

“Are you sure you don’t to go out for your birthday?” one of the girls surrounding him asked with pleading eyes. “We can go out for karaoke~!”

The white-haired young man felt the side of his right eye twitch. He couldn’t think of anything less that he’d want to do as a celebration. A dark, crowded room with everyone singing off-key? Pass.

“It’s fine,” his lips curved into an apologetic, but charming smile. “I don’t think we’d be able to get a room to fit everyone, and that would be unfair if I had to choose between you lovely maidens don’t you think?”

The gaggle of girls swooned in unison and agreement.

“Saeki-kun, you’re so considerate!”  

“Saeki-kun is always putting others before himself!”

“Truly a prince! We must think of something else to do then.”

Give me a break.

“Saeki.” he heard again, but the tone this time did not sound sweet and innocent, but instead, was curt, if not bordering on outright rude. Kind of like him when he was talking to…

He looked past the group in front of him and noticed a curly-haired brunette with a hand on her hip and her foot tapping impatiently.  

Mizuki.

“What kind of guy leaves a girl waiting, huh? Practice finished 15 minutes ago, and you promised me you were going to carry my things home!”

“I did?” Since when did she ever need help with her stuff?

She raised her eyebrows and nodded slowly. And then it clicked.

An out.

“Oh-oh right! Of course, my apologies. I’ll be there in a few minutes.”

“You’d better be.”

She nodded one more time before giving one last cold glance and walking off. Saeki’s eyes couldn’t help but linger, but not so much so that it was obvious. He didn’t want to blow their cover.

“Forgive me, ladies, it appears that I really can’t go out tonight. A promise is a promise and I would hate to let down the head cheerleader. They are cheering our baseball team to Koshien after all.”

The girls let out a collective cry of disappointment.

“Shirogawa-san making you carry her stuff on your birthday is just so plain rude though! Someone should talk to her about it.”

“She seems kind of scary though and the cheerleading team so they might come after us...��� 

Saeki gave them one last reassuring smile, hoping that would be enough to keep them off for now. His smile was soon replaced by a scowl as soon as he turned the bend and headed down the stairs. They were pretty easy to please, but also incredibly difficult to get rid of. They weren’t bad per se, just a lot. He had always promised his parents that he would be on the best behaviour at school in exchange for being allowed to work at Sangosho. He had not anticipated to have an entire fan club come out of it.

Once he made it to the first floor, it wasn’t before long that he made it down to the shoe lockers and spotted Mizuki.

“Thanks. I thought I was never gonna get home,” he yawned before opening his locker. “Not the best way to get on their good side though, Mizuki.”

“Every fairy tale needs a wicked witch in his story, right? An evil sea queen dragging the prince down to her lair for someone to rescue. Which none of them are brave enough to do, so I guess you’re safe for now,” her fingers wiggled in front of her as though she were casting a spell, before a laugh finally escaped her lips.

He tried to keep a straight face, but he had to admit her antics were endearing. Guess he wasn’t the only one who could keep up an act.

“So do you actually have anything for me to carry or was that all an act as well?”

“Of course I do. If I’m gonna risk my neck saving you from a rabid group of fangirls, the least you can do is carry stuff for me,”

“I knew there was some kind of catch.” Saeki crossed his arms and rolled his eyes. That was how it always was with them, wasn’t it?

“You’re such a baby. Just be grateful that I’m not charging you actual money for my services. I could have just left you to fend for yourself.”

He made a tch sound. Knowing her, she probably had a whole stack of books for him to bring home, especially since the summer holidays were about to start. She just hit the top 20 in their year and she knew how determined she was to beat him in the next exams.

“Whatever. Just pass it here.”  

Rather than giving him her whole bag, Mizuki instead reached in and pulled out an envelope addressed to him.

“I know you hate celebrations, but Chiyo-chan took me to this really cute shop that sold stickers and couldn’t resist. They were made by a local artist too, who is totally obsessed with the ocean! Kind of like a certain someone I know” As excited as she sounded, her eyes were not meeting she extended her arm to hand the envelope to him.

“I’m not obsessed,” Saeki carefully took it from her hand and looked it over. It was light blue with a variety of sea animal stickers placed on the front and back. He then pulled open the flap. Inside were two items. The first being a conch-shaped card.

Whenever I think of your birthday, I think of the start of the summer and the beach. I already know that you’re gonna hit the waves on your surfboard, so why not do it in style?

The second item looked like a sticker of some sort. A lighthouse with a mermaid on one side and a dolphin on the other. It was beautiful, looking more like a painting than a sticker. His heart twisted in the way that it always did whenever they were alone.

Your “friend”, huh? I guess they had agreed that was their label for now.

“I think the cat that hangs around Sangosho might be our cutest co-worker,” he responded with a slight smirk, quickly glancing up to see her reaction. As expected, she rolled her eyes and stuck out her tongue. 

“Whatever. Happy birthday, you idiot,” she shifted her bag strap from one shoulder to the other. “I’ll see you at work tomorrow, okay?”

Before she could leave, he gently took her hand into his, his turn now to avoid looking directly at her.

“I have to waterproof this so that it doesn’t come off the board, you know. And I need help deciding where to put it.” With his free hand, he scratched the back of his neck. “And even though I told him not to, Gramps made a cake… there’s no way the two of us could finish it tonight. And leftover cake just isn’t as good the next day.”

Mizuki’s eyes glanced around on either side of them before she interlocked her fingers with his. Her hands were not delicate, but he couldn’t help but want to treat them as such.

“You’re such a pain, you know that?”

“You’re the one that decided to get me a gift. Now you’ve forced me to celebrate. It’s kind of inconsiderate, don’t you think?”

“Mmhmm. Sure~” she nudged him slightly before leaning her head on his forearm as they walked.

Saeki didn’t want to say it aloud, but maybe, just maybe…

Birthdays weren’t all that bad after all.

* When coming up with names for the three of them, I made 3 lists with a bunch of names that I felt suited each of them and asked their co-parent @plastickatz which ones she liked and she pointed out that Barb, Midge, and Kenny— like the dolls— were all included and I didn’t even realize it, so it only felt right to name them as such

Plan Z

* I fucking hate drawing Wyvern’s wings dude, so if I’m drawing him in a little outfit sans wings you know why

* Z’s character was very different at first, where they were more typically more feminine and pleasant and their cold exterior was an alter ego named Z. The former was scrapped and they just became the latter

* Daisy’s default design has not changed since her first sketch in 2016, down to the color palette of her sweater and bow-tie

* Asami and Val started off as a separate story from Plan Z, but the story wasn’t coming together, so Val became Z’s cousin and they ended up in the Plan Z world instead

* Calvin and Ghost were the last of the group to be conceptualized and they, along with the cemented concept for Plan Z, were thought up at a hockey game. Calvin’s name was the first name that came to mind and it stuck

The B Positives

* I’ve had a few scrapped ocs named Frank cuz I like the idea of Frank as a girl’s name, and this one finally stuck around. I like the contrast of her being feminine and classy but with a name like Frank

* Juno was inspired by Suki in Fast In the Furious 2

* Each of them are meant to have design elements that allude to their “times” — Lennon is 90s grunge/skater, Juno is early 2000s goth/numetal, Rottie is modern day so he’s a little bit e-boy. Frank being several hundred years old has a lot of different styles from a lot of different eras.

Urk so @jumpybox and I ended up with an idea inspired by @therealesino 's Royaul + me playing probably *way* too many harem games and its consuming basically all of my thoughts.

Except... Over half the cast hasn't been introduced to anyone, including some of the more important characters. (Kage, Yuki and Yume kind of, if you followed where I talk about them. Same for Belladonna and Daisy).

It would be three different pairs of Nightmare and Dream siblings as the royal family (Nox and Reve, Star and Nova, and a pair we haven't introduced) plus bsp, some star sans poly, and a number of other relationships including OCs we haven't even mentioned lol (also does shattered drink have a special name????) (I've internally joked we're going to get basically every ship out there by the end of everything we want to do with sibverse lol) (remember the sibverse tagline is "how many apple twins can we fit in a castle" well this takes all of those and dumps them in another storyline basically)
