Here's why I'm putting that as a sibling moment - we've seen this squad face down entire cities worth of troopers at this point (Raxus was just 2 episodes ago, and we've seen them take on 3 ships worth of clones too) without even batting an eye. But one sighting of Crosshair and they're all grumbling and that's what throws them in the "we can't pull this off mentality" and I interpret that as coming from the continuing theme of the Batch being so proud of each other's skills and enhancements, they're so in awe of each other, and the only thing that could ever give them a challenge is one of them. He may be their enemy right now, but they still believe in Crosshair's skillset so much that just him makes them decide to abandon the mission

OH MY FUCKING GOD AND AN AVALANCHE OF THOUGHTS JUST CRASHED DOWN ON ME AND I'M TAKING YOU ALL WITH ME

I'd filed away that Shauna has A THING about rabbits. We've seen her kill two, going so far as to expertly skin, disembowel, butcher, and then make a chili out of the thing to serve to her family. (Who loved it when they had no idea what was in it, hello I see you clear parallel.)

Yet we've ALSO seen that Shauna has bunny shit absolutely everywhere, all these tchotchkes that didn't seem to fit. Not only in what we're gathering about her general lifestyle, but in her apparent relationship to rabbits. She hates them! Murderously! But she also cherishes them? Or at least the still, silent representations of them that can't eat her garden.

Couldn't make sense of it, but it was too obviously placed as a contradiction to not make note of it, so note it I did and moved on.

UNTIL NOW AND HOLY SHIT

JACKIE IS THE RABBIT. I've been wondering what happened to her (as I have everyone we haven't also seen in the 2021 timeline), but I feel SUPER confident now saying she's dead dead so fucking dead.

Shauna loves her. They've been best friends for how long?

Shauna is IN love with her. That much was obvious immediately, and is I believe 10000% the reason she hooked up with and later married Jeff. (Can't have the girl? Have the guy who can.)

Shauna hates her. This part I'm shakiest on right now, but if Jackie is the rabbit (JACKIE IS ABSOLUTELY THE RABBIT), then I know it's true. Maybe Shauna hates her because Jackie can't/won't/doesn't return her feelings. Maybe Jackie's kind of selfish and terrible sometimes. Shauna was going to (or was at least wrestling with) passing up Brown to go to whatever shitbag local university Jackie was going to, and was that because Shauna wanted to, or was pressured to, or felt obligated to, or...?

I don't know that piece yet, but I DO know people are complex and can be many things at once, and so even without filling in the details, I have zero problem accepting that Shauna loved and hated Jackie all at the same time.

Bringing us to today. Shauna cherishes the idea of the rabbit, enshrines it almost, while Shauna also kills and eats the rabbit.

So if Jackie is the rabbit (AND JACKIE IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE FUCKING RABBIT), oh that bitch became dinner and I'd lay two shiny quarters that Shauna is the one who took the first bite.

Because how else to love Jackie, to take her in so completely, than literally consume her?

I'M HERE and I need to talk about the hybrid!AU with Carlos. I don't want to be too cliché, but I can only think of wolf!Carlos. I don't know if it fits much, but I feel that a wolf defines Carlos a lot.

Carlos is very hairy, a lot, and his shiny black hair has always attracted people, but many don't like the hair on his legs, arms, armpits, and chest because they consider it to look "unkempt," which obviously it's not true. And he also has lots of pubic hair, and all his previous partners told him that it's uncomfortable and he should shave.

So for a long time he shaved and waxed his entire body in order to please others and not look scruffy and unpleasant. But Carlos was never satisfied, because the hair grows in a matter of days or hours, and he feels naked.

When you met him, he really wanted you to see him as a well-groomed person who can take care of you and himself, that's what his instincts tell him. But you see through him, that's why you don't worry when a couple of days go by and Carlos can't shave or wax himself. Yet Carlos is worried, and he gets nervous when you try to have sex with him. You immediately stop all attempts because he seems uncomfortable, and Carlos is apologizing to you and swearing he's going to take better care of himself as soon as possible to be presentable to you.

You stop him at that point, and have a long conversation with him about how he feels about his body and his hair. You reassure him that his body deserves respect as it is, and that hair is part of him, that he doesn't have to worry if others see him as dirty or scruffy, because they're wrong and he deserves to feel comfortable deciding how he wants to look for himself. same. You assure Carlos that with or without body hair, he will be the most handsome man in the world, your world.

Carlos crying? A little, a little too much. He didn't even expect to cry, but he never imagined meeting someone who would make him feel that safe. And you have already shown that you love his tail and his hair, you not only accept but love his hairy body!!!

Every once in a while you help him trim his pubic hair to a level he's comfortable with, but it sure takes hours because he can't contain his happiness and wag his tail and squirm. Carlos loves that you love him and his body so much.

OH MY GOD WOLF!CARLOS. 🌻, you are a GENUIS. This is incredible. 10000/10.

Firstly, a Wolf suits him perfectly. Not only because of his hair, but because he’s protective and loyal and fights for his family and is absolutely a pack animal. He works best surrounded by others, when there are people to support him and love him and who he can protect.

(And yes that does include you, he’s like a herding dog with you)

Carlos has never had a partner completely fine with his body hair. Sure he’s had some who don’t seem to bothered mostly, but there’s always something.

It just breaks his heart when he wants to cuddle with his partner and they won’t put their head on his naked chest because it’s too hairy. He’s perfectly fine with a partner not wanting to give him head because of pubic hair, but so many of them have pressured him into shaving, saying it’s completely unacceptable that he hasn’t.

Some have even refused to cuddle with him outright because he had too much hair. Especially a few days after he shaves, because then his hair starts to grow and it’s all spoken and uncomfortable.

He’s a wolf! He needs a pack! He needs cuddles and skin to skin, especially from the person he’s in a relationship with and so to be denied that for something he can’t control? He’s so sad. All the time.

And then he meets you, and holy fuck he loves you so so much. So much more than he’s ever felt for anyone else before and he has no idea what he would do if you turned him down.

So he always makes sure to be cleanly shaven everywhere. He literally shaved every single day. He refuses to scare you off. He will not.

But then a few days go by and he doesn’t shave. Maybe you and him go away together? You go to a cabin in the middle of nowhere and just cuddle and fuck and talk and cook ridiculous lavish meals and it’s amazing. It’s absolute heaven for Carlos’s instincts to have you all to himself like that.

And he honestly just… doesn’t get the time to shave? He’s with you the entire time, only leaving you to go the bathroom and that’s it. You shower or bath together, taking full advantage of the private outdoor shower.

Then before he knows it, he’s woken up on the third day and his hair is all prickly and starting to grow back. You haven’t woken up yet, and to his shock you’re still cuddled against his chest, seemingly not caring that the hair is starting to grow back.

After breakfast, he’s trying to figure out how to escape to the bathroom for half an hour or so to shave but he has no idea how. And he doesn’t even want to, because he wants to savour every bit of time he has with you.

You walk up behind him in the kitchen, hugging him from behind and slipping your hand under his to press your hand against his chest. You kiss his neck, clearly trying to have sex and as much as Carlos wants to, he’s scared because he thinks you’ll turn him down for the hair.

He’s had so many partners make him go shave before sex, and as much as he wants sex, he actually doesn’t want to shave? He wants to just stay with you, doesn’t want to have to work so hard to make himself presentable, wants to be accepted just as he is.

You stop of course, realising that Carlos is clearly uncomfortable. He doesn’t want to admit what’s bothering him, but he also can’t lie to you.

The next thing he knows, he’s spilling everything. Your heart just breaks when you hear what’s been going on, how his previous partners had treated him.

You love Carlos!! And you would never, ever expect him to change something about himself that he has no control over.

If he wants to shave, that’s fine. But you wouldn’t want him to think he has to for you. All he has to do for you, is be himself. That’s it. That’s all he has to do.

Before Carlos even knows what’s happening, he’s crying and not just a little either. He’s properly crying, throwing himself in your arms, even his tail is wrapped around you.

He still doesn’t quite believe you, and for the next week or so, he keeps on glancing at you as he grows his hair out again. He keeps on waiting for you to say it’s officially too long. Every night he expects you to decide you won’t sleep on his naked chest, won’t let him tangle his legs with yours, ect.

But that never happens. You act like nothing has changed, because to you, nothing has. He’s still your Carlos.

I feel like during her teenage years, she might have some pent up angst about Jay being absent and unreliable. But also, she’s a smart girl herself and comes to understand why he made the choices he did.

• Ariel believes in unicorns. Like, really believes in them. Fairies, too. She weeps like a baby when Klitz tells her that they’re fake. (It would probably be Klitz, he’s like “well they’re not scientifically correct honey! 🤓” and reader’s like “shut up let her dream.”)

• Speaking of the Klitz family, Tim can only produce girls. Like no matter how many Klitz babies happen, he’s a chronic girl dad. (I feel like he wants a million kids with the reader but she’s like “alright slow your roll bud we can only afford so many.”)

• Peter (he’s a Soph deep cut) and Genevieve are super close. They’re like the good ending version of Annie and Ellen.

• Annie makes Joby a lot more soft. He thinks he’s all rock and roll and no feelings, but he finds himself crying just thinking about her. (Fun fact: my dad used to be in a band and he kept baby pictures of me and my brother pasted to his instrument cases. Joby vibes for sure.)

How is it like to live with Chibi Snood Sephiroth?

Oh hello! I realize that while i go into depth about the Snood AU on twitter all the time, that I'm very quiet about it on here aaaaaa

It is important to understand first and foremost, that the Snood AU is 10000% self indulgent - i love Sephiroth, and I shamelessly ship him with EVERYONE. I am also an avid monster enthusiast.This AU was created primarily as an excuse to shove all my kinks and interests into one neat AU, where Sephiroth is the center of the universe and everyone loves him.

In order to understand what living with him is like, you must first understand the true nature of The Snood! the Big Naga Snood Sephiroth and the tiny Snood Sephiroth are actually one and the same! And while he may appear to be a Naga, he is actually a Deity (inspired by the Quetzalcoatl the winged serpent god - in his true form, The Snood is actually a several hundred meter long impossibly, horrifyingly large multi-winged serpent god.) in my AU, he is the very last of the gods of the land, and so he has to do all the important god things himself while only having a limited understanding of his own powers and this, along with other lore and backstory related things, are constant sources of stress and pain for him. That being said, he CAN still do many things, including changing his size - and shrinking himself down to chibi size is a very necessary escape for him. While in his larger forms he is constantly dealing with the stress of his existence, when he is tiny he can just.. be a little creature.

With that basic explanation outta the way - If you are living with the Snood, then its because you are an active, devoted member of his worshipping cult! He is a god after all, the ONLY surviving one, even, and everyone knows what he is. His most devoted followers have formed a very large and devoted cult (whom i dub The Snoodists) These cultists take care of The Snoods every whim and need, and your interactions with him would likely depend on your ranking among the cultists, and how patient and understanding you are with the troubled and capricious Snood. In his large form, The Snood is levelheaded and fairly calm and exudes a very serene (if intimidating) aura. However in his tiny Snoodling form all that is thrown out the window - The chibi Snood is chaotic, unhinged, and absolutely feral at times. Remember - this tiny form is his escape! he can be as rough and vicious as he wants, knowing that he is unlikely to actually cause any real lasting damage! he is able to be a spoilt brat, and throw tantrums, and ignore responsibilities, and commit atrocities! when he is Snoodling sized, he will snoodle his way wherever he pleases - technically he can do this in his larger forms too, but in his larger forms, there are constant worries and thoughts and traumas (from lore related events) that he cannot tune out -but he CAN tune them out in Snoodling form, due to the much more simplified way that his mind works in this form. he is still intelligent and able to respond to serious emergencies if needed - but he trusts his Snoodists not to bother him during these times unless its a real mass-destruction emergency. being a Snoodist watching over Diminutive Snood is actually very tiring and stressful at times, because he will get into anything and everything - and he will eat a LOT. you must be ready and prepared to provide constant snacks. When in his larger sizes the Snood actually eats very little, because the stress kills his appetite - but in his Snoodling form, he'll eat constantly to make up for all the skipped meals! If the Snoodling thinks you're taking too long to provide a snack he will try to eat you and he will not let go unless you provide a suitable snack instead. He will slither into your shirt (he likes how warm it is in there). he will maul your hand (he likes to play fight). he will pick fights with you hair (it looked at him funny) he will intentionally be difficult and messy (he loves baths and he wants to weed out those who would become close to the Snood purely for clout) It should be noted that there is a rigorous and thorough vetting process for which Snoodists receive clearance to actually be allowed close contact with the Snood - this is because the Snood doesnt actually understand things like personal space and mortal ideals for morality. His mind simply does not work that way, and for everyones safety, Snoodists must know exactly what they are getting into, before settling into a role that suits them.

anyway i could go on about the Snood forever - i have an obscene amount of lore written not only for him but for everyone else too! (for perspective, every single day within the hour of 3am pst, i write a lore thread about this AU on my twitter. I have been doing this for months now.)

I just got back from watching Wakanda Forever and loved it so much. The respect they gave Chadwick, the depiction of grief, the really well fleshed out, very attractive villain (of the story) (a Black Panther staple), the world building... I just loved it.

I just loved it all. And it was so much better paced than some of the more recent marvel works, or at least the long ones.

Yeah. It was... *whew*. I appreciate this being spoiler free cos I'm still trying not to post anything too much until after this next weekend when more people have a chance to see it.

But okay yes. A villain that is only sort of a villain because you kinda agree with his POV and also him so pretty it makes me weep.

The journey of grief for the characters was not only beautiful to see but also sort of cathartic, at the end (not the very end, but the first ending) with the smoke over the water and the way she could breathe... I felt like I could breathe. That movie kept my soul in a stranglehold and then I could finally BREATHE and it was beautiful.

The mid credit scene. I don't even have words yet. Every time I think about it I want to cry again.

OKAY AND LISTEN. LISTEN. Ms. Nakia. In her Haitian dress? OKAY SIS I SEE YOU. In her little mermaid looking battle suit? HAVE MERCY. I physically cannot deal with her. She's just easily one of the most beautiful people I've ever seen in my life.

Ramonda too. Queen Mother may she live forever. That DRESS in that one scene for the UN? The collar and the arm cuffs and her headdress like please GOD. It's too much. A much too much.

As always, Okoye and the Dora. Every time I watch anything Black Panther related I just think "is today the day I shave my head?"

and Also, the outfit Okoye wore when she took Shuri out? The red jumpuit with the super sharp shouldered blazer? Look, idk where I'm gonna get that exact look but I need to wear it immediately. I don't even care WHERE i wear it, I'll wear it to Walmart, fuck. 10000/10 all day long.

M'Baku. He was exactly the perfect example of how to take a very powerful character and give them funny lines and a playful nature without nerfing them or making them annoying. His character growth ALONE made this movie worth watching. The difference between M'Baku who challenged T'Challa and insulted Shuri in 1 and this M'Baku? God tier. And like, I can't ever see him with out thinking about that tweet about him m'blowing my back out and it was true in 2018 and it's true right now THANK YOU.

Yeppppp this actually felt like a good MCU movie again. Excellent pacing, sweeping visuals and a beautifully intense story, character development, even the token white guy was great. It's nice to have a story that feels... grounded? Like we've been having space battles and multiverse bullshit it was really nice to be sort of firmly planted back on Earth. Even Namor's whole thing-- it feels "realistic" alongside a nation like Wakanda so it didn't feel like a reach, not like how IW and EG and how the more recent spidermen movies have felt.

The tribute to Chadwick was so respectfully done. Absolutely beautiful.

Hey!! Thanks for your time. So I was wondering how I would write the code for something where I want the chances of success to be based on a percentage. I'm trying to implement lottery tickets, and I need it to have a 0.09% chance of success. And also, how would I make it so you get a different response for each outcome? Like if you failed to get one, I want your buddy to say "aw that's too bad, maybe next time!" And if not I want everyone to freak out, plus the earnings to be added. Thank you!!

The answer to your question, at least the percentage part, is a matter of the randint() function in the Python library. In this case, you want something to happen only 1 in so many times. For example, 1 in 10 is a 10% chance. To simulate this in code, you can have the interpreter pick a random(note this isn’t true randomness, but it’s good enough for a video game we aren’t making a cyber security system!) number between 1 and 10. If it comes out to one number and one number only, then you pass the check. This makes it a 10% chance, just like if you rolled a 10 sided die. 

For your .09% chance(very rare!), it would be 1 in ~1,100 chance.(.090909...%). So if you have Python pick a number between 1 and 1,100 and check to see if it’s one specific number, then you’ll have your lottery win.

The easiest way to implement this in game is to record the results of the 1 in 1,100 chance inside a function wrapper so that you can call it multiple times and they can check lots of tickets.

In order to use the randint() function from the random library, you just need to invoke it! It’s a part of Renpy’s library. So you’d type renpy.random.randint(1,1100) like above. :)

Once that is done in your game code itself you’ll put the logic for the winning number. Let’s say it’s 42, for meme reasons. 

You could write in your game file:

label check_ticket:    $ ticket = Lottery_Ticket()    if ticket == 42:        jump you_win    else:        jump you_lose

This simple logic sets the ticket equal to the result of the Lottery_Ticket function. It then checks if the number is exactly the winning number you chose. If so, it takes you to the winning section of your game code, if not, it falls through and says you lose.

Every time they buy a ticket, you can send them to this label, it will re-run the Lottery_Ticket function anew, picking a new random number, and see if they won.

Under your winning code, since you asked, this is where you’d put your characters reacting positively! Note the thing in brackets is the player character’s name as a variable being interpolated by the engine. If you let the player pick their own name, that’s how you’d get it into the script. If they have a set name, just type that instead.

As you see, I’m using to functions. One that comes with Ren’Py calls in the notify screen context through the function. It needs to be a string inside which is why I’ve turned the int representing the lottery winnings into a string here.(This assumes you have a variable called “lottery_winnings” that has a specific integer value! Please initialize one before the start of your game!) (example: $ lottery_winnings = 10000)

The second is me assuming that you have an Inventory class instance with a method called “add” that can add money into a wallet variable. To make something like that:

init python:    class Inventory(python_object):        def__init__(self, wallet = 0):            self.wallet = wallet            self.pocket = []            def add(num):            self.wallet += num            return self.wallet

Then you just need an instance of it:$ Inv = Inventory() (I wrote it with defaults, so you don’t need to pass any arguments to the instance when you make it, though you are welcome to pass an INTEGER to it when you instantiate it so that your character starts with a certain amount of money. :D )

Then you can call the method on the variable to add the earnings to their wallet. :) 

There’s also an empty pockets list inside of the inventory you can use to store the string names of objects they also own. For something like that:

$ Inv.pocket.append(”apple”)

This will add a string called “apple” to the pocket list inside the inventory. Which you can use to check if they “own” an object by checking if it is in the list.

if ‘apple’ in Inv.pocket:    .......

But that’s more detail for another time. 

You need to put the class in an init python block before the game starts so that you can make an instance of it to manipulate later.

For not winning, just have the ‘you_lose’ label have the dialogue you wanted.

label you_lose:       e “Aw, that’s too bad. Maybe next time!”

And then continue on with the rest of the game.

It was all the way back when I started thinking of this au making it the first few things I ever thought about in the lens of gameplay and lore wise. I figured I’d follow how they implemented Adachi’s SL and mimic that-ish.

In the way that Social Links and Arcana are affected by the Velvet Room’s guest’s perception of their bond, the nature of the relationship itself etc etc. It’s what gives them strength and in P4’s context, helps bancho find the truth.

By definition “nullity” could mean “nothingness” “insignificance” “nonentity” “a thing of no importance or worth” where I just hoped it would be the opposite to “anybody” or “everything”

that being said if this social link was ever implemented into the game players would fucking hate it for how stupid volatile it is <- thought about gameplay

while it’s incredibly easy to garner points since whatever the fuck you say to their face wouldn’t really matter, the schedule is so intertwined with the story itself if you missed the dates to rank up one rank the whole social link would just be gone from your SL menu and it would’ve been like there was never an attendant to begin with

you keep the attendant part time job just . without the attendant. they even stop showing up when it rains they’re just fucking out of there they’re done with you

not only is there a strict schedule but also dumb prerequisites to each rank like initiating Justice or getting Jester to rank 3 not only do you have to worry about the day but if you’ve gotten those ready or not <- dumbass hypothetical game mechanics <- is the one that thought of the game mechanics

BUT if you do it all right and get it to rank 9 you’re technically fine and Yomotsu-Hirasaka becomes Yomotsu-Hirafuckedup and is worse than the Hollow Forest itself gamefaqs worst jrpg dungeon of the decade. If you choose the right dialogue options maybe you’ll a good bad ending where someone theoretically dies but it continues like the game’s True ending or maybe you get Nullity to rank 10 and it becomes the Universe and you get a special key to unlock episode izanami on persona four arena ultimax for free and the whole story completely diverges from there

moving the hypothetical gameplay aside, i make mim go through their own’s fool’s journey if you know a thing or two about the actual tarot. that makes three clowns and a judge at the gas station it’s a circus at that point (gave Namatame Adjustment tarot, Thoth equivalent of Justice)

while i also understand the weight of the World and Universe arcana in the Persona-verse itself i like to mess around and give mim the universe hehe (i am pulled off stage probably) i think it’d be cool to see another fool complete their journey and receive the world

It’s been just over a week since I started playing TotK and I’ve surprised myself with how connected I feel to the two main characters, though I still haven’t unravelled its full story. I loved BotW but felt very little emotional connection to its storyline. All I really felt it was was flashbacks of Zelda being stressed and depressed and generally feeling unconfident and unhappy. Her awful English VA didn’t help, but even when I played in Japanese I didn't feel that much. 

Didn’t feel a huge amount for the champions either. Found most of them dull and one-dimensional. TotK really worked on that? I’m still figuring out my feelings about it all. But I know that I am very interested in what information the glyphs hold because that story is one that Zelda is gaining control and confidence of, rather than spiralling towards disaster.

I absolutely loved Riju and her dungeon, what a glow-up. Was hoping she would maybe talk more about Ganondorf being Gerudo, but oh well.

Having an enemy who is clever and ambitious is 10000% more compelling than a mindless creature. That was definitely what BotW was missing. It’s tied everything together. Having champions who are directly involved in the story and stay with you, and their story is about THEM, makes me enjoy their quests so much more. Though I haven’t finished the game yet so shh. 

What that master sword glyph was hinting at shocked me. Could it be true? That's an absolutely staggering concept, I stared at the wall for a while. I have so many thoughts, but I need to hurry up and finish this game but it’s just so huge!

I know phantom ganon is waiting for me in the castle and I can’t wait. I love a classic phantom ganon fight. Nintendo somehow simultaneously breaks the mould and sticks with a formula. 

I wish Link had more visible reactions to the story points that go on around him involving Zelda, but I get that he is meant to be an avatar for the player to fill in. 

I headcanon that about 5 years have passed since BotW based on the things that have been built and Mattison’s age. But how much time has passed since Link and Zelda vanished? Still trying to figure that one out, because was Lookout Landing built during their disappearance? And all those towers? It’s confusing!

God I wish I could call my horse wherever I am, it’s a weird system.

It’s great that the camera on the Purah Pad has improved, but man it would be a dream to get a proper photo mode!
