okay. unfortunately, he’s not going to put photos of you publicly like in the vip room in mostro lounge.

he’s not embarrassed of you! he just doesn’t find the need to display you everywhere (as much as he wants to).

however, he’ll definitely have a small photo or two of you in his wallet. one of the photos is just you, and the other one would be a photo of him AND you.

(my definition: he gets to carry you around like a pocket chibi in his wallet /j)

can't really see the guy having pics of you plastered all over his walls, if somebody walked in and saw that he would absolutely DIE (which is why he can't do that).

but on his nightstand beside his bed, he'll have a small framed photo of you. azul always wishes you a goodnight everytime he heads to bed, wishing that both you and him have the sweetest of dreams.

i can't really see him as the type of guy who takes many photos. he's more of the, "spend time together for memories" instead of "take photos for memories" type.

however, if you want him to take more portraits of you, he won't exactly be opposed. after all, he does enjoy making you happy (as well as having memories that he can actually look back at)

jade probably does have a photo of you in his wallet, but the problem is that it's probably hidden behind several cards and receipts, so he'd likely never get the chance to even see the photo while opening his wallet.

but what he DOES have a framed photo of you on the wall. it's not tremendously large, but it's average sized. of course, framed with silver and pearls as decoration. you deserve to look beautiful on his wall!

just joking, this is floyd we're talking about. do you really think he wouldn't take so many photos?

they're ALL on his phone, and he has a LOT too. from the extremely blurry ones from his chasing you, to the really good quality ones, you name it! they're all entirely in his gallery.

he likes specifically taking photos from the top angle (you know how you hold your camera above your head and look at it?) because it makes you look much shorter than him. you could even be 1 centimeter shorter and he'll still take those photos just to emphasize how small you are to him.

refuses to delete any of the bad shots if it includes you in it (unless you're the one asking him to). what do you mean he doesn't need 24 blurry photos of you running away from him?

anyways, he has the most photographs out of the trio. simply because he takes away too many photos, needed or not.

friendly reminder to not let him steal your phone or else you'll have 56 photos of him goofing around by the time you get it back.

Do you like elaborate Victorian architecture? Then this might be a world for you. Alternatively, are you OK with utterly destroying elaborate Victorian architecture and creating a beautiful natural environment for fairies or merpeople instead? Then this also might be a world for you. :)

In general, I really like this creator's worlds. They're usually small, (mostly) empty, often roadless, and they're always beautifully decorated with a riot of dense, colorful flora and pretty waterfalls and such. If you like such worlds, I highly recommend that you take a look at the other worlds on this creator's blog, too, as well as the lots they have up for download. I use this creator's worlds often to make naturalistic fairies-only worlds, which is something I like to play sometimes. They're perfect for that.

This one, however, is suitable for humans because it has houses and rabbitholes and such. However, as you might have guessed, I have also used it as a dedicated world for merpeople, after bulldozing all the existing lots, creating a more natural living environment, and adding some diving lots. The mers swim between the islands to get where they're going, and because the islands are close together, it doesn't take too long to swim between them, so it works beautifully.

The world's download page also has a lot of pics of the world, so you can look at them there, too. (As usual, the title of this post is a link to the world's download page.) I'm not sure if/how those pics are edited and/or what sort of lighting mods and such the creator used for their pics, if any, so I'm posting pics taken in my own game with my lighting mod and my minimalist Reshade and such. Between the two sets of pics, hopefully you'll get an idea of how the place might look in your own game. :)

Note: This world does use some CC, all made by the world's creator. I'm not going to say it's required, because it's outdoor plants, but if you don't have them, you will lose some of the "look" of the lots. The CC isn't included in the world but is rather linked to on the world's download page. However, when you go to those pages, you'll likely get a security warning from your browser/antivirus. It may or may not be false positives. Either way, my computer is like Fort Knox, so I just barge right through. :)

I don't generally reupload non-Exchange worlds with these overviews, especially not for creators who are still active (though Visty has moved on to TS4), but I'm making an exception here because of the possible security issues. So, I'm reuploading a folder with the CC in .package format along with a .world file for the world. The file is here. The .world file goes in your install files under GameData - Shared - NonPackaged - Worlds, while the CC .package files go in with all your other CC. I made it so that the CC is separate from the .world file, so that you can decide whether or not you want to install the CC. I recommend that you do if you're going to keep the world as-is -- if you're going to tear it all down, obviously you won't need the CC :) -- and I installed the CC to take the pics on this post, but it's up to you. It's only 10 files, total, nine plants and an arbor. The plants are mostly climbing roses for walls/columns/porches and roses that drape over the arbor. So, if you like Victorian/cottage-y kind of feels, the CC would probably be useful to you in general.

According to its download page and Google Translate (because the download page is in Czech, and I don't speak Czech), the world requires World Adventures, Pets, Supernatural, Seasons, and University Life. I don't think it has any Store content. The most important EP to have is Supernatural because each island in the world has a LLAMA box or two on it. So unless you want your sims constantly using water taxis to get anywhere, you'll want Supernatural installed for this world. Plus, many of the rabbitholes and much of the build/buy stuff is from Supernatural.

The world is roadless. There are footpaths on some of the larger islands, but mostly you're meant to travel to the different lots via the LLAMA boxes. Because of the nature of the world, I would recommend using NRaas Register to disable strays and wildlife in the world. They will just get stuck if you don't.

I'm not sure how big the world is overall. I think it might be 1024x1024, but whatever the case, the playable area is a collection of small islands clustered together, as you can see in the pics. Thanks to combo rabbitholes, the world does manage to squeeze in most of the base game rabbitholes. It doesn't have a diner, a stadium, or a mausoleum. It doesn't have an equestrian center, but horses wouldn't be practical in this world, anyway. And it doesn't have the Supernatural rabbitholes, but those and a mausoleum are easy enough to plop down somewhere, if you want them.

The world has no spawners except for fish. Even minor pets do not spawn. This is typical of Visty's worlds, for whatever reason. So, if you want collectibles and minor pets and such, you'll need to add spawners yourself.

There are 15 pre-placed lots, total. Other than the two rabbithole lots, they are residential or empty. There are six pre-built residential lots (If Google translated the Czech on the download page correctly, the residential lots were made by a different creator) and seven empty lots to do with as you please. Most of the pre-built lots are fully furnished/decorated, but one is completely empty and one is semi-empty inside.

You might want to use some of the empty lots to build/place other kinds of community lots -- Like a graveyard, for instance -- because the world has none of them. It is also possible to add more lots, especially on the islands that have none and especially if you want to add some lots that extend into the water and then build some ports/houseboats or over-the-water lots on stilts. But, there are also some spots on some of the islands where you could squeeze in small lots completely on land, too, if you need more lots. Such added lots will likely not be flat, however. The islands that only have pre-placed empty lots on them already have LLAMA boxes placed off-lot, in the world, like so:

So, you don't have to worry about adding them to the lots you build/place buildings on the pre-placed empty lots.

Personally, while the lots are creatively built, lavishly landscaped, and very pretty to look at, I'm not in love with them. Partly, this is because I detest Victorian-style architecture but it's mostly because the houses just don't seem practical for playing purposes. Those that are fully furnished and decorated are cluttered and pretty cramped inside, with sunken spaces and small rooms that I can see sims getting stuck in. Or, it's likely that a pair of sims will have to walk a bit to find a spot that's large enough that they can do the routing necessary to have a conversation. Plus, about half of them only have one bedroom, despite being large. So, it would maybe be great if you're playing the world as a retirement island for wealthy elders or if you're just using it as a set/backdrop for period storytelling, but for regular playing with families? I'm thinking not. This is why I was happy to bulldoze the lots and reimagine the entire world, but maybe it will be your cup of tea just as it is.

Mood of the day has been TICKET STRESS! With LT tour ticket sales upon us with little time to prepare and much confusion about what the hell is going on, tensions are running high. But the pre-sale codes were finally sent out to most places and fans in the first countries to go on sale successfully got tickets so it's slightly calmer now. To everyone trying tomorrow: may the odds be ever in your favor.

Louis has added another performance! He's playing the Phoenix AZ Jingle Bash on Dec 9. Video of fans from the WMI listening parties has been posted. WMI is Amazon song of the day! And in interviews: he says that WMI is the second of FOUR singles, so we can expect another after DLIBYH (which he said will be out in Nov) and probably the video series is four parts. He says he spends AN HOUR A DAY reading fan messages and that he'd like to find an unknown/unsigned band to open for him for the UK or US legs of tour to give them a boost. We found out why Noel Gallagher is credited on Walls; as suspected it's because of a melody similarity and not any work he and Louis did together. Louis said it was ironic cause he's a Liam Gallagher fan mostly but that they asked if it was ok and Noel said yes, "I thought it was fucking cool, I was expecting him to just say no." Late Late Show is tonight and early reports make it sound fun and that's all, no big drama. Ben Winston got everyone riled up teasing something exciting on the show tonight but, spoiler, it isn't anything exciting. Build interviewer Kevan Kenney tweets that he has Louis news tomorrow. Louis took fan pics and hung out a little bit outside the LLS taping.

Liam's anime lyric video was mysteriously reuploaded to YouTube, so all the previous view counts were lost, and even more mysteriously the description included A LOT of lyrics from the upcoming album, just a massive dump of song lyrics. WTF happened over there?? MTV is teasing a Liam interview for tomorrow with some cool clips of a fun looking photoshoot (that white suit and Panama hat! whoa) and an interview clip in which he talks about the difficulties of dating in the public eye. He also shows us through his shoot wardrobe, stopping on a patterned suit to give a little wink to Harry ("I feel like I know someone would wear it better.")

Niall congratulated Lewis Capaldi on finally making it number one in the US, tells us to "smile all the time" because "it's good for ya," and says he's been listening to his own album at the gym because he's working on mixes currently. He posted and quickly deleted a dimly lit selfie making a weird face OOPS.

We got a picture of Harry in his stage clothes from the Jools Holland taping- it's the FOURTH (4th) iteration of the same outfit in a different color scheme, amazing! The high waisted button trousers, glittery blouse and wide braces combo was in soft purples and pinks on this occasion. The similarity to a certain David Bowie era was again noted.

And in the most unexpected revelations of the day, a Julian Bunetta podcast casts a familiar song in a whole new light. He talks about nearly leaking the entirety of Midnight Memories by accident but does not mention the time he actually was responsible for No Control leaking and talks about writing for 1D at great length without ever acknowledging them having participated in songwriting, but the big story is about the writing of She's Not Afraid. He says the house next to the studio they were working in was being used for a porn shoot and they "didn't want to be creeps" so they were sneaking around in the bushes peeking through the windows because they felt that would be "more respectful" to the female actress, hmm yes that sounds about like Julian's idea of respecting women, and then they wrote the song about a made up version of her in their minds. Respectful is... definitely the word is have chosen for all that, YOU BET. Anyway he also says the Calabasas house was bought by Liam and that's who lived in it.

Reflection 15

Hello!

Welcome back to my final lab reflection post!  Time goes by so fast, it seems like just the other day I was sitting down here writing my very first post… 

For our final lab, lab 15, we had to do collaborative coding of a website.  My partner, Rachel, and I decided to recreate 2 Instagram pages, both the profile page and a post page for “ralphthecorgi”. 

At first I didn't like the idea of collaborative coding, but I got paired with a great partner; we got along really well and had the whole thing done way sooner than I expected.  Once I started working on it, it really wasn’t that difficult at all, and GitHub really isn’t very complicated at all.  

I feel like I definitely felt the most accomplished after this lab.  Coding it took lots of trial and error, and debugging, but I finally got it!

One part that I was particularly proud of was the related accounts boxes at the bottom of the profile page.  Originally I had just had 6 small grey image boxes to fill up the space.  But then I saw Rachel’s post on the post page of the profile pic and text inside a big box…. And I wondered if I could do that same thing inside the thumbnail images I had created…. And YES! Based on the coding I already knew, the coding I already did, and by looking at Rachel’s code I was able to figure it out without having to research or look anything up.  That when it clicked that I really understood what I was doing - incredible to have come this far in just 3.5 months.  It looks really good and I have so much pride in what we are turning in.  

I also spend like 2 hours trying to center a stupid navbar.  I looked stuff up, watched videos, messed with it a ton...and nothing.  I could get it on the right or the left but never in the center… I was able to accomplish so much I was astounded that this is the part that tripped me up.  I finally broke down and texted Rachel for help!  

Rachel finished her part Sunday afternoon and then all I had to do was upload it to cPanel.  Easy right? Yeah that’s what I thought….. I went to my www folder on cPanel. Ok.  Made a new folder and called it bootstrap. Ok.  I uploaded all of the files I had been working on to that new folder. Ok.  That should be it…… but when I opened it on my laptop it had the pink styling of my rhody.dev site.  #confused.  I texted Rachel to ask her how she uploaded hers.. She said she hadn’t done it yet but since my stylesheet on both sites was called stylesheet.css she suggested to update one to change the name to stylesheet1.css.  That made sense….

That was probably the worst thing I could have done.

Do you have those moments where you wish you could go back in time and tell yourself not to do something?  

This would be one of those times. 

I didn’t want to mess up my new lab 15 so I changed the stylesheet on my rhody.dev site from stylesheet.css to stylesheet1.css and hit save, I updated the CSS link on all of my rhody.dev pages so it would still connect, saved them and reuploaded them all to cPanel.  

Everything. Broke. 

What have I done? 

Nervous breakdown and panic sweats ensued. 

I frantically tried to switch everything back to what it was. What a mess.  

I emailed Victoria to ask for a zoom meeting for help, which is what I honestly should have done before messing with things. She said that we will meet in the morning to fix things.  

I made it almost the whole semester without an issue - too good to be true.  So hopefully she will help me restore my website.  If not I can always send the links from my laptop to be graded. And as long as they are all put in the same folder they can be seen and working.  I tried it with my friend so I know I can still show my work.  Or just look at Rachel’s and check the GitHub to see all the work I did to contribute.

Now we just have our wireframe presentation and to turn in our final project.  Wow.  If I had this much trouble adding the lab 15 site, God bless me trying to add my final project.  

Wish me luck as I try to close out this semester just as strong as I have been getting through it.
