Ok till the moment I answer this question, the amount of AU increase to 14 AU =)))))))

Nate did draw sketches for some AU in the list, we will break it down for you.

1. Hellaver Secret

This AU started our Hellaverse Journal, it is the combination of Hazbin Hotel and an anime called Spy x Family. Mixing the lore of both media to create a plot that balances between fantasy and slice of life . The main couple in this AU is RadioApple, JusticeStatic is only a side dish that we came up with as a joke at first.

Basically, in this AU, Samael gave up his position as a Seraphim to become a normal human and changed his name to Lucifer. He's currently an assassin, a daughter he has with his long lost wife - Charlie, a telepath that can read people's mind and Lucifer form a fake marriage with a man named Alastor - a spy in disguise.

Michael is still an Archangel in this AU, he came down to Earth to bring his brother back to Heaven and somehow agreed to a business deal with Alastor's coworker - Vox. Even tho they hate each other, they still try to work things out because they both want to break the fake Morningstar couple.

3. Band AU

This is a human AU. All the Heaven siblings decided to create a rock band called Octagrams. Michael is the drummer of the band and Vox at first was their anti, like the kind of anti that will stalk you from behind. Vox is actually a very successful businessman but he's also a stalker cuz c'mon, it's Vox.

4. Students AU

They are high school students in this AU, and yes, Vox is older than Michael in most of our human AU. In this AU, Vox is a 12 grader student while Michael is in grade 10. If anyone wondering then no, they are not dating till later when they're both legal adults with jobs.

Michael: I think you should give up on that school already.

Vox: Shut up kid, I'm trying to concentrate.

5. Hotel Supervisor

In this AU, Michael already knew Vox when the TV was still alive. Michael has to come down Earth to do his jobs and somehow Vox was his next-door neighbor. Long story short, they then fell in love but in the end, Vox died and became a demon in Hell. Then, one day, Michael got a direct message from God ordering him to come down to the hotel, keep an eye on it and decide whether the hotel deserved a chance to prove redemption is possible. Vox then knew about Michael's appearance at the Hotel... After a long time of thinking carefully, he decided to knock on the hotel's door.

7. The contract

Michael is currently having a headache about the last extermination, about his brother and his niece, about their resistance, which could cause a misunderstanding for Heaven and made God think they want to rebel against Heaven. Michael needed to know what was happening in Hell as soon as possible and Vox was the most suitable choice for this job.

8. Soulmate AU

When humans turn 18, some of them will appear a small mark at their wrist, the mark that represent their soulmate. But love has never been easy, not everyone with the mark can find their soulmate because all the mark does is glow when your soulmate is making love with someone that is not you and you will be able to feel a faint electric shock when you meet them. The mark will disappear the moment your soulmate passes away.

Vox got his mark when he was 18. Some of his friends were jealous of him but all he felt was empty and annoyed. If anything, Vox is never the one who trusts in destiny and fate. Same with his soulmate - Michael, Archangel Michael got his mark as a gift from God but he never paid much attention to it. He didn't understand why God gave him this? The idea of himself getting attached to someone on first sight is something Michael can't even imagine.

So they both waited for the day that their mark disappeared so they would no longer be bound to a stranger anymore.

But things never go as they expected...

Destiny must be crazy when it thought that tying an Archangel and a Sinner together was a good idea.

9. Get rid of you

Michael is currently a third year law student in this AU. One day, his younger sibling Gabriel thinks it's a good idea to fill that empty fish tank in his brother's house with some fish in some skeptical looking pet shop. Lilttle did the Morningstar siblings know the mini shark they picked up at the store that day was actually a demon in disguise.

10. Roommate AU

Vox, the Static Demon and Archangel Michael got summoned to Earth in another universe where Heaven and Hell didn't exist by a mysterious cult. Because they both came from the same universe so it's best that they stick together to survive in this familiar yet strange world. It took all of Vox's neuron nerve to convince Michael and after thinking carefully about his current situation, Michael knew he will have a better chance at getting back to his world if he co-operate with an Overlord and a better chance at blending in the human world with the help of someone who used to be a human. So even though he despised Vox's existence but for his future benefits, Michael is going to spare Vox's life.

So the two began to live together to find a way to come back to their world and to survive in this society without drawing any attention to their existence.

11. Guardian Angel

In this AU, all the siblings are the guardian angels for the humans.

Inspired by an anime called "Your Name". Basically, it depicts the story of two college students, Michael and Vox, who suddenly swap bodies despite having never met the other, unleashing chaos onto each other's lives.

If you're wondering why they're doing weird expressions that doesn't match their personality is because in the pic, these two losers are swapping bodies, Vox in Michael's body and vice versa.

13. The Moving Castle

Inspired by an anime named "Howl's Moving Castle". Vox is an overly confident man who is cursed to have a demon body with a TV head by a spiteful witch. His only hope of breaking the spell is meeting a powerful, cold and distant wizard that travels around in his moving castle.

Michael's mind is filled with doubts when he sees Vox. He couldn't believe this vile man in front of him was the one he had been searching all alone and the one who could break his curse.

14. Apocalypse AU

Take place in the post-apocalypse world where almost everything was destroyed but with advanced technology. In this AU, Vox is a mad scientist and Michael is a soldier in a poor and small area.

So Michael and his siblings in this AU were all slaves when they were small. Some were sold to by dealer or black market and others came from a corrupted lab or were kidnapped. Because the 8 of them were locked in the same cage and all of them were around the same age so they got close with each other really quickly. (In this AU Michael and Lucifer are still twins) After knowing each other for a while, Lucifer came up with the idea that all of them should have a unique tattoo so even if they got split up in the future, they will still be able to recognize each other. So time passed, one by one was sold but the place collapsed before Michael got sold. And so he was able to escape then got adopted by a soldier.

Time passed, he became one of the protectors, an excellent and skilled soldier of the area. But one day, some people in the area started to go missing and Michael has been assigned the task of finding those missing people. And he was able to track Vox down. Vox noticed there has been some annoying rat following him lately, not to mention being the first to come this close to him in the first place. So he asked his old pal Alastor - a famous hitman to deal with Michael.

Then "BANG" - a clean bullet through the head, taking away Michael's life. Vox was not going to let Michael's body going to waste so what better way to reuse the body than to create a hybrid monster (The reason why Vox want to create a monster is because he remembered Al used to tell him a long time ago that he wondered how a monster tasted like. So Vox thought maybe if he created a monster and served it to Alastor, perhaps he could fix his relationship with Alastor)

So a monster was created and so did a broken screen. (Vox did change his screen later, don't worry) What will they face together afterward? What will the future hold? What kind of madness, wacky adventure and people awaiting them? It is something that they need to go through together in the future...

I've also loved worldbuilding and creature design since I was a little kid who was notably bad at it due to being a child. I adored the trend for pokemon fusions and variants when they came through and I was doing them even before they were a huge trend - I filled out books of the things in high school! But not every artist or fanartist particularly starts on similar routes. Sometimes they don't have creative friends to essentially trebuchet their development into creature design early on.

It's not something I can pretend everyone has a penchant for and can just do on a whim - it takes a particularly malleable thought process to just decouple what is into what could be, and how far you can or even want to stretch that. But everyone has to start somewhere! I believe my journey of deathclaw designs started in 2016 as just a tiny scratch on the surface from 'what if they were different behaviourally' to 'what if they were different... visually' - when my only major inputs for design ideas were fallout 4/NV and skyrim, and it showed. Strong designs come from 'what is the purpose of it in this setting' and you reverse engineer traits shared by real or fantasy (and therefore a chain reaction of traits shared by real) animals - and you can only reverse engineer using what you know!

So - save the deathclaw variants as inspiration but also! Make a huge folder of things. Pad it out with a bunch of stuff. Build a visual library. See what other artists are doing with their concepts (this is probably also why monster hunter is so popular, because it has an ecological niche that makes it feel believable) and let that color the world you're trying to build. Let yourself go 'ok this artist did this. so what if I did something similar, with a different color scheme or scale type or animal part? what if it lived somewhere else, how would that affect it?' God knows the bethesda presentation of fallout is incredibly two dimensional and the worldbuilding needs all the help it can get

it's how you get insane premises for fics, AUs, and tabletop campaigns alike - by stepping off the beaten path and showing how much you understand the world when your concepts that fuck it up can still maintain a cohesive and believable presence in it. Though it's still a lot of effort to take any steps along this journey, which is why a lot of people don't like start u_u

I just started watching White Collar for the first time and a realization about most male written and directed media smacked me DIRECTLY in the face which is that SO MUCH media written by a for men is genuinely just male nerd self insert, non-canon compliant, AU fan fiction??????

Which is incredibly ironic because anytime media portrays women or the world in the female gaze in a more “in my ideal world things would be like this” instead of portraying us as nothing but weak, broken, unloved, traumatized, victims OR one dimensional sex symbols with no needs or emotions they’re screaming, crying, throwing up about how stupid and unrealistic the story is….

This explains SO MUCH about how male characters are handled in shows like Veronica Mars and Buffy. The AU doesn't exactly stick to the typical medival fantasy world, I had an idea about vulcan/elves and humans not coexisting very well. And vulcans can do the typical magic spells so humans have to make manmade magic (ie. That big thing on scottys back and all of mcoy and chapels potions)

This probably got him attention from the wrong crowd and his moving from place to place life style becomes more of a on-the-run thing. Oops!

OK I KNOW THIS IS A LITTLE WIERD IN A FANTASY but this was around the time I was leaning more medival than fantasy (because I love history) and was thinking- what did medival doctors do? Medival times was kind of the plague era.....riiiiighhttt..?? Anywaayy there's some magical plague going around in the background probably more near where Chapel and Mccoy are from. He travels the lands in search for people to help! He specializes in potions- thought not his favorite medicine but the only thing that can combat the sickness. He's just a very tired old man that wants to help people <3

OK SO UM THIS ONES VERY MEDIVAL BUT WHATEVER WERE ALREADY DOING IT!! Chapel lived in the same area as Mccoy, living as a nun (secrets out I don't care about history I just love nuns) Among the many nun things her favorite was helping the local doctor out as a nurse. She grew very knowledgeable about medicine, and with her previous knowledge of magic as a nun they both came up with a (sort of) cure to the plague. But oops! Blasfamy! As the church decided the plague was actually an act of God! So with the help from the doctor they both ran away, searching for people that needed (more like wanted) their help!

It's a little wierd but I hope atleast somone found this intresting!! It's all I could think about for days lol😭 if anyone wants to talk about it or just their own ST AUs I would be SO open for that PLS

And the characters that were followed for the first chunk of the story were just living too far from the capital. And even then, it would be start of steampunk, mostly it's just the mecha dragons

Ok so story would start with Eggsy living in your run of the mill isolated/poor village in your generic fantasy-medieval setting. You'd get hint of like dragons being those tyranic overlord and you would think 'oh ok, fantasy setting with opressive fantastical beasts as rulers' and you'd hear also about the legendary blue dragons, dragons who are supposed to uphold the law or something and how they were betrayed but they are totally gonna come back to free then from tyrany.

There's even been some rumors about one distant village who was freed recently from tyranic golden dragon Valentine and that they might be protected by a blue dragon. Its only rumors though and Eggsy had never even heard of the village's name before so who knows. Oh, oh and we would learn that Lee was killed when the tyrant dragons first did their coup to seize control of the continent

Anyway, while Eggsy sometimes have some fantasy of getting to work with one of the fame blue dragons (who according to legend only let the most worthy ride them), Eggsy is no damsel in distress. He's not waiting on anyone to save him and his loved one so of course he joined the resistance.

But then one fateful night, the resistance who was either betrayed or not as careful as they should be gets attacked! By golden dragon Valentine himself no less, not just some of his army! He's come to personally squish the resistance and make an example out of them considering the rising unrest and the renewed hope from the rumors of blue dragons being back!!

All is lost and Eggsy is sure to die and his village completely destroy until right at the last moment, bam!

In comes a blue dragon! The day is saved!

Except not really, because the blue dragon gets trashed by Valentine!

Eggsy runs to the blue dragon, maybe in shock, maybe out of stupidity, maybe bravery, who knows, not even himself.

Anyway, he goes to the fallen blue dragon and that's when the description for what he sees becomes mechanical in nature (before the dragons were just describe in size, colors, power and shape), describing debris and cogs and stuff.

He gets to the head and gasp! He finds a human inside! It's James (probably dead, sorry James)! And like the dragon is trashed but there is still power humming through it and Eggsy knows nothing about it but he's done much more stupid things in his life! So he takes James place inside the dragons head and tries to do control the dragon via the neural link (Eggsy of course doesnt know any of this, he just needs to fight and protect and feels himself connect to the dragon and instinctively start to fight Valentine)

And the blue dragon is trashed but it's not destroyed and Eggsy has no finesse, but he's desperate and he manages to hurt Valentine enough to make him retreat!

So yeah, Eggsy manages to drive Valentine away for now and maybe he passes out because he's not used to controlling a dragon? And when he comes back to, it's to a second blue dragon and its rider Harry Hart who asks him how he feels about joining their ranks and overthrow the tyranic dragons?

And like there could be so many wordlbuilding thrown in about what makes the dragon a certain color (their building material mostly and oh wouldn't it be neat if the blue dragons would be made from some kind of meteorite? They were the first made and every subsequent dragon have some of those meteorite because that's what allows a mental link to control such big constructs? And all the other are copycats) and Chester King being the leader of the blue dragons but ending up being a traitor because of course

And oh!! Why were the blue dragons defeated/pushed back? What if its actually a full-blown sci-fi and the blue dragons and their riders come from outer space? And their technology fell into the wrong hands on this planet and only a few could come and help make things right because there is a full-blown interstellar war happening at the same time?

Eggsy feeling like Harry and Merlin aren't telling him everything and yes it's true they aren't, because they're alien and the reveal comes when Harry gets hurt in a way that should kill him but he gets better because of his alien physiology and with the planet liberated from the tyranic dragons, well they gotta go back to space to help with the war efforts and would Eggsy like to join?

And maybe James wouldnt be dead either thanks to that.

And then you get to the space warzone and that's where you get to meet Roxy and Tilde and just yeah

1. Dieter Bravo - he enjoys horrible jokes and puns, touches all the things and people, has his robe, is an artist and he doesn’t always do drugs. He’s sensitive and smarter than people think okay?! He’s the little grabby trash panda that can! 🦝 Dieter likes to roll with what his partner does in the bedroom but on occasion, he’ll take charge. He enjoys surprises in and out of the bedroom.

2. Frankie Morales - he’s usually a pilot, sometimes a mechanic. Always does something with his hands. Those hands they take machines and bodies apart. No longer in combat, as a civilian. Sometimes it’s on a car or plane that they pull things apart. Other times, it’s the body of his partner as he makes them call and cry for him. He also isn’t good with his words so he’s more about actions though it can get kinda muddled. Frankie can switch between being dominant or submissive depending on his partner’s needs. They’ll need to remind him of his own needs.

3. Din Djarin - Sometimes he’s modern, sometimes he’s canon with his beskar. Always kind behind his sighs and despite looking like he’s break everything, he’s gentle and feels deeply. He might be a bit neurotic. It bodes well for plans of attacks and escapes not so much for over-analyzing everything a partner says or does. He’ll always take care of any foundling or child in his care - no matter if it’s Grogu or someone else’s child. Din is a soft dom. I will die on this hill.

I don’t really have any AUs I hate. I’m not a fan of school AUs mainly because I never know what to write for them and they’re kids and I didn’t stay on campus for college so I don’t have a reference for that. I enjoy modern AUs - easy to write for. 🤣 I should try an actual AU, maybe fantasy since I had an idea for that with Din but nothing is written. Just bullet points and vibes.

My favorite character dynamic usually starts off as plutonic and then becomes romantic or is some sort of meet-cute. I do like when maybe the reader or Pedro boy has been watching the other for a bit, and then finally makes their move. Hehe! 😆 I could write plutonic but I feel like there’s plenty of that in the movies and shows so let me live out my twisted dreams 🤗

There’s two characters I want to write more for:

I need to write more for Pero. Either canon, modern or in some other AU. I need to have more of this man on my masterlist being grumpy, growling, mutter Spanish at me the reader or OFC (we know I love my OFCs ok? I like names! 😁) his broad, curly haired self with a sword or soaking in a tub. 👀

I also need to write more for Jack Daniels aka Agent Whiskey, aka, the only reason I would ever don cowboy boots. A stronger southern drawl than Joel in 200% more denim and 100% more ten gallon hat. I’m not sure where I would stick him except in between some thighs.

“I know it’s crazy because maybe it’s kind of soon in our friendship and all . . but . . .” “Henry,” Nora gave him this warning glare that he felt even Raf wouldn’t be able to to ignore. “ . .Would you be my emergency dog sitter/walker when I’m caught in a bind?” Henry blurted out quickly. “Of course!”  Henry sighed in relief.  “Thank you.”  “Did you seriously think I’d say no?” Nora looked at David as he rolled over again to hint at a need for belly scratches.  “I can hardly say no to Raf, you think I’d do the same to you and this adorable little guy?”  She reached down to satisfy David’s insatiable need for attention, chuckling as she heard the happy grunts the beagle made as soon as she started. Henry reached into his pocket and tentatively pulled out a spare key for his apartment.  “I trust that you’ll use this sparingly and only when necessary?” “I will guard it with my life, “ Nora exclaimed as she took possession of the key.  “And I promise to refold everything in your underwear drawer after I rifle through it.” She winked. “I am regretting this decision already.” Nora stuck her tongue out at Henry playfully.  “Oh you’re full of it.  You know you love me, or you wouldn’t have asked. I am a delight!.” “You sound like Papi,” Raf said as he took over scratching David’s belly. “He learned from the best, kiddo,” Nora said, smirking. “I might be in need of your services sooner than later - but only if it won’t disrupt you and Raf.  If it will, I’m sure David would be fine by himself for a few hours today.” Henry confessed. “Noooooooooo!” Raf wailed, hugging David tightly.  “Can David stay and play?  Please Tia Nora? Please? Please-please-please-please?”  Raf turned on the pout and the puppy eyes.  David seemed to get the memo, Henry could have sworn the beagle was looking at Nora with the same expression. It was impossible for anyone to say no to those eyes ( human and canine).“Only if you finish your homework first.  Play after, OK?” Nora sighed as she told Raf.  “Someone’s got to be responsible here.  Your father trusted me with that.” Raf cheered as he gave David another big hug and was rewarded with a multitude of doggie kisses in return.  Henry had to grin at the bond David was developing with the little boy.  It was the kind of friendship he wished he had when he was younger.  A dog like David certainly would have made life in his grandmother’s house so much more tolerable. “Am I ever getting my dog back there do you think?” Henry asked as he leaned in to Nora. “I’m not quite sure.” Nora snickered.  “He’ll be in good hands, I promise.” She nudged Henry gently with her shoulder.  “Not to be too nosy.  But is everything OK?  Us watching David is kind of out of the blue - you two have been inseparable ever since you adopted him and brought him home.” Henry blushed as he fiddled with the postcard in his hands. “I . .um . . may have . .  a date.” “Shut up!” Nora cried gleefully as she smacked him on the arm.  “That’s fantastic!  Oh god, what will happen when Mrs. Schoenfeld finds out?  Will she double down on the baked goods to win you over?”  Nora cackled loudly at the thought. Henry groaned. “If that happens, I am leaving everything on your doormat.”

Taking the items and quickly tying them up in the cloth that the princeling had brought with him, the young woman paused for a moment, her eyes closing and her brow furrowing in concern. With one hand resting on her growing belly and one resting on the wooden table to support her weight, she paused in her task abruptly.   Blaine held his breath as he watched.  Mistress Fabray was a gifted young woman who came from a long line of seers.  He had heard of her visions and how they could overtake her at any time of the day or night. It was why she lived in the small secluded cottage away from the prying eyes of those in the castle. A slight breeze blew through the cottage, setting the assortment of crystals hanging above the window chiming softly against one another.  Quinn’s eyes filled with a golden glow, masking the kind brown ones that often were there. Her body shuddered as the vision overtook her. She gasped out, her voice gravelly and hard : Over hill, through darkened dale The blood flows fast, the cheek grows pale The crown that clatters to the ground Lies tarnished now and makes no sound. The bird that flies on moonlit wings No longer soars, no longer sings It tumbles swiftly from its nest So longing for its heart to rest By waters edge its finds its place Its soul will mend. A kindly face, Two lives entwined, two spirits one Beneath the boughs, warmed by the sun The courage lost is found in plain sight A journey then from day to night Brings fledglings back toward home and then The crown once rusted, shines again Falling to her knees, the seeress cried out as if in pain.  The princeling rushed forward to catch her as she went limp in his arms, her eyes rolling backward.  Panic begun to set in as Blaine lowered her gently to the floor.  He had to get help. “Watch over her, puss," the young prince ordered the brindle cat aa he stumbled out of the cottage door and down the well worn path that led farther into the wood.

Alex looked up to see his older sister come through the door, kicking off her heels and walking over to them.  June leaned over to kiss Nora as she grabbed a burrito for herself. She plopped down on the other end of the couch , dropping her feet in her brother’s lap and wigging her toes. “What’s the existential crisis, lil bit?” She asked, her eyes twinkling merrily. Alex huffed at his sister as he slowly picked away at the burrito in his hands.  “Henry’s birthday.” “Ahhhhh,” June nodded in understanding.  “Planning a party or buying a gift?” “Gift.” Nora responded around a mouth full of burrito. “Everything I think of he either owns, or has turned out to not be so great of an idea.  Bea talked me down from buying a polo pony a while ago.” June wrinkled her nose at that suggestion.  “Really Alex?  Polo?”   “I know, I know . . Bea said the same thing.” “It’s just not really . . .Henry.” Nora said  as she passed the bag of tortilla chips to the siblings. "Don't get me wrong, I know he plays but he's never gave me that rich-guy-polo-vibe. He's too down to earth, really." “I was at the end of my rope.” “Naughty . . .” Nora teased, waggling her eyebrows suggestively. “There’s a good shibari workshop I know of . . if that’s more your thing.” “Nora!” June hissed, giving her girlfriend the “do-not-talk-about-that-in-front-of-my-little-brother” glare. “Oh . . . .OH . . . oh . . eeeeeewwww,” Alex groaned as he looked at the both of them, his head bobbing back and forth as if he was watching a tennis match between the two.  “No. Stop.  Stop right there.  Too much information.  I don’t ever want that picture seared into my brain.” “No kink shaming, Alex.” June said as she poked him in the stomach with her ankle. “Never say the words ‘kink’  and’ shaming’ to me in the same sentence ever again, Bug.  I never want to know how you two defile this apartment when I’m not here.” “But . . .” piped up Nora. “Never. But I suppose one can’t blame her.”  Lillian peered down the hallway towards her grandson’s room. “How was Blaine today?” “As well as could be expected.  What was it that Doctor Figgins told us? Pneumonia? “Bacterial pneumonia that was too far gone.” Nana said sadly.  “I should have caught on, but your brother was trying to not let me see how ill he was.” “Pain in the ass,” muttered Cooper, taking another sip of his coffee.”If he already wasn’t in the hospital, I’d put him in there myself.” Lillian chuckled.  “Why are you sitting out here?  Oh, and did Sam come by today?  He told me he would when I ran into him this morning.” Cooper stretched his long legs and arms, yawning deeply.  “I’m sorry, I just needed a bit of a break.  Since Blaine ’s been sleeping most of the time, I don’t think he would have noticed if I slipped out for a bit.  But yeah, Sam came by for a bit during lunch, dropped off some comic books for Blaine.  Told me Schubert is having a grand ole time having a sleepover with him.” Cooper’s eyes darted back down the hall toward where Blaine’s room was located.  “Nan, that fellow, Kurt, came by again.” he confessed  “He’s in with Blaine now.  I kind of felt he needed privacy. Blaine’s still asleep, though.” Lillian’s eyes softened.  “I’m glad he came to visit.” “What’s his deal, Nan?  What’s going on between those two?” “Kurt and Blaine have a lot to figure out and a lot to talk about, Cooper,” Lillian said.  “And that’s all you’ll get from me.” Cooper pouted.  “You’re no fun.” Lillian rolled her eyes as she stood up, brushing wrinkles away from her skirt.  “And you, my darling, love gossip too much.  Just like your grandfather.”

It’s definitely a harder question because I do force people to watch it based on their tastes (i.e. I have forced my Tumblr besties to watch at least three different movies released in 2011 for gay subtext as the main recommendation factor but would not do this to my work colleagues)… HOWEVER!!! Based on broad factors of what I HAVE in the past forced my friends/loved ones to watch these are the winners…

ROMANCE/ROM-COM Crash Landing on You This is the best rom com ever made.* Nothing has ever brought my mom AND dad to laughter, tears, and had them BOTH proclaim ‘5 stars’. I cannot recommend this show strongly enough to anyone who has remotely liked a single rom com, ever.**

COMEDY Galavant Niche audience of people who love fantasy and musicals includes ME motherfucker!

Honourable mention: Deadloch, Utopia (AU), Derry Girls This is really just a series of non-American comedies I would recommend to people if they hadn’t seen it. Deadloch specifically I am SHOCKED and APPALLED more people on Tumblr are not on top of and AM continually threatening my friends with a gun to watch it, or else!!

HORROR Hannibal and IWTV Both absolutely all-time must watches but only for people that would be into that sort of thing (sickos with taste) and not look at me weirdly afterwards for recommending it.

CRIME/THRILLERS The Devil Judge and Beyond Evil Crazy how these two shows came out at like, the same time, were both so similar in terms of the Wildly Gay Subtextual Leads Dynamic and so good. And they (were) both on Netflix!! Beyond Evil is definitely more refined BUT The Devil Judge is also so good and wild and such camp fun… you couldn’t go wrong with either if you enjoy having a fun gay time, particularly not if you like shows just to the left of Hannibal/IWTV.

FANTASY  Word of Honour and The Untamed These are not all-timers because they are ‘objectively well-made’ they are all timers because I shake my friends by the shoulders and yell "I had the absolute most fun gay fantasy romance time watching them and you will too!"

HISTORICAL Spartacus and Black Sails Everyone talks about Black Sails on this website but not enough people talk about how Spartacus walked so Black Sails could run. Much more extreme R-rated and/or triggering content in Spartacus though so I do understand. Nevertheless something I do end up recommending to my male friends a lot (and they love it!!).

SCI-FI  Dark REALLY tough category and I didn’t love the ending of this show but decided to pick based on what I'd recommend to the most people on balance. Don't look up spoilers!

Honourable mention: The OA, In the Flesh and Sense8 These are my ‘wish they weren’t cancelled’*** and I don’t know if I would inflict on people while incomplete. However I just think what they were aiming for was so so unique and good that maybe they’re worth watching anyway!! (***I know Sense8 had the consolation prize movie but it was so rushed and nothing that like. To Me. It doesn't count.)

ANIME Shin Sekai Yori This is definitely the all-time anime I recommend to absolutely everyone. Ignore the middling animation and don’t look up spoilers, the end has one of the most existential ‘reframes the narrative’ plot twists of all time.

Yuri on Ice Speaking of plot twists that reframe the narrative… YOI is an obvious answer but it’s also correct!!! IT WAS BORN TO MAKE HISTORY!!!

FILMS The Handmaiden Limiting myself to ONE film to keep things a little briefer (sorry about the long post!) it was still an easy choice and literally do force my friends to watch it the second I know they haven’t seen it. No spoilers but it’s the IWTV of cinema to me.

*When Harry Met Sally Is of course also the best rom com ever made for its medium and I would be remiss not to include that here as well!

Discovered and became obsessed with the Joker Palace au today, and got hit in the chest with the detail that the Palace is built on Akiras self loathing. What if, when things hit the fan, maybe after getting Akira to fight RealAkechi, CogAkechi turns on Akira with cruel words and endless blame for what happened to the real one. He and Shadow Akira are both the final boss and real Akechi is alone fending them both off from himself AND Akira who is in too much shock to even try to defend himself. Maybe harming the shadow pains Akira too so Akechi cant even defeat one of his opponents without undermining the whole point of the rescue mission. The fact its Akechi defending him now is only making his spiral worse until his rival, the one who was allowed past his walls, manages to get through to him that he's really here and Akira needs to acknowledge that he's not OK and has to accept help, and that finally lifts the subconscious barrier keeping the others out and they join the fight. Perhaps with them working together CogAkechi is able to be killed and that starts bringing the Palace down because he was the treasure, and irl The Glove is in tatters.

Maybe you want to keep it to Akechi being the only saviour here but I kind of love the idea that their unique bond is what allows Akira to finally do something about the distorted view that he has to pretend to be fine for his friends, and that's HOW he saves the day like nobody else can. If so, I have another idea you might like - what if the Palace is one big balancing act? Like, rooms stacked like crazy on a tightrope over a void or something, and the constant slight sway gets worse when Akira approaches breaking point and lessens when he forces himself to be ok and keep going. Akechi would have to grapple and climb up to the top where the most unstable fantasy of all is the massive Ballroom threatening to tip the whole structure.

Ohh that's really interesting :0 I definitely would like for the other PTs to join the final battle! Would make a lot of sense narrative wise and as long as Akechi and Akira get their private heart to heart moment before it works for me >:)

hiii kit it's 🦊 again I am back because I just had an epiphany about the healer anakin AU I am obsessed with currently. so is the blindfold like a hijab where your close family (so other healer peers in private I suppose?) and your significant other is able to see you with the blindfold off? I started thinking that keeping it on 24/7 is probably not ideal and there has to be some time that it comes off, and who gets to see you then.. I am south asian so I kinda dig this tbh! 😊 (2/2)

hello hello this is such an interesting ask!! for the first part, i'm really not sure - i think there are fics on ko-fi that i would love to expand and write more for (the healer anakin au being one of them) but at the same time, i think while i am running the ko-fi fic thing, then those stories need to exist only on there - or i need to talk to everyone who supports me monthly on there and see if they would be ok with me posting those stories somewhere else (like on ao3 or tumblr) and expanding on them more. as of right now, they're really just one shots that act a bit like slices of life in the au - just enough information that the characterizations are apparent and just enough setting and premise that it feels like a story but overall stand alone

but yes i too am sorta obsessed with the idea of healer skywalker showing up to healer functions with a bright blue silk bandana over his eyes while everyone else has the standard issue gray or white cloth. of course they wouldn't know, but just imagine like. mace windu attends to give a debrief of the next few battle plans and anakin is just...sticking out like a sore thumb lol

as for the second part, in my mind i'm sort of waving the logistics of keeping the blindfold on for long stretches of time because im leaning more into the fantasy side of star wars tbh - i think it's more angsty as a concept if healers sort of...give their eyes away forever/until they retire and never open them. they change the bandages and shower without them on, but the force is supposed to act as their eyes for menial daily tasks like telling apart shampoo from conditioner and cooking (and they just get used to it)

like that feels so much more angsty because obi-wan will never ever get to see anakin's eyes again and he has to just. make his peace with that which he's obviously struggling to do in the ficlet on ko-fi. he has to figure out how to love anakin as he is, with his vows, or he won't get him at all and obi-wan wrestling with that is a key part of the ficlet. im not sure how strongly that angst would hit if they could reach a certain point of closeness and then he could get anakin the way he had him when they were in the creche, sight and all you know? he needs to accept who anakin is to really have a chance at loving him without getting some other version of him back

but that being said i also do dig the idea of the blindfolds being taken off in the company of one's family or loved ones and am open to it--it explains a lot of logistical questions for sure lol

i just also really like the angst and acceptance that comes from the idea that obi-wan must become ok with never seeing anakin's eyes again....only for anakin, who loves him so much, to break his vows because obi-wan is dying and needs him or obi-wan is dying and asks to see his eyes one last time (only for obi-wan to categorically survive)

Ok so this snippet of a universe was a briefly planned AU I had where Bojan is a divorcee who joins a book club upon Martin's insistence, and ends up meeting Jere. Cue: a guy in his mid-50s with two kids grappling with his sexuality suddenly and, because he's older and divorced, he's actually surprisingly pretty chill about it? Well, as chill as any version of Bojan could be. He still panics a bit and appreciates Jere's patience, but he is head over heeeels with this Jere.

He remembers suddenly what it's like to fall in love except this feels like even more because it's all clicking for him now. The pieces of himself in his marriage that, no matter how hard he tried, how much he loved his ex, just never felt like they slotted in correctly.

And this Jere is someone who's dated a bit, fallen in love, but found that nothing really stuck around for too long. He traveled to London for music and focused so much on his career, that his romantic life was neglected for most of his life. Only now, older and settled in, the music thing unfortunately not working out for him (and Bojan too, that's how they actually initially bond), he starts opening himself up to the possibility of a real, lasting relationship.

BUT to answer your question, they love going hiking together. Taking in the views, still being active. They're definitely one of those couples that are like, "We're not slowing down until we're forced to!" Lots of couples cooking classes (Bojan Tries), dinner dates, getting frisky in an empty movie theater at first to "make up for lost time."

But once that initial frenzy calms, they settle in. They still do the occasional big fun outing, go to sports games, check out a museum, etc, but they do what they did upon first meeting in that book club: read together :)

25. What is their dream home? Do they buy a place together? Who plans the decorations and who does the heavy lifting? (Warriors AU, also counting this as 30. Free space! Say something about this ship that you want to say!)

OUGH my heart. So, yeah, this was the tragedy universe for them. It wasn't super fleshed out, but let's see what happens as I keep typing.

For them, I pictured a world where they literally could not be together due to the political set-up. What that was exactly, kinda murky because if I ever delve into fantasy politics, I'm someone who'd want them to make sense ;o; But perhaps two warring factions, a dispute over kingdoms and resources with lots of tangled societal consequences. Bojan and Jere having met by fate, enemies to friends to lovers, and stolen what little time they could together, but ultimately duty-bound to their lands lest they accidentally reveal too much and endanger the other. Dying by each other's hands not as enemies, but as means to live eternally with one another.

HOWEVER, if they did live happily, having survived running off and managing to not be found, I think they'd do their best with whatever meager cottage they can find. Somewhere secluded, perhaps by a coast, since they both love to be near the water. Back in those stolen, happy moments, they'd jokingly (but also heartbreakingly) talk about how they'd have a nice garden, filled with flowers and vegetables, but then one of them would point out that coastal homes are often rocky where they are -- shattering the illusion, the daydream.

Bojan would love to adorn the house with trinkets and baubles, some just for sentiment, others for superstitious reasons. Jere would bring in seashells and glass from along the shore. They'd work equally here, I think, if only because it's their dream that they share together in equal parts.

Ok, now that I got my Oz AU lore out of my system. I want to say I made some redesigns to some of the characters. Let's start with Glinda. As a character, she's ok, but there are a lot of problems I have with her original design.

1. GIRL. WHERE. ARE. YOUR. ORGANS! Fantasy or not, it just looks unsettling.

2. Dress is nice, but it could snag on things. She could step on it and then fall since she's wearing flats. Plus, most doorways would be a nightmare, I say most is because Jester's drawbridge isn't like a usual doorway.

3. The crown is very pretty but is bound to be heavy over time. Possibly prone to fall off or like the gown snag on things.

4. As one of the most powerful witches, you'd think she'd be able to protect herself or even escape. Even without her wand, she's capable of performing spells. Also, she had a great voice actress, let her sing.

I'm not going to say I'm a professional critic or artist because that's NOT true. I'm sure the artists work very hard, and they have great designs for many characters. Glinda's design is just a bit out there, I know she's based on the live action movie from the 30s, but it's a bit much.

Since we don't know much about Glinda's backstory in the books other than she's one of the most powerful witches, rules over the South Quadrant, and has a magic record book that records every event that happens in Oz. I decided to give my take on her.

Glinda Upland has two loving dads. Martin or Marty works in a bookshop while his husband Andrew or Andy is a jewelry merchant.I gave her vitiligo and dark skin because why not. The white dress in reference to the books since in them good witches wear white. I darkened her red hair and switched the curls.

The little red jacket and flats make a nice reference to where she rules. South Oz's color is red. I gave her more meat on her body as I wanted her to deem much more approachable. She was an apprentice to Locasta Tattypoo, the good witch of the North. (I didn't make her name up, I promise. It's in the books and wiki).

She was in a romantic relationship with the Wicked Witch of the West when they were that went sour. The only other person who knows about it is Locasta.It ended in a duel where both Glinda and the Wicked Witch of the West or Evanora Thornheart, as I called her, gained bad injuries. Glinda, with some large scars and Eva losing part of her ear and her eye.

She is the one who came to Dorothy's aid in the Candy County trial with some evidence of the signs being tampered with. The monkeys had stolen her staff, so she needed to use a lot of magic to escape.

She holds the monkeys off in Emerald City so the others escape on Tug the boat. She's not turned into a puppet. She's more assertive and strong-willed.I think she came out gorgeous
