I've saved the best creature for last (from this particular trip anyway). this gorgeous man is some kind of Wishbone spider, a family of Mygalomorphs found exclusively in Australia, distinguished by their particularly large fangs and 'Y' shaped burrow.

For context, his body length was about 2-3cm (I really need to carry a ruler with me so I can be more accurate).

His silvery-black colouring was stunning, as were the large 'spurs' on his forelegs (somewhat visible in the top photo).

We found this male under our tent as we were packing it away, he would have been travelling in search of a female's burrow the night before.

Headcanon that Zestial is very, very, VERY attached to both cloak and top hat. Whereas on the rare occasions he will remove his cloak while at the Carmine residence, his hat is firmly attached to his head at all times. YES YEAH YOU GET IT !!!! and (quite recently rewatched it and mentioning it here cause i can't believe i forgot to mention it in the post you're talking about) it really gets me that gwen also says 'i was doing both' in regards to protecting miles and protecting the canon event, and i love that the phrase was reflected like that, even tho (at this point of the movie) miles and gwen pretty much oppose each other in views/priority !!

it also absolutely kills me the way that gwen begins (like you say) atsv quitting the band and isolates herself, and then throughout the whole thing she finds something/someone that she wants to take that leap for, all over again :') she (and the entire spider-team!!) is willing to bet everything on miles and is ready to fight for him, and i really just love the idea that miles just is a force that inspires good !!!! IT REALLY IS ALL ABOUT LOVE!!!

Harry Osborn really is just “I want people to be nice to me and love me. That’s it.” Like it really is. Of course he became Peter’s best friend; the guy was nice to him. Does not take much. He convinces his dad to rent him an apartment close to college and asks Pete to just come live with him for free in a nice two-bedroom in NY because he wants him there. He drives around because he gets anxious and down and driving relaxes him and Peter doesn’t have a car so he’s always like “Oh oh! : ) Hi Peter do you need a ride?” and Pete is like ‘thank god no taxi fare let’s DO this’. He thinks Gwen and MJ are so cool and neat and he loved Gwen so much even though she broke up with him and died two decades ago, he still thinks about how much she means to him. He just wants to hug Normie and tell him he’s a great son and he loves him. He wants Liz to not hate him and think he’s weak and he’s terrified of people finding out all the things wrong with him but none of them care, and he’s great. He’s the most tragic character of all time. He loves his terrible dad so genuinely and so much, and he loves his friends so much, he loves his family so much. Literally all he ever wanted was people to be nice to him and love him and his life and sanity fall apart and he gets tragedy after tragedy and breakdown after breakdown and but he never really breaks he’s always just a little left. He tries so hard to go off the deep end but he can never really make himself hurt Peter, because of course he can’t. He’s Harry Osborn. Who loves friends from twenty years ago like it was last night. Even at his lowest he gets to die telling his best friend he would have finally been proud of him because he was able for a second to be like he is, and pass while smiling and holding his best friend’s hands. Of course he does. How else could Harry Osborn have ever died. He’s Harry.

7) what character did you begin to hate not because of canon but because how how the fandom acts about them?

You didn’t say a specific fandom for this and truthfully I usually don’t hate a character solely because of a fan or fandoms interpretation of it- if I don’t like something I just block/mute and move on. That being said if I had to really think hard on it I really get uncomfortable by the way certain fans write or draw Miguel O’ Hara (Spiderverse: Across The spiderverse). It usually veers into over sexualizing and blatant stereotypes and racism which haha as a black person not fun to see! That and the whitewashing/colorism ( which is not limited to this fandom and rather a larger issue in any fandom community but that’s a separate can of worms) That makes me super uncomfortable! Lol!

Like I think Miquel is a interesting antagonist / character to analyze. Even if I don’t necessarily like him as a person or agree with his values I can appreciate the work went into designing or writing the character. So it’s a shame my brain instinctively thinks about the gross one dimensional misinterpretations of his character I see online (Twitter, tumblr, tiktok and insta) that either completely erases the fact that he did Bad Things to people (UwU he did nothing wrong ever1!1”) or makes him into A Big Bad Scary 1000% Evil Brown Man Whose Super Sexy ™️

Man is beefing with a fucking fifteen year old! He sees Miles and immediately goes straight to ragging on him for not knowing something that he deliberately kept Miles out of the loop from! Oh wow Miguel! Miles doesn't know what a Canon event is? Crazy! It's almost like he was specifically excluded from the group of people who knew all about that! Who excluded him Miguel? Why didn't he know? That's what I thought bitch

and then he's like "yeah ik you have no superhero support network, yeah I have specifically told your friends not to speak to or talk to you for no reason I will explain, your dad dies in two days (I am yelling this at you minutes after getting unreasonably mad you didn’t know about things that are common knowledge in my spiderman club (the club you aren't allowed to join)) and also you aren't allowed to save him.
