Redacted David / Angel Headcanons

[In no particular order]

✩ David gave Angel free rein to decorate their entire house except for the kitchen and the garden

✩ Angel tried befriending a venomous spider once and cried when David killed it

✩ David loves beard scratches and enjoys Angel touching his face in general

✩ Angel has an absurd amount of charms and trinkets on their keychain

✩ David intentionally sets his most recently worn hoodies on the edge of the laundry hamper so Angel doesn't have to dig through it

✩ Angel tried being big spoon exactly one (1) time and decided the backpack life was not for them

✩ David's hands are almost always just cold enough to be startling

✩ One of David's most prized memories is taking Angel to "meet" his parents

✩ Angel's style is maximalism that almost verges on hoarding while David prefers dark minimalism - over the course of their relationship he slowly accepted their chaos as part of their home's atmosphere and came to find comfort in it

✩ David still has his dad's leather jacket and, on his worst days, will spray his dad's old cologne on it and curl up with it as close to him as possible

✩ Angel, Asher, and Darlin have an arm wrestling competition nearly every time they're in the same room, they have yet to convince David to join despite their best efforts

✩ Most people tell David he looks like his dad, so he gets unbelievably happy when one of the older pack members tells him he looks like his mom

✩ Despite being a human space-heater, Angel is still a blanket hog

✩ David always stops at kids' lemonade stands and tips them with whatever pocket change he has

something that ive noticed with the way that erik words porter’s videos is that it doesnt take long for him (erik) to say that porter is treasure’s moody vampire.

in porter’s last stand alone video, “trying to help your moody vampire to sleep”, notice that erik doesn’t use an article when describing porter’s title. it’s not ‘a moody vampire”, it’s “your moody vampire”, which implies that treasure and porter have made a significant amount of progress with their relationship, enough for porter to say that he’s their vampire.

this is in contrast to when vincent and sam’s videos use the word ‘your’ in their titles respectively; with sam having 6 videos before we ever see the word ‘your’ when it refers to him. vincent, meanwhile, had to have 10 videos before we ever see the word ‘your’ referring to him being lovely’s.

this could mean that porter cares for treasure in more ways than a fwb or a conventional fuckbuddy should, especially when erik specifically used the word ‘your’ for porter’s title instead of the usual ‘a’

Guardian and Zed - Foreign exchange student and guidance helper assigned to them (Even better if Guardian doesn't speak the language well so they just stare when Zed is talking which makes him nervous and he rambles more, Guardian thinks it's cute)

Hipswitch and Partner - Reluctant student and quiet art kid project partners (Partner talks through notes ripped from the corners of his sketchbook)

Pandora - Principal's kid that everyone is kinda scared of (Is actually really nice with just a hint of overblown ego, blame football star Odin for that)

Gavin and Freelancer - Academic rivals (FL actually takes it seriously, Gavin only pretends cause he loves to watch FL work)

welcome to a redacted soul eater au post! here, i try and discover what it'd be like if you merged the soul eater world and mechanics within the redactedverse. this is the seventeenth post in the series! we've got damien & huxley on the menu today. enjoy!

damien — soul type: weapon weapon type: flamethrower compatible with: freelancer

as is gavin and lasko, both damien and huxley are compatible with freelancer. they [freelancer] wield all four of the boys at different points, and take on the role as their meister whenever the time suits. even so, this doesn't mean there's no individuality between how each of them are utilised.

damien has a destructive (and potentially glaringly obvious) weapon form, which is something he had to come to terms with alongside all else. he didn't- and sometimes still doesn't- enjoy how he's seen as dangerous both as a person and a weapon, but freelancer has mentioned several times that it's how he utilises his skills and ways that defines who he is, not his given form.

huxley —  soul type: weapon weapon type: drill compatible with: freelancer

i feel like i'd be repeating myself over and over if i explained how huxley is also compatible with freelancer, and so instead i want to talk about how funny i think it is that i can make huxley a drill with the excuse of him liking digging holes.

in all seriousness, however, huxley has an incredibly flexible soul- one, in fact, that reached out to freelancer almost immediately after meeting. he's probably the easiest for freelancer to wield, purely because he holds so much trust for them.

lite backstory: for every post i make for the characters, i'll add some au backstory to really fill in some details you may be curious about!

originally, damien was happy with not working with a meister. everyone he tried to work with seemed to be quickly put off by the 'destructive nature' he couldn't seem to control. it was only when freelancer came into his life that he saw a meister be patient and careful with their weapons, which led to him introducing the idea of them working together in the future.

by contrast, huxley originally didn't have much worries towards meisters and the art of being utilised in his weapon form, although nobody ever seemed too interested in getting to know that side of him. he'd reach out, only to be met with fear or distrust. thankfully, when met with freelancer, he found that he could put his trust in them and they'd give it back.

as much as huxley and damien have their unique relationship with one another, they aren't too worried about the fact they do not have, themselves, a weapon/meister relationship. instead, they bond over the fact that freelancer takes great care of them when being utilised, and presses no boundaries onto them given their partnership.

 I can’t believe I haven’t talked about best boy yet 

These are some soft guy and Honey headcannons for the soul (I love these two so much it’s actually concerning)

: on one occasion, guy did something really really really sweet for honey and honey broke down sobbing, thinking that they’re such a bitch and don’t deserve him. but guy assured them that he loves the way they are and how they show affection.

: providing that the version of honey we’re talking about has a uterus. Guy always knows when it’s shark week…… and not for the way you might think. No they don’t become even more violent When it’s shark week, they become super cuddly and affectionate and almost nonverbal. They have one of those emotion flip octopus plushy‘s  and a notepad. And obviously their pizza guy boyfriend as a human body pillow.

: honey is the “he asked for no pickles” kind of partner 

: Guy asked them to be his official significant other with a heart shaped pizza on Valentine’s Day

: honey secretly loves that guy smells like pizza, but would never admit it 

: they are the type of couple to have secret hand signals to check if the others doing OK at parties 

: Guy secretly has an amazing singing voice that honey adores 

: honey was the first person to say I love you. And it made guys so happy he almost passed out. 

: their favorite movie to watch together is the goofy movie

: their phone contact names for each other are Jackass❤️ & 💋Honey~❤️ respectively 

: it is routine that whenever they order out, they have the same “what do you want to eat?” “IDK you pick” 45 minute argument 

: Guy drinks monster energy drinks and honey HATES IT. They constantly talk about how monster energy drinks are bad for your heart, and how they can kill you.  and the only thing he can say is “aw is someone worried about me~?” in which he gets a respective pillow to the face. 

: when they first met. guy had a “is this actually a person that exists on the same plane as me!?!??” Moment. And on honey’s side it was more of a “’m gonna peg him” moment 

: honey loves when guy cooks because they can’t cook for shit and he’s really good at it
