loool hi you dont have to respond to this but i just wanted to answer ur questions in ur tags ^_^ i like to think its a small world and daniel and adam have bumped into each other kinda like amanda and he promoted wotg to daniel. so he checks it out but he kinda just goes for adam cuz i think they kinda become buddies after that. he was prob forced into getting merch by one of scotts bandmates tbh LOL. just fun to think about and then it makes it possible to think of apprentice adam and daniel interactions <delusionalism. but yeah loool i love making shit up about daniel hes so fun(heart hands emoji)
AH yeah thats totally the train of thought i was going down thinking daniel must have found out about them from a flier or soemthing.. Daniel being an honorary ‘sorry we killed your bastard cop dad’ member of the jigsaw squad is so fun to me esp in silly adam lives scenarios so i love that..
(sorry about the tag dump oops)

dick & jane & the witness protection program cw: impending character death, medical trauma
It’s. Weird. To hear Steve talk about Eddie Munson like he’s dead. Or like he didn’t know him. It’s not untrue, really. Eddie died. Eddie and Steve weren’t friends. But, it’s weird, because it’s not true either.
Robert Jones was born in DeWitt, Michigan in 1965. He is 40 years old. His dad went MIA in Vietnam about 4 months before he was born, and he was put up for adoption about 4 months after he got dropped out the chute. Birth records sealed. Had a couple foster families, troubled youth and all, had a hard time settling down. Eventually got emancipated, fucked around on his own for a while. In 1986 he got rear ended on his motorcycle at 50 miles per hour and skid across open freeway for 900 yards. Has skin grafts over about 40% of his body. He likes heavy metal and shitty horror movies and greasy diner food and tourist traps. He did a mandatory minimum in State prison for some drug charges when he was 24. Got his GED in lockup. Worked a lot of minimum wage whatever jobs, wherever, for a while. Got his CNA cert in 1998, after Steve’s third seizure, the one that had shit coming out of one of his ears. Steve got hit on the head a lot - before he knew him - hard. Needed a live-in caretaker after a point but didn’t want a stranger touching his shit. Steve’s so fucking weird. It's only partially the brain damage, honestly.
He’s been fucking Steve Harrington since the mid 90s. Which is probably against some code of ethics but, whatever  - since before Steve’s divorce in ’96. And then louder after. He met Steve- ah fuck. This is the hard part. The wheels kind of fall off at this part. Because you don’t start fucking your caretaker right off the bat, and what are the odds some guy you picked up at a bar also is like, qualified to administer palliative care? There’s no solid explanation for this part, they usually avoid it. It's usually easy to avoid. He met Steve in high school. Steve’s high school. In Indiana, where Robert Jones has never lived, nor grew up. But Eddie Munson did. But Eddie Munson is dead, but in Indiana in 1986, Robert Jones was built out of his bones.
Weird’s not the right word. Karmic? Cruel, maybe? Who knows. Weird’s not right, though.
Most people they know that still want to be found have amputated That part of their lives from the rest of them, but Steve hasn’t. For some reason. It's not hospice, they’re not calling it hospice. But it's hospice. Steve’s got a couple hematomas and some bruising on his white matter that’ll probably get him in his sleep one of these days, but in the meantime sometimes Steve gets confused, loses time, gets frustrated and lashes out, sleeps too long, doesn’t sleep at all - and he just. Talks about Hawkins to anyone who wants to ask. He never tells the whole truth, doesn’t offer anything he’s not asked about, meets anyone at any story they bring to him and fits in the parts of the truth into the half assembled jigsaw puzzle presented to him.
Some people get way closer to the truth than they have any right to. But most don’t.
Most of them don’t even ask about Eddie Munson. Of all the shit that happened in Hawkins that’s public knowledge (and even out all of the shit that's conspiratorial knowledge) and the kind of people who seek Steve out, a circumstantial, long cold, multiple murder case that happened seconds before some once in a lifetime insanity hardly blips the radar. But Eddie still comes up sometimes with Steve's would-be truth-tellers and investigators. Steve’s gotten real good at not looking at him when people talk about Eddie over the years. Used to be a bit of a struggle, like he was going to appeal to Bobby about his or their guest's opinions about Eddie, or like, apologize for what he was about to say, but he doesn’t anymore. Eddie’s dead, after all. Eddie’s dead and probably killed 3 people and Eddie and Steve weren’t friends, back in high school. Bobby doesn’t talk about any of it, because Bobby wasn’t there. Bobby doesn’t really know what Steve’s talking about beyond whatever he’s talked about before to other people asking the same sorts of questions.
Steve’s gotten really good at killing Eddie Munson.
Bobby Jones isn’t as good at it, weirdly. Bobby Jones never knew Eddie Munson. Robert Jones barely knows who Eddie Munson even is, beyond whatever anecdotal shit that gets brought into Steve’s house by strangers. But he wants to protect him from. Something. At the risk of sounding, like, all folksy wisdom about some bullshit that will literally happen to no one else ever again; the thing no one tells you about dying and then going on living anyway is that you don’t get to control what happens to the dead.
There are all kinds of stories about Eddie. Sure, there are people who come in sympathetic and skeptical to the legal narrative surrounding one Edward Anthony Munson. How satanic panic was alive and well in the evangelical Rust Belt and it was all too easy to paint some kid with an abrasive taste in music as the literal anti-Christ, in a town where the US Government had already taken responsibility for loss of life in suburban homes under equally circumstantial circumstances. Stories about how it seems all too easy to pin the Fed’s known and established crimes on some nobody kid on food stamps that lived in a trailer park, because that means something specific to the middlest of Americans, and to look to Eddie for justice is to just let the government keep getting away with what they do to normal people in the wrong place at the wrong time. Those stories, at least, are easy to hear. They’re like the stories Bobby wants to believe about Eddie, when Steve's having them told to him.
But there are other stories about how Eddie was a killer, a real wannabe cult leader and sex pervert. How he wanted to be everything everyone said about him and what he did, how he planned it, how he sought it out. How he fucking loved it. Stories about how Eddie idolized men like Richard Ramirez and Jeffrey Dahmer, how he wanted to do it better. Do it worse. There are stories about him from people who elevate him as the champion of the freaks, the patron saint of the willingly disturbed, the martyr of the unfucked and sexless and staking a claim over the space their rotten brains think they deserve in the world. And there’s people who condemn him for it, and there are people who celebrate him for it and he doesn’t know which one is worse.
And all of these kinds of people come to Steve’s house and talk to him about it. All come to Steve’s house and talk about whatever version of Eddie Munson they like or despise best. All of these kinds of people creep out of the woodwork in places on the internet that he somehow manages to find because Eddie Munson is a scab Robert Jones won’t stop picking, and the open wound of him never heals right.
And he’s thought about leaving. God he’s thought about leaving so often. Just pack his shit and dip because Steve’s got to excise his demons while he’s still got the time to do it and Eddie Munson just so happens to be one of them. Get out of the only place Eddie Munson is invoked and summoned, wouldn’t have to keep doing this. Keep having to hear Steve lie by omission and agree by omission about who Eddie was and what he did and just let it lie. He could just leave and never have to think or hear about Eddie Munson, someone he. does. not. know. ever again in his life.
Because they don’t talk about Eddie. Not ever. Not anymore. They used to. It used to be a bit of a joke, like haha aren’t these stories wild what a load of shit? Like, it used to be kind of fun. Then it wasn’t. Because if they’re talking about Bobby like he’s Eddie like, like they all know the secret and the secret is a joke, where do they keep the line? Where does Robert get to make the clean break like he’s supposed to have? Bobby got to make himself from the ground up, got to make a whole man out of nothing at all, got the redo of ultimate fucking redos - he could be anything and the only thing that would be true is that Robert Jones has never heard of Eddie Munson in his life, not be a peripheral accessory of what are, surely, the most regularly occuring conversations that still happen about him. Like Robert Jones is not, under any circumstance, doing this like he’s supposed to. He can’t even laugh about Eddie anymore because it just hurts him now, to think about Eddie, so he thinks about leaving. Just fucking running.
Eddie’s realest legacy, really. Running.
But if that hard line between Eddie and Bobby has been structurally unsound from the start, then Bobby gets to know from Eddie what running does. He gets to know what the fallout looks like in the rear view. And fuck him to death if Steve hasn’t run once, if Steve isn’t the very picture and example of what Not Running looks like, and how hard it is to not run. Steve’s never run, Steve’s not running now and it’s going to kill him. It is going to kill him. It has killed him. And Steve’s not guilting him, never guilted him into staying. If he left, Steve would let him go but Christ on the cross isn’t it a dick fucking move to just leave the man who loves you, who’s suffering, who’s continuing to suffer for- not just saving not-you but a lot of other people too- who just keeps suffering after it could be all over like-
So it’s not a punishment to stay. But it is a little bit of a punishment to not leave.

I hope you don't mind me asking but what are your favourite Jamie EU stories?
oh my god not at all, I never mind being asked about my favourite little guy <33
I'm gonna break this down by media type, but there's some parts of the eu like comics that I'm not super familiar with, so if anyone wants to add some of those on (or any other eu stories) then go ahead!!
putting this under a cut because it got LONG rip
big finish
the jigsaw war
jamie is trapped inside a puzzle, experiencing events out of order, and has to figure out how to escape. this is THE audio for me in terms of like. recognising that jamie isn't stupid just because he comes from the eighteenth century. he really gets to shine on his own rather than being relegated to 'dumb exposition prompter' (which I feel like some audios can be kinda guilty of.....) also the fact that two and jamie canonically have a strong enough connection to form a psychic link over long distances makes me chew through glass. this audio GETS it in a way some others just don't.
the glorious revolution
two, jamie, and zoe travel back to the time of the glorious revolution, the event that set the jacobite cause in motion, and jamie grapples with not being able to change the past. if you saw that audio snippet going around a couple days ago you'll have an idea of why I'm reccing this one. it has been a while since I've listened to it & I do really want to relisten and check it out for historical accuracy. but regardless it's another one that gives jamie some of the depth he deserves, this time in terms of emotional depth and his feelings about his backstory.
the selachian gambit
two, jamie, ben, and polly get caught in the middle of an alien bank heist. this one is pretty focused on ben, polly, and jamie as a trio - they're largely taking on the action while two keeps the detective work of the plot chugging along. jamie doesn't hugely stand out here in terms of the audio really adding something to his character, but it does show his dynamic with ben and polly pretty well. in particular there's some great scenes with him and ben working together, and I love their friendship a lot so that's always a good time.
honourable mentions: helicon prime (I do feel this one underutilises jamie a bit and undersells him in some weird ways, but if you're looking for two/jamie content you can't get much gayer than this. plus it's the origin of the whole 'jamie and kirsty get married' thing which I hate on principle & am obsessed with in practice), the phantom piper (it's got so much more potential than it gives imo but the tidbits that we get are so good. jamie's relationship with his grandparents.... his best friend taking a bullet for him and dying in his arms...... I just wish I could explain to the author that there's no such thing as a bedroom door in a blackhouse)
novels
the roundheads
two, jamie, ben, and polly travel back to the 1600s, and get largely split up by events unfolding around them. this is a pure historical and it delights in that. if you're after ben and polly content, the roundheads delivers on that too - but it really is some great early twojamie content. (whatever way you choose to read them - it's definitely a shippable book if you're into that). they spend the majority of the book together, both for plot reasons and just hanging out (they go to a frost fair!! two buys jamie treats and then makes himself a flower crown!!) and you get a great sense of jamie figuring two out early into his travels, and how he's far more interested in the doctor as a person than some other companions - he's the only one to show interest in susan when the doctor namedrops her, for instance. this is the best two-era book to me.
the wheel of ice
two, jamie, and zoe visit a space station built a little before zoe's time, and find that not everything is as it seems. again, this is a great one for zoe content as well as anything else, and for some very sweet moments with zoe and two. I don't necessarily feel this one always nails two and jamie's dynamic, but they don't spend a massive amount of time together here, so it's not too jarring. really I'm reccing this because of the scenes where jamie falls in with a bunch of teenagers from the space station, and finds himself kind of responsible for them. it's just nicely done and gives a good sense of jamie as a caretaker character and someone who feels a drive to be responsible for other people.
honourable mention: the episode novelisations (these are a lot of fun, especially if you have particular episodes you enjoy. they often add in extra details, background for side characters, or just little things from the episodes that were cut from the script. I really like them for adding a bit more depth and life to existing stories, and just little things that make you go 'yeah I'll add that to my belief system').
short stories
the time eater/across silent seas
two and jamie give a massive time-eating creature a funeral, and save a space whale from being turned into a weapon. both from the compilation destination prague. literally nobody gets me like the destination prague stories get me I'm not even kidding. these are THE eu two stories to me. both of these are arguably 6b, and they really work in that position - both in showing two and jamie with a very settled, devoted dynamic and in their themes and subject matter. the time eater is a story with no villain, and even the incidental threat of the dying creature causing havoc in time is secondary to the emotional keystone of jamie helping two accept death rather than running away. across silent seas has jamie nearly being aged to death and two absolutely losing it. they're both really about age and death and loss, which hits hard for 6b, with jamie's determination to stay with two forever and two's growing realisation that even if jamie doesn't choose to leave or survives their adventures, his lifespan is still going to be far shorter.
the age of ambition
two, jamie, and victoria land at the house of one of victoria's father's friends, only to find he has been trying to reanimate the dead. from the compilation life sciences. this is really a victoria story, probably the defining victoria story for me. it's got backstory, it's got gothic horror/victorian scientific ambition vibes in a similar way to evil of the daleks, it's got victoria character moments. but it's also a really crucial story for jamie, to me. as a character, I don't think jamie never quite forms into the brawny action man stereotype he was originally drafted as - and that's one of the things I love most about him. again he's too much of a caretaker, he's a piper rather than a soldier. he's rarely truly angry, even when he fights he never seems out to cause much actual harm, and you get the sense his protectiveness over his friends wars with this almost inability to do harm. the age of ambition GETS that and pushes it to the extreme, with jamie being unable to fire a killing shot to save his friends, to the point where victoria has to do it herself. it's such a compelling character moment for both of them and their dynamic.
on a pedestal
two, jamie, and victoria travel back to meet william wallace, who jamie idolises. from the compilation the quality of leadership. this is another one that really gets and hones in on a particular nuance of jamie's character - in this case, the strength and rigidity of his morals and sense of responsibility, and his dislike of people who fall short of that. he's faced with the fact that someone he admires was once careless, lax about taking responsibility for their actions even when other people are at risk, and just a bit childish. it shakes him, and he spends much of the story grappling with that. it's such a good look into the qualities that jamie admires versus the ones that he can't stand. but that's balanced out with some very sweet moments (the whole scene with two, jamie, and william wallace going fishing is very fun and again gives a nice little snapshot of two and jamie having this very settled, secure dynamic). AND jamie gets recognised as a basically supernaturally gifted piper which. love to see jamie actually getting to be a musician, love to see him piping without it being the butt of a 'bagpipes suck and everyone hates them' joke.
honourable mentions: that which went away (this is the 'jamie turns into a bear' story I'm always talking about. I do think it has some major issues in terms of weird primitivism, both in terms of the side characters and how it treats jamie, but also. jamie turns into a bear. and two begging him to come back to him is just *chefs kiss*), undercurrents (two vanishes from the tardis and another man mysteriously appears. jamie believes this newcomer has done something to harm two, and very nearly kills him for it. this is one of the few moments where jamie gets really, properly angry and is willing to actually cause harm and I LOVE to see him pushed past the breaking point of his usual moral code), the slave war (two, jamie, ben, and polly in the roman empire. also really good for ben and polly content, but there's some interesting stuff with jamie grappling with the idea of becoming involved in another rebellion, but ending up getting involved anyway)

Saw IV and V thoughts after my Saw Saturday movie viewing experience last night:
Really glad we got some new characters introduced into the series. It breathed a lot of life into things I feel like
Finally got to meet Hoffman and Strahm let’s gooooo! I knew that these were popular characters and honestly they did not disappoint
I cannot believe that John Kramer ate a fucking tape before dying. My friend and I were discussing how he did that so cleanly without gagging or choking and our only explanation is that he’s a throat goat
Rigg’s whole trial was rough man, but it was actually very interesting. Basically “You’re obsessed with saving everyone, so the only way you can win this gauntlet (and save your friends) is to let it go.” I think that this series of traps was MUCH more well done than the series of traps Jeff went through in 3 and they also did each feel like they were testing different aspects of the same “sin” so to speak.
Favorite of those trial traps was probably the one with the husband and wife and them being impaled. I thought it was clever in its theme and its conceit. Sometimes I look at some of these saw traps and go “okay so somebody just thought of the most fucked up thing they could for the shock value” but this was not one of those so I enjoyed that
The iceblock trap though? Amazing idea and execution on that shit. Just the concept of a melting block of ice slowly hanging someone while that melted ice water fills a pool that will eventually touch another person, thereby electrocuting them because there’s a current running through the pool? Very very cool. Plus the added mechanism that kills you if someone (Rigg) walks through the door. Very scary but very good
The puppet still makes me laugh. Him just sitting on the chair before (unfortunately) blowing up at Perez got me. My friend is convinced that I need a little Saw puppet for my apartment now, though I think having the actual thing and seeing it irl might freak me out
Not sure I *needed* to learn more about John’s past before his diagnosis and his descent into becoming Jigsaw, but I also didn’t absolutely hate it. I liked getting to see his ex wife at least and get an insight into his interpersonal relationships
I’m 50/50 split if I like John’s first victim being someone who personally wronged him and ruined his life. On the one hand, I think it does great to kinda show his own hypocrisy in all of this. He says it’s not emotional and these traps are meant to save his victims, and he does at least give him a way out, it did not seem like he really wanted to reform him and that’s interesting to me. On the other hand, I don’t think the movie presents this action or putting him in the trap this way so??? Yeah
My new motto for these movies is “If I don’t see you get murked on screen, you’re still alive somewhere.” Because I was *positive* Eric was dead before they revealed him, but, well, he’s certainly dead now I guess lol
The reveal this movie that it was all taking place at the same time as 3 and that Hoffman is Jigsaw’s apprentice was amazing. Absolutely brilliant, no notes at all
I really liked how Saw 4 and 5 basically felt like a TV show in that they were very obviously meant to be viewed together/feel like one continuous story. I’m assuming that production wise the studio knew that they had 4 and 5 guaranteed so they could leave some stuff for the next movie which I appreciated
(I’m assuming they knew they were at least getting a 6 too because we didn’t get any answers for what was in that box Jill got 👀)
Hoffman carrying that little girl out of the warehouse and being like “We were the only survivors :((“ only for Strahm to get wheeled out on the gurney literally seconds afterwards was so funny
Speaking of, I can’t believe Hoffman didn’t take Strahm’s pen from out of his pocket during the water cube trap. He took all his other stuff but it’s weird he overlooked that. Granted, I doubt that he knew that Strahm would perform a tracheotomy on himself but wow
I liked the backstory we got with Hoffman and how he came to know Jigsaw. The idea of a copycat killer designing his own “trap” but it really just being a way to murder someone he wants revenge on was marvelous. Then the whole part with John kidnapping him and teaching him his ways was also cool
(Hoffman tied up with the shotgun nestled right underneath his neck? Unfortunately kinda hot)
The trap gauntlet for the five people was fine. The first trap I was like “oh my god he’s telling you to all work together! Just go get your keys one by one or have someone get their key, unlock, and then get the next person’s after they’re unlocked” at least for that one though I can see why they panicked. The second one they had no excuses lol I literally said out loud “you can definitely fit at least two people in a cubby hole”. That one seemed sooo obvious, too obvious to at least not give it a try. I didn’t totally hate the set up though, just moreso me getting mad at horror movie characters lmao
And I get Hoffstrahm now lmao. Saw IV I was like “? They barely interacted what’s this?” And then we got the whole cat and mouse game in Saw V and went “Oh yup. There it is. Theres the dynamic.” Especially with the whole glass coffin bit at the end
Speaking of the glass coffin I loved that scene. Just the wasy Strahm shoves Hoffman into the coffin and you can see Hoffman start to gloat and taunt Strahm from behind the glass because he’s sealed his own fate? Amazing. No notes. I did have to look away at the end of the trap though because watching the Saw movies has taught me I cannot handle broken bones, especially when they are very prominent. As soon as I saw Strahm start pushing on the walls I went “I know where this is going” and dutifully turned my head away
Anyways Hoffman is an interesting new antagonist! I’m curious what’s gonna happen next in this little murder soap opera. Honestly, I hope that Agent Perez gets out of the hospital and fucks up Hoffman. She finds out that Strahm is supposedly Jigsaw, goes “wtf no I could never believe that” and starts trying to pursue the real killer
Current Saw movie ranking (giving this because I gave it to my friend after discussing Saw V and my thoughts on the franchise overall)
Saw (The og and the goat, don’t think anything will really topple this one. I was glued to the screen the entire time and loved how this one really focused on Adam and Lawrence, the people in the trap, rather than the killer himself. I feel a lot of future installments lack compelling trap victims which is kinda a shame)
Saw V (I liked the story of Hoffman in this and the cat and mouse between Hoffman and Strahm a lot)
Saw IV (This was a really well done trap gauntlet for the main portion of the plot and the ending reveal was so awesome. Lots of adrenaline pumping for this one, but it did get lowered because I’m still meh on a lot of the John Kramer additional backstory stuff atm)
Saw II (Saw II gave me so many issues ranking it because the final reveal was PHENOMENAL but the main game portion didn’t always work for me. I did like the idea of Eric’s game of just having to wait out the clock but I kinda count that as being a part of the final reveal and thus it can’t elevate the whole movie. There’s potential this and Saw IV could flip flop depending on my moods. This one just has higher highs but lower lows for me)
Saw III (I liked Amanda getting tested and the whole ending with the chain reaction of violence/death, but that’s about it. The main traps in this game did not do it for me, nor did the story connecting those traps. This one also just really felt that they needed to escalate the traps for escalation’s sake rather than to tell a compelling story, which I know is probably a dumb complaint for the gory trap horror franchise but idk I just didn’t like it)

What's your thoughts/opinions on each saw movie?
Oh no, this is a dangerous question to ask me because I cant shut up about Saw. If this ends up super long, I am so so sorry.
So the first one - amazing, fantastic, one of the best ever. I absolutely love this movie. I've seen it a bunch of times, can probably quote a good amount of it and it's easily one of my favourite movies. Leigh Whannel (screenwriter) and James Wan (director) really do a great job of showing characters that are well written and intriguing to watch. Same with the story itself. Also Adam makes me absolutely insane in this movie. Not only does he have hilarious lines, but also if I think too much about the tragedy that is him, I will scream. I absolutely love this movie so damn much!
The second one - imo also pretty good. It's not as great as the first one, but the story is still interesting to watch and I like the traps. Especially the needle pit! (Fun fact: they had to use over 100k needles for it to make it look full and I saw this behind the scenes video where it turned out that still wasn't enough and they added extra padding to make it look fuller). I like the return of Amanda and the twist. Though John saying "Your son's in a safe place" and him being in a safe makes me laugh. It's so silly.
The third one is like simultaneously great and not great. I love the Amanda/Lynn/John stuff but Jeff is a frustrating character to watch. Though Saw III does have some great traps too. The freezer one and especially the rack (the one where the character gets his limbs twisted one by one). It's not my favourite Saw but I do quite like it. Also Lynn and Amanda would've hate fucked if they had survived. Also also the third one has several deleted scenes and, if you haven't checked them out, I highly recommend it. They're all on youtube and they're so good. I wish they didn't cut all of them out. The one with Amanda and Adam makes me scream!
Saw IV honestly kind of makes me laugh. Mainly some of the transitions. I've watched it twice with a friend and we laugh so much at the mirror transition from the trap to the police station. It looks so ridiculous. Saw IV overall is not that great imo, but I still enjoy it. Character-wise and story-wise it's a bit more forgettable though. It's not the worst Saw, but it's kind of in the middle for me.
Saw V is uh, not very good. I love the concept of it and the idea that they all could've escaped (it was quite predictable and not a good twist but whatever). I do think it wasn't executed that well though. I think if the characters were better and maybe the link between them was better, it could've worked. But imo Saw V is one of the weakest of the franchise. Also the first time I watched Strahm and Hoffman do anything, I straight up couldn't tell them apart. I wish they would've done at least something to make them look different because following that plot wasn't easy. But the ending is still pretty cool, I'll give it that.
Saw VI my beloved. I love this movie. I'd say it's more or less on the same level as Saw II. I love the traps and the idea of the whole thing being commentary about American health care. The shotgun carousel? One of the best traps in the franchise. At this point the non-trap plot is a bit ridiculous and Hoffman is like the most obvious jigsaw ever and it's kinda baffling how no one seems to know its him despite how obvious he makes it. But still, overall a great movie and I love it so much!
Saw VII/Saw 3D on the other hand is bad. Originally the idea of Saw 3D was supposed to be split into two different movies. But Saw VI didn't do as well as the studio wanted so they made the filmmakers put it into one movie instead of two. And I feel like it kinda shows. The plot is a bit all over the place at times and I also don't like the way this movie looks. Something about the colours look so off. The traps are okay. There's some cool ones, though why did the dudes wife had to die? She was innocent in the whole thing.
Anyway, it's cool to have Lawrence back but Saw 3D is not great. Also the therapy group plot is kinda funny to me.
Jigsaw... hate this movie. Worst movie in the franchise to me. It sucks so much. The traps are, as always, fine. But the plot? The twist that it's all before the first one? Stupid. Bullshit. I hate it. I also am an avid Logan hater. I'm an even bigger hater for whoever wrote "John didn't think I should die because of an honest mistake". Putting that person in a Saw trap. Because like what franchise did they watch? When has John Kramer ever done anything like that? Logan should be dead.
Even besides my Logan hate, this movie just isn't good. The characters aren't particularly memorable. I don't think the look of it works at all. It's all so yellow. None of it really works in my opinion. I don't like this movie at all. Fuck Jigsaw (2017), all my homies hate Jigsaw (2017).
Now Spiral I think is better than Jigsaw and is okay in general. I'd put it in the middle when it comes to all the movies. I know some people dislike it, but I think it's fine overall. The traps are pretty cool and I dont mind the change in voice/design of the copycat killer. The twist was very predictable honestly and I can't say the characters were like super well written. But the movie was alright imo. Love that they said acab as they should.
Saw X isn't out yet, but I'm so excited for it! The trailer came out really recently and augh I can't wait. It looks really cool!!!!! I already want to talk about it for hours

i think 2po forgets that there's actually a fair amount of quiet, unknown fans that attend cons regularly and even m&gs *gasp* but we don't shout about it or leak stuff.... and we know that he's just trying to sound like he has info when really, he's just like any other fan digging in sandboxes and trying to make a jigsaw out of the scraps they find there. there's 20 people in these things, just because he's loud and has loud sources, and hangs around in loud circles, doesn't mean the other fans sitting in those chairs are statues. we listen, we take note, we go back to our quiet little lives and have to watch BNFs run their mouths like they've been chosen as a direct conduit between the gods (actors) and the insects (fans). but actually, they're no different than those of us who are having a nice time in our spn bubble while we point at him and go "...the fuck is he talking about?"
lots of love from a m&g attendee that is tired of seeing him talk shit when he wasn't in the fucking room. he's also the most blatant anti in disguise i've ever seen. p.s. the whole reason i follow you is because of a m&g. do you know who i don't follow for the same reason? 2po. hopefully this helps some people that still think 2po is legit "ITK."
Lemme guess, it's the one I busted him lying on. You don't have to confirm it, but yeah. We knew he had been lying and spinning M&Gs for years for the same reason you just said. Nobody could pin him down on it. 20 people in the room and yeah, a lot hear how he's lying and everyone's been trapped on pinning him down on it. Because the SECOND I pulled the truth out he went WE'RE REPORTING IT. Huh. So you admit it's real then. Too bad your friend was drunk with an open container violating the NDA in row A of the theater within 5 minutes. That sucks for you. Very loud ranting. And the threats for hellers daring to heller in a cockles M&G were just a nice touch of frosting on the shit cake.
And it's so funny bc if you look at his sources--he thought he was being slick when he blatantly described Gayle and Suzanne--they're still. just fans. It's fans sourcing fans sourcing fans, and those bloated fans think they're Someone and they're getting furiouser and furiouser and coming at me harder and harder. Like, no, it doesn't matter that you invested millions in Jared and Mantra, Suzanne, he isn't running the show. Probably why yall flipped shit. Their corner is drying up, Jared's M&Gs aren't even selling out anymore at bottom price, even selling J2 only adds like +100 to Jensen's value. They're realizing only a few people wanna work with him anymore, he doesn't hang out with people from the old lot anymore, and no, he wasn't included in the prequel organization, and their brains are fucking melting.
Also why they hate the origin of it. Because then. Well. Let's just say when Jared exploded I was like
Tumblr media
our bad ig. Whatever. So like. Yeah. At least it's good to know other congoers are aware. I got a few reports today too of certain fans like "oh my god I met them you're right they're incredibly fucking obnoxious and think they're part of the cast", and really, that's what drives 2po's "ITK" shit. Fans feeding fans feeding fans feeding fans. Even Wiki is just a glorified fan, and the way she reeled back when 2po got her burned a few times tells me she's starting to realize that real quick.
And somehow this fandom had a stroke and forgot my warnings about coffeerunners like her that get elevated into first media roles not grokking their limitations and babbling to equally unqualified idiots, they forgot Manchin/Market Testing, they let that "fake script" shit get out of hand on purpose, and so on. What it boiled down to was she was salty I found a newer script than she was given access to, because she was hired in feb but given an old draft, which shows her content is screened, and I think she really did NOT like that reality.
It came from lack of understanding that like. Scripts are released the way they are to root out leakers just like her. Like TPTB knows now. She's never gonna get anything of worth now. She's just there as a rubber stamp hire to go LOOK OUR CANON WILL BE FINE WE HAVE THE WIKI when, realistically, as she isn't trained or studied for the job, her underqualification lets them get away with A LOT MORE SHIT so they get to giggle and flee and pat her on the head for a good job.
Like i said. the spnscripthunt server is a condensed form of the worst fans in all lanes. Antis, bitters, J2 tinhats, misha haters, manipulators, grifters, and active liars basically form the base, but they use the appeal of shiny scripts to radiate their garbage out through the people they manipulate into giving them free gold tickets.

saw x good
Spoilers for Saw X, obviously, but also the rest of the franchise.
What people who haven't seen Saw don't get about it is that it's not exactly torture porn—it's basically a soap opera centered around John Kramer, the Jigsaw Killer, that has torture porn elements. In fact, I think this dual identity is essential to any entry in the franchise, and you need to be invested in both halves for a Saw movie to really work.
So far, I can't think of a Saw that has truly failed on the "torture porn" half. Each movie features at least one or two solid traps (even Spiral!), and they manage to be pretty consistently inventive, letting them be memorable even when the characters trapped in them are lame as all hell. No, where Saw more often fails is on the "soap opera" angle, and that's because unfortunately, the series is bad about keeping good characters around.
ah fuck we killed that guy
The shoestring budgets, rapid production schedule, and hot-potato hiring of the Saw movies ensured that at no point would anyone get to sit down and pre-produce much of anything. Films kept getting greenlit and what are you gonna do, not have a Saw movie out in time for Halloween and the annual "Give 'Til it Hurts" blood drive?? Stupid fool. Of course they were gonna rush the first technically cogent thing out the door and onto the screen! And that's what they did—from 2004 (first Saw) until Saw VII in 2010, there was one out every year.
This seat-of-the-pants mode of writing gave rise to a Saw formula that relied on both a constant stream of pivotal deaths and a sensational twist in the last act. Every film needed a big character reveal, and because the only three real categories in the franchise are "Jigsaw apprentice", "trap victim", and "police", you can guess what happened. The identity of the Saw franchise became, not only torture porn, but the breathless story of Kramer and his apprentices outfoxing the police, complete with blackmail, skulduggery, and betrayal.
This caused some issues, but the Saw series got around these by being famously nonlinear. You kill Kramer in Saw III because you need a big-shock ending? That's OK! Let's hide a tape in his stomach and set the next movie at the same time! You need a big twist for the "final" Saw movie that upends everything we knew so far? Fuck it just show that Wesley was an apprentice the whole time!
The garbled wall of Polaroids and string that is Saw's timeline is a direct consequence both of the quick productions and the third-act twist expectation. Maybe it's confusing and stupid, but it's a central part of the franchise. Saw's story would be nothing without the constant twists and knots. And we care about this constant twisting and untwisting because we've gotten invested in the characters, or at least the character of John Kramer and his constellation of apprentices, and by extension the efforts of the cops to catch them.
so why doesn't Jigsaw work?
A few would argue it does! I have one friend in particular who resolutely insists that it is overhated (though even she would say "works" is a strong word).
What I feel about Jigsaw is that it is uncomfortable with being a Saw film and performs Saw unconvincingly. It's got a scene with Kramer because of course it's gotta have a scene with Kramer, but it's more invested in him giving Jigsaw's new villain that apprentice cred. It's got traps, obviously, but Buckethead and the death collars are kinda aped from previous movies. It's got the detective story and silly reveal going on, but many of Logan's actions feel performed specifically for the benefit of the audience (ironically, empty and theatrical), so it falls flat.
Fundamentally, I think Jigsaw is a bit embarrassed about being a Saw movie and thinks the solution to that is insistent self-seriousness rather than leaning in. It also looks higher-budget, like more of a production, than the previous films, but feels less distinctive as a result. To be honest, I'm a bit of a Spiral defender in this regard; even though it's a bad movie, it is at least successful in doing something new with the franchise, adding some comedy to it and creating a different guy, as compared to Jigsaw, which seems interminably indecisive, uncomfortable with what it is.
back to Kramer
The centerpiece of Saw X's engoodening. X seems committed to making Kramer the protagonist, which is hilarious to watch—the scene in which he calculates the position of Cecilia's hideout is shot, graded, and lit almost like a prestige drama. When we see that he's sketching out the Rack, there's no scary sting, it's just another silly wacky thing lovable old Tobin Bell is thinking about! We even see him display real remorse when Carlos gets caught up in his trapping of Cecilia's gang. X does what no Saw film before has yet had the balls to do and goes straight to "John Kramer as sympathetic protagonist". There's no soap opera in the previous two, no Jigsaw je nais sas quoi. They're clean, pretty, open-and-shut, fucking stupid on a level far too simple.
John Kramer's introduction changes all of this. We get the immediate investment that attends the series regular, the entry is instantly building on already-established events (or, as is Saw's way, awkwardly inserting new ones edgewise), and the trap setup feels like a true return to Jigsaw-Killer form. It's not that the trial maze format is a bad one per se, but you don't need it to make a good Saw movie, and so the creators went without.
lean the fuck in
Essentially, Saw X is a good movie because it is a committed and enthusiastic addition to the Saw franchise. It's not trying to reboot or factory-reset everything. it knows that the characters it has created are magnetic and so it brings them back. It's not trying to add new elements to the franchise that aren't really necessary, like wacky comedy hijinks or Logan. It delivers on the "torture porn" and it delivers as an additional episode in the Ballad of John Kramer, giving it the elements that it needs to succeed as a worthy entry in the Book of Saw.

You drunkenly admit how you really feel about Jungkook to your best friend Jimin
warnings: oc gets waaaasted, swearing, self-loathing, regret, angst
FULL SERIES COLLECTION
It’s been almost four weeks since the video leaked, thankfully the press coverage has finally dwindled down into barely anything new – though copies of the video still linger on the depths of the internet. You figure it’s time to get some normality back into your life now, a sense of routine, you can’t keep living in your best friend’s bed forever. As tempting as that does sound.
According to Taehyung the police are no closer to finding the source of the leak, much to your disappointment. You hope with every bone in your body that it’s proven Jungkook didn’t do this, but you know even if he’s innocent it’s too late – you’ve ignored his messages and calls for weeks, contact has dwindled down from over thirty missed calls a day to two, and barely any text messages. Just as you warm to the idea that maybe he didn’t do this, he’s slowly but surely taking the hint that you want to be left alone, what’s surprising to you is how upsetting you find this.
You’ve thought about calling him so many times, typed out so many text messages that ultimately you ended up deleting. There’s a part of you that wants to see him, a part of you that knows he’s not the culprit behind the demise of your life. But as he’s slowly giving up and respecting your previous wishes to cut contact with you, you don’t know if now is the right time to reach out to him. Perhaps some things are better left unsaid.
“You okay?” Jimin asks, pausing the TikTok video he’d been watching on repeat for the last five minutes, some kind of fireman thirst trap. The two of you are laid in bed together on a late Saturday afternoon.
“Yeah I’m fine,” You offer a reassuring smile, “Do you wanna go out tonight?” You ask, and he widens his usually small eyes.
“Like out out?” His confusion comes as no surprise to you, you’ve barely left the house for a whole month and now you’re suggesting a night out in London, the complete opposite of what you’ve been getting up to these days.
“Yeah.” You nod, you know you can’t live this way forever – sooner or later you’re going to have to show your face outside. And what better excuse could you have for getting absolutely paralytic drunk, “But I’m not going to Black Swan.”
Jimin shifts closer to you in the bed, throwing his muscular leg over yours, “Are you sure you’re ready to go out? What if people see us? I don’t mind staying in, really.”
At this you shake your head, “No I want to go out, besides we’ve already watched everything on Netflix and we finally finished that jigsaw,” You grin, “I think it’s a sign.”
Your best friend chuckles, sleepily rubbing his eyes as he finally locks his phone and shuts off TikTok, “It has been a while since we went out hasn’t it? I’m down. As long as you’re sure?”
“I’m one million percent sure, on one condition,” You hold up a slender digit with an amused expression, “Don’t ditch me for that guy you’ve been seeing, no matter how sexy he is.”
He sighs dramatically but eventually gives into your request, “Deal.”
Soon enough you’re walking down a street in Camden littered with pubs and clubs, linking arms with the only man you’ll ever trust with your whole heart. Jimin looks good tonight, he opted for a black shirt with the sleeves rolled up and fitted navy blue trousers, his brunette hair is parted in a way which flaunts his thick eyebrows and exposes his forehead. At the risk of sounding arrogant you look good tonight also, wearing a tight high-neck burgundy PVC dress that makes your breasts and bum look plump and amazing, your waist looks snatched as the material clings to you in all the right places, paired with strappy heels of the same colour. You figure if the paparazzi want to get pictures of you, you might as well give them something worth photographing. It’s official, you finally don’t give a fuck about what anybody has to say about you – you’re out with Jimin to have a fun night, everybody else can fuck off.
“Gotta say I love the bad bitch vibes you’re giving tonight.” Jimin chuckles, squeezing your forearm as your heels clink against the pavement.
“I’m done crying about it now,” You say with confidence, and for the most part you genuinely believe that, “What’s done is done.”
“Well it’s good to have you back Y/N.” Jimin beams, leading you into a grungy-looking punk night club.
“It’s good to be back darling,” You ignore the way the bouncer recognises you straight away and step inside, “Shots?”
As expected the paparazzi spot your arrival and snap hundreds of pictures of you, your only response is to smile and pose with the man you arrived with, ignoring their questions about Jungkook and the video entirely. There was a time when this would’ve forced you to tears, but just like you said to Jimin moments ago – you’ve done your crying, it’s time you took control of your life and started living again.
Eventually the swarm of cameras starts to fizzle out, presumably as they realised you’re not going to entertain their presence aside from a few photographs. For the first time in a long time you feel empowered as you continue to ignore their questions, instead choosing to drink an unholy amount of alcohol that eventually has you feeling … more than a little drunk.
“Let’s dance!” You grip Jimin’s elbow and drag him to the glowing dancefloor that’s pulsating rhythmically to the beat of the song.
“I think you need to slow down.” He chuckles, though there’s a flicker of caution in his eyes.
“I’m fine!” You yell, exaggeratedly pointing toward your huge smile. It’s around thirty minutes and six drinks later when you’re swaying your hips to the lyrics of a song that a girl stumbles into your body, earning you to spill the contents of your drink onto the ground.
“I am so sorry!” She gasps, she must be having a good night you think to yourself, her eyes are hooded and drunk-stained red.
“It’s okay!” You reassure her, you’re in too much of a good mood to really care. It could’ve been worse after all.
The girl’s mouth falls open, a realisation hitting her like a tonne of bricks, “I know you!”
This gets your attention. You’re giving the girl a once over, she’s stunning – her eyes are the palest bluest thing you’ve ever seen, contrasting against her deep olive skin and jet black hair that’s slicked back into a high ponytail. She has an amazing figure too, one fit enough to pull off leather hot pants and a pink corset, envy washes over you at how beautiful she is – but you still don’t recognise her.
“You do?” Your brow quirks, Jimin’s too.
“You’re Y/N!” She yells, clapping her hands together loudly, “You’re Jungkook’s girlfriend!”
Oh. That’s how she knows you. You fight the urge to grimace as you register she must’ve seen the video, a deadly cocktail of vodka and fury bubbling within.
“Have we met?” You ignore the mention of Jungkook’s name, as it sends a particularly hard pang to your chest. Maybe drinking this much wasn’t such a good idea after all, the room is spinning but you can still make out her evil grin.
She shakes her head, “No, I’m his ex-girlfriend.” Jealousy adds fuel to the fire already threatening to explode inside your body, “I’m Jennie!”
“Oh!” You say surprised, in the time that you and Jungkook were together you’d never heard her name, nor did you realise he had any exes – he’d always told you that you were his first, “I didn’t-, sorry I’m a little drunk,” You chuckle mostly to yourself, “I didn’t know he had any exes!” You admit as Jimin watches on in horror.
“That’s weird,” She bites her lip seductively, “I guess he forgot about me… Being so busy in that beach hut with you.”
“The fuck did you just say?” Alcohol talks for you, throwing any decorum you have completely out the window. In life there are two kinds of people, the people that stand there and take shit from others – and the people that don’t. This is the moment you choose to be the latter.
Jennie giggles, “It’s hardly a secret now is it? Count yourself lucky, he was never that… Passionate with me.” Not only does Jungkook have an ex-girlfriend you know nothing about, but she’s also watched the video, and she’s also a fucking bitch.
“Lucky?!” You scoff, “You think—”
“Y/N.” Jimin grips your arm before you can fully raise it to her face, something you hadn’t even realised you were close to doing until now. The strobe lights flash on your best friend’s stern face, he’s not half as drunk as you are and so you trust his judgement over yours, “Come on lets go.”
“…Okay.” You breathe out, nodding in agreement. There are cameras all over the club, each one focussed on your every move. You’re drunk, you’re angry, but most importantly of all you know that Jimin is right, you need to leave before you do something you’ll regret.
“Tell daddy to answer my calls.” Jennie winks, and that’s the last thing you remember seeing before Jimin escorts you out of the club.
You’re fuming, understandably given how someone you’d never even met before tried to provoke you, deep down you know all she wanted was a reaction – and you already regret giving her one. Vodka, whiskey and gin swims in your bloodstream and fogs your senses as you stumble into the dimly lit street, clinging on to Jimin’s strong arm for dear life.
“Don’t do it.” He warns, watching you haphazardly pull your phone from your bag, “You’ll regret it tomorrow.”
“That sounds like a problem for future Y/N.” You slur, heading straight to yours and Jungkook’s text message thread. “I wanna know why he didn’t tell me about his ex—"
“Come on let’s go home, you’re wasted.” Jimin sighs, draping your left arm over his shoulders as you continue to fumble with your phone in the right. The fresh air enveloping your body only emphasises just how much you’ve had to drink, Jimin is right – you are wasted.
“I want to see him.” You admit with a sad smile, you feel so guilty about the things you said when you last saw him.
“Tonight’s not the night for that, if you feel the same way tomorrow you have my blessing to message him.” He’s walking slowly, probably because you’re dragging your feet on the ground and resting all your weight on him.
“I miss him so much.” You hum, closing your eyes.
Jimin exhales, sounding almost relieved, “I know you do.”
“Just-, just between us I think that I loved him.” Your tone oozes regret, your breath is hot on his cheek as you fall into his body, thankfully he catches you in time just before you hit the cold pavement.
“Just between us I know that you still do.”
--
When you wake you’re lying face down in Jimin’s double bed, alone, almost suffocating in the feather pillow. You groan at the banging sensation in your skull, reaching to your phone that’s being charged atop of the small bed side table. It’s midday. Sunlight burns your body through the crack in the grey curtains, you don’t remember getting home or getting changed into a pair of Jimin’s blue and purple checked pyjamas but here you are, confused and very hungover.
Last night is a blur, you can’t recall anything specific that happened – save for drinking more than you could handle.
You groan again, praying to every higher power that you didn’t say or do anything too embarrassing on your drunken endeavours, but when you unlock your phone you’re greeted with a message thread that confirms your biggest fears.
Y/N: Com and get me please I wamt to see you
Jungkook: Where are you? Are you safe?
Y/N: I miss you Kook
Jungkook: Where are you? I’m on my way
Y/N: Why didn you tel me yoiur ex
Jungkook: Answer the phone
Jungkook: Please
Y/N: She is stunnin g
Jungkook: What? Answer the phone
Jungkook: Are you safe?
Y/N: Jimin
Jungkook: Are you with him?
Jungkook: Answer your phone
“Jimin?!” Your voice is croaky and sore, winning you to cough into your shoulder, you feel so violently ill but you need answers, you need to know what happened last night and what prompted you to message your ex sugar daddy, “Jimin come here please!”
Nothing. He must be at the gym. And so you dial his number instead.
“Hey Y/N.” Jimin sounds out of breath, “How you feeling?”
“What happened last night?” You whine with pouted lips, covering your face with your free hand.
“Don’t be mad at me you’re the one who messaged him.” He chuckles, you hear beeps from a treadmill in the background, presumably as he decreases his speed, “I tried to talk you out of it, you said it was a problem for future Y/N.”
You stifle yet another disappointed groan, “Yeah that sounds like me.”
“Is he awake?”
“How am I supposed to know? I’ve only just seen the messages.” You frown, you haven’t been awake long enough to function properly yet.
“How long have you been up?” He sounds confused, you get the feeling you’re missing something bigger here.
“Less than two minutes.”
“Ah,” Jimin clicks his tongue, “There’s pain killers for you in the living room.”
“Thank you so much.” You sigh, mustering the courage to get out of bed, your body is screaming that it needs water.
“I’m gonna go, but… Don’t be mad, okay?”
“Why would I be mad?” Your bare feet hit the carpet as you gather strength for the short walk to the water and pain killers. Jimin ends the call abruptly, winning you to frown and quietly curse him under your breath.
A quiet knock on the bedroom door startles you, you freeze on the bed and glance around the room for any possible weapons. Jimin’s at the gym, he lives alone, or at least he did until you moved in. The wooden door opens slowly, with caution, and for the first time in almost a month your eyes meet Jungkook’s.
“Hey,” He clears his throat, his voice is huskier than you remember it, “I brought you some water and pain killers.” He doesn’t come into the room, he remains in the doorway holding your hangover cure.
The first thing you notice is that his hair is a little longer, the raven locks messily cover his hooded eyes in places. He looks…bigger than you remember him, his black oversized Balenciaga t shirt doesn’t seem so oversized anymore. He’s wearing tight jeans of the same colour and Doc Martens, all tied together with a pained expression contorting his sharp features.
“What are you doing here?” Your voice is merely a whisper, you know you look like shit right now, you can’t bring yourself to look him in the eye. Instead you settle your vision on the long silver chain he’s wearing.
“You don’t remember?” He exhales, somewhat shakily. You don’t need to look at him to know that he’s gazing at you with something indescribable.
At this you shake your head, you don’t remember a thing.
“You texted me and asked me to pick you up… But I couldn’t make sense of the messages so I called Jimin,” He clears his throat again, “He said that you were really drunk, he was struggling to get you home so I came and got you.”
“But you hate driving.” Is all you manage to say.
“I know,” The hint of a smile ghosts his lips, “But you needed me.”
Silence falls upon the messy room, your clothes from last night are strewn across the floor. You cringe, wishing you could remember anything past being on the dancefloor with Jimin. It’s when you see your black lacy underwear at the foot of the bed, next to the newly completed Disney Princess jigsaw that you have to ask:
“We didn’t-, nothing happened did it?”
“No,” He reassures you, chewing his lower lip nervously, “You were wasted Y/N, I wouldn’t take advantage of you like that.”
“…I know,” You breathe out, “I’m sorry.” There’s a small pause before you speak again, “Thank you for bringing me back here, but... Why did you stay?” You find the courage to look at his face, immediately retting that decision. He’s still so handsome, so effortlessly handsome, and he’s looking at you with so much sadness in his eyes that your heart aches.
“Jimin slept out, but he wasn’t going to leave you on your own in that state, he almost cancelled on whoever he was supposed to be meeting so… I said I’d stay with you and told him to go. Don’t worry I slept on the sofa.”
“I don’t need a babysitter I’m a big girl,” You chuckle awkwardly, mostly to yourself, “But thank you, you can come in you know.”
Despite the obvious tension weighing the air in the room, you have to admit you’ve missed Jungkook. You feel comfortable in his presence, you feel safe. You watch him cautiously step over the threshold of the bedroom, his inked fingers graze yours as he passes you the items he initially brought for you.
“So… You’re okay?” He asks, awkwardly sitting next to you on the bed.
“This isn’t my first hangover.” You smile, genuinely smile upon smelling the familiar scent of his expensive cologne. “I’m sure I’ll be fine.”
“No I meant-,” He smiles back, he’d almost forgotten all about your brattish sense of humour, “…How have you been?”
“Fine.” You lie, trying to save face. It’s so obvious you’re not fine. “How have you been?” You throw the white pills to the back of your throat and chug them down with the glass of water, placing it on the side table when it’s empty.
“Fine.” He lies too, it’s obvious he isn’t fine either, he’s palming his knees anxiously, “So you you mentioned that you met Jennie last night?”
Ah, Jennie. Jungkook’s ex-girlfriend. It all comes rushing back to you, how beautiful she was, how much of a fucking bitch she was… How she referred to Jungkook as daddy, just like you once had.
“Mmm,” You nod, “She’s stunning.” You look at him for any kind of reaction, but he doesn’t react at all, instead he stares at the television in the corner of the room – even though it’s turned off and only displays the faint reflection of your conversation.
“Mmm.” He doesn’t agree nor disagree with your comment much to your disappointment, ruffling his hair, “Was she rude to you?” He sounds tired.
“A little, nothing I couldn’t handle.”
To this he chuckles, the sound alone makes your heart pound even harder as he’s turning to face you, “Of course not. Things with her didn’t end well, so I’m sorry if she said something to you.”
“Why didn’t you tell me you have an ex-girlfriend?” Curiosity gets the better of you as you try not to get completely lost in his big brown doe-eyes. “I mean I guess it’s none of my business now but--”
“She’s not an ex-girlfriend. She was-, you know…”
“Oh…” It hits you, she’s an ex-sugar baby of his. Of course you knew that there had been others before you, but you’d never pried into his past or asked many questions about it – mostly because your self-esteem can’t handle the idea of him being with another woman. Especially not a woman like her. The memory of her calling him daddy makes much more sense to you now, you grimace. “She wants you to answer her calls by the way.”
“Well that’s not gonna happen.” He’s quick to dismiss you, you watch his Adam’s apple bob in his throat when his eyes focus on your lips for a split second, “Uh-, I should go, I’m glad you’re okay. I’ve never seen you that drunk before.”
“I’m not sure I’ve ever been that drunk before.” The corners of your mouth turn up ever so slightly, as do his, “I’m really sorry.”
“Don’t apologise, I’m just glad you’re safe—”
“No,” Your hand quickly finds his hard shoulder as you stop him in his tracks, “I’m sorry about what I said to you the last time I saw you.” It feels so good to finally get that off your chest.
Jungkook nods slowly, trying to ignore how he still melts beneath your touch, “Everybody says shit they don’t mean out of anger.” He sighs, peeking his head around the room, not daring to look you in the eye.
“You didn’t.” You remind him.
“I wasn’t angry.” Now he’s looking at you, and it’s intense, “I’m upset that you think I’m the one who leaked the video, but I was never angry, not with you anyway.”
“Jungkook…” You whisper his name for what feels like the first time in forever. Deep down you know he didn’t do what you initially accused him of, now that you’ve calmed down you can feel he’s just as devastated by this as you are, “I-, I don’t think it was you. I mean I did, but… God the things I said… I’m so sorry.”
“I’ve missed you Y/N.” His expression is unreadable, while you don’t expect him to forgive you his words give you a spark of hope, and you cling onto that spark with everything you have.
“I’ve missed you too.”
“I called you every day,” He loosely grips your wrist and removes it from his shoulder, settling for lacing his fingers with yours, “I texted you every day… You asked Taehyung if he thought you should call me, and then never did.”
“I know.” You gently squeeze his hand, guilt gnawing your insides for ignoring him all this time, you try and justify yourself even though you’re well aware that he has every right to feel the way he feels, “I needed space to process everything… I really am sorry.”
“I know.” He squeezes your hand back, his voice low and full of emotion, “I just wish you would’ve told me that rather than storming out my apartment and never coming back.”
“I-,” You’re nodding in agreement, you know you’ve fucked up, “I know.”
Your phone buzzing wins you both to look at the source of the vibrations, it’s face down against the bed sheets so you’ve no idea who’s calling you – nor do you care at this moment in time.
“Are you gonna get that?” Jungkook asks, comfortably rubbing his thumb across the top of your index finger.
“It can wait.” You give him an apologetic smile, keeping a tight grip of his tattooed hand, “I really don’t expect you to forgive me…”
“Forgive you? Y/N you’ve done nothing wrong.”
“I’ve been ignoring you for weeks.”
To this he sighs knowingly, closing his eyes, “I’m not saying you handled things perfectly because you didn’t,” He shifts his weight on the bed, turning his body to face you completely as he sits cross-legged, “But neither did I, I’m just glad you’re okay. I’ve been worried about you.”
“It was rough at first, but I’m okay. I’ve been worried about you too, I’ve been Googling you every five minutes.” You chuckle at how pathetic your honesty sounds, mirroring his movements and sitting cross-legged on the bed facing him, your hand still swallowed by his.
“I swear I had nothing to do with the leak.”
“I know, and I believe you.”
“So what happens now?” His question comes after a brief comfortable silence, catching you off-guard, “Between us.”
You grab his other hand and look him dead in the eye, realising nothing else matters, not how messy the bedroom is, not how badly your head aches from the hangover, not the paparazzi nothing. Just you and him.
“I’ve missed you so much Jungkook.”
“I know, and I believe you.” He copies your words with the faintest yet most genuine smile, “I’ve missed you too.”
“So what does happen now?” You’re nervous, you don’t know what you expect him to say but your rapidly beating heart wants nothing more than for him to accept your apology and hold you in his arms. You feel like an idiot for taking so long to realise that he could never hurt you in the ways you accused him of, whenever you’ve needed him he’s been there for you. In an ironic twist of fate when you needed him the most you were the one who pushed him away. “Between us?”
At this his profile turns serious, he’s frowning, staring at you so intensely that you feel almost small, his eyes are shiny and resemble exactly how they looked the night you left him. His head nods once, twice, three times as he braces himself, he lets go of your hands and tightly grips either side of your jaw, his palms warm against your cheeks as he desperately pulls your face closer to his.
“Come here.”

In the jigsquad, which characters are the closest/have the most defined friendships with each other?
This is a good one! I had to consult Tibby to make sure I was remembering everyone lol, but as far as friendships:
Peter + Lindsey: Agents partnered together who really do care a lot about each other. Lindsey may be Peter's only friend, but that doesn't change how important she is to him, and Lindsey is one of the only people who can actually put up with Peter's neurotic ass while also giving a genuine shit about him. Inseparable.
Adam + Amanda: The ACTUAL besties. They get along like a house on fire and really care very deeply for each other's wellbeing. Despite their rocky start, they'll do anything to keep each other safe and try to help each other as much as they can when they're having a hard time with the lives they're being forced to lead.
Adam + Mark: Neither of them saw this one coming but they're surprisingly closer than they ever expected to be. Very much frat bro energy but also like, actual sincere moments of care thrown in there too. (Mark did break Peter's nose because he was that mad that someone had hurt Adam after all, there's something there.) As Adrian put it before, their dynamic is very “large horrible beast of a man is whipped for a weird twink," and it's both funny but surprisingly genuine at times. Also Adam very jokingly flirts with Mark occasionally and it definitely does something to Mark's brain lol.
Lawrence + Amanda: They have their own sweet little friendship. They don't always get each other but they care very deeply for one another and it shows in how they try to look out for each other in their unique ways. (Lawrence taking care of Mandy's wounds, Amanda slipping him money to help pay for the house and sometimes stealing things for him that he needs, stuff like that.)
Lawrence + Lynn: Respected doctors who both have a weird little freak for a partner that they'd do anything for. Both also involved in doing medical malpractice involving Jigsaw related injuries (tho Lynn's more on the post game side of care while Lawrence does the prep work.) They get each other and get along very well together.
Lawrence + Brit: Similar situation to Lawrence and Lynn, both have a weird little man they picked up from their respective traps who they'd die for. Brit is also a super efficient member of Team Jigsaw who Lawrence knows he can count on in a pinch and is usually fairly good company to be around while the other three are off doing stupid shit together. Brit isn't As involved in the Jigsaw work as the squad is, but she's still someone they care for all the same.
Jill + Allison: This one starts as friends but eventually maybe moves to something a bit closer. Divorced exes of team Jigsaw who are just glad to find someone who understands the chaos they went thru without being weird about it and who get along better than they ever expected. Jill is also really good with Diana which Allison is fond of.
Jill + Adam: Maybe friends is a bit of a strong word for what they have, but Jill took a special interest in checking up on Adam after he was unwillingly recruited to the team since she could see how much John hated him, and realized how much he didn't deserve that treatment. They occasionally go out for lunches together, and it's a little awkward, but the effort is appreciated on both ends.
Diana + Corbett: Children who were both involved in Jigsaw games and whose parents are now both coworkers helping with said games. They don't know about their parents involvement of course, but they get along well and can actually like, talk to each other about what they went thru so it helps them both.
And I feel like this goes without saying but like. The whole Jigsquad (Mark Mandy Adam Lawrence) are all friends while also being Family. Nothing can separate them as a group at this point.

Do time or the other links smoke? Or drink? Or do some kind of drugs? I mean when your out heroing you're going to get alot of traum
Something they all at least somewhat have to try and take the edg off or do they have other ways of coping? I am sorry if this sounds like an ask,i was more along the lines trying to get your speculation on the matter
Masterlist
I see what you're saying and I do think that some of them would have had bad habits in the past but yeah-
They do need some time to take the edge off and refocus themselves in the present, but how do they do that in a healthy and safe way?
Let's talk about that.
I don't think I have all the necessary tags so go forth at your own discretion.
Time
Time would have definitely had a drinking problem that would have started in his Termina days.
He's never really felt the need to drink though- he only found that it would have kept him from going crazy.
But as he got out of there and talked more to Malon (and have his supply cut off- (just because he knew where to get it in Termina doesn't mean he knows where to get it in Hyrule, (nor would they give it to him, even if he did))), I like to think that he would have had to find other ways to calm himself down and think rationally through his thoughts and desires.
It happens by accident.
He was working at Lon Lon Ranch when he needed to go chop some wood and he found the repetitive and strenuous work, soothing.
He felt good. Accomplished even.
And a little disappointed when he was finished.
But he started doing that whenever he could and it became his main way to not only blow off some steam but to also calm himself down.
It helps with his anxiety and his need to help feel useful even when nothing is really happening that would require his assistance.
Twilight
Twilight finds that manual labor actually makes his anxiety worse.
He can't really find it within himself to get lost in it because he's already programmed for that to be a part of his day to day life anyway. So his brain can still go on and on even as he gets his chores done.
Twilight finds that a secluded spot with little distraction works best.
He's never really dabbled in other ways to deal with it nor has it come to his mind.
All he knew one say was that everything was too much and that he needed to be in a different area entirely.
No people, no noise.
He likes to hang out by small creeks or by the lake and fish if he really needs an excuse to do something.
Bonus points if he can rest with one of his favorite goats nearby, but that's few and far in between.
It's less meditation and more taking in the moment and letting time slip by for a change.
No to do lists, no action, no survival, no need to be on the run.
Just breath.
Warrior
Warrior would have smoked during the war but I don’t think he’d actually tolerate it all that well. I feel like he’d be more inclined to drink away his problems but with shortages left and right, and all efforts going into the war, there just wouldn’t be enough to go around.
So he’d smoke and hate it.
But it worked in a pinch.
Afterwards, whether through Mask’s and Wind’s influence or the end of the war, he’d want to find a way to quit.
It wasn’t easy but I feel like Warrior would attempt to quit cold turkey. Just drop the habit completely and what does he do when he feels the need arise again?
It’s actually little said than done, but he paints.
It’s less with ink and paint and more so, just moving his hands and a brush around.
If he happens to have a canvas it’s better but again, not easy to come around.
So what Warrior ends up doing most of the time, is taking a brush and some homemade ink from berries and brushing it over his scars. His favorite spot is the massive burn covering his left arm left behind as a gift from the Dragon Knight.
It feels tingly and electric, static follows the brush and the muscles clench with energy from the contact but while it’s uncomfortable for a while, it’s also not entirely unpleasant and it’s soothing to watch and feel. And it grounds Warrior in the moment until he no longer feels the urge.
When the urge is gone, he still does it when he feel anxious and concerned. Late at night is typical time for him to do this, where no one would see him or his scars and judge him for it.
Sky
Sky in the beginning would have slept more than he did before.
He was already inclined to fall asleep easily before all of his trauma, but afterwards he seemed to lose motivation to continue with the idea that things would go back to normal. There was still a lot of expectation placed on his shoulders and it was frankly not something he wanted to deal with.
So he sleeps.
Now this turns into more of a problem with being able to stay awake and to stay concentrated. It’s hard for him to pay attention to anything beyond him and that won’t do, considering me still has to finish his schooling.
What Sky does more often than not to keep him tethered to the present moment is work with his hands. He’s already had the tools for wood whittling but he was never allowed to use them in class and it ends being a bigger mess sometimes than he’s willing to deal with in general.
Sky also has some small pockets of clay that he fidgets with to keep his hands moving and he can keep it under his desk so that it’s not that distracting in class.
It helps him focus and when he thinks about what he’s been through and what he plans to do next, it keeps him from getting overwhelmed.
Wild
I think Wild would have just gone silent and unmoving when he’s having a bad day.
Kind of similar to how he gets when’s trapped in a memory but for longer and he doesn’t eat or sleep. It could last days at a time. He doesn’t even move unless he’s prompted or dragged to the spot.
The lights are on but no one’s home you know.
There’s not a lot he can do when it happens. Everyone just has to wait for it to pass and hope that it passes quickly.
But Wild gets better with time to know the signs when of one of those days is coming.
It’s not much, but Wild like to hop on the back of his horse and just take off.
Feel the rushing wind on his face and through his hair. He’s a full gallop for a while until the poor horse gets tired. At that point he just goes to the nearest stable and exchanges horses to do the whole thing over again.
Sometimes, when that’s not enough, he’ll go base jumping from as high as he can get even using Revali’s Gale to get higher and free fall. Wild is pretty good at catching himself with his paraglider at the last moment and he likes to see all of Hyrule when as he reaches the ground again.
It reminds him that he’s done a lot of good, that he’s capable of doing more good and that life isn’t over just one ended.
Four
Unsurprisingly, sometimes Four gets too lost in his own for his own good.
He’s got a lot to think about and very little way to get it out.
Four would actually throw himself into his work to try and distract himself from the memories, the anxiety, and the guilt of not being enough time and time again even if he saved the day in the end.
This doesn’t help.
He gets so lost into it, in his attempt to stop thinking all together that he completely goes into autopilot and over works himself. Not in the sense that he pulls a muscle and has to take it easy  or end up sore and tired and regrets it. No, no. What I mean is that he’ll keep working for days on end.
No sleep.
No food.
Little water.
No fresh air.
It ends up being a hard habit for him to break. Especially since he finds himself continuously trying to fall into a blank mindset even while he actually works to get commissions done.
So what Four has to do is find something else to do. Four more or less always has to have his hands moving, so it’s hard for him to put something down and not working on it.
He likes jigsaw puzzles, he likes to read, but he also likes to make stuff.
So in the end, when Four feel a little overwhelmed and feels himself slip into a self deprivational state, he’ll stop and goes inside his house to do a smaller project.
So he bakes, he knits, he does his puzzels. It’s enough for him to feel productive still but quick enough for him to stay present and make sure he’s still taking care of himself until the restlessness passes.
Wind
Wind doesn’t really have bad habits. He’s still young and processing his adventures.
I’m sure there’s alcohol on the pirate ship because pirates. But I don’t think he’d like it as much as some people want to write him.
Like, sure, a cup or two ain’t bad but I just can’t see Wind having a drinking problem. At least not now as everything stands.
In a few years it’s might be something he would need to be on the look out for if he’s aware enough but he was quite grasped the full implications of his position and trauma yet.
Because he’s just a kid.
He won’t know how twisted what happened to him was until he gets older and can he the age outside of his own mindset.
Wind has nightmares though and they’re ties when he gets memories that he doesn’t want to deal with at the moment- or ever again.
In the moment he thinks of his home, his grandma and his sister instead.
He thinks of his friends, both old and new.
The chain help with distracting him and he’s not above using them for the distraction when he feels that he needs one.
Wind also stretches a lot.
When he was with Warrior, he got into some of the drills they were teaching the soldiers and for some of the nimble ones, they had to start with stretches and he likes it.
So when it gets particularly bad, he throws himself through the motions and holds the poses for a bit longer than necessary.
So yoga. He does yoga.
And it centers him, it clears his head and he feels better after.
Legend
Legend screams.
Legend cries.
Legend will go on a rampage and destroy a whole forest if he’s having a particularly hard day.
Sometimes he’ll go find something big and scary just to fight it.
Blacksmithing is more a hobby for him at this point because it’s not something he can actually see himself doing in the future. It’s just to pass the time and help the day’s go by a little faster.
Legend likes to draw and when he’s tired after throwing whatever tantrum has taken over him, he’d go to a quiet spot and draw whatever he sees.
Sometimes, when he’s paying more attention to himself and he can feel himself getting frustrated and anxious, he takes a few days off.
He leaves his house and his items and goes up a mountain to think with some food, a notebook and some pencils.
He takes up map making.
Legend doesn’t think he’s any good at it, but with al the places he’s been, he tries to make a map for them by memory incase anyone he knows or will meet decides to visit.
His most carefully crafted map is of Koholint for... reasons.
It’s takes him an age and a half and he’s still not done with it, trying to get as much of it onto the paper as he can remember before he grows old and loses them entirely within his memory.
It’s a calming project he finds. He doesn’t feel sad when he does this for Marin for the people and their memory. It keeps them alive in his heart and sometimes he draws something on the map that doesn’t quite fit into his memory about the island but something tells him to keep it because it was there. Because he was only a visitor to their home.
The locals would know.
He feels good keeping them alive in some way.
It’s what she they would have wanted.
It’s what she they deserve.
She They always wanted to travel and it’s better to have a map to do so.
He takes up map making.
Hyrule
I don’t think Hyrule’s... Hyrule has a lot of these methods to go around. He wouldn’t have been exposed to drugs or alcohol simply because there’s too little people for him to interact with.
And if he was, I don’t think he’s use them as a coping mechanism simply because they would be too difficult obtain and gather to be sufficient.
I think that Hyrule would actually hang out with a Great Fairies by her pool when times got particularly rough.
There’s something about the place that resonates with him and feels calming, safe and relaxing to him.
As a bonus he’s always welcomed so he can pop in and stay for days at a time if he ever needed to.
He does not stay there for days.
But he appreciates the offer.
Hyrule doesn’t stay for more than few hours at a time because he doesn’t want to attract any monsters to his safe spots but even if the fairies don’t use any magic on him, he’s always rejuvenated afterwards and he feel like he can take on anything.
And given the world he comes from- it’s needed.

Summary: He doesn’t quite remember how you fell into bed with each other, only that he’d give anything to take it back, and he’d give everything to keep it going.
Author's Note: I love Fall Out Boy and apparently I'm incapable of letting Bucky Barnes be happy, so here's a drabble-y fic. Also, this is part of @belladonnabarnes's writing challenge, so please do yourself a favor and check out Jaye's writing as well as the other fics written for the challenge. Title (and inspiration) from “Headfirst Slide Into Cooperstown On A Bad Bet” by Fall Out Boy.
Warning(s): Angst, implied smut (very non-graphic), Bucky-centric and Bucky's POV
Word Count: 1,081
( masterlist / ao3 )
These are Bucky’s favorite moments with you: the ones he can steal outside of time and reality, where you’re resting peacefully next to him and he’s awake to just breathe in time with you. The ones where he can pretend that he’s got a steel trap mind instead of a jigsaw memory, where he can pretend he’s a permanent resident in the space beside you. The version of events where he can stay.
Pale moonlight leaks through your blinds and onto your skin, creating a cage of shadow on your bare shoulders. All that can be heard in the room is the rhythmic breathing of your sleep, and the crickets outside.
The moonlight also illuminates the nightstand on your side of the bed, a picture of your husband - Steve, Bucky’s best friend -  protectively watches over you as you rest (possessively glares at Bucky over your shoulder).
It makes Bucky feel sick.
He wonders about Steve a lot, in the aftermath of making love to you. Steve, with his golden hair and winning smile, his endless strength and optimism. Steve, with his betrayals and broken promises. Does Steve know how your smile lights up the whole room? Does he know the way the band of the wedding ring you still wear gleams golden in the early evening sunlight? Bucky remembers your wedding day, remembers the way the two of you beamed at each other. Does Steve know your secret smiles, the shy ones? Had he memorized your gasps and moans, the way you glittered with sweat? Had you screamed his name with the same conviction you now scream Bucky’s?
And had he forgotten it? Because, looking at your hair against the pillow and the serene expression on your sleeping face, Bucky can’t fathom leaving you. Can’t imagine that he’d be able to part from you unless HYDRA took him again.
Despite what everyone had assumed, Bucky doesn’t know why Steve left. He doesn’t know what those seventy years they spent apart had done to Steve, or how the little guy who got in alleyfights, the one he followed to his death, could ever become a man who leaves behind people who care about him for a pipedream that should’ve died at the bottom of the ocean but instead stayed frozen solid in his mind. He doesn’t know how a man who shines so bright he’s basically sunshine can’t melt away his nostalgia and see what’s right in front of him.
Bucky knows, or remembers at least, what happened in the aftermath. Remembers Sam’s rejection of the shield, and the pseudo-cap that came after. He remembers the night you showed up at his apartment, stumbling and screaming at him through slurred words, asking how he could let Steve do this to you and also how dare he make you worry by not answering your calls?
He doesn’t quite remember how you fell into bed with each other, only that he’d give anything to take it back, and he’d give everything to keep it going.
There are a lot of things Bucky doesn’t know - he’s a former amnesiac in a century he wasn’t supposed to see. But he knows one thing: he can never live up to Steve. He isn’t your sunlight, just the only other person on the planet who knows exactly what it is to lose it. You were Icarus. You had loved the sun too closely and got burned because of it, and Bucky’s arms were the vast and open sea you plummeted to in the aftermath. The two of you aren’t lovers, not really, just complementary fragments trying to find somewhere you can fit.
And really, that’s Bucky’s skillset, being not-quite. Not-quite your boyfriend, not-quite a person, not-quite a hero, not-quite dead. He can do this for you, and if he gets to love you in the meantime, that’s just a bonus.
But he doesn’t get to stay. He doesn't know a lot, but he knows that much.
He slowly, carefully, lifts the covers and crawls out of the bed. His clothes aren’t folded or anything but they’re in a pile by the door. The two of you have been doing this long enough for him to have learned how to get out quickly, the way he cases the exits on missions. He knows which floorboards to avoid because they could creak and wake you up. He knows to ignore that nagging feeling that the eyes of his friend on your bedside are watching him go.
He’s never asked you about any of this: how you feel about Steve, or him, or that movie he knows you saw on Tuesday because you tweeted about it and he has your post notifications on. He doesn’t know why you still wear your wedding ring, or why you let people talk to you like you’re Captain Rogers’s widow instead of telling them the truth. He only knows that you do, and he really doesn’t need to know any more than that.
He tries to shut your door as gently as possible, knows that you can startle awake if he does it too loud. He doesn’t look back. That’s part of it, this routine he has with you. When he leaves, he never looks back.
He wonders, sometimes, what it’s like for you to wake up in the mornings after he leaves. Wonders if you open those beautiful eyes and for a second, they’re confused (maybe even disappointed). But he doesn’t know, will never let himself ask, and he’s okay with that. There are a lot of things Bucky doesn’t know.
(For example, Bucky doesn’t know how good you are at closing your eyes and evening out your breathing to make it seem like you’re asleep. He doesn’t know that you wait, with even but bated breaths, for him to stay. Just once.
Bucky doesn’t know, because you never tell him - because he doesn’t stay long enough for you to gather the courage to say it - that he is the strongest and bravest person you’ve ever known. Doesn’t know that you trust the metal of his left arm more than you trust the metal ring Steve gave you that lives on your left hand. That when he touches you with it you feel like the gold from the crevices leaks out into your skin, turning you gold.
Bucky doesn’t know that you watch him walk away from the house everytime he leaves, and hope against reason that this time he’ll turn back.)

You know I fully expected to dislike House of Ashes because I dislike the 'modern military main cast' trope a lot and the setting didn't appeal to me that much either but I actually ended quite enjoying most of the characters and the story.
Trust me, I felt the same way. Like. My sibling and two long-time friends are/were marines and I don’t speak to any of those mother fuckers anymore for good damn reason — they’re absolutely intolerable lol. So while these games have become a yearly tradition for me, I wholeheartedly expected to want most if not all of the cast dead by end game.
But yeah. Color me thoroughly surprised. The game was pretty good as a whole, and I don’t think some of the reviews calling it the series’ “Resident Evil 4 moment” is wrong tbh. Salim was the first surprise — and not because they made an “enemy” of the rest of the cast a main character. That’s kind of expected given the theme of the game that’s established literally 15 minutes in. It’s just refreshing that’s he’s actually a very fleshed out, very human character that’s easy for almost anyone to empathize with, and you just don’t see that shit very often in horror. Usually you end up with the Until Dawn crew, except unironically stereotypical.
That’s the reason why I was so personally shellshocked by Jason — a character who I immediately began plotting to kill off from the very first time he spoke — actually undergoing such a good and believable character evolution from such a shitty, entirely unlikeable starting point (again, in a horror game, no less). The fucking Jigsaw killer couldn’t even get that kind of growth out his victims lmao.
I think my biggest complaint about the game, though, was the writers falling into the trap of making the love triangle into a defining personality trait for Rachel/Eric/Nick. It looks really… half-assed, especially when you compare it to Jason and Salim’s writing. I feel like you could have been hinting at it only to reveal if later in the game as an attempt to throw a wrench in that whole ‘enemy of my enemy’ theme and spent more time developing them as individual characters*.
I said this a while back, but if they kept this up, then I’d totally be down if they ever decided to move away from horror with this type of game too.
Idk. I’m rambling lol. Sorry. But yeah. For the most part, very surprised and impressed by this one.
*As an example of what I mean: Eric has the opportunity to actually fuck over Nick at the end of the game, seemingly fuck over Rachel by cutting the rope, and has more potential deaths than any other character, so you could have had like… idk… Eric’s prosthesis (which seemed weirdly played up to amount to as little as it actually did) come into play. Maybe you could have given him the prosthesis as an out against Clarice or something (since that’s an instakill on him), but in the process it gets fucked and he’d have to potentially rely on Nick/Rachel at some crucial moment at the end of the game or something. But if he’s burned his bridges with one or both of them, then he’s totally fucked.

part one part three
Tumblr media
You’d spent a couple of hours in the café with Taehyung. Jimin popped over every now and then to talk with his best friend and to make sure you had everything you needed while there.
When you left, Jimin wrapped his arms around you as he bid his farewell, “It was lovely to meet you Y/N! Please, don’t be a stranger!” You simply nodded your head as you pulled away from the hug. You grinned back at him as he moved to Taehyung. You opened the door, carefully stepping outside to leave the boys with some privacy.
Once the door shut Jimin’s smile beamed, “so she’s the girl you’re always talking about, Flower? Right?”
“Yeah she is, thanks for that though man but, I’ve gotta go. I’ll see you later?”
Taehyung smiled as he made his way towards you, you looked up and he swore, he saw a hint of nervousness in your eyes, probably because it’s dark, he thought to himself. “Come on then, let’s get you home.” He held out his hand, you were quick to grab a hold of it. Taehyung intertwined your fingers as he tugged you back across the road, “it’ll take about twenty minutes, you gonna be alright to walk?” he glanced down to you.
Your heart warmed at the way his eyes smiled with him, “I’ll be fine, thank you.” He seemed happy enough with your answer as you fell into a steady rhythm. You felt a little conflicted, you may not know Taehyung well but he had an energy about him that made you wanna spill every secret you knew, you’d shared pointless stories while you were at the café, having learnt Taehyung was a family oriented person, he loved art and he was passionate about little subjects other people would deem small. Yet he had a warmth that you’d not seen in anyone else.
Fuck it, you thought, he’s shown nothing but kindness, you may aswell open upto him… atleast.
“I was in an abusive relationship.” Taehyung felt himself smirk but quickly wiped it from his face, he arched an eyebrow as he looked down to you, “it was my first too. It left me, fucked up, in a way. Not that I wasn’t already fucked up.” Progress. He squeezed your hand in reassurance, go on… “I’ve always been insecure and uh, uncomfortable with the way I look. After that disaster of a relationship, it left me worse for wear.” you kept your eyes on the road, you didn’t want to see the judgement on his face yet it didn’t stop you from carrying on, “I never told my friends or family about it. None of them knew I was struggling before it anyway so I’ve been letting it tear me apart.”
“Why tell me then doll?”
You risked a glance at his face. There were no traces of judgement or pity. Swallowing down your nerves, you added softly, “I had to tell someone. Even if that someone is a random person— who showed me kindness when I needed it.”
Taehyung felt his heart clench, she’s already trusting me… this was easier than I thought. “Don’t feel like you need to tell me anything baby,” I already know it all.
You felt your cheeks burn from the pet name, how could something so simple, affect you this much? God, talk about a schoolgirl crush. “That’s the thing, I don’t feel like I need to. I just, I want to.”
Taehyung presented you with his boxy grin, “Then you can tell me anything you want, whether it's big or small.”
“Thank you Taehyung.” It was like the sun had shone down on you, the simplest gesture meant the world. Here you had a person willing to talk to you about your darkest secrets. A person willing to listen. Someone who had no ties to your family, which made it easier for the words to flow from you, “It’s like, I was this happy, care-free kid. I smiled without forcing it and when I laughed… I felt free. I didn’t feel like I was losing my breath. Not like I do now, everytime I do so much as breathe, it's like these roots have twisted around my lungs and everytime a breath escapes, they crush them tighter. It’s like a reminder. You’re never fully alive. You’re never fully happy. Pain overrides any other emotion. I’ve learned that, after all those years. I used to think, I’d never accept it.” A solemn silence fell over you. The roots squeezed your lungs even tighter as you whispered, “I’m scared of living.”
“Flower, some people are anchored to this world by their feet, others by their fears. You don’t have to voice it, I know you’re scared. You have your fears. Your demons. The thing you were doing at the cafe; is destructive. Anything that harms you, is destructive. Fuck, it may only be something as simple as picking your skin but that can lead into bigger things.”
It already has.
“Taehyung, I know that. I knew when it started but it helps, it lessens my anxiety. You’re the only one to have picked up on it. My friends… they don’t notice. If they do, they don’t mention it.”
Taehyung scoffed, “You really think anyone on this planet is your friend?”
Your mouth was sewn shut. You didn’t want to admit it but, there was some truth to his words.
You walked home in silence.
Tumblr media
That night haunted you. It forced its way into your dreams. It clouded your thoughts when Yoongi and Hoseok were with you. When you’d spent time together, you were vacant. A soulless body. It was like a poison had found its way into your brain, second guessing relationships and people’s motives.
‘You really think anyone on this planet is your friend?’
Why were you letting it get in your head so much? You knew your friends. They were the only ones you felt safe with. They were your friends for a reason, they supported you (albeit sometimes they had a sense of… tough love) but they always had your back.
You didn’t mention Taehyung to Yoongi or Hoseok. You felt as though that was something that should be kept between you and him. Plus, the duo would’ve felt betrayed and upset by the fact you had wandered into foreign territory alone and found company in a complete stranger-- especially after they’d warned you about the whole Jigsaw shit.
To save the arguments, you went about your life as usual. You helped out your Mum with the flower shop, the array of flowers made you realise how the simplest things were beautiful. That of course, didn’t include yourself. Rancid thoughts clouded what was once, a tranquil space. Those god forsaken roots hadn’t lessened. Breathing was still difficult— as was pretending that you were absolutely fine.
You avoided mirrors, a quick glance could wreck your entire mood. You hated people taking photos of you, it made you scrutinise every single thing.
My nose is too big.
My chin is too round.
My face just shouts ugly.
My legs are disgusting.
My stomach is embarrassing.
My boobs are weird.
Not to say, you didn’t have these thoughts on the regular. However, the more you eluded your appearance, the voices lessened. You could ignore the way you looked, forget it completely. Often convinced yourself you were a plain person. The stereotypical norm: someone that no one would look twice at. It helped you get on with everyday tasks, it helped you ease the anxiety.
After all, every flower must grow through dirt.
But how would you react? If you knew, he had all the pictures of you?
Tumblr media
Tuesdays you worked at your Dad’s garage. You didn’t know much about cars but you enjoyed his company. As well as spending time with Hobi and Yoongi. You often found yourself pranking the former with Yoongi, little jokes that luckily, didn’t piss Hobi off too much.
Today though, you were late. You’d had to spend more time trying to find the more appropriate clothing… you didn’t want people to see the slashed lines of red that littered your body.
After you messily threw an outfit together, you made your way down to the garage. You found your eyes trained on the silver Nissan Skyline, mouth agape as you collided into something.
You felt hands grab your shoulders, “Watch where you’re going,” Yoongi brought his hands to ruffle your hair, “gotta be careful while we’ve got that here kidda. That fuckers expensive.” He released a chuckle as you rolled your eyes, softly elbowing him out the way.
Your dad was under the bonnet, a box of tools were scattered around his feet. Organised mess, your Dad was infamous for it.
“Sorry I’m late Pops, what do you want me to do?”
Not even a second later, your Dad turned to face you, “Ah darling, not a lot while we’re working on this. Can you go make us some drinks?”
“Yeah course, I won’t be too long!”
You passed Hoseok on your way to the little kitchen situated at the back, he sent you a wink as he shouted across, “Coffee for me kidda!”
Three cups were spread in front of you. Americano for Yoongi, Coffee for Hobi and Cappuchino for Pops. Just as you were about to shout the guys, a presence had situated itself comfortably behind you. Before you had time to turn around, a deep baritone voice addressed you, “You not gonna ask me if I want a cup baby?”
You felt yourself still. You knew that voice. The voice that was haunting your dreams, even your wake.
You really think anyone on this planet is your friend?
Taehyung watched the way your body tensed, your shoulders stiffened, your breathing altered. Hm, she’s nervous. How cute.
“What are you doing here?” the words passed your lips, delivered as though they were encased in thorns.
A deep chuckle filled the room, “What do you think I’m doing here?” Taehyung inched closer, the atmosphere was almost palpable. You felt the way his chest brushed against your back, a sudden chill shot through you as he brought his hand up— which grazed against your skin whilst he moved your hair from your neck. His eyes turned hungry at the sight of your goosebumps. Your heart raced when he brought his head lower, lips next to your ear, “You think I’m here for you baby?” I am… but you don’t need to know that just yet.
You spun around, squashed between the table and Taehyung. Heat radiated off of him, how can he be so hot? It felt like you were in a furnace (while face to face with the Devil.)
Fear stricken, you tried to fight through it. Don’t show him. Don’t let him see. With a sarcastic smile plastered on your face you retorted, “Of course you are Taehyung. You tracked me down using the information I gave you and figured out which Garage is ours.”
The sarcasm was practically dripping from your tone like venom. Taehyung felt himself stifle a laugh.
You just didn’t know. In all fairness, you didn’t know anything. How would you know that Taehyung had done exactly that, except he’d done it months prior.
He lowered his head to yours, your hands raised to push him away but Taehyung wrapped his fingers around each wrist and tugged them to lay between you before you even had the chance to nudge him. You felt like you were stuck in a Venus fly trap.
“I’m not some type of sicko, doll.”
You were just a naive, misunderstood, little girl.
“I’m getting my car fixed. Your dad’s working on it right now.”
Your body visibly relaxed, releasing a breath you didn’t know you were holding. “Oh, the Skyline? Wait, you have a car and made us walk back to mine the other week?”
“I didn’t make you walk for the fun of it baby, my car is literally in the shop so obviously it was broken.”
Only, the car was perfectly fine when you met him those weeks ago. He had made the pair of you walk so he’d have more of a chance to speak to you and to touch you. The only way he could follow you around without being suspicious, especially at your dads work, was to have a somewhat reasonable excuse (which resulted in him messing with the engine). He knew although you’d shied away from him that night, he could easily win you back around.
“Oh shit, I’m sorry Taehyung. I’m also uh, sorry about how that night ended.”
“Don’t sweat it, I know what I said came off a little... weird but I didn’t mean any harm.”
With an angelic smile on your face in return, Taehyung knew that soon, that smile would morph into a grateful one. After all, he was going to help you.
Until a person is faced with death, it’s impossible to tell whether they have what it takes to survive.
Live or Die.
Your choice.
Tumblr media
He had first seen you out and about last year. However, he had first heard of you when the guys working for him had slammed a file onto his desk, Subject #13 was scrawled on the top. Filled to the brim with pictures of you and everything about your life down to the littlest detail.

Saw’s Adam Faulkner-Stanheight and Queercoding
In today’s day and age, I believe any relatively media-literate person would be able to tell you what “queercoding” is in the lamest of terms.
It’s the flamboyant male sidekick in Disney movies who is comically gender non-conforming and is played for laughs. It’s the punky girl in sitcoms who seems to despise all men and is mean to everybody she encounters, while still having a heart of gold she extends to her female friends. That's, no offense to media critics who spent years unpacking the never ending layers of undeniable queerness in these characters, baby’s first queercoding. For the context of this essay, let’s call this extremely obvious type of coding “Cishet Queercoding” - coding largely done by cishet people, easily recognizable by cishet people. What I want to unpack in this essay is “Queer queercoding”.
The most obvious example that comes to mind and got plenty of media attention recently is, of course, Supernatural. You’ve got to hear me out here. In its grueling 15 season run, a hodgepodge of people of different ideas and ideas for the show worked on Supernatural, but fundamentally it was a show conceived by cis straight men for cis straight men. This resulted in its two leads, Sam and Dean Winchesters, being comically masculine. Dean’s demonstration of masculinity (enjoying rock’n’roll, women, cars and alcohol, preferably at the same time) is so comical every queer person who laid eyes on this character immediately went “Oh, okay, you’re overcompensating”, while the writers of the show simply tried to fulfill their ultimate cishet dude fantasy. No one is this macho all the time, except if you are performing cishet masculinity.
Hence by my definition, “queer queercoding” isn’t necessarily LGBT characters by LGBT folks for LGBT folks, but rather coding a character as queer (accidentally or not) in such a way it’s painfully familiar for LGBT people but largely goes over the head of cishet folks. So where does Saw fit into all this?
Saw’s whole premise is a complicated, morally gray mix of one man both exacting revenge on people who wronged him and teaching them to appreciate the sanctity of life. While the main antagonist, Jigsaw, isn’t afraid of collateral damage, his main targets are people who somehow ruined his life and don’t appreciate their own. This is why Dr. Lawrence Gordon finds himself in the trap - for cheating on his wife and cold heartedly breaking the news of untreatable cancer to Jigsaw. His companion in the trap though - a downtrodden twenty-something photographer Adam Faulkner-Stanheight - seems to only be there as an accessory to Gordon’s torture. He doesn’t have any immediate connection to Jigsaw and his only connection to Gordon is that he was hired to spy and photograph his activities. Gordon’s condition to escape the trap is that he must kill Adam. Adam doesn’t get a solution to escape.
Adam’s only function in the film is seemingly to be an audience self-insert and then to suffer. The audience for gory, tacky horror flicks is obviously much closer to Adam’s character than to Gordon’s thus while we can sympathize with the latter’s struggle, the former’s is much more visceral. Adam’s only crime seems to be taking a job to earn some money and not being satisfied with a life that’s frankly hard to be satisfied with (In his own words - “I remember going to sleep in my shithole apartment and then waking up in a literal shithole”). And he dies in the end - abandoned, on the edge of escape, not knowing what he did to deserve this fate - while his fellow prisoner, as we later find out, becomes Jigsaw’s apprentice and goes on to torture other people.
Cool, so I’ve explained why Saw is scary beyond a guy cutting his foot off, why is Adam queer again? Well, besides his artistic career, general cynicism about life, comically crippling addiction to nicotine (queer existence and addiction to substances is a well-documented problem in real life, a coping method for living in an unaccepting society) and a cut dialogue line revealing he doesn’t speak to his parents (I don’t think I need to explain how many queer children were disowned by their caretakers), being put in a narrative only to suffer, die and be outlived by some cishet douchebag is possibly the oldest queer trope in cinema. Leaning into symbolism even more, Adam was cunning and on-guard the whole movie, obviously recognizing the only other person in the trap with him is just as likely to be a foe as an ally, but by the end he put his life entirely in Gordon’s hands. He shot Adam to escape and Adam still helped him, believing he will return with help. To make it painfully obvious, Adam was punished for putting his trust in another man. Adam Faulkner-Stanheight, bleeding out from a bullet wound inflicted by Gordon, still embraced him and begged him not to leave.
I don’t think it was Leigh Whanell’s, screenwriter and Adam’s actor’s, intention to make a veiled kill-your-gays metaphor. On the contrary, I think that the ephemeral queerness of suffering elevated this movie far beyond its successors. It becomes a commentary not only on needless violence, sanctity of life, but on how queer people suffer both in media and in real life. Perhaps by not considering this perspective, Saw was able to look queer pain in the eye and not flinch.

Final Saw Saturday for new movies (until of course Saw XI comes out.) Spiral and Saw X were what we watched last night:
I can definitely see why Spiral rubbed people the wrong way and a lot of people hate it. I can also see why they had already taken a preemptive measure of marking it as separate from the other movies by naming it “Spiral: From the Book of Saw” lmao they wanted to signal that this was not your typical Saw film
It was so hard to try and separate Chris Rock from the character he was playing in Spiral. Every time he would talk I just kept hearing the voice over for everybody hates Chris or Marty from Madagascar. Not the fault of the movie, just that Chris Rock is so Chris Rock I couldn’t turn my brain off for it
The new Jigsaw voice modulation made me laugh so hard I could not take it seriously. Like obviously if I was actually in a trap I’d be scared to death hearing it but within the movie? My friend and I joked it was like the killer had his notecards for his presentation in front of class and he was really nervous and reading through them for the first time
One of the big things to this movie’s detriment is that we see the traps through flashbacks, meaning we only get to see the traps after the victims are already dead (generally) which sucks because a lot of the suspense comes from not knowing if someone will make it out or not. And even in those “unwinnable” scenarios sometimes characters still get smart and figure out a way out. We didn’t really get that in this one because of how they were brought up in the narrative
Not much to say about the actual traps themselves. None of them super stood out to me for this run
William Schenk was the most enjoyable part of this movie. His character was so silly before the reveal (even if I was able to figure it out well ahead of time). Speaking of which…
William as the killer was a good fun new angle to bring to a Jigsaw killer! If only they had actually stuck the execution!!
Like, it might be a little trite in other media, but the idea of an apprentice (though he’s not really an apprentice, just a copycat) whose traps don’t focus so much on the actual victims in them, but those who will witness the aftermath could have been a good concept. Scaring cops straight to lower corruption within the police force by essentially hanging the threat of Saw traps over them is a stellar idea and actually I’m surprised the mainline movies didn’t really discuss the idea of people maybe trying to live more “pious”/“fulfilling” lives lest they be put into traps themselves once word of what Jigsaw’s motives were got out
(Unrelated side note but I just got the idea of someone like that, someone absolutely terrified of being put into a trap and as such altering their entire life to avoid it, being put into a trap for that very reason since it’s making their life miserable. That would be great epic bad luck)
I also like that there was a level of personal obsession there, with Schenk feeling this twisted sense of loyalty to Zeke for being the “one good cop” who actually stuck his neck out in order to bring his father’s killer to justice. But idk what happened it just did not work and that’s so disappointing. Maybe if we had gotten more time on their relationship?
But also with the above point it’s not like Zeke is a particularly good cop. That one drug dealer breaks his leg and they brutalize him to interrogate him? And then the two of them just leave him? I was hoping that was gonna come back up at the end like “I looked up to you but then I realized you’re no better than all of them” and really Schenk’s whole thing in the warehouse at the end has been masterminded to kill Zeke as well but alas. Was not in the cards
I wanted to root for this movie, knowing it got shit from the fandom but unfortunately I cannot. At least Saw 3D had characters I liked even if they were doing dumb stuff for the plot lol
Saw X though? Saw X was VERY Good. Holy shit I’m so glad to be back to a good movie and that our Saw watching mission was able to end on a high note
John Kramer getting scammed was so fucking funny for no reason. Like he might be able to evade police, analyze the actions of his victims, and build super complex traps but he’s still susceptible to being swindled out of his money for snake oil
I’m surprised these people didn’t actually cut into him. I know they would never actually do brain surgery, but like at least make an incision or something guys!
The idea of Amanda having to bring Billy with her on her way to Mexico is so funny to me especially because he’s so big this movie. Like, having to check his trike at the airport and then stuffing Billy in her backpack to be her carry on? I know the TSA agents were fucking confused when they saw that on the detector
The bone marrow trap and brain surgery traps? Valentina and Mateo were stronger than me for real. The fact that they legitimately got close to winning those is insane to me because if I were them I’m just fucking dying
(My friend brought up the idea of John having to call Lawrence to ask just how survivable the brain surgery trap is and Lawrence basically being like “well TECHNICALLY you could take out a portion of your brain and survive HOWEVER-“ and then John just hanging up with him after he got the confirmation someone can live without all their brain. And that’s canon to me now)
Gabriela!!! I loved how this film gave us a character to be Amanda’s parallel, basically she sees herself before John in this woman and she wants to help Gabriela the same way she believes John helped her. And you can also see the cracks in her faith already here with her trying to take the blame off Gabriela and put it on the drugs while John reminds her that everyone has a choice which AHHHHHH so glad we got to see more of this war within Amanda explored
Along with that FUCK Cecilia holy shit. Not only killed Gabriela after she survived her trap, but then also got a little kid involved fully intended to kill him? I had just thought she was a pragmatist, I didn’t expect her to be so evil
Carlos was literally too good and innocent. The fact that John was ready to sacrifice himself completely, but he decided to take some of the blood boarding on himself was devastating. I’m glad he lived
I had predicted John and Amanda were planning on being put in the trap together the whole time, but the ending still pulled off the reveal in a satisfying and fun way! Very much enjoyed that
Obligatory “hell yeah!” For us getting to see Hoffman at the end credits scene. I was already so happy just getting to hear John call him up to talk with him, but the line “Epic bad luck” was extremely funny I loved it (as shown by my reference of it already above)
It’s definitely weird seeing all the actors older and knowing that this movie takes place between 1 and 2, like I actively had to remind myself that Amanda’s supposed to be in her 30s (and that horrible wig did nobody any favors lol) but also I’m kinda glad they didn’t do any deaging. It fits into the low budget fun of the saw movies, just the way I like it
So excited for Saw XI! Definitely plan on seeing it in theaters, hopefully opening weekend, and I’m gonna be a part of the hype train up until it’s release!
Final Saw movie ranking! (Subject to change as my whims take me of course)
Saw
Saw V
Saw VI
Saw X (this and 6 are basically tied though)
Saw II
Saw IV (this and 2 are also basically tied though and flip flop a lot)
Jigsaw
Saw III
Saw VII
Spiral

Whatever is out there it's,  coming for me     -Not Him
This is the third part in the not him series although it does not matter the order you read them. in this specific story it will be heavily implied that is going it unalive himself. Although he does not successfully off himself, he does die.  If you decide to read this, please let me know what you think and if there are any errors. If you wish to read the rest of this series, go to the “that is not Danny Fenton” tag.
Danny went over a mental check list in his head before he left the house this morning. The sun still wasn’t up by the time he walked out the door, he had written a goodbye note for his and left it on her dresser. He knew better than to leave it on the kitchen countertop, his parents wouldn’t notice it, throw it away or even accidentally incinerate it. If that happened his sister would be consumed with worry over the thought of him being kidnapped, it was her senior year, and the third quarter has just started, and she was already taking her college entrance exams.
On the note to Jazz he had written down than he needed some time alone and some fresh air to clear his head. He knew Jazz was too smart for that, but it didn’t matter, and that’s what he wrote it for.
The only other goodbyes he had made were to a few online friends, ones that he would play online games like Doom with. He didn’t actually say goodbye, in his bio of his social media accounts his birth year, the current year and the phrase “thank you walking with me to the end, but you can’t delay the inevitable.”
He hopes that it was vague enough that they would that he had a terminal illness or something. But other than them and his sister, nobody else would actually miss him.
A gradually growing pain on his fingertip, noes and cheeks yanked him out of a dissociative state. Danny stopped walking and felt his leg muscles throb in exhaustion, he glanced around at his surroundings.                                              He was still in the forest, but it was much lighter out. He looked up towards the sky and saw that the sun was almost directly overhead.                                      Jez he must have been walking for a while.
He brought his hands up to his mouth to blow hot air over them, it wasn’t cold enough to see his breath, but the air still had a nip to it. It was a good thing that he was not planning on returning home because he was lost as fuck, and he didn’t have his phone to pull up a map as he destroyed it a week and a half ago.
Someone had found his phone number and passed it around, people wouldn’t stop harassing him and sending him all kinds of threats, so finally he smashed it agents a tree.
He walked a little further into the woods scanning the trees for a low hanging branch that would hold his weight. Once he found a tree that suited his needs, he tossed backpack to the ground against a tree and fell to his knees next to it.
Ignoring the new source of pain shooting up his already sore legs he unzipped his backpack and pulled out a pre-tied noose. He had had to look up how to tie it at home. Danny walked slowly over to the tree, every thing he did was to loud for comfort.  His footsteps echoed on the grass, him zipping up his backpack, even the creaking sound that came from the rope as he tossed it over the branch and tide it to the tree, it all cut straight through the silent forest.
A violent shiver shot up his spine as the weight of the silent forest pressed down on him, a sensation of being watched began to grow in his chest. But all at once the fear in his veins fled his body as he heard a voice call out.
“Hello”
It was just another person, probably someone in his search party. Although he was in the middle of nowhere miles away from town, so he was surprised that they got out here this fast.
“Help me!”       the voice called out again, this time it had a sense of urgency. This person was definitely not part of a search team, so Danny decided to call out to them                “Hey I am over, but I am just as lost as you are buddy.”                     If not more so, he added on silently to the end.
In the back of his mind, he thought that maybe whoever was calling out to him was some form of higher being that came to tell him not to give up and that things will get better. But even if they were, he wouldn’t listen.
A moment passed before they repeated themselves, the voice sounded exactly the same, almost as if it were a recording. But this time it sounded a little further away. Danny scoffed, if this person couldn't figure out how to follow the sound of a voice, then he would not help them, he couldn't help them anyways if they were lost, he had no idea where what he was either. But it didn't really matter for him as he was not planning on returning home.
“Hi there”    The voice called out to him again this time it sounded as if the person we're way off in the distance, but also at the same time directly behind him. He whipped around to see a man?
He stood on his tip toes barefooted in the middle of the forest, his feet were much longer than they should be. His fingers were much too long, and he had an overall lankiness to him. Honestly, he looked like a piece of bad taxidermy.
“Umm” Danny took a step back and looked up at the man, if he had to guess he would say that he was about 7 ft tall.                                                                     A sense of dread overtook Danny as the mans lips split into an impossibly wide grin. The parting of his lips revealed hundreds of needle like teeth. Danny gasped and began to tremble as the creature darted over to him.                           He could feel his windpipe being crushed as the thing wrapped its boney fingers around his neck, and he heard a crunching sound as it slammed him into a tree behind him.
The creatures hand left his neck and reared back, bringing down its claws down the center of his chest. Its claws had torn right through his shirt, binder, and a good centimeter of his skin. His brain had finally caught up to the situation at hand, he began to scream and sob profusely as the creature wedged its fingers into the slash mark, and then under his skin.
Danny cried out as large chunks of his skin were pulled back like someone skinning a rabbit or deer and he renewed that scream as the monster pushed its fingers into his flesh and grabbed onto his ribcage. It spread his ribcage apart like the angel trap from Jigsaw.
Danny stopped screaming as he began to convulse, sliding down the tree the pain began to fade. He looked up at the creature as it ripped his heart out and swallowed it whole, but Danny didn’t care, over the sound of it eating the flesh off his leg his eyelids grew heavy. He closed his eyes and rolled his head to his shoulder as everything went silent.
