#in the context of jjk it feels like the main character and the protagonist are not exactly the same thing #yuuji is the main character who was stripped away of all the things that made him the protagonist #and all the things that made yuuji the protagonist were later given to megumi #megumi is the “chosen one” the one in a million but all those things that normally would make the main character the protagonist #are out of megumi’s control #the story is still about yuuji #the story could only take place BECAUSE of yuuji and yuuji's CHOICES that’s why he’s the main character #yes kenjaku orchiestrated everything about yuuji's birth and role in life but yuuji is still the one who CHOSE to consume sukuna’s finger #yuuji was still the one who CHOSE to #not include himself in the binding vow sukuna made him enter #those are two pivotal points in the story and yuuji was the one who made them #yuuji may not be ”the choosen one” BUT THATS A GOOD THING #that means that even tho kenjaku orchestrated yuuji’s role in life yuuji was and still is the one in charge of his own life and story #he even decided to postpone his own execution wondering “why the heck I have to be executed”#he gets to chose what he’ll do next and NOT FATE #megumi is the one who’s “blessed” he inherited the most powerful zenin ct he’s father was the catalyst that started it all #he’s the one who was #the one in a million chance to be sukuna’s vessels #and megumi didn’t have ANY say in that #because all this time megumi didn’t get to be in charge of his own life #gege really had the fate toy with him just like reggie said to him back then #megumi gets to be the protagonist (or more like have a role of the protagonist) because he let the “fate” dictate his life for him #(unless noooowww he decides to finally take the reins of his life and save himself from his fate)#itadori yuuji #fushiguro megumi #I’m yapping I don’t even know if this makes sense I was caught in a moment skksskks

#wren rambles #greek mythology #the iliad #the odyssey #i am actually not 100% sure what stories shes in #but i got interested at her mention in the odyssey and then read her wiki page #girl lost BOTH her parents for 17 years when she was 9 #grew up probably raised mostly by Clyemnestra which. no one wants.#her parents finally came back from troy and their re-honeymoon in africa #and three years later shes send off to marry Neoptolemus #an agrragement her father made during the trojan war #(now marriage customs were different ans this arragement would have been normal.#and she doesnt seem to hate the idea [though her opinion isnt mentioned] so it could just be a normal marriage agreement #however it IS Neoptolemus. who is often portrayed as brutal and violent.#tho idk what hes like outside of war. anyway. happiness of the marruage aside #its probably a shock to be Nine Years Old and then when youre solidly in your 20s your dad comes back abd is like MARRIAGE TIME)#and THEN Orestes and Neoptolemus fight over her and she marries Orestes (her cousin. but again. ancient greece)#just. most of that generation of kids lost only their father #some perminantly #telemachus for 20 years #most for at least ten years #but Heromine lost BOTH her parents #lost the relationship with her MOTHER which the vibe i get was SUPER valuble #(if Demeter's attitude is anything to go by and the cultural vibe of mother-daughter relationship)#helen even did cite that she was a foolish creature for leaving her husband and beloved daughter #ALSO Hermione not having any full siblings means something to me #idk just. lots of respect for ppl who don't post/talk abt certain oc things due to not wanting to spoil their own stuff, however i will not be doing that. by the time any of this stuff is finished it'll probably be different anyways

#i have this thing where i simultaneously cannot ever find the words to articulate my oc stuff and the inability to shut up about it #who the fuck knows if i'll actually finish it. i mean i'd love to. i WANT to but these are (for now) passion projects and i can't devote #myself to them full time so! i'll hand over the details #nothing wrong with not wanting to spoil things either i get it. i jsut talk a lot. esp if i'm excited abt smthin #actually now that i think abt it there are some ttw things i keep close to my chest #partially for spoiler things but also the canon of the story is so wildly different from what it has been that it is the one case where i #don't want to introduce something cool and neat only to have it scrapped later bc this blog is evidence that i have done that. many times #and thinking abt storytelling the way i imagine honeybee being told is nonlinear so at times it necessitates me 'spoiling' things from #p1 and p2 for instance to explain how they got to where they are in p3 #i'm thinking a bit more and with ttw being horror i think the next time i get around to taking a solid jab at it i will actually be more #cagey about certain things. esp in regards to sanguine as a whole #but it's underbaked in the middle rn so. shrugs #i still also don't really mind spoilers in general so i don't give much of a shit abt spoiling my own stuff yknow?#good stories are good regardless of spoilers and my intention is to make good stories. not that i can be the one to judge that tho #but i like what i make and that's the really matters yeeeeeeeehaaaawwwwwww #rambles

…I’m just kidding, my roommate and I are always getting into little spats abt this and he’d SO TOTALLY BE GROUCHY ABT IT WHEN CONFRONTED.

Weird about personal space, weird about waking up together and bedtimes… it’s probs the reason he’s so tricky abt relationships in the first place bc he’s so used to being on his Own that he barely knows what you’re talking about when you bring up his lack of siblings as the reason for his prickliness.

He’s all, “I’m not this way bc of that! I’m perfectly fuckin’ normal, thank you!” as he literally assumes you’re trying to pick a fight😭… and then holds a grudge over it. “Having siblings doesn’t make you better than me!”

OR the second you say he’s just mad about something because he never had to share as a kid (canon) or was told the word “no…” and he’s just standing there breathing all heavy with his arms crossed bc he doesn’t have a valid argument to snap back with (and the face I’m imagining is so funny I wish I could draw).

It’s funny tho, when he finally accepts it and you get to see his confused, embarrassed face when he starts realizing that he’s been making dinner without asking what you want to eat, or trying to go out without telling you where. He’s so spoiled!!!

as someone who cannot deal with mobile gacha games post-2016 I AM cautiously intrigued by infinity nikki. visuals look fantastic and so cute, the platforming in the ign gameplay i saw seemed a little rough but as long as its not too hard i'll be fine (<- said as a person who is shockingly bad at 3d platformers) but i am hopeful. if its a fun game to play i'll be really excited, as someone who's only played nikki up2u ive always been curious about how that normal girl dressup game turned into like. nikkis hellscape or whatever ive heard about it. nikkis torture dimension. nikkis purgatorial plain of endless suffering. thats my understanding of the franchise at least.

#up2u was the only one i could handle orz also the only one out at the time LOL but i did try the others at later points #i dropped off pretty quick tho because UNFORTUNATELY like i said i really really cannot deal with gacha game pacing #like specifically post 2016 ish it got really bad because games got more complicated. so the opening tutorial would be like hours long #and it would always piss me off. and by the time i got to the actual game i was too burnt out to read the stories #plus a big mobage design philosophy rn is like. grind for a reward. but that doesnt work on me if i dont like the grind #i love grindy games. i love number go up. i love repetitive tasks. but the focus has to be the grind #the grind cant be designed like an obstacle. which is why i didnt really like sif2 despite my adoration for sif1 LOL #rest in pieces............... its about the grind being the fun part in the mechanics. if the fun part is just the gacha and story well #i'd really rather them just be visual novels orz my mobile game curse.........#anyway. i hope its good!! and i hope its like a normal priced game rather than f2p for my sake <3

Now that the new mini arc is finally starting Imma make a couple predictions. Angelina is now a bizarre doll and ✨coincidentally✨at the hotel. Grelle is also there. For drama's sake you know how it goes.

readers were upset about the prime x-ray spoiling show-onlys by naming rand's mom tigraine in s1, but counterpoint: the show actually should explain rand's full heritage as quickly as possible because i cannot have show-onlys refusing to get invested in randlayne because they think a secret-sibling shoe is going to drop

#i've watched 3 show-only trailer reactions and 2 of them thought elayne might be a secret relative of rand's 😭😭#the show needs to clarify that asap!!#maybe in s3 the aiel & moiraine combined will be able to give rand tigraine's full identity #and rand sidles up to moiraine later like 'hey sooooo am i related to that girl elayne from falme?'#and she says no and he's like 'PHEW! not sure why i care tho ahaha'#and then we are in the clear for s4 to be the season of randlayne #rand al'thor #elayne trakand #randlayne #wot #wot book spoilers #you know now that i think about it i do think it would be better to give the full Rand Bio Family deets in one go #rather than parceling it out over multiple seasons #bc it just doesn't MATTER that his mom is tigraine mantear (besides that it makes him galad's brother)#so no point holding it back as a separate reveal. just give it to him (& us) along with the shaiel & janduin story #and it'd be perfectly logical for moiraine to be able to piece together that shaiel is tigraine if she heard the tale #plus rand learning sooner that galad is his brother would give more time for something to come of that relationship. maybe.
