i’m still pissed abt vtmb2 btw. how do you go from complete player freedom in character customization to limiting creativity by locking your character to an already established backstory & minimum of 300 yrs of history. it’s insulting.

>CONTENT LOADING....
hi hi hello! my name is strawberry (or strawb)! (i also use the name roz sometimes!) im queer, trans, 19, and neurodivergent, and this where i scream about robots and gay little nintendo characters. i use he/him, it/its, ze/zem/zeir/zemself, and co/code/codes/codeself pronouns! itd be so so sooo cool if you could please interchange these. thanks!
i dont know what my gender is and honestly i dont care (and neither should u)! just dont call me 'she' please! if i had to label it id say my gender is whatever the hell nintendo was doing with all those see-through consoles in the 2000s. look at these sexy sexy boys
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
my art tag is #strawberryscribbles, my tag for cool art made by friends or made for me is #talented ppl tag, and thats about all i consistently tag anymore (aside from content warnings. if you need something content warned, lmk!). my art blog is @strawb-artfolder and my oc blog is @cultivatingyourfuture (though that project is on an indefinite hiatus due to signifigant rewrites, lol). im not great at art but i like growing and improving and showing you all that process, so im going to keep posting it anyhow! cringe culture is dead and its decomposing slowly in my backyard.
heres some things about me!!
my main interests are computers, old electronics, adventure time, portal 2, and nintendo (particularly mario, splatoon, and the legend of zelda!). i also reblog half life, tf2, and mlp stuff from time to time. i am, in fact, critical of all of my media interests. fuck nintendos business practices and fuck the way they fetishize arabic cultures 👎👎👎
send me asks!!!! about whatever!!!! it makes my day every time!!!!!
im not a linked universe fan or a linkverse fan in general. i might engage with that content because i like the designs and want to support artists but dont ask me about it i dont go there lmao (bonus links fucks hard though i will say that)
i dont tag spoilers. sorry! youre free to unfollow or block me at any time :)
wanna know what music ive been listening to? heres my main playlist! maybe youll find something new!!! (and if you shoot me an ask saying u found a new song u like bc of me.... tell me! itll make my day!)
ive had people ask me a couple of times, so let me go ahead and say-- i like to refer to characters i have specific pronoun headcanons for WITH those pronouns! i usually garner confusion about this when i talk about oot zelda (he/she), botw link (she/he/they), and oot link (she/her). theres not really a reason, i just like to! (when i talk to people about their specific interpretations, i use whatever hcs theyve assigned them instead). if you wanna know how i hc any other characters, 🔫 me an ask!
im not going to sift through every blog that interacts with me or apply widely misused terminology to give an idea of what i do or dont want in my circle. im just going to say these things outright. i believe in radical queer acceptance (yes, even for whatever "weird" identity youre about to pull out as a gotcha), all transgender people and asexuals and aromantics and xenogenders and neopronouns are all valid, otherkin/therians are cool as hell, objectums are my friends, i want all pedophiles to die by my hand, youre weird as shit if you romanticize incest or pedophilia in any context, and i believe in reclaiming words like queer, fag, dyke, and tranny, which i will not content warn for. ok cool 👍
im a stupid broke college student and i can barely afford to feed myself most days so if you wanna help out heres my CA.

SO-18: Memory Bomb!
If there's a lot of engagement on this, this post is liable to get real long, beware before you expand.
No art, but hopefully my eyes will improve enough to add some later!
Welcome to the Engagement Lounge, for Peanut Butter Bubblegum (SO-18) an instalment! Short comments can go in the replies, but there's a 475 character limit. Longer ones will need a reblog. Remember to @asksoldieron if you're reblogging someone else's reblog, so I can see it too!
There! They got him! Well, sorta. That's definitely not Erik but he's in there somewhere. They'll get him out! Eventually!
I had such a cool idea for a musical comic but I can't do it. You'll have to read and imagine David and Hyacinth having it out, while what he is now is slowly subsumed by what he once was... Or while an imposter who made a very bad decision becomes permanently trapped in a web of his own lies. Maybe both at once!
*sigh* I'm struggling, but I don't get real feedback from the eye doctor. It's like they don't think I can't handle any negativity, so everything is all smiles and "you're doing great!" while I'm dealing with shit they should've sat me down and told me about before I even had the damn surgery.
You see, I had the impression the surgery was the best option for not losing any of the improvement I spent all last year making myself sick to gain. Heh. Maybe it was, but I've still lost ground and I'll need to put in even more work to get it back. I have a different issue now: stamina. My eyes get tired of focusing on detail, near and far, and in certain situations they'll just stop. I'll be straining as hard as I can and I won't be able to tell you if that's a D, C, O or G. It won't shift in and out of focus like I might be able to get it eventually, it'll just be a static blur until I rest my eyes and come back to it. (Kinda think the doctor thought I was faking or playing it up, since I could read letters the first time she asked me to, and then I couldn't. But the tech just listened to me describe what was happening and said, "Oh, yeah. Your eyes are just tired. Take a break.")
I don't have much trouble reading - as long as it's black and white or close to that. Much like Erik, I can get it from context. I've always read the shape of the word, because my damn eyes never worked like they're supposed to. But art is not like that. Hell, even reading a comic is harder for me right now.
I'm getting my Xmas computer soon. It has a bigger screen than my tablet, and I should be able to draw on it. I might not get so tired so fast with a bigger screen, but I won't know until I try. I found a good enough refurbished deal that I can afford a pen display with an even bigger screen, if it comes to that, but I'll have to give myself some time to strengthen my eyes in any case.
I thought I was just going to heal from this - it would only be a matter of time until the wound closed and my corneas cleared up - I certainly got that impression at the start. But now they say I'm not going to get better without more work. I'm stuck doing pretty much the same exercises, only now they're hard in a different way. The dry-eye does seem to be improving, but there's no guarantee it will keep doing that. I have nearly a year to wait for the dryness and light tolerance to stabilize, those things are the slowest to heal. Well, they would be the slowest, if I didn't have this stupid vision dysfunction. I have no idea how long that's going to take to adapt.
Anyway, this is all too many words. I'm trying to explain why I won't be able to come back with more story after a two week break, even though I have the next six-pack almost ready to go. I can write. I can reorganize the site (and I need to do that, the theme and the global colours are just stupid, and all my pattern blocks are malfunctioning). I can open a new bank account and put together a Ko-Fi page (after Patreon gets rid of my data - they only have a couple more days to do that within their 30-day limit!!). I can't illustrate. Nobody's going to stop scrolling and look at this shit in their feed if there's no images, and I'm not resorting to stock photos or AI.
I want to get to the point where I can spam my followers with something I'm proud of that looks nice, and send them to a site that I'm also proud of and which looks nice. I want more readers, but I don't feel right asking for them when everything's falling apart, including me.
So, I'll be here, but there won't be more story for a while. At least give me until the 20th, that'll be three months out from the surgery and I should be fairly well healed by then. It's just that I have this stamina issue nobody warned me about and no timeline for that. Almost like it doesn't matter. Hey, you can see without glasses! 20/20! Like we promised! Does it really matter if it expires without warning? It works when you read off the chart the first time and that's all you need, right?
No. I told you people I was an artist. You don't seem to be reviewing my chart and god alone knows if you even wrote it down, but you did ask me and I told you. This is not enough.
We'll see what the next few weeks will do for me. I hope like hell I'll be back soon with another six - words AND pictures.

[ jealousy ]
the bright light shone into you dark room , the light humming emitting off of the screen that sat on your desk . you blinked , rubbing your face as you sighed , typing something on your keyboard , watching the keys light up as you typed .
you thought the setting was pretty cool for your keyboard , and so you ' ve kept it set to the rainbow setting . nevermind that , you smiled to yourself as you opened up your favorite game , that lovely rpg game , OFF .
you closed your eyes , waiting to get transported into the game , just like always . you didn ' t mind , really , you liked the idea of being inside your favorite video game , being around your favorite game characters - all of the whole nine yards .
you cracked open your eyes as you didn ' t feel the usual cold feeling you felt whenever you were practically being sucked into your screen .
" wha . . - ? "
you peered around , seeing that you were still in your bedroom . " . . odd . . - " you muttered , looking over towards your screen , only to find it . . blank ?
" the hell ? " you whispered , your brows furrowing as you pressed on the arrow keys , only to see nothig move . well , no shit - the batter isn ' t even on the screen .
" what the fuck - ? ? " you huff , scowling as you scooted back , your gaming chair ' s wheels squeaking slightly as you stood up , shutting your computer off .
" maybe it ' s just some stupid glitch , or maybe i just need sleep - " you tell yourself , opening your door to go downstairs for a snack or two .
the air conditioner was set on 68 , so it was a bit chilly in your home . you grumbled quietly , rubbing your arms as you should have put on a sweater or somethin ' . .
you flipped the light on to your kitchen , gazing around before shuffling over towards the cabinet , grasping one of the various cups and placing it underneath the faucet .
why am i explaining how you get yourself a glass of water ?
anyways .
you take a sip , now infront of your pantry , deciphering whether or not you ' d want to take a cookie or a bag of chips to your room . or neither , and maybe just pick some other snack to eat .
you shake your head , sighing heavily as you grabbed a snack , shutting the pantry door as you turned on your heel .
" ah , play - " " WHAT THE FUC - "
you threw whatever snack you had spent more than enough time to choose , and began stepping back , in fear , or just because you wanted another snack , you couldn ' t tell .
" p - player it ' s me - b - stop throwing things - ! "
" DON ' T TELL ME WHAT TO DO ! I DON ' T EVEN KNOW YOU - ! " you screeched in retaliation , brows furrowed , body tense as you continued throwing whatever you could grab in your pantry at the mysterious figure .
" what a good situation you ' ve put yourself in , dearest batter . " a mysterious voice coo ' ed -
wait -
that mysterious voice sounds oddly familiar -
you glance around , spotting a tall figure , or - err - two , tall figures - and a cat ?
" what the fuck ? "
" language , please . . - "
you raise a brow . only one person you know would tell you to watch your language - " batter ? "
" finally - " the male breathed , a hand on his jaw as he rubbed the spot where you threw a uh . . a can of . . beans ?
" how the hell are you here ? " you ask , eyes wide as you stared at the tall being in front of you .
" ahem , "
" oh . hi . . judge . . "
" ha ha , can ' t forget about me , can you , dearest player ? "
" zacharieeeee - hey . . ha ha . . ha - "
" so , you all got transported into my world ? " you question , now sitting on the couch , smushed between the batter , as well as zacharie , the judge lying still on your lap .
" indeed , it seems so . " the judge purred out , his freakishly large grin widening , some how . . -
" we have no clue how we got here , or if we ' re even able to get back to our world . " zacharie said , his arm slung over the back of the couch , almost wrapping around you .
the batter seemingly noticed , and didn ' t take nicely to that . he cleared his throat , flicking zacharie ' s arm slightly , making the other male chuckle and wrap his arm around your shoulders , pulling you closer to his side .
you sat there , just chillin ' . the batter grumbled quietly , glancing the other way . " well then , guess we ' re stuck here until we find a way back to our world , yes ? " zacharie yawned out , a smug expression plastered onto his face from behind the mask he wore .
" guess so - " you hum , now laying your head on zacharie ' s lap , your lags strewn across batter ' s lap . the judge chuckled quietly before circling on your stomach , laying down .
" is this necessary ? " the batter whispered , scowling slightly as he poked your legs . " yep . " you mumble , snickering quietly . the batter shook his head , pursing his lips as he hesitantly laid his hand onto your leg , stiffly sitting there .
the judge purred contently as he stayed curled up on your stomach . you smile , closing your eyes as you felt zacharie shuffle a bit , seemingly reaching over to grab a blanket , resting the soft , yet itchy cloth onto your body , as well as a bit of the batter ' s lap .
" welp , i better enjoy this as it lasts - " you laugh quietly, snuggling into zacharie ' s abdomen , your smile widening whenever the judge curled further into you , seemingly asleep at this point .
zacharie as well , he seemed to have fell asleep as well . you guessed that being in a video game 24 / 7 really takes a toll on their bodies .
" player ? "
oop - you forgot batter was awake . . -
" yeah ? what ' s up , batter ? " you mumble , peaking open your eyes as you glanced over towards said male .
" . . nevermind . sleep well . " he says quietly , leaning back against the couch , now relaxing . hm .
you slowly sat up , making sure not to wake the judge , nor zacharie as you sat there , staring at the batter .
" what ' s wrong ? " you asked , frowning slightly . the batter shook his head , glancing away once again . " okay , i ' m not stupid - " " i never said that , you are indeed an intelligent being . "
you snort , grasping the hand that laid on your leg . " thanks , batter . but really , somethin ' s bothering you . " you say , patting his large hand with your much smaller one .
" . . batter . . are you . . jealous ? " " no . " " you are ! " " no , i am not . " " hah ! oh my gosh ! ! it ' s because of zacharie , isn ' t it ! ? " " go to sleep . "

It’s sad but true.
I’d go to hell and back if I could go there with you.
What do I do?
“Stupid For You” by Tate McRae
The main line rang out of nowhere shortly after office hours. For all I knew, anyone might’ve requested something before this weekend kicked off.
“Hello, thank you for calling Tomorrow Recruiting. My name is Dana Wright. How can I help you this evening?” From habit, I picked up that phone and cleared my throat, aiming to give another typical greeting.
“Now I don’t know about you, but if I need another job someday and a pretty girl like you still works at that front desk all the time, I’ll show up immediately.” Holder uses his famous voice during our call. I rolled my eyes while shouldering this phone.
“What do you want, Stephen? I’m actually about to clock out for the night.” I scoff, facing those double doors and noticing how sunset beamed in the sky.
“Working on this case tonight and we need details on a name. He might’ve slipped through those doors with his briefcase just to get past you in the public eye, Mama.” Regardless of  that pet name drop for me, Holder shifts into detective mode.
“Okay. You and Linden better appreciate the fact that my desktop computer is still on.” I say, clicking through the system to prepare myself for this hidden work.
“Ready?” Holder clips.
“Yeah, what name are you looking for?” I asked, taking out a notepad and glancing towards the computer screen every few seconds.
“Tom Drexler.” Holder says, sounded monotone for the sake of work. I click and type, focusing on purpose just in case I’d find a jackpot.
“Shit, sorry. That name sounds familiar, but he’s not logged in any of our databases.” I sadly announced, hoping that the truth wouldn’t deflate this ongoing investigation.
“Thanks for checking, but what do you know?” Holder turned an angle, seeing if I knew anything myself.
“Based on public records and news reports, I’ve read that he’s a coked-out billionaire with this huge ego. Wanted to build a stadium for the NBA, but city officials wouldn’t greenlight anything.” I recalled some knowledge and didn’t smile.
“Got it. I appreciate your help.” Holder offers gratitude and I already planned to hang up.
“No problem, Stephen. Stay safe out there and have a good weekend, all right?” I remained cordial without hesitation.
“Thanks, but it’s late now. Do you need a ride home?” Holder nearly stammered while talking to me on the other line, but offered kindness.
“No, thank you. My car’s still in the parking lot here and it’s not too dark outside yet. Don’t worry.” I tell him, still glancing between those double doors and this front desk while a custodian sweeps the floor.
“To be honest, I’ll never stop worrying about you, girl.” Stephen lowers his voice and my heart drops for a moment.
He’s still in love with you. Don’t deny that truth anymore. I think to myself.

Weird OC shit
Anwir : I'm bored.
Zan : Wanna commit first degree murder?
Anwir : Sure! Pavo , hearing them: No- Stop, don't do that! Put that knife down! Put Charles down!!
Faloi : A party is a celebration of a life, bringing people together to let the guest of honor know how much they’re loved. Anwir has done so much for us. This is our chance to do something for them.
Zan: By forcing them to have fun at a party that they don’t want to be at?
Faloi : I knew you’d understand.
Anwir : Pulls a glass of water from out of nowhere
Charles: Where did you get that?
Anwir : My pocket.
Charles: How do you keep a glass of water in your pocket?
Anwir : Skills.
Zan: trying to buy a Father's Day card at Hallmark
Zan: Excuse me, do you have any that just say "You are my dad?"
Associate: Well, I-
Zan: How about "You banged my mom?"
Associate: No...
Zan: You know what, I'll just get a blank one.
Zan: writes You are a father. This is a day. Here is a card.
Anwir : Is something burning?
Zan, leaning seductively on the counter: Just my desire for you.
Anwir : Zan, the toaster is literally on fire.
Pavo: Think you can answer some questions without the usual level of sarcasm?
Zan: If you can ask the questions without the usual level of stupid.
Zan: I do two things and two things only. I devastate sorry motherfuckers, and get shit done as an awesome leader.
Anwir : I scare people a lot because I walk very softly and they don't hear me enter rooms. So when they turn around, I'm just kind of there and their fear fuels me.
Faloi: Zan, why is Anwir intruding on our cuddle time?
Anwir : Zan, why is Faloi intruding on our cuddle time?
Zan, in distress: Please… I have two hands…
Charles: Hey, do you know the password to Pavo’s computer?
Zan: Fuck you, Charles.
Charles: Hey!! Zan: No, you misunderstood, the password is "fuckyouCharles".
Charles: Oh, no numbers? Not very safe.
Charles: Zan gave me a get better soon card.
Anwir : That's sweet!
Charles: I wasn't sick, they just think I can do better.
Charles: I hate Anwir .
Faloi: Don’t say hate. That is a mean word.
Charles: Fine, I LOATHE Anwir .
Faloi: How did you even get in here?
Zan: Charles's window! Or, as I like to call it, "Zan's door"!
Charles: I’m closing the window.
Anwir : Faloi won’t wake up, what do I do?
Zan: Did you try kicking them?
Anwir : Yes. Zan: I’m out of ideas.
Zan: How do you type so fast?
Pavo: Anxiety.
Zan, making a cup of tea: Yeah, get into that leaf juice, you sexy, sexy bee sauce.
Pavo: Hey, do you take constructive criticism?
Zan: I absolutely fucking do not.
Faloi: You three, explain right now!
Pavo: It was Zan.
Anwir : It was Zan.
Charles: It was Zan.
Zan:
Zan: …fuck.
Anwir : Surgery is basically just stabbing someone to life.

Zan: What?
Charles: pulls up a 500 slide presentation I'm glad you asked.
Pavo: You really believe in Charles?
Anwir : Luckily, they believe in themself enough for the both of us.

YOUR POV
When your friends keep teasing you about somebody liking you, it's quite easy to dismiss it as them taking the piss and simply wanting to annoy you. Especially when the person they think likes you isn't someone you like in a romantic way.
But maybe I should've really paid attention when Yelena and Y/BF/N used to make kissy faces at me whenever Jamal used to talk to me. I was convinced they were just seeing things, wanting to bug me, because Jamal was just somebody in my class. A friend at most and nothing more.
And because I didn't suspect he liked me, nor did I like him in that way, I missed when he actually tried to ask me out. Kind of like I missed the obvious of when he always used to flirt with me.
I was in the library editing some photos when he bumped into me and struck up a conversation. Again, it was nice having someone to chat to about my work, gauge a second opinion, bitch about class with. I didn't think much of it.
"So... you got any plans tonight?" he asked when the conversation fell silent momentarily.
I shrugged mindlessly, editing on the computer at the same time. "Not really."
He straightened up in his seat as he asked, "Well, d'you wanna, maybe, go out for dinner or something? There's a new Chinese restaurant not far from here that we could try."
I considered it, before shaking my head. "Nah, I probably shouldn't. I've got a bunch of ingredients in my fridge that I should probably use." I began to chuckle as I glanced over at him. "I watched one episode of Jamie Oliver and just assumed I could make this prawn pasta dish. Now I've actually gotta do it. Stupid, right?"
He bit his lip, humming softly.
"Damn, a Chinese sounds good now, too," I continued, looking back to my screen. "Maybe next time, yeah? Or just tell me how it is if you end up going without me."
So, I wasn't actually aware that he'd been trying to ask me out on a date until two days later when I was hurrying about my dorm, trying to get ready to leave for my volunteering at the care home.
In a rush because I was late and had to get the bus as Yelena couldn't pick me up, I almost walked right over the bouquet of flowers on the floor outside my door. But I didn't, and I picked it up with confusion, wondering who they were for.
Finding a card poking out the middle, I quickly pulled it out, aware of the time, and started to read it
I probably should have made it clearer when I asked, that's my fault, sorry. But I would love if you would do me the honour of accompanying me on a romantic dinner date, Y/N. If you're interested, of course. — Jamal
My eyes widened as I read the card twice to make sure I hadn't spaced out and imagined it. But it was real, and he'd really got me flowers and asked me out, and I was really beginning to panic because how the hell had I missed this?!
"This... this isn't happening...," I mumbled under my breath, looking between the flowers and the card before checking my watch and seeing the time. "Shit, I'm gonna be late."
Knowing I couldn't waste another second, I left the flowers and card in my dorm before leaving for the care home. All I could think about was what I was going to do though, and I felt stupid as I went over every interaction between Jamal and I, realising how he'd shown interest but I was too blind to notice.
When I reached the care home, I found Yelena and Kate in the staff room chatting. As soon as they spotted me, they smiled and waved in my direction, but I was still panicking internally.
"You were right," I said as soon as I stopped by their side, hand drumming on my thigh nervously.
They exchanged looks before Yelena quirked a brow and asked, "What?"
I frowned guiltily. "Jamal. He asked me out."
Kate suddenly choked on her coffee as she was mid-sip, making both Yelena and I look her way.
"I'm sorry, what?" she asked with raised eyebrows before clearing her throat.
I whined quietly. "I didn't know. We were at the library together a few days ago and he asked me out. But like, it wasn't obvious, y'know?"
Yelena was smirking with amusement. "Well, what did he say?"
"He asked if I wanted to get dinner with him."
Yelena's laughter caught the attention of everyone in the room, but they quickly resumed with their conversations, leaving me to flush with embarrassment.
"That's so obvious, you idiot!" she said between laughter.
I shook my head. "It wasn't at the time. So, I kind of shut him down without realising. But then he bought me flowers."
"Oh my God, this keeps getting better," Yelena interrupted with a grin. Meanwhile Kate was clutching her mug tightly, eyes flickering between Yelena and me with an intensity I couldn't pinpoint.
"He bought me flowers and left them at my door with a card," I continued to explain to both of them, the guilt oozing off every word. "He asked me out properly. And he's waiting for an answer."
Yelena laughed all over again, throwing her head back as tears came to her eyes.
"Yelena!" I whined like a child, but she ignored me. "I need help!"
Kate shook her head, ignoring Yelena. She looked less amused as she asked, "Did you reply to him?"
I met her gaze, shaking my head. "Not yet. I was running late and came straight here."
"Whew," Yelena said, wiping a tear from her eye as her laughter ceased, turning into a smile. "That was hilarious... what are you going to do?"
I gave her a knowing look. "C'mon, Yelena. You know I don't like him like that! And now I'm the arsehole, aren't I? Did I lead him on?" My eyes widened as I looked away with realisation. "Oh, no, I led him on. And I'm gonna have to tell him I don't like him. Oh, God..."
Yelena chuckled, not even bothering to give me advice like I'd wanted. And Kate wasn't any better, with her quiet, surprised stare that looked at me but not quite at me. Neither of them were helping my situation, and when our manager came in, ushering us to help out like we were supposed to, my query was left hanging in the air.
Kate and I were on cleanup duty where the board games were, attempting to match the pieces to the right boxes and stack them neatly underneath the windowsill. But I was still unable to change the subject of my issue with Jamal.
"... I understand that I was nice to him, but I'm nice to everyone!" I exclaimed, mouth rambling my thoughts without pausing. "I don't think I flirted... I mean, he asked me for help sometimes and I gave it to him. But that's what friends do! Now it's gonna be weird when I tell him we're just that. And I don't even know how to tell him that."
The millionth groan escaped my lips as I tried to distract myself with work, but I couldn't focus. I glanced over at Kate, hoping she would make me feel better, but a smile was curling on her lips, making me groan yet again.
"No, not you, too!" I complained, making her laugh. "Please don't say 'I told you so'."
Beginning to stack the board games, she shrugged indifferently. "I won't, I promise."
Her smile was still present though, enough to mock me and make me sigh deeply.
"I'll figure it out," I mumbled, before dropping the subject and focusing on the job before me.
Kate hummed. "I'm sure you will, Y/N."
————————
THIRD PERSON POV
When Y/N was distracted with bringing out lunch on some trays to the residents, Yelena took that as her opportunity to pull Kate aside. Quite literally, she yanked the taller girl away from a conversation, making her yelp with surprise.
"Well, that was rude," Kate said, blinking.
"You'll get over it," Yelena said with squinted eyes, before shaking her head. "Now. We need to talk about you and Y/N."
Kate glanced around nervously, as if expecting Y/N to pop out at any second. "Could you keep your voice down?"
Yelena ignored her and gave her a knowing look. "You need to tell her, Kate. About how you feel. Otherwise it might be too late."
Sighing quietly, Kate nodded and looked down to her shoes. She knew that Yelena would bring it up, especially since Jamal had made a move on Y/N and had a better chance at taking her out than she did.
"I know," Kate agreed disappointedly.
"It's either that or you can keep watching Jamal get her bouquets of flowers until she agrees to go out with him," Yelena continued, feeling like tough love was necessary right now. "And if she doesn't, then somebody else is gonna swoop in, someone who she actually likes, and it'll be too late."
Kate frowned at the thought of seeing her with someone else. "Yelena, I know."
Suddenly, Yelena slapped her on the arm, making her jump. "Then do something about it, idiot!"
Rubbing her arm, Kate complained, "That hurt!"
Yelena rolled her eyes and walked away to get back to work, leaving Kate sulking and also thinking about what the blonde had told her. She knew she had to make a move. But it was a matter of whether she had the guts to or not. And she wasn't so sure she did.
————————
YOUR POV
"You're supposed to be organising these folders with me," I heard Yelena say from the corner of the room.
"I will, I will," I mumbled distractedly, scrolling through Instagram.
Our manager was making us do some admin work whilst Kate was stuck on washing up duty after lunch, but I wasn't in the mood. Yelena wasn't either, but she also wasn't lazy like me.
"You have ten seconds before I stick that phone up your arse," she said, and I glanced up at her with a quirked brow to see she was deadly serious.
"Okay, one second!" I retorted, about to close the app and put my phone away, but then I got a text from none other than Jamal and accidentally clicked it open. Squealing, I dropped my phone on my lap. "Fuck!"
"Fuck indeed," Yelena agreed with annoyance, before looking to me. "What is it now?"
I looked to her with wide eyes. I'd been trying to forget about the Jamal situation, at least until my volunteering hours were over, but he was making himself quite hard to forget.
"He texted," I said, and she knew who I was talking about instantly. "He texted and I just opened it."
An amused smile was on her lips as she said, "Well, what did he say?"
I made an uneasy humming noise and picked up my phone like it was a grenade about to go off.
"Hey, Y/N," I began reading the text aloud. "I hope your day is going well. I just wanted to see if you got the flowers I left you outside your door? I hope you like them! I just wanted to check that and also maybe find out if you're interested in that date?"
Yelena began to chuckle as I groaned lowly, sinking further into my seat.
"I'm gonna have to tell him now, aren't I?" I asked, already knowing the answer. He'd know I opened the message, so it was now or never.
"It'll be easy," she said with a shrug. "He'll understand. Just be honest."
I clenched my jaw as I nodded, trying to do just that. After giving myself a mini pep talk, I typed out a response.
Hey Jamal! Yeah I got your flowers, sorry I've kept you waiting. I'm actually still volunteering at the care home but saw this message. It was a lovely thought and the flowers are beautiful! I'm honoured that you asked, but I'm so sorry, I don't feel romantically interested in you. I like you as a friend of course, but yeah. I'm so sorry!
Was that too ramble-y? Probably. But letting someone down over text wasn't something I had done before, and I already felt like shit for leading him on. I could only hope he'd take it well.
After a moment, his response came through and I felt my stomach twisting uncomfortably.
It's okay, Y/N, no need to apologise! Thank you for being honest with me. And sorry to interrupt your volunteering. Hope we can still be friends.
"Fuck...," I mumbled guiltily.
"He not taking it well?" Yelena asked as she busied herself with work.
"He's taking it too well," I answered with a frown. "That's the problem."
She smiled, shaking her head, as I sent him another message.
Of course we can. And if you want your flowers back, I can drop them off at your dorm or something.
He didn't reply for another minute, making my anxiety skyrocket. And then:
Don't be silly, they were for you. Keep them.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck," I mumbled once more, feeling insanely guilty.
Thanks, Jamal. I'll see you around.
Locking my phone, I put it in my jacket pocket and gave myself a break. Problem kind of solved.
"All fixed?" Yelena asked.
I nodded. "All fixed."
"Great," she said, before nodding to the pile of folders in front of her. "Get to work!"
————————
It was difficult to stop feeling guilty about letting Jamal down, especially because I knew things would no longer be the same between us. It would be too awkward for us to study together or give each other's opinions on our work, and I would miss it.
I hadn't actually seen him since before he gave me the flowers, so I wasn't sure if he actually hated me or if he was just completely avoiding me altogether.
That was almost a week ago. Today was Y/BF/N and Kate's archery tournament, the first of a series of competitions that would happen over the course of the next month. Because this was the first, a bunch of university teams were here to play on our turf, and for once, I wasn't covering the story for the university's news site, but rather showing my support instead.
Yelena and I were attending together, hoping to cheer our friends on and watch them win with ease because, let's be honest, nobody was a better team than ours.
We were both sat in the stands before the competition had actually started, having found the best seats right at the front before it was my job to keep them whilst Yelena went to get us some snacks. She left after leaving her jacket on her seat, going to get us both some popcorn and drinks, and I looked out ahead to see all the teams warming up and chatting amongst themselves.
"Y/N, hey..."
I looked to my left and tried not appear visibly startled when I saw Jamal approaching me with a nervous smile. So, he wasn't avoiding me.
"Jamal, hello," I greeted with an awkward smile. "How are you?"
"I'm good, yeah," he said, mirroring my awkward smile, before adding, "Sorry. I know this is weird, but I just wanted to say something... Can I?"
He was motioning to the empty seat next to me and I nodded, watching as he let out a relieved breath and sat there.
"I just wanted to apologise if I've made things awkward between us," he said gently, avoiding my eyes. "That was never my intention. I tried my chance with you and you said no, and that's okay. But I just genuinely hope we can remain friends. No hard feelings."
Okay, well if I didn't feel guilty before, I certainly did now. Poor guy was apologising and it wasn't even his fault.
"Of course we can," I said honestly, any overthinking I did before dispersing when he looked to me with relief. "Sorry if I've been standoffish, Jamal. I just– I didn't think– I thought you didn't actually mean what you said over text."
"Hey, it's all good, it was awkward for everyone involved," he joked with a slight chuckle, making me smile. "Hopefully not anymore though."
I nodded in agreement. "Not anymore."
He looked down momentarily before glancing at me with a quirked brow. "Can I ask what it was? Why you said no? Obviously you don't have to answer, but I just thought I'd ask."
Deciding honesty was the best policy, I admitted, "I'm not gonna lie, Jamal, I just never thought about you in a romantic way. I like you, but not like that."
He sighed, nodding in understanding. "Fair enough... well, if you don't like me, is there anyone else that's caught your eye?"
"Er..." I paused, looking ahead as I thought about it. Then my eyes crossed over Kate in the distance. She was talking to some of her teammates, Y/BF/N included, smile on her lips and looking adorable in her uniform. Maybe there was someone that had caught my eye, but I definitely couldn't see it going anywhere. Shaking my head, I looked back to Jamal. "Not particularly, no."
He nodded. "Right, well that's too bad. They would've been very lucky."
I didn't know what to do except smile with embarrassment at his compliment. It was sweet, I could admit that.
"So, you're not photographing the competition this time around?" he asked, changing the subject, and I was glad because it was something I could talk about and feel normal about.
————————
THIRD PERSON POV
Kate clenched her jaw as she glanced over Y/BF/N's shoulder mid-conversation, spotting Y/N and Jamal talking and smiling about something in the stands. She wasn't supposed to be jealous, especially because she knew Y/N didn't like him, and yet...
"...and you're not listening to a word I'm saying, are you?" Y/BF/N asked rhetorically, quirking her eyebrow at the blue-eyed girl before her. "What are you even...?"
She followed Kate's line of sight, turning around and spotting Y/N and Jamal sat together in the stands.
"I thought she wasn't interested in him," Y/BF/N said with confusion, furrowing her eyebrows.
"Me, too," Kate mumbled through gritted teeth, gaze so sharp that she was surprised Jamal wasn't combusting into thin air.
Detecting a hint of frustration in Kate's voice, Y/BF/N looked back to hear teammate and studied her expression. The tensed jaw, the narrowed eyes, the clenched fists... Kate was jealous.
Y/BF/N smiled with realisation, finally having put two and two together. How she hadn't noticed that her teammate liked her best friend was beyond her, but now it was like the elephant in the room.
"Good luck, Bishop," Y/BF/N said with amusement, patting her on the shoulder before walking away to prepare for the competition.
Kate assumed she was talking about the competition and ignored her, eyes piercing into the laughing duo in the distance. She couldn't just let whatever that was happen... no, not without doing something about it.
————————
YOUR POV
Jamal and I were talking about how our portfolios were going when I felt Yelena return to her seat beside me, popcorn and drinks in hand.
"Okay, so I got you a Dr. Pepper, but they didn't have any straws so you're gonna have to make do with– oh."
She stopped talking when she noticed Jamal sat beside me, the two of us watching her.
"Yelena, hi," Jamal said with an awkward smile, before looking to me. "I'm gonna go find my seat. But I'm glad we cleared things up, Y/N."
"Me, too," I said, smiling gratefully. "Catch you later."
He waved goodbye and nodded to Yelena before leaving.
"So, that wasn't totally awkward and uncomfortable?" Yelena asked as she handed me my drink and a packet of gummy bears.
"Not as much as you'd think," I said with a shrug, before looking ahead and seeing that the competition wasn't starting just yet. "Thanks for the snacks. Watch my seat whilst I go to the toilet?"
"I'll be sure to fight off anyone who tries to take it," she said jokingly before filling her mouth with popcorn.
I rolled my eyes playfully before leaving my snacks on my seat and leaving to head inside the gym. As I was attempting to find the toilet, not coming into the gym often enough to know where it was, I heard footsteps behind me before hearing a voice.
"Hey!"
I spun around, surprised to see Kate approaching me. Why she was in here was beyond me, but I smiled anyway.
"I swear I'm not skipping," I joked as she stalked towards me. "I just need to pee."
Not even the slightest bit amused, she stopped before me and stared with irritation.
"I thought you didn't like him," she said sternly, eyes flickering between mine impatiently.
Losing my smile, I raised an eyebrow. "What?"
She pressed her lips together with dissatisfaction. "Jamal."
Very confused, I shook my head. "I don't."
She scoffed. "Then what was that earlier? You're sat together? Did you– did you yes to the date or something? Are you going out now, is that it?"
To my further surprise, she didn't look like she was joking, but rather like she was actually upset with the thought of me going on a date with Jamal. And if she didn't look so serious, I would have laughed at that very moment.
"You know, if I'm not mistaken, I'd think you were jealous," I teased, an amused smile on my lips, hoping to lighten the mood.
She raised her eyebrows with disbelief. "I am!"
My smile faded slightly, when I realised what she'd said.
"I like you for God's sake!" she continued, her expression a mixture of frustration and hurt. "I've liked you for almost four years and I'll be damned if I watch Mr Smooth Moves Jamal get you before I get a chance!"
I blinked, taken aback. She liked me? Four years? What?! I mean, I guess that made sense... why she always acted strange around me. Liking me wouldn't have been my first guess, but it made complete sense now. How the hell had I missed that?
"Kate," I finally spoke, feeling the need to reassure her. "I didn't agreed to go on a date with him."
She crossed her arms and rolled her eyes. "But you like him."
I was in awe as I recognised the jealousy oozing from her, the irritated expression she wore, the actual annoyance she was portraying right now. Never would have guessed it, not in a million years, and I was in disbelief.
Stepping closer to her, I watched as she dropped her arms by her side, tenseness dispersing when she saw what I was doing. Her dark eyes followed my every move, like a deer caught in headlights, and I risked raising my hand, resting it on her shoulder. She froze under my touch, but didn't say a word. For someone whose specialty was staying still to shoot an arrow, she was terrible at not trembling.
"I don't like him," I assured her, looking between her eyes.
Any confidence she once had when waltzing up to me was now gone as her eyes met mine. Despite being taller, she was shrinking at the attention and it was funny to me how easily her adrenaline had slipped away and she was left to deal with the repercussions.
"Oh...," she muttered, cheeks turning slightly pink when she realised how much she'd blown this out of proportion.
I took in her expression wholly, admiring the slight crease between her brows, the curve of her nose, the pucker of her lips... she was so stupid, but so beautiful.
"Can I kiss you?" I asked her, lifting my eyes from her lips to meet her gaze once more.
She swallowed visibly, a quiet whine escaping the back of her throat, followed by a lame nod. I assumed that was a yes and suppressed the urge to smile before leaning forward, pressing my lips to hers. My hand rested on the back of her neck as I tugged her closer, and her ponytail tickled my skin as she moved slightly, hands curling around my waist.
If she was awkward and uncomfortable around me before, it didn't show now as she settled into me quite quickly, lips moving against mine like they were always supposed to be there.
Unfortunately for me, we couldn't stay standing there kissing forever, and when we broke apart, we were breathless. I opened my eyes and saw the complete and utter surprise on her face. Her grip loosened on my waist as if she'd realised what she'd just done.
"I like you, too," I told her before she could second guess anything.
She swallowed hard. "Uh-huh..."
I began to smile, trying hard not to laugh at how stunned she was.
"You're cute," I muttered, and she merely blinked in response, cheeks flushing. Letting go of her, I took a small step back and continued, "You should get ready for the competition, Kate. It's gonna start any minute."
She nodded slowly, before asking, "Are you gonna be there? Watching, I mean?"
I eased her nerves with a smile. "Of course. I just gotta pee, remember?"
Her eyes widened slightly as she nodded. "Right, yes, yeah, duh!"
I grinned at her awkwardness – still the weird archer I knew her as – and leaned in to kiss her on the cheek. "Good luck, Kate. Not that you'll need it."
She cleared her throat as if to respond, but all she could muster was a hum as her eyes met mine. I chuckled, finding her pink cheeks, bright eyes and amazed expression endearing. I nodded to the exit and she zoned back into reality, nodding quickly before leaving.
I found myself fixed with a permanent smile as I headed to the toilet.
————————
It was no surprise when our university's archery team was announced as the winner of today's competition.
The crowd erupted into applause, everyone jumping out of their seats with excitement and running to celebrate with their friends and family. Yelena and I immediately left to go and find Kate and Y/BF/N to celebrate. I saw Kate instantly, her eyes finding mine in the distance, and waved her over with a smile.
She returned my smile and approached, but she barely made it three steps before tripping over and hurtling straight into me. I stopped her from knocking us both down, laughing at her embarrassed expression.
"Oh my God, sorry!" she squeaked, straightening up and looking at me with wide eyes. "I should've watched my feet or something."
As my laughter ceased, I studied her flushed cheeks – a staple with her now – and realised how much it made sense that she was this clumsy. Still cute nonetheless.
"It's okay," I said with a smile, before squeezing her arm.
"Congratulations!" Yelena shouted excitedly, and I'd almost forgotten she was there until she smacked Kate on the arm supportively. "You nailed it, Kate."
Kate looked to Yelena with a smile. "Thank you. I'm glad you both came."
Yelena waved her hand dismissively, before spotting something over Kate's shoulder. "Ah, there's Y/BF/N. Let me go get her."
Before Kate could reply, Yelena jogged off to get her. I barely had chance to think up what to say next before Kate looked to me and blurted out, "Do you wanna go on a date tomorrow night?"
I tried not to laugh as I quirked a brow. "What?"
She swallowed hard before saying, "A date. With me. Together."
My smile widened. "Kate, I'd love to."
Her tense shoulders relaxed as she breathed out slowly. "Great. I was thinking the arcade."
"Sounds good to me."
"I can meet you there," she said, before her face scrunched up and she shook her head. "Unless you want to be picked up." Looking up, she nodded to herself. "Actually, that makes more sense. It's a date, so why would we meet there? But it's also the first date, so maybe it makes more sense to just meet there. I don't have a car though so we could always get the bus together. But that's a little weird–"
"Kate," I cut her rambling off, suppressing the urge to laugh at how worked up she was getting already. "I'll meet you there. That's perfectly fine."
She nodded, exhaling softly before a smile appeared on her lips. As Yelena returned with Y/BF/N in tow, I mirrored Kate's smile and wondered how I ever could have hated her at one point in my life, or thought she had hated me.
————————
"Seriously, how are you winning every game we play?"
I laughed at Kate's pout from across the air hockey table, giving her a knowing look. "C'mon, Kate, you may be the athlete but I have my strengths, too."
As she placed the puck on the table, preparing to have her go, she mumbled, "Yeah, but I thought yours was photography, not air hockey. Or skeeball. Or zombie shooters."
My grin was permanently fixed on my face as it had been for the past hour of our date. It was going splendidly so far and I was having a really great time with her. At first, she was a little awkward and still could be sometimes, but she was warming up and it was adorable to see her pout whenever she lost a game, which had been every game we played so far.
"You can choose the next thing we play," I reasoned, as I deflected the puck with my paddle before hitting it hard and scoring a goal. Resisting the urge to celebrate visibly, I bit my lip to contain my smile and added, "Anything you want."
She rolled her eyes playfully, trying to hide the smile from her own lips before pulling the puck out from her goal and setting up her go.
We went back and forth for a while until I eventually won the game. I probably should have let her win at least one thing since this was her idea for a date, but my competitive streak always got the better of me.
"Darts," she decided as we looked around the arcade to see what we could play next. A satisfied grin was on her face as she turned to look at me. "I choose darts."
I groaned playfully as she dragged me over to the electronic dartboard. "That's hardly fair. It's basically archery but smaller."
Her blue eyes sparkled under the fluorescent lighting as she grabbed the darts from the board and put the money in the machine. "You've beat me at literally everything else. Surely I'm allowed one feat?"
I raised my hands in defeat as we took a few steps back. "Okay, okay, go on! Impress me, Bishop."
She nodded satisfactorily before getting into her stance. I leaned against a nearby arcade game as I gave her enough space to line up her shot. My eyes were glued to her as she got ready, a smile on my lips at how cute her focused face was.
As if feeling my gaze on her, her eyes flickered over to me briefly and she lost her focus, visible in the slight tremble of her hand. My smile widened as she looked back to the dart board and eventually took her shot. To my surprise, she missed completely, the dart bouncing off the wall and to the floor.
I began to laugh at her embarrassed expression, watching as she bent over to pick it up.
"That doesn't count," she muttered, shaking her head, and my grin was still present as I realised what had just happened.
"It makes so much sense now," I said aloud, uncrossing my arms and straightening up.
"What?" she asked, trying to appear confident, but the blush on her cheeks said otherwise.
"The clumsiness," I said like it was obvious, tilting my head to admire her. "I make you nervous. How cute."
She scoffed in disagreement. "That is very incorrect, Y/N. In fact, it's quite the opposite. You just happen to catch me whenever I'm–"
I cut her off by pressing a kiss to her warm cheek. She paused, eyes meeting mine, and I smiled at her with adoration.
"It's adorable," I added, appreciating the way the heat travelled up her neck and made her ears go pink.
She cleared her throat as I took a step back, returning to my spot leaning against the machine. My eyes never left hers as she continued to have her go. Of course, as she played and I watched with amusement, she missed every single shot she took. I couldn't stop grinning at the effect I had on her with a simple glance.
Eventually, after losing the game altogether, I was about to suggest we try something else when unfortunately for us, two guys decided to approach us and try their luck.
"You two look like you could use some company," one of them said with a (what I assume was) a flirty smile.
"Just trying to enjoy some darts, fellers," Kate said calmly with a nod.
"Yeah, we saw you playing just before," the other guy said, checking out Kate at the same time and making me roll my eyes. "What d'you say to having a game with us?"
"We're not interested," I told them with a forced smile. "Thanks though."
The first guy stopped in front of us before we could leave, clearly not taking no for an answer. "Hey, c'mon, it's just one game! If we win, we get a date with both of you."
I quirked a brow at his persistence. He really thought he had a shot at landing a date for himself and his friend, didn't he? They probably thought Kate was terrible at this from what they'd seen. Maybe this could work to our advantage...
"And if we win?" I asked curiously.
Confident with my interest, the guy answered, "What do you want?"
I glanced at Kate, who was thankfully already thinking the same thing I was.
"How about all your tickets?" she asked, nodding to the prized tickets sticking out of his back pocket.
The guy nodded. "You got a deal. So. Which one of you ladies is playing me?"
"Kate, you got this?" I asked her, putting an arm around her shoulder.
She nodded and the guy took his place by the darts, grabbing them from the board.
"Now would be a great time to not suck," I mumbled to her jokingly, making her crack a smile.
"Don't look at me and I just might win," she teased back, making me chuckle.
"Name's Joel by the way," the guy said as he handed the darts to Kate so she could go first. An annoying smirk was on his face as he continued, "And my buddy over there is Mark."
Resisting the urge to roll my eyes, I stood next to his 'buddy' Mark and got ready to watch the game.
"I'm Kate," Kate introduced with a fake smile. "And that's my buddy, Y/N."
Before Joel could reply, Kate threw the dart at the board, diving right in and immediately landing it in the centre of the board. I tried not to laugh at the way Joel and Mark's expressions fell.
"Can't wait to spend those tickets," Kate said with a wink, looking to Joel, whose jaw was literally dropped.
For the rest of the game, Kate landed every single dart in the centre of the board, beating Joel by a landslide of points and impressing me at the same time. I knew she was good, but she never failed to make me appreciate her talent every time I witnessed her skills in action.
As promised, Joel and Mark handed over their tickets once the game was over, still a little dumbstruck at how badly they lost.
"Thanks, boys," Kate said with a bright smile, holding all the tickets like an excited kid.
I laughed as they walked away, finally leaving us alone. She looked to me, holding the tickets in the air with a raised brow.
"So, my treat?" she asked, and I felt butterflies in my stomach at the cute smile on her lips.
We went straight to the prize counter at the front of the arcade and spent our tickets on two matching teddy bears, a souvenir from an amazing date.
"This is probably the best date I've ever been on," I admitted, holding my teddy bear with a grin. "Thanks, Kate."
"Well, it's not over yet," she said, before nodding to the diner. "Wanna eat?"
"Hell yeah."
She mirrored my grin and held out her hand, to which I grabbed and intertwined my fingers with hers.
"By the way," I said as we walked to the diner, "it's cute that you liked me all this time. I feel like an idiot for not seeing it sooner."
"Ehhhh, I never really made it obvious," she said with an embarrassed voice, "but I had to get in before Jamal did."
I chuckled, glancing over at her. "Looks like Jamal was good for something after all."
She sighed dramatically. "I guess..."
Laughing, I squeezed her hand and appreciated the smile she sent my way. I leaned in, kissing her cheek, and leaned my head on her shoulder as we walked.
I was certain that this was the best date ever.

Isekai oneshots series - Part 1 // 500 Followers event series
Thank y’all so much for 500 followers fhrjendjfir
Tumblr media
For a while now you’ve been feeling an intense pair of eyes staring at you, despite being asleep. Shifting around, you’re pulled from your sleep from the gaze. Opening your eyelids feels like opening rusty shutters. It took a moment for your 3AM brain to compute what was looking at you, but once you finally realize it was a pair of stranger’s eyes, you immediately launch yourself back like an octopus.
You land backwards on your ass, hard. When the hell did the floor turn to stone, and when were you sleeping on it? Rubbing your sore backside a little bit, you finally take in your surroundings... some sort of unfamiliar laboratory? To your side, there’s all sorts of bookshelves and strange contraptions. Nothing you had really seen in high school biology class, for sure.
"...Are you okay?" A voice suddenly asks. What’s with the familiar voice? You look directly in front of you, and there’s a familiar face looking at you from a kneeling position.
You furrow your eyebrows. This shit can’t be real, right?
"Albedo?" You ask, your voice high pitched in confusion and apprehension.
"Oh my, you know my name," he speaks. He writes down something in a notebook he had next to him. "How strange."
What’s strange is that I’m suddenly face to face with a fucking video game character who looks real as hell. You think to yourself.
"How did I get here?" If your suspicions prove true, then you should be in Mondstadt, Teyvat. Specifically Albedo’s alchemy research lab.
"I was trying a particular summoning ritual I found in an old tome. You are the result of the summoning," Albedo trails off lightly, likely continuing his tangent to himself in his head.
"W-where am I?" Time to see if you’re right.
"You’re in my alchemy workshop. We’re in Mondstadt, Teyvat."
"Holy fuck I really did get isekai’d," you muttered to yourself, bringing your hand to your forehead.
"Pardon?"
"Nothing. I—I’m... uhh... basically not from this world."
"Another outlander... I figured." He thinks to himself. Alright, so you’re definitely here at the same time as the traveller. "Do you perhaps want a different attire? Those clothes don’t look very... practical. Like sleepwear, almost."
No shit. I’m still in my pyjamas. You pulled me outta my bed. You grumble in your mind.
"Sure. I’ll take a change of clothes if you have some."
"I’m afraid it’s just a standard Knights of Favonius uniform without the armour." Albedo hands it to you and turns away for you to change. You quickly do so and slip on the black turtle neck, puffy black pants and knee high boots.
"Decent," you say.
Albedo turns back around. "Come with me. There’s someone you may like to meet," he says, gesturing with his hand for you to follow him out of the alchemy lab.
You exit out of the headquarters and into the bright city of Mondstadt. It’s currently sunset, but the sky is still bright. You thought it was last 3AM, so you’re quite tired now. But you’ve already been woken up, so there’s no going back to sleep for you. Albedo appears to be headed in the direction of the tavern. What? Who’s at the tavern? The traveller?
Nah, turns out it was literally fucking everyone.
"What the fuck."
Pretty much every playable character is packed into Angel’s share. It’s lively with all the conversation between everyone. No one really notices your entrance except Diluc who simply casts a confused look at your unfamiliar face.
Albedo drifts over to a braid-styled blond that you instantly recognize as Aether, who was chatting to Paimon and Jean. He turns in your direction and wonders over with Albedo in tow.
"So you’re the same as me, huh?"
"Yep." You bite the inside of your mouth to not blurt out anything dumb. You’re surrounded by characters—uh, more people now—that you simp. You do not want to say anything stupid.
"What brings you to Teyvat?" Aether asks. It’s weird talking to him without Paimon being the surrogate speaker for the silent protagonist. He’s not really the protagonist anymore. It’s arguably you now.
"Uh... Albedo was stuffing around with summoning and I was the thing that got summoned."
"Oh, so you’re here by accident."
"Yes... I unfortunately don’t have any way to send them back to their world." Albedo joins in.
Maybe I don’t wanna go back so fast.
Out of nowhere, you feel something small bump into you from behind. You turn around and it’s a drunk Venti.
"Ehhhh, who’s this new pretty face?" He slurs. A blush is evident on his face. If he’s this drunk, he’s got to have knocked back at least 30 beers or so.
"This is... I do not know your name actually," Albedo realizes he never asked your name. Oops on his behalf, you guess.
"Y/N."
"Huh, that’s a strange name. Doesn’t sound local." Venti wracks his brain, trying to think where it could be from. "Oh! Could it be you’re like ol’ Aether here?"
How the fuck did the drunkard guess correctly. Then again, he is a god.
"Uh... yeah. Our situations are similar enough..." You say. You didn’t really lose your only next of kin to a god that looks like it’s from a different game. You got summoned here by Albedo out of pure fucky-wucky luck.
"Everyone!" Venti suddenly calls out. Oh boy, here he goes with his drunken antics. "We have another outlander with us now!" He pretty much hangs off you with one arm while pointing at you with his free hand. "Give ol’ Y/N a warm welcome!"
Literally everyone is staring at you. This is a nightmare.
"Uh... Hi," is all you can get out.
"Well hello there, Y/N. I must say, that name of yours is quite pleasant to say," a smooth voice coos from the corner of the tavern. You know exactly who it belongs to. Kaeya.
You look over at the blue-haired man who’s sat at the bar cross legged with one arm on the bench, propping up his head. His eye screams "FLIRT FLIRT FLIRT". You notice a blush on his face. He’s also drunk off his ass. Kaeya is promptly bonked over the head by Diluc with an empty beer mug.
"Owww..." Kaeya rubs his head.
"Shut it, Kaeya. Gods, can you wait 10 seconds without flirting? Sorry about him. He’s worse when he’s drunk. Just ignore him." Diluc sighs, crossing his arms.
"Oh, so you’re not going introduce yourself since you did for me?" Kaeya throws a glare at the redhead, who in turn sighs.
"Name’s Diluc. I own the tavern," he says.
"Y/N? I do not believe that is a name similar to Aether’s. You must be from different world, then." A deep voice chimes in. Oh fuck, you know who that is as well. Zhongli. Why is he here in Mondstadt?
"It’s certainly a strange name, alright."
"You’re one to talk, Fatui."
You also know the next two belong to. Childe and Xiao, respectively. Your eyes flitter about the crowd and spot them quickly. Xiao is perched on the second floor railing while Zhongli and Childe are sat at a table.
"Aww, no need to be a sourpuss in front of the new one," Childe chuckles to himself, obviously provoking Xiao, who takes the bait.
"I’m not a sourpuss!" He hisses. This just rises another laugh out of Childe. You’re surprised to find Zhongli suddenly standing in front of you, as you were distracted by the brief drama between the adeptus and the harbinger.
"My apologies for those two. They do not get along very well. My name is Zhongli. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance." He greets you.
"Y-you too."
Now it’s Childe’s turn to suddenly appear before you. "Hey, the name’s Tartaglia, or Childe. But if you want, you can call me your’s—," Childe was instantly cut off by Xiao hurtling a mug at Childe’s head. What’s up with the flirters getting bonked?
"I’m Xiao... If you ever need me, just call my name and I’ll be there," he grumbles, readjusting himself on his perch.
"Goodness, the men are certainly talkative tonight," Another voice speaks. This time, it’s a woman’s voice. "Don’t mind them, outlander. My name is Ningguang. Pleased to meet you." The white haired lady greets you with a coy grin. You thought she wouldn’t have any interest... So why’s she talking to you?
"Ah, so this the newbie, huh?" A strong arm slings around your neck. You look up and see Beidou looking down at you. "How ya doin’ kiddo? Name’s Beidou, cap’n of the Crux. Come visit if you wanna grab a drink sometime," she grins. Her chest is awkwardly close to your face.
"Beidou, you are rather tactless, you know," Ningguang sighs. Whether it’s from how close Beidou suddenly got or whether she instantly invited you out for drinks, you don’t know.
"Loosen up Ning, we’re at a tavern," Beidou nudges Ningguang, to which the white haired woman just rolls her eyes.
"Oh my, so this is the cutie everyone’s talking about all of a sudden?" There’s literally only one person who calls everyone a cutie. Lisa. "Hello there, sweetie~ If you ever need help with anything, I’m always available to do anything for you." She finishes with a wink.
"Lisa, don’t be so hasty. Give Y/N some room to breathe." She places a hand on the mage’s shoulder and reigns her in a bit. "Sorry about her... She gets a bit... enthusiastic when meeting new people. I’m Jean, Acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius. If you ever have any troubles, don’t hesitate to let me know," she says with a kind smile. Jean seems the most level headed here.
Looking around, your eye also catches Ganyu who’s face planted down on the table, asleep. That’s honestly how you wanna be.
Right now, you seem to have a lot of hot people clamouring over you. Did you die and ascend to heaven? Or are you burdened with the curse of the isekai harem protagonist?

hiiii !!! hope you are having a great day !! can i request “person a making a playlist for person b without their knowledge”, person a being schlatt, person b being fem reader ? :) my idea for da plot is that they are friends and making a cute n romantic playlist is schlatt’s idea of making a move on her ? thank you in advance and again i hope you have a great day !! love ur writing !!!
Tumblr media
this is so stupid, schlatt kept trying to convince himself, adding yet another old, cheesy love song to the ever-growing playlist. shaking his head, he dragged his hands down his face. why the hell is he even doing this in the first place? it’s stupid, so, so stupid. looking back up at his computer screen, he looked over the songs he added to the playlist. there were about 20 songs, adding up to a little over an hour. he let his eyes drift to the left where jambo sat on his cat tower, watching him, judging him almost.
“the hell do you want, you little shit?” schlatt grumbled at the feline.
as if understanding what he said, jambo turned on his other side and stretched. now facing the window, he laid his head down to take a nap. schlatt grumbled lowly to himself again in frustration. if he stopped right now, deleted the playlist, you’d be none the wiser. it’s not like you knew what he was even doing in the first place. making a playlist for you was originally a fleeting thought, a small thing he pondered over after seeing people making a playlist for their own loved ones. not like you were his loved one. you two were just friends, a fact he was reminded of each time the two of you would speak to each other.
as he glared at the playlist, an alarm on his phone went off - he has to help someone record. dismissing the alarm, he exited out of spotify, trying to clear his head and get into character before joining a call with his friends.
schlatt didn’t get alone time until way later that night. between recording with his friends, recording for himself, and editing, he hadn’t gotten a chance to think about the playlist he was working on. that was, until he opened spotify to try and relax. he zoned out as he waited for the app to load and when he zoned back in, the playlist was glaring at him, taunting him. he was immediately whipped back into the mood he was in whilst making said playlist. annoyed. annoyed with himself. why can’t he just say he likes you like a normal person? why does he have to make you jump through hoops to try and figure it out?
he’s embarrassed. that’s why. embarrassed because the jschlatt has a silly little crush on someone. what is he, a stupid middle schooler again? he sighed out in frustration, much like he did earlier that day. his knee started bobbing, his thoughts racing more and more the longer he started at the playlist.
“for y/n”
without thinking (or because he couldn't stop thinking), he reached forward, grabbing his mouse. he clicked on the playlist and copied the link to it. he navigated his way to discord and into your guys’ dm’s. he paused as he saw the last messages the two of you shared:
night, schlatt, sleep well, love you! :)
yeah yeah you too
taking a deep breath, he pasted the link in the message bar. he paused again, wondering if this was actually a good idea. he sighed and shook his head, raising his hand to delete the message. right as he went to do so, jambo suddenly jumped onto his desk in hopes of getting attention. as he walked forward, he stepped on schlatt’s keyboard, pressing a couple keys in the process.
“jambo!” schlatt berated as he picked up the kitten, holding him up to his face so he could look into his wide eyes, “what the hell, man, you coulda really -”
schlatt stopped himself mid-sentence as his focus was suddenly turned to the screen behind jambo’s head. the little gremlin didn’t like how the attention wasn’t on him anymore as he meowed and tried to push his face against his owner’s. preoccupied, said owner just set him down, eyes glued to his monitor. fuck. fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck. what the hell man! even though he was thinking about it, it’s not like schlatt was actually going to send the playlist to you! but now he did. the deed was done. he couldn’t just delete the message, you’d still get the notification and you'd definitely ask him about it. before he could think too much more into it, schlatt surged forward and turned off his computer. he pushed himself away from his desk, eyes wide and felt growing hotter by the second.
he slipped the headband out of his wavy hair and ran a hand through it. he sat there for a second, completely still with his fingers in his hair and forehead resting on his palm. he was broken out of his distressed trance when jambo meowed again at him. schlatt took a deep breath and ignored jambo’s cries for attention, opting to walk out of his recording room and into bed to try and sleep it off, deal with it in the morning.
-----
schlatt didn’t get much sleep. from his nervousness from how you’d react to jambo continuously meowing at him due to the lack of attention, schlatt laid awake, staring idly at the ceiling until he eventually fell asleep. he was awoken by the sound of his phone ringing, way too loud in his ear. not bothering to check who was calling, schlatt picked it up, expecting it to be a spam call.
what he wasn’t expecting, however, was your loud voice to exclaim, “schlatt!” right into his ear.
“fuckin - what?” he responded annoyed at being yelled at first thing in the morning. and that’s when he remembered. the playlist. there’s no way you’re not calling him about it.
“what the hell is this?” you asked, quieter upon hearing his groggy voice, knowing you had woken him up.
playing innocent, schlatt responded with, “what the hell is what?”
“this playlist.”
oh he’s most certainly fucked now. turning to lay on his back, he draped an arm over his eyes, part of him hoping that’d be enough to shield him from this embarrassing situation.
“just that. a playlist,” he responded carefully.
“well, yeah, but it’s, like...” you paused, searching for the right words.
“like what?” if he were sitting in a seat, he’d be on the edge of it, the anticipation killing him. he wasn’t sure if you liked it or not, your tone remaining mostly… curious.
“romantic. and shit,” you finally concluded, voice softer.
“yeah. what about it?” he was becoming defensive, ready for you to end your friendship right then and there.
but, you only chuckled. “it’s cute,” you teased.
okay. schlatt definitely wasn’t expecting that answer. he took his arm away from his face and moved it behind him, pushing himself to sit upright. eyes wide and face feeling hotter than ever, he responded, “c-cute?” he cursed himself inwardly for stuttering.
you chuckled again, “yeah. ‘s cute. i’d never expect something like this from you, schlatt,” - he didn’t know if that was a good or bad thing - “but i can’t say it’s unwelcomed. shall i make you a cheesy playlist in return?”
deciding you had enough fun with your teasing, schlatt gained confidence and responded, “only if you let me take you out on a date.”
“yeah? i’d love that,” your teasing tone was gone, a soft and genuine one replacing it.
“good. see you on saturday then?”
“see you then, big man.”
and with that, the call was ended. schlatt couldn’t help but stare down at his phone with a lovestruck expression, completely out of character for him, but he couldn’t help it. he felt a presence hop up on his bed and he turned to look at jambo, the culprit of all this, sitting there, looking at schlatt with his bug, dumb eyes. though he was the reason schlatt landed a date with you - someone he’d been pining over for a while, now - he couldn’t help but just -
“fuck off."

Tumblr media
it takes a while for you two to get together, just because niko wants to think things through and be sure he’s making the right decision, as well as him being naturally apprehensive about this whole dating thing.
when you do eventually start going out, keep in mind you're probably his first real anything, so-
niko needs to take it slow for the first month or so because he needs time to adjust and get used to being in a relationship.
when he gets comfortable around you, niko starts to talk a lot more.
niko starts to talk about his interests more-soccer, stem stuff (idc i'll die by my hc that he's a stem boy), etc. and niko's really happy that you're genuinely interested in what he has to say :)
and as your relationship progresses, niko becomes more inclined to share his inner thoughts.
“this song is so bad, i hate it and how it's everywhere,” like, babe that sucks, but what do you want me to do, take it off the radio myself? 😭
you find out that niko’s kind of a hater LOL, but it’s okay, because it means he can be himself around you <3 and the mini debates you have with each other are fun.
he’s someone you can take shopping with you if you need a solid second opinion.
“ikki, is this cute?” you niko as you adjust the shirt you tried on in the fitting room mirror.
“no.” he’s so straight up LOL. “the blue one from earlier was better.”
“this one?”
“yeah, that one. you look really pretty in it.”
ngl though, niko’s not much of a mall person. he'd just follow you around like a little puppy LOL, but he doesn't mind too much because it's for you.
communication is important to niko!!!!! he wants someone that he can have real conversation about the things that matter to him, so he rly makes an effort to have that kind of connection with you.
niko's naturally funny but he isn't aware that he is lol.
but when he does try, i feel like his humor comes in the form of sarcasm and dry wit. likes poking fun at you here and there with a lighthearted jab.
"you're so weird, y/n," is the most common one.
niko’s naturally closed off emotionally (male aquarius 😒) but i, personally, think he’d really try and push himself to be more open with you, especially if you expressed for him to do so </3
he'd be really appreciative of someone patient and understanding of the fact that he doesn't open up easily, though.
but eventually, you become the person closest to him- niko confides in you a lot, which he’s grateful for because he usually holds everything in.
not one for pda or other lovey-dovey things in public, other than the occasional holding of hands but behind closed doors, niko’s so soft around you, it’s like he’s a completely different person.
also, i feel like niko’s real handsy with you, i get the vibe he’s super touch starved 😭
although it does take him a while to get used to physical affection, once he has, niko cannot get enough. he’s always touching you when he has no real reason to.
(and because you're his first relationship, i feel like it’s just natural that niko’s going to be kind of clingy towards you.)
“you okay, ikki?” you ask as niko suddenly wraps his arms around your waist from behind, resting his chin on your shoulder.
“mhm,” he mumbles. “just wanna be close to you.”
niko likes when you sit on his lap when he’s on his computer. you can have your arms wrapped around his neck, your head resting in the crook of his neck, or you could just be on your phone or whatever, it doesn’t matter, niko just likes you near him.
you guys don’t really talk to each other when you do this, aside from niko occasionally checking up on you and asking if you need anything from him.
but other than that, you guys just enjoy each other's touch in silence. it’s one of his favorite things to do with you.
however, if you start kissing him in the middle of whatever he’s doing and keep it up for long enough, niko will drop everything to make out with you right then and there (also one of his favorite things to do with you).
speaking of kissing- you kiss niko first.
niko would try to plan your guys first kiss out because he wants everything to be perfect.
but, he ends up taking forever to execute it because he keeps overthinking and you can only wait so long before kissing him, so you take matters into your own hands.
his kisses are sloppy and juvenile at the beginning, but he’s smart and learns quickly what you do and don’t like.
likes being kissed on his jaw and forehead the most :')
if the team ever happens to see niko kissing you, they're gonna be so annoying 😭
"yooo niko's making big moves ‼️" "my son's growing up on me!😩" "good job *pats on the back*" and niko is red all over as he drags you away from them, muttering about how childish and annoying they are 😭.
but, they're all very supportive of you guys, even if they're embarrassing as hell 🙄.
they even give niko relationship advice- which luckily, he doesn’t follow (most of the time), because, let’s be honest, if you're getting unsolicited dating tips from a bunch of teenage boys, it’s probably bad 😭.
you’re the only person niko shows his forehead to. just know that having the opportunity to see it means that niko trusts you more than anyone else :’)
repay his trust by kissing his forehead lovingly and showering him with compliments whenever you can !!!!!!!!!!
“y/n, why’re you so embarrassing,” niko says under his breath, blushing as you hold his face and litter soft kisses on his forehead, rambling about how cute he is.
always looks for you in the bleachers when he has a game and you’re always the first person he talks to after.
and the fact that you make an effort to come as often as you can means sooo much to him. definitely considers you to be his biggest fan.
real classy with nicknames- uses “my love/love,” and “darling,” the most.
his favorite petname from you is "pretty boy." gives him butterflies each time he hears it.
the first time you call him that, he's confused, but after you explain that being called pretty is basically the highest compliment a boy can receive, he gets all soft on you.
only uses instagram to like and comment on your pictures and that's it 😭.
comments stuff like “you're so pretty” and "beautiful," without any emojis because niko refuses to use them LOL.
remembers the compliments you give him! they help with his self esteem and i feel like he values your opinion a lot.
so, tell him all about how cute and smart and talented and hot and funny he is and how much you love him and he'll replay it in his head 24/7.
i think he prefers to be the big spoon, unless he's sad- then he really wants you to hold him.
niko gives me homebody vibes, so expect relaxed dates, but still nice, yk?
what i mean is niko's not gonna take you out to get gas station food and call it a day 😭 he's classier than that and he always puts in effort towards dates.
he always plans them ahead of time and takes into consideration what he thinks you'd enjoy. and he insists on paying 🤗.
but, niko always does something special for days like your birthday or an anniversary, like go somewhere fancy if you wanted to or buy a nice gift you've been eyeing for a while.
helps you with your schoolwork, 100%. most of the time niko tutors you because he wants you to actually learn the material, but if you're feeling lazy and just wanna get it over with, niko will just give you the answers.
this is a big deal because i love him and all but, niko gives me the vibe he's super stingy with his work 😭.
"this is the last time i'm going to just give you the answers, y/n." niko sighs out. "you have to start doing your homework by yourself."
niko's said that dozen of times but he's still giving you the answers free of charge. can you guys say #whipped 🤣?
LOL speaking of school, if you ever text him during class, i highly doubt that niko would entertain you 😭😭 (it's out of love, though)
y/n 💗: hiii baby imy 🥰
pretty boy: do your work, y/n.
y/n 💗: ALL I DID WAS SAY HI
pretty boy: pay attention.
y/n 💗: fine ur so lame 👎
pretty boy: whatever you say. i miss you too, by the way.
he likes to moves your hair out your face because he wants to see your pretty face better.
which is why you have to do the same with him 🥰!!!!!! makes him blush like crazy.
gets soooo soft when you post him or even take pictures of you and him together :') just the thought of you wanting to show him off makes him soooo happy.
he won't entertain you if you make a tiktok, though LOL. he's very stubborn in his belief that it's stupid.
just stands in the background with his arms crossed if you try to make him do a dance or something 😭 (he does think you look cute, though).
niko has such nice eyelashes but i doubt he's aware of it 'cause he's, y'know, a boy 🙄.
"my eyelashes are ... cute?" he questions. niko wasn't even aware that such a trivial thing like his eyelashes could be considered cute.
"yes, oh my god," you gush. "they're so long and nice, i wish mine were like that," you groan, examining yours through the camera of your phone.
"you're so weird, y/n," he says, a blush staining his cheeks. "your eyelashes are nicer," he mumbles as he kisses your forehead.
he's one of those people that prefers to be alone, but you're the exception. you know?
niko likes to keep to himself most of the time, but that whole thing doesn't apply to you, because he'd choose to be with you over being alone anytime :')

________
Two Weeks Later
“Honey bun,” sang Jensen as he stepped into your home office you’d set up in the small reading room in the house. “Must you work today?”
“I do occasionally have to work on that drawing thing,” you said. He pouted and laid out on the daybed, picking up a copy of the third book. “Give me another hour to finish with these pages.”
“Can I hang out and watch you draw?” he asked.
“Knock your socks off,” you said. You picked up your stylus again and went back to your pad, Jensen sitting up and watching from the other side of the room. “You can sit closer if you want.”
He got up and pulled over a chair, crossing his legs in it.
“I basically draw using my stylus and this pad and it shows up on my laptop screen,” you said.
“We could get you a better screen, like your own separate work computer. I know your stories are picking up a lot of steam.”
“I’m okay for now. All I need to do is finish illustrating this book and my five book deal is done and ready for print,” you said.
“Can I make a request?”
“I would love to put in a giraffe for Zepp but the story takes place in the woods,” you said.
“Baby giraffe? Maybe just in the background?” he asked.
You backed out of your current page and went to the last two where the foxes and wolves were playing with their friends. You tapped on a tree and erased it, sketching out a loose shape.
“Look up a giraffe for me?” you asked. He tapped away on his phone and pulled up a picture. “Thanks.”
You drew a picture of a rough giraffe, softening it some before adding colors.
“You’re really good at that,” he said.
“The characters are easy. Backgrounds can get boring,” you said. You went back to your original set of pages and worked quietly, Jensen watching carefully. “Yes?”
“Just wanna spend time with you is all,” he said, resting his head on your shoulder.
“Okay, baby,” you said. You worked for another hour, Jensen asking the occasional question but mostly staying silent and close by. After you sent off the pages for review you turned to him, Jensen offering a soft smile in return. “All set with work for the day.”
“Awesome,” he said.
“Where’s the munchkins?”
“A movie,” he said. You ran your fingers through his hair and he leaned into it. “Tell me a secret.”
“A secret? I don’t think I have too many of those left from you,” you said. He opened his eyes and looked at you through his lashes. “What?”
“You said you got this on vacation,” he said, holding up his wrist, the bracelet you’d put on him two weeks ago still there. “When we were down there, I was talking to Ray and he kinda implied it wasn’t just a souvenir.”
“I was upset that day when he bought it for me. It meant I was safe was all,” you said.
“How long after did your mom…”
“A few months. She went on bed rest after that trip.”
“Y/N, I know when you’re holding back, honey. I would never judge or tell anyone anything. You know that.”
“You got hurt because you lost someone and you got hurt and it sucks right? But it’s kinda like something happened and then you heal from it right?”
“Yeah…” he said. “What don’t I know?”
“You know how anxious you were to get in the car and drive down to the beach?” you asked as he nodded. “You’ve never been afraid of a person, Jensen. It’s like that feeling...but everyday and you’re expected to live your life normally when you constantly have that over your head.”
He was quiet, glancing past you as the room grew darker from some passing clouds outside.
“Canada wasn’t the first time you saw your father since you were adopted, was it,” he said.
“You wouldn’t believe what a good lawyer and shitty laws will do for a piece of shit like that,” you said.
“You were a kid.”
“With zero physical evidence. Everything was circumstantial. So he got out and he came to apologize or some bullshit and Ray decked him.”
“The more I learn about Ray, the more I like him.”
“My mom kicked him in the nuts.”
“I really like that woman,” he said. You smiled and he moved his chair closer, pulling you into his lap. “I don’t mean to make you talk about your dad. I was curious was all.
He went to take off the bracelet when you put a hand over it.
“I don’t want to remind you of something bad, sweetheart.”
“Like I said, I was upset. Very upset and in public and I went down to the beach to try to hide away. Ray bought that for me and told me I was safe when he put it on me. All it means to me is that you’re safe.”
“What about you? What do you have?” he asked quietly. You cocked your head and moved your hand to rest over his chest. “Alright, sort of a dumb question.”
“Not dumb,” you said, trailing your fingers down his chest.
“Guess you’ll just have to stay as close as humanly possible.”
“I don’t have a problem with that,” you said.
“Do you have a restraining order against your father?”
“No but that’s only because Ray managed to get him kicked out of the country. He found some loophole law. He was born in the Yukon so technically he’s not American and he got him kicked back.”
“Scratch that. Ray is my new favorite person,” he said. “If only we could send him someplace we’ll never visit like...a deserted island. Or Hell.”
“I appreciate the thought but I’m not scared of him anymore,” you said. “I am however afraid our plans of lunch at the brewery are going to get rained out.”
“We can enjoy ourselves right here. I’ve never heard a complaint yet about my grilling.”
“You know what? I got the perfect idea.”
“Okay,” said Jensen, sliding the foil packet off the grill and onto JJ’s plate. You’d decided to have lunch on the grill, sitting out under the covered back patio off the playroom. It was pouring rain but you were plenty dry there. “Chicken, marinara sauce and cheese. Then we got chicken, ketchup and baby carrots for Arrow. Zeppy wanted to try barbecue sauce and onion which sounded good to me and then Y/N went for the salmon and lemon.”
You helped the twins open up their foil packets and get their food on their plates, dicing up the chicken for them before going to your own plate.
“Daddy,” said Zeppelin while he chewed on a big piece of chicken. Jensen hummed and worked on his own food. “Can we play race cars after lunch?”
“Sure,” he said, JJ shaking her head.
“I don’t wanna play cars,” she said. Zeppelin stared at her and his bottom lip wobbled. “You’re a cry baby.”
“JJ, that’s rude,” you said, Jensen glancing at you and nodding. “Apologize to your brother.”
“Sorry,” she mumbled.
“We’re gonna play cars after lunch and you’re welcome to join,” said Jensen. “Your brother goes along with what you girls want to play quite a bit so I think you can do the same for him.”
“I still don’t wanna play cars,” she mumbled.
“You play cars with the Padalecki boys all the time,” you said.
“Not little kid cars,” she said. “He doesn’t know how to play right.”
You saw Zeppelin getting upset again and sighed.
“There’s no wrong way to play,” you said. “Zepp’s littler than you. You gotta be the big sister and do what he wants sometimes.”
“Mom would have played dress up,” she grumbled. “Not stupid cars.”
“Enough,” said Jensen. “You’re old enough to know better.”
“I didn’t do anything wrong.”
“Your brother wants to play cars. We played horses all morning long and you barely let him have a turn at that so like I said, we’re gonna play what he wants and you are welcome to join us but if you don’t want to, you can play something else,” he said.
“Baby,” she said under her breath. Jensen didn’t catch it but you did.
“JJ you’re in timeout after lunch. Ten minutes,” you said.
“I didn’t-”
“You just called him a baby. You want to make it fifteen?” you asked.
“You’re not my mom! You can’t give me timeouts,” she said.
“Half an hour now,” said Jensen. She stared at him and he shook his head. “Eat your lunch.”
Zeppelin spent half of it crying quietly and JJ barely touched hers before she was following Jensen inside. You threw your head back and sighed before you went inside to get some tissues. When you came back out Arrow was hugging him tightly.
“Let’s clean you up, buddy,” you said as you squatted down beside them. She let go of him and you wiped off his face and helped him blow his nose. “Feel better?”
“We can play dress up,” he said. You picked him up and hoisted him on your hip.
“We’re gonna play cars. Arrow, do you want to play with us?” you asked. She smiled and nodded. “Hey how about you go wash your hands and then you can bring out the bucket of cars and we’ll play out here. How’s that sound Zepp?”
“Okay,” he said. Arrow went inside and you carried him around as you collected the trash and threw it in the bag you brought out. You tied it up and left it in the corner to put in the bin later before you you walked to the edge of the covered patio, rain coming down at a decent rate. “Y/N you’re my mom right?”
“I’m one of your moms,” you said. “I’m gonna adopt you that way everybody can know I am though.”
“Cool,” he said softly, resting his head on your shoulder. “Mom can we play in the rain?”
“Hear any thunder?” you asked. He shook his head. “See any lightning?”
“Nuh uh,” he said.
“Then we can play in the rain all you want,” you said. You walked out to the grass and spun around with him, getting a giggle out of him. “Did you hear that?”
“Hear what?” he asked. You spun around again and he laughed.
“There it is again!” you said. He giggled and you spun around a few times until you were dizzy and took a seat. He hugged you and kissed your cheek as you noticed Jensen leaning against the post of the patio. He was smiling and you hopped up with Zeppelin, waving him around in the air until you were back under cover. You set him down and he ran over to Arrow, picking out his favorite cars from the bucket and handing her some.
“Well that might have been one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen,” he said.
“You took a picture, didn’t you.”
“Oh several,” he said. He glanced back at the twins and then at you. “It clicked for you just now didn’t it.”
“Being a mom? Yeah.”
“You didn’t look to me on how to discipline JJ and you made him feel better and you made him laugh. You went full mom there and I’ve kinda been waiting for that.”
“I know it’s just playing they’re arguing over but I just hate...there is so much of you in him,” you said.
“I know and that feeling will never go away but it means you love ‘em and loving them is my only requirement for us working so this was actually a really good thing.”
“Those two are so sweet,” you said.
“It’s the twin thing. Oh what fun we have to look forward to when they are teenagers and they lie to us for one another,” he chuckled.
“Yeah but I’ll take it. Did you really give her a half hour timeout?”
“Fifteen minutes. She needs to share more and he doesn’t like confrontation so he goes along with what she wants but it’s not her road or the highway.”
“She’s been a little…”
“I know. Since we told them about the engagement,” he said. “We gotta talk to her on her own.”
“Let me take a crack at her first?” you asked.
“You got a hunch?”
“I don’t think having a mom again is a problem. I think the idea of losing a mom again is.”
“That makes sense considering she was attached to your hip before all this.”
“I’m gonna go see if I can get to the bottom of this. Now go play cars,” you said. He kissed your cheek and you headed inside, drying off some with a towel in the laundry room before you went up to JJ’s bedroom. You knocked and cracked open the door, catching her splayed out on her bed. “JJ. Can we talk?”
She rolled and put her back to you. You sat down on the edge of her bed and took a deep breath.
“You know your brother did what you wanted all day. You have to share,” you said. She didn’t say anything and you lay back on the bed, turning your head. She rolled back the other way and you sat up. She rolled again and you tilted your head back. “JJ do you want me to be your mom?”
“No,” she mumbled.
“Are you lying?” She didn’t move and you sat back, her face scrunched up. “Are you scared if I’m your mom something bad will happen to me?”
“I don’t want two dead moms,” she said.
“I have two dead moms,” you said. She blinked her eyes open and sat up. “My first mom, I never met her. She died giving birth to me.”
“You only had a dad when you were born?” she asked. You nodded and pulled her into your lap. “Did he get married again?”
“No. My dad was very mad my mom died. He took that out on me. He was a bad guy. He went to jail and I got adopted by my mom when I was your age. Ray was her boyfriend. He acted like he was my dad in a lot of ways. I was sixteen when my mom died. I understand it hurts, sweetie, and that it’s scary and you don’t ever want to feel like that again.”
“I thought if I was bad you and daddy wouldn’t...and then I don’t have to feel bad again.”
“I am so sorry honey but you can’t stop that feeling from never coming back. The only way you could not get it would be to not love anyone or anything and that’s not a life at all. It’s the price you pay for loving someone. Your mom was an accident. But Daddy is young and I’m even younger and I promise you will not have to feel that way about me for a very, very long time.”
“How long?”
“How about fifty years?”
“Fifty years? That’s forever,” she said.
“I’ll give you fifty years if I can be your mom and you stop picking on Zepp. Deal?”
“Okay. I’m sorry I made him cry.”
“I’m not the one that needs an apology,” you said. “Now do you want stay in here all by yourself or do you want to come play with us?”
“I can play?” she asked.
“Absolutely,” you said. You got up and carried her down on your back, setting her down to let her run off out to the porch. Jensen got up from his seat and held up a finger, ducking back inside to where you were.
“That’s what I like to see,” he said as she gave Zeppelin a hug and he handed her a car.
“I did have to promise not to die for fifty years.”
“Fifty? You got off easy. I had to promise a hundred after the accident,” he chuckled. “I should have noticed she was scared.”
“I have more experience being a scared little girl than you do. I got experience with letting people get close again too,” you said.
“How’s that working out for ya?” he smirked.
“He’s lucky he’s hot,” you said. He threw his arm over your shoulders and grinned. “Do you want to get married in the fall?”
“This fall?” he asked.
“Can we pull it off that fast?” you asked.
“Yeah. We don’t have to book a venue which is the hardest part. I don’t see why not. What’s the rush?” he asked.
“It’s easier to adopt them if we’re married,” you said. “I don’t really want to wait longer than we have to if that’s alright.”
“I’d say let’s go drive down to city hall and get a justice of the peace right now if I knew my mother wouldn’t kill me for it. How about I call up the lawyer and ask him to start prepping the paperwork as if we already were so it’s all set to go,” he said.
“You have a lawyer?” you asked. “They’d do that?”
“Y/N, honey. My taxes alone frighten me not to mention I own a business with employees and what qualifies as a business write off still confuses me and wait you don’t have a lawyer for your book deal?”
“Should I have one?”
“Greg is your lawyer now,” he said. “He’s good. He’ll do all the paperwork for us.”
“Oh good cause all the forms online were confusing the hell out of me,” you said. He shook his head and pulled you in close.
“Silly goose,” he said, a loud boom of thunder shaking the house. “Let’s get the crew inside before it pours.”
“Who wants to build a fort?” you asked that afternoon. JJ jumped up and down on the couch and Jensen walked in with an arm full of blankets and sheets. Three little hands shot up and Jensen lazily tossed the blankets on the couch, covering the three of them.
“Hm, where’d those three munchkins run off to…” he said, Arrow ducking her head out first, hair all in her face. Jensen giggled and she rolled her eyes, the other two climbing out. “Alright. I’m gonna grab clothes pins and a few more things. You guys start designing.”
You stood back and let JJ organize, figuring out her first choice of blanket for a roof was too small. Jensen returned with a bag of clips, some twine and the step ladder, wrapping his arms around your waist and resting his head on your shoulder.
“How they doing?” he whispered.
“Picking out the roof,” you said, Arrow rushing over and grabbing his hand as Zeppelin climbed on JJ’s back and held up a sheet over the two of them with one hand. You smirked and she let out another eye roll.
“Daddy, can you pick up Zeppy so then he can put the blankie up? I told them they’re too small,” she said.
“Sure,” he said. “Tell me where you want it to go.”
Twenty minutes later the family room was covered with sheets, tied off to the stairs, chairs, the ceiling fan after Jensen broke out the larger ladder to get up there and assured you it wouldn’t bring the whole thing crashing down.
“Can we sleep in here tonight?” asked JJ.
“I don’t see why not,” you said. “There’s plenty of room on the couch. We’ll bring down your comforters when it’s bedtime,” you said.
“Can we watch Cars?” asked Zeppelin, glancing at JJ.
“Okay,” she said. She gave him a hug and picked him up, Jensen smiling to himself as he looked on.
“Can we get pizza for dinner like a real sleepover?” asked Arrow.
“We did cook up all the chicken at lunch,” you said, giving Jensen a side eye.
“Yeah we’ll get one,” he said. “Why don’t you turn on your movie okay? We’ll be right there.”
You let Jensen pull you into the kitchen, smirking as he picked you up and sat you on the counter.
“Seems like today’s crisis has been averted,” you said.
“I’m sure they’ll go back to tormenting each other tomorrow but I’ll take it,” he said, reaching into the drawer next to you, pulling out a menu. “So. You interested in pizza?”
“Oh that looks interesting,” you said, taking the pamphlet out of his hand and tapping at a special. “One cheese, one speciality, boneless wings and garlic bread? My little carb loving heart is in love.”
“She’s not the only one,” he said, leaning up on his tip toes and kissing you.
“Are you coming?” groaned JJ from in the fort. You shook your head and Jensen kissed your neck, even nibbling before he pulled back. You smacked his chest and he set the menu down, giving you a wink.
“We’re coming in right now. Don’t wait for us kiddo.”
You woke up sweating, Jensen shushing you, arms wrapped around you. You took a deep breath and caught the clock said it was almost three. You turned in his arms and buried your head in his chest, his hand rubbing up and down your back.
“You’re okay. Bad dream is all,” he said softly. You nodded and started to relax, flinching when there was more thunder. “Hey, it’s okay. Nothing’s gonna get ya.”
The thunder shook the house and you tensed up. Jensen pulled the covers over both your heads and you crammed in as close as humanly possible when more thunder hit.
“Honey look at me. Please look at me.” You lifted your head and saw a horrible face in front of you, a scream ripping out of your throat.
“Y/N,” you heard as you woke up absolutely drenched, Jensen’s hands on your face. “Honey, talk to me. Can you hear me?”
“Night terror,” you said quietly.
“Yeah, JJ used to have them. I didn’t know adults could get them,” he said.
“Can I have a cold washcloth? And some water?” you asked. He got out of bed and padded into the bathroom in his boxers, settling back into bed and handing you the water. You drank it down while he wiped off your face and neck, running it over your head. “Thanks.”
“You okay?” he asked.
“Mostly feel embarrassed.” He frowned and you put the glass on your nightstand, staring down at your sweaty shirt.
“Should I call Ray?”
“It was a stupid nightmare. I’m fine,” you said.
“You were sat up eyes wide open and talking and shouting and I couldn’t wake you up,” he said. “I know adults really shouldn’t be getting night terrors so maybe something triggered you or something during the day.”
“I know my triggers and I know when it’s just a stupid nightmare. Back off,” you said. You got out from under the hot covers and went outside to the balcony, the air nice and cool from the storm earlier. The slide of the door was loud in the the quiet and you rubbed your arm. “I’m sorry.”
“I’ve seen you have nightmares. That was a lot worse,” he said.
“I thought I saw someone watching the house earlier.”
“What?”
“It was the neighbor’s kid, the teenager. It was his friend and he came over late but I thought...it freaked me out. That on top of thinking about the fact my father is not rotting in a jail cell most likely sent me over the edge,” you said. He walked in front of you, resting his hands on your arms. “I’m okay. Needed some air was all.”
“Alright. Tell me if something like that happens again?” he asked. You hummed and he gave you a kiss. “Okay, sweetheart. Let’s head on back to bed.”
“What do you mean?” you growled into the phone the next evening. Jensen lifted his head from his book in the family room and you walked away, stepping out to the private patio area on the side of the house. “That’s not possible.”
“It’s been fifteen years. He has every legal right to be in the country.”
“In the country! He got an apartment seven minutes from where I live!” you said. “I have little kids here, Finn. Tell me there’s something I can do.”
“I can get a restraining order-”
“That doesn’t mean shit to him. I need him fucking deported. I need him gone.”
“Y/N, you know me. I have never agreed to it but he paid his debt as it was assigned and he quietly followed the law. He did what he was supposed to and I’m sorry but until he does something, I can’t do anything besides help you and your fiance’s family get a restraining order.”
“So until he does something horrible again, I can’t do anything about it.”
“Y/N.”
“No Finn. I appreciate the heads up but...I have to go.”
You hung up and squeezed your phone tight. He knew where you lived. He was minutes away and there was absolutely zero help until something went wrong. You sat on a bench and bounced your leg. Nothing could go wrong. You couldn’t let anything go wrong. Who knew what the son of a bitch would do to any one of them.
You stopped bouncing your leg just as you heard the door open. You lifted your head and stood, spinning around to Jensen standing there.
“Everything alright?”
“Actually no.”
“Who was on the phone?”
“My ex,” you said, swallowing. You crossed your arms and thought of the things Jensen had told you about acting and getting in character and all that. You were gonna destroy him. Fuck you were going to end up shattering him into a thousand pieces he’d never put back together.
You couldn’t really lie just to keep them away from him, could you?
You saw Arrow run past in the house and made your face hard. Broken heart but safe kids was worth it.
“I thought you didn’t talk to him anymore,” said Jensen. You turned up your chin and he smiled. “You are the worst actress in the world. Who was it really?”
“I think we’re moving too fast and I want to take a break and I would appreciate it if you gave me my space to figure this out on my own.”
“Uh, what?” he said. You brushed past him and he followed you in, all the way up to your bedroom. You got out a bag and he flipped it shut. “What the hell is going on? Who was on the phone?”
“My boyfriend,” you said. He stared at you and you sighed. “You’re a great guy but I’m sorry. I can’t do the house and kids thing. I want to go see the world and not be tied down and you’re just...you’re too damn old for me.”
“I don’t believe you.”
“Maybe you should have trusted your first instincts when you saw me and Doug,” you said. He stared at you while you shoved some clothes in a bag. You slung it over your shoulder and he caught the backside of it. You took off your ring and put it on the table by the door, Jensen dropping his hand. “I just can’t do this anymore. It wasn’t you. I’m sorry. I really need to go.”

thank you so much anon 🥺 that’s so sweet of you to say. i’m sorry this took a while to write, but i hope you enjoy :)
“I’m telling ya, you’re not gonna beat me.”
“Yeah?” you said, then shoved at Atsumu’s arm. His cart on the screen went flying off of the road and he yelled in frustration.
“You’re cheating’!”
“Street rules, ‘Tsumu. Anything goes.”
“Physical violence wasn’t part of the deal.” He slowly gained speed as you crossed the finish line. You smiled as the screen scrolled through highlights of Atsumu falling off the map and getting hit.
He let out a frustrated groan and jumped on you, pinning you against his couch.
“I don’t like playin’ with you.”
“Why? Cause you lose?”
“A little.”
You ruffled his hair and he buried his face into your chest. He let out another groan, then propped his chin up on your sternum.
“I’ve got an idea.”
“Yeah? What’s your idea?”
He grinned.
“Wanna make a bet?”
You carded a hand through his hair.
“What’s the bet?” you asked.
“We play another three tracks. Whoever wins gets to be in charge.”
“In charge of what?”
He smirked.
“You know what.”
You raised your eyebrows.
“Can I distract you?” you asked.
“Yes, but I’m going to do the same. And you aren’t allowed to interfere with what the other person is doing. Offense only. No defense.”
“Oh, easy. I’m winning.”
He pushed himself off of you and braced his arms on either side of your head.
“How can you be so confident about this?”
“Because I’m very good at this and you aren’t. I’m going to win.”
“I wouldn’t be too sure about that, sweetheart,” he said. He ran a large hand up your side to gently squeeze around your neck. “I’ve got some tricks up my sleeve.”
You smiled.
“Prove it.”
He rolled his eyes and sat up.
“I will. Don’t cry when ya lose.”
“I don’t think I need to be the one worried about that, ‘Tsumu.”
“Shut up and let me start the game.”
You settled next to him as he opened up the game.
“What track are we playin?” he asked. You leaned over and placed a hand on his inner thigh.
“I don’t care. You choose.”
He glanced at you out of the corner of his eye.
“It’s cheatin’ to start early.”
“Says who?” You sat up on your knees and leaned in, placing a few quick kisses on his neck.
“You’re a pain,” he grumbled.
“You made the deal, babe. Now pick your stupid character.”
He grinned and you groaned.
“Not Waluigi this time!”
“What? I always play him.” He laughed to himself. “Scared the shit out of ‘Samu when we were little.”
“Fine. Remember that when you have to listen to his defeated yells.”
“So competitive. Are you going to be a sore loser when I kick yer ass?”
“You seem confident, babe, but the game is about to start and you haven’t even picked up your remote.”
“Shit!”
Atsumu scrambled to begin as you pulled ahead immediately, laughing as you went.
He shoved you a few times and managed to knock you off of the track once, but you maintained a comfortable lead.
“I don’t think I thought this through,” Atsumu said.
“Why’s that?”
“I can’t do anything while I’m playing besides push you around a little.”
You smiled to yourself and took your hand off of your controller.
“Are you sure about that?”
“I need two hands to play, stupid.”
You grinned and set your hand between his legs.
“Are you sure about that?”
“Jokes on you, now I’m gonna win,” he said. You began to rub him with your hand. He took a deep breath. “Keep that up and you’ll fall off the track.” You laughed.
“I don’t think I’m the one who needs to worry about that.” You steered with one hand and continued moving your hand against him. You could feel him getting hard quickly. He always was eager about this kind of thing. Your palm kept consistent pressure on him while your fingers shifted, touching him everywhere you could. He swore and leaned forward, like he was trying to speed up his cart with his mind.
“How the hell am I still behind you?” he said. You smiled and tilted the remote to go around a curve.
“I’m incredibly talented. Give up yet?”
“Absolutely not.” He cursed and fell off the track. You laughed as you rounded the curve to the finish line. He threw up his hands in disbelief and yelled. “How do you do this?”
You set your remote down in your lap and laid a kiss on his shoulder.
“I told you you weren’t going to win.”
“Bullshit. I’ve got you in the next two.”
“Sure you do, babe.” You reached over into his lap and started to unbutton his pants.
“Woah, what’s up?” he said, catching your wrist. You sat up so your eyes were level with his.
“No defense, Miya.”
His face screwed up into a frown and he moved his hand away. You finished undoing his pants and pulled down the front of his boxers.
“Doesn’t this feel like cheating?” he asked. You shook your head and licked your hand. He took a deep breath. “Not at all. You decided on a game. I’m just playing.” You wrapped your hand around him. He swore and made a frustrated face.
“Fuck you. Now I have to win.”
“Good luck with that.” You repositioned the remote in your other hand as the next race started.
Atsumu had a significantly harder time with this track. He ran into wall after wall and fell off the map repeatedly, all while trying to hold in small gasps as you slowly pumped his cock. You did as well as you could while having to keep a steady pace between his legs. It was so fun to watch him squirm, to see his thighs trying to close but realizing that wouldn’t help at all.
You passed the finish line first and pulled your hand away. He gasped at the lack of contact and turned to face you with frustration in his eyes. He opened his mouth to speak, but you cut him off.
“Before you say anything.” You held your hand up between you. “I have a proposal.” He raised his eyebrows.
“What is it?”
“We play an all-or-nothing round.”
He leaned away from you, unsure.
“What’s the catch?”
“New rules. I try to distract you. If you can win against the computer, you win the bet. You don’t, you lose.”
“You’re not playin?”
“Close your eyes.” You avoided the question and he hesitantly complied. You adjusted the settings and handed the controller back to him. “Go ahead and choose the track you’re best at.” He frowned and did as you asked. For the first time in a long time, Atsumu looked nervous.
“Comfortable?” you asked.
“I guess so.”
“Good.” You slid off the couch and settled between his legs.
“You’re kiddin’ me, right?”
“Start the race or I’ll accept my win.”
He inhaled deeply and pressed start. As the countdown began, you wrapped your lips around the head of his cock.
He inhaled shakily and began steering over your head. You closed your eyes and ignored the obnoxious sounds of music and rotating boxes. You didn’t hesitate in setting a quick pace, your lips making lewd noises as you moved. He tried to hold back and pretend it didn’t affect him, but when you ran your tongue around the head again he let out a quiet sound and his character nearly stopped moving.
You had to stop yourself from smiling as you continued, moving your mouth and tongue exactly the way he liked it and hearing him respond as unenthusiastically as he could. You’d never seen him so stubborn, so determined to not show how you affected him.
“Almost . . . done,” he groaned. You quickened your pace, just enough to throw him off. His hand fell from the remote into your hair and tugged slightly. You hollowed out your cheeks and his grip tightened. You were starting to think he might finish until you heard the familiar sound of the race ending. You pulled off of him and wiped your mouth. He stared down at you with pink cheeks and glazed over eyes.
“How’d you do?” you asked. He shook his head lazily like even he didn’t know. You turned around and looked at the screen. You smiled. “First place?”
He ran a hand through his hair.
“Pretty good for a guy gettin’ head.”
You smiled and kissed his leg.
“I have to agree with that.”
You moved upwards and straddled him.
“I think I’m okay accepting your win.”
His brows raised. He looked genuinely shocked.
“Are ya serious?”
You pressed a short but heated kiss against his lips. His hands settled on your hips. You pulled back and smiled.
“You won, didn’t you?” You leaned in so your lips were barely brushing his ear. “Now have your way with me.”
“Oh, fuck,” he whispered. He looped an arm around your waist and threw you down on the couch, following close behind.
You didn’t tell him you had adjusted all the settings to easy.

Time and Chance II
Characters: Kaeya, Xiao, gn!reader
Word Count: 2,702
Warnings: Swearing
Premise: Confessions are tricky things. Sometimes it takes week, maybe months, maybe years of building up courage for one to happen. And sometimes life throws the oddest wrenches in our paths.
In which the reader confesses.
Author’s Note:
Sorry for the lack of Zhongli. I feel completely awful currently and though I wrote part of his scenario it was really poor in quality so I decided to stick with Kaeya and Xiao. I’ll get to him and Keqing another time I promise. Also don’t worry this isn’t life or death I just need to sleep it off lol. I realize between this and my computer there’s always something and I feel a bit guilty about it. At least I hope everything’s up to par!
This also probably won’t get proofread tonight.
 I hope you enjoyed my extra fic for Valentine’s Day! To all the lovely people who requested prompts I will be getting to those next week. Have a lovely night and thank you so much for your patience!
Kaeya
Perhaps falling in love with Kaeya wasn’t the most original thing you’d ever done, but by the time you’d come to that conclusion you were too far gone to care.
You loved Kaeya, or at least you liked him a lot. As someone who looked up to the Knights of Favonius there was something intriguing about the man who was simultaneously one of its lynchpins, and a sort of rogue state of a human being. It didn’t hurt that he was stupidly good looking, and a bit of a smoother talker. Okay, maybe more than a bit, but you didn’t really mind that. It was nice to be flirted with sometimes, and Kaeya had the sense never to take it too far.
You figured that Kaeya was at least somewhat aware of your feelings. Though you never asked about it, it seemed somehow too brash. Instead you figured that, in the months that had passed since your friendship had begun – for you did see it as a friendship by now – Kaeya had become aware and decided not to comment on it, as to not hurt your feelings. Though you wouldn’t go as far as call it noble of him, you certainly appreciated it.
So this charade continued on. You two remained close friends, or rather close friends in your estimation. Kaeya continued to flirt and you continued to ignore your personal feelings. It was truly an odd song and dance, but it wasn’t one you were about to change, not willingly anyways.
It’d become a bit of a tradition to patrol together. Seeing as you were an adventurer yourself and Kaeya was, well, Kaeya, you two had eventually decided it was better to make one long patrol together than two shorter patrols apart. Besides wasn’t the rule safety in numbers?
It was an exceedingly boring patrol, and as it neared its end the atmosphere between you two grew from semi-serious to absolute buffoonery. Kaeya had challenged you to see who could pick the most flowers the fastest, then who could control their vision’s element the long, then eventually, seized by some divine genius, he suggested that you might see who could run the farthest on the walls of Monstadt without falling over.
“This has got to be the stupidest thing I’ve ever agreed to.” You grumbled good naturedly. “Don’t blame me if you go tumbling off and end up with a broken leg.”
“I trust you’ll lift me to safety before that happens.” Kaeya answered back, eyes alight with his daredevil proposal.
“My anemo vision isn’t your personal elevator captain.” You reminded him. Hauling yourself up on the walls so you were on the farthest side you flashed a thumbs up. Kaeya nodded.
“Okay. Three… two… one and three quarters.”
“Kaeya.” You huffed, eliciting a chuckle from the knight.
“Okay, okay. Three, two, one, go!” The two of you ran as fast as you could, scrambling up the turrets, too concentrated to talk. Kaeya was laughing though, and eventually you found yourself laughing too, thrilled by the recklessness you were indulging in and the freedom to be doing it with someone apparently as stupid as you were.
“I’m getting ahead~” Kaeya chimed. You scoffed, quickening your pace. Kaeya did likewise, and for a moment it seems you two were going to be running the entire wall in this position. That is before Kaeya slipped.
“Shit.” He cursed, waving his arms like a madman. This only lasted a few seconds before he truly tumbled off, heading towards the stone paved ground. You didn’t say anything, though your brain was screaming various incomprehensible things. You simply clambered off your perch, hands already outstretched, praying to the god Barbatos that you could manipulate air you couldn’t see.
Luck was on your side as it turned out, and your swirl of wind caught Kaeya before he hit the pavement. Gliding down you shook your head wildly.
“Great gods Kaeya you scared the shit out of me!” You knew that you were screaming slightly, but you couldn’t help it. The whole situation had riled you up, leaving you panicked and not fully in control of your emotions.
“I’m fine! Honestly I am. I’m only sorry I lost.” Kaeya chuckled, but his laughter was weaker than before and his expression was slightly shocked.
“It’s not time to joke around Kaeya!” You shot back. “You can’t be so reckless! I know that it was also my fault for agreeing to it, but honestly! What would Monstadt do without you? What would I do without you?” You paused then, realizing that what you said held certain implications you’d been hoping to keep under wraps.
“What do you mean?” Kaeya’s expression immediately became brighter. Figures he’d read the meaning into your words. Honestly the man was too emotionally intelligent for his own good.
“I meant was I said.” You replied, figuring that there was nothing else to say. The truth was all but out now. “I really don’t know what I’d do without you Kaeya. Now I’m going to tell you something I’ve been hiding for a while, and since I saved your life and revealed it in the process I just want you to take it seriously, okay? I’m not joking, and now that I’ve said it I want to make it explicit. I like you. Like, I like, like you. And I know that I’m just your friend and that you’ve probably been aware of it for ages, but it’s out in the open now, okay? You don’t have to reciprocate or anything, that’s not it. I just… want to let it out.”
You stared at Kaeya, trying to gauge his reaction as much as possible, unwilling to look away. Unsurprisingly the news hardly seemed shocking to him, but instead of his smile slipping from his face it only grew wider. “You’re kinda oblivious you know.”
“I – what?” You sputtered, slightly offended. This wasn’t where you expecting it to go. “I don’t expect you to reciprocate, but leave the teasing alone for now at least!” So much for calling Kaeya emotionally intelligent.
“You’re reading this the wrong way!” Kaeya held up his hands, before stepping closer to you. “I just can’t believe that you’ve been my friend this whole time, had feelings on top of it, and never noticed that I was just as interested in you. I mean I’ve been flirting with you for months.”
“You flirt with everyone.” You scoffed, although the argument seemed to hold a bit less weight when compared to the jubilant, slightly smug look on Kaeya’s face.
“You may be right about that.” He admitted. “But c’mon. I don’t flirt with them like I flirt with you. I certainly don’t take them out on patrol.” His expression turned softer then, and he shook his head. “I know that I joke around a lot, but I promise, I wouldn’t joke about this. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you though, that was a fault on my part.”
“So you mean I’ve been hiding my feelings all this time for nothing?” You deadpanned, feeling overwhelmed. The situation still seemed too good to be true.
“Sounds about right.” Mischief was creeping back into Kaeya’s voice. “But it’s all right now! Your prayers have been heard! So, since you were the one to admit your feelings, I’ll be the one to ask the question. Want to date?”
“Yes.” You replied, sure of your answer.
“Good.” Kaeya replied, before pulling you into a hug, one you gladly reciprocated. It had been a hell of a day, and while you wouldn’t relieve Kaeya’s fall for anything you felt somehow lighter, as if a great burden had been lifted off your shoulders. He liked you, Kaeya liked you. For you, for now, that was all that mattered.
 Xiao
Once you’d decided to admit your feelings to Xiao you’d immediately followed up that decision with the knowledge that you were going to have to break it to him slowly. You’d been friends with Xiao for over a year now, and though you were cautiously optimistic as to how the adeptus would take it, you still knew that he wasn’t the kind of person who would be at all comfortable with a sudden confession.
Confessing your feelings was in itself an act which required all the courage you possessed. You weren’t sure when you’d truly started falling for Xiao, it had come about so gradually. But before you knew it you had grown to love him. You loved the way he talked, the soft cadence of his voice though often impatient was still filled with enough softness to make your heart flutter. You loved how, despite all he’d suffered, he still retained a begrudging love for the world, especially Liyue, which he once revealed to you would always be the one thing he loved, even if he loved nothing else. You loved everything, his hands, his eyes, the way he walked, the way he kept going despite it all. You loved it so much it hurt, and now you found that your love wasn’t something merely to be pushed away. If the odds of Xiao rejecting you were almost 100 so be it, at least then you’d be proud of yourself.
You spent quite a bit of time mulling the whole thing over, before the answer struck you. Xiao refused the gifts you brought him after some of your adventures, and when you’d once asked him what he might accept he’d shifted his gaze slightly towards the side, one hand running itself through his hair. “…Almond… Tofu.” He’d admitted. You’d been delighted by the revelation at the time, promising yourself you’d learn to make it. And what was a better way to show your feelings than to do so now? Not only was it something he’d like, it was something you’d made yourself.
So you gathered all the ingredients, borrow a receipt, and set to work in Wangshu Inn’s kitchen.
Unfortunately you’d failed to predict how difficult Almost Tofu was to make. It’d been hours and you had nothing to show for it but dirty utensils, a scarcity of ingredients, and a few mysterious blobs that looked about two steps away from inedible. Leaning your head on the counter you let out a groan. Why the fuck did you think this was a good idea?
“What’re you doing?” A familiar voice broke through your reverie.
“Xiao!” You exclaimed, glancing around you. There was no use hiding the project, although technically nothing was looking even close to Almond Tofu right now. “I was, I was trying to make Almond Tofu. But I guess I’m no good at cooking.” You laughed, more than slightly embarrassed.
Xiao’s eyes narrowed, and he raised an eyebrow. Saying nothing he walked over to the counter. Grabbing a cloth he started wiping down the counter.
“What’re you doing?” You asked, slightly confused and extremely surprised.
“Teaching you.” Came the reply. “Come on, let’s start again. Have you washed your hands since your last attempt?”
If cooking was difficult without Xiao it was impossible with him. The whole time you couldn’t help butbe aware of his presence, the way he stood behind you, leaning forward ever so often. Once you hadn’t been mixing fast enough and he placed his hands on yours, pressing his chest against your back. Your grip had immediately lost all strength, and you were sure that Xiao was the only one actually working. His breath was warm against your neck, and his palms were warm and dry. It was all too much, and you spent the rest of the lesson only half paying attention, too wrapped up in his proximity to you.
Despite the distractions this batch turned out, well looking like Almond Tofu. You couldn’t help but smile when seeing the finished product. Even if you didn’t make it completely yourself, there was still something about creating that gave you a sense of pride. Even if you did need help from the person you were going to give it to.
“It’s done.” Xiao proclaimed, a slight smile of satisfaction on his face. “I hope you enjoy it.”
“Oh, well actually I made it for you.” You grabbed the plate and approached the adeptus. “I know you said it was your favorite, and the only thing you’d accept, so, I made it!” You smiled slightly, though inside you were a bundle of nerves. This was happening. Holy shit this was happening.
The surprise on Xiao’s face was evident, but he nevertheless took the plate. Grabbing a pair of chopsticks he pressed into the tofu, causing it to almost immediately separate. Taking a bite a smile crossed his face. “Thank you,” he said, “it’s very good. I’m surprised you remembered.”
“Of course I did!” You replied, voice slightly hurried. “And, um, well I’d like to tell you something.”
“What is it?” Xiao’s slightly concerned look returned. Setting the plate down he crossed his arms.
“Well… you see.” You glanced at the floor. “I know this will probably seem very sudden, and maybe not very proper; and I know that this is something that’s purely one sided, but the fact is I like you. I like you more than a friend and, well… yeah.” You finished, feeling as if you’d just spoken some utter nonsense.
Glancing up you noticed how rigid Xiao had gone. Mouth twisting into a nervous frown you shook your head. “I’m so sorry! I know that you aren’t really, well you’ve said you aren’t familiar with the way humans experience the world. And I don’t want to put you on the spot, that’s the last thing I wanted to do. I’m sorry it’s so shocking.” Glancing away you started worrying your hands together. This had gone so much worse than you’d expected it.
“I don’t understand,” Xiao finally spoke, dropping his arms to his sides, “I don’t understand why you’d like someone like me. I’m not a human, and in terms of adepti I’m far more cursed than most. You shouldn’t, you shouldn’t like some like me. I bring disaster.”
“No you don’t!” The objection came naturally to you, horrified as you were by Xiao’s view of himself. “You’re one of the most wonderful beings I’ve ever met, human or adeptal! You’re kind, and you try to understand the pain and emotions of humanity. And you never push your burdens onto others despite carrying such heavy ones. If that’s not the mark of a good person, well then I don’t know what is!”
“I still don’t understand.” Xiao said, voice softer than usual but just as matter of fact.
“I’m sorry I pushed this onto you.” You said, suddenly feeling a burst of regret, turning around you made to leave the kitchen.
“Wait!” Xiao’s voice was loud and slightly jarring, his hand caught your wrist in a grip that, while gentle, was still firm. You turned around, unsure what to expect. Xiao sighed, closing the distance between you two. “When I said I don’t understand, that doesn’t mean I don’t want to.” There was a pause as he collected his thoughts, looking down, shaking his head slightly. “I don’t understand how humans think, nor how they feel. But, when I’m around you I’m happy, happier than I’ve been in a millennia. And I want to be around you, all the time sometimes. I want to know more about you and I want you to know more about me. So, if that’s what you mean, then… I also like you.”
Xiao glanced back up towards you and your eyes met. You felt slightly floaty all of a sudden, as if you’d gotten very, very drunk. Everything was too sudden, your emotions had changed too quickly. But through all your confusion you understood one thing. Xiao liked you, he liked you. He wasn’t going to reject you or push you away. The thought was enough to bring a smile to your face.
“So you really like me?” You asked. Though you knew the answer now you still wanted to hear it again. Just in case.
“Yes.” Xiao replied, a smile once more adorning his face. “I like you.”
And that was all you needed to hear.

“Skye, come on! Why the hell did you drive off to the middle of damn nowhere?”
“Just trust me.” She says calmly as she parks the car, completely ignoring my outburst in the process. “And stop complaining, Y/N/N. I know you had another fight with your dad, so I know you wanted to be out of the city.”
“Fine, ok. But what is going on? I’m guessing Ward has no idea what you’re doing.”
“You’re not serious, right? You know he hates me doing anything remotely dangerous.”
“Not that I’m against going behind your boyfriend’s back, but what did you do?” I ask my, running my fingers through my hair.
“So, you know how Ward mentioned HYDRA’s top runner, Crossbones, the other day?” I nod. “Well, I got curious. We know nothing about him, and Ward thinks he can set a trap for him. I just, I just don’t want him to get hurt when I could have done something.”
“And you know if you did this at the Bureau, he’d find out somehow and stop you. Or Gonzales would.” Now she nods. “Alright, but I’m helping you with this. I’ve got a weird feeling about the whole thing and as your partner, it’s my job to keep you safe.”
“You worry too much.” She chuckles. “Besides, I’ll practically be behind my computer screen the whole time. Nothing’s gonna happen.”
“You’re right, I guess. Doesn’t mean I’ll stop worrying though. And why are you still with Ward?” I groan dramatically, causing her to laugh.
“Oh, be nice. He’s not bad once you get to know him.”
“I don’t know. Something about his arrogance just doesn’t settle well with me.” I shrug.
“You’re being over dramatic. He’s great!”
“He better be, he is dating my best friend after all. Now let’s find the next exit, I’m hungry!”
Her laughter echoes in my head as the car moves along the highway.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I stomp through the halls on a mission. The office was empty, and disturbingly dark and stuffy for nine in the morning. If he’s not in his office there’s only one other place I could imagine him in, his bedroom.
“Please, don’t kill me for this.” I mutter to myself before taking a deep breath and throwing the door open.
My eyes scan the room and zero in on the lump underneath the covers.
“Go away, Steve.” His usually pleasant rough voice is mixed with hints of sleep and something else. I can’t help it that my inner self finds it sexy while I try to stay concerned rather than turned on.
Now’s not the time for a daydream. Focus.
The door shuts with a soft click, giving him the impression ‘Steve’ left. You aren’t that lucky today. I’m no push over! My boot clad feet thud on the wooden floor as I march straight towards the end of the bed. With one strong grip at the end of the comforter, I yank the sheets off his body before turning towards the curtain clad windows.
“What the fuck is wrong with you?!” He screeches, trying to pull the blankets back up to cover himself from the cold air of the room. That was nothing. “Hey! What the hell is this, Rogers?” I pull the curtains open; the intense sunlight illuminates the room causing even me to briefly squint.
After successfully finding a single blanket to cover back up with, I notice the fact that Barnes had curled himself into a human ball in the middle of his mattress to block out the light.
“Oh, for fucks sake.” I groan, grabbing onto an edge piece of the fabric. “Get up, now!”
I try to yank it off him in one swift motion, again, but he’s faster than I thought. He springs up into a sitting position, latching on to the blanket I almost had off him, commencing a tug-of-war over the stupid thing. The muscles and veins in his arms flex and bulge, and in normal situations, I’d be impressed. But I’m getting irritated.
“You’re an absolute child.” I grunt as I fight with him.
“Let go, you heathen.” He counters.
At his command, I let go, causing him to fly backwards and bounce slightly on the mattress.
“Dangerous mob boss my ass.” I chide, crossing my arms as he just looks at me with disbelief.
“What do you want, Fury?” He groans, rubbing his eyes.
“Too much for you to comprehend at the moment but let’s start with this. How about you get your head out of your ass, get out of bed, and do your damn job?”
He scoffs, rolling his eyes.
“You wouldn’t understand, Fury. And you’re crossing a line here. Get out.”
“It’s Maximoff to you right now. And what don’t I understand, Barnes?” I ask, ignoring his other remark.
“You have some nerve, coming here, into my room. Now get out.” He growls, tossing the blanket away, exposing me to the fact that he sleeps only in a pair of boxers. Damn, suits really don’t do his body justice, but damn does he look good in either.
“You have some nerve thinking this doesn’t concern me.” I snap back, regaining my focus, glad he didn’t catch me staring or was too annoyed to notice.
“And how,” He starts, finally standing up and slowly walking towards me, “Does this concern you?”
His muscles bulge as he crosses his arms, stopping at the foot of his massive king-sized bed. Though, there is an unsway of his body, and the shakiness that was in his hands that doesn’t evade my attention. Where I once noticed stubble, an unkept beard lies in its place. His hair looks knotted, unwashed, and greasy. Overall, he looks like an absolute train wreck.
“How does it not? Furthermore, how does it not concern you?! Barnes when did you last have a full meal, let alone showered!?” I exclaim, looking him over more closely. I can barely see the fact that he’s lost weight, but it’s there, it’s noticeable. The lack of a hot shower is more than just noticeable though.
He scoffs again.
“This is none of your business. Leave.”
“Stop being so fucking defensive with me. And this is my damn business, or have you forgotten the deal you have with my father? With Brooklyn on uneasy ground, especially after losing their last leader, you’re a target for HYDRA to attack. Not to mention the threat of the other mafia clans. And you know damn well that if my father has any idea that your alliance will cost him more than benefit him, he’ll watch you be fed to the sharks. But it just so happens that his daughter is in your territory, which gives you just a bit more wiggle room. However, if you put me in danger, he won’t just watch, he’ll feed you to the damn sharks himself!”
“I know!” He yells, walking closer to me.
“Then start acting like it.” I hiss.
“You don’t understand!” He argues, throwing his hands up in the air.
“Understand what?!”
“I can’t do this without him!”
The room falls into silence, and I stare at him, stunned.
“Okay? I can’t do this without my father. Yes, he’d been preparing me for years. But I always knew I could get advice from him or help if I needed it, once I took over. But this, all of this. I don’t know how to lead my men; I don’t know how prepare us. I don’t even have time to grieve the fact my father, not my boss, is gone forever, and I don’t know how to do this without him.” He chuckles dryly, hands on his hips. “I told you, you wouldn’t understand.” And he’s turning away from me.
“You’re wrong.” I cringe at how shaky and quiet my voice comes out.
“What?”
“You’re wrong.” I repeat firmly. “To think I don’t understand.” The sting of tears forming in my eyes has me pausing to close them and take a deep breath.
When I open them again, Barnes faces me properly with a look of confusion and mild concern.
“No one knows exactly what to do in these situations. But from one ally to another, you have your training, and the people you trust to help you figure it out. And you have your friends. It might not always work the way you planned, but nothing ever really does. You aren’t the only one grieving the death of your father, the men also adored him. Keep that in mind.” I pause, watching him work through what I said to him. “But don’t you dare ever assume I don’t understand grief.” I sneer. “Or how to continue on with the weight of it constantly on my shoulders. You don’t know me. So don’t act like you do.” He gapes at me, like a fish. “Get your shit together Barnes, and get to work.”
I walk out of his room as quickly as I can, letting the door slam behind me. Two corners later and I finally let myself slump against the wall. I gasp for air I didn’t know I needed as I fight back the tears trying to escape. It’s been six months! It was just a stupid dream! Get it together!
When my breathing returns to normal, I pull out my phone. The message from the unsaved number glares at me as I ignore it, again, and type out a message to another party.
“Meet me at the shore this afternoon. More details will be given soon. Bring the info you have gathered and don’t tell the boss.”
The response is almost immediate.
“Understood. He’s getting antsy about the report...”
I groan to myself as I push off the wall. He’ll just have to wait longer.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The zippers of my backpack nearly shriek as I pull both of them together quickly. I’ve been frustrated with my more legal job before, but this is something different.
Why the fuck are they making me go to a check in with the case officer this early? A month! I’m supposed to have a month to gain traction and trust in the role they requested of me! They should know that it isn’t safe to possibly expose an undercover operative at all, why would they risk it this early on?!
I growl to myself under my breath as I lace up my boots, aggravated that they’re risking the objective of this mission. If I get made, my father will also lose the alliance, HYDRA might learn of my role in the government and go into hiding, and that’s a lot of fuck up that doesn’t need to happen. Gonzales better either know what he’s doing or have good intel for me.
I swing the backpack up on my shoulder, just as someone knocks on the door.
“Give me a second.” I call, letting the pack flop onto my bed.
I’m surprised to find Natasha on the other side of the door, waiting with her arms crossed patiently.
“Come on in.” I say before she can speak, nodding to the inside of my room.
She raises an eyebrow in suspicion but walks in anyways. She turns to face me just and the door closes.
“All I was going to say was that Barnes is requesting everyone to head to the warehouse, but I’m guessing there’s something else?”
I nod. “I got called for a check in.” I tell her with an eyebrow raised, not needing to tell her who I’m referring to.
“This soon?”
“I’m hoping to get something worth the risk for this, but my gut says otherwise.”
She hums to herself in thought as she processes.
“I can get you a cover this time.” She states sharply. “But they need to get their act together. The cover might work just enough, but there are still people in here who don’t trust you, yet.”
“They might never.” I shrug. “But I agree with your risk assessment. I’m prepared to chew out whoever it is.”
She smirks, then motions towards my door. “Get to the warehouse and leave your things here for now. I’ll make the arrangements.”
I give her a small smile before we’re both walking off in different directions.
The warehouse is packed with people, many of which I don’t recognize, all of whom are engaging in loud conversations. I begin to push my way through the crowd, though I don’t make it too far as I feel a hand grab onto my arm. When I turn towards the pull, Drax smiles at me, motioning for me to follow him. I laugh quietly to myself as people practically jump out of Drax’s way. When we stop, I spot Carol not too far away and walk over to her.
“For the record,” She says, not even looking at me. “This is odd for us too.”
“Is this everyone?” I ask, confused.
She scoffs. “No, there are still those on patrols or jobs that aren’t here. But I’m sure they’ll be brought up to speed, on whatever this is, later.”
I hum as an answer, my eyes scanning the crowd of faces, seeing who I’ll recognize. I just make out Rollins’ silhouette as the voices begin to fall silent. Barnes stands in front of the gathering on a small platform, Rogers and Wilson flank him on either side. He looked a lot better than what I saw earlier. His beard trimmed back to a five o’clock shadow, his hair washed, brushed, and tied into a small bun behind his head, and there was strength in his body showing that he was able to eat since I last saw him. If I hadn’t seen him this morning, I wouldn’t have believed anything was wrong in the first place.
Standing behind the three mafia men, I see Barton, the two Odinson brothers, and five other men and one woman that I don’t recognize. Natasha casually merges in with the group at the last second.
“Many of you have taken note of my absence recently.” Barnes starts talking, his voice booming across the warehouse, commanding everyone’s full attention. It sends a thrill down my spine that I suppress. “And I am aware of the rumors that have been spreading regarding such absence.
“I was reminded earlier today that I was as close to my father as he was with many of you, maybe just a little closer. And yes, I’ve been grieving. But that grief has not blinded me to the enemy that is still out there, just as it has not blinded you.
“The enemy that has let their guard down because HYDRA thinks it has weakened us!” Grumbles of disapproval make him pause. “But they have not weakened us! This clan, this family, is not weakened by the grief of our leader. We are angered, enraged, that they dare try to cross us.” He pauses, listening to the murmurs of agreement of his people. “They have no idea what awaits them. Since the fall of George Barnes, they’ve expected us to kneel before them, begging for mercy. But they will be the ones begging. Their days are number because we will find them, and we will bury every last one of them as we watch HYDRA burn!”
The men begin to shout out their support, the roar almost sounds deafening to my ears, but I follow their lead, yelling with them. Barnes holds up his hand, and the crowd silences.
“Get a move on. We have work to do.” The warehouse erupts in applause, shouts of affirmation, threats to HYDRA, and anything of the sort.
The men begin to clear out of the warehouse, and Carol motions for me to follow her before walking towards Barnes.
“It’s good to see you again, boss.” She tells him with a smile, one he reciprocates before glancing at me. “I was wondering if I’d be able to take new girl around for a drive. Just to show her around our territory.”
“That’ll have to wait, Danvers.” Natasha cuts in, before turning to me. “Let’s go.”
She’s walking away before Barnes or Danvers, who both share a curious glance with me, can say anything. I only slightly hesitate before hurrying after her.
“Thank you.” I mutter once we’re out of the warehouse.
“Don’t thank me, yet. The boss will have questions.”
“Hopefully it’ll be worth it. If it isn’t, I’m gonna chew out whatever unlucky soul is sent.”
“I have no doubt of that.” She replies, and I can hear a hint of a smirk in her voice.
We near one of the doors that serve as an exit to the base, and I see my backpack sitting at the bottom of it.
“Know you way around?” She asks as I swing the backpack over my shoulder.
“Well enough. It shouldn’t be too hard.” I say, shrugging.
“Good. If you do get lost, call me,” She hands me a piece of paper with a number on it. “And I’ll sent someone for you. Good luck.”
“Thanks.” I nod, folding the paper up and slipping it in the back pocket of my jeans.
She nods back, then walks away. I take a deep breath before throwing the door open and walking out in the direction of the nearest subway. When I’m a decent way away from the warehouse, I pull out my phone.
“Brooklyn Bridge Park, Pier 2, two hours.” I press send on the text before placing a call, one I admittedly should have done earlier.
“About damn time!” I cringe at the tone in his voice but carry on as if I didn’t piss him off.
“I thought I wouldn’t have any contact with the Family. But everything’s going well. There was a slight issue, but I handled it and everything’s back to the way it should be.” I say over the noise of the street traffic.
“What issue? And why are you calling in public?”
“I was called in.” I grumble into the phone.
“Already?”
“Yes, but I swear if this is a waste of time, whoever I’m meeting is getting an earful.”
“I’d be concerned if they didn’t. But what issue?”
“It’s been fixed, it doesn’t matter, but I need a copy of the contract.” I state firmly, hopefully distracting him from the other thing.
“Y/N, you know-”
“Father!” I take a breath, so I don’t start arguing with him in public. “I need that copy. If I’m going to be doing this, I need to know every single condition, and every term.”
The other end of the line is silent, and I know he’s thinking things over.
“Alright. But in turn, when I ask for an update, you give me one that fucking day. Understood?”
“Yes.” I mumble, hating feeling like a scolded child.
“Good.”
“I’m getting on the subway, I have to go.”
“I expect an update tomorrow.”
“Yes sir.” I hang up the phone and let out a deep sigh before walking down the stairs.
As the subway approaches, my phone chimes and I glance at the text.
“Understood. I’ll see you there.”
The meeting place my case officer chose, a quaint little coffee shop, is two blocks away from my stop. The amount of people on the sidewalks has me wishing for my bike as I squeeze in between people, and there are several times I wished to shove the slow walkers out of my way when I couldn’t pass. Honestly being stuck in traffic was a bit more enjoyable to being stuck behind of group of gossiping women.
I come up to the corner of the street, where the shop is located, and spot its cute little sign. As I cross the street, I happen to take a glance in the window and immediately find a face I recognize.
“You got to be shitting me.” I growl to myself.
The door chimes as I walk through, and I head towards the table.
“Fancy seeing you here.” I grumble as I take a seat, using the heel of my boot to put pressure on the toes of his foot.
“Right, well,” He coughs, covering up a wince as he pulls his foot away from mine. I smirk to myself. “Considering I called for this, I’m not really surprised.”
“Ward, you son of a bitch.” I hiss, quiet enough not to draw attention, as I kick his shin sharply. “You’re an idiot. You better have a good reason for doing this Grant.”
He visibly winces and adjusts himself before clearing his throat to address me.
“As your case officer, I don’t need to explain this to you.”
“You do when you compromise my position. This was way too early!” I hiss before clearing my throat, remember not to cause a scene. “Do you have information for me or not?”
“We’ll get to that in a second. Look, if Skye was still alive, she’d want-”
“Yeah, well she’s not here. How does your new girlfriend, what was it, Kara, feel about you still being hung up on your dead ex?”
“Do not bring her into this.” He hisses, before straightening up and burying any hint of annoyance until there is barely any emotion visible on his face. I hate when he does this, it unnerves me how easy it is for him each time. “Here.” He states before putting a thin file on the table for me to grab. “This is everything that we’ve been able to find out about them recently.”
I swipe it off the tabletop and gently toss it into my backpack, without opening the folder.
“Hopefully, I don’t see you again anytime soon. This better not become a regular thing with you.” I mumble before getting up and ordering a cup of coffee to-go.
As I walk out of the store, I almost bump into a blonde woman that was on her phone. Luckily for both of us, the coffee didn’t spill. After a few seconds of hurried apologies, and foreign curse words on her end, I hurry to the station, hoping I won’t have to wait that long for my ride.
When I get to the park, I decide to wander around for a little bit. It feels good to be out in fresh air inside of being inside a building for the entire day. The clouds look fluffy and soft, the breeze is cool on my face, and the sun feels just warm enough to enjoy without sweating to death. I stop once I get to Pier 2 and just find myself leaning on the railing of the pier, looking out onto the river and the skyscrapers on the other side.
While I wait, I decide to enter Natasha’s number into my phone, then letting the piece of paper fall into the water of the river, the safest way to dispose of it. After I can no longer see the white of the paper, I return my gaze to my father’s city.
“It’s been a while since I’ve seen you like this.”
“Like what?” I ask, looking towards the voice.
“Content. Happy, even just a little bit.” She says with a small smile while moving to stand beside me.
“It’s the little things like this that make me happy, May. It helps me forget about the mess that is my life, even just for a few minutes.”
She hums and we just stand in silence for a moment.
“What have you been able to find?” I ask, breaking the silence and going into business mode.
“Not much. I doubt it’ll be much help to you.”
“A little may be what I need. I still have some of her research. At this point I just need anything on him.”
“Having nightmares about her again?” She asks, concerned.
It causes me to smile, even just a little bit. Sure, my father hired her, but she has always remained loyal to me, more so than to the family. Though, I have no doubt that if she had any concern about me, she’d go talk to my father.
“More like memories. Still, they leave me feeling restless because I haven’t been able to find a lead on this guy. Skye was getting close, I know that. Which is the only explanation as to why she was killed.”
She hums again. “Still not planning on telling your father?”
I scoff. “After he basically called me paranoid for looking into Ward? No. If he finds out I haven’t let this go like he thinks, he’s going to ask questions. Questions I’m not ready to answer. Not only that, but if he finds out I contacted you while on assignment, I’d get my head chewed off. I’m technically not even allowed to contact him, yet here we all are.”
She nods with a slight chuckle, then pulls a file out from underneath her jacket and hands it to me.
“I’ll keep checking in with my contacts on the street to see if anything new about him surfaces, but until then, this is all I have.”
I stare at the closed file for a moment, before sliding that into my backpack as well.
“Thank you again, May.” She smiles briefly before nodding.
“You should get out of here, before anyone questions why you’ve been gone for a while.” I nod and push away from the railing. “Oh, and Y/N?” I turn back around. “Stay safe.”
“You too, May.” I call back, walking away.
A flash of blonde hair in the corner of my eye has me pause for a second, but when I see nothing, I shrug to myself and keep going. It must have been in my head.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The door to my room shuts and I feel my body sag from the exhaustion of the day. I let my backpack slip to the ground with a soft thud and shuffle towards my bed. When my back meets the cool sheets of the mattress, a deep sigh escapes my lips and I close my eyes, finally enjoying a bit of rest. But, there’s a knock at my door that has me groaning loudly.
“Of course.” I grumble under my breath.
When I open the door, I’m very surprised to find Thor standing on the other side with a slight scowl on his face.
“Follow me.”
I do so, hesitantly, letting the door slowly click shut before catching up to him. The walk is silent, and for some reason, I feel uneasy for the first time since I walked in here. He leads me through the halls, and I find myself recognizing where we are going. James Barnes’ office.
Thor opens the door and motions for me to step inside, and I do, trying to maintain a façade of confidence. And I’m grateful for it, because the glare Barnes wears as he watches me enter almost has me reeling backwards. He sits behind his desk, looking regal, deadly, and in charge. No trace of friendliness shows on his face.
What really throws me for a loop is the petite redhead curled on his lap, her well-manicured nails raking through his hair in almost a possessive manner. The sight makes something churn uncomfortably in my stomach, and by the smirk on her face, she knows it too.
I look away from her, finding Rogers and Wilson in their places behind Barnes, leaning against the wall. Natasha stands off to the right, near the only window in the office.
“Dot, leave.” He says stiffly, not removing his gaze from mine.
“But Bucky Boo-”
“Now.” He growls, ignoring her high-shrieked protest. This is the infamous Barnes I’ve heard about on the streets.
She huffs in irritation, untangling herself from Barnes’ lap and starts stomping out of the room like a child throwing a small tantrum. She brushes past me, giving me the death glare on her way. I simply raise an eyebrow at her retreating form until the door shuts behind her.
“Lovely person, Bucky Boo.” I mutter under my breath, turning back around. “I haven’t looked at the information I was given, yet. I only just got back to the compound.” I say to Barnes, assuming that’s what got him so miffed.
“How was the meeting?” He asks, completely ignoring my remark, irritation still evident.
“I wanted to shove Ward’s head through the window only a few times. So, fairly well, I guess. Still pissed off he’s assigned as my case officer though.” I shrug still not seeing the point of this.
I see Barnes’ eye twitch and hear the soft click of the door closing. I turn around to see the blonde that I almost walked into on the sidewalk from earlier, and everything falls into place. With a click of my tongue in understanding, I turn back around towards Barnes.
“You had me followed.” I state.
“Yelena Belova, Nat’s sister, was sent to keep an eye on you. Make sure you stayed safe.”
“Hmmm. Interesting.” I hum towards the ground, frustrated that I didn’t see that coming earlier, as my hands find purchase on my hips, my nails digging into the fabric of my shirt.
“Imagine my surprise when I got a message saying you weren’t on your way back after the drop off, but was going to meet someone else.”
“Yeah, and I’m not telling you why.” I fire back stubbornly, my hands still on my waist.
Barnes blinks rapidly, shocked, because I didn’t deny it, that I said no to him so easily, or maybe because of something else completely. Whatever the reason, he recovers quickly. A scowl now twisting up his features.
“We had a deal with your f-”
“I’m not the one that needs reminder of that deal, it seems.” I snap. “What I did today, was for reasons you aren’t entitled to.” His scowl deepens. “Now, I could give you some information about it. If you were to tell me something in return.”
“And what’s that?” He growls, but willing to play my game.
“The last crate I picked up on my assignment.” Recognition dances over his eyes. “Yeah, it’s about that. Tell me what was in there because I know for a fact it wasn’t the shit on the manifest. That was just a cover. You tell me what the shipment was, and I’ll tell you what I was given.”
He clenches his jaw, but doesn’t say a word. I wait for a moment before nodding, more to myself than him.
“You’ll get the info the Bureau sent me, once I make sure it’s actually useful.”
I turn and exit the office quickly, no one saying a word to me before the door closes. My nails dig into my palms as I stomp back to my room, pissed off at the day I’ve had. My door slams shut, and I begin pacing the floor of my room. Anger flows through my veins like a fire that can’t be stopped. I had at least thought I was gaining some ground with Barnes and even some of the others, but apparently not. The only reason he let me go free is because of that stupid deal.
One thing’s certain after tonight, though. James Barnes is not to be trusted.
After wrapping up with Dabi you had to find some excuse to email your professor. Ultimately it came down to you your cat jumping on your computer. But, you really didn’t have much time to worry about that before he was pulling you into the shower. He took his time washing you up and planting tender kisses on your skin. You couldn’t help but cling to your man as your knees were still weak from your scene. Dabi had to ‘work’ but you really know that means he needed to ride around and hit licks. He always gave you the choice of coming along or staying at the house and more than likely you’d go. It was fun to ride around with a boyfriend that was the plug while anticipating the return of your dreamy college boy.
“ You coming with me today, or you stayin’ in?” He asked wrapping you up in a towel and placing you pert on the bathroom counter. Dabi took his time to put toothpaste on both your and his toothbrush and handed you yours.
“ I don’t know.” You said kicking your feet. Dabi rolled his eyes before spitting into the sink. But in your defense it was a tough decision riding with Dabi was always interesting,sometimes you wondered who were these people that he sold too? But you knew that Keigo plans for you. Your train of thought was derailed by your impatient boyfriend.
“ Are you gonna stay here and wait for Keigo, or do you want to come with me and see him when we come back?” He explained with a hint of annoyance in his voice.
“Do you want me to come with you?” You teased although you’d made your decision mimicking his actions of spitting in the sink.
“Don’t be a brat.” He warned. “ Matter of fact you’re staying here I don’t need your bratty ass in my passenger seat tempting me today. I like it when you’re a good little assistant. Keigo will take care of that.” He said. The two of you finished brushing your teeth and he rushed to get ready while you simply put on a pair of shorts and a t-shirt.
Dabi got dressed in the usual white v-neck, black jacket, and jeans. He made sure to leave you money to get whatever you wanted to get and gave you and kiss on the forehead. You knew he’d be back sometime tonight so you didn’t worry too much because he always came back. In the meantime, there was perfect blonde with golden eyes that was due home any second and you couldn’t wait. It wasn’t too long before Keigo returned, it was Friday and he didn’t have any more classes.
Not long after your pizza arrived and you finally found something to watch you heard keys in the door. It was only a few minutes after Dabi pulled off, it was either him forgetting something or Keigo's test was a breeze. Much to your surprise it was Keigo he always took like the max amount of time on his test. He was delighted to see you perched on the sofa.
“ Keigo!” You chirped upon his arrival.
“Hello, my songbird.” He huffed the exhaustion seeped through normally chipper tone, before he threw himself on the sofa.
“How was your test?” You asked, twisting your blanket nervously.
“It was bullshit.” Keigo answers. “But at least it’s over now and there’s pizza.” He said, kicking his feet up on the coffee table.
It was quiet for a while as the only sound was that the dull roar of the tv. You weren’t even paying attention to the movie anymore because every twenty seconds you gazed over to your boyfriend sitting at the other end of the sofa, not paying you any mind. The longer he sat there scrolling through his phone the needier you grew. You had been waiting on this return all day just the be ignored. You could feel your bottom lip poking out as your eyebrows stiffened into a straight line.
Still, without paying you any mind Keigo picked up his backpack and started rummaging through it. Eventually, he pulled out a zip-lock baggie filled halfway with special flowers, following that came a pack of Honey backwoods and another pack of Russian cream’s. Those were for Dabi. You sat there and watched him roll up, the way that he could lick a wood to perfection always intrigued you. He sent you to fetch him a lighter and reluctantly obliged. One he sparked it and hit it a few times then he passed it to you. You didn’t smoke nearly as much before you met Dabi but it started getting out of hand when you moved in with him and Keigo, you were beginning to act like them smoking yourself stupid everyday.
He looked so good when he was smoking. The way he effortlessly inhaled the clouds of smoke. The two of you passed the wood until it was a stinger. Your eyelids felt like weights. Smoking always made you horny and you were already in anticipation waiting for Keigo’s return. You sat there feeling as if you were moving faster than the world around you. It was like you were hyper fixated on trying to figure out what he was thinking, was he doing it on purpose, or were you just that horny?
“Are you high Princess?” He asks with a laugh, breaking you out of thought. What kind of question was that? Of course, you were. All you could manage a nod and chuckle. “That’s good.” He began. “You know if I fail my test it’ll kinda be your fault.” He said with a laugh looking over to you.
“My fault?!” You scoffed dramatically.
“Yeah, your fault, the only thing in my head during the whole exam was you.” He leaned over to roughly knead your breast. ”And every time I tried to solve an equation all I could hear were your whorish moans in my ear.” He explained.
“Oh shut up.” You said snatching yourself away from his touch.
“I’m serious, and the worst part was I got a boner in the middle of it so then I really really couldn’t focus.” He didn’t spare any detail retelling the agony he was in. “But now I’m home with you to put my out of my misery.” A deviant smirk crept across his face before he forcefully tugged your shirt causing your body to fall forward. There was an unmistakable lustful fire in his eyes.
He abruptly left the couch returning with a white box with pink lettering. A gift? Or at least you thought it was a gift but that theory was debunked when you saw Keigo tear into the box himself. Seconds later he unceremoniously revealed a pink and white Hitachi wand, it was custom with your name monogrammed on the handle. It was nice and you wished that he would let you have it but you knew for a fact that wasn’t happening but he could at least show it to you. And he did eventually, looking at the toy excited you even more, and at this point, it was teetering on the brink of torture. Maybe this is what Keigo was talking about.
He told you everything about the toy, it was rechargeable, wireless it had 14 different modes and it was special, he ordered it just for you. You stared up at him wide-eyed practically begging him to play with you, yet still he was acting clueless. By now you had figured out that he was doing it on purpose it wanted you desperate, you were typically too shy to beg but the boys were known for pushing your limits. Keigo locked eyes with you and the two of you shared an intense gaze you wore the looking of longing plainly on your face, silently submitting to him.
“Do you wanna try it?” He asked nonchalantly.
“Yeah.”
“Me too but I have an idea.” He began and his sadistic smile returned. “I’m gonna edge you, yeah that’s what I decided until I get my test scores back depending on what I get we’ll see when I let you cum.” He explained. It was like he had it all figured out. Like he had been planning it. Perhaps that’s what he had been so quiet since his arrival.
You were still up in the clouds but his idea had brought you back down to Earth surely there was no way that he wouldn’t let you cum for who knows how long and there’s no way that Dabi would be able to hold you to it, or would he. That sadistic motherfucker will probably love the idea, anything that would turn you into even more of a needy bitch. You still hadn’t replied, the idea was just sitting in your mind, there was no way that you could tell him no just look at that face, besides he wasn’t asking anyways.
“Oh but I still want head.”
“How is that fair?” You whined.
Meanwhile, Keigo got up from the couch once again. This time he came back with the bondage tape. What the hell was going on in that barbarous mind of his. Suddenly you felt his grasp on your arm pulling you right into his lap.
“C’mere.” was the only warning he gave.You could feel his erection through the bearly there material of your shorts. A small whimper fell from your mouth at the friction, not to go unnoticed.
He made quick work Undressing you, it was a miracle that you never wore underwear in the house or hardly at all for that matter. Instantly his attention focused on your leaking slit. “ Oh my God look at your sloppy little cunt.” He said swiping the pads of his fingers over your clit causing you to shutter in response.
Keigo was sicker than Dabi he liked to torture you but he truly got off on pushing your limits Dabi just got off on the idea of humiliating you. He rested his hand on the top of your tummy lightly tapping his fingertips on your skin. A subtle arch of you back was giving away just how needed you were. Continuing his teasing he ran his fingers over your slick core. After he’d gathered a good amount of your fluid on his fingertips he brought his fingers to his mouth, tasting your arousal. Your hole quivered in response, but the real kick was when you found his wet fingers resting in your bottom lip. Obeying his request you sucked his fingers into your mouth tasting the mixture of your fluids.
He praised you with a smile before he pulled off a strip of tape. Lining the head of the Hitachi up with your clit he taped it into place, he added another strip of tape at the bottom of the wand securing it in place. Then he turned it on low and the small vibrations began to stimulate your cunt and you pulled a lustful face.
“Remember little bird you aren’t allowed to cum.” His eyes darkened before he spoke again. “You don’t wanna find out what’ll happen if you disobey me.” He finished, you nodded your head in agreement. It wasn’t enough for him he locked his hands in your curls pulling your head back and allowing your mouth to fall open. “Do you understand me?”
“Yes Sir.” You gulped as Keigo turned up the vibrations. Now they were a bit intense and you found yourself involuntarily bucking your hips every now and then.
“Perfect” Keigo agreed before sliding you off of his lap. He pulled out his already stiff dick, the tip was red, oozing with precum and your favorite part, decorated with a red titanium Prince Albert piercing. You licked your lips upon laying eyes on his member, someone’s hungry. “C’mere then you little slut.” He said roughly grasping the back of your neck to bring your mouth to meet his dick. “Keep your legs together, gotta make sure we keep that nast clit stimulated.” He said with a chuckle.
You were a superb cocksucker, Dabi made sure of that. So Keigo didn’t really have to do much. He just sat back and relaxed as your head bobbed up and down. Lewd noises began to fall from his mouth, it was like the vibrations from your pussy turned into moans around his dick. A heavy hand rested on the back of your head as you continued working away, Keigo then snaked his hands between your legs turning the vibrations up to the max. You gagged on his dick at the sudden change of intensity, the hand on the back of your head became more forceful pushing you down on his cock while his hip rutted into your face.
“Yeah just like that princess. Keigo praised. Your pussy was gushing by this point, throbbing and clasping down on the emptiness you felt. The low guttural moans turned into lustful whines. Keigo withdrew his dick from your mouth with a pop just in time to paint your face with hot thick ropes of cum. That mixed with the slobber made you into a perfect mess. You were still mewling at the vibrator stuck between your legs to overcome with pleasure to think. “Now let’s see how much of a mess your pussy is now.”
He had you lay on your back legs spread finally allowing the Hitach to ease off of your clit. The toy still buzzed frantically Against your inner thigh causing ripples in the soft skin Keigo ran his fingers over your clit once more and you shuttered hard at his touch. “Sensitive now aren’t we?” He laughed, still brushing light circles on your clit bringing to the edge rather quickly.
“Please, Sir.” You moaned. “C-can I c-uuummm please sir.” You said gripping the sofa cushions underneath you.
“There’s no time sweetheart.” He said, pulling out his phone and unlocking it quickly before Turning it off and putting it back into his pocket. “Dabi’s almost home, go wait at the door for him. I want him to see my masterpiece.” He said with a smug grin.
~~~~~~~~~~
Dabi walked through the door and he was visibly taken back by you sitting at the door waiting with a full face paint and a vibrator attached to your leg, Jesus Keigo. Dabi was disappointed that he wasn’t creative enough to think of something like that. He felt his cock twitch instantly in his jeans upon laying eyes on you. It was like something that he could only dream of. How did Keigo get you to agree to something like this?
“Hi, beautiful.” He said looking down at you on your knees before him with half lidded eyes and his forehead cocked back trying his best to conceal his excitement. “Looks like you got a neat little face paint going on here.” He said, examining Keigo’s work. It took seconds for Dabi’s cock to be straining against his zipper.
“D-addy.” You whined as the Hitachi was still pressed to your aching cunt. Keigo finally spoke up from the corner of the room.
“A doll isn’t she?” He was wearing the widest grin.Strolling proudly over to Dabi he created him with a kiss. Your black haired boyfriend gripped the blonde's jaw asserting his dominance in the interaction before pushing him away. The blonde stumbled backwards itha a grin on his face. Your hole shivered from the ongoing vibrations and the hotness of the scene in front of you let out a loud lewd moan uncontrollably, throwing your head back.
“Yeah a twisted like doll.” Dabi answered.
“ I’m edging her. Think she can take it?” He explained regaining his balance strolling over to pat your head.
“Oh, this princess? No way.” He said nudging your knee with the tip of his boot. Your face was buried in Dabi’s crotch while two men just chatted about you as if you weren’t in the room.
Keigo whisked you away to the living room with Dabi in tow of course, the pervert was going to watch. Keigo laid you down pressing your knees apart, shoving them up towards your ears. Your sensitive bud was temporarily relieved from the vibe. He was inspecting you, he could see your clit jumping from the overstimulation.
“Dabi looking, she’s dancing.” Keigo cheered. Dabi came over to look and he was right, your little pink nub was jumping up and down. Keigo shoved his pants down and sat beside you before pulling you to straddle his lap with you back to his chest.
It wasn’t a second before his dick was inside of you and a horrible groan fell from your lips from his insertion. It’s impossible you are going to bust. He was making you ride him with each of your feet planted on either side of him. You couldn’t help it, you screamed as your hips bucked off of his dick, body trying to run from the overwhelming sensation. Keigo’s grip was tight on your hips as he pulled you down forcing you to fuck yourself on his entire length. Through the fresh tears that welled in your eyes you could see Dabi sitting on the other couch with his dickin in his hand, pumping it mercilessly. The look in his eye was unlike anything you’d ever seen from him.
Keigo could sense your loss of focus and bucked his hips into you, hitting that sensitive spot within you. Now you were seeing stars, howling for release.
“Dabi I think she wants you to play to” Keigo said
“Well that’s all you had to say Princess. Dabi said, ejecting himself from the sofa and positioning himself in front of you and Keigo. You weren’t even given the chance to part your lips before once again Keigo had a rough hand in your hair yanking it causing you mouth to fall open, giving Dabi the perfect opportunity to slip into your mouth. The cold of his Jacobs ladder piercings provided a nice contrast to the heat of your tongue.
Your moans and screams were now choked as you sputtered around Dabis base, your neck taught trying to push for any resistance you could. Eventually you were granted a break, your lung swelled with air and your first exhale was used to beg for mercy. Your words came out broken as the man beneath you continued snapping his hips to meet yours.
“Pl-lug-ease sir I need to cum I-I can’t hold it anymore.” You whined breathlessly.
“God I know.” Keigo moaned. “The way you are fucking milking me I’m gonna-.” He didn’t even finish his sentence before he emptied himself inside you. When he pulled out there were long ribbons of your stifled arousal mixed with his that connected the two of you. “See Princess I knew you could do it.” He said as he reached around you to give you cunt a slap. “Told ya.” He tossed in looking up at Dabi taunting him with a wink.
Your body was nearly limp as Dabi moved aside to allow Keigo to peel you off of him, placing you on the couch on your back once more. This time the room is spinning and you know that you can’t take anymore stimulation without release. To you delight the vibrator was finally turned off and the buzzing cesed, however your clit was raw. You whimpered when you felt his soft wet muscle. It wasn’t long before he bypassed your nub and his tongue prodded at your quivering hole. It wasn’t for you, Keigo's slender tongue hastily lapped up the mixture of you two. Quickly withdrawing himself before walking over to Dabi. One of his hands caressed his jaw before he brought his lips to meet those of the dark haired man.
Unlike before, Dabi leaned into the kiss with an eagerness. Keigo hand then moved to clutch his still hard dick. He then began to stroke him. You watched dreamily through half lidded eyes, the sight was titillating to say the least. Your eyes dragged over your spent form, knowing that you couldn’t take anymore. Soon thick white ropes were shooting from Dabi’s cock, each one landing on your exposed belly skin leaving a warm aura around them.
“You just came for me fire crotch.” Keigo teased.
“Shut the fuck up.” Dabi said shoving him away before stuffing himself back into his pants. Dabi disappeared into the room emerging with a warm towel.
Keigo left to find you comfy clothes, he came back with a pair of fuzzy shorts and your favorite of his hoodies. While Dabi was cleaning up your face Keigo was untapping the vibrator at last. Once everything was done and you were all cleaned up and changed the boys cuddled into either side of you. Your head was in Dabi’s lap as he gingerly brushed your curls into a bun and your feet were in Keigo's lap and he was playing ‘this little piggy’ with your toes.
It then dawned on you that you had still yet to cum. A deep aching called to you and you whimpered in response.
“Ready for more, eh princess?”
