I wish Matilda McDuck was in DT17 more, I think we only see her physically in one episode and I really like her character! (we see a mention of her in the first episode I think) She seems so interesting, and Its sad how we didn't see more of her.

I really like her personality, and the thing with the emu's (Emu's, ostriches?? I forgot -) is really funny.

Also, I find her design pretty, the little flower in her hair is really pretty. :3

Papa! I got to go to the creek! I saw chickens and cattle and horses in the drive and somehow an emu ostrich. And I got to the creek and I picked up trash and I saw a bee that needed help from the water so I picked it up with my hand and saved the bee from the water! The bee stayed with me and crawled on my arm, it was funny! And I found a hidden creek and I got to pet 2 dogs and I found a super cool stick in the water! But now I tired, an I gotta take a nap now. I don’t like naps but my body says I should. So im gonna nap.

GM is letting me play a birdfolk character for a Dungeon world 1-shot, and I thought “Hey, wouldn’t it be fun/funny if I played an Emu Bard?”

the GM, another player that hopped into the call, and I spent around an hour trying to find art of anthro emus, to use as a kinda ref for how my character might look. I had something akin to a wingless aarakocra in mind, or I guess like, a big kenku or whatever. The closest we got was an emu centaur looking thing, and a sonic character, and that’s of the stuff that looked relatively nice. A lot of the art that got close was usually not an emu at all, occasionally being an ostrich or a cassowary.

I eventually decided to go with Secretary Bird instead of Emu, because it was easier to find something that wasn’t disturbing or elsewise incorrect, and still a stompy bird. Like, for how much I thought the Emu War was a meme, and notable historical event, there are just no anthro emus as far as I could find.

Hey, all, I’ve given the thought of Bug Fables Bugs as Birds for a while now, so here’s a decent list of my idea for what each species translates to! 

Under the Keep Reading, because it’s kind of a lot.

Ants - Songbird

Bees - Cockatiels

Wasps - Hawks

Termites - Seriema

Beetles - Ratites (Kiwis, Emus, Ostriches, that type of thing) 

Fruity Bugs - Also Ratites, but specifically Kiwis. For the sake of the pun. (Thanks, Amkgal!)

Moths - Owls 

Ladybugs - Pigeons

Mantises - Chickens 

Mosquitoes - Vultures 

Butterflies - Woodpeckers

Crickets - Roadrunners

Leafbugs - Waterfowl (Ducks, Geese, Swans) 

Roaches - Corvids (Crows, Ravens, Magpies)

Also, for a couple specific characters:

Hoaxe gets to be a Shrike because that's technically not a Bird of Prey, but I've seen it called one a few times. 

Fuff gets to be Kestrel because it's like a Hawk but it looks cuter, and I thought that’d be funny.

Funny thing abt the flightless folk people, this AU has wrapped me in so much I took one of those random bird quizzes for entertainment and now I am an ostrich

Now who gets kiwi, penguin and emu wings I wonder...

Not sure at the moment...but there has to be someone with those kinds of wings. Maybe Rosen, I feel like that fits him
