I feel like this episode was the start of really putting sam and rebecca out of the picture and enforcing endgame tedbecca as the most likely possibility.

rebecca can’t have children biologically, so it would make sense if her being a mother ends up as her being henry’s stepmom.

not only was the hallway scene literal soulmate behavior, it was a direct parallel to sam and rebecca’s scene in season 2 before they got together.

and then the soulmate reference by ted later in the episode in response to what sam himself said?? that seems like a very obvious parallel to what rebecca and sam’s situation would end up being if tedbecca happens

Embrace

The atmosphere smothered us, the darkness a comforting blanket as we stood together. Mere inches of space between us, but an expanse that stretched across galaxies kept us from connection. His voice was low, soft; my counter a soul-piercing war-cry that wracked my body with sobs.

Fingers so gentle, his large hand warm and careful as he lifted my chin with two fingertips. A flash of fang in the darkness as his words danced to me across the infinite chasm of emotion, tugging at my heart like a lead with a hook.

"None of that matters now. Not what they think. Not what they say. Their disapproving stares will be nothing more than a fleeting memory before you realize that centuries, nay millennia, have come and gone.

"You are mine. You have been for some time now, even if you refuse to admit it aloud to yourself. But I am patient. I have all the time in the world. When this civilization has fallen and three more have taken its place, I will persist and remain."

My own voice quieted, the hysterical whine replaced with curiosity and the unmistakable spice of fear. "You could have anyone... Why choose me? I'm not fit to become Eternal!"

Grip tightened, forcing me to lift my gaze. His eyes peered down into mine from a great height, twin darkened pools of infinity inspecting me with the careful precision of a scientist viewing a specimen through a microscope. Not daring to look away, whatever emotional message I was seeking made itself clear to me in that gaze, and my fears were quelled.

"You are as fit as any other. Physical beauty fades. I seek a soul like yours: one to make me smile when days are grim, one that seeks the comfort of my arms when the skies of your own mind are grey and the rain is a relentless deluge.

"Find solace in my Embrace, darling. I am here, and I am waiting. My arms are open to you. To become one with both myself, and Eternity... all you must do is open yourself to me."

Silent tears streamed down my cheeks, but my heart was calm. I knew I was ready. With a heavy exhalation, I fell forward into his arms, face buried in his chest, hands fisted in the cloth of his cloak.

His words became near imperceptible murmurs into my hair as he wrapped himself around me, my body seeming so small compared to his tall, lean frame.

"Thank you, sweet girl, for always following your heart."

His Embrace was all I had ever wanted, and all I would ever need until Time itself crumbled to dust.

What do you think Gentaro will do if the girls made Kengo wore mini skirts and fishnets like a goth/emo?

Tomoko: Yesss... I have a new twinsy.

Well... to be fair Tomoko isn't that kind of goth girl, if you look at how she dresses in the show. She's actually pretty conservative- she's the one with the longest skirt of the female cast, she wears tights instead of socks, etc. When she was shown as an adult in the crossover with Wizard, she's wearing a pretty navy dress (matching with Ryusei to boot).

She has some typical goth accessories, but aside from that, her "goth-ness" isn't really evident in her dress. I would guess that if Tomoko actually went goth, she would favor a more elegant lolita type goth attire sans the puff and ruffles.

And honestly? I think Kengo can pull that off XD Gentaro's mouth would be on the floor lmao
