Outsider POV Steddie Fics
Some of my favourite Outsider Pov fic recs because I love outside POV fics with my whole heart
you were warm when everything was cold  by @lesbianrobin (5k words)
There’s something about watching Steve and Eddie that makes his chest ache, just a little bit. Something that feels like it’s just out of reach, like if he could just jump an inch higher he could grasp it and know what it is, have a name for it, figure out what feels like it’s missing with Max. He never felt like something was missing with Max before. She was perfect. She is perfect! Like, sure, not actually perfect, because nobody’s actually perfect, but she’s perfect for him just like he hopes he’s perfect for her, and they’re perfect together.
Maybe Lucas is overcompensating.
sir stephen strider finds his suzie @lesbianrobin (5k words)
Dustin watches Eddie's face as everyone else giggles. He's retained his typical intimidating smirk for much of this encounter, but as Steve stumbles through his fictional seduction, Eddie's eyes soften. His smirk slowly turns to a small grin.
“Didn't Wizard Romeo and Juliet both die?” he asks, in that same low, grumbly voice he always loves to use for big scary bad guys. The effect is jarring.
“Well, yes, but… they loved each other first,” Steve says, oddly sincere. “I think love is worth the risk. Wouldn't you agree? And then, uh, I'm gonna take off my helmet and, like—” Steve tosses his hair, shaking it out dramatically and running a hand through it afterward to fix any wayward strands.
"Ew,” Mike says.
Nancy presses a hand over her mouth, but it does nothing to hide her smile. Usually, this is the point where Eddie would make them all roll initiative. Dustin has his D20 ready. But Eddie smiles. Eddie fucking smiles, and not in that maniacal way he does before siccing something horrific on them, he fucking beams, and says, "You're gonna scrape your neck on his mace doing that, just so you know."
The Joke  by Simply_Layla (12k words)
*please read TWs before reading
"Steve Harrington never says no to anyone."
When he first heard someone say it, he thought maybe it was just a weird way for people to say that Steve was too nice, which made sense to Lucas. Despite the fact he used to be a huge public facing douchebag, Steve was nice. Almost painfully so. Sure he called them shitheads sometimes and argued with them like he was their mom, but he was always there when they needed him and always saving them from the end of the world at the expense of his own physical safety. Steve Harrington was nice, and Lucas thought it was cool that other people were realizing that. But the more he heard that sentence, the more it felt like that wasn’t what anyone was implying. The more he heard it, the more it kind of made Lucas’ skin itch.
Or, the one where Lucas realizes maybe the basketball team isn't where he should be trying to fit in.
When There's Still So Many Things To Say Unsaid by BlackUnicorn (13k words)
When they found the dead body of a cheerleader in their trailer and all of Hawkins started a manhunt for Eddie, Wayne did not have a single doubt in his heart that Eddie was innocent because, at the end of day, Eddie was a good kid, damnit. And then Eddie disappeared over spring break, and when he came back, he was changed. He tried to hide it, sure, the same wicked smile still gracing his face, the same restless energy still filling his eyes and his heart, but Wayne could see it in the quiet moments and the way he was almost never sober anymore, and he realised that his best wasn't good enough anymore and he was losing his nephew.
And then Steve fucking Harrington knocked on the door of their new trailer.
Or: Steve and Eddie's relationship as seen through the eyes of their family.
you are going to die in your best friend’s arms. (but he won’t let you leave like that) by oaseas (23k words)
Dustin sucks in a sharp breath, claps his hands together in his lap, and says as straightforwardly as possible, “I’m going back in time.”
Steve doesn’t say anything. His mouth opens and closes like a goldfish. Then, he says, “What, like, right now?”
Dustin wakes up in Max’s trailer the day of Eddie’s death. Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, but three times? Three times is a pattern.
Or: Dustin Henderson is unstuck in time.
Plus every fic after the first one in this series: sweet leaf by      alchemystique
Bonus: not Steddie but still Stranger things outsider POV
You can put it all on me, you can laugh and you can bleed by  steveharringtoned   (9k words)
Phil Callahan has made a large variety of strange arrests in his time working as a cop for Hawkins, Indiana. Daylight skinny-dippers; a small group of old ladies who’d attempted to rob the corner shop with their umbrellas, a guy who’d stolen a total of eighteen gnomes from his suburban neighborhood.
But pulling over Max Mayfield driving her brother’s Camaro at the ripe age of thirteen was pretty insane. Sure, kids will be kids and kids will be crazy. Until Steve Harrington crawled out of the backseat, clutched his knees and horror-movie hurled blood all over his boots and shit got crazier.
That took it from a minor concern to oh, fuck. Callahan has to take this kid to a hospital.

Self-Promote Saturday
Hi, this isn't a thing, but I'm making it one (writers and other artists feel free to join in on Self-Promote Saturday). Today's self-promote is: Eliot's High School Reunion
It's a Leverage fic that I wrote back in 2021 and I had so much fun doing it. Thiefsome OT3 is established when Eliot gets an invite from Aimee to come to the High School reunion. Eliot of course hasn't been back in years, which creates quite the stir and in the fic you get multiple ousider POVs on him as well as Eliot, Parker and Hardison's POV as they look back on where they're from or as they encounter Eliot's past as well as having fun in relaying their own made up versions of Eliot's present. It's mostly funny and fluffy vibes all around :D

fic rec: Odour of Chrysanthemums by nyanja14
Pairing: Ash Lynx/Okumura Eiji Summary: Two years Eiji was gone with barely a word sent back home to his mother. Two years of her son’s life that Hiroko will never know. Hiroko is angry at Ibe for failing so spectacularly at keeping her son safe. She’s angry at Eiji for not coming home at the first opportunity. But her true fury has nowhere to go. Ash Lynx is already dead. (except he's not really because this is my fic, and I say Ash lived; welcome to my post-series "Eiji's Mom Meets Ash" fic) Rating: Teen and up audiences Word Count: 24304
i am a sucker for mothers and ousiders POVs and family dynamics, and i love Hiroko, she is such a compeling OC. her narration is heartfelt and tender and so bittersweet. she is trying. that matters. that's not all, but it matters.

Hello! Thank you for everything you do it’s been a blast reading thru the things in the master list. I was wondering if you had any fics about outsider POVs on the characters of YOI? Like if they go to university and their friends just don’t notice that they’re famous figure skaters, or their neighbours are like huh what’s up with that well dressed couple with the weird pet names and the angry blond teen. Really anything with outsider POVs is fine !! Thank you !!
Hello, nonnie! If you go through the ao3 tag (or search within results) Skygem retirement AU, you'll find lots of fics with a similar premise as your request. Here are the ones I rec, both in the context of retirement AU and ousider POV in general:
"Unfairly Beautiful Japanese Boy" by @diedraechin [T, 4K]
Sofia was sure of a few things in her life, two of those things were:
1) Even though the dog was cute, she was sure the owner was taking advantage of her abuela's kind heart
2) The 'Unfairly Beautiful Japanese Boy' she kept seeing on campus had to be an angel because look at him.
Only one of them was true.
An Introspection of Life and Love by awesomecookies [Not rated, 16K]
Alice really didn't expect to ride a bullet train to some sea side village when she accepted her editor's advice. But she needed space. She needed a place to think. And maybe Hasetsu was just the right place.
and a look that could just hypnotize by @forestealites [G, 4K]
They say that a demon stole away Victor Nikiforov.
Misha, Petro, and Sonya of the Novice group try to figure out the mystery that is Yuuri Katsuki. It goes about as well as you'd expect.
And the answer is... by nessiesaur [G, 2K]
Yuuri Katsuki is adorable, but also one of the most mature people in their class. Yuuri Katsuki is in her study group, which definitely saved her ass on the midterm. Yuuri Katsuki is…wait, who is he!?
Clippings by @radialarch [G, 3K]
Four seasons, four articles — and one future.
five theories about victor "my husband" nikiforov (+ one fact) by @dadvans [Not Rated, 2K]
No one knows the truth about the strange, well-paying man who comes into the bar three times a week and only talks about his husband. But everyone has their theories.
icebreaker by @codenamecesare [G, 6K]
Yuuri's husband is possibly not as oblivious as he seems, because he grins and asks, "Have you never looked up Yuuri?"
"There's a porn actress with the same name who went into politics," says Nate, "so she's most of the results, and some stuff about figure skating."
"Some stuff about figure skating," Victor says ruefully to Yuuri.
Jason's Master Plan (to dating the Cute Asian Guy) by Qwertzu [T, 10K]
Jason Hesling, young ice hockey prodigy, rising star of Detroit Ice Tigers and part-time model, had a smile that made women and men alike weak at their knees. It’s been a while since anyone managed to catch his attention – until he met the Cute Asian Guy at Detroit Ice Castle and decided to become his next boyfriend.
Meanwhile, the actual Ice Tiger™ is having the time of his life watching the pretentious JJ-wannabe trying to charm the pants off the completely oblivious, happily married Katsudon.
katsuki_fc wrote by @tetsurashian [G, 13K]
Just because Yuuri isn't big on social media, doesn't mean his fans aren't.
My fun fact is: by stillmadaboutpetra [G, 6K]
Yuuri fails to mention to his new non-skater friends who he is or who his husband is. Or that he even has a husband.
Queer Club Surprise by DancingInTheSliverGlow / @art-in-the-sunlight [G, 5K]
The door at the front of the class opens. A tall Russian man, probably in his late twenties walks in. He has ash blond hair that’s half in a messy bun and half spilling down his shoulders. He’s wearing a suit vest, dress shirt, dark jeans and a messenger bag. He’s definitely the professor.
Although it is strange, a Russian with a Japanese last name, Katsuki. Eileen mentally shrugs. She’s seen weirder things.
Eileen watches as the Russian looks at the front of the classroom, checks his phone and frowns. He climbs up to the third row and smiles. Eileen distantly notices that his lips are heart shaped. “Hi! Is this, Japanese 101?”
Eileen nods. “Yeah.”
The man smiles again and Eileen blinks. “Great! Mind if I sit next to you?”
Despite asking, the man barely waits for Eileen to nod before he slides behind her chair and sits in the empty one on her right. Huh. Guess he’s a student then.
View from the Top: The Power Pair That Shook The Sports Wolrd by MadameFolie [T, 2K]
A Vanity Fair interview exclusive! At home with international figure skating superstars Yuuri Katsuki and Viktor Nikiforov.

So what is Fumiko thoughts and her children about MC size and eye color and build and ther thought process what I mean by that the POV when seeing the massacre the MC did to the soldiers please answer that
Fumiko hustled her kids towards the large silver object, the...escape pod, the Warden had called it. The Warden stood with a slightly relaxed stance that seemed out of place in the situation, at least to Fumiko. The look on the Wardens face seemed to be a combination of curiosity and determination.
Daichi scrambled up the side of the pod and helped his sisters and mother climb the silver monolith and slip inside. Just as her head slipped bellow the edge of the entrance Fumiko saw the Warden raise the strange weapon they carried. The look on their face had shifted to one on blank neutrality, not a hint of emotion showed.
A terrible shrieking sound filled the air, a sinister red light flashed in the air again and again. With each shriek and burst of light a man would scream, the sound shook her to the core and Fumiko pulled her daughters closer as they sobbed and whimpered.
The shrieking suddenly stopped, replaced by the clashing of blades, but the screams, they continued. A tiny gasp of awe drew Fumikos' attention to her son as he clung to the edge of the door, watching whatever massacre was occurring beyond the silver metal walls. “Daichi! Get away from there, come down here.”
“But mother, they are amazing! You should see this” Fumiko stared at her child as he continued to stare at at the battle ouside. Diachi had been fascinated by battle, by war since his father had died. She had tried to temper his obsession with learning to fight, but nothing she did ever seemed to matter. Daichi was constantly getting into fights and being a nuisance to the village. She chastised herself for even thinking such a thing, but it was the truth.
The elders had warned her during their visit earlier that morning that if Daichi continued they would need to take more forceful action. What that action was had been left vague, but she always had a very active imagination. It was this imagination and her innate curiosity that drove her to peak out of the escape pod. What she saw was nothing short of terrifying.
The Warden she had met not so long ago was not there, in their place stood a monster dancing among the living and dead, blood smoking on their glowing blade as it carved through the wielders enemies. Those amazing eyes that held a friendly shimmer mere minutes ago now held nothing, they were blank and that was perhaps even more terrifying .
Fumiko had no idea how she would handle this monster when they finished with their enemy. She couldn't even truely fathom them as they towered over their enemies. But then she noticed something, they allowed those running from them to escape. Finally it was only the Warden and the arrogant Yamaguchi Hiroto remaining, she almost felt sorry for the arrogant leader.
Suddenly Daichi hollered and laughed as he scrambled out of the escape pod. Fumiko was about to stop him but she stopped as she noticed Yamaguchi running into the trees.
Glancing at the Warden she saw the friendly shimmer had returned to those magnificent glowing eyes as they smiled at Diachi. Fumiko helped her daughters out of the pod and turned to see the Warden striding towards her. It was surreal. Seconds ago that face had been blank, not a hint of emotion as the Warden had carved through men like a scythe through wheat. But now here they were, smiling as if nothing had happened.
Fumiko stared up into those eyes and something inside her fluttered. Her heart felt like it was trying to beat it's way out of her chest. But her mind was screaming at her, whoever, whatever this being was, however pleasant their smile, they were a monster. Yet her heart never stopped hammering away and as she saw Daichi looking up at the Warden in awe she had to admit to herself that she was also fascinated by this individual before her.
However, she was still furious that her children had been placed in such danger and as her hands landed on her hips in frustration, she intended on letting this Warden know exactly how she felt.
Hope this works for you Anon. Good ask, I enjoyed this.

not rated (I’d say G), 15k, wangxian
Summary:  Wei Wuxian's spirit lingers.
My comments:  This was a great story, I really liked how it was all outsider POV (until the very end): people witnessing wwx's 'ghost' puttering about and actually doing things. It makes them think about their actions, and about wei wuxian and what he did. Wwx plays Healing for Lan Wangji, tucks A-Yuan in at night, does paperwork for Jiang Cheng, looks up old friends and initiates a rescue. Indeed, wwx does all kinds of things that a ghost or spirit should not be able to do, like ignore Inquiry, use spiritual energy, learn things and interact with spiritual tools.
I don't want to give away too much, so.... Here, have a very satisfying fix-it.
canon divergence, grief/mourning, ghost wei wuxian, 33 lashes, inquiry, ousider pov (lxc, jc, mianmian, etc.), spirit wei wuxian, feels, angst, haunting, fix it, EVERYTHING GETS FIXED, a-yuan, baoshan sanren, family feels, brotherly feels, character study,  golden core reveal, golden core, golden core transfer, hurt/comfort, favorite, @shanastoryteller
(You may wish to REBLOG as a signal boost for this author if you like – or think others might like – this story.)

Weekly Writing Update Jan. 19th, 2022
Progress made: 4.2k words drafted/line edited (my process is weird ok) (and FINALLY. FINALLY. FINISHED THE MCFUCKIN CHAPTER. GODDAMN) WIPs worked on: Echoseers (total wc: 18.1k) Writing Streak: 159 days Current chapter + POV: Chapter 4, still deciding POV as I haven't started drafting it yet
Favorite line(s) since last update (Annie POV, interacting with Gab):
I eye the tension in his jaw. “What, you have to give up some trade secrets?”
“No. Worse, even.” He props his chin on the heel of his hand and looks wistfully at the sketched dress I’ve been labeling as I go, and the empty one beside it.
“Worse?”
“I had to talk to Ruti Palm for it.”
I suck a hiss through my teeth, fighting back a laugh. “Wow. Want some extra sheer? Ruffles, maybe?”
“A whole second dress.”
“That’s not happening.”
“A slit in the skirt, then. Mid-thigh.”
My giggle breaks through. “Deal.”
Andy shakes her head, grinning. “You’re a terrible negotiator.”
“Yeah, well, I can’t levy people’s concealed identities against them through Ms. Wirebrains over here.”
On cue, Wrench jumps up onto the back of the chair next to him. A worn, ripped-up scrap of paper crinkles in her mouth as she shakes and bops her nose into his arm.
His brow furrows. “What do you have there, scrap heap?”
Scene I'm looking forward to: plot stuff!! in a meeting room with a koi pond on top of the skylight!! my beloved!!
This week doesn't have a soundtrack because I was listening to my whole playlist on shuffle again.
Notes/Thoughts: chapter three of echoseers really took a whole 2+ weeks for not even 7k huh. damn.
anyways i had a really cool idea for a scene later on in echoseers that includes the first look at the whispers from an ouside perspective and also gets up to some cool ass masquerade ball and spy thriller-type shenanigans. f in the chat for gab, who doesnt get to wear a pretty dress until he gets home because he cant fake the knowledge he needs for this apprentice's ball

How will u describe both Jason and dick s relationship with Bruce in ur universe?
And will u also update ur fics other than the mob wife series?
No pressure tho ofc (*¯︶¯*) hope ure doing well and also love ur recent artworks :)
1. First question:
Jason and Bruce's relationship is like tape water: if you leave it alone at room temperature, they're all cool, there might even be small talks in the air. If you boil or put them in the freezer though, simply be a situation when they're suddenly imposed to deal with each other or anything that can push their buttons, they'll explode. It's equally fascinating and terrifying to see how quickly their relationship can reshape and change due to the environment and situations like how water hardens or evaporate. Bruce always thinks more than he can say, and Jason isn't much of a mind reader, he's always about listening to the right words in delicate moments. I think that's my best description of them ┐( ̄ー ̄)┌
Dick and Bruce are like the seasons: they have their patterns, they're thick and strong but they also have bumps and stops in the journey. They met at Spring, both were young, energetic and fresh, then Summer entered, the heat got in and conflicts arose, Dick parted and left Bruce as the lonely Autumn. You know the phase when you're a parent and your kids are all grown up, they eventually draft away from your reach? That's Winter. They still talk, are still in contact, still meet occasionally, but they have separate lives now. But, they have their patterns, and at the end of every Winter, there is Spring.
2. Second question:
I'm currently hitting 7k of an update for the Mobwife AU, so I'll have to finish that one first before saying anything (it's an ousider POV, you guys favorite!). Covid situation in my country is getting worse and worse every day, we can't even go out to buy groceries now. I'm quite busy at home with house chores, my students message me all the time (am a teacher), plus, since the city is in quarantine again, I've been getting into gardening, so we'll see if I can get out of writer block on other fics while planting tomatoes and baby carrots.
Also, thank you for mentioning my artworks! I'm very new to this so my drawing isn't consistent and haven't able to really receive any feedback or comment at all ( ´ ー `)

any word on how btw!rhys becomes super extra shitty canon!rhys? 👀👀👀
Ohhh yes, lots of words!
So, there's little on btw!Rhys in the actual story (because I cut out his pov, because I couldn't stand writing him as somewhat nice), but basically, during his youth, it's considered cool for young Fae nobles to be very progressive in their mindset and with their plans for how they want to rule. It kind of goes hand-in-hand with the War. Everyone wants to change the world, abolish the class system, create equality. Basically, every Fae noble under 100 wants to be like Drakon. This never quite makes it into the story becuse the protagonists are all far more concerned with actually winning the War.
But well, Rhys is in the fortunate position of being friends with the people who are (without really noticing) at the head of this movement. This friendship is more of an accident (the only reason Miryam and the others ever noticed Rhys was that he is Mor's cousin, and close to their age, and they are never quite as close as Rhys later likes to pretend. They certainly aren't as equal. Miryam, Jurian and Drakon are arguably the most important people in the Alliance, each the best in their areas. Miryam started the war and led the Alliance. Even Mor, emissary to the Night Court and friend to all of them, held indefinitely more power than Rhys. He was just a common commander. But oh, how he liked to pretend he was just like them.) But anyways, Rhys enjoys the standing this gives him. He also kind of enjoys feeling rebellious against his father - being friends with people he hates, part of a movement that goes against everything he believes, is the very definition of rebellion for Rhys.
After the War is over, Rhys keeps the pro-equality mindset, partially because it annoys his father, partially because being able to say "I was friends with Miryam and Drakon" gives him a certain amount of standing (and oh, does he hate to always be only a footnote in their story), and partially because he genuinely believes in equality. However, his actions never quite match his mindset. Even during the War, he didn't try to earn the respect of the Illyrians he was to lead, didn't try to compromise and work with them, he commanded them through force. And after the War, the "blunt force" approach continues on. He never goes to university to the Continent, never learns their way of looking at things, he stays in Prythian and studies under his father, learns his way of ruling.
And then, about 150 years after the War, Rhysand's father dies and he becomes High Lord. Rhys mourns his family, but he also rejoices at finally, finally becoming High Lord, finally having real power. And oh, is he going to use it. (To his credit, he genuinely wants to be better than his father was.)
One of the first things he does is to visit Miryam and Drakon on Cretea (a visit only possible now that his father is dead). By that time, things on Cretea are working somewhat smoothly, and Rhys is... well, somewhat amazed. But above all, he decides that he is going to do better. (Outdoing Miryam and Drakon is something Rhys, whether he admits it or not, always wanted. 150 years of being a footnote, a friend to people who were so much more, now he is going to be the one to make history.)
He thinks he can do it, too. In his mind, he was always better than Drakon, who is largely the one responsible for making things on Cretea work. Rhys learned to value brute strength, cunningness and manipulation. Drakon doesn't have any of that, so in Rhysand's mind, it is clear that he is going to be better. (As for Miryam... well, Rhys always enjoyed being the most powerful and the smartest person in the room. With Miryam around, he was neither and even though she is the only reason he survived the war, a part of him always resented that.) So Rhys brushes off Drakon's offer for help, advice, anything he might need, and returns to the Night Court. Not without first boasting about all he is going to achieve.
The first thing he does is appoint his cousin and his two Illyrian brothers as members of his Inner Circle. When the other advisors disagree, he fires them. The Hewn City rises up in opposition. Rhysand, all brute strength (just like his father taught him), kills the rebels. Murder, as usual, doesn't lead to peace. He turns to the Illyrians. Not a hint of understanding, not a negotiation, he orders them to change their entire culture in a day. Women are to train. No more wing-clipping. Bastards no longer thrown out into the snow. (All good ideas, but none quite as easy as Rhys likes to think.) Within a months, the Illyrians rallied forces in opposition. Who is he to give them orders, this man who got so many of them killed in the War? ("But I put two of yours in charge," Rhys insists, thinking it representation and ignoring that the Illyrians never chose Azriel and Cassian to lead them.) Rhys, once again, answers with violence. Kills the leaders, forces the rest back into their camps. His next attempt to change things in the Hewn City (end forced marriages, give rights to women and servants) goes equally awry. Another rebellion, more deaths.
By the time it is over, Rhys is done. He signs a treaty with Keir, allowing him to largely govern himself. Pulls Mor back from the Continent where she worked as emissary and puts her in charge of the Hewn City. (Relationships with the Continent, previously good, get worse and worse. Mor, who had been friends with so many of the Continental leaders in the War, who had learned their ways, was respected amongst Continental royalty. The new emissary isn't.) Rhys bans wing clipping for the Illyrians, but goes back on all other demands.
The Night Court, he decides, cannot be governed with a soft hand. He keeps his Court of Dreams (oh, how ironic the name has become) and Velaris, spends most of his time in his City of Starlight where he can pretend to be the ruler he always wanted to be. He becomes, although he will deny it to his last day, just like his father was. Cold. Cruel. Uncaring.
He comes up with excuses, millions of excuses. He did his best. He could never have succeeded. Miryam and Drakon did it, but the Seraphim were always more open-minded than the Illyrians. They had the advantage of peace, of being isolated from the ouside, on their side. They didn't have to reform a corrupt court. If they'd been in his place, they would have failed as well. They had it easier. He knows, deep down, that they didn't.
He never returns to Cretea, forbids Mor from going. (Too risky, he claims. The truth is that if he goes, he won't be able to keep up his lies. Deep down, knows all too well that he never had it harder, that his way of ruling is wrong.) Nothing can ever be allowed to shatter his illusion. Some days, he even believes it himself.
Amarantha happens. Excuses upon excuses for actions he knows to be inexcusable. Most people think him crueller than his father now. Amarantha gets killed. Another rebellion, another swath of his own subjects he murders for treason. (He never learned to compromise, to listen. Never understood that rebellion doesn't happen without reason.)
Hybern's threat looms on the Continent and Mor suggests they go to Cretea, ask for help. It would be the logical course of action. It would mean an army far larger than their own, and a chance to rally the Continent. (It would mean having to explain 350 years of silence. All the blood on his hands. It would mean needing to explain the Illyrians and the Hewn City and the fact that he is just like his father. Having to explain that he married a girl of nineteen. He thinks Drakon might believe him he is wrong, but then, as he usually is, but Miryam was never one for excusing inexcusable deeds.) "They wished to remain hidded", he lies, thinking that he should at least be able to win this one war on his own.
When he looks at Tarquin, young and honest, full of plans he will surely manage to get to work, he thinks of Drakon. More excuses. "Tarquin with his neutral court will always have it easier," he says to Feyre. And she believes him. She looks at him and sees a good person in him. She believes his excuses, his carefully spun lies. She thinks he is good, and that anyone who says otherwise is wrong. He loves her for it.
During the charade that is the meeting with the queens, he has Feyre play Miryam (a young woman with ties to both the humans and the Fae, with unusual powers. He makes her emissary on top of it, thinking it's the closest he can come). Another War, that's the image he wants to send. He is going to unite humans and Fae, he will rally the Continent. Neither works. (He never understood.) The war effort crashes and burns around him. He can barely unite Prythian. But Feyre is there, worshiping him like a god, believing his every lie, never noticing all the ways he failed. His friends are there, backing him up. And he is fighting for the right thing, isn't he? Surely that makes him a good person. Deep down, he knows it doesn't.

Castiel steps forward. He lays one hand gently on top of Dean’s head, and one -- it’s quite a stretch -- on top of Sam’s. He closes his eyes -- and then he opens them and steps back.
“There,” he says. “It is done. You are married.”
“We’re--what?” Dean demands, and Sam says, “Hey, wait, you can’t just--”
He allows them to process. There are unlikely physical threats; there is a great deal of shouting, and no small amount of profanity. Castiel pays no attention. Precious seconds tick by, in which angelic battles could be waged, and lost, or won, except that he is not there to fight them. Finally, Dean says, “So -- that’s it?”
Castiel tilts his head, considering. “Congratulations?”

Okay so I had an idea for an AFTG fic but again I’m horrible at anything that isn’t hc’s so here we are (feel free to make this into a fic if you want just credit me) *Also all pairing in this are platonic besides andreil and mattdan soo, don’t like get out*
This spawned from that fact that one of my 3 PTP’s (platonic trust pairing) in AFTG is Kev and Neil
This is probably my PTP that has the most popularity in the fandom I’d say (my other 2 are Renee/Andrew/Neil and Neil/Dan which are both *really* hard to find ((at least on ao3)) so that sucks) but you’d be surprised how little it gets like actually focused on
Most times, platonic wise, Neil gets shown bonding with The MonstersTM, Allison, or Matt
wHICH IS FINE IM TOTALLY OKAY W/ THAT
I just happen to enjoy neil/dan, kev/neil,and renee/andrew/neil more
So I wanted a fic that really showcased kev and neils relationship
BUT IM ALSO IN LOVE WITH OUSIDER POV SO THIS HAPPENED
Now onto the actual headcanon
So neil and kevin are like best friends
They've been like that for a while
but they also like fucking despise each other
like they love and care deeply for each other and would probably die for the other if the situation called for it
but will that stop them from almost killing each other 24/7?
HELL NO
so they go to college together
along with all the upperclassmen (so matt+dan+allison+renee+seth) but not the monsters
andrew and neil have been together for a bit
they met around the same time kev and neil did so they've been together for a while (also while we're talking abt relationships, i don't ship renison ((am i the only one who believes that renee is a strong aro gal who don't need no man/lady/person)) but if you wanna make this renison, go ahead)
andrew goes to a different college tho ( for some reason i dunno)
and neil doesn't really like sharing stuff abt his personal life
we all know this
but a lot of the stuff he's done in his life involves andrew
so drew is brought up a fair amount
but when the upperclassmen ask who he is neil kinda just smiles and then moves on so they ask kevin and he's like
oh andrew is like one of my bffls he's a ride or die
(obviously not phrased like that)
and the upperclassmen r like 'ok he can be trusted he's a friend'
(little do they know hehhehhe-)
sO ONE DAY
kev is tryna forget all his issues
so he decides to get hella pissed
wasted like he's never been b4
probably cause thea broke up w/ him last week but we don't talk abt that okay shhhhhhh
so he goes to the next party alli throws and
let's say it together kids
gets wasted like he's never been b4
to the point where the upperclassmen don't really know wht to do with him????
so they call up neil like yo pick up kev he's drunk off his ass like always but we think he's doing it cause he's sad this time'
so neil, being the good and sweet angel (not) that he is
goes to pick up kevin
and like he finds him on a coach almost catatonic just rambling to himself
so neil picks him up and drags him away to his car
and ofc all the upperclassmen r trying to help
so while neil is putting kevin into his car kev randomly just stops talking
(which is weird cause he's kept rambling this entire time)
and he looks neil in the eyes and goes
'i love you neil'
and neil just like takes a second
pAuSeS
because he's not used to people showing him love even tho so many ppl rlly do love him (this boy is2g-)
and then quietly says
'love you too kev'
and finishes buckling him up
all the upperclassmen have been watching this going on the entire time and they read into in the exact wrong way
(they're trying their best, my baby dumbasses, but they're just wrong)
and think this is a romantic love confession between frenimies *instead* of the declaration of mutual respect and affection between 2 bro's that it is
matt is the first one to voice this after kev and neil leave and he is
PUMPED
he is super excited that his bro has found someone to love just like he found dan and is super excited to like talk abt love and go on double dates n stuff
and every one else agrees
which is why they're all super disappointed that by the time a week goes by, nothing has changed between them
so dan matt and allison decide to do something about it (renee+seth ducking out because'it's rude to meddle' and 'why tf would i care abt jostens love bullshit')
they try to set up kevin and neil a bunch of different time s
once with the offer of a study session that they all say they can't make it to, leaving neil and kevin alone
another time with the offer of kevin and neil going to the movies w/ matt and dan
(neil ends up busy w/ a skype date with andrew that he can't pass up cause they're always so busy and he has to see his boyf so kevin just ends up 3rd wheeling matt and dan)
and once with allison straight up just telling neil that he and kevin should get coffee some time
which neil respond to with
'we already get coffee together?'
so dan matt and alli are stumped
they don't know what to do with these 'lovesick' idiots
they're problem gets solved tho don't you worry
so the next weekend, andrew is gonna come over to psu and stay for like a week
neil is oVER THE MOON
HE IS SOO HAPPYYYYY
And kevin is really happy too
so the upperclassmen take this to mean that these boys have finally gotten the hint and asked each other out
so imagine they're suprise when the next time the group goes to get lunch (which they do with each other every wednesday )
a super short blond emo joins them
and no one really acknowledges it?!?!?!?!?!?
until renee is just like 'hello andrew, how are you?' knowing smile on her face
and the upperclassmen are just like 'oh it's the famous andrew, that makes sense' but then they're like 'wait how does renee know andrew?!?!'
they ask and renee is just like 'neil gave me his discord. he thought we'd get along well'
-and then they're just like okayyy renee totally has a crush but well let it slideee
uNTIL
at the end of lunch neil is just like 'oh wait i never properly introduced him-' -cause you're a mess, junkie' -fuck off andrew' then just turns to the upperclassmen and says
'guys this is my boyfriend andrew'
and the foxes just silently freak out
because neil is in love with kevin? it's so clear? why did neil go and get a boyf when he has his love right in front of him??????
so after lunch, matt dan and alli ask to talk to neil privately
(andrew, kev,and renee all talk together while seth like, looks at his phone)
and they're like 'neil why'd you get a boyf??'
and neils like 'wdym?'
and alli says 'why'd you get a boyf if your so obviously in love w/ kevin?!'
and neil just LAUGHS at them
straight up cackles
and then the upperclassmen are like whaaaaattttt????
we saw your declaration of love at the party??
and you're both really close and seem to genuinely like and be interested in each other??
what gives????
and neils like
'me n kev are besties
that was a platonic declaration of love
also
i'm demi and me and drew have been together for like 3 years now'
and the upperclassmen are just like 'ooooooooooooooooohhhhhh sorryyyyyyyyy'
it's the first time alli has ever lost a bet (it was w/ seth abt neils feelings for kevin)
neil tells andrew abt it and the shortie just snorts and is like 'kevin would fuck a racket quicker than he'd fuck you'
neil is like 'i'm basically exy personified tho, soooooo'
drew tells him to shut up
(he does when andrew asks yes or no, just nods his head and smiles)
renee knew all along and is happy for her friends
kevin just wants to play exy he's been deprived the entire post
So yeah that's the entire headcanon. If you want some music to listen to while you write or just in general i recommend "I lost a Friend" by FINNEAS and "Corduroy Dreams" by Rex Orange County. they don't really have anything to do with the story, they're just real good :) Thanks for reading. see y'all later

Sorry to bother but what is a second POV? With fan fiction? I know first povs and third povs
No worries! 2nd POV is the “you” perspective. This the view of the ‘reader(y/n)’ in reader insert fanfics. In this POV, you’re writing usingthe pronouns: ‘you, your, yours, yourself, yourselves.’
First person, readers read the story through the character’s perspective
Third person, readers read it from an ousiders view.
Second person is best described as transforming the reader into the character (literally inserting reader)!
Hope that helps :)
