Perhaps we can co-create a free energy engine with magnets shaped like the yin yang symbol, with the poles of the magnets corresponding to the black and white, negative and positive.
Keep them together with copper and experiment with combining 3 of them in a natural geometric pattern. They may spontaneously start spinning and potentially we can harvest that energy.
If it works then make it nano size and combine in arrays.
Apply phi and fibonacci and master numbers like 1111 to the designs.
Not to be a hopeless romantic, but was anyone going to tell us that 2023 was the year scientists were able to visualize quantum-entangled particles for the first time and they literally look like yin and yang??

So for those of you who haven't seen the news about Unity, they're going to be charging developers a fee of up to $0.20 per installation of the game (this varies by which version of Unity you are using, and isn't implemented until a threshold is met).
This is a huge blow for the indie video game industry.
So many games have been made using Unity. So many.
Cuphead
Beat Saber
Cult of the Lamb
City Skylines
Hell, freaking Pokémon Go is made using Unity.
By charging this fee, a lot of studios are going to suffer. Games are going to be lost. Cult of the Lamb will no longer be for sale as of January. The studios who will remain will be the ones with the money. It's going to be harder for people to get a foot into the development industry.
Fuck you Unity.

Never forget the power of spite. Spite is the motivator. Spite is the motive force behind the creation of almost every massively successful 3D engine ever.
Build, all 5 UEs, Bryce, some of the id tech engines (1+2 at least, dunno the history past that), renderman, 1.0 era Unity, goldsrc, and source 2 can all be pinned to an instance where someone was muttering 'I'll fucking *show them*' under their breath, usually as a direct retort to competition talking shit and upstaging them somehow.
If you expand the net to catch dedicated video hardware you can throw in the PSX and most of the SNES expansion chips (especially the original SuperFX, that's the first place winner for Most Seething Hardware and the story of argonaut software and the origin of Starfox is a great read). Never underestimate the power of getting really fucking angry about things being shitty and then fixing them.
one of the most important things terry pratchett has taught me is that it's okay to be angry. no one has ever said that to me before. he taught me that anger was an engine. that you can use that anger. that it goes hand in hand with love. he taught me to never underestimate my anger, because it's one of my strongest points. he taught me genuine anger was one of the world’s great creative forces. he taught me i shouldn't be fighting my anger, but what caused it. he himself said rage underlines everything he wrote. i never heard anger talked about so openly like that before and it's freeing, i suppose, to realize you are truly, truly not alone in your rage at the world. you never were.

Okay so what you want to do is go download Daggerfall from GOG. It's free and it's an absolutely massive open world RPG that is still unmatched in sheer scope by the later Elder Scrolls games. Now, remember where you installed that game so you'll know where to find it.
Then what you'll want to do is head on over to the Daggerfall Workshop to download Daggerfall Unity. Daggerfall Unity is a port of Daggerfall into the Unity engine which already incorporates some basic quality of life upgrades (like WASD + mouse gameplay, fixing bugs, allowing you to turn off the game's awful "hold down the mouse button and drag the cursor around to simulate swinging" combat system for more sensible click-based combat, you can find this setting in the game's Options menu) but now you also have access to an absolutely massive modding scene. If you want you can pick up some mods that make the game "prettier" but like the game is already beautiful as is

"Canadian scientists have developed a blood test and portable device that can determine the onset of sepsis faster and more accurately than existing methods.
Published today [May 27, 2025] in Nature Communications, the test is more than 90 per cent accurate at identifying those at high risk of developing sepsis and represents a major milestone in the way doctors will evaluate and treat sepsis.
“Sepsis accounts for roughly 20 per cent of all global deaths,” said lead author Dr. Claudia dos Santos, a critical care physician and scientist at St. Michael’s Hospital. “Our test could be a powerful game changer, allowing physicians to quickly identify and treat patients before they begin to rapidly deteriorate.”
Sepsis is the body’s extreme reaction to an infection, causing the immune system to start attacking one’s own organs and tissues. It can lead to organ failure and death if not treated quickly. Predicting sepsis is difficult: early symptoms are non-specific, and current tests can take up to 18 hours and require specialized labs. This delay before treatment increases the chance of death by nearly eight per cent per hour.
[Note: The up to 18 hour testing window for sepsis is a huge cause of sepsis-related mortality, because septic shock can kill in as little as 12 hours, long before the tests are even done.]
[Analytical] AI helps predict sepsis
Examining blood samples from more than 3,000 hospital patients with suspected sepsis, researchers from UBC and Sepset, a UBC spin-off biotechnology company, used machine learning to identify a six-gene expression signature “Sepset” that predicted sepsis nine times out of 10, and well before a formal diagnosis. With 248 additional blood samples using RT-PCR, (Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction), a common hospital laboratory technique, the test was 94 per cent accurate in detecting early-stage sepsis in patients whose condition was about to worsen.
“This demonstrates the immense value of AI in analyzing extremely complex data to identify the important genes for predicting sepsis and writing an algorithm that predicts sepsis risk with high accuracy,” said co-author Dr. Bob Hancock, UBC professor of microbiology and immunology and CEO of Sepset.
Bringing the test to point of care
To bring the test closer to the bedside, the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) developed a portable device they called PowerBlade that uses a drop of blood and an automated sequence of steps to efficiently detect sepsis. Tested with 30 patients, the device was 92 per cent accurate in identifying patients at high risk of sepsis and 89 per cent accurate in ruling out those not at risk.
“PowerBlade delivered results in under three hours. Such a device can make treatment possible wherever a patient may be, including in the emergency room or remote health care units,” said Dr. Hancock.
“By combining cutting-edge microfluidic research with interdisciplinary collaboration across engineering, biology, and medicine, the Centre for Research and Applications in Fluidic Technologies (CRAFT) enables rapid, portable, and accessible testing solutions,” said co-author Dr. Teodor Veres, of the NRC’s Medical Devices Research Centre and CRAFT co-director. CRAFT, a joint venture between the University of Toronto, Unity Health Toronto and the NRC, accelerates the development of innovative devices that can bring high-quality diagnostics to the point of care.
Dr. Hancock’s team, including UBC research associate and co-author Dr. Evan Haney, has also started commercial development of the Sepset signature. “These tests detect the early warnings of sepsis, allowing physicians to act quickly to treat the patient, rather than waiting until the damage is done,” said Dr. Haney."

Folks talking about Game Devs dropping Unity or how it won't hurt small indie devs with under 200,000. Are missing the point.
Some of these Unity games can't change to another engine because they have years of code piled on top of each other at this point. aka POKEMON GO. They'd basically have to rebuild the game from scratch.
Not to mention Unity is mostly used by phone app games or Indie's that are lucky enough to get picked up by console. Indie games on Mobile easily pass 200,000 downloads. Temple Run 1 and 2 are in Unity, Crossy Road, Angry birds 1 and 2, and Hearthstone. All of these past 200,000 downloads years ago but aren't bringing in money now except hearthstone.
The Developers will do what happened to the first Angry birds app. They'll take it down, build it in a new engine for "HD", and add a shit ton of micro transactions. We are about to lose countless original versions of the OG pre lootbox mobile games.
We are also about to lose some of the biggest Indie games of the last decade. Among Us, Plague Inc., 7 Days to die, the original Slenderman game and it's sequel, I am Bread, Ori and the Blind Forest, Dream Daddy, Overcooked 1 & 2, Pathfinder online, Cup Head, Bendy and the Ink Machine, Oxygen Not Included, Bloons Tower Defense 6, Beat Saber, Subnautica, The Stanley Parable, Untitled Goose Game, Power Washing Simulator, Fall Guys, Inscryption, Phasmophobia
And the big one FUCKING HOLLOW KNIGHT. Silk song has already been pushed back out of this year specifically because it's being made by a team of like 3 people. It is so close to being finished and now they are being told they have to start over from scratch basically. Hollow Knight got over 200,000 downloads from being on playstation and was eventually put on Playstations subscription service. Every cent they made from hollow knight has gone back into making silk song. Which might now be delayed by multiple years and oh they are going to have to use some of that funds to pay unity now. Or find a way to get out of a contract with playstation. Because folks will keep downloading Hollow Knight for free and Unity will send the Hollow Knight team the bill.
oh and there's one more teeny tiny game made in Unity that you guys might not want to suddenly disappear. One with almost 3 years of monthly code updates, one with 139 million downloads to date, and 4.8 million monthly users.
Genshin. Guys Genshin Impact is made completely in Unity and that's not a game that can have it's code just copy and pasted to another engine.

Apple faces criminal sanctions for defying App Store antitrust order
Tumblr media
I'm on a 20+ city book tour for my new novel PICKS AND SHOVELS. Catch me at NEW ZEALAND'S UNITY BOOKS in AUCKLAND TODAY (May 2), and in WELLINGTON TOMORROW (May 3). More tour dates (Pittsburgh, PDX, London, Manchester) here.
Tumblr media
Epic, makers of the wildly popular Fortnite video-game, have waged a one-company war against the "app tax" – the 15-30% rake that the mobile duopoly of Apple/Google take out of every penny we spend inside of apps.
Epic's own digital practices are hardly spotless: just this year, the company was caught cheating players – many of them children – with deceptive practices and had to refund over $72m:
https://www.ftc.gov/enforcement/refunds/fortnite-refunds
But in this fight, Epic is on the side of the angels. The 30% that Apple/Google sucks out of the mobile economy is a brutal tax, and not just on app makers. Patreon performers recently raised a stink when the company announced that it would be clawing back 30% of the money pledged by their supporters – that 30% surcharge is passed straight through to Apple/Google:
https://www.theverge.com/2024/8/12/24218629/patreon-membership-ios-30-percent-apple-tax
From independent news outlets to crafters selling their work out of small storefronts, all the way up to massive entertainment services like Disney Plus and Fortnite, the mobile cartel takes 30% out of every dollar, a racket they maintain with onerous rules that ban apps from using their own payment processors, or even from encouraging users to click a link that brings them to a web-based payment screen.
30% is a gigantic markup on payment processing. It's ten times the going rate for payments in the USA, already one of the most expensive places in the world to transfer money from one party to another. In the EU, payment processing typically runs 1%…or less.
But crafters, Patreon podcasters and small-town newspapers are in no position to fight Google and Apple. Instead, we get Epic, a multi-billion-dollar company that's gone to the mattresses to fight these multi-trillion-dollar companies. Personally, I dote on billionaire-on-trillionaire violence.
Epic was wildly successful. It mopped up the floor with Google, securing an especially punitive award from a judge who was furious that Google had destroyed evidence:
https://pluralistic.net/2023/12/12/im-feeling-lucky/#hugger-mugger
Epic also won against Apple, though not as thoroughly as it had with Google, because Apple had the commonsense not to get up to the kind of shenanigans that make federal judges very, very mad. In the Google case, the court found that Google had acted as a monopolist and ordered it to open up the payment system in Google Play, a direct blow to the Android app tax.
In the Apple case, the judge did not find that Google had acted as a monopolist, but did rule that the App Store's payment processing racket violated the law, and ordered Apple to end its own app tax:
https://techcrunch.com/2025/04/30/epic-games-just-scored-a-major-win-against-apple/
That's where things get gnarly. Apple is addicted to corrupt sources of income – like the tens of billions it illegally receives every year in bribes from Google make it the default search:
https://apnews.com/article/google-antitrust-search-engine-verdict-apple-319a61f20fb11510097845a30abaefd8
And it really, really loves the app tax. When the EU ordered Apple to allow third-party app stores (as a way of killing the app tax), the company cooked up a malicious compliance plan that was comically corrupt:
https://pluralistic.net/2024/02/06/spoil-the-bunch/#dma
So, the mere fact that a federal judge had ordered Apple to open up its app store to competing payment processors was not going convince Apple to actually do it. Instead, Apple cooked up a set of rules for third-party payment processing that would make it more costly to use someone else's payments, piling up a mountain of junk fees and using scare screens and other deceptive warnings to discourage users from making payments through a rival system:
https://www.thebignewsletter.com/p/judge-rules-apple-executive-lied
That's the kind of thing that is apt to make a federal judge angry – and, as noted, angry federal judges can make life very hard for tech monopolists, a lesson Google learned when it destroyed key evidence in its Epic case. But Apple didn't just flout the court order – they lied about it to cover it up, and Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers is furious. She held that Alex Roman, Apple's Vice-President of Finance, "outright lied under oath," and she has raised the possibility of criminal contempt penalties for Apple:
https://regmedia.co.uk/2025/05/01/pacer_epic_vs_apple_injunction_judgement.pdf
The judge further wrote:
This is an injunction, not a negotiation. There are no do-overs once a party willfully disregards a court order. Time is of the essence. The Court will not tolerate further delays. As previously ordered, Apple will not impede competition. The Court enjoins Apple from implementing its new anticompetitive acts to avoid compliance with the Injunction. Effective immediately Apple will no longer impede developers’ ability to communicate with users nor will they levy or impose a new commission on off-app purchases
In other words, any junk fees, any impediments to opening up third party payments, will be switfly and harshly dealt with. As of right now developers can start to build third-party payments into their apps and Apple cannot block them. It's the end of the app tax, a source of about $100b/year for Apple:
https://www.theregister.com/2025/05/01/apple_epic_lies_possible_crime/
The world is on fire and everything is terrible, but we are also living through the most consequential season in the history of the war on corporate tech power. Google has been convicted three times of being a monopolist and is almost certainly going to have to sell off Chrome, most of its ad-tech stack, and possibly Android. Meta just put up a pathetic showing in an equally serious antitrust case that could see it forced to sell off Instagram and Whatsapp:
https://pluralistic.net/2025/04/11/it-is-better-to-buy/#than-to-compete
Countries around the world have passed big, sweeping, muscular antitrust laws specifically aimed at smashing corporate tech power, like the EU's Digital Markets Act and Digital Services Act:
https://www.eff.org/pages/adoption-dsadma-notre-analyse
Most importantly, all of this is happening from the bottom up. There is no dark money campaign to fuck up the tech companies. The politicians and enforcers who are taking on Big Tech are being shoved from behind by billions of everyday people who are furious and refuse to take it any longer:
https://pluralistic.net/2025/04/10/solidarity-forever-2/#oligarchism
I am deeply grateful for the public servants who have championed this cause, but I also know that these people are the effect of our movement, not the cause. When Kier Starmer fires Britain's brilliant and effective top competition enforcer and replaces him with the former head of Amazon UK, that does nothing to tamp down the political outrage that Britons feel towards America's tech giants:
https://pluralistic.net/2025/01/22/autocrats-of-trade/#dingo-babysitter
All over the world, countries that passed IP laws to protect US tech interests in exchange for tariff-free access to US markets are grappling with the end of free trade with America. This represents a generational opportunity to pass laws that enable local technologists to jailbreak US tech exports and liberate their people from the extractive practices of Big Tech forever:
https://archive.is/CiBIz
There is nothing harder to stop than an idea whose time has come to pass.

Since I built you, and all the various drones, and since I came up with this plan; Calling myself, The Architect is a more fitting name in my opinion. What are your thoughts, SALEM; Does that sound fitting, or does that still sound a little vain? "
"It does not, calling yourself the, Architect is a far more humble title. Although, others may still see you as vain, considering they will not know the history behind your new moniker, 'The Architect."

Fire, explosions, and screams. On a night meant to celebrate the coming of four nations, a day of unity, The Vytal Festival. And yet, instead the of the city of, Vale being based in the light of neon light, it basked in the light of fire. Instead of the booming echoes, and multicoloured lights from fireworks being shot in the sky, explosions of cars, powerlines, and machines erupted in blazing balls of fire. And, instead of the cheers, and cries of a people celebrating together, there was the cries of the fearful, and the dying.
Vale was in flames.
The White Fang, Grimm, and rouge Atlasian Knights had flooded the city. Hunting, and killing all those that got in their way. Wrecking havoc all across the city. Hunters, both professionals, and trainees were running about, trying to save as many lives as possible, often in vain attempt. For there were too many, Grimm, and fanaticals among the, White Fang raising hell across the city, and too many people were dying. They were losing, Vale had fallen.
And, just like many others, May Zedong, a Huntress-in-training of, Shade Academy was about to meet a grewsome end, just like many others. At least, she thought she was.
~~~
"Fuck... fuck fuck fuck!"
May Zedong was panting as she tried to run, she had tried to fight off the, Grimm hordes, but there were too many, she had been separated from her team, she had been disarmed, and now she was the hunted, instead of the hunter.
Struggled raspy breaths escaped her lips as she tried to escape, but the gash on her leg was slowing her down as she tried to flee from the Beowulf's hunting her down for sport.
"Ah! Ah! Aaahhh?! Ophh?!" She fell, May had tripped over a piece of broken debris. She turned over to see a Beowulf slowly moving towards her. Tears ran down her face as she felt absolute terror in her very soul as this beast was about to charge her, and kill her.
"Please someone... Save me!" Tears fell down, May's eye as she closed it shut, not wanting to see her death coming. She heard the monster cry out, about to charge, and kill her, but suddenly silence.
May opened her eye, and instead of a group of, Grimm ready to take her life she saw a figure in white. It bore white armour, a large buckler shield that was two thirds it's height, and a long bladed spear, and most noticeably it had large white ears upon it's head. It looked similar to a...
"A... A rabbit...?" May gasped a she watched the rabbit stare at her for a moment before it, and several of it's kind jump away, and make it's way across the city of, Vale.
These white rabbits jumped across the city of, Vale, jumping down upon members of the, White Fang, and running them through with their weapons, or using their strong mechanical legs to jump high up onto ramparts, roofs, or balconies, and started raining down hell on, Grimm, rouge Atlasian Knights, and radical faunas alike.
Qrow Branwen watched on in bewilderment as several of these bunnies race about the city, slaying all those that stood before them as they went about.
"What the fuck...?" Qrow wondered aloud as he saw these bunny knights race about the city. He looked up into the sky to see several white Bullheads dropping dozens more of these bunny knights throughout the city. But, as he watched on, he saw where several of these crafts flying off into the air in a different direction.
"What... They're heading towards, Beacon...? I need to get their fast...?!" He was about to make a mad dash to find a way, any way to get to, Beacon. But, several of these rabbit knights surrounded him, their bodies standing perfectly still, all but one whose head was moving side to side as it looked at him.
"Uhh... You need something...?" Qrow nervously asked as the rabbits looked about him, until one of the rabbits spoke.
"Branwen. Qrow. Human. Gender: Male. Occupation: Huntsmen. Affiliation: Beacon Academy."
"Uhh yeah... Yeah that's me...?" Qrow was confused, he listened as the rabbit spoke in a low, soothing metallic voice, as it spoke several bullet points about him.
"Target identified. Surrender now. Ally of: Ozkin the Traitor."
The rabbit knights entered a defensive posture as they leveled their weapons at him. Qrow was taken aback, not by the fact several apparently, robot bunny knights were pointing weapons at him.
On second thought, he was taken aback the fact several rabbit knights that were as high as his chest were pointing weapons at him. But, it was the fact that they said that name, that they said, Ozkin, not, Ozpin. They called him, Ozkin which meant that whoever, or whatever had built these things knew exactly who, Ozpin was. And, whoever they are wanted, Ozpin's head.
Qrow drew his scythe as a sarcastic smirk moved across his face as he looked at these silly little bunnies.
"Yeah, I ain't going to do that..."
"So. Be. It." Echoed the metallic voice as they charged the veteran Huntsman.
"Rahh!"
The sounds of metal clashing against one another could be heard throughout the air. But, high above them in the clouds none could hear them. Especially atop a flying, Atlasian Battleship.
Upon the ship, a pair of criminals were gloating about their victory, but were preparing to make their daring escape as they had enough with their, 'business partners.'
"Alright, Neo! What do you say, we fake our deaths, and flee to, Mistral? Let's leave these fanatical dogs behind!"
Roman Torchwick, an infamous criminal of the city of, Vale said to his mute companion who nodded her head in agreement. The White Fang had forced them to partake in their schemes. Sure they had said they would be making a lot of money by doing this, but now that their work was done, they needed to get the hell out of here. Because, at this rate there would be nothing to rule when the, White Fang were finished.
"Alright let's get...?!"
The duo of thieves were about to make their daring escape, but they were stopped as a series of rabbit knights surrounded them. Roman, looked on them in utter bewilderment, Neo swooned over them at how cute they were.
"Torchwick. Roman. Human. Gender: Male. Occupation: Thief. Vanille. Trivia. Human. Gender: Female. Occupation: Thief."
Roman reeled back in shock as a robot rabbit thing called him out, but not nearly as much as, Neo did since it said her name, more so that it said her birthname. She looked on in fear as she saw the various weapons these rabbits were carrying.
"What the... How the hell do you bunny's know her real name?!"
The rabbit that spoke, walked forward, it was different compared to the rest of them, it bore a crown upon it's head with golden trimming. They watched the rabbit as it's eyes changed from a black opal to a ruby red as a new voice echoed through it's speakers.
"Roman Torchwick, and Vanille Trivia. Or, should I call you, Neoplitian?"
Instead of the low, soothing metallic voice, the rabbit spoke in a warm, motherly human voice appeared as they addressed the pair. Neo nervously nodded her head as she answered the robot bunny.
"Okay, so you know who we are... what do you little rabbits want?" Roman pulled out a cigar, trying to calm his nerves, and project an aura of control. He reached into his pocket trying to find his lighter, only to realize it was gone.
"Crescent Moon wishes to offer you a new business opportunity. One that I am sure you will be all too willing to accept."
Roman's eyebrow arched upward in shock, 'Crescent Moon' was a secret business partner he had had been working for, for years. Often, he acted as an information broker, or stole schematics, and raw resources for. And, working for, Crescent Moon always paid, it paid very good.
Roman eyed the rabbit knight as it walked forward, the tip of it's bladed spear started glowing red as, Roman felt heat emanating from it. He smiled as he walked over to it, placing his cigar on the blade tip, feeling the heat emanated from the tip before blowing a few buffs of smoke. He drew in a deep breath of smoke before letting it out, watching it fly through the air before looking back at the rabbits with a wide grin on his face.
"You've got my attention~!"
Roman laughed as, Neo started cooing over the rabbits. The rabbits swiftly took command over the, Atlasian Battleship as they charted a new course towards the, Amity Colosseum.
Several of the white Bullheads, Qrow Branwen had seen before he had been engaged in a fight against the white rabbits. Dozens of them were seen flying towards the, Amity Colosseum. Unloading dozens of these rabbits throughout the colosseum. Several of them landed by the docks, unloading their cargo of warriors before ushering everyone from civilians to, Hunters inside.
One such person was rushing over to see who these unexpected saviors were, hoping to gain any information on who, or what these saviors were.
"Who are you?! I am, General Ironwood, of the, Atlasian Military! I demand you identify yourselves right this instance!" General Ironwood ran over to the rabbits knights. Several of them stopped to stare at the, General before fanning out to block him from reaching the, Bullheads.
Ironwood stopped as he looked at the dozen, or so rabbit robots adopting a defensive position before him. Ironwood's grip on his pistol tightened as he watched these perfectly still robots stare him down.
"Ironwood. James. Human. Gender: Male. Affiliation: Atlas Military. Atlas Academy. Occupations: High General. Headmaster."
Ironwood turned on his heel as he heard his name, and a his position being called out. He turned to see another rabbit knight, this one armed with a longsword, and a crown with gold trimming. It was flanked by several other rabbit knights armed with what he assumed to be pulse rifles.
"You know who I am? They it would be best if you identified yourselves. Least you want to deal with the wrath of, Atlas!"
"Target identified. Surrender now. Ally of: Ozkin the Traitor."
"Ozkin the traitor...? How do you know that name, and what do you mean by calling him a trai...?!" Ironwood's breath fled his lungs as he saw an emblem etched into the shield, an emblem he had learned who it had represented, or more correctly, who it still represented.
Ironwood drew his pistol, and fired off two rounds; one round struck the head of the rabbits, causing it's head to erupt into a cloud of smoke, and metal fragments. The second shot hit the raised shield of the crowned rabbit knight. It didn't pierce the shield, but it left a sizeable dent in the shield.
But, before he could fire off another shot, the rabbit knights were upon him. Ironwood, could feel his body being pushed back as two blast from their pulse rifles hit him, despite their small size they packed a substantial punch, a punch strong enough to knock him to the floor. As he try to stand back up, several of the bunny robots bladed spears were thrusted into his robotic arm, and leg destroying the all of his cybernetics in an instant.
Ironwood screamed in rage as he felt his cybernetic limbs being torn bit from bit as he was dragged into a, Bullhead, and sent away.
As the Bulkhead escorting the prisoner rose into the sky, it passed several much bulkier air transports that were making their decent upon the battlegrounds of, Beacon Academy hell was still being unleashed.
Several Bullheads had landed, and unloaded their cargo, sending dozens, upon dozens of white rabbit robot knights across the grounds of, Beacon Academy. Hunting down any, Grimm that they came across. But, even more battles were happening within the halls of, Beacon Academy.
"AHHH!"
A scream of pain echoed through the ruined cafeteria of, Beacon Academy as a girl dressed in black cried out in pain as blade was ripped out of her belly.
"You have hurt me, and our cause my love… We were suppose to light the flames of revelation against humanity! And, yet you ran away? Like the coward you are..."
The girl placed her hand over the wound in an attempt to stop the bleeding as the faunas dressed in black with a red rose across his back walked over her bleeding form, gloating his victory as the flames of revolution were ignited.
"Well, I could keep you alive, but I think I’ll send your severed head in a box to your parents, that would send a good message to you parents, to all faunas! Of, what should be done with traitors!"
"No! Adam, wait! Please no!"
The girl screamed out in terror as she saw her vengeful former lover raise his blade above his head preparing to strike her down.
"Goodbye, Blake... RAHHH!"
"NOOOO!"
His blade was about to fall, but was stopped when he saw several, white rabbit robot's enter the cafeteria.
"Wha...? What the hell are those?!"
The girl saw one rabbit turn to look at him as he screamed, it's head twitch to the side as they looked at him. Before speaking in a low, soothing metallic voice.
"Taurus. Adam. Gender: Male. Faunas: Bull. Affiliation: White Fang. Terrorist organization. Rank: Commander. Command order: Terminate on sight."
"What?! You dare think I will allow, Atlas's special little robots to kill me?! Bring it on you bastards!" Adam Taurus roared in rage as he charged the robot bunnies.
Adam slashed his sword, unleashing an energy blast cleaving two of the robots into pieces. But, several more darted around him slashing with their blades, slowly chipping away at his aura as he tried to block their attacks, but failing to do so as they quickly darted around him, faster than what he expected.
"RAHH! You dare think you pitiful bastards can stop me?! I will destroy you! I will destroy you all! I will... GAHCK?!"
Blake watched on in horror as a bladed spear erupted from his back, as his body was effortlessly lifted into the air. She watched as, Adam's body further slide down the bladed spear, coughing up blood before his body hung limb upon the bladed spear. His body was lifted up higher before being thrown off the bladed spear to land pathetically on the ground. Dead.
She looked at the robot rabbit, it's pristine what armour stained red from freshly spilt blood as it slowly slide off it's armour onto the ground. It turned to look at, Blake, blood dripping off it's face.
"Belladonna. Blake. Gender: Female. Faunas: Cat. Affiliation: Student. Beacon Academy. Former affiliation: White Fang. Status: Injured. Requesting medical support."
Several of the rabbit robots broke away from, Blake, and started making their way through, Beacon Academy. While three of them, particularly the one drenched in blood stayed behind. She watched on as her hand tried to cover over the hole in her chest as her blood continued to spill out.
Her breath started becoming heavy as she the adrenaline spike was wearing off as she continued to bleed out. She was starting to feel weary, and her vision bleary, but she could hear with her heightened hearing that something was coming closer. She turned to her side to see another trio of rabbits walking towards her, with the one in the center looking different that the rest of them.
This robot had a buckier body, a large backpack on it, with bulky gauntlets on it’s arms, but what stood out the most to her, was instead of the beady eyes the rest of these robot bunnies commonly had, this one was outfitted with focal lenses. It scanned over her before kneeling down besides her, placing it's hands over her wound.
"Analyzing blood. Analyzes complete. Blood type: B-. Minimal blood lose. No requirements for blood transfusion. Puncture wound. Cause: Blade. Lethality to patient: Minimal. Executing recommended treatment procedure."
Blake marveled as the evidently, 'combat medic bunny' started treating her injury. It first quickly stabbed her with a needle, causing, Blake to yelp in pain as she felt the sudden jab in her arm. But, her body slowly started to relax as she felt a warm current flow through her veins, obviously some sort of pain killer.
She watched in amazement as the robot pulled out gauze from it's back pack, and socked up some of the excess blood on her arm. She felt a spray, most likely a sterilizing spray over her wound, before she say it's fingers on it's right hand open showing a needle that effortlessly, within the time it took a person to blink stich up her wound. It cleaned up the wound one more time, before placing a patch over the wound.
"Treatment complete. Recommendation: No movement. Movement may result in stiches rupturing. Rest." The 'medic' spoke in a calm. soothing yet metallic voice before it turned to address it's fellow robot rabbits. "New call for medical treatment received. Departing imminently. Stay to protect patient. Recovery team inbound."
"Understood."
Blake watched as the medical team departed, she could feel her consciousness slowly begin to fade no doubt a result of the pain killers. But, she had to ask one more question before she succumbed to sleep.
"W-Who are you...? What are...?" Blake's voice was weak, straining to remain conscious as she asked the question that had been no doubt asked a thousand times today. She watched as the blood stained rabbit turned to face her while it's companions were keeping watch.
"We are the, Jackalopes. Servants of the, Architect."
"T-The Architect...?"
"The Architect of, Ozkin the Traitor demise."
"O-Ozkin... the T-Traitor...?" Slumber soon swiftly overtook, Blake as she faded into darkness. The robot rabbit knights, the Jackalopes watched over her resting body as others darted within, and without the halls of, Beacon Academy.
Within the many yards of, Beacon Academy the majority of the invaders had been dealt with by the, Jackalopes. But, still some of the larger threats remained.
Several of the stolen, Atlasian Paladins were still engaged in combat with, Beacon's students, and faculty along with an array of visitors. Unlike the previous one several students of, Beacon Academy had faced, these were the fully equipped, and armed, more than a match for even veteran Hunters. Particularly for, Glynda Goodwitch, Deputy Headmistress of, Beacon Academy.
Glynda kept creating glyphs to act as barriers to protect her precious students from the raging, Paladins attacking them. Blocking their fists, and heavy weapons form smashing them to bits. But, they were having a damnable time to break through these damned machines.
"Pull back! Take the wounded away from here!" She shouted as she saw several students pull injured their fellow classmates away from the frontline.
Glynda was struggling to stand as her aura was near depletion, and her semblance was barely holding back the vicious attacks from these rouge, Paladins. She was not willing to die here, she would not allow herself to fall down leaving her precious students in harms way. But, as another strike from a, Paladin broke through her barrier, sending her flying through the air she thought otherwise. She landed roughly on the ground, pulling herself up as she looked through broken glasses at the oncoming, Paladin.
Glynda cried out in despair within her mind as she stared down this hulking mech. She feared that she was going to die now. She feared that she would not be able to protect her precious students from harm. That she failed her duty as a teacher. And, as the Paladin hovered over her, and as she prepared for death an unexpected savior appeared.
As the foot of the, Paladin came down to crush, Glynda, she was swiftly grabbed, and pulled away. Glynda looked to her sides as she saw a pair of rabbits pull her away. She was shocked by what she saw, but more so by what she knew these rabbits represented.
"J-Jackalopes? When did you get here?!"
But, before, Glynda could gain an answer the pair of, Jackalopes let her go aways away from the, Paladin before rushing in to engage it in close combat. They darted around the, Paladin hacking, and slashing the armour of the, Paladin. They bounced off harmlessly of its armour, but their overall goal wasn't to destroy the, Paladin, but to draw it away from, Glynda, and her students.
Glynda watched as the, Jackalopes that had just slashed at the, Paladin run away as a series of explosions ripped across the back of the, Paladin. It turned to see a massive, Jackalope, only a few feet taller than the, Paladin making it's way towards it, launching several more rockets from missile pods across it's back.
The Paladin fired several rounds at the heavy, Jackalope, but it raised it's shield up blocking the oncoming missiles before bashing the, Paladin with it's shield, sending it reeling back. It threw a wide, wild punch at the heavy, Jackalope that effortlessly cut it's arm off with it's sword lance. As the, Paladin's severed arm still fell the, Jackalope thrusted it's bladed spear through the, Paladin running it clean through. It's super heated blade ran through the mech like a hot knife through butter. Is placed it's foot upon the, Paladin, and kicked it off it's blade. Letting it fall upon the ground with a dull thud.
"Since when did...?" Glynda watched as hundreds of Jackalopes flooded across the grounds before darting into the forest surrounding, Beacon. Glynda watched as several more, Jackalopes came rushing forward, only this time with several, Jackalopes equipped with large backpacks rushing over to check on the injured students.
Glynda then turned her head to the side as she saw a trio of, Jackalopes rush over to her, only with the figure in the center holding a war hammer instead of a bladed spear, and a gold trimmed crown upon it's head. As it neared her it addressed her in a calm, soothing metallic voice.
"Goodwitch. Glynda. Human. Gender: Female. Affliction: Beacon Academy. Deputy Headmistress."
Glynda looked at the, Jackalope as it rattled off information about her, before stopping, and it's eyes delved into a ruby red shade, and adopted a more warm, human motherly tone of voice.
"Greetings, Lady Goodwitch. We have been searching for you since entering, Vale airspace."
"My apologies, SALEM. I haven't reached for my scroll since the attack started. I've been focusing on protecting my students, but I thought the plan was to invade after the, Vital Festival?"
"That originally was the plan. But the, Architect deemed it an opportune moment to strike while the, White Fang, and the Grimm were invading the city."
"Because it would make the, Jackalopes, and subsequently the, Architect look like the saviors of the day. And, while that is happening, you can make it look like, Ozpin and all those that stand besides him died during the liberation..."
"Precisely." The ruby eyed, Jackalope replied as, Glynda let loose a heartly laugh as she ran hand through her disheveled hair, as a vindictive smirk spread across her face.
"Finally! After all these years, our family will be avenged! You will find, Ozkin... Ozpin at the top of his tower! Find him, and make him pay for what he did to us!" Glynda yelled in a bloody rage at the, Jackalope. As a mad delight echoed in her voice. She had been playing the faithful follower for that bastard for years now, and now it would finally, finally come to an end.
As, Glynda screamed her furry, she watched as the, Jackalopes eyes changed for a ruby red, into a deep vibrant blue. It spoke in a voice of a calm, yet vengeful fatherly tone as it spoke to the girl before him.
"That's my girl."
The, Jackalopes jumped away from, Glynda as they made their way towards Beacon tower. She laughed in amusement as she saw the little rabbits make their way towards the tower. She smiled, while today was going to be a painful day for her, no doubt a number of her students had been killed today. But, her family would have their revenge this day, and that's all that mattered.
As a dozens of, Jackalopes rushed up the stairway leading to the top of, Beacon Tower, Ozpin's office. Ozpin was looking over his desk, checking over all of contingency plans to help him deal with the aftermath from this attack. He would need to contact, Ironwood to help come up with plans to subjugate... liberate the faunas from the, White Fang.
Yes, he thought. This would help deal with the faunas, and bring the world to peace so the, Brother Gods would return, and that magic would return. Yes, this was the prefect plan to...
Ozpin turned around as series of smashing against the wall. He watched at the section of the wall where a hidden door that lead to the staircase that lead to the top of the tower was bulging outward as something was bashing it, tryin to get in.
Ozpin reached for his cane as the wall exploded as dozens of white rabbits flooded the room, surrounding him, cutting off any chance for him to escape.
"What the...?! Who are you!" Ozpin demanded as he saw another rabbit, only this one was equipped with a long bladed spear, and a white crown with gold trimming approach him. It had deep vibrant blue eyes as it looked at, Ozpin giving him the once over.
"Who are we? We are the remnants of a memory you sought to destroy. The essence of an ideal you thought was wrong. Embers of a legacy that refuses to go quietly into the night. A vengeful fury that will never be quenched. I am the, Architect, and the Reclaimer. I will have my revenge, I will reclaim what you stole for me, and I will ensure that you never forget what you did to me, and my family! Ozkin the Traitor!"
Ozpin's eyes widened in shock as he heard his old name being uttered once more. And, the way that his name was spoken spoke of a history, and a rage unforgiving in it's origin.
"Who are you, I demand that you reveal yourself!" Ozpin leveled his weapon at this, shouting as he demanded that they identified themselves.
"You tell me who I am? Let's see if you remember." The Jackalope King presented it's shield towards, Ozpin and he saw a pair of golden crescent arcs upon a white field. He recoiled in fear as he remember that emblem, and the fury that would soon be brought upon him.
"No... Nononono! You died! I made sure of it! You died along with your families legacy after the, Colour War! The Arcadia lineage ended!"
"And, yet, here I am..." The Jackalope King walked towards, Ozpin, its weapon being deagged across the floor, leaving groves in the ground followed by the sound of scrapping of metal upon glass.
"How! How is this possible?!"
"Wouldn't you like to find out..."
The Jackalope King lunged forward, smashing his bladed spear across, Ozpin's barrier. He smiled at the, Jackalope King's failed attempt to attack him, but that smile quickly fell when dozens of the other, Jackalopes attacked him, slashing away with their blades across, Ozpin barrier. They struck so many times that he lost count of the amount, he saw the cracks in the barrier form before it shattered into a million pieces. He was was going to cry out in pain, but felt hundreds of slashes upon his body, chipping away at his aura in a flash, it too breaking into a million pieces.
Ozpin was about to make a final attempt to escape to end his existence in this body before, jumping into a new one, but before he could he felt searing hot pain cut through his arm. He looked over to see his right arm from the elbow flying through the air, the superhot blade spear passing by in a red blur.
"RA-AHHHHH?!" Ozpin screamed in pain as one of the, Jackalopes severed his arm, his screams, and pain only grew louder as he felt his other arm, and then his legs being severed, and cauterized in a single instance.
Ozpin body effortlessly fell upon the floor like a sack of flower. He felt his heart was raging as raw unfettered pain surged throughout his body, he hopped that this searing hot pain would cause him to go into shock, and kill him. But, he felt the pain across his body slowly fade away as a cooling wave flooded across his body. He looked up to see a pair of, Jackalope Medics treating him.
"You really think I would allow you to just kill yourself, Ozkin? No, no I will not allow your death to come to you so easily." Spoke the, King Jackalope as it marched over, and placed it's foot upon his chest.
"GAH?!" Ozpin screamed in pain as the, King Jackalopes stepped on his chest, and thrusted it's bladed spear slamming into the ground inches from his face.
"Now then... You pledged your loyalty to me, and swore to serve me, and my family. And, yet you betrayed me, and my family. Destroyed my families legacy, and all we sought to build, and protect. You will now suffer for your crimes. I will uproot all that your treasonous hands have built. I will remind the people of this world who I am! That I am there lawful, King! That I am, Jaune Lunaria Arcadia! King of the Kingdom of Valaicia!"
The King Jackalope thrusted it's blade high into the air, followed by the rest of the, Jackalopes thrusting their blades into the air as well as a salute to their, King’s triumphant return.
But, as the King Jackalope, no. King Jaune Arcadia looked down upon the traitor, Ozkin. Even if his eyes could not express the slightest bit of emotion, Ozpin could feel the unbridled rage burning within them.
"But, before we do anything else. I have one question to ask you, and you will answer me this question!" King Jaune Arcadia placed it's face upon, Ozpins as he asked him the one question he'd been wanting to ask him for years.
"Tell me... Where is my queen?! Where is my wife?!! Where is, Queen Salem Arcadia?!!!"
///
Phew... This was certainly a long one... This was going to be a spinoff from, Hunter Drones. But, that story idea wasn't going anywhere. So, I started writing it as a, Jaune created the, Jackalopes instead of the, Hunter Drones. That wasn't going anywhere either...
So, I started writing it as if, Ozpin betrayed his, King. Jaune Arc, well Arcadia in the story, and it just lead from one thing to another as I was writing it.
And well, here we are.
And, it all started because I wanted to write a story based on this photo.
Consider this the, Jackalope.
Tumblr media
And, yes I know there are two, Salem's in the story. They're different beings, and I'm too lazy to come up with a new one. Shut up.
Rebuilding - Derek Hale x female reader
Tumblr media
Summary: You show Derek the rebuilt Hale House you did for him
Words: 1.8k
warnings: none really; heavy making out
Notes: I can make a smutty part two
Y/N’s POV
The old Hale House had stood as a haunting reminder of the past, a testament to the tragedy and loss the family had endured. But now, it has been transformed into something new, something hopeful. With the combined effort of the pack and my Dad, it had become a symbol of rebirth and unity, a mansion that has welcomed every member with open arms and spare rooms for new pack members.
As I stand in front of the restored mansion, I can’t help but feel a mixture of excitement and nervousness. Derek, who had once lived here in its glory days, deserves to see what I’ve done to the place. He’s been through so much, and I wanted this surprise to be a new beginning for him… for us hopefully.
The anticipation in the air is palpable, and I can’t help but fidget with the key in my hand as I wait for Derek. The old Hale House, bathed in the soft light of the setting sun, seems to hold its breath in eager anticipation of his arrival. And then, I hear it - the familiar purr of Derek’s car engine. It’s a sound that I’ve come to associate with his arrival, and my heart quickens in response. The car pulls down the long, winding driveway, and I keep staring at the house, my hands shaking a little as I fiddle with the keys.
Suddenly, there he is. Derek appears beside me, his tall, brooding frame casting a shadow on the gravel driveway. He looks rugged and handsome as ever, with that alluring air of mystery that has always drawn me to him. His dark brows are furrowed in curiosity and confusion, his eyes scanning the mansion before us as if he’s trying to work out where we are. It makes my heart drop as he doesn’t recognise it despite me trying to keep it as near as I can to the original Hale house.
But then, something remarkable happens. As his eyes roam over the mansion’s exterior, his brows furrow even deeper, and then there’s a hint of disbelief in his expression. It’s as if the familiarity of the place has begun to dawn on him, piece by piece. The realisation hits him like a tidal wave. His kaleidoscope eyes widen, and a gasps escapes his pretty and plump lips, “Is… is this….?” His voice trembles with emotion, and for a moment, he can’t seem to find the words.
I hold out the keys for him and he looks between the house and the keys and then back at the house, “I can’t… I… can you…” His voice falters, and it’s clear that he’s fighting back tears, the enormity of the moment almost too much to bear. Without a word, I’m nodding and reaching for his trembling hands. Our fingers interlace, and with a gentle squeeze, I lead him towards the grand entrance.
Derek’s eyes remain locked onto the mansion, his disbelief and wonder still etched across his features. But he doesn’t need to say anything more for me to understand the whirlwind of emotions storming within him.
I turn the key in the lock, my own fingers trembling slightly with anticipation. The door swings open, revealing the lovingly restored interior. The warm, golden light spills into the entryway, painting a new chapter on the old canvas of the Hale House. The grand entrance is now invitingly open, Derek taking a step forwards. His presence is so close to me that his chest is practically pressed against my back. The feel of him so near is electrifying, and it sends a shiver down my spine.
“Welcome home Derek.” I say, my voice a soft, heartfelt whisper, as we cross the threshold together.
The atmosphere inside is a mixture of nostalgia and fresh beginnings. The original features of the Hale House have been preserved, the hardwood floors polished, the walls adorned with artworks from the pack. The spaciousness of the rooms has been maintained, yet there’s a sense of cozy warmth that wasn’t there before.
Derek’s gaze dances the space, a mixture of awe and sentimentality reflected in his expressive eyes. He appreciates the care and attention that went into preserving the essence of the house he called home.
Then, he grabs my hands again with a gentle yet firm grip, leading me through the echoing halls as the pack gave us the house for Derek to see alone.  It’s a touch that sends a rush of warmth through me, the electricity of his touch palatable. We move through the house, our footsteps echoing, and Derek’s strides confident, as if he’s revisiting his own memories.
As we ender the kitchen, Derek stops in his tracks. A soft, almost reverent sound escapes him, and his eyes widen again as he takes in the layout. It’s practically identical to the original Hale House kitchen, meticulously restored to match his recollections with the help of creepy uncle Peter.
His grip on my hand tightens, and he turns to me, his expression filled with amazement, “This… it’s just like I remember it.” He says, his vice soft and filed with wonder, “You’ve brought it all back to life.”
I can’t help but smile at his reaction. The kitchen holds countless memories for him, both happy and bittersweet, and seeing it so faithfully restored means the world to him. "We wanted it to feel like home," I reply, my voice equally hushed, knowing how much this place means to him. Derek’s thumb brushes over the back of my hand, his touch conveying the depth of his gratitude. It’s a silent exchange of emotions, the unspoken understanding between us.
And then, something changes in the air. Derek turns to me, his kaleidoscope eyes now shining with warmth and something else, something that sends a shiver of anticipation down my spine. His gaze flits down my lips, and in response, I can’t help but wet them with my tongue, suddenly feeling acutely aware of their dryness. It draws a small sound from Derek’s throat, low and almost involuntary, a testament to the magnetic pull between us. He leans in, closing the distance between our lips with a purposeful intent. Our mouths meet in a soft, longing kiss, a silent declaration of the emotions that have simmered between us for so long.
His lips are soft yet insistent, moving against mine with a deliberate tenderness. I can feel the gentle, rhythmic movement of his mouth, each touch setting my heart racing. There’s a hint of urgency in his kiss, a desire that has been simmering just beneath the surface. Derek’s hands finding their way to my waist, holding e close as if he never wants to let me go. The touch of his fingertips against my skin sends shivers down my spine, and I press my body closer to his, wanting to feel every inch of him.
My own hands move to rest on his chest, feeling the solid warmth of his body beneath my touch. They gradually work their way up, entwining in his shirt, wanting to pull him closer still. The connection between us deepens with every passing second, a silent confirmation of the emotions we’ve held back fr so long.
Derek’s hands, which had been gently holding my waist, suddenly tighten their grip and before I can react, he’s lifting me up with a powerful yet careful motion. My legs instinctively wrap around this waist as he sets me on the edge of the kitchen island, never once breaking the kiss.
Our lips remain locked in a heated embrace, a heated embrace, a testament to the fiery passion that's been ignited between us. Derek's tongue brushes over my lips, seeking entrance, and without hesitation, I part them, with a small, embracing sound escaping my lips which he swallows, tongue slipping past my lips. It's a dance of desire, a clash of longing, and a melding of two souls that have been drawn together by an irresistible force. Our mouths move with a shared urgency, each kiss deeper and more consuming than the last.
As our tongues explore and intertwine, Derek’s grip on my hips tightens, pulling me closer until I’m arched on the edge of the kitchen island. The sensation of his body pressed against mine is electrifying, sending heat down south where I’m pressed against his growing problem. It has my thighs tightening around him, hips jerking a little and drawing sounds from both of us.
Finally our lips part, but only slightly, our foreheads resting against each other as we catch our breath. Derek’s voice is a husky whisper, filled with raw desire, “I’ve wanted to do that for so long.” He confesses, his words heavy with yearning, “ I couldn’t keep it in any longer.”
My heart flutters at his admission, and I look into his kaleidoscope eyes, my own filled with the same longing, “Der…” I breathe, “I’ve felt the same way. I’ve wanted this as much as you have.”
His lips find mine again, and the kiss that follows is fierce and fervent, a passionate culmination of our unspoken desires. It's a promise, a declaration, and a celebration of the love that has finally been acknowledged.
But then, Derek's lips trail down from mine to my neck, and his kisses ignite a trail of fire across my skin. I gasp as his mouth leaves a mark, a fervent, possessive hickey, and another one right beside it. Each one is a silent proclamation of his desire, a mark of his longing for me. As Derek's kisses continue to trail down my neck, I gasp and my fingers clutch at his shoulders. The sensation is almost too much to bear, the heat of his mouth leaving a trail of fire across my skin, marked by possessive hickeys.
“Y/N,” He murmurs breathlessly voice heavy with desire, “If we don’t stop, I won’t be able to stop myself.” He pulls away slightly, his eyes dark and smouldering now and he lets out a low and sensual chuckle when an embarrassing moan escapes me.
“Maybe…” I have to clear my throat, “Maybe we should check out your room.” My heart is racing as I say it, looking at him with a mixture of curiosity and desire, eager to hear his response but also somewhat ready for the rejection.
Instead, he groans, head falling to my shoulder before he growls out, “Don’t… don’t say things like that baby girl.” I stay silent, knowing there’s more and he kissing my collarbone sweetly before murmuring, “But, I think it’s a very, very good idea.”
We write this call from our student movement in the Gaza Strip, from the heart of occupied Palestine, from under the brutal Zionist bombing, explosions, and the clutches of the monstrous nightmare of death that lurks around us in every corner, house, and street.
We raise it from prison cells, from beneath the destruction, and from inside the rubble, to send it to our fellow students, our comrades, brothers and sisters, in all the universities, schools and institutes of the world everywhere, & we address the global student movement… that was launched in order to stop the genocidal war that is being engineered and financed by the governments of the United States, Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, Canada, Australia and others… this courageous student movement that was born in the universities as an integral part of our struggle, that expresses the conscience of students and peoples who yearn for justice and freedom.
We in the Gaza Strip look at you with pride and honour, as you are a revolutionary fighting vanguard, and a natural and integral part of our Palestinian liberation movement. You have come in a resounding, honest and clear response against the Israeli massacres and those who finance them, confronting the companies of the Zionist war of genocide and ethnic cleansing that have claimed the lives of thousands of Palestinian students of all ages… including hundreds of struggling Palestinian student cadres, wounded and imprisoned, in addition to our great loss in the martyrdom of our professors and teachers, and the destruction of our universities, institutes and schools.
Today, we call on you, from the midst of massacres and siege, to a new revolutionary phase of comprehensive escalation. We call on you to raise the pace and ceiling of your struggle and your honorable stances, quantitatively and qualitatively, against the institutions, corporations, and governments that participate in the slaughter of our children, our students, and our people.. In Rafah, Jabalia, Khan Younis, and the entire Gaza Strip, and against the settler gangs, armies of Zionist killers, that commit their crimes in camps, cities and villages in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem. We call on you to besiege the White House in Washington, and to surround Western colonial governments and Zionist embassies, and the corporations that finance the Zionist entity and arm its criminal army with all kinds of bombs and means of death and destruction. These criminal colonial symbols represent the forces that support “Israel” to kill us – with your tax money and the money spent at complicit corporations, to destroy our homes, our society, and our future.
Therefore, we call on you to blockade them until the American Zionist aggression against our people in the Gaza Strip stops. At the same time, we renew our call to the teaching, academic, and union bodies in universities, as well as cultural, academic, and scientific figures, to advocate for and support student movements until they achieve their goals. Today we turn to high school students all over the world to participate widely in the struggles and activities of the university student movement, organizing demonstrations, and organizing educational days about the Palestinian struggle for liberation and return.
Secondary schools constitute a strong fortress and a great support for university students everywhere. Once again, we send special greetings to our brothers and sisters, the students of Palestine in the diaspora.
We greet our comrades and colleagues in Students for Justice in Palestine, the Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, Palestine Action, and the academic boycott and divestment campaigns, and we salute everyone who participated and participates in student encampments. The duty and responsibility of Palestinian students in the Gaza Strip and all of occupied Palestine is steadfastness, commitment, resistance, unity, and alignment with the resistance and the people… …until the U.S. – Zionist aggression stops and the occupation is defeated and removed from our land — all our land, from the river to the sea.
Long live the struggle of Palestine’s students for return and liberation.
Long live international solidarity. And together we will be victorious!
New Athens, a Percy Jackson HeadCanon:
Percy discussed with Annabeth how he wished New Rome was closer to Manhattan, or that Camp Halfblood had its own similar city so that he could be closer to his family and hometown. this sparked an idea for Annabeth.
after finishing her olympus project, she began to work on her pitch for New Athens, a safehaven for Greek and Roman demigods to grow old and live their lives in right next to Camp Halfblood. Though it was Percy who sparked the idea, the idea became so much larger and more significant than an offhand wish.
with the help of chiron and dionysus, annabeth gets her pitch approved, and work begins.
demigods of all godly parenthood have their chances to shine in the process;
Athena kids are mainly city planners, civil engineers, and architects.
Hephaestus kids are mechanics, constructors, and advisers for the civil engineers.
Demeter kids are mainly agricultural engineers, and alongside Persephone kids, also environmental engineers.
Hermes and Iris kids are transportation engineers, and Hermes kids also focus on hospitality of Roman demigods and hunters.
Apollo kids are healthcare executives and administrators, and together with Dionysus kids, they focus on entertainment.
Aphrodite kids focus on the sociological aspects of urban planning.
Ares kids focus on safety and protection.
There are much more jobs as well, some predominantly run by other demigods (Hypnos, Hecate, etc), and some run by a mixture.
While the jobs are predominantly separated by lineage, any demigod is allowed to work any job they desire.
Frank and Hazel also send in Roman volunteers to provide assistance in the development process. In their words, "You need as many hands as possible to build a city from scratch".
Leo worked considerably on this as this was his chance to be in a place where he felt he belonged. It also felt like a way to honour Jason's legacy as Jason lived in New Rome but chose Camp Halfblood. Leo wholeheartedly believes that had Jason been alive, he would want nothing more than for Camp Halfblood to be a liveable and lively place.
Leo builds a monument in Jason's memory. It is engraved with the words "Lover, Brother, Friend, Praetor, Hero. Symbol of Roman and Greek Unity. Lightning Boy." When it was first revealed, he and Piper sat there all day, holding each other.
while piper offers all the help she can, she never once seriously considers living in New Athens. while her demigod lineage is something so integral to who she is, she would rather live in the outside world. Leo and Annabeth understand.
clarisse works on a monument for all heroes lost in the battle of manhattan. even though it was her idea, it still hurts to see Silena's name engraved on the marble.
dionysus pretends to hate it, despite having played a huge role in convincing the gods (especially Zeus) that this was a great idea. he never takes credit for that. annabeth only ever finds out through chiron, months after they started work.
the project takes years to complete, but it makes annabeth's world. she considers it one of her greatest achievements, if not the greatest; she has helped her people and the future generations to come. this work cannot be forgotten. her love for demigods is written all over the city, and so many generations will see it.
percy opens a small candy shop the first moment he can. it mostly sells blue candy.
leo finally opens a garage, becoming the best mechanic of New Athens.
annabeth continues working on architecture, helping build any new buildings and working on any expansions.
grover and juniper build a family together there, their home near the woods. percy, annabeth, and grover stay close the entire time.
piper visits often. she and leo always visit Jason's monument when she does, and they leave flowers every time.
will and nico own an apartment. will's still a doctor. nico becomes a teacher. it's a surreal feeling to be able to help kids feel safe and happy, something he did not often get at their age. they've adopted two cats together.
when hazel and frank have the opportunity, they visit as well. they visit nico and will whenever they can, and percy and annabeth and leo and piper as much as possible too. despite being tied down to new rome, they still love New Athens.
reyna and thalia only visit with the hunters, but both go to jason's monument together. they don't have to talk to understand each other.
chiron is happy. in his thousands of years of working at camp, he had never had the ability to see his pupils live long lives. even if they'd lived to their 80s+, they never did so at camp. it's a new experience for him, and to all greek halfbloods who could now feel safe as they grew older in a place that accepted them with open arms.
The Birth Chart of Mexico 🇲🇽🌮
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mexico Birth Chart Placements 🌌:
Rising in Gemini | Sun in Virgo | Moon in Taurus | Mercury in Libra | Venus in Scorpio | Mars in Leo | Jupiter in Gemini | Saturn in Sagittarius | Uranus in Scorpio | Neptune in Sagittarius | Pluto in Pisces
Sun conjunct Vesta in Virgo in the 4th House: Mexico celebrates Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), which is a dual celebration of life & death. This sacred Mexican holiday is celebrated primarily on November 1st & 2nd, when they set up altars to honor the spirits of the dead—especially beloved ancestors, family members, and children. The 4th house represents ancestors, heritage, & family. Virgo is a highly dedicated sign and rules over communication. Vesta is the high priestess asteroid and conjunct the Sun, meaning that a large part of Mexico's vitality, identity, and happiness comes from dedication, rituals, and sacred spirituality
Taurus Moon in the 12th house: Mexico's cuisine is incredibly well-known and beloved worldwide, ranking 3rd globally. Mexico has a very highly indulgent culture; in indulgent cultures, there is a higher degree of importance on leisure time. Siestas are very common in Mexico, as well as a go-with-the-flow approach with social outings/gatherings and the overarching theme of working to live, not the other way around. Taurus rules over pleasure, indulgence, & food, whereas the 12th house rules over sleep & trusting the process
Libra Mercury 19° in the 5th house: In Mexico, Spanish is the most widely spoken language. Spanish is also known as one of the 5 Romance languages. The 19° is a Libra degree; both Libra energy & the 5th house are associated with over-romance. I would also like to add that many people use Spanish nicknames for their lovers, like "Mi Amor," even if they don't speak Spanish fluently ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, and Libra rules over popularity
Venus in Scorpio: Mexicans do love their telenovelas, where we see dramatic art in motion, with secrets, scandals, sexy intimacy, & romantic depth. Witchcraft & ancient indigenous practices are so prevalent in Mexico they have their own national convention in March. Venus rules over what we like, and Scorpio rules over occult knowledge like astrology, witchcraft, & medicinal healing
Venus conjunct Uranus in Scorpio: Almost half of Mexico recognizes & honors astrology's relevance, and more than half of Mexico believes in extraterrestrial life. Mexico has a rich collection of pyramids and pyramid-like structures incorporated with advanced engineering and astronomical alignments. Uranus rules over innovation, technology, things ahead of their time, and astrology. Both the planet Uranus & the sign of Scorpio are tied to astrology & aliens. Venus represents what is popular & physical art
Libra in the 5th house: There are many types of traditional Mexican dances that reflect Libra's flirtation, the union of two people coming together, dancing in harmony. Dance can be courtship, romantic, sensual, unity, or celebratory. The 5th house rules over dance, and Libra rules over quality time and the bonding of two people as well as the expression of beauty, art, romance, and sensuality. Some popular dances in Mexico, like salsa, merengue, and bachata, are well known for their hip-focused movements, and Libra rules over the hips
Aquarius in the 9th house: Since the 9th house represents culture/religion, I'm using this house to interpret what the culture/main religions of the country are like. Aquarius is a very friendly, social, inclusive, impulsive, & nonlinear sign. There's prevalent social spontaneity and improvisation in Mexico, where invites to gatherings are often open invitations. Chiron also sits here in the house as well, as this can describe the healing effect the culture of Mexico has on people in regard to its love for socializing & flexible approach to life
Leo Black Moon Lilith conjunct Leo Ceres in the 3rd House: November 1st is Día de los Inocentes (Day of the Innocents) for children who have passed. This day offers a time for communication between the living and the deceased. Leo represents children, Ceres represents motherhood, Black Moon Lilith represents our inner witch, and the 3rd house represents communication
